So about that necklace...
It's a jawbone. Specifically from a wolf. That's established. It's literally Solas wearing a sign around his neck that says 'Hello My Name Is Fen'Harel'.
Here's the thing. The color is dark brown, almost black.
Bones are not that color. Not regular bones anyway. But do you know what is that color?
Fossils. Like these Dire Wolf fossils here:
That thing is a fossil. I just think that's an interesting detail.

did u know that in spanish solas is a conjugation of the verb. being alone
I'm not surprised to find out, and it's pretty fitting.
I honestly can't believe it's a coincidence the word 'solas' was chosen for his name when it means so many things in different languages, all of which perfectly describe the character. And one of which even hints at a theory of mine...
In a few languages it means alone.
In Icelandic it means sun.
In Irish it has several meanings—light, enlightenment/revelation, vision, and curiously enough self-interest.
It can even be interpreted to reference the five solas of the Protestant Reformation.
And of course it’s the Elven word for pride. There’s a lot of angles you could approach the meaning and they’re all pretty valid takes on the character.

Tea Leaves and Sweet Dreams
(m!Lavellan/Solas)
There are four things Kieran knows about Solas:
(1) He’s Professor Flemeth’s infamously irritable and reclusive TA, and tears his essays to shreds
(2) He’s Kieran’s new labmate in one of the most difficult academic programs in Ferelden, under the supervision of one of the most mysterious professors alive
(3) Solas hates point (2)
(4) Solas hates tea
When Solas makes his distain for Kieran clear, Kieran decides to fight fire with tea. Will Solas survive this tea war? Will Kieran find the one tea Solas can tolerate? Is there more brewing beneath the surface that neither of them want to confront?
(The answer is yes.)
