i don’t know if i know how to word this properly but basically i just really like that buck’s realization shows older people who might be questioning their sexuality that it’s okay to not know in your thirties or older, but i also really like that it shows younger people that you don’t have to know right here and now and there’s no age you have to know by. i like how it emphasises the fluidity of sexuality in the form of a macho firefighter who hasn’t considered men in any conscious (or even subconscious) light, and i think that’s a very important point to put across
there’s something to be said about finding out that you’re queer in your thirties and i love that 911 is showing us that through buck, and showing us that maybe you might always know through hen, and showing us that maybe you’ve repressed it for a good chunk of your life through michael but there’s also something to be said for the younger viewers who are struggling to label themselves - to know that it’s okay to not know just yet and still be valid, and be a member of the queer community. and there’s also something to be said about seeing a thirty year old man slip into his realization all happy and safe with another firefighter who tried to hide that part of him, and basically i love my lil gay firefighter show

A Baker's Dozen - Two
Twelve Pedro boys, twelve stand alone short stories, all set in the same bakery.
Tumblr media
Hello!
I'm so overwhelmed and grateful for all the lovely comment you all left on the first part of A Baker's Dozen! I'm having so much fun exploring what it's like to write for different Pedro boys and finding their voices.
For those of you who are new, we've got twelve Pedro boys, twelve short stories, each set in the same bakery.
It's fluff and sweetness, lots of food and flirting. Series Master List
Taglist: @harriedandharassed @inept-the-magnificent @sheepdogchick3  @readingiskeepingmegoing @noisynightmarepoetry @survivingandenduring
Tumblr media
The glare is what catches your eye first, sunlight bounces off the shiny metal surface and hits your face through the window. You shield your eyes and glance at the door as it swings open, for a second you can’t see who steps through, you’re almost blinded, but as the door swings closed, he, or she, comes into focus.
“Hi, welcome!” you say, trying to keep your voice steady as the imposing figure takes a few tentative steps into your bakery.
“Heading for a con?” you ask, glancing up and down the impressive outfit.
“A con?”
The voice that comes through the helmet is deep and resonates through what almost sounds like a speaker. It’s definitely a man, if the sheer size of the body didn’t give it away. He’s tall, broad and made even broader by the metal pauldrons on his shoulders. A heavy belt hangs around his narrow waist as if to emphasize the sheer build of this hunk of metal that’s standing in the middle of your shop, looking somewhat lost despite the fact that you can't see his face under a solid looking metal helmet.
“Yeah, like a convention, where people meet and dress as their favorite characters from tv-shows and stuff. Are you going to a con?”
“No,” comes the short answer.
He looks around the bakery, the black T of his visor seemingly scanning the selection of bread and cakes you have for sale today.
“Something smells…good,” he says, turning his helmet back onto you and you can’t help but smile.
“Thanks, yeah, I had a pretty tasty selection today, but most of it’s already been sold,” you wave your hand over the mostly empty display cases, “Do you want to buy something?”
“I…don’t think I have credit,” he hesitates but he takes another step into the shop, glancing down at the croissants stacked in a basket next to the till.
“We accept cash too,” you reply, “you don’t need a credit card.”
“No, I mean, I don’t have the right…currency for your world.”
“Oh…” you frown, did he just say ‘your world’?
You mentally shake your head, a misunderstanding, surely.
“I mean, I could let you sample something, then maybe you’ll come back with the right currency,” you say, smiling at the man. He sounds a bit confused and your customer service persona kicks in, unwilling to let someone leave without trying something that’ll get them to come back.
“I don't know what you sell here,” he says, “I have never seen food like this before.”
“Oh, really? What kind of baked goods do you have where you’re from?” you ask, surprised, you were sure pretty anyone would recognise at least a muffin and a cookie, both on display in your cases.
The tall metal man comes closer, standing next to the counter and looking at the selection, “We have many baked things where I’m from, but I have never tried any of them.”
“You’ve never had dessert?” you ask incredulously, “I have dessert every day, it’s a must!”.
“I’m Mandalorian, food is only energy for our bodies, we don’t indulge in it,” he straightens up when he says it, his hands falling to his hips. He looks imposing, like a warrior all of a sudden, and his voice takes on a serious note.
“Oh, wow, I didn’t know that was a thing, a mandalorian, huh” you raise your eyebrows, this guy doesn’t even seem like a cosplayer. Or he’s really in character.
“Are you not allowed to eat dessert at all, or is it just like, not an everyday kinda thing?”
“I can eat what I want but I’ve never had a need for dessert,” the voice coming through the helmet is a rich baritone, but holds a guarded edge, like the owner is trying to navigate something unfamiliar.
“I mean…technically there’s never a need for dessert, but I eat it everyday anyway. A good dessert is sometimes the only way to fix a bad day,” you give him your warmest smile, trying to make him feel a bit more at ease as you go back to straightening up your counter for the end of the day.
“What’s this?” The man points to the croissants on the counter and you pick one up with the tongs, holding it out to him.
“It’s a croissant, a French type of pastry. It’s not sweet, just has a metric ton of butter in it. It’s really flaky as you can see. Go on, try it.”
“I don’t remove my helmet in front of other people,” he replies and your eyebrows shoot even higher up into your hairline.
“What…but why?” The second the question comes out of your mouth you regret it, “Sorry, don’t answer that, it’s none of my business.”
“You can ask, I don’t mind,” he says and you think you hear a slight smile from behind the helmet. “I’m Mandalorian, it’s my religion, and we don’t remove our helmets in front of others, it is the way.”
“So you only eat alone?” you ask, curiosity overtaking your embarrassment and he nods.
“Yes, we never share a meal with others.”
“How sad, for me I mean,” you say, “One of the best parts about being a baker is seeing when others eat what I’ve made, I love seeing their reactions. If you try something, I won’t know what you think about it.”
“I can just turn my back to you and lift my helmet a little,” he replies, and you can definitely hear the smile in his voice now. It changes the tone of his voice, as it comes through the helmet, makes it warmer, softer, and you smile back at him.
“What do you want to try then?” you ask, “If you’ve never had dessert then I have to give you something special to try.”
“I don’t know,” he looks around the cakes and cookies on display and shakes his head, “I can read your signs but I don’t know what cinnamon or vanilla tastes like, or this one.” He points to a stack of millionaire’s shortbread, “I have never heard of peanuts.”
“Well, in that case, just in case you're allergic to peanuts, let’s not start with them,” you grin, “the last thing I need is you passing out from an allergic shock in my shop. That armor looks a lot heavier than what I can lift.”
The Mandalorian looks down at the plates that cover almost every part of his body, “It’s made from beskar, it’s a metal from my home world.”
“It’s beautiful,” you say, and you mean it. The metal is polished and rich looking, a light gray color that catches the light as he moves, “It’s a very beautiful armor.”
“Do you want to hold a piece?” he asks, looking over at you again, or at least you think he’s looking at you, it’s hard to tell with the helmet.
“Is that allowed?” you ask, “I don’t want you to break any rules in your religion.”
“There is no rule against this,” he says, reaching up and taking off one of the shoulder pauldrons. It has the image of a dangerous looking animal that you don’t recognise, and as he hands it over, you see him reverently brush his fingers over it. Carefully you take it from his gloved hands, the metal warm to the touch, and just as heavy as it looks.
“It’s warm!” you say surprised and he nods.
“It holds my body heat easily, good for cold climates.”
You don’t know why, maybe because you can’t see even a sliver of skin on the man, but the thought of holding something that’s been warmed by his body heat, makes you slightly aroused. He could look like anything underneath all that metal and cloth, but his voice, his rich, low voice through the helmet, and his sheer imposing presence, makes you almost subconsciously attracted to him.
He comes around the counter and stands close as you turn the pauldron over in your hands, tracing the outline of the animal, feeling the warmth of his body.
“What is this animal?” you ask, looking up at your own reflection in his visor, “I’ve never seen one like it before.”
“It’s a mudhorn, it’s the mark of my clan.” He traces his fingers along the animal too, brushing against yours as you marvel at the intricate work.
“Thank you,” you say, handing the pauldron back as the touch of his fingers against yours becomes too much to handle, “Thank you for letting me hold it.”
“You’re welcome,” he says, his voice lower now that he’s standing next to you. You watch as he clicks the pauldron into place on his shoulder again.
How do you flirt with a man whose face you can’t even see? you wonder as he turns his visor back on you. It seems like he holds you in place for a few seconds before you slowly have to turn yourself away from him and the intensity of his sightless gaze.
“So you’ve never had dessert and you don’t know what any of this tastes like?” you say, giving your own cakes a critical look.
“No,” comes the voice from the man beside you, “Maybe you can choose for me?”
“Hmm…that’s a big ask. Your first dessert has to be something really special, but maybe not too overwhelming, and not too sweet either because if you’re not used to it, then sugar can be a bit too much. And it has to have the right combination of textures too so that you get the full experience and then maybe it should be-” you cut yourself off and look up at the man who’s shifted his weight, leaning against the counter and looking at you with his head cocked to the side. “Sorry, I’m rambling, I went into full baker mode.”
“No, go on, I enjoy hearing you analyze my first dessert experience,” he says, encouraging you to go on by putting his hand on your arm. The little touch makes you tremble slightly and you pray he doesn’t notice through the soft looking leather of his gloves.
“Really?” you ask, “Because I have an idea but I’d have to bake something for you, are you in a hurry?”
“No, I’m waiting for someone and they won’t be here until tomorrow,” he says, dropping his hand from your arm, “What would you make me?”
“Do you mind if I keep it a surprise? Only, I want you to have the best possible first dessert experience”
“I usually don’t like surprises but I’ll make an exception for dessert. And for you,” there’s a small chuckle from behind the helmet and it makes you smile.
“I’m honored,” you say, “come into my kitchen, I think I have what I need for what I was thinking of making.”
You sidestep him, making him turn sideways as you brush past him, and you don’t miss the way his hand comes up to the small of your back as he walks just behind you into the kitchen.
Your kitchen is big enough but the metal clad man takes up a lot of space as you direct him to stand by your workbench. He looks around it as you start going through your stores.
“I’ve never been inside a professional kitchen before,” he says, “I can see that you’re used to a lot of metal.”
You glance around at all the stainless steel counters and shelves that line the walls, stacked high with stainless steel pans, bowls and baking trays, and then the big shiny door that leads into your walk-in fridge before it hits you.
“Did you just make a joke about your armor?” you snort. But the man behind the helmet remains motionless and soundless as the giggle dies in your throat, afraid that you’ve somehow offended him. You look at him, your cheeks heating up, and then he chuckles loudly.
“Yes.”
“Oh fuck off, you’re terrible,” you exhale in relief, but smiling again, “I thought I’d insulted your religion or something.”
“No, jokes are allowed,” he says and you hear the mirth in his voice clearly this time, behind the visor he must be grinning widely.
“No more bad jokes, or you won’t get my dessert,” you give him a mock scolding look but he just tilts his head sideways.
“There’s another joke in that sentence,” he says, still a smile in his voice, “but I don’t want to miss out on your dessert.”
The innuendo is heavy and you have to bite back your grin, there’s no doubting his flirting tone, and instead focus on pulling lemons, sugar and butter from your stores.
“If you say so,” you huff and he chuckles, coming to stand next to you while you start prepping.
“So can you tell me what you’re doing at least?” he asks, picking up one of the lemons and turning over in his hand.
“I’m making you a pie, I already have the dough ready for the crust so I’m just going to roll it out and blind bake it before I make the filling,” you say, bringing out the rolling pin and the slab of pie dough you had in the fridge.
“I’ve never had pie,” he replies, “but I’ve seen them sold.”
“What do you eat?” you ask and you see him shrug, shifting a bit.
“Just…well, mostly freeze dried stuff that I can just add water to when I travel,” he says, “bone broth is nice too.” He shrugs again and you shake your head.
“You need to live a little, try some different food, life’s too short to live on freeze dried camping food and bone broth. Doesn’t your wife cook for you?” The last thing slips out without you thinking, your mouth racing ahead of your mind and you bite your tongue, apologizing again.
“Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to pry, or assume that you’re married, or that a wife should cook. Or that it would be a wife, just ignore me, I’m alone too much in the bakery,” you ramble, trying to catch up with yourself.
Beside you the Mandalorian shifts and stands with his hip leaning against the workbench so that he’s looking directly at you, he’s crossed his arms and cocked his head and it shouldn’t be that sexy, you can’t even see him, but it’s making your heart rate speed up as your cheeks go warm again.
“No, no wife,” he says, his voice somehow even lower than before, “no one to cook for me, and I wouldn’t expect my wife to cook for me either,” he shifts his weight, putting one hand down on the workbench, the other on his hip, “But it would be a wife.”
You refuse to look at him, it won’t give you anything, just that stupid shiny helmet. But you can hear the smirk in his voice, so you just nod your head.
“Good to know,” you press out, very much focused on rolling the dough to a perfect circle which isn’t strictly necessary.
“And you?” his asks, his low baritone vibrating the air around you as he seems to step even closer. His chest plate isn’t touching you but if you turn your head, your breath will fog on it. “Anyone to cook for you at home?”
“Uhm…no,” you stutter, “just me.”
If this was a normal man you’d expect to turn your head now and look at him and he’d ask if he could kiss you, or he’d lean in closer and just do it. But the helmet is in the way, how the hell is he so flirty with that damn helmet? He does know how to kiss, doesn’t he?
“I’m ju-just going to put this in the oven,” you say, trimming the edges of the pie crust, leaving the scraps of dough on the bench.
“Ok,” he says, still with a smile in his voice, watching as you line the pie with a sheet and then baking beads, before sliding it into the oven.
“What’s next, the filling?” he asks and you nod.
“Yeah, I’m going to zest and squeeze these lemons,” you pick up the one he’s left on the bench and show him how you get the zest off into a bowl.
“Have you had lemons before?” you ask and he nods.
“Yes, I think so, or something similar. But it was very sour,” he bends forward and looks closely at the zest you’ve mixed with some sugar. “It smells good though, do you often use them in pies?”
“Yeah, and they’re amazing in anything baked, as long as you have enough sugar.”
“I trust your skills as a baker,” he says and you smile at him.
“Thanks, I think you’ll really like this.”
He stays still a beat as you turn back to the lemons, “I already do,” he says, a whisper, just loud enough to escape the helmet. For a second you’re not sure he meant for you to hear it, and you let your hands continue squeezing the lemons before giving him a quick glance. It tells you nothing, the man might as well be a statue.
You start separating the eggs, letting the egg whites slip through your fingers, holding onto the yolks, until all five are neatly laying on the bottom of your mixing bowl. The silence is stretching between you and the man, still standing still, leaning slightly on the edge of the workbench. You can feel his eyes on you behind the helmet, watching as you stir together the filling, lemon juice, zest, sugar, corn starch, it all comes together.
“Can I ask you something?” You look up at him, slowly stirring the cubes of butter into the lemon mixture. “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to though, it’s kinda personal.”
“Ok,” he says, cocking his head to the left.
“How…h-have…h-ow do you kiss if you can’t take the helmet off?”
He doesn’t move, the blank front of the visor steadily trained on you.
“Nevermind, it was a stupid question, don’t answer that,” you mumble, dropping your gaze back to the filling.
“No, it’s not a stupid question,” he says, and you feel the soft leather of his gloved hand under your chin, tilting it up, back to him. “There are…loopholes…in the creed. I’ve kissed someone, when they couldn’t see my face. But it requires a lot of trust.”
You’re staring at your own reflection in the visor, trying to discern where his eyes are. You wonder if he’s looking at your eyes or your lips, and you wonder what his lips look like.
What they would feel like.
“Does that answer your question?” he asks, that rich, warm baritone, distorted by whatever lets him speak through the helmet, makes your heart flutter, your breath catches in your throat.
“Y-yes…thank you,” you stutter, “yes.”
You bet he’s smiling at you again, as he lets go of your chin and you look back down at the filling.
“I’m going to fill the pie now, and then make the meringue that goes on top.”
“Ok,” he says, “I don’t know what that is but I bet it will be irresistible.”
It makes you smile, at the filling, as it pours, golden and thick, into the pie crust. It settles into a smooth layer, ready for the last step and you place the pie to the side and reach for the egg whites.
“Can I ask you a favor?” you ask and he nods.
“Of course, what is it?”
“The ancient looking mixer, up there, can you reach it?”
He steps behind you, over to the shelf and effortlessly lifts the heavy old Husqvarna machine, it looks almost weightless in his hands. Those hands, inside the soft gloves, are big, almost dwarfing the mixer and the thought crosses your mind, to have those hands on you, wrapped around your waist, or grabbing your thighs, lifting you up as effortlessly as the machine, placing you on the bench, pushing your legs apart and-
He carefully puts it next to you, and moves to stand on your other side. But his hand gently brushes over your back, just a small touch, but it makes you wish it lasted longer, and wasn’t so gentle.
The mixer is loud as you start it, whipping the egg whites into stiff peaks in just a few minutes.
“The trick,” you say, detaching the bowl, “is to whip them until you can hold the bowl upside down over your head and the meringue stays put.” You hold out the bowl to him with a grin, “Do you trust me?”
He chuckles behind the helmet and takes the bowl from your hand, “I guess I do, but you’re polishing the beskar if this falls on me.”
He carefully tips the bowl, holding it over himself, and the meringue stays put, not a drop falls on him and you give him a wide grin.
“I passed the test.”
“You did. Pity, my armor could do with a clean,” he says, his voice serious, but you can hear the smirk in it  this time.
“Cheeky,” you laugh, “clean your own armor, I’m making you pie.”
You grab the bowl from him and start scoping out the thick meringue on top of the filling, creating swirls and peaks with your spoon.  “It just needs to set now,” you say, taking the pie, “Could you open the fridge door, please?”
He takes a few long strides and works the handle, holding it open for you as you go inside and place the pie on a back shelf.
“I have never seen so many cakes before,” he says, coming in behind you, looking at the shelves of cake bottoms that are defrosting in preparation for your weekend orders.
The door behind you slips closed and the fridge is thrown into darkness.
“Oh, I forgot to tell you that the door needs to be wedged open, the light broke in here and I haven’t gotten round to replacing it,” you say, fumbling towards the door with your hand on the shelves, “I’ll get it.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got night vision in my helmet,” he replies matter of factly, and you hear him walk to the door.
“You have night vision in your helmet?” You’re not sure he’s joking or not but judging by how quickly he moves across the small space, he must be seeing something.
“How does the handle work?” he asks as you hear the handle click and catch on something.
“You just pull it against you and it should open,” you say, carefully walking towards the sound of his voice.
“It’s not opening, it sounds as if the handle isn’t latching on correctly”.
“What? No, the door has to open!” You say, panic creeping into your voice, “I can’t…try it again, it has to work!”
You bump into him and his arm comes out around your waist, “Careful, don’t hurt yourself,” he says, his voice suddenly very close to you, steady and soothing, and it calms you down a little.
“Sorry, I’m- I’m not good with small places I can't get out of,” you mumble, holding onto his arm.
“The handle isn’t working, but I promise you, I can very easily get us out of here, don’t be scared.” He must’ve let go of the handle because his other hand comes up to rest on your cheek, the gloved thumb caressing your face with smooth motions. “Don’t be scared, mesh’la,” he says, his voice soft. If you move you think you’ll bump your head against the metal of his helmet, so you close your eyes and focus on his hands. One on your back, the other on your cheek, you take a long steadying breath.
“H-how can you get us out?”
“I have tools for it, in my belt, don’t be scared, I’ll get us out in no time…but…” he trails off, a small hint of uncertainty suddenly in his tone.
“I trust you,” he says, “and I want to kiss you.”
“You’ll take your helmet off?” you ask and in response you hear a low chuckle from inside it.
“Yes, it would be very difficult otherwise.”
“You don’t know that, maybe I’m used to making out with metal,” you say, biting your lip, and you’re rewarded with laughter in the darkness.
“Using my jokes against me, clever,” he smiles as his hands leave you. There’s a click, the soft hiss of air escaping, and you guess his helmet has come off. You feel him bend down, placing it on the ground next to him and standing up again.
“Ca-can you take your gloves off too?” you ask.  “Yes,” comes his voice in the lightless room and it makes you inhale. Unfiltered it’s much richer, warmer, but somehow rougher, slipping around you, making you break out in goosebumps as you shiver, no voice has ever made you shiver before and now you want him to keep talking to you, to feel his voice in all your senses. It makes you lift your hands to find him in the darkness but he finds you first.
The soft sound of leather hitting the floor is the next thing you hear before his warm fingertips brush across your shoulder, finding your neck and trailing up over your chin.
“I’m as blind as you now,” he whispers, leaning closer, “tell me where your lips are.”
“Here,” you whisper in reply, taking his hand and guiding it to your mouth. He traces his thumb over your bottom lip, then the top, and you feel his hot breath skim over your skin.
His lips are soft, gentle, as he presses them against yours, a slight tickle of facial hair before he pulls away a fraction.
“Touch me,” he mumbles, “please,” a pleading tone to his voice.
“Where?” you ask, lifting your hands from your sides and searching for him, finding cold metal and a rough flight suit.
“Everywhere, my face, my hair, please touch me.”
He leans his face into your hand as you find his cheek, your other hand slipping around to the nape of his neck, the longer hair winding around your fingers. It’s messy and curly and so silky to the touch that you hum under your breath.
“You're so soft,” you say and it feels like he shakes his head.
“No, you are, can I kiss you again?” he whispers but you don’t reply, just find his lips with yours and he groans into your open mouth, your tongue coming out to taste his lips as he parts them, and you feel his tongue lick against yours.
His kisses are slow, and you match his pace, moving in the same lazy way as him, his tongue exploring and tasting every part of yours. Soft hands have come up to hold you close to him, his fingers in your hair, not letting you move from where he needs you. And it feels like a need, his soft presses turning needy, a soft moan escaping you as he pulls you closer, your whole body pressed up against his hard metal exterior. The contrast makes you feel disembodied, your legs, stomach, chest resting against cool armor, your face, your hands touching, and being touched by warm skin, soft hair, his demanding tongue growing in confidence by the second as he groans under your touch.
He suddenly takes hold of your waist, moving you without effort, pressing you against the door with his whole, tall frame.
“Your kisses are…” he pants, “please, I don’t want to stop, I…I…can’t.”
He’s mumbling between insistent kisses, his tongue dipping into your mouth, tasting, groaning as he needs more with every second that passes. And you would give it to him, you’re moaning into his mouth, pressing into him as eagerly as he’s pushing you up against the door. If he wants to fuck you on the floor of this fridge, you’d let him. His soft lips, rough hands, his heady groans, and when he finally gives in and grinds his hard cock into your hip, it makes you lose all sense of where you are, who you’re with.
“Mesh’la,” he mutters, another kiss on your lips, “Tell me to stop, mesh’la, I can’t stop on my own.” His tongue slips between your lips again and you thread your fingers through his hair and hold him close, keeping him from pulling back again.
“Don’t stop, keep kissing me,” you gasp, his thigh is between your legs, rubbing firm at your aching core.
He growls, his hand coming down to grab hold of your thigh, lifting it up onto his hip, and the door flies open. With a shriek you feel yourself falling backwards, crashing towards the hard kitchen floor. But his arms catches you, you hear the loud clunk as his metal covered legs and arm hits the surface beneath you, the other arm secure around your waist.  “Don’t open your eyes,” he snaps, panic in his voice, and you squeeze your eyes shut, they almost flew open as he caught you.  “I won’t, they’re closed, they’re closed,” you pant, the air knocked out of you.
“I’m going to put you down and then get my helmet, don’t move until I say so,” he says, still close, gently lowering you down to the floor.
“Ok,” you nod, staying still. But you don’t hear him above you, and his arm is still at your side. When he does move his chest comes flat against your own, his nose brushing over your cheek, bumping into yours, and then his lips are on yours again. Soft, warm, pliant, his beard tickling you, open mouth and gentle tongue, tasting and exploring with a low hum in his chest. When he finally pulls away and pushes himself up, you feel the loss of his lips like an imprint on your own, your fingers come up and trace across them, touching where he just was.
From the fridge you hear the click of his helmet being put in place and then his footsteps come back.
“You can open your eyes again,” he says, “thank you for keeping them closed.”
You blink your eyes open and look up at him, his face again hidden behind the visor, his expression unreadable. But his voice is soft and he holds out his hand to you, his gloves not on yet. You take it and he helps you to your feet, one arm around your waist as you find your balance again. Looking down at the hand holding yours, you trace your fingers along the thin white scars that crisscross the back of his tan skin. His hand is rugged, the pads of his fingertips rough and well used. It’s hard to imagine that these hands could touch you so softly in the dark.
“I…I hope I didn’t ask too much,” he hesitates as you keep touching his hand, holding it between your own, “I never kissed anyone like that before.”
“I liked it,” you mumble, looking up at his visor, his hand still between yours. “I’ve never kissed anyone like that before either. And I don’t even know what your name is.”
“Din,” he says, his voice low, like he’s telling you something guarded, “My name is Din, but I don’t tell many people that.”
“I won’t tell anyone,” you say and he nods, placing his hand on your cheek again.  “Thank you, mesh’la.”
“I’ve never met anyone like you, Din,” you say, trying to find his eyes behind the black visor.
“I don’t think there’s any of my kind on your world,” he says with a small chuckle and you frown.  “What do you mean, ‘your world’?”
He shakes his head, “Don’t think about it, it doesn’t matter, I just want to try your dessert now, like you promised,” his hand slips down to yours and he takes it, tugging you back towards the fridge, “Is it done yet?”
“Uuhm…yeah, I just need to torch the top a bit,” you say, confused, as he opens the fridge door again.
“I’ll hold it open this time,” Din tilts his head down towards you as you pass him, his hand trailing over your hand as you let go of him. The pie jiggles slightly when you tap it, so you pick it up and carefully bring it to the workbench again. Din closes the fridge door behind you and follows you back.
“I’ve never smelt anything like it,” he hums as you reach into your tools and pull out the small blow torch.
“Just wait until you taste it,” you smile, turning on the gas and igniting the torch. Din’s hand flies up to grab at your arm as the flame comes out but stops as he realizes what you’re doing.
“I have one of those too,” he chuckles, “But mine’s a bit bigger.”
“If I’d known, I would’ve used yours,” you grin and he shakes his head.
“It would’ve burnt down your kitchen, it's not really meant for this delicate work,” you can hear the smirk as he leans forward and looks on as you carefully caramelize the top of the meringue, painting the white swirls in toasty brown.
“There, it’s done,” you say as you turn off the blow torch and put it aside, “you’re very first dessert, a lemon meringue pie.”
“I can’t wait to try it,” he replies as you take down two plates, spoons and your sharpest knife.
“How do you want to eat it?” you ask, cutting a generous slice for him, bigger than you would serve to the customers. He looks at the pie for a few seconds and then cocks his head and looks at you.  “I trust you,” he says, the smile in his voice evident under the unreadable helmet, “we can sit back to back and you can at least hear my reaction.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want you to do something you’re not comfortable with,” you hold out the plate to him and he lifts it up to eye level, looking closely at the bright yellow filling and white meringue on top.
“I’m sure, I trust you. And I want you to be happy when you hear my reaction.”
“I hope you like it then,” you laugh, “Or this is going to be very awkward.”
“If it tastes only half as good as it smells, this will be the best thing I’ve ever eaten,” he takes your hand and pulls you down onto the floor, you begin to protest that you have chairs but he just shrugs and sits down, crossing his legs with his back against you. You sink down behind him, crossing your legs too.  “Lean against me, mesh’la,” he says, “and don’t turn around.”
“I won’t, I promise,” you rush out as you hear a soft woosh of air from the helmet.
“I know,” he replies, his voice unfiltered and rich again, a low baritone that seems to send a shiver down your spine. The spoon clinks on his plate and he seems to hesitate.
“I just put my spoon in it?” he asks and it makes you smile.
“Yes, just get some of everything, and tell me what you think.”
You hear the rustle of his flight suit as he seems to move around a little, it’s almost as if he’s trying to figure out how to  tackle the slice on his plate. Eventually you hear the spoon scrap over the plate again as he cuts off a bite.
You listen intently, wishing you could see his expression, as he silently tastes the pie.
“Maker…” he breathes out after a few seconds, the spoon clinking again against the plate and you hear him take another bite.
“Maker….” his mouth full and the word is muffled, “this is…” the spoon scrapes over the plate and you hear him take one more mouthful. His head leans against yours as he tips it back, sighing deeply.
“Maker…I’ve never tasted anything like this before,” he groans, “It’s fresh and rich and sweet, how have I never tasted something like this before?”
“Because you’re a fool, obviously,” you laugh, taking a bite for yourself. You know this pie is good but Din’s reaction makes you feel giddy. Behind you, you hear him take another spoonful, humming as he savors the flavors.
“I am a fool,” he says after swallowing down another bite, “this is like nothing else. I want to eat only this for the rest of my life.”
“That might not be the healthiest choice,” you chuckle, “and wait until you try chocolate, that’s on a whole other level again.”
“Thank you,” he says from behind you, his hand reaching back and finding your arm, “Thank you for making this, I’m grateful.”
“No trouble, I like seeing how much you enjoy it, especially since you’ve never had dessert before, you strange man.”
At that you hear him laugh, “I’m not that strange, just maybe on your world, mesh’la.”
“What does that word mean?” you ask, “Mesh’la?”
“I’ll tell you, if you give me more pie,” his voice is so cheeky it makes you laugh out loud.
“I’ve got you addicted it seems,” you reply and he chuckles behind you, “I’ll keep my eyes closed and you can take as much as you want, take the whole pie.”
“I can’t do that,” he says as you feel him shift behind you, getting to his feet.
“Of course you can, you should take it, I can make another.”
“I would argue with you, but the pie is too good,” he sinks down behind you again and this time you hear his spoon scrape over the metal of the pie form.
“Din?” you ask and he stiffens.
“Yes?”
“Are you eating straight from the form?”
“Is…Is that wrong?”
“No,” you laugh, “just a very good review of my pie.”
He chuckles again, relaxing against your back as he takes another mouthful. Together you sit in silence, eating the pie, cross legged on the floor of your kitchen. Yours is soon gone and you happily listen to your strange guest hum and moan as he all but seems to demolish the rest of the pie. Maybe you should tell him to pace himself, but he seems to be enjoying himself immensely.
After a few more moments the pie form is placed on the floor and Din groans, “I’m so full, but I want to eat more.”
“I should’ve told you to go slow,” you smile, “but just take whatever you didn’t finish with you.”
“Hmm…I…I ate the whole thing,” he says sheepishly and you giggle.
“You might feel a bit sick in a while, but don’t blame me. But I really love how much you loved it.”
“I’ll come back for more pie whenever I can,” he says, finding your arm with his hand again, “Please keep your eyes closed.”
“I’ll make sure to have it on the menu all the time then,” you smile, your eyes squeezed shut.
Behind you, you feel him move and turn, his warm hand coming up to cup your face, a thumb sliding over your cheek. His lips are soft and gentle as he brushes them against yours, his tongue slipping out, your mouth opening. He tastes of sharp lemon, sugar and butter, and underneath, his own self. He lets himself linger for a few moments, his nose stroking over your cheek, before he pulls back, your eyes still firmly closed. The click of his helmet lets you know that he’s once more covered up and you open your eyes, slightly sad that he can’t let you see his face, you’d love to see what those soft lips look like.
“I should go,” he says, a tinge of regret in his voice, “I have other things I need to see to before I leave.” He takes your hands and helps you stand, the remains of the pie forgotten on the floor as you follow him out to the front of the bakery.
“This….was wizard…” he mumbles in a low voice, yet again standing by the door, “I’ve never…experienced something like this.”
“Me either, Din,” you mumble, suddenly very sad that he’s leaving, “Promise that you’ll come back some day.”
“I’ll try, but I can’t promise,” he says, his hand, gloved now, comes up to caress your cheek one last time.
He turns and puts his hand on the handle and something hits you, “Wait, hang on, just wait there.”
You rush back behind the counter and grab one of your bread bags and quickly put four croissants into it.
“Here,” you say, holding it out to him as you get back to the door, “For the road, or whatever you’re doing.”
He takes it, cocking his head to look down at the bag before he looks up at you again, “You’re going to make my armor fit very tight.” “Hey, I didn’t tell you to eat the entire pie in one sitting,” you grin and from behind the helmet comes a low chuckle.
“I still blame you for baking something far too irresistible.”
“Take care, Din, I hope I see you again sometime.”
“Me too, mesh’la,” he says, giving you a nod and opening the front door.

YANDERE ! EREN JAEGER X READER HEADCANNONS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TW/CW: mdni, yandere themes, masturbation.
Have some headcannons while I wait for my henna to dry/watch the first season with my cousin.
I wish there were more who wrote for Canon! Eren. Like don’t get me wrong, Modern AU Eren is hot but I mean, fuckboys can be seen everywhere.
But Canon! Eren is batshit insane and that’s exactly what I love about him. I wish they at least add that to his modern counterpart instead of making him a basic bad boy but I mean if that’s what they’re into 🤷‍♂️
Anyways Exhibit A of why Eren in all eras is my fave AOT character:
Like I said, he’s batshit insane.
He has directly killed 2 people by the age of nine, and assisted in killing the third. Although this is out of self defense it still can’t be denied HOW HE TReateD THE SECOND DUDE HOLY SHIT- THE AMOUNT OF TIMES HE STABBED HIM.
Normal kids would just be terrified, maybe be even fight blinding and/or cry, probably even run tf away. But ya boi brought a knife and even deceived the person at the door.
EXHIBIT B:
He’d be a great yandere.
Let’s say that we age up our cast and make 18 the minimum age of enlistment (making him 21 around the attack of Trost).
Trainee Eren has the will of fucking steel. He’ll do whatever it takes to wipe out titan-kind, to make the cruel world he lived in finally know true peace.
To be with you in that new world he’ll build.
You were one of his fellow trainees. Someone who unconditionally believed and supported his desire to see the outside world. You didn’t treat him like a child as Mikasa did, and you weren’t so oddly distant when it came to his help and presence like Armin.
At first it started as a crush. An infatuation towards your looks and kind demeanor which morphed into a twisted sense of love.
You were the only one that understood him, that resonated with his wavelength.
He definitely frequently masturbated to your image. Stress was a known issue amongst trainees and soldiers alike. Many drank to rid themselves of such a problem. But to him just the thought of you two becoming one gave him relief and pleasure that any form of alcohol could never give. In the aftermath of the Trost incident, when faced with your unconscious, battered body he pulls a Shinji and jerks one off. Covering you with his release.
You think you’ll leave his mind once he gets busy with being a titan-shifter and the future of Eldia and such but nope.
Eren only has you and the new world he promised in his heart, body and soul. And that’ll never change.
EXHIBIT C:
Eren believes in freedom first and foremost.
So none of that kidnapping. At least in earlier years. He just wants you to be happy and safe. He’s more of the type to hurt others for your sake rather than be abusive and take away your rights.
Eren in later seasons has the capacity to keep you isolated, and that he will.
Like in other (unfortunately rare) fics of him, he keeps you in a farm land with a bunch of loyalists. If reader is afab! or has the ability to bear a child (for those with abo ocs or something idk) he’ll tell them that you are bearing his child and the future inheritor of his powers.
Otherwise he’ll come up with other excuses like having you as a tactician or war-hero they have to pay respects to.
He’ll give you as much freedom as he can provide while keeping you away from danger.
Though one might argue that his version of freedom for you is just an illusion.

What each sign teaches us plus some hard truths each might need to ask!
KEEP IN MIND we all have all the signs in our birth chart; whether those houses are “empty” or not, they still have influence. We also all experience transits through all the signs, and we even have progressed charts that account for the archetypes we get more into learning later on. So take WHATEVER resonates for you with any of this!
♈️🐏 Aries teaches us action and that action comes from us with the least resistance when we know and trust who we are as an individual.
Hard truth: Aries, have you been seeing yourself or living your life as though you’re a one-man island? You might think you’re stronger than others for your hyper-independence, but at times the greatest strength for YOU is recognizing and embracing what others have contributed to your life and to who you are. It could also behoove you to think of others or to think more carefully through potential outcomes before you act sometimes.
♉️🐂 Taurus teaches us personal peace by aligning our focus on what we need for material and psychological stability.
Hard truth: Taurus, have your values, personal preferences, or your attachment to possessions become overly rigid? While honoring our values and preferences and ensuring we have the necessary items for material security and comfort are an important part of the process in finding peace, total inflexibility about these things can end up sending you in the opposite direction of peace.
♊️🌬️ Gemini teaches us to gather objective information from the world around us, and how to communicate information.
Hard truth: Gemini, have you been looking down so many avenues of knowledge, that you haven’t allowed yourself the time and sustained focus to sort out your own philosophies, or go more into depth or meaning, around the subjects you’re learning? At times you should also strive to keep better track of what you’re communicating to people, and to focus on understanding the meaning you project with your words, not just the information provided by them.
♋️🦀 Cancer teaches us how to emotionally support ourselves and others (self nurturance is key for support of others to be most functionally helpful)
Hard truth: Cancer, have you become so focused on protecting yourself or others, that you’ve started to see danger where it doesn’t even exist? Careful, paranoia is not a good look for anyone, but especially not you. There’s a reason you have instincts to build walls around you, not unlike a crab retreating into its shell. 🦀 But if this becomes a default action and not just used when it’s actually needed to protect your space or safety, the function of your energy to support and nurture can not be as well realized.
♌️🦁 Leo teaches us confidence in authentic expression of self. Where the first fire sign teaches us confidence in establishing self, the next one teaches us how to implement authentic expression of oneself.
Hard truth: Leo, have you been going out of your way to seek input from others that your self expression is valid? Well cut that out if so, because that would defeat the entire purpose of practicing YOUR expression. YOU decide if it’s valid. I could also advise something like “be less self centered!”… but honestly that’ll just start to happen naturally once you’re actually authentically relying on your own validation only. 🦁
♍️🌾 Virgo teaches us how to take care of things in the practical realm. We wouldn’t have a functioning world around us in this physical plane if it weren’t for Virgoan energy assessing all the details of structures, systems, and routines… makes sense I’ve read from at least one source that Virgo is the most common Sun sign!
Hard truth: Virgo, have you gotten so up in your head, Mercury style, about the details of your routines or the tasks you need to do, that it’s become challenging to actually successfully or efficiently attend to them? When Virgo energy gets dysfunctional like this it could really take a cue from Mars/Aries. “Just do it!” Also, whenever you start to find yourself being especially critical of yourself or others, you could stand to remind yourself of the big picture dynamics, concepts, or goals you have in mind.
♎️⚖️ Libra teaches us interpersonal peace by putting the focus on compromise and balance.
Hard truth: Libra, if you’ve been going out of your way to appease others, you might need to ask yourself if this is because you truly care about what’s best for them, or if it’s a behavior more connected to lack of rootedness in YOURSELF that makes you averse to conflict? It’s important for you to try to get to know and exercise your authentic individuality. The South Node currently in Libra with the North Node in Aries can help anyone who wants to make progress here.
♏️🦂 Scorpio teaches us how to face our shadows and ultimately how to integrate them so that we may transform.
Hard truth: Scorpio, have you been so obsessed on analyzing your past for answers to why you are as you are, that you’ve forgotten to just focus on finding some personal peace in the moment? You could take a cue from your opposite/sister sign Taurus if you find yourself in this position. 🖤 Also, when it comes to your trust issues, two big things will ultimately help: 1.) Build your SELF trust through giving yourself the opportunities to make and carry out your own decisions (Scorpio is Mars too and needs to act!) and 2.) Use/cultivate your deep instincts about people to ensure it’s supportive people you have most around you, while doing whatever you can to keep the toxic ones out.
♐️🏹 Sagittarius teaches us how to form our beliefs and find meaning however it encourages you to expand.
Hard truth: Sagittarius, have you fallen into the trap of thinking the philosophies that give YOUR life meaning are the same beliefs that others need to adopt? WHOA back up there buckaroo! It’d behoove you to remember that Sagittarius is a fire sign, so it deals with some personal aspects of our individuality. Not everyone will find inspiration to expand from the same designations of meaning as you, and you need to learn to not try to push your worldviews on anyone who isn’t receptive.
♑️🐐 Capricorn teaches us how to build structure and commit to a long term goal/vision/plan.
Hard truth: Capricorn, have you become so blinded by your personal standards for quality or by what it is you’re trying to build to be a certain way, that anyone or anything that does not fit neatly into your structure appears as a threat or a reason to give up hope to you? At times you could stand to gain a little more flexibility and optimism. Setbacks do not mean the end, and if you could fast forward over your life you would see this, so if you’re having trouble seeing it now, try to see if you can regain a bit of the hopeful outlook from the sign that came just before you. I promise the capacity is within you. 😉
♒️🏺 Aquarius teaches us the ins and outs of society so that we may reflect on what we as an individual can bring to it or help liberate it.
Hard truth: Aquarius, have you been viewing yourself so much as an outsider, that it’s tempting to see yourself as separate from the rest of society? Well I have a hard truth for you: You’re not separate from it and not above it; no one is. And it’s especially dysfunctional for YOU to see yourself as a distinct and separate entity not influenced by society, or as too different from everyone else to be able to relate to them- society needs your insightful contribution!
♓️🐟 Pisces teaches us empathy and fosters our imagination through the understanding that everything is connected.
Hard truth: Pisces, have you been seeing yourself as the victim? You really need to hear that if you would just cut that out and start seeing yourself instead as an empowered dreamer with strong intuition you can continually cultivate, your ability to manifest* would be arguably the most insane of all the signs. (*Not that I support the idea that everything can be attained through manifestation alone.) Take it from a Pisces rising who learned the hard way and is feeling inspired to expand on this one: victimhood is The most detrimental trap for Pisces. Not only because it keeps your reality feeling like that of a victim, but also because Pisces energy is nearly functionally useless if it’s too self absorbed to ever see or act according to the Piscean message of interconnectedness. Learning the right amount to give compassionately of yourself, with the appropriate boundaries, is a crucial part of the Piscean journey!
Thanks for reading, and happy astrological evolution! 🌻

Hello, pile one! I’m not sure if it’s just my mind, but I keep seeing a lot of colors for this pile, especially primary colors, so it’s possible that you might have this child with an LGBTQ+ person and/or be LGBTQ+ yourself! I also saw a lot of crayons even before shuffling, so I think your kid will definitely be a very artistic type. A lot of messages came through even before I shuffled, so I think this kid is absolutely ecstatic about being a part of your family as your child.
This child is going to be very, very feisty and funny. They might be a bit of a tomboy or just a bit “rough” around the edges, but they’ll be very protective over you and their family as well. You could be a parent twice or more, so I don’t think this will be your only child, but definitely the eldest. Also, if you decide to have any pets at the time, they’ll probably want to do and know everything. Your future child’s asking you not to get frustrated when they ask you a bunch of questions about the world, pile one. They really wanted to get that across before moving on with the other messages, because they might be the type of super sensitive and feisty kid - very in touch with their emotions and they easily get hurt by words, but they have a very big and forgiving nature. Also, they’re asking you not to be overprotective, since they’re your first child, they want you to give them independence and autonomy slowly. Remember what I said about the pet? Yeah, they want to learn how to do things and they’ll watch you a lot in secret. Perhaps you’ll be up one morning and when you’re about to feed the cat, you’ve noticed that your kid’s already pouring the food onto the cat’s bowl. That’s adorable!
Something here tells me they might have fights and I can see a kid pushing another off the playground, but your kid will not start them per se. They seem very short-tempered and I can almost hear a little voice in my head going “they started it!” because your child might be very protective over others, especially animals. Also, right off the bat, they’re apologizing for coloring the walls with crayons? Not sure if that’ll resonate for all of you, but if it does, please come back to let me know!
Also, if your child’s a little boy, your second child will be a little girl or vice versa. I can picture a little boy looking after a little girl in these cards, almost like one of them is playing and the other one’s making sure they don’t stray too far. I can’t say much about the other children, but this child will be your first and I doubt it’ll be the only! They’re so giggly, they might love it when you do a funny face or style their hair in a unique way. Also, this kid might be a bit eccentric like the artist they are - they could draw little monsters everywhere and love playing with makeup or looks regardless of their gender. They’ll brighten up your world and love you unconditionally, pile one. By the way, I had a lot of trouble spelling the words and since I’m channeling your future child’s message, I think they’ll ramble a lot and possibly mix up words at first. They’re really asking me to emphasize how loved you’ll be, in a way you have never ever felt before. This child is also urging me to tell you to take care of yourself physically and emotionally, but they also want you to promise that you’ll stay safe for them. They really love you so much, pile one. If you liked this reading, please consider booking a paid reading or tipping me at @ [email protected]! xo. ♡
additional messages & signs: 333, pluto, leo and aquarius season, august, collecting beach shells, ginger or light blonde hair, freckles, tooth fairy, book quotes, “you can be a fighter”, “tell me everything”, “who did this to you?”, chocolate chip cookies, rainbows, lgbt parade.

Hello, pile two and welcome to your reading! While shuffling, I saw many cards related to Leo and other fire signs, but mostly Leo. I also heard “single parent,” so it’s possible you may raise this child on your own or become a single parent yourself. I love the freshness and boldness of this child. They may be a bit reckless and, well, foolish, since we have The Fool card here! But on a more in-depth interpretation, they seem unafraid and a bit of an airhead as well. They’re a bit brash and blunt with their words - may occasionally embarrass you in public, but all is done in good faith. They’re extremely pure and good-hearted, so it may surprise you that they’ll never grow out of that typical “naiveté” of a child’s, even well into their adult years.
This child may be born during the months of August or October, given the Leo and Libra signs I’ve gotten here. Although naive, they hold a lot of emotional wisdom and depth to them. They may be overlooked during their childhood years at school, perhaps their more extroverted and youthful nature can get them in trouble and make people underestimate or misunderstand them. However, they’re not a natural troublemaker or mischievous by any means. They’re quite witty and may have a knack for sarcasm or wordplay. Also, this kid looks like they’d be easily lost into books and works of fantasy. They have a wild imagination and it’s something they’re asking you to protect and cherish. This pile reminds me a little of pile number one, but with more maturity to them and emotional depth to them.
Despite looking like an airhead, they may actually be quite observant to the things other people don’t pay attention to. They may forget to do homework or the occasional house chores, but this child will be extremely emotionally sensitive - they may be the first to notice when one of their peers isn’t doing well or may use humor to lift other people’s mood, but this child may struggle with insecurity or confidence, deep down. They may feel they need to overperform in order to be cherished and loved, so they’re asking you to use plenty of words of affirmation to remind them how good they already are.
This child may have a bit of a dramatic flair to them as well, but like I mentioned earlier, it’s all in good nature. Do not joke about their feelings, though! Under this whimsical and dramatic nature, they take emotions very seriously. It’s quite an interesting juxtaposition - hence why I also feel that they may be misunderstood or taken for granted by their peers, at times. They may be neurodivergent and so, it’s important you check in on them. If this child is autistic, for example, allow them to take pride in these traits that make them different and unique. Also, you’ll learn a lot about the world through this child’s eyes. They have a very unique way of perceiving things. If you liked this reading, please consider booking a paid reading or tipping me at @ [email protected]! xo. ♡
additional messages & signs: leo or sagittarius, pisces, scorpio, september, october, twitch streamer, video games, “you were born to stand out”, neurodivergent, adhd, autistic, fair, blunt, sensitive, quirky, lego house, marvel movies.

seven of pentacles | knight of swords | eight of pentacles
Hello, pile number three! Welcome to your reading! Honestly, I had a little bit of a tough time shuffling for this pile, just because the messages and the overall feeling of it was so intense. They seem quite introverted and hardworking, like an old soul in a young body. It’s quite different from my previous piles, since this child holds a lot of seriousness and introversion to them, which is not actually a bad thing - they’re devoted to making you a proud parent.
They may tend to take things very seriously and to heart, however. Whatever you say to your child, they’ll take it to heart, so be careful with your words around them - it seems it can go either way. I get a bit of “middle sibling” energy from this, so they may tend to overwork themselves in order to gain people’s approval or excel in their studies to gain a sense of control. It reminds me a bit of Saturn and Capricorn as their overall concepts.
It breaks my heart a little because this child seems quite guarded. They may have a hard time opening up or simply feel that you’re too busy for them. Their main love language seems to be quality time and acts of service, so it’s important you take plenty of interest in their hobbies - no matter how “weird” or “quirky” they may seem to you, this child is very booksmart, even though sometimes they may come off as a “know it all,” they want to become resourceful and helpful, someone that you’re proud of in the long run. Aw, my heart.
Now, they may also be extremely competitive. I think they may partake in several extracurricular activities at school and become some kind of valedictorian during college. They’re reliable, trustworthy and quite solid. Although may be a bit of a wallflower as well, so be mindful when you engage with your kid, since they need their own time and may struggle with placing boundaries. This child is asking you to remind them that you’re the parent - not them, and they don’t need to have it all together. So no matter how many times they struggle with their perfectionism, it’s important you bring them back to their qualities and how worthy they are of everything.
They may also be naturally strict with themselves and have extremely high standards. They may get this from you, as well, if they witness you being harsh on yourself, they may become adept of this behavior since this child idolizes you a lot and may have troubles with their own self-image or self-worth outside of their achievements. Please remind them to have fun, a lot of it! Not everything has to be a task or a side hustle, and this message seems to apply to you as well. They acknowledge you’ve worked hard to build financial stability for them, but remember to bond emotionally with others and not pass these false beliefs onto your loved ones. Honestly, they’re a little bit of a “mini adult”, it reminds me a lot of the child character played by Dakota Fanning in “Uptown Girls,” especially the scenes in which she struggles with vulnerability and receiving affection. This is a very responsible kid, it warms my heart to know how much motivation they’ve got to succeed in life and to make you proud. They adore you so much. If you liked this reading, please consider booking a paid reading or tipping me at @ [email protected]! xo. ♡
additional messages & signs: “why don’t you do something for yourself?”, capricorn, virgo, taurus, horseback riding, harvard, straight A’s, INTJ, ISTJ, good enough by lifehouse, “and now that you don’t have to be perfect, you can be good”, you’re on your own kid by taylor swift, "fear of being average"

Please pick the pile or image you feel the most drawn to
Pile 1
A new sense of self acceptance, inner peace and healing will be coming into your life. Old wounds will be healed and you will soon start a new.
A sense of belonging and harmony with the people around you. Perhaps a celebration or get together will come about that will bring out a sense of fun and togetherness with your friends. Missing puzzle pieces will be found and bring a new sense of peace and purpose. A lot of positive clarity is in store for you pile 1! I think it will bring much relief.
Cooperation and mutual understanding. A positive hand or relationship is going to be formed between you and someone else. It will be mutually beneficial, and may change into something deeper given time. Within whatever framework of your connection this takes resonance with.
A whole lot of positive changes in your social life is an overall theme of your reading!
Another positive development coming your way is better interpersonal skills and boundaries. The wisdom to detect when something isn’t working right in your relationships, and enact change.
Pile 2
Positive movement in your career as a result of your hard earned work. I see the benefits of your strategy and concrete approach to your work coming in at full force. This is a very stable and skilful energy, amidst what might have been a convoluted process or chaotic environment you were in.
Breaking free from self imposed limits or restrictions! You’ve been plagued by a fears of rejection and restrictions within your life and I see this being something that will soon change for the better, or at the very least ease up a bit. Chin up pile 2, you’ve got a lot to show for yourself already! The proof is in the pudding.
A definitive end to a chaotic situation. A new rebirth of opportunities in its place. An upgrade or new position being offered to you.
Freedom and self expression. A new time for taking up the hobbies you had been hoping to enjoy is coming! Perhaps in relation to the sea or the earth, beaches, lakes, nature etc (that may be more of a specific message for some).
Reconnecting with your roots, the basis of what makes you tick and the soul of the artistic process. Big grounded earthy energy here.
Time away from working. I think you’ll feel some great relief after it all. Perhaps a holiday or weekend away? Whatever it is I feel a definite sense of calm and tranquility after a period of stress. Warm sun and cool water breezes.
Pile 3
Some good luck is coming in rapidly pile 3!
A fresh start is coming to clear your energy of all perceived obstacles/barriers. Whatever manifestations you have been working on are coming into fruition. Whatever it is you have projected for yourself is weaving its way into your life with essence.

This is something that’ll be clearing up for you soon! A solid path/foundation is forming. ‘Within you is all you need to know’ Greater inner wisdom is coming your way.
You may be receiving guidance from someone trusted and seeing fruitful results. Recommendations and connections are being made, your many skills are being appreciated.
A new opportunity is on the horizon in line with your passions and guidance. It’ll seem too good to be true at the time, but trust in your gut that jumping in on it will be fruitful.
Successful manifestation is bringing about lucky bridges of events and clearing all old baggage leftover from your life.
Your reading has a very peaceful determinism to it pile 3, I feel optimistic and happy for whatever it is you have guided into your life!
Pile 4
Opportunity where you least expect it. A perceived dead end may reveal something surprising to you.
Whatever dead end you were in is opening up rapidly, be it creatively or financially. Your strength is being lifted. Relief that you won’t have to stick it all out alone.
A change of heart. You may be gaining the assistance of someone trusted who has seen your struggles and is opening up for you to take their hand.
You’ll feel inspired to take on a new project, I see you being free from the things that have held you down with them in the past. You’ve learned and grown, and this time I see a positive result at the end of it, a complete product that will stand for what you’ve always hoped it could. Satisfaction and pride. Sticking it out till you get the results you wanted.
You’ll sleep easy soon pile 4. Peaceful slumber and clarity will be restored. A light yet deep sigh of relief will reach you soon.
Traveling to somewhere new. Fresh air and perspectives. Time in the sun. A renewed sense of vitality and livelihood. Inspiration feeding your inner creator.

Night life. Shining your light. Unique perspectives. Lunar and Solar energies. Better balance within your life/daily routine.

Note
What song are you fixated on at the moment? - A Nonsense Christmas by Sabrina Carpenter, it fits the season, its playful, and I love all the innuendos in it
What is your Enneagram type? - 4/4w3
Do you love gargantuan Youtube video essays? - I prefer mid-size ones like an hour or less and usually about true crime, natural disasters, climbing/diving expeditions gone wrong, etc.
Tell me about your childhood imaginary friend. - I never had an imaginary friend but I was big on playing pretend especially around like the Warrior Cats books or pretending to have powers.
What is your go-to way to fall asleep? - Noise cancelling headphones, sleeping mask, ASMR, but I play game playthroughs on my TV.
If you had to change your name, what would it be, and why? - I've changed my name before and the two names I go by currently are tied to characters that really resonate with me and that I feel a connection to.
What is your favorite of Redacted’s audios, and why? - David's Hoodie Audio, it was the first one I ever heard and I latched onto the character and the audio kind of aggressively. That audio has gotten me through a lot this year.
What Redacted boy holds no appeal to you, and why? - Ollie! I love him, don't get me wrong, but for me something about him is kind of boring and I don't find myself going back to his audios at all.
Tell me about that one book/movie/tv show you know all the words to. - The Twilight movies as cringe as that is. They came out during a really shitty time in my life and they became a comfort, I've seen all of them more times than I can count.
Which Redacted boy are you platonically attracted to? - Honestly, Damien. I relate to his story in a lot of ways and just generally as a character plus he's so ride or die I feel like he'd be a great friend and wouldn't be hard to relate to.
Do you have a go-to thing you ramble about when you’re tired, and if so, what is it? - Usually random TikTok drama that I've come across and/or random political things going on currently.
Tell me your go-to gas station and drink combo. - 7/11 Slurpees (Coke and Cherry mix) and Munchos (best potato chips ever)
Tell me about your favorite playlist at the moment. - I have an everything type playlist with all the music I like and it's the one I've been cycling through the most. It's fun to hear how all my odd tastes come together in one playlist.
What’s your guilty pleasure media, and why? - Currently? Boyfriend ASMR I suppose. It's really hard to explain to other people what this thing is without sounding at least a little odd - (I had to explain it to a new therapist and could not figure out how to do it without sounding a little insane.)
And whatever else you think tells me about who you are! - My favorite color is pink, my favorite sweet food is chocolate, I use emoticons a lot :3c and I love my friends above all, they've gotten me through a lot and I really value community.
Tumblr media
The Enthusiast is an interesting, difficult to match type because I could pair you so compatibly with so many people. Ultimately, it was vibes and the color pink that led me to pair you with Gavin.
Enthusiasts are characterized as creative, outgoing, and unique, the kind of person you don’t forget. I love the idea of pairing Gavin with someone like that because that’s kind of how he is too; he’s best with someone that has the same star power, the same je ne sais quoi to stand out next to him. Not just that but I love that y’all are very interpersonal people with friends being so important to you both; that’ll be perfect considering how the DAMN group are not just his friends but his family.
Y’all would honestly be such an it couple around Dahlia maybe with some cute matching outfits, some pink statement pieces that you and Gavin swap because he’d be a fashionista and a thief that way. When you’re not found at the 7/11 with your respective Big Gulps and Slurpees, you’re chilling at home, giving Gavin a pop culture education because if he hasn’t seen Jumanji, we can’t be sure he’s seen Twilight, and you’d have to fix that.
Song:
Yes, I'm young for a teacher, I'll teach you what you don't know/ (I could teach you the things that you wanna know)/ But I can't give it up all at once, you would overdose/ Don't you bring any bull in the room tonight/ It's a whole new rodeo/ It could be you and me/ But you know that I'll steal the show, oh (yeah)
One, it makes sense for me to give you a Sabrina Carpenter song in return, so that’s fun. Two, I love this song in particular because I could storyboard a whole movie scene set to it of you and Gavin in a Dahlia club, dancing, outdoing one another, just killing it with the romantic and sexual tension of the song like it’s a duet. I have a vision, okay?
Runner-Ups:
Asher was a really close runner-up for you because community and pack are so important to him too as Shaw Beta, so you would have been a good mate for him. Vincent is a runner-up not just because it’s fun to pair Twilight lovers with vampires but because he also finds so much cheesy comfort in those movies; he loves them.
note: whoever this is for and you know who you are let’s pretend this is the first and only time I posted this ask hahaahhaahaaaa I’m sorry bless you
Read this post and send me an ask if you’d like a match-up of your own! 💌

Message from La Santisima Muerte 💀
Our beautiful mother of holy death has a message for her children whether you’re a devotee to her or not. You could be hearing and seeing the words “mother of Earth” lately a lot or Mother Gaia. It’s giving me Empress energy, many of you, male or female, are actively standing in your power, you’re about to birth beauty and love into your world. Some of you could actually be pregnant (don’t have to be) but it is also giving Queen of pentacles energy. Many of you are entering a world of abundance you’re about birth so much in your life but you’re also being given the opportunity to walk away from a present conflict that you’re dealing with at this time. All of the hard work you put into yourself and the world around you, you’re about to be blessed with so much more than what you’ve been giving. Knowledge is power, right now is the perfect time for you to expand yourself in ways like never before. You already have what you’re looking, the key and knowledge is within you and not only that, it’s time to start applying all of the lessons that you’ve learned in your recent past, you’re a highly intuitive being and it’s time for the real you to emerge. Pink, butterflies, pink flowers, deer/stag and stars are you confirmation. La Santa Muerte, is wanting for you to thrive, she knows that you’re more than capable trust in whatever may be happening around you as it is happening for you not to you. It’s time to make space for new and this is going to require that extra little step from. I see you’re facing a lot of obstacles, challenges and conflicting situations right now especially externally. If the outside world is too much to take, you’re required to go within, if they’re people who are making you feel this way, you’re needing to sit aside, go within. Some of you could be needing or wanting a space or this is what you’re currently seeking. It’s okay if you’re wanting to be alone and away from the world especially if it’s going to help with your mental health. I feel like she’s beside you, giving you that push that you’re needing to keep going, to never give up and most importantly for you to follow your desires. The solar plexus is significant. Don’t allow external validation to corrupt you either, if someone is negative… whether it’s how they think, what they say, etc. you’re needing to protect yourself and your energy. You’re the only one who knows what’s best for you so don’t outsiders tell you what’s good for you and YOU should or shouldn’t do, they lived their lives already and now it’s time to live yours. I’m hearing “you’re living proof”. Odd numbers could be significant too. Odd numbers, according to Google, is a sign of good fortune, I’m hearing “lucky numbers” you could be seeing synchronicities of odd numbers like 13 and this is your confirmation that good luck is on your side and that you’re needing to trust it. You’re going to be enlightened with some sort of truth/knowledge as well. Someone could be sending you the evil eye too… you’re needing to protect yourself or find ways that’ll help you to do it but I also feel like she’s protecting you as well, the number 5 is significant or something about a 5 pointed star… a pentagram. You could be seeing pentagrams a lot and do keep in mind that pentagrams are also used for protection so you could be wearing a necklace or you’re needing to get one. But the pentagram is your confirmation that your abundance is protected and safe and so are you. It’s time to take the lead and take charge with authority, a lot of you are coming into balance with your divine feminine and masculine energy! The color green and red apples are your confirmation as well. You’re about to take lead in some aspect of your life, you’re no longing sitting in the back, you’re being placed in the front! Some of you are teachers or are being called to become a spiritual teacher to others… like how Jesus was a teacher. Take care of your own needs, don’t worry about other people especially if these people don’t have the best intentions for you. Star anise is very significant.

From Beyond (1986)
Tumblr media
From Beyond is a backup/substitute movie. In tone, it’s similar to Re-Animator. The nauseating special effects will remind you of The Thing. The mix of bizarre eroticism and horror is akin to that of Hellraiser. There are many others you can compare it to but you get the idea. The thing is, you would never recommend this 1986 film by Stuart Gordon over any of those but if you’ve seen them so many times you’ve memorized all the best parts and you want something like them but not them, this is the movie for you.
Dr. Edward Pretorious (Ted Sorel) has developed the Resonator, a machine that allows humans to see the unseen creatures that live inside our space but outside of our realm. Unfortunately, the machine also allows them to see us. Pretorious is attacked and killed by a creature from this realm and his assistant, Dr. Crawford Tillinghast (Jeffrey Combs) is accused of his murder. His claims of invisible monsters make everyone think he’s crazy, except for Dr. Katherine McMichaels (Barbara Crampton) isn’t so sure.
The best thing about “From Beyond” is that it knows exactly what sort of movie it is. Writer/director Stuart Gordon (who wrote the screenplay with Brian Yuzna and Dennis Paoli) has no delusions about who is watching and what they want to see. He knows this isn’t some deep tale about the human condition. This is a sleazy, campy horror comedy. It grosses you out. It loses its mind. It doesn’t quite hold up logistically. None of that matters. There’s a lot of gore, plenty of nudity and kink, tasteless depictions of mental health, outlandish characters, and it’s all the better for it. Science runs amok, Eyeballs get sucked out of people’s heads, brains enlarge until they crack through skulls, and you get all sorts of phallic and uncomfortable-looking beasts sliming all over Barbara Crampton. From Beyond knows that you could probably tell this story with a straight face but that it would be all too easy to try, fail, and become the subject of ridicule. Instead, it beats the audience to the punch by making fun of itself - which is not the same as attempting to make a movie that’s “so bad it’s good” on purpose.
The most memorable aspect of this film are the terrific special effects. The primary monster goes through all sorts of transformations/shapes and it’s made extra discomfiting by this running theme of a quasi-masochistic obsession that develops in anyone exposed to the Resonator. It’s funny, and a bit unsettling too despite never being adequately explored. It feels like there’s a scene with Pretorious missing, the one extra point needed to make this more than a weird addition. There's the beginning of an idea present. What kind of horror might emerge from someone who can only get it up by inflicting pain, or from an overly stimulated part of the brain that draws us to danger even though logic says we should stay away?
The performances aren’t bad, but they’re not great either. It would’ve been nice if they were just the teensiest bit better. The story would’ve benefited either from holding onto its mystery for longer or finding a way to avoid the machine being turned on and off over and over. I don’t know if we necessarily need a remake, however. As-is, From Beyond looks great and you just know a new adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft story just wouldn’t be the same in terms of tone or humor. What we need are other movies influenced by this one, or that push some aspects of it a little further. Thankfully, there are plenty.
It’s difficult to imagine someone calling From Beyond their favorite movie. Not because of the uncomfortable horror elements (I’m pretty sure one of the genre’s objectives is to make you uneasy). Because it doesn't do anything better than everybody else. This doesn’t mean it’s bad. It means this is a film that’s comfortable with holding onto its silver medal. There’s nothing wrong with that. One thing’s for sure; it’s memorable and has a certain undiscernable quality that’ll get you coming back to it. (March 4, 2022)

A good idea is simple, straightforward, and straight to the point. ~ Chip Heath, Dan Heath
“An idea that will catch the minds and eyes of the public is one based on the “inverted pyramid” style — this refers to placing the juiciest part of the idea at the forefront and the extra details later. This positioning ensures that people grab the essential parts even though they miss out on the follow-up.”
“The problem then boils down to how we can nurture ideas that’ll succeed in the world. Communicating ideas effectively is a challenge with many people, making it difficult for them to get their ideas across, and make a difference. A good illustration of this challenge is a chemistry teacher explaining the basics of chemical reactions for an hour, and a week later, just three kids in the class recall what the concept is about. Another, a manager gives a presentation which explains the several benefits of a new strategy to be implemented by the organization. The staffers nod their heads enthusiastically, only for the manager to find some of them mechanically implementing the old one on the very next day.
You can equally become an effective communicator; keep going through this piece till you’ve mopped up the last insight.”
If you wish to get your message across without laboring it with lengthy explanations, a proverb is just what you need. ~ Chip Heath, Dan Heath
Be careful not to douse your message with so much surprise, it’s either cliché or pointless. ~ Chip Heath, Dan Heath
“People want to know what they don’t already know; the human mind is designed to fill gaps in knowledge. You must first create these gaps and have the correct information to fill them in handy. Your message must be so well framed that the listener waits on the edge of their seat for the next word until it ends.”
People want to know, so giving them something that sticks long enough is up to you. ~ Chip Heath, Dan Heath
“Ideas can be catchy and draw as much attention as possible when you keep it simple and throw something unexpected that both feeds and draws curiosity from your listeners. However, there is a chance that with so many tools employed, you can risk being abstract and vague. Sometimes, we try to get a message across to a particular group, and sadly, the message is either too simple or too unexpectedly surprising that it doesn’t hold enough resonance with them.”
To make our communications more effective, we need to shift our thinking from ‘What information do I need to convey?’ to ‘What questions do I want my audience to ask?’ ~ Chip Heath
“Concrete ideas are simple. They don’t use up too many language points; instead, they use a general language that any listener, regardless of their race or background, will be able to understand without too much trouble.
It might all sound too much of a task to translate a vast subject into a compact, concrete, “layman” version for your listeners. However, the author suggests that if you have trouble making your idea concrete, you should try going backward instead — think of the customers, consumers, and users, what language will appeal to them the most?”
“Credibility is garnered in various ways or by various means, but first, it is essential to know why we find specific stories credible and others not. We associate truth with authority; if someone we trust or look up to tells a story, we immediately agree on their version of the tale without any question. So the first element of credibility is external authority to back up the story.”
An ad to stop people from driving at night might not get enough attention, but an awareness of the dangers lurking on the road will make them apprehensive of night travel, and thus adhere to the directive. ~ Chip Heath, Dan Heath
“Vivid details aid proper understanding of a credible and concrete message, but they are just fancy words repeated without hard facts. These stats help put things in perspective; for example, if listeners were told that swimming in the ocean is less likely to lead to death than driving at night, people would argue that sharks kill surfers every day. While this would be false, it would catch on quickly, and that’s why you need to add statistics. Likewise, telling listeners that a deer crossing the road is 300 times more likely to kill you than a shark in open water will suddenly make them shift ground and take your message thoughtfully, and that’s the power of hard facts in gaining credibility.”
“For your story to make people care, it needs to evoke a response on an emotional level. First, you need to appeal to their hearts and not their minds since the mind is more analytical and will be less likely to give in to “tear jerkers.” Second, your message should not drag in any need for analysis. For example, if you want to solicit support for homeless children, don’t start your message by stating the staggering number of children homeless daily but instead make it about one child being homeless.”
“Stories aren’t always easy to create, so instead of creating one, you can try to seek out one. A good story or one with potential will have either creativity, connection, challenging, or all three.
The clever plot readies our minds to think, and creates an eagerness to act. It causes us to think; the present good story will usher in freedom or drive to think, not just vaguely, but about concrete solutions. It gives us a chance to experience a mental breakthrough.
However, the connection plot involves people who form relationships and, with this relationship, transcend their limitations and achieve more than they would on their own. It causes us to yearn for a connection with the people around us in hopes of defeating a problem that’s beyond us.
With the challenging plot, the audience is met with a story that pits two opponents against each other, but one would be the underdog and the other a sure thing. The story highlights how the underdog, the protagonist, strives and defeats this insurmountable challenge and comes out on top.
So, it can be safe to say that a good story should challenge our minds to think, inspire us to seek connections, and motivate us to take on whatever challenge we currently face. The only drawback is making sure it isn’t so well worded that it becomes too complex to be understood.”
Stories are a sticky tool for passing across an idea because they are concrete, credible, evoke emotions, and are, well…a story. ~ Chip Heath, Dan Heath
“Daily, we are faced with the burning question; How do I make people listen to my idea? And without the proper guidance, a lot of ideas will never be heard, mainly because they lack simplicity, unexpectedness, concreteness, credibility, emotion, and a compelling story. The goal is to tell your story and share your idea without the core intention of getting lost amidst the fanciful setup. Your idea is one tweak away from being sticky.
One of the several methods of achieving effective communication, as discussed in summary, is aids. Some tools aid the dissemination of ideas such that it is more straightforward but retains its core. Thus, you can avoid burdening an idea with excess details; you should seek out the core of the idea.”
“Another tool is giving them more facts than they can wrap their heads around. You’d expect that more knowledge would reduce curiosity, but it increases it, and this gives you a chance to expose them to new experiences and information. As long as there are new things left to learn, a curious mind will desire it.”
“However, a final tool that is effective is letting the listener prove it for himself.
Also, your message must possess such conciseness and directness that its message isn’t misconstrued, a sense of history to help people relate to it, and a sense of wonder to cause them to keep asking, “what’s next, what’s left?”
Try this
When next you have an idea you want to execute, ask yourself if it will pass the “Made to Stick” test. Here’s a good example:
Spend ten to fifteen seconds, no more, studying the letters below.
J FKFB INAT OUP SNA SAI RS
After the period of studying the letters, try recalling as many letters as possible, in their order of appearance.
Try the test on multiple occasions, and you’re more likely to recall more letters afterwards.
Now, try again with the following string of letters.
JFK FBI NATO UPS NASA IRS
Go figure!”

The art of self expression and setting up boundaries
This week has been kinda jam packed with the Resonance Music Festival in Moyo and the music box gyroid event going on at the camp. I was hyped to see Dello and Donna along with the rest of the Clanwings along with Ying, Hua, and Xiang. Ocean Winds, Ying, and Hua were some of the many talented performers featured at the festival.
It seems fitting that music box gyroids are out while there’s a big music festival going on. As usual, Daisy Jane and Isabelle have a bunch of designs waiting to be crafted with the gyroids. Originally it was just the Clanwings who were gonna drop by so it was a nice surprise to see Ying, Hua, and Xiang. I didn’t expect all of them to be acquainted with each other but it makes sense that Ying and Ocean Winds are in similar circles in terms of their music.
The situation with the Clanwing patriarch as quieted down somewhat, as in he does his own thing while they do theirs. Donna hopes for a reconciliation someday but obviously that’ll take a lot of work, especially if the other side still refuses to cooperate. Dello’s less optimistic for understandable reasons but he too wants to work things out with him. After all, Kent did raise them and despite his numerous missteps he was like a second father to them so it’s not as easy as completely cutting off a toxic person - if anything, that should be an absolutely last resort. All in all, it’s a complicated situation so it’s best to take things slowly.
In a way, it was because of Kent’s overbearingness that Dello and Donna was able to break free from him. Again, despite his flaws, he did bring out some of the best - and the worst - traits that make them stick out and define them as Clanwings. Though they have never been actively discouraged from pursuing music, Dello and Donna kinda got the implication that they ought to be achieving something bigger. It also didn’t help that Kent has a tendency to pressure the family to not only follow in his footsteps but to also leave behind an even bigger legacy.
While there’s nothing wrong with having big ambitions, I don’t think it should be something everyone has to aim for. Your worth shouldn’t be measured by your success like how much money you made or how big of an impact you leave on society. As I’ve slowly learned over the years, there’s nothing wrong with living a small existence, to live just for yourself and for those around you. Not everyone is able to accomplish grand things, and there are some who aren’t interested in such dreams. So why should we be constantly pressured to pursue higher stakes in order to climb to the top? Not having big ambitions doesn’t make you lazy or anything, not should it be something that makes you looked down upon. As hard as it is to let go of that mindset, it really is freeing when you realize that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with living life on your own terms.
Dello, Donna, and the rest of the family have come a long way since leaving the mansion and I’m happy for them. Ocean Winds has been taking off and providing them with so many opportunities they never would’ve had if they hadn’t taken that necessary leap. But as expected, there has been some detractors who take issue with the new direction Dello and Donna have been taking, most unfortunately seem to be making criticisms for the sake of being petty.
One thing the twins didn’t expect though was that their story inspired some other people stuck in similar situations to break free too. Ying is actually one of them. Although she has been an established musician for a couple years, it wasn’t until earlier this year when her music finally started taking off that she felt it was time to make some big changes in her life.
For context, Ying comes from a strictly traditional Asian family, so while most of them mean well, they place a lot of high expectations on her. She had gone to college under the expectation that she’d eventually go to either law school or medical school. Ultimately she didn’t choose either but she did major in health science in hopes of getting a job somewhere in healthcare. Spoiler alert, that didn’t happen either despite getting a degree in that area. Though she was considered a good student, her heart just wasn’t set out for academics.
For as long as she can remember, Ying was interested in music. Unfortunately her parents and relatives would often discourage her, saying that it’ll get her nowhere and that she’d be better off with something more practical. Still, that didn’t stop her from being a self taught musician in secret, much to their dismay. And then in high school and college her life changed when she discovered the rock and roll scene. From there, she says, the rest is history.
Now that Ying has made a name for herself in the music scene, her family’s got a split opinion on her success. In other words, mostly her extended family are praising her publicly while criticizing her in private. It’s not just about her music though, there’s other things involved.
Moving to the city was a big move that Ying never thought would stir up so much discourse in her family. Before she had been living with her parents, so even though she’s an adult, she had to abide by their strict rules. And once she got her own place - which meant she was able to support herself financially since living in the city’s expensive - she also came across two revelations that also caused quite a stir. First was coming out as bisexual and going public with her relationship with Hua. Second was being diagnosed with ADHD, something she had suspected for years but didn’t have the means to get check out until she was a safe distance from her family.
As much as she loves and respects her family, they don’t always see eye to eye on her on a lot of things. Since moving out, Ying says she’s learned a lot about setting up boundaries and refusing to let those close to her overstep them. Dello and Donna have said the same. Yeah it sucks that those who have good intentions refuse to understand that your needs are a lot different than theirs and that no amount of convincing or guilt tripping will magically make us like them.
Even now, there’s still some who are trying to convince that the happiness she’s experiencing right now is a lie. One relative in particular is the kind of person who’s basically like I am always right and anyone who disagrees is wrong, so no matter how many lies he spreads, no one believes him because of his bad rep, especially the family. Most of them however, including Ying’s parents, are the type who act all proud and take credit when someone praises Ying’s success and complain about it in private. Though it sounds disheartening to hear, Ying says she’s used to it as they’ve always been like that, putting up a certain image to look good and then talking behind other people’s backs. Fortunately for her, she always knows the right things to say so they won’t get on her case and nobody gets hurt - Xiang and Hua have seen her in action which is why she’s considered the mediator when discourse breaks out.
At this point, Ying says her relatives can talk shit about her behind her back all they want. Their words stopped bothering her a long time ago so the fact that they still get on her case is pretty sad. However she draws the line at how they talk about her friends because not only that’s going too far, but they have nothing to do with whatever the problem is.
I honestly don’t understand people like that. They see someone living life on their own terms despite being told that they’re wrong and instead of accepting that, they lash out. They’re the kind of people who try to convince you that you’re wrong and everyone is lying to you because there’s no way you can be happy living life that way. It’s exhausting trying to convince them otherwise, especially if they’re so set on the idea that you have to live a certain way and that going against that is wrong or immoral or something.
For most, Ying, Hua, and Xiang being close friends seems kinda odd considering their wildly different backgrounds. Hua grew up in a family of opera performers so they take the art very seriously. Like Ying, she grew up under a lot of pressure due to high expectations, but at least it’s over something she’s passionate about. Unlike most of the elders in the opera troupe, Hua says her parents have always given her the freedom to do what she wants with her art. Though opera was kinda her family’s thing, she said she never felt that it was forced on her, which she’s grateful for. In fact, if it weren’t for her parents, the elders would’ve stopped her from being friends with Xiang and Ying - the former because she’s considered a commoner, the latter because they didn’t think rock and roll was an art form.
While opera continues to be Hua’s passion, she finds certain aspects of her life to be stifling. So that’s why she became friends with people like Ying, Xiang, Chongyun, Lan, and even Tao. The elders may be stiff as fuck but she does highly respect them as she wouldn’t be where she is today without them. And they’re all not that bad once you get to know them, she says, especially now that some of them have come around since she and Ying came out about their relationship.
To think that people like Dello, Donna, and Ying wouldn’t be where they are today if they hadn’t chosen to pursue their passions. It’s not just about them being artists, but also about them learning how to be themselves, their true selves. It never ceases to amaze me just how much the message of Shine Within You truly resonates with people, myself included. That’s the song Dello says marked the start if Ocean Winds. The message is more than just be yourself, it’s also about accepting yourself, flaws and all, and not giving into that pressure that forces you to be someone you’re not despite what other people might think.
it was great seeing all of them perform! Seeing Hua live was a totally different experience compared to the clips I saw online. even though it was on a much smaller scale than an actual production, Hua did a fantastic job. Seeing Ying live was another great experience, it’s no wonder why fans keep rocking out to her performances. She definitely has this bright energy that makes you feel invigorated. And Ocean Winds rocked the stage, appearing even more confident than when I last saw them, showing how much they’ve grown and improved with their live performances.
After having a fun and busy time at the festival, there’s nothing like a casual gyroid event to wind down. The kids have been having a blast hiking and finding gyroids in unexpected places. Xiang, Hua, and Ying have also been foraging for berries and herbs. Out of the three, Xiang’s been here at the camp enough times that she has most of the area memorized so she’s pretty much the expert here.
Hua and Ying said they find the change in scenery inspiring enough for them to create some new music. They’ve been hoping to make a collaboration album together but they either don’t have the time or inspiration. At least until now, it seems. I’ve been watching them working on new songs and it sounds like they’re making good progress. Every so often they’d ask us for some feedback or suggestions, mostly to look for inspiration. They really do make a good duo so I hope something comes out of this.
Xiang, as usual, has been cooking up a storm. She mentioned that Connie and Pai should be in Adrikha by now, which means more recipe inspo for her. I recalled that Connie was supposed to be headed for Adrikha much earlier but something came up so they were forced to postpone. Apparently Mei and Akira personally investigated the problem so it’s been suspected that someone is trying to prevent Connie from progressing on their journey, which isn’t a surprise to them. Given Connie’s status, it’s pretty much inevitable that they’d come across obstacles like this and make enemies who’d try to stop them. At least now Connie can finally go to Adrikha and hopefully find some answers there.
Though the festival’s over, the campsite’s been lively with music. From Hua’s lovely singing to Ying’s guitar strumming to Dello and Donna working on new tunes on the keyboard, it’s kinda like a chill encore performance.

Oh sorry about that. Can I ask about D? How affectionate we will be with each other or our relationship in general. Thank you-Ruby
Queen of Wands, Page of Cups, final card – 4 of Cups, Bottom of the deck – 5 of Wands Rx
QoW as the very first card suggests a very strong attraction towards each other from both of you. This card is encouraging you to trust your instincts and be assertive and make the first move if you want to coz this guy is as attracted to you as you are to him. Be confident. It also says that both of you will be honest and open with each other, and this honesty and frankness will draw you closer together. QoW is also a very sensual character, so this can be a time of greater intimacy between both of you. You and your partner will feel more loved by each other than at any time before. Followed by PoC which indicates that there is a naivety, an innocence in this relationship. Perhaps, this is a first relationship for both of you. There’s also an element of surprise with this card so maybe if you approach this person, you might be surprised to find that he likes you back just as much as you like him! Both QoW and PoC says that if you have a secret crush on someone special, you need to let them know you are interested. If you want to turn your crush into something more, you need to take a chance. Coz QoW indicates taking charge of a situation and PoC means that this person loves you. However, this person may have immature ways of approaching love, and they might become infatuated with anyone who offers them attention. So, while you’re lucky that your partner loves you, your relationship might not be a mature one.
This brings us to our final outcome card 4oC which indicates that while both of you will enjoy this relationship and will be equally invested and affectionate towards each other, but in the long run, sort of an apathy might set in. Honestly that kinda happens in almost all young relationships, so nothing to worry here. Maybe once you guys have spent considerable time with each other in this relationship, you guys might feel that you should explore some time with other people as well just coz you are young, you know? 4oC is not a bad card, there’s no ill omen or maliciousness associated with this card, so that’s good, it just indicates boredom. Of course, that boredom can be cured by trying out various fun activities together and spending quality time with each other to keep the spark alive. Or simply by taking a break. Whatever would suit both of you. The basis of this reading is 5oW Rx which is your current state. If you are single, this card can indicate that your love life is lacking passion or spark at the moment. You may find that you’ve gone from having many potential suitors to having none as things have fizzled out or you find yourself feeling shy or intimidated by the dating world. This card says don’t be afraid, get out there and meet new people. What have you got to lose? That’ll be all for this reading. Hope it’ll be of some help to you. Don’t forget to leave feedback if it resonated with you. Wishing you the very best!

The again of this bag can additionally be lots of benefits. The chain could be long or quick, and it might be slanted on one shoulder and handcuffs. In short, you'll find a way to take it with you when you go out to eat, and you are not afraid of it. Meet the “that girl” fragrance of TikTok that’s extensively popular for its contemporary and clear scent. If you need one fragrance that’s best for a morning and noon refresh, it’s this one. Trust me, it’s considered one of my most-used bottles on my nightstand. As one of the most cherished fragrances , Gucci’s Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum is a scent for lovers of all issues fruity floral. While all of their releases within the final 18 months have explored completely different elements of the perfume family—from fruity to floral—Mumbai Noise is equal elements heat, woody, and gourmand in the best way. I gravitate toward winter scents all yr round—warm, spicy, sweet, leathery notes are those that resonate most with me. That's why as quickly as the weather begins to chill down, I have a blast reaching for scents to keep me warm. I'll be the first to say we should not speak about fragrances like they're seasonal. You ought to put on whatever scent you want it does not matter what season it is, of course. Like ingesting milk tea with your moist hair wrapped up in a towel. It smells like a Siamese cat laying on an angora sweater. I don't believe in seasonality in relation to fragrance, but this is a summery perfume that can smell simply pretty a lot as good within the dead of winter. People love Kim Kardashian's fragrances, and there's a good purpose why. Plain and simple, her shit is sweet, and there's always something for everyone. Vanilla Diorama is a vanilla scent accomplished so nicely. I truly have heard that Rockstud Spike has plenty of colors in the nation have been out of inventory, and I found in Paris, the store has been very incomplete shade, black all brief. Like this can go to the store to try, which size or colour essentially the most suitable for their own. Profile simple, shiny texture, practical low-key. Lady wardrobe is all the time missing that a duplicate bag tote, nothing more than that is the case. It feels like I'm within the film FernGully, or on the planet Pandora from Avatar. wikipedia handbags My popular culture references may be subpar, however this perfume is prime tier. Coffee is a criminally underused observe in fragrance, for my part. I love each scent based round coffee, and this one could be my favourite. It doesn’t smell literally like coffee, nevertheless it doesn’t make it a secret, both. However, it doesn’t wear overly heavy, as the name might lead you to consider. Let’s reduce to the chase — whenever you see Prada for $75, you run. The Luna Rossa Ocean is a balanced blend of woodsy and citrus that any guy in your record will love. And, it consists of the much-loved vetiver scent that’s in style in most candles. A concoction that’ll have you ever dreaming of summer time, Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue perfume is inspired by the sun-drenched Sicilian mandarin , encapsulated by freshness and makes a fantastic less-than-$100 present. If we examine the edges of those pumps we'll discover how the authentic heel is taller than the one proven on the underside picture; Because of this cause the original bridge of the pumps has a bigger curve. Platinum-finish studs are one of the most essential particulars in these pumps as they make sneakers look very fancy. Great evaluation, it is so thorough and I'm glad you included the much cheaper VASHOP to compare! I love Kaitlyn Pan, the SW Highland boot dupes are incredible. Annie's 6.5cm Rockstuds still look good, however should you do not feel assured buying from Annie, I would recommend asking a Taobao agent like Alice or Superbuy to purchase the 6.5cm Rockstuds from Taobao I beneficial right here. BzzAgent is one other one of those firms that can send you free products from manufacturers in the mail primarily based in your profile. Mumbai Noise is incredibly wealthy, heat, and has a lot of weight to it. It's perfect for the colder months, exactly what I reach for when I need to feel heat in and out. https://phoenet.tw/valentino-replica.html Don’t allow the mess to stress you out and lower your quality of life. \”The only means was by saturating the world where he was.\”It triggered him to go to a secure home in Los Mochis. He knew that was going to make him vulnerable, but he had no choice.\”Every cellphone name or textual content, each movement within the area was analyzed, the ex official stated, including Guzman\u0027s Oct. Everyone wanted to tell his story, however he mentioned he would solely work with the Mexican actress, who the ex official called \”Mexico\u0027s Sharon Stone.\”\”The film was secondary. Sole is darker and has a little pink color bleeding from the edge. Includes some beveling as within the authentic, however not very a lot. The Valentino stamp is far shallower, and the dimensions stamp signifies Chinese sizing somewhat than EU sizing . You’ll most likely want to put non-slip soles on these guys. Annie’s upper is more versatile and KP’s have slightly more padding, however both are fairly comfy.

Hi um I was just wondering how are all of the winx's personalities in your au and how many students can alfea take
Alfea can take 200 students total! If there are special cases some arrangements can potentially be made but 200 is the standard for maximum students enrolled.
Alrighty! Personality time! This is also going to include some tidbits about how some of the Winx interact with each other too.
Bloom: very much similar to the show for the first 3 seasons
She’s got a bit more of a temper though in my thing and has issues with feeling like she needs to jump in and stand up for someone or something if she feels it’s being attacked unjustly. That being said she’ll freak out a little bit about jumping in like that later when she’s had time to sit and digest the situation.
She is WAY more insecure though in my thing. In the show as she learned more about her past she seemed to generally become more sure of herself in some areas. In my thing the more she learns the more unqualified to fulfill her role as a fairy and the more she develops a “I can take anything no matter how much it hurts if it means it’s for the good of the magical realm” idea. In her mind her being a bit of a punching bag is the least she can do for the sake of the realm because it’s all she really can promise she can do. A bit of a martyr complex.
In her first year of Alfea when her powers get taken, she does have a moment of “this is what having The Dragon Flame means. This is my responsibility now.” And that does help her pull back some of The Dragon Flame from The Trix as well as engage her magical core to unleash some of what was still housed in her. However, as she comes to learn, a large part of that ability did come from Daphne’s spirit and what she had left of her bond to The Flame (it was the closest she had been to it in a long time, it still recognized and resonated with her) that allowed for that kind of power. In Bloom’s mind this just means she really is so inept with it that the person who doesn’t even hold The Flame anymore is leagues ahead of anything she can produce and that’ll do a number on her (it is kind of true too. That isn’t a bad thing or her fault though. She’s had conscious access to magic for less than a year with no specialized training like what can you expect really). She will get more sure of herself as time goes on with her magic and her relationships with her friends will help with her self worth too. She will still have some issues with self worth in th birth family department for a while though, which I touch upon some in this post.
All in all she’s still feisty and prone to getting too heated in the moment and then really anxious and flustered about it later. She means well and is extremely loyal to her friends though. She also takes on more than she can handle because she feels like she has to or else all the death and sacrifices everyone has made for her safety and The Flame meant nothing.
Stella: a neurodivergent mood
She’s a bit spastic and has a tendency to bounce all over the place and we love her for that. I have really intense adhd and ocd so I related a lot to her actions and mannerisms in the series and Projected lol.
She loves to have a good time and doesn’t really think of the consequences of her actions a lot of the times. Very much doesn’t understand the concept of “waiting makes the heart grow fonder.” Instant gratification is her kryptonite. She has a rough time with impulse control and would much rather prefer to do what makes her happy and feel good instead of what might be the better choice.
That being said she does still care immensely about things that are important to her and does want to be more attentive to some of the things she knows she should, but just has a hard time getting herself to actually do it. Example: she is proud to be the crown princess to Solaria. She wants to become the best leader she can be for her people when her time to take the throne comes. But the stuff she needs to do for that (i.e. all the studying) is a daunting task to her and she has a tendency to get overwhelmed and go “if I just don’t think about it, it’s like it’s not there” and then gets super anxious about it later when she isn’t doing anything and it pops into her brain. It also doesn’t help that she is pretty good at casually picking up on a lot of stuff and being adequate at things without trying. She can speak a decent amount of languages conversationally from growing up hearing them in court and knows a lot of phrases from other languages. She’s naturally very outgoing and charismatic so court proceedings and conversations tend to go her way. She doesn’t actually know the details for a lot of stuff though unless she finds it interesting to her, and it’s the extra step of dedication that’s needed and she has trouble taking that step a lot of the times.
Thank goodness her friends are there to help her out and get her to take things in bite sized pieces.
Speaking of friends, she is the ULTIMATE hype friend. She’s a real ride or die. She knows soooo many people and has a lot of acquaintances , but she doesn’t actually have that many friends. She’s very choosy on she spends her precious time with, and once she’s decided you’re her friend she goes all in. Need some clothes? Boom. Royal credit card and access to her whole wardrobe. Offhandedly mentioned something you like? A whole care package themed around it. Someone was mean to you? Stella has some choice words for them and will be angry on your behalf. You aren’t feeling great about yourself right now? That’s too bad! Stella is going to love you enough for the both of y’all and remind you all day about what a star you are and how amazing of an individual you are and how lucky everyone who knows you is.
She has a lot of self confidence too. She thinks she’s pretty great and she knows she’s beautiful, and she really is, but she can get a bit too cocky at times and can end up in some sticky situations because of it. Her friends help keep her grounded though and Musa is definitely not shy about telling her when her head gets too big. They’re the most prone to clashing out of the winx members, but they still love each other and Stella really does appreciate Musa always being willing to tell it like it is. Stella has a tendency to do that too, but she’s usually more melodramatic about stuff whereas Musa is more realistic and that helps balance her out some.
She does have some days though where the pressure of always being in the spotlight (even though she does love it) can get to her. She’ll have really cloudy days where she’s overly critical about everything she does and can’t get out of that dark headspace and all sorts of insecurities will bubble up. What if she lets everyone down? What if she’ll never be able to be a good leader? She is a lazy and entitled princess after all. She’s too selfish. Her parents would surely be disappointed if they saw how she was putting off her studies. She’s just too dumb to get it and that’s why she’s having trouble paying attention. Etc.
That’s when her friends pop in though and hype her up the best they can to remind her of just how great she is and how untrue those thoughts are. She does have some issues but who doesn’t? That’s why everyone should work everyday to try and get better and also work to appreciate and acknowledge the great stuff about themselves too. They remind her she needs to practice what she preaches.
Flora: sweet sunshine hippie scientist
She loves to try and see the best in people and like to believe there’s a potential for good in everyone. That being said, if you push her too much, you’re dead to her. She just won’t really interact anymore. She doesn’t like conflict so her way of dealing with someone laying down the straw that breaks the camels back is to just stop talking.
She’s constantly thinking of new ideas too. Ever the nature lover and a huge humanitarian, her dream is to find new ways for beings and nature to coexist and help support each other in a lovely symbiotic harmony.
Remember how in the first season she had all that lab equipment and was doing all sorts of experiments? We’re keeping that for the whole series in my thing.
She and Tecna have later night brain storms that result in Bloom or Musa crashing in the others room depending on where they decided to set up shop.
They both come from relatively isolated planets with a unique culture and climate that lead to their people and the other beings on the planet having to work with their environment in a very specific way that involves great respect and reverence for it. That being said, their types of magic are very much opposed to each other, but that just means it’s a new challenge for them to figure out and they hope to figure out a way to merge them into a new thing that can help broaden their horizons and maybe introduce some new abilities for the people on their planets.
Flora is very soft spoken and prone to not giving her opinions on too many things, even though she tends to have lots of thoughts on things.
A good example of this is group mission plans. She’s actually a pretty skilled strategist. She’s big on stepping back from a situation and accessing things from every angle she can think of before making a decision. This means she’s typically slow to take action but once she does, she’s confident in her choice. Musa notices this and once it’s mentioned the rest of The Winx do more to try and encourage her to share her thoughts and feelings on things and she appreciates it. Chatta helps with that too.
She is very much the mom friend and loves to offer soft support and a listening ear. She may not always have advice, but she’s always happy to listen and let others know she’s there for them and supports them.
That being said, she does have a tendency to just let things boil up and come out all at once. With random people or acquaintances, like mentioned earlier, she’ll just stop talking to them. With her close friends though, if she gets really fed up with something and has been for a while, it’s all or nothing she will Snap. It’ll still be said in a quieter voice than most people but she will definitely let you know she’s sick of it.
She needs to work on letting people know when she has an issue before it festers and explodes.
Musa: angsty little bundle of stifled emotions
Very much a tell it like it is person. She would say she’s a realist but honestly she’s more of a pessimist. Shes not keen on getting close to many people so once you’re considered a friend, you’re also family. She’s fiercely loyal to them and is always ready to fight for them. She and Stella are the ultimate protectors of their friends.
She has a very low tolerance for what she considers to be bullshit and is very ready to voice that. She and Stella clash the most out of everyone in the group because Stella has a tendency for melodrama and is more likely to make a mountain out of a molehill. That being said, Musa is also pretty good at keeping Stella grounded as a result (as mentioned in the section about Stella). She still loves her immensely but sometimes she needs to just leave the room and leave it to the others to handle it lol.
That actually leads into another aspect of her personality: her tendency to self isolate. If things get to be too much for her she has a habit of distancing herself from others and just stewing in her emotions. While she stews she’ll play instruments or compose pieces and sometimes dances to get it out of her system (she utilizes this one more when Aisha is also feeling some type of way too. They like to dance and do aerobics together). She’s more prone to hanging on to anger than other emotions though and along with those other methods to help her process it, she’s found that journaling some can help too thanks to Tune’s suggestion.
She has some pretty intense insecurities with abandonment issues starting out in season 1 of my thing and it gets better as time goes on and she comes to learn just how much the other Winx have her back. She doesn’t have the best self worth too as a result of the way things kind of fell apart in her childhood when her mom died. Her relationship with her dad soured and she felt like she couldn’t please him or make him happy and she took that very personally, especially since he was all she really had left in terms of family. Music was everything to her and her dad couldn’t stand it anymore and on top of that, she reminded him so much of her mom. It was just messy and Unfortunate. She loved her dad so much and with him closing off and discouraging her love and passion for music, she didn’t feel like she meant much or could do much to the person she loved most at that time, and that did a number on her.
She’s more prone to reckless abandon and self sacrifice in battle, kind of like Bloom, due to these issues. Also more willing to let people she cares about treat her badly if she thinks it’ll mean they’ll stick around for longer (that being said if someone treats one of her friends poorly, it’s over for them. She needs a big lesson in practicing what she preaches). Thankfully she gets better with putting her foot down on being treated better as time goes on. Her relationship with her dad also starts to get better after the concert in her second year of college (I really liked that episode it’s staying lol).
Tecna: a true realist and levelheaded (until they’re not) support pillar
Tecna, like Musa, would describe themself as a realist. Unlike Musa though, they actually are one. Strategic, intelligent, and very unsure of themself in a lot of social situations. They actually have a lot of similarities with Stella. They both like to have certain routines and they have certain ways of doing things, but Stella is much more of a people person and an extrovert whereas Tecna prefers alone time and often skips social gatherings. Their time at Alfea was the most social they’ve ever been in their whole life and it’ll probably stay that way honestly. They love their friends very much, but they need a Break sometimes and the other Winx get that completely.
They’re someone who appreciates preparation. They like getting a feel for things before diving in. Once they figure out the basics though, they’re good to go.
They’re closest to Flora out of all the winx because of their science buddy research sessions and similar cultural aspects in approach to their relation to their planet that are mentioned above in Flora’s section.
They have issues with spontaneity and have trouble following thought processes or decisions that they deem to be illogical or nonsensical. They very much have their own idea of what things work best and if the can’t follow what someone else is doing or if it doesn’t match they think would work best, there’s a bit of hill for them to get over. Relating to other people and understanding them is harder for Tecna to do and it can be really frustrating for them, but they’re trying their best and doing what they can to try and learn and that’s what matters the most. Their friends appreciate that and let them know it too.
Their mind is aalways going a mile a minute, filled with different ideas or questions and it’s not uncommon for them to get too wrapped up in their own head and space out to an extent. Muttering and mumbling during note taking and planning is a common occurrence.
One of their biggest issues is that they have all these thoughts and ideas, but they don’t think it’s worth it to talk about them or voice them. They aren’t used to having other people around that want their input on things because they aren’t used to being in situations that involve other people. Their parents were supportive of their endeavors with research and loved when Tecna talked to them about it, but Tecna also was much more comfortable with them because well, they’re their parents. Tecna was never much of one for socialization.
Now they suddenly have these friends around them and they end up in situations where all of them have to work together or plan stuff out and they aren’t used to it and don’t know how to give any feedback. They’re usually content enough to just sit back and let the others plan it and if it doesn’t make sense to them then that’s mildly annoying but hey what can ya do? Insert Digit going “talk to them, that’s what you can do.”
Musa has trouble opening up to people because she fears being hurt, Tecna has trouble with it because they just aren’t used to it. They can relate and talk some about that shared difficulty though and it helps both of them.
All of that being said, much like everyone else, Tecna loves the other Winx members very much and is beyond relieved that they ended up with such great dorm mates (they were worried about living with other people in a shared space for the first time that weren’t family members) that ended up becoming great lifelong friends.
Aisha: knows herself and is proud of it
Aisha in my thing is very similar to how she is in the show. She grew up alone for the most apart, not interacting much with other people that weren’t part of her court or staff regularly. That alone time though made her very introspective and very sure of who she is as an individual. Now, how sure she is of herself in relation to other people, that’s a whole different question.
She had some people she could call acquaintances or “friends” that she would run into more regularly at ambassadorial meetings or parties (think of it as a work friend. Y’all hang out at work and have a good time but you’re stuck there together and don’t really hang out or talk much outside of it). Anne was her first proper friend, and had a big impact on her life (was also her first kiss and first big crush). Her having to never see her again due to her parents deciding she needed stricter supervision to focus on her studies was very harmful to her in the socialization department. She made sure her parents knew she was angry and hurt but that didn’t make them ease up.
That being said they would apologize years later once their relationship got better and they were able to speak more openly with each other.
Aisha grew up with very rigid rules and expectations, and this meant that the moment she was allowed out of the castle for the day she would go all out. She was always very energetic and her love of physical activity was present from a young age.
Her parents were supportive of this as long as she was able to be refined and subdued in court, and she was able to be what they would call a prim and proper lady for as long as was needed for meetings and gatherings, so they thought it was only fair she be allowed to go hog wild when duties were done and attended to.
She loves dance, swimming, and rock climbing the most and comes up with routines regularly with Musa once she joins the others at Alfea.
She has a hard time making friends with everyone at first due to her being unsure how to go about making friends like them. They love her from the start and accept her right away, but she’s wary. She’s never had actual friends where you can be casual around them and not have to worry about appearances and court standards (outside of Anne, which, as mentioned above, ended poorly because of her parents stepping in and really damaged her ability to be view friendships outside of the surface level interactions and friendliness that comes with court life. The pixies were there too, but that also wasn’t the same). She has to learn to accept how they feel about her and to stop overthinking it. They say they care about her? Ok, that means they care about her. And no one is going to make them leave. She knows they’re all too stubborn for that.
Aisha is also big on the belief that people should say what they mean and that being able to put your foot down in important. Court is exhausting for her. There’s too many pleasantries and superfluous things that have ti be done before getting to the point. After growing up with it her whole life she’s sick of it. She does great in court because she knows the game but it’s one she hates to play, so when she’s not having to partake in it she prefers to toss it all out the window.
She knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like (like I said, lots of introspection and time to figure herself out due to the more isolated court lifestyle she had) and she will let you know. You don’t ever have to guess if you said something that she liked or didn’t like because what you hear is what you get. Much like Musa, she prefers to tell it like it is. Unlike Musa though, she does have more tact and grace.
