I don’t have a dream journal but this needs to be noted. (Context, this is a dream I had)

Alright so i was playing VRchat and i was some sort of cartoony Argos (kinda like how voidbeau draws him) and i was with these other people in a pink bakery which, for some reason had a strip pole on it so we were all on the pole

Anyways we’re talking about our favorite horror stuff i think, and then this smaller group of people (about 3) come near us and are like “ You guys like horror stuff?? Ew! Why would you purposefully scare yourselves?!!!” Or smth like that and they go to the back of the bakery.

So i’m like “ guys, change into mandela catalog characters” (because that’s the first thing that came in mind) and they start dressing up as people from different horror franchises, i see like one jason, a sirenhead, 2 people were some little girls etc eyc.

So we go in the back and then the dream cuts and i wake up :(

One of my fave thought exercises is placing a violent/monterous character and forcing them to be the hero of a story. If they normally kill on sight or by instinct, I force their "kill drives" to be diminished or missing entirely.

My fave Characters to answer the call of heroism include:

SCPs 682 and/or 096.

Mr X, Lisa Trevor, and Nemesis.

Slenderman, Sirenhead, or a similar faceless entity.

Various Killer characters from Dead by Daylight - my favorite being all of The Legion and The Hillbilly.

And my ultimate favorite unlikely hero; Jason Voorhees

No real goal in mind for these aus. Mostly just want characters/monsters who only know hatred, revulsion, or fear from others or themselves, suddenly be thrust into scenarios where they can be the hero of the story, despite their own personal feelings on the matter.
