stumbling into the joy that are zukka canon divergence tropes. zukka in ba sing se where sokka discovers the jasmine dragon and is like zuko tea server??? sokka having a crush on the blue spirit and all the subsequent identity shenanigans. my old favorite zukka boiling rock fics where they get together while breaking out of a high security prison. not to mention zuko dies in the north pole and then is bound to sokka as a ghost (cough cough boomerangs and rainbows by mindbending favorite zukka fic ever go read it)! zuko joining the order of the white lotus early on and all the fun stuff that come with that. zukka canon divergence fics my beloved

the whole "cats choose their owners" thing is really funny to me because ivy very much did NOT choose me. she was a slightly dim-witted and very rambunctious feral kitten, and that combination led to her getting herself stuck inside an old chipmunk nest halfway down the steep bank of the creek by my parents' house. from there she proceeded to scream her head off until both my mom and i came out to see what on earth was making all that racket, then we excavated her out of that hole like a sad little potato. she was grateful for the rescue, but definitely NOT grateful for the ensuing flea baths and conversion to indoor cat life at my apartment, which she reminds me of regularly. ivy i'm sorry for saving you from an early death due to predation/disease/cars, but can you stop biting me every day of my life please

Been seeing posts around proposing Satine and Bo-Katan Kryze as respectively the Star Wars Elsa and Anna...
...given obvious visual and probably other parallels. And I do see what they see, this is the way. But just immediately hilarious to me on another level as Anna endgames with a more working-class dude with 'zero social skills', who starts off as not exactly her favourite person in the universe or at that to be stuck with. And whose dearest companion is assuredly non-human because humans are overrated as at least half the song goes (facts though, Kristoff -- where is the lie). Perfection.

Lmao I can imagine an MC who's more comfy with their dragon features being a bit of a menace, curling their tail around their RO's leg or waist when they're standing close, maybe using their wing to pull them in if they're in human form and/or small enough. Plus it's sweet if it turns out they're not initially doing it consciously, just the dragon side of them wanting to keep their person near them. (Mainly Reese in mind because I think he'd initially hate it, but alas.)
😭awww omg totally
Skye does this a lot already so having an MC who finally can be comfortable enough to show this type of vulnerability around the crew? It means the world to them. The annoyance would kick in later depending on frequency lol but all RO’s really love this, whether it be in admiration of their form and confidence that comes from it, or just the familiarity and comfort of touch from a loved one ❤️
It also is a perfect set up for plenty of funny scenarios hehe the crew is not safe from an affectionate shifter light-hearted groaning ensues

I've never actually worked with a corporate office pick me before, so whenever my dad complained about some small comment a girl at his old location had made, I didn't really get why it got under his skin so much. Now, after enduring 5-6 months of relentless high pitched squealing and "no you"s and backhanded, misogynistic compliments, I understand. Any sane human being with half a brain cell would be irritated. And while I can abide being told I'm high maintenance because I insist on showering before work, and I can even stand idly by while she denounces all women who like wearing makeup, I draw the line at calling me a child for wearing a ken-rgy hoodie before I've had so much as a sniff of my morning tea. If you're going to say ridiculous things for the nearest man's approval, there should be a rule in place that you save it until after your closest woman-target has had a crumb of caffeine enter their bloodstream. It's just manners.
