‘You can’t be here, hey,’ Haley said, after she closed the door. ‘What were you thinking? Even I know that was fucked up!’ Alex didn’t hear Sebastian’s reply, but he must have given one. Maybe he was giving a long one, because Alex didn’t hear Haley’s voice for a while. ‘Seb, you’ve got to use your brain sometimes,’ Haley said, sounding disappointed and angry at the same time. ‘How did you think that would look?’ And then more silence. Alex stopped trying to listen out for something that would make sense. Haley hadn’t left yet, and Alex stretched his bent legs out and stood shakily. His breathing was still off kilter, but it wasn’t as bad as before. He tossed his pillow onto his bed and rubbed at his wet, sweaty face. Even his hair was sweaty. He grabbed a tissue and wiped at his nose, sniffed hesitantly a few times, and wished he didn’t have to go out there, but he couldn’t leave Haley running interference for him like this. He opened the door and heard nothing at all. He saw Haley leaning against the lounge doorway, and she sighed when she saw him. ‘I’m fine,’ he said in response. He heard his voice and winced. ‘Just didn’t expect it.’ ‘No one did. Sebastian thought he’d save the day and did not land the execution. Like, my dude,’ Haley said, turning to him. ‘My dude, seriously?’

I think for me, Sebastian’s appeal comes from his potential for really interesting character development. There are multiple layers to his personality, and uncovering all of them takes patience. He’s shy and closed off, introspective, a little melodramatic, bitter from growing up as his step-father’s least favorite child, gentle and compassionate, smart and analytical, but also a bit cynical. He’s got a lot of stuff going on personality-wise that makes him intriguing. 

Meanwhile, Harvey’s appeal comes entirely from the fact that he’s just a Very Normal Guy, with Normal Guy problems, who needs a spouse who can provide for his Very Normal Needs; primarily Food, Encouragement, and Cuddles. No surprises here, just a simple man who loves airplanes and medicine and his Very Not-Normal wife.

It was wrong of you to think their reaction would've been anything else. Since the day you shifted, they were attracted to you. It wasn't even in the plan, your script was written in another way, and yet they broke out of the 'code', one could say. The walls that they built around themself to protect them from the cruelty of the world was broken, all because you decided to pay attention to them, spend time with them. And their mind, now clouded with you and thoughts of you, tickly covered by ignorance, could not stand the mere thought of you being gone. Why? Because you had a family waiting for you? Friends?

WELL WHAT ABOUT THEM?!

Did you not care about them? Was it all an act to gain a sick pleasure of experiencing something new?! Was that all this was to you? A MERE GAME?

And now you had the audacity to stay silent despite their screaming, their voice of fear. Fear of losing yet another person they loved, another person they could rely on and trust. It all sounded cliché and daft, and yet true in their head.

"It was all a game to you, wasn't it?"

But it wasn't. You were merely scared of getting too attached.

Friday night, and Alex was contemplating lunch at around midnight when he heard a knock on the door. He knew it would be Sebastian, even as he opened it. Sebastian's almost-black eyes gleamed in the faint orangey light cast by the saloon and the streetlights. Alex could hear Sam and Abigail laughing together in the distance, and realised they must've all been at the Stardrop Saloon together, drinking, because Alex could smell the beer. i can’t believe i have to go to work. on sims 4 horse ranch release day

#i’ve been playing it all day like literally since 10 when it dropped #BUT NOW. i have to go into work 6:30pm to 10:30 pm =_= #like it’s a short shift but i’d so much rather stay here and listen to music and #CONTINUE WORKING ON COURTNEY’S RANCH BECAUSE 😮‍💨 #it’s a 64x64 lot and i’m putting a horse stable and at least one cow and goats and sheep and chickens and crops #essentially recreating his sdv ranch + house on the sims 4 but BETTER #oh and a shed. don’t forget the shed #i love that i can do that because SDV is fun but i’ve done a playthrough and 1/2 of courtney now and….it’s getting…..redundant #probably because i’m playing it the exact same way i did prior but i digress #NOW I CAN REIMAGINE MY PRECIOUS COURTNEY AND HIS LIL COWBOY LIFE IN THIS FORMAT AND #AUGH.
