Oh, thank you! I haven't given these boys too much thought recently, but I do love them!

1. Who fell for the other one first?

Ryou falls first for Joey, then Duke falls for Ryou, then Joey falls for Duke. Each with their own amorous agenda, they agree to go to hang out at the arcade together, "as friends." They go to the diner across the street to get food, the waitress makes a comment about "what a cute couple" they are, and all three of them say "thanks!" then blush and crack up laughing. Duke puts the pieces together first of What's Going On Here (Joey and Ryou are too embarrassed in the moment, but his brain doesn't slow down).

Oops, I gave myself a fanfic idea.

19. Would they ever lie to each other? Why or why not?

Duke will lie for the sake of keeping a surprise a secret. Joey's probably the most guilty of little white lies. Ryou lies the most by omission, but that's about it for him.

All of this is coming from a place of "everyone lies a little bit sometimes" and that doesn't make you a bad person.

29. Do they like public display of affection?

Duke is shameless, so yes. Ryou gets embarrassed by it but won't ask them to stop, because he does secretly love the attention. Joey does it without thinking, because he's so impulsive. If he gets called out on it, he doubles down. He just had an arm around Ryou's shoulders before, now he's squeezing him in a bear-hug, Duke is grinning until he gets looped into it, then he starts to laugh.

32. How do they comfort each other?

Lots of cuddles, but that's something I will almost always say because I was a touch-starved kid. Duke and Joey are both great at pep talks, depending on the issue, and Ryou is great at providing a destressing distraction. "You don't want to talk about it? Okay, we don't have to talk about it. Let's do this instead." Ryou and Duke are really good listeners too.

43. Do they fight a lot?

Ryou gets along well with everyone, but Joey and Duke do bicker a little bit sometimes. It's almost never over anything big, and there's usually no hurt feelings.

Usually.

BUT.

If they're both having bad days, and maybe Joey's already had to deal with some jerks, he might bring up the Dog Suit Incident to Duke and that will cause an absolute blowup. Ryou tries to make sure that never, ever happens, because that is a Worst Case Scenario.

Skim-reading the In the Beginning novelisation for inspo for John/Delenn multi-chapters, and I am left with these exciting realisations:

John meets Anna for the first time during the war and feels...nothing. Literally, it’s repeatedly stated that he felt no spark. And as we know:

Anna’s picture during the Black Star incident was given to him by Lizzie; they’re not dating (and he doesn’t have a lot of interest in dating her at this point). However, the picture becomes sort of a talisman.

John and Anna date during the war. John, the romantic that he is, proposes as soon as the war is over. Again: little time to spend as an actual couple; even their courtship was short visits and messages. No wonder they thought their marriage was healthy and successful. (John, I now ship you with copious amounts of therapy). 

Delenn met John for the first time after the death of her friend, during a war, looking like he had been dragged through a hedge backward, and still found him hot. 

I get it.
