For him there's noting cuter then sneaking up on you and surprising you by leaning over and planting a kiss there, making you squeak in surprise

He will never get tired of your adorable pout when you turn around and pretend to be mad about it

Only for you to jump into his arms and pamper his whole face with kisses

You like starting with his nose, which sometimes scrunches up in a cute way

NETEYAM

Neteyam always goes for the back of your neck, often adding a playful bite to it

Loves making you shiver, it's even better if you're cuddling, you're in his arms and he just goes for it

No matter if there's something in the way or not he will find a way to kiss you

Sometimes he will kiss you like that when you're just waking up, his lips feeling lazy and practically dragging across your skin

Regardless of what's waiting for you that day Neteyam's kisses are the best way to be woken up and you will stand by that always

LO'AK

He is very partial to your fingers, kissing them one by one, then repeating the process all over again

It might be because he himself has more then the rest of Na'vi so he picked up the habit because you'd always do that to him when you first started dating

Will bite you too, that is if you don't do it to him first, if you do you will see him get flustered for a split second before making a speedy recovery and paying you back

He is very slow with his kisses, carefully savoring each one

You will let your fingers linger on his lips for a few moments longer then necessary when you notice that he feels touch starved

TSU'TEY

Tsu'tey is obsessed with leaving as many marks as he can on your thighs

Not even in lewd way, he just loves how soft they feel under his lips

When you let him lay his head on your lap at some point he will turn around and start kissing your thighs, chuckling as you try to shimmy away

You can't just leave after tempting him with such a treat, he has to have his daily quota of kissing you

Will use his tail to keep you still if he needs to

QUARITCH

You can't cover up the bite marks on your neck faster then Quaritch can make them

Maybe the scientists messed up and made him part bloodsucker because he loves your neck, when ever you're in his lap his lips eventually travel towards it

He bites, hard, but he always kisses over the marks as a way of apology, a little redundant because he will do it again minutes later

Smiles smugly whenever you walk around wearing something around your neck

He loves trailing his lips or thumb over the fresh kiss marks

AONUNG

Aonung is secretly a huge romantic and always kisses your hand

He's very charming in that way, he will almost never break eye contact with you while he's planting the kiss, always wanting to catch your reaction, the way you bite your lip, the way you dreamily smile at him

When you're sharing a bed he likes to face you, take your hand between you two, in his bigger one and kiss it from knuckle to the tip of your fingers

Melts if you do the same to him and you can often see and hear his tail thumping when you do

Always kisses your hand for good luck before the two of go swimming and diving together

TONOWARI

He really likes kissing your shoulders

Tonowari will roll out of bed in the morning, walk up to you, wrap his arms around you and kiss his good morning wishes against both your shoulders

He often purrs when you're in bed and he rests his forehead against them, especially if he can still see the fresh bite marks across them

Is often pretty gentle with his kisses and touches, only getting rougher on your demand

Never shy to kiss you in a crowd, you can always expect at least one press of his mouth against your shoulder as you both take your respective seats when talking to everyone

As a fanfic writer, what advice would you give too someone that's just starting?

I'm going to separate this into two different advices, because I'm not sure if you wanna hear something general or more specific, and as someone who studied fan fiction in University + has been writing fanfics for +15years, I would have tons to say if I don't restrict myself 🤔

1. Know what you want to write

If you're like me and have a thousand ideas a minute and lots and lots of motivation until you're a few chapters in, having an outline really, really is the best!

For example, as yourself a few questions:

Will this be a one shot? Multichapter series? A series of one shots? This will allow you to wither condense/fill your writing to focus on what you want!

What kind of narrator do you need? You can find many, many lists on internet about narrative voices, their cons/pros, and how they affect your story. Sometimes, writer block happens because you HAVE a story, but you're looking to tell it from the wrong POV

What would that character actually do if put in this situation? Quite often you want to write fanfictions to fullfil a need to see a certain trope/situation/what if, and then found yourself in a pitch mid-chapter because?? Something feels off?? And in the case of fanfiction, it could be because there is a problem of balance between what you want to see the character do versus how they would react in canon. This is a REALLY tricky one, because you have to adapt your writing/the dynamics/tropes you may usually rely on so that it can fit the character you're writing instead.

Okay that was for the specific-ish answer on writing!

Now, here is the more general, but best advice I could think of when it comes to writing fan fiction:

H A V E F U N ━!!

Does it sound obvious and silly? Yes ― and?

Fan fiction comes from a place of love for a piece of media. It can be a reaction going along with or against canon, but in both case, it is the love and deep entertainment you've experienced that makes you want to keep it going.

You start writing a story to have fun with it ― for some it means giving their favorite characters more sfreentime, others will want to shower them in love and fluff, and wuite a number of us make their life even worse to put them through hell before giving them a meaningful, happy ending (or not).

Plus, you are never alone. From the moment you thing of creating fan content, you become a beacon to the rest of your fan community. We're all in this together, even if we disagree on ships or characterization or plot points ― you're never alone. You will find people experiencing the same brainrot as you do. They will find you and want to share headcanons with you as well. You will both encourage each other to keep loving the media you're connected by, whether you decide to create or not, whether you're satisfied with the quality of your craft.

The point is: this isn't a chore.

This isn't homework. This is soemthing you yearn for ao bad you decide that you will try your best to bring it to life yourself if you have to.

Which means that it's okay to give up too.

It's okay if this isn't the best work of the century, or even oje of your best works! You're free to write the cringiest shit, just like you have full reign to take ten years to write a fic so meaningful, so well told, that it ought to be studied in class like any other work of art that is oraised by classicists.

I wish we got more lowkey content, you know? In canon and in the fandom. Just real, "guys being dudes" type of shit. I think the reason I love writing banter and silly little headcanons for them is because that kind of levity really got lost along the way in the show. But I would love to just see slice of life MC style.

Juice and Happy getting sent to shop in bulk for a lockdown. Juice has no idea how much of anything it will take and tries to overshop, and Happy tries to buy too little and it's just them arguing the entire time. Meanwhile Tig is already at the checkout line with three shopping carts filled with shit that literally no one needs.

T-M shenanigans. In my own silly little sandbox, Jax is the worst mechanic out of all of them. 😂 The idea of Chibs just consistently walking by after Jax walks away from a car/truck/bike that he's working on and tinkering with it to fix whatever Jax was messing up fills my little heart with glee. (Also we deserved to see those boys all sweaty and grimy after a day of work in the shop and no one can tell me that I'm wrong)

The house-sitting/pet-sitting rotation in the club based on who is on a run and who isn't. You know that not all of these men are cut out to have the responsibility of taking care of pets. Do they all bring their pets to one person's house? Or is one poor sucker stuck driving from house to house to house making sure that everything is alright? Both scenarios are equally entertaining and chaotic, and only gets better depending on who gets left in charge.

For a town where so many people all grew up together, I really wish there were more instances of people bringing up shit that happened in like middle school or high school or whatever. Because, yeah, everyone grows up and moves on but you don't just forget about those high school rivalries and the embarrassing things your rival did. I want to know what stupid shit these boys did and who caught them. The idea of Hale and Jax throwing little digs at each other during interrogations over stuff that happened when they were freshmen in high school?? That's top-tier shit that I would love to know all about.

You know at least half of these boys don't know how to cook a decent meal because there was always women around to do it for them. I personally think that Juice is one of the best cooks out of all of them because he has that whole health streak in him. The thought of him trying to give any of them cooking lessons??? God that's humor that just writes itself.

Also every now and then I think about the fact that the guys definitely just go to hang out at Red Woody the same way they hang out at the clubhouse. And yea of course a huge benefit of it is because they're making porn. But also the idea that they actually get to know the women and the men who make the movies and develop these little types of friendships?? Like them asking the dudes how they really just get through certain stuff being done to them and then being ready to do it all over again for the next film just makes me cackle every time. Because you know the actors, regardless of gender, would be like, "You guys get shot and stabbed on a regular basis and you're telling me you would draw the line at anal????"

I love these characters with my whole heart. I think about them constantly. These are just some of the things that were at the top of my head when I sat down to answer this. Just some of the fun stuff.

poetry is so nice. i used to write poetry sometimes when i was in really bad moments of mental health stuff, so most of my poetry is really triggering probably. i totally understand you with feeling like characters are living and breathing people, i feel that so much. i had an oc who i adored some years ago and haven’t touched on her since those years ago. unfortunate, i miss her so much (her name is june btw). i miss writing, it’s one of the only things i’ve ever truly shared and created because i used to be good at it, but now i think i’ve lost a lot of that. the last thing i wrote was a short c!ranboo poem that i posted a few months ago (i think). and i completely get you, makes total sense. i think writing in that way is really nice

i don't have all the energy atm to explain my full headcanons but basically i had a fic AU set in a modern, non-fantastical universe where the osmp cast lived in this smaller quaint town and eventually o!Ranboo left to move into the city after a natural disaster event happened in the other town and caused her some trauma. her relationships are generally strained but are better with some people than others but inevitably she is able to find her way home. there's more to it than that but that was my idea hehe

poetry is so so so fucking healing seriously, and honestly like! any kind of writing is so important to keep regardless of whether it fits on this metric of "good/bad", like. it's coming from the heart and your experiences and these characters that you connect to (june sounds lovely by the way, <3) and that's what's most important. i've had to give myself a lot of grace with cough syrup about whether or not i was writing it perfectly because, yeah, the first couple of chapters are objectively on the shittier end compared to the rest of the fic. but what matters is that it conveyed what i wanted it to, and it gave me a way to spend that summer, and it meant a lot to me.

i hope this isn't uncomfortable to say but the fact that your csranboo uses the name mare because of me makes me like, tear up a little. and yes, i remember that anon! i find it so interesting how many people have asked me about alternate names i'd give the characters for purposes of fictives because to be entirely honest i am so ungodly shitty with names that every time i flounder LMAO, but it's very sweet that people ask me haha . also tell your cstubbo i say hello as well , there are many brain guys in this community too and i think that's realy neat honestly

There's a Boy Who Lived and a boy who didn't, and even a mother can't always tell them apart.

danpuff notes: perverse_idyll's characters are always so, so captivating for their merciless humanity.

This is a story about Eileen and the boys who visit her.

This is a masterpiece of character work, not only of the central character Eileen, but also of her son. And, in the contrast, Harry.

There is nothing I adore more than flawed characters and woo-boy, have we hit the jackpot! Eileen is a bitter and unpleasant woman. She's grieving, yes, but that's not all there is to it. She's complicated, as all humans are.

She's unsocial. Not one to care for being sweet or kissing butt. Her interactions with other people are not especially nice. Though her moments of desperation, where she screws up and rushes in to "fix" it, are so real and so interesting! She is also not especially kind in the way she thinks of people, even (or especially) her son.

You can see so much of Severus in Eileen. But it's so perfectly balanced! Often in stories, familial relationships never feel quite right. Family members are either too alike or too different, but here we get flavors of Severus without her being him. You can see the connection, can see the impact they left on one another, without them being one another. What a special find this is! They feel like real, individual people with a real, individual relationship and history!

IT'S SO PERFECT I ACTUAL WANT TO SCREAM.

Ahem.

So for all of Eileen's flaws, she's no monster. She's more than the bitter woman life has crushed her into. She is a woman determined to find the truth, and to do the right thing. (Or what she sees as being the right thing.) I won't get too deep into that to avoid spoilers, but my gosh! There is a part of her with values and morals, and those things matter enough to take what action she can.

She's smart. Maybe not the genius her son is, but she's quick. She figures out the mystery all on her own. She's Slytherin enough to move the pieces where she needs them for her to act. She has mind enough and skill enough to make a plan and act on it. She is her own woman, her own person, outside of Severus' mother. Outside of that role, outside how she affected him. She is a person!

Eileen is also a mother, though, but not just the role of mother. But what that role did to her. Her feelings about becoming a mother, her feelings about her son, neither of them are easy to swallow or especially sweet, but she loves him. Even if she doesn't know how to love him.

God, Eileen here is fantastic. But it's not just her! It's what we glean about Severus from her. From her thoughts and memories, from what she shares with Harry. The compare/contrast to Harry.

Honestly. It's all so messed up and convoluted and dysfunctional. It's gritty and real. And just plain gorgeous. This is a story about a woman. And a story about her son. A story about a mother's love, even -- or especially -- when it isn't rainbows and sunshine.

I'd like to leave off with a quote from the story, though it's hard to narrow down. Perverse_idyll is a true wordsmith who weaves magic with prose, and so many parts of it struck me deep. So I'll choose the most self-indulgent bit, as it so aligns with my own headcanons and things I love about Severus:

'Oh, Lord, that look. It ran in the family, like problem hair. Not just love. Not just hate. But loving and hating at the same time, with equal intensity and insatiable need.'

So please, do yourself a favor and go read this one! (And feel free to DM me and chat about it.) (Please???? Someone come love this story and scream with me????)

You headcanon him as someone who is aware of that and that's why he calls you, his s/o, princess instead of queen because deep down you do interpret him as someone who doesn't view your self-insert as equal just as an entertaining accessoire (''oh look she talks smart unlike others her age'', ''oh look she is my emotional support animal and is my therapist for free''). I mean that's the natural consequence of age-gap relationships.

You aren't a mature woman, otherwise you wouldn't ship yourself with someone who is what? 20 years older than you? And butcher his character into some troubled manchild for that? Perhaps you did have a convo where he praised you on how mature you were lmfao

I'm 20 years old yet I'm not a delusional self-shipper who likes to fit characters into a special ''if he were like he'd like me'' mold, it's just insulting, as if you have never read his short stories.

Be honest with yourself, canon Swain wouldn't be interested in you, he wouldn't even notice your presence unless you have talents but even then he'd take a mentor role as he did atleast once in canon.
