That’s it, this photo officially got me pregnant.. ( ꩜ ᯅ ꩜;)⁭ ⁭

After days of convincing Remi to go to the doctors to get his particularly persistent sinus infection taken care of, the wolf reluctantly agrees, although with the amount of prodding it took from Levi to even get him to agree, he didn’t feel like pushing it by trying to get his already overly grumpy mate to wear a mask…

But once they get there, Remi, of course, can’t help but be Remi, and any time he feels that familiar prickle begin to burn like wildfire up his sensitive, swollen sinuses, he doesn’t even bother to cover and each spraying fit mists anything around him, earning more than a couple disgusted glares from others waiting in the office. 😉

the sickfic without a title

I'm making a little master post of sorts for this fic, since it is turning out to be very long. (update: 25k words so far but I keep adding to it 😬)

I'll link each part/chapter here after I post it, and then I'll probably post the whole thing to ao3 after. it is still a wip so I'm not sure when it will be completed, but I'm thinking about 7-8 chapters? and each one is about 4-5k words so far.

giving a little background in the summary because it's very lazy writing and very self indulgent so it might be confusing/not well written for most parts lol

summary: jungkook, a graphic designer, goes on a summer vacation with his six boyfriends (seokjin owns a bakery, namjoon is an architect, yoongi is a music producer and part time barista, hoseok is a dance instructor at a university, jimin is a kindergarten teacher, and taehyung is an art therapist) but he's hit with a stomach bug on the very first day. it's all kind of downhill from there when he catches a cold just as he's recovering, but he has six wonderful boyfriends to take very good care of him

Ok so if you have emetophobia and/or have ever drowned I highly recommend you don’t use a neti pot for your sinuses because it will trigger a whole body panic experience that will not go away for hours.

Sinus infection hell. I feel tired and disgusting all the time, on top of having many inches of snow (and weather in the negative degrees F) that prevents me from ever wanting to leave the house.

Protips for anyone else with one -

A. Humidifiers!! It's winter in the US, and that means dry air, which will nuke your sinuses. (I was prone to them while living in L.A. as well - it's always dry there, and the smog is terrible. Use humidifiers always if you live in a dry place!)

B. Flonase. Flonase is your one true savior (I'm not kidding, it's very much like a magic bullet every time I get one of these...my sincere thanks to the doctor who first prescribed it to me years ago for this reason) - but you can pair it with...

C. Zyrtec! Flonase helps a lot with the swelling and drainage, and if it's allergies, pairing it with Zyrtec helps kick the allergies in the teeth.

D. Drink lots of water! Lots of things suggest vitamin C as well, but citrus interacts with/neutralizes ADHD medication, so I can't have my favorite source of it...OJ. Imbibe your Vitamin C in the form you wish.

E. I refuse to do this one, because I refuse to waterboard myself: Neti-Pot. But be sure to use distilled water! I worked in a pharmacy in my 20s and heard horror stories (to include death) that came of improperly used Neti-pots. Pour that stuff in your face holes if you're up to it (I'm sure as hell not) to flush out the sinus holes in your face bones that are nasty and making you feel bad.

D. Sudafed - my go-to decongestant anytime I'm ill and stuffy! No decongestant will ever clear you up like this one. Be aware that it is in the same family as adderall, so depending on your dose it may not be advisable to take this (my dose is low enough that I'm safe). If you have heart problems... again, this is in that same family of drugs and may not be safe for you, so check with your pharmacist (they know more about drug interactions/effects than the average doctor... its their job to, after all!).

E. Rest. Nap all you want, cuddle your favorite pet or person or stuffed animal or whatever... but if you're tired? Answer the call. Your immune system is hard at work, so take the pressure off of everything else and rest up, let your body do its thing with the help of those meds. Maybe watch some Osmosis Jones, and celebrate your immune system being so cool.

So my infection reached its end monday, I felt a lot better yesterday and even went out to go see my seester!

The funny thing is that the sinus infection somehow reset my nose to factory settings because I legit could not smell anything since I had covid in 2020 and now WHEN WERE CANDLES SO OVERPOWERING OH MY GOSH DID EVERYTHING SMELL SO STRONG??? LIKE DANG

My only qualm is that while I was sick my fever kept me up all night and I slept all day so now my sleep schedule is wack and I go to bed at 3am which is not ideal

I have a therapy appointment tomorrow that If i miss my therapist will drop me cuz I’ve missed the past 3 appointments cuz I’ve been sick or at another doc visit for my Chronic Illnesses. (Let it be known i did call and reschedule all but one)

And guess who just got diagnosed with a bad case of oral thrush today, has sores and spots all over their tongue, inside of mouth and down their throat, feels miserable, cant swallow or yawn without Pain, and is possibly developing a sinus infection ✌🏼

Therapists when chronically ill, immunocompromised patients are chronically ill and miss appointments: 😡

So... uh.

Got a sinus infection

It's miserable and my head hurts.

I'm drawing but I do not think I'll be finishing the next chapter right now. I had planned to get it out really quickly cause my motivation came back, but I'm taking horse sized pills rn with 875mg of amoxicillin.

Anyway, I will likely have it out sometime next week, just I cannot say when.
