And to that I say, just be glad you weren't playing with my husband, whose favorite battle strategies were "Laser Ray everything and I mean EVERYTHING in his path" and "use Internal Combustion on allies to turn them into walking time bombs if that maximizes the number of enemies hit, and also out of combat just for fun"

#dos2 #no but im not surprised some people who loved bg3 are bouncing off of it cause thats just how it goes #when a franchise or developer gets mainstream acclaim after already making a lot of games #a lot of people wont even bother to look at previous games #some will #and some will come to love them just as much as old fans #and others will bounce off it because its less polished or just plays a little different #to me bg3 felt a TON like dos2 except with d&d rules with which i was already quite familiar #to people going backward to dos2 it may not feel as similar #dos2 is also much more linear #also playing a custom character is even less interesting than making a tav is #in both games the origin characters are just FAR more interesting ways to experience the plot than customs #but idk it is actually kinda fun to make a custom tav. in dos2 i do not recommend doing anything but an origin run #ugh i cant stop rambling dos2 is so good you should really try it #if nothing else you need to discover the far cooler version of elves #uh. cw for cannibalism with them though

It’s not as good as my mom’s. 

Tooru took them out for lunch that day. Mahiru, being only five, asked for the only thing he understood on the menu his uncle read to him; curry with chunks of carrot and meat, served on fine, white rice. 

His mother laughed when he said it. She taught him how to make it that night, and he slowly, carefully chopped vegetables as she talked of how to soften the meat and when to add the carrots. That memory is one of his favourites. 

It’s not as good as my mom’s.

He’s fifteen now, and doesn’t go out to eat anymore. The apartment is silent save for the bubbling pot on his stove, in which chunks of carrot and meat slowly turn as he stirs, frowning at the brown sludge they’re swimming in. 

He never quite managed to make it taste like hers, no matter how well she taught him. But it’s close enough to make him think of her and the brighter spots in their life, so he cooks it again and again, and eats it alone by the kitchen table, and gives it away to everyone in need of a warm bowl of curry to feel a little less alone. 

Years later, loneliness is but a distant shadow in his mind. He’s taken out for lunch again – he forgot the occasion but doesn’t mind all that much. Kuro is there, too; and Sakuya, and every other friend he ever made in all that time. 

“It’s not as good as Mahiru’s.”

It’s Kuro who says it, to Sakuya who nods sagely in agreement. There’s curry on his plate, with chunks of carrot and meat, served on fine, white rice. 

It’s an offhand remark, met with murmurs of agreement around the table before the conversation moves on. Mahiru allows himself to stay in that little, golden moment for just a second longer. 

It’s comforting, in a way he never felt before.

You see luffy's finishing attack with his giant hammer being fueled by lightning which is nami's main weapon with her clima tact and she even made the guy steer the islands towards the cyclone so even if the lighting isn't produced by her the lighting is provided by her either way so luffy AND her finished that guy and even luffy attacked after nami announced how he will lose which also means nami knew and trusted luffy to end him after that and of course he did and

Oh my god luffy making nami explain herself about the message he left on the tone dial and being pissed that she didn't trust him to save and protect her but he got so mad and didn't hear the whole message and she asked luffy to save her omg....... she knew after all that they will come and win..... #I've been running around as a different character with a friend and we went to a photo booth #somewhat based of a rp where Francel gets hired as a little maid and becomes such an important part of Grinnaux's life #that he wants him to be a part of his family photo and pulls him in despite Francel protesting how inappropriate it is so he's surprised #but he melts soon after #grinnaux de dzemael #with his hand on Francel's waist so he feels timid... #he has since been restored to his station and they come to work together at the Firmament #Teaching my Grinnaux sensitivity and bestowing calm and lighting a path for him to control his own destiny #not so easily pointed at others enemies and used to fight others battles #He learns how to protect and comes to do what he was always destined to do! Serve Ishgard and all her people! Not just those in power #He might still have some sourness #but I think he's growing from that jaded outlook... Horsies in the Plex if Roxy is a horse lover before she knows they've ever existed here is really good honestly. She's off exploring, finding random horse themed things and immediately drops what she's doing to run over to Vanessa with it like "LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!" cause Vanessa also likes horsies and is the reason Roxy likes them so much in the first place.

Like it starts with a prop horseshoe or something. Then she's finding plushies and building a little collection of them, making sure to give Vanessa one every time she finds a new one. Then she finds a random ass saddle or a bunch of prop hay bales or something. A bridle. Some bit pieces. A harness for a wagon. The wagon itself. Horse action figures. Whatever else. She's been excited about every single thing she's found so far and wonders how much more there is to find...

Opens a new storage room door and she finds actual fucking horses. Deactivated, dusty as hell, animatronic horsies.

Fucking grabs Vanessa and takes off running into areas Vanessa is absolutely not allowed to be in at all to show her all the horsies sndjjd like "VANESSAA!!! THERE'S HORSES!!!! NESSA HORSES ARE REAL!!! THEY REALLY EXIST NESSA LOOOOK!!!!"
