I like how in this era of excellent queer TV to replace the SuperWhoLock era, each light hearted comedy show of the trio has a dark queer mirror. Black Sails is to Our Flag Means Death, as Interview With The Vampire is to What We Do In The Shadows, just as The Sandman is to Good Omens.

I do find it odd how in each pairing its the supposed light hearted comedy show that has emotionally devastated its audience so far though...

Merlin's magic isn't a thing or a weapon.

It's part of Merlin, living and breathing and loving, just as Merlin himself does.

The magic figured out their feelings long before the man, not held back by societal hierarchies and fears. So, long before Merlin ever admitted his feelings to himself, every time they were in close proximity, his magic was straining and eager to try to get to the object of their affection.

Every day Merlin felt like he was holding back an overexcited cat that kept trying to wriggle from his grasp to wind around Arthur and stay there, in his warmth, forever.

Every smile and wayward glace left Merlin's magic ruffled and excited, doing happy little zooms inside him.

When Merlin did finally recognize his own feelings, his magic only got more excited. It took everything the poor man had in him to hold it back.

When the two finally kissed, Merlin couldn't contain it anymore. His magic surged out in a warm pulse and golden glow, wanting to kiss Arthur as well.

If Jared/Jensen actually made that Amazon exclusivity claim, one or both of those really does seem like the reason.

I could see Jensen thinking he’s too cool for a family show like Walker, or his pride not letting him essentially take an acting job from Jared. Or, he can’t adjust to an at atmosphere where people actually treat Jared with respect. Or, he actually is, or was supposed to be busy working on something right now.

Or, the producers besides (including Jared or not) don’t actually want Jensen on the show for any number of reasons from his rep or to the unprofessionalism of being sued for safety issues on TW, Jared has decided to stick with not having his name tied to Jensen's professionally all the time, Jensen didn’t actually fit in all that well on Walker, or they really just didn’t have a part that fits him right now.

It’s funny how it feels like there has to be a concrete reason for Jensen not to be on Walker, like it needs to be justified to fans, when the reality is actually that their are two different actors, with two different careers, and it’s actually totally normal not to be on the same show.

Then again, Jared and Jensen have bath made noise in the past about Jensen potentially being on the show, so I get people asking.

I truly do wonder how Jensen fit in with the Walker Crew when he directed.

Exactly! Like, I get it if J2 give exclusivity as an excuse in a M&G and fans want to believe that. You don't want to know you're favs are fibbing in order to look good, but that's what happens in the Hollywood press machine. Little white lies are the norm (like WB letting CMP go 'amicably' instead of saying they were dropped for producing a failed product and generating a lawsuit, or the reboot is definitely happening... oh, but wait, it hasn't actually been pitched).

I completely agree that J2 should be separating themselves and their careers from each other. It's one thing to have Jensen show up to direct a single episode, it's another to cast him in a multi-episode role and end up having Jared's project be all about Jensen (which happened when Jensen directed). They've both got at least another good 20-40 years of acting in them, which is far longer than SPN ever lasted. It simply makes sense for them to work apart.

so i think lil blue creature Kelek comes from a line of Creatures that are just silly little comfort/lazy spirits. One common association with them is a worker sleeping on the rocks. This comes from their ability to knead their magic into objects; back in the day it wasn't uncommon for those to be rocks. And how tempting is an impossibly soft pillow-like rock when its a hot summer day?

for now Im just calling them Comfort Creatures bc of the joke with creature comforts.
