It was as if there were a force between us that defied explanation, that defied chaos . . . I am not one to believe in such things, but it did seem as if we could not be parted. We kept coming across one another in the city, and each time we met we began exactly where we left off.

Do you think Lestat takes offense of whomever hurts Louis? Like no harm to his body, but more so that he feels hurt. Cuz i read somewhere that some paintings he had got destroyed and Lestat wasn’t happy
Oh absolutely.
There's this little comment in Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, where Lestat spells it out:
I didn’t want Louis to be humiliated, but what could Fareed and Seth say to talk of the silver cord? If they became impatient and short with him, I’d be furious.
For example.
Lestat loves Louis. He wants him happy. He will do anything.
Even when they are (very) petty with each other *coughs*, namely when Lestat goes and burns down Louis hut in The Tale of the Body Thief, he makes sure to rescue the things Louis loves most first:
At once I gathered up the paintings-a gorgeous Monet, a couple of small Picassos, and a ruby-red egg tempera panel of the medieval period, all deteriorating badly, of course-and I rushed out and into the old empty Victorian mansion, and stashed these in a darkened corner which seemed both safe and dry.
Mh hmmm. (So yeah, happy is not something Lestat is when paintings belonging to Louis get destroyed^^)
Btw, these rescued painting then end up in Rue Royale after (Merrick):
These were all wonderfully colored Impressionist treasures which Louis had long ago collected and once kept in a small uptown house, where he lived until Lestat burnt that house, and, in reconciliation, begged Louis to come and join him here.
As per the incident you mentioned... (Blood Communion)
The slaughter of the band of rebel mavericks in Louisiana was inevitable. They’d been warned to stay away from New Orleans, where they’d been known to bully other blood drinkers and wreak enough havoc to make the local news. And this time, not only had they fractured the peace to attack the estate of an older immortal appealing for help, but they’d broken into my townhouse in the Rue Royale, stolen clothes from my closets and chests there, and stupidly slashed to pieces a minor but beautiful Impressionist painting which was dear to Louis.
Well.
I think it speaks for itself (though there is even more reason to hunt them down and kill them, but...).
Yes. Lestat does take offense when Louis gets hurt.
And I'm not sure this world is big enough to hide from him then *coughs*

Some say the Great Noble Spirits are sleeping, or have forgotten us.
But I tell you that a Faery comes to me nightly thus:
To share his Fire as we make love within the Starry Well,
To share my Story and unite the realms of Heaven, Here, and Hell.
My Aurifex who works the breath and waters of my soul,
and in our communion deepens the wealth of being whole.
No, do not forsake the Deep Ones hidden within the twilit Dream,
for whom we yearn and burn to vivify their shining stream.
The heart is set aflame in virid raw desire
when he approaches bearing his cunning Blue-Sun fire.
Then together we give praise unto the Holy Night;
we worship with our lips and hands and loins in sacred rite.
He teaches me the ways of praise and devotion to the Mystery,
and knots the threads that bind the Winds and sets me wandering free.
A Child, a Bride, a Hag attend unto the Moon.
Roses bloom and burn as jasmine's scent the Eve attunes.
Our flesh, one Flesh, as it weirdly writhes and gushes forth:
the Door Without a Key is opened by the Horn'd One's torch.
We consecrate ourselves with the Moon Dove's silver'd tears
and we call upon our Darksome Mother to embrace our lusts and fears.
Most Holy Harlot of the Sabbat, by the Knife and by the Cup:
Come dance the Winds around the compass as we feast and run amok.
Make our black hearts beat like a drum pounding in your frenzied Flight,
as we join the Dance on ochre'd feet to make wild our delight!
Swear now the wicked vow to unveil the Goblin Masquerade,
As lunar Scythe—your Crescent Crown—licks our fingers with its blade.
Altogether make the Covenant to fill the Cauldron to the brim—
as every drop of Red that bleeds from us is a spell upon the Wind.
Nine herbs, nine woods, nine kisses given forth into the fire
to boil up a potent brew, a nectar dripping honey-tongued Desire.
Our eyes are opened in the Sight, fill now they with Green Mist,
as quickly turn the seasons by the spirits with whom we tryst.
And Beware! Beware the Fire flashing from our Knives in fuck and fight:
Its sharpest edge cuts foe and friend alike, just as Dawn is born from Night.
And if we be so Lucky then to win the Old Ones’ boon,
as we keep our eyes well-steadied on the waters of the Moon—
look not away from there the prize, the treasure-hoard of yore,
and take the leap in waking sleep to live forevermore.
And in these acts we re-member that we are the fevered hands of Fate:
Hand-to-hand we've claimed the fire-brand in allegiance with the Fetch Mate.
The Old Ones have shaken us so that now we come awake,
and as Legion and strange Otherhood we take a stand before it's too late.
Keep the Silence as we work, masked and cowled and veiled,
but for the rest of us is clad in sky within the Wild Weald.
And we know that at the crossroads were meet the Ghostly Tracks,
the Other-Selves shall lead the Front as they emerge from hollowed backs.
Back-to-back we dance the ring against the coursing Sun,
That to There, the Furthest Shore, with our Faeries we do run.
And beyond the strand across the seas stands reaching up to Heaven
a Broken Mountain wherein burns the Sun to Midnight given.
So shines the altar-pyre darkly in the deep of this black cave,
the Sun's been swallowed by the Wolf whose jaws do form the Grave.
And like the lance that pricks the thigh to awaken our delight,
dare to climb the latticed bones to steal a spark of Might.
Behold! The Secret Queen! The Daughter who shall lead us on our way!
Our Nightly Flights shall win the fight as we battle back the day!
To and fro, between the lintel posts we strive to keep on going,
and know that stealthily we win a new Fate from this doing.
Every thread is precious, every thread we knot and bind,
Into the burning blackness labyrinthine we wind,
Tethering our cords to one another deed-by-deed,
working for the Land as it calls us to its Truest Need.
Together, in relationship, we are weaving the great Story:
And that every thread is precious, every song shall find its glory.
Silver Lightning flashes downward, a kindled kiss out of the Dark,
Great Eyes are Watching from the Outer Spaces whose gazes leave a Mark.
And as you stare into the blackness, and it reflects your Star-Self True,
know that the Story we are weaving is at the same time weaving you.

Night island: share your favourite ship and one thing you'd change about their canon story
Memnoch: share three of your favourite VC fanfictions that you recommend others to read
[[MORE]]
Apassionata:

From IWTV movie soundtrack -
Let's face it most of the ship's in VC (non judgement ~ works for et all) But especially m'boys Armand/Daniel and Armand/Marius -
Night Island:
Since Qotd and that certain chapter (Devils minion: the story of Daniel) I had an added favourite with my original one Armand. I wouldn't change anything except to have more of how it ended, as richly woven as how it begun. So many questions - How did they split, when. Was Daniel already in the grips of madness or was him hiding it adding to it (Eg. Wishlist plot line btw). When did he end up in Marius' care (I have many headcanons with my Daniel muse about this too).
Memnoch:
There's alot to chose from especially on Forbidden Archives and the like - One called Apple's of Sodom is amazingly saucy not that I can find it anymore - lost on my defunct notebook 🙄😭💔
1. A classic from 1996: A divergent verse of pre then Mtd onwards ~ Last Gift by Torch
3. Modern Human AU: Our House by HekateInHell featuring Armand/Daniel the main protagonists with Lestat/Louis - as the supporting characters that are all linked with a tangle of angst.
2. So many to pick from this collection of authors writing together - Puppets on silver cords by UnWillingDevil life in court in France post Blood Communion.
4. Bonus: Angelheaded by Mamazoom another AU but with the faves as a Bikergang - a AU of TVA

#HANDY NOTE CORDS FOR LONG FORGOTTEN HIPP FREE#
But undoubtedly, the album’s most arresting cut is “The African Queen,” a loping atmospheric piece characterized by an infectious descending horn melody, a mind-blowing Joe Henderson solo and Roger Humphries’ turbulent drum fills.Ĭlick to load video 44. The music ranges from vibrant uptempo material (the title track and pulsating “Nutville”) to mellow mid-tempo grooves (“Pretty Eyes”). The pianist fronts a quintet featuring rising Philadelphia trumpet star Woody Shaw, and tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson, who are augmented on three tracks by trombonist J.J. Silver’s family originated in Cape Verde, a Portuguese-speaking island off north-west Africa, and this, his 13th Blue Note album, paid homage to his ancestral roots. One of hard bop’s chief architects, Connecticut-born pianist-composer Horace Silver was also a co-founder member of The Jazz Messengers and helped to establish the two-horn frontline (trumpet and saxophone) as the norm in small-group jazz. The musical alchemy they summon is spellbinding.Ĭlick to load video 46.

Cherry and his cohorts improvise – both as individuals and collectively – on several different musical themes that flow into one another in a free and organic way. Featuring Argentine saxophonist Gato Barbieri, bassist Henry Grimes, and drummer Ed Blackwell, the album consists of two extended suites. Having appeared in the late 50s and early 60s on significant envelope-pushing LPs by jazz iconoclasts Ornette Coltrane, John Coltrane, and Albert Ayler, Cherry presented his unique personal musical manifesto on Complete Communion, his debut as a leader. Oklahoma-born trumpeter Cherry was 29 when he recorded this groundbreaking album, the first of three long-players for Blue Note. Let us know in the comments, below, which ones you think we may have missed. This list of 50 albums is a mere fraction of the LPs that Blue Note has put over the years. It is a mission that he never wavered from, nor have the Blue Note albums that have followed in his illustrious footsteps. But when Alfred Lion started the label in 1939 with a recording of boogie-woogie pianists Meade Lux Lewis and Albert Ammons, his intention was simple: To release music that he felt was important. Blue Note is unquestionably the most iconic jazz label there’s ever been.

Eucharistic Chalice, André Schiller, 1627, Minneapolis Institute of Art: Decorative Arts, Textiles and Sculpture
stemmed cup on wide base; base decorated with scrolls, three-dimensional winged heads, and bouquets; three winged heads with tasseled cord pendants on stem separate three cartouches--crucified Christ with "1627", engraved panel with scrolls, heart, flowers, and "MARIA", engraved panel with scrolls and "IHS"; three angels in relief on cup separating cartouches with engraved scroll and flower designs; silver and gold patina According to Catholic belief, performing the Eucharist – the sacrament of Holy Communion in the Christian faith – transforms the wine from the Eucharistic chalice into the blood of Christ. Christian theologians have historically disputed whether the ritual of consecration physically transforms the wine into Christ’s blood, or if Christ is only symbolically present. Schiller’s Eucharistic Chalice is decorated with the scene of the crucifixion, acting as a visual reminder of the spilled blood of Christ contained within the chalice. Size: 8 3/4 x 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 in. It's always fascinating to me to hear how people from different backgrounds interact with Catholicism. I was raised atheist but my great grandma was a devout Roman Catholic to her death, and I remember helping the family go through her things and coming up with all these little trinkets. Rosaries and medallions, little vials of holy water, a gold cornicello... they all seemed magical to me. Like I'd stumbled upon something arcane.
in addition to knowing how to properly do theatrics, Catholics have also perfected tiny-shinies
Every Catholic I knew also had at least five different rosaries.
the plastic one with the white cord and the oblong beads that was basically everyone’s first rosary and was probably received as a prize at Sunday school or religious ed.
the nice rosary, the one they probably got for First Reconciliation or First Communion; mine was made of moonstone and real silver.
another plastic rosary, which they probably got at some youth group event, retreat, or multi-diocese gathering, usually blessed by someone.
the wooden rosary, which was probably inherited from a deceased family member and had really janky connections between the beads.
and lastly, the Weird rosary. Maybe it was a decade rosary, or a thumb-ring rosary, or a knotted-cord rosary. Mine was plastic, glow-in-the-dark, and blessed by Benedict XVI. (Not personally or anything. I went to a papal mass in DC when he came stateside, and there was a part where he would bless shit that we were all holding up, and I held up my Weird rosary.)

Blessed Beltane!
Tumblr media
Beltane April 30th - May 1st
Sunset to Sunset.
Beltane honours Life. It represents the peak of Spring and the beginning of Summer. Earth energies are at their strongest and most active. All of life is bursting with potent fertility and at this point in the Wheel of the Year, the potential becomes conception. On May Eve the sexuality of life and the earth is at its peak. Abundant fertility, on all levels, is the central theme. The Maiden goddess has reached her fullness. She is the manifestation of growth and renewal, Flora, the Goddess of Spring, the May Queen, the May Bride. The Young Oak King, as Jack-In-The-Green, as the Green Man, falls in love with her and wins her hand. The union is consummated and the May Queen becomes pregnant. Together the May Queen and the May King are symbols of the Sacred Marriage (or Heiros Gamos), the union of Earth and Sky, and this union has merrily been re-enacted by humans throughout the centuries. For this is the night of the Greenwood Marriage. It is about sexuality and sensuality, passion, vitality and joy. And about conception. A brilliant moment in the Wheel of the Year to bring ideas, hopes and dreams into action. And have some fun.....
Traditions of Beltane
Beltane is a Fire Festival. The word 'Beltane' originates from the Celtic God 'Bel', meaning 'the bright one' and the Gaelic word 'teine' meaning fire. Together they make 'Bright Fire', or 'Goodly Fire' and traditionally bonfires were lit to honour the Sun and encourage the support of Bel and the Sun's light to nurture the emerging future harvest and protect the community. Bel had to be won over through human effort. Traditionally all fires in the community were put out and a special fire was kindled for Beltane. "This was the Tein-eigen, the need fire. People jumped the fire to purify, cleanse and to bring fertility. Couples jumped the fire together to pledge themselves to each other. Cattle and other animals were driven through the smoke as a protection from disease and to bring fertility. At the end of the evening, the villagers would take some of the Teineigen to start their fires anew." (From Sacred Celebrations by Glennie Kindred) Green Man - Beltane
Handfasting
As Beltane is the Great Wedding of the Goddess and the God, it is a popular time for pagan weddings or Handfastings, a traditional betrothal for 'a year and a day' after which the couple would either choose to stay together or part without recrimination. Today, the length of commitment is a matter of choice for the couple, and can often be for life. Handfasting ceremonies are often unique to the couple, but include common elements, most importantly the exchange of vows and rings (or a token of their choice). The act of handfasting always involves tying the hands Handfasting ('tying the knot') of the two people involved, in a figure of eight, at some point in the ceremony and later unbinding. This is done with a red cord or ribbon. Tying the hands together symbolises that the two people have come together and the untying means that they remain together of their own free will.
Another common element is 'jumping the broomstick' - this goes back to a time when two people who could not afford a church ceremony, or want one, would be accepted in the community as a married couple if they literally jumped over a broom laid on the floor. The broom marked a 'threshold', moving from an old life to a new one.
Mead and cakes are often shared in communion as part of the ceremony. Mead is known as the Brew of the Divine, made from honey which is appropriate for a love ceremony (and is the oldest alcoholic drink known to humankind).
Going A-Maying
Handfasting or not, both young and old went A-Maying... Couples spent the night in the woods and fields, made love and brought back armfuls of the first May or haw thorn blossoms to decorate their homes and barns. Hawthorn was never brought into the home except at Beltane - at other times it was considered unlucky. Young women gathered the dew to wash their faces, made Flower Crowns and May Baskets to give as gifts. Everyone was free to enact the Sacred Marriage of Goddess and God, and there was an accepted tradition of Beltane babies arriving nine months later...
Maypole
The Maypole is a popular and familiar image of May Day and Beltane. A phallic pole, often made from birch, was inserted into the Earth representing the potency of the God. The ring of flowers at the top of the Maypole represents the fertile Goddess. Its many coloured ribbons and the ensuing weaving dance symbolise the spiral of Life and the union of the Goddess and God, the union between Earth and Sky.
The colours of Beltane are green, red and white/silver. Green represents growth, abundance and fertility. Red represents strength, vitality, passion and vibrancy. White represents cleansing and clearing and the power to disperse negativity.
Nana Violet's Egg Charm For Beltane.
Think carefully what you wish for! The general rule of thumb is a brown egg for wishes involving animals and white for wishes involving people and plants, for example healing a sick animal, person or plant. Eggs with white shells are difficult to come by now as chickens are generally given feed which produces the desired brown shell, but in recent years some of the supermarkets are making white eggs available at this time of year so they are worth looking out for.
1. Blow the egg. Using a fat needle, pierce a hole in both ends of the egg, making one hole larger than the other. Using the needle pierce the egg yolk gently and swirl it around to break up the yolk. Place a small drinking straw in one end and gently blow through the other hole to help gravity do its work.
2. Paint Your Egg Talisman. When your egg has thoroughly dried out place it on top of a little mound of blue tack to hold it in place and you are ready to go! Choose a symbol to represent your wish - a heart for love, coin for prosperity, a candle for wisdom, whatever is meaningful for you. Or you can paint the whole egg in a corresponding colour - red for love, green for prosperity, purple for wisdom and so on. Another way to do it is to stick rose petals on for love, or feathers for fertility - again it is what is meaningful to you that is important.
3. When it is ready find a suitable place for it and prepare for it for hanging by threading a thin thread (embroidery thread, thin wool) through the two holes and secure it with a large knot, a bead, or even a matchstick at the bottom to hold it steady.
4. Clear your mind and focus on your desire for abundance/fruitfulness and its place in your life:
'Little charm made of shell as I hang you here may all be well. May all things grow. May all things flow. Blessings for the turning of the Wheel."
Use these words or any others that you are comfortable with - remember this is all about your intention.
Egg charm donated by our Counter Enchantress from her own family traditions.
Making a Wish Box Charm
Beltane is a good time for bringing hopes, dreams and aspirations to life, and here is a truly beautiful charm to help you bring these into manifestation.
You will need:
A small shallow cardboard box. Shoe boxes are good. Rose petals Sunflower seeds and/or poppy seeds Paper A piece of willow bark or piece of willow, an acorn or oak leaf Something that represents your wish (see below)
Take a piece of paper and write your wish on it while visualizing your wish coming to life and growing. You can do this alone, with friends, or as a family. If you want to, decorate the lid of the box, with a triple moon, pentacle, heart, or any symbol of your choice. Poke a few holes in the lid - this will help your wish/plants, to grow. Take your box and sprinkle some earth into it. Put in your paper wishes, wish symbol (see below), and seeds/bark/acorn. Cover with another layer of earth. Mix the rose petals with the seeds and scatter them on top. Cover with a final layer of earth and place the lid on top, leaving enough of the rose petal/seed mixture to scatter on top of the box when you are planting it.
Planting Your Wish Box
The best time for planting your Wish Box is just after a fresh cleansing rainfall as this gives you a bright new start, but if the season is dry just give the earth a good watering the night before. Dig a hole two inches deeper than your wish box and lower it into the earth carefully while concentrating on your chosen wish, visualizing it coming to fruition. Imagine your wish growing with the flowers reaching skyward. As you cover the box with earth say:
"Dream that lies within the earth awaken now. Hope that sleeps awaken now. The stars await as so do I. Grow true, grow strong, toward the sky."
If you don't have a garden you can make a mini wish pot that can live on a window ledge and it works just as well. Just replace the box with a terracotta pot - one wish and one symbol per pot following exactly the same instructions as above. Remember that wishes are only to be used for positive motives.
Suggested Symbols For Your Wish Box:
Love & Marriage - gingerbread New Job - copper coin Abundance - silver coin Difficult Task - glove Hearth & Home - thimble Seeking the Truth - sprig of rosemary Health, Healing, Renewed Strength - blue & green ribbon entwined Happiness, Good Luck - cinnamon stick Seeking Knowledge - apple To Find A Lost Item - feather Protection - key (an old iron key is best if you have one)
Charm donated by our Counter Enchantress from her own family traditions.
Beltane Bread As Only Debs Knows How
You will need: 3 mugs of strong white flour 500 mls of buttermilk 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda 3 tbs clear honey 3 tbs golden syrup 1 pack dried strawberries 3 drops vanilla essence 1 small beaten egg for glazing soft brown sugar for sprinkling
Place the strawberries and flour in a large bowl. Make a well in the centre and pour in the buttermilk, blended golden syrup, honey and vanilla essence together with a wooden spoon - or your hands if that is better. As you mix, feel the pulsing vibrant Beltane energy and let it run through your hands and out through your fingertips. And as you mix, say:
'As we light the Beltane flame, I make this bread in Love's sweet name. Two halves together bound as one, Beltane's dance has now begun!'
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured board and pat it into a circle. With a sharp knife lightly score the bread into two halves to represent The Lord and Lady. Glaze with beaten egg and sprinkle sugar over the top. Bake in a moderate oven for about 20-25 minutes. When the bread is cooled break it into two halves along the score mark. Repeat the words of the charm and tie with purple ribbon. Purple represents the union of red (love in all its forms) and blue (unity and harmony). Enjoy. Brightest Blessings.
Things To Do
Whatever you do, remember this is the Great Wedding! Dress in your best, especially in green, and wear a flower crown.
Stay out all night, gathering the green, watch the sunrise and make love. Wash your face in the morning dew.
Conceive a new project, grasp that idea, and get on with it.
Dress your home and/or altar with greenery - especially with hawthorn, rowan and birch branches. Ask permission from the tree before you take anything.
Dress a tree. This is the perfect time to go out and celebrate a tree. Especially a hawthorn, rowan or birch - but the tree spirit will welcome you attention whichever kind of tree it is. Sit with it, talk to it, dance around it (maypole), honour the tree and its fertility. Hang ribbons from its branches, each ribbon represents a wish or prayer.
Flowers, flowers and more flowers. This is the festival of Flora. Make a flower crown to wear - the daisy chain in the simplest of all. Make a traditional flower basket. fill it with Beltane greenery and all the flowers and herbs you can find. Think about, and honour, their magical and healing properties while you do so. Give it someone you love.
Make some Hawthorn Brandy. You will need a bottle of brandy and at least one cup of hawthorn flowers, plus a little sugar to taste. Mix the ingredients together and leave away from direct light, for at least two weeks. Shake occasionally. Strain, bottle and enjoy. Hawthorn is renowned as a tonic for the heart.
Trees of Beltane
Hawthorn
Hawthorn is a deeply magical tree and is one of the three trees at the heart of the Celtic Tree Alphabet, the Faery Triad, 'by Oak, Ash and Thorn'. Traditionally Beltane began when the Hawthorn, the May, blossomed. It is the tree of sexuality and fertility and is the classic flower to decorate a Maypole with. It was both worn and used to decorate the home at Beltane.
Birch
Birch is regarded as a feminine tree and Deities associated with Birch are mostly love and fertility goddesses. It is one of the first trees to show its leaf in Spring. Eostre/Ostara, the Celtic goddess of Spring was celebrated in festivities and dancing around and through the birch tree between the Spring Equinox and Beltane. Birch twigs were traditionally used to make besoms (a new broom sweeps clean). Maypoles were often made from birch and birch wreaths were given as lover's gifts.
Rowan
A tree of protection and healing. Branches of Rowan were placed as protection over the doors of houses and barns at Beltane to protect from increased Faery activity as they woke from their winter slumber. Sprigs were worn for protection also. Rowan berries have a tiny five-pointed star on the bottom reminiscent of the pentagram. Colours of Beltane

Solar Eclipse in Cancer, June 20th-21st, 2020 ~ Embracing Transformation
FCGCT Commentary: Wants, Needs, Desires, are aspects of the mind, not the Soul. We are moving from desires, to passions and intentions of the Heart. The mind blocks this connection. Feel, Focus and Trust within the Heart.
Solar Eclipse in Cancer, June 20th-21st, 2020 ~ Embracing Transformation
By Natalia Alba
Beloved Ones,
We are in a crucial phase of our evolutionary journey. Humanity struggles between fear and love. It is indeed a time of deep fear for many who believe in the end of the world, although in a way, it is, as we knew it. As it will no longer be as it used to. For some, stepping into a desired new timeline will mean freedom and a new way of living, one based on unconditional love, respect and conscious co-creation. For others, this new phase will be about fearing the future events to come, and the many predictions that come with them.
This is a crucial period for all of us to truly commune with our soul before making conclusions, as we are fed by fear and many delusions. It is very important that we all learn how to feel and discern for ourselves, as in truth, the matrix manipulations may be so subtle that many times what we think is coming form our own discernment, is precisely what they have infused upon us.
Most of the times, what we believe is our own guidance or thinking, is nothing but the mere input they have literally inserted into us through different media. Therefore, stay in the silence of your soul to listen to the Truth, for what you may be fighting for, may be just what they want you to be doing, at this time.
With the coming of this second eclipse at 0 degrees Cancer, we are immersed in a void, a zone of no time/space where all ends and begins at the same time, and hence, when all is birthed, again. The time where we erase the past we no longer desire to experience, simply with learning how to act within Divine love and stop damaging all that in truth, is One with us.
At this time of deep personal, and global, transformation, it is very important that during this time of eclipses, and other important galactic events, we take the proper time and care to continue redirecting our energy into the conscious creation of what is going to benefit us and All, and that is always to be centered into our higher heart, so we can spread our love, light and fearless essence into all who wish to collaborate with us in the creation of a more illumined reality.
The heart knows no polarity. This is why it is so important and we always talk about being centered there, because it has its own intelligence, receive direct guidance from Above, and is always connected to All. On the contrary, our brain is the one that is fragmented, making constant judgments in order to categorize and makes choices according to its dual perception. If we learn how to commune with our heart intelligence, we will understand that every time we have to make an important decision, it is there where we have to go for clarity.
This is the time when we finally begin to find unity and create from this same space something that will help us all evolve and reach a higher state of consciousness. Something that as species help us end the eons of suffering that we have put ourselves into, due to our egoic illusion of separation. This is where we finally awake, and use this void to come back to our zero point, erasing our past deeds by embracing higher levels of love, and creating a new reality that simply births from this same Divine Love.
Cancer – the Mother, one of the most intuitive signs of all the zodiac who lives in the realms of emotions and a higher form of love – represents the female principle of creation, the Mother aspect of us that gives birth, heals and nurtures everything it touches. a natural caretaker, healer and the one who is responsible for birthing our inner visions. As Cancer is the nurturing sign par excellence, it is related to the physical parts of us who feed and protect.
This is why, at New Moon, any breast or stomach – uncomfortable – issues, for emotions are processed in our digestive area, will show you where you need to nourish yourself, as you are feeding your human fears and this is the way your body has to express itself. As Sol is going to be very active as well, due to the Solstice, there will be sensations of being exhausted and drained. Do not push yourself to integrate more, to reach a higher state of being. You are, always, being all you need to be and exactly where you need to be.
With the coming of these series of eclipses, Solstice and many other cosmic alignments, we have the opportunity to work on our hurt feminine essence, especially during this coming Eclipse at 0 degrees Cancer, in which we will have the gift to work on releasing the damaged that during eons we have suffered in our Mother Essence, as well as in the correspondent part of our bodies – genitals – from all the damaged experienced during many lifetimes.
As this solar eclipse is going to be highly influenced by Saturn as it quincunx it, we are invited to work on the aspect of us that is determine and that expresses itself, together with our other opposite side, one that is self-limited, and therefore, lives in fear of its own personal power. This is a time to break the barriers that impede us to express who we are, to speak our truth and to make it in the way we feel guided.
At a time when many are eager for truth, freedom and love, all that we can reveal, and that comes from a space of love and respect to All, is greatly appreciated, remember that this is not about us and what we have to say, but about Source expressing Itself through us. Everything we have experienced and overcome may serve others. Everything that we receive that comes from a pure Source, can help others awake and find their truth, beginning a journey of conscious evolution. This is why it is so important that we take what we do seriously, for it is not about us, but about contributing the best we can at the moment, with the whole.
Building the Antahkarana Bridge
When I was communing with my Unified Self and Guides to receive guidance for this solar eclipse, the most important message, at this transitional time in our human history, was the importance than building a conscious bridge – Antahkarana – with our Soul, and hence, Unified Self and Monad, has, for those who are beginning to awake, as well as for those who are feeling as if they do not receive guidance in the same way, for it can be a sign that we need to continue building our non-physical cord with our soul and the Highest Aspects of us, so we can renew ourselves, our Divine Connection, and receive, again, as we used to.
At the beginning of our ascension journey there are many who are eager to continue evolving and begin to work a lot on themselves and personal healing process, which is vital. However, once we see ourselves already into this conscious path, it does not mean we should cease our personal quest, as well as inner work. Working in the connection with our Divine Aspects, is an endless task, for we never end evolving. This is why it is so important that we take the proper time, from time time, to heal, release and strengthen our connection with our non-physical self.
The Antahkarana is the conscious connection that we are going to build from our heart center, and hence, physical self, to our soul and Monad. This is the so-called triad connection, as we connect our human self with our soul and Monad, and the one that we need to build, when we initiate ourselves as fifth dimensional beings, something that comes when we are already living within Divine Love and respect with All, and feel ready to give this step.
It is vital to establish a connection, once we are finally awake, with our Illumined Self, call it as you prefer, as if we do not build this connection that goes from our human self to our soul, there is less possibility to receive guidance, healing and higher frequencies than when we consciously do so. This is why many feel as if they do not receive. In truth, the non-physical world is always talking to us, it is us the ones who need to clear our channels and do our inner work to allow this guidance to be fully descended upon us.
Prepare for meditation by sitting with your spine straight and calling upon your soul, Unified Self and Guides. After you feel their Presence and protection, thank them for their assistance in building this higher connection with the human aspect of who you are and begin to focus on your breath.
Move your attention from your breath to your heart chakra. Visualize a cord (I prefer it to be gold, although I leave it to you if silver feels more comfortable for you) which is going to go up until your pineal gland, star chakra and then as you move it throughout the other upper chakras, you will finally reach/link it with your soul and continue until you do the same with your Monad.
This is a deep visualization that requires clearing before we can step into it, as well as silence and a profound concentration, for what we are visualizing, even though it may seem just as a mere visualization exercise for our human self, is as real as what we can physically see, and it is the conscious building of our connection to the Illumined Aspects of who we are.
This is one of the most important exercises to do when we step into this ascension journey, as the more we build this connection, the stronger this cord will be, and the more guidance we will receive, as the consequence of our communion with our Unified Self.
We are always One with our Divine Self. However, as free will beings, once we came here, we chose to come and pass through a veil of illusion, one that impedes us to fully remember this connection. This is why it is so important that when we finally awake, we take the time, and repeat this meditation, from time to time, to strengthen this connection, as when we do so, we are telling our Illumined Self that we know who we are and that we are willing to make of our will its Will – linking our human self with our Divine One.
While you do this exercise, if guided, call upon the sixth Ray as well. This Ray is the one meant to be for those who are devoted to their ascension journey as well as work of assistance. As you continue to choose to evolve, and then do your inner work, not just for your personal growth but to be able to be of more help to others, this Ray is going to give you the strength and tools you need to continue with your journey, which can be challenging, especially in the beginner stages.
This Ray will also be a great support if you are asking in what you could be of further service, waiting to receive more clarity about new aspects of your soul mission, or purpose in itself. This Ray helps those who are willing to give the important step of dedicating their lives to assist others, as it shows us the particular way, in which we could develop our unique abilities to put them into the service of others.
Embracing Vulnerability
This eclipse in Cancer is going to be a very emotional one for us all, together with the Solstice, Mercury retrograde, for those who resonate with retrograde phases, and many other events that are beyond our human comprehension, but that many of us can feel, even though we cannot fully name. There are indeed many Forces aligning at this time for helping humanity to evolve and pass from unconscious species to evolved ones.
During this eclipse in Cancer we have five planets in water signs and three in earth ones. This is an opportunity to connect our non-physical self with our earthly one, building stability into all aspects of who we are. Many of us are already feeling the profound collective fear and mass manipulation that is taking place, as we feel more vulnerable and emotional than never before.
This is it is so important to be in contact with nature, with our True Essence, to receive the truth from our own Illumined Source rather than searching it outside or in other lower sources that can program our mind from what is really happening. We are passing through a deep period of fear, one caused by many who are trying to implant new programs into the collective as well as the great threaten of their survival by making them believe in the so-called coming of the end of the world.
When we are feeling vulnerable in whatever possible way we feel it, for each and every one of us will be different, it is important to embrace, without any fear, all of our feelings, for this is precisely what vulnerability is – to accept all of our feelings as equals, without any fear of expressing them, with respect. It is important to begin using our vulnerability to connect more with our Illumined Self and Truth and be of service, for we now are able to empathize more and more with others who are under a lot of fear.
Breaking our heart barriers, and showing our feelings is a sign of personal power, for we know that even though we may feel hurt at times, we embrace it all anyway, conducting it all into a constructive way rather than hiding our feelings, and hence, using our vulnerability destructively. All is energy in nature, and it is up to us to interpret and conduit our feelings wisely instead of reacting egoically all the time.
Our power and strength lie precisely in walking defenseless and exposed to all feelings, knowing that nothing and no one can truly hurt us, when we possess a higher vision of what being human truly means. When we go with an open heart, we are not weak, on the contrary, we are growing in love, for we are now strong enough to embrace everything that touches us, and it is precisely in this embrace that we help others to feel loved and appreciated.
Some may not understand how we choose to walk on this earth. We all have different views and opinions. However, love can always be felt and no matter our vision of reality, we all will begin to walk more consciously, more in love and above all, in unity, for we now remember that beyond our human personality, we are Divine Beings in disguise. Remembering makes all the difference to take this life as a conscious, and joyful choice, or as a punishment and accidental one.
I wish you all a revealing and loving Eclipse, Beloved Ones!
With love and light ∞

Quote
I wasn't thinking about anything in particular during this period, but my mind was simply dominated by Hugo. It was as if . . . Hugo were holding the end of a cord to which I was attached, and from time to time I could feel it twitching. Or else it was as if Hugo brooded over me like a great bird; and I took no pleasure in the prospect of our imminent encounter, save a sort of blind satisfaction at the downrush of the inevitable.

“If she gives you her heart,’ said I, ‘you must take it, thankfully, and use it well, and not pull it in pieces, and laugh in her face, because she cannot snatch it away.”
“This rose is not so fragrant as a summer flower, but it has stood through hardships none of them could bear: the cold rain of winter has sufficed to nourish it, and its faint sun to warm it; the bleak winds have not blanched it, or broken its stem, and the keen frost has not blighted it.  Look, Gilbert, it is still fresh and blooming as a flower can be, with the cold snow even now on its petals.—Will you have it?”

“I sometimes have a queer feeling with regard to you—especially when you are near me, as now: it is as if I had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly and inextricably knotted to a similar string situated in the corresponding quarter of your little frame.  And if that boisterous Channel, and two hundred miles or so of land come broad between us, I am afraid that cord of communion will be snapt; and then I’ve a nervous notion I should take to bleeding inwardly.”
“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will”
“Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless?  You think wrong!—I have as much soul as you,—and full as much heart!  And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you.”

Channeled Lessons in Psychic Development 3: Taking Time to Prepare
Whether you are turning inward for 15 minutes a day, or for an hour once a week, psychic and mediumistic work is built and sustained on a foundation of regular practice and meditation. Depending on your individual sensibilities, this meditation can involve simply quieting the mind, visualizing your chakras opening and clearing, saying a prayer, or engaging your inner spiritual core in some other way, perhaps through creative expression or meditative movement. Personally, I find that a number of different approaches together combine to keep the energy body strong and the channels clear. My practice is based on regular chakra meditation (the most indispensable discipline by far), journaling, and channeled writing. Using tools such as tarot and pendulums serve to enhance this, but they are the icing on the cake. There are infinite ways to engage your soul and higher self while performing mundane tasks such as bathing, eating and walking down the street, as well is in your day-to-day human interactions. What is important is to establish a rich practice that you enjoy, that keeps you connected on a regular basis and strengthens your energy body. This is your long-term foundation and preparation for psychic work, which will make you more receptive to intuitive guidance and the world of spirit.
What about the short term, then?  When we prepare to actually sit down to channel, meditate, or do a psychic or mediumistic reading, how we prepare for the reading itself can set the tone for the entire experience. My spirit guide Natalie has expressed to me that when doing mediumistic work (especially when you’re just starting out), it is important not to rush. We need to give ourselves time to shift our awareness to a spiritually heightened state, and also to give the spirits we communicate with time to shift theirs, in order to meet us where our two vibrations intersect. We reach up, they reach down. We attune ourselves to each other’s frequencies. As Natalie says: “Let us come close. Give us time to find our bearings.”
How this happens will vary from person to person. Our spiritual upbringing or cultural background might influence how we “reach up,” but the aim is always the same: to bring ourselves into a state of peaceful, joyful, secure receptiveness. These processes can be simple or elaborate, and needn’t always take very long. In a pinch, a simple white light meditation, deep breath, or accelerated chakra opening will do. However, my personal experience has been that the more time you allow for opening meditations and prayers, the better the energy and the clearer the communication will be.
Here are the full protocols I follow whenever possible:
1. As I’m preparing to set up my space for a reading, I play happy music and smudge my physical setting with incense, or put a mix of lavender, peppermint, lemongrass and eucalyptus oil in an aromatherapy lamp to get myself into a joyful mindset and lift the vibration of the space I am working in.
2. I envision my environment filling with white light, clearing out any stagnant energy.
3. I sit down, close my eyes, and breathe deeply. Then, I affirm out loud, while envisioning my aura expanding: “I raise my energy, I raise my energy, I raise my energy.”  I try to inspire myself to feel as happy, trusting, excited, and grateful as possible for my life and the opportunity to engage with spirit.
4. I perform a chakra meditation, breathing deeply. This usually consists of first envisioning a silver cord running from the center of the earth to the root chakra, then envisioning each chakra opening and clearing in turn: red root, orange sacral, yellow solar plexus, green heart, blue throat, indigo/purple third eye, and white crown.
5.  I revisit the top four chakras in particular, making sure they are as clear and strong as possible.  I expand my heart chakra as far as it will go. I envision my heart energy expanding to fill my aura, then the room, the house, the neighborhood, the city, the country, the globe, the galaxy, and finally, the universe. As I begin each visualization, I affirm “I expand my heart” three times. Then, I go through the top three chakras, “I open my throat,” ”I open my third eye,” “I open my crown.” I keep going until I feel ready.
6. I affirm out loud: “I raise my temple, I raise my temple, I raise my temple,” while envisioning four pillars rising up around me. Then, I envision the four elements on each side of the temple. First, a wild wind blows from the East. Then, earth manifests in the North, growing upwards from the ground in the form of a field through which the wind blows. Then, a fire from the South burns the field. Then, water from the West puts out the fire. The field grows again out of the wet ashes, in the light of a fiery sun. I breathe each element in deeply, filling my aura with their energies.
5. I call on my guardian angels and gatekeepers to secure my energetic temple and let in only those energies or intelligences that are specifically invited, who have the best interests of all creation at heart. Which form of spiritual guardian you work with is up to you, but having gatekeepers, or “spiritual bouncers,” is very important when doing any kind of mediumistic work. As you meditate on a regular basis with the intention of eventually connecting with your spirit guides, you will attune yourself to these spiritual allies.
6. I thank Source for giving me the gift of spiritual communion as well as any tools I am using that day, say my “Light-worker’s Prayer,” wish enlightenment and happiness for all beings, and invite my guides to come close. Then, I proceed with any other spiritual work I have planned for the session.
7. When I am done, I envision a door opening to Heaven, thank my guides and guardians, offer to cross over any earth-bound energies lingering around me, and send everyone off with as much love, gratitude and well-wishes as I can muster. I close the door and ground all the energy I have raised.
In my next post, I will share a much quicker preparatory meditation I use to ground and open the energy body when performing energy healing work. With practice, it can be done in seconds, like a flipping a switch that shifts your consciousness. (The concept of guardians is not quite as important when performing energy work, but you may find your guides and angels participating nonetheless.)
How do you help your energy body grow strong and keep up a meditation practice? How do you prepare for a reading? Think about ways in which you can enhance your daily engagement with spirit and your higher self.

Regarding Love
I sometimes have a queer feeling with regard to you - especially when you are near me, as now: it is as if I had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly and inextricably knotted to a similar string situated in the corresponding quarter of your little frame. And if that boisterous channel, and two hundred miles or so of land some broad between us, I am afraid that cord of communion will be snapt; and then I've a nervous notion I should take to bleeding inwardly.  ― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
----
I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun. ― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
----
Doubt that the stars are fire, Doubt that the sun doth move his aides, Doubt truth to be a liar, But never doubt I love - William Shakespeare, Hamlet
----
True love's the gift which God has given To man alone beneath the Heaven. It is not Fantasy's hot fire, Whose wishes, soon as granted, fly; It liveth not in fierce desire , With dead desire it dock not die : It is the secret sympathy, The silver link, the silken tie, Which heart to heart and mind to mind, In body and in soul can bind. - Sir Walter Scott, The Lay of the Last Minstrel
