no surprises - toji x reader
wc 1.6k - hitman!toji x mobwife!reader, fem!reader, strangers to lovers -dark elements (but not really related to sex -- toji breaks into reader's house to assassinate mob husband), cheating (technically -- reader's husband is a piece of shit lol)
nsfw, mdni
Tumblr media
Toji hates it when his hits have wives or girlfriends.
As cruel a bastard as he may be, the thought of unnecessary collateral makes him uneasy to say the least. It's messy, too, unnecessary and uncomfortable. When one of his targets has a wife there's a sure guarantee she'll be by his side more often than not. It increases the risk for all parties, whether they know of their involvement or not.
He wonders why these men never have the decency to get a divorce before involving themselves in shit like this.
And so, as he carefully picks the lock to your kitchen window, he hopes that tonight's job is clean. That you'll stay out of his way.
Kill the guy, clean up, and ideally, get out without even waking you.
So imagine his surprise when he makes his way inside as planned, turns down the hallway to get to the bedroom he's so carefully mapped this past week, only to find you standing pyjama-clad in the hallway with arms crossed, looking at him with an expression one could only describe as inconvenienced.
"He's not here," you mumble, the words laced with sleep but still pointed.
Toji prides himself on being quick on his feet, but in this rare instance, he's lost for words. He doesn't even draw his weapon.
"Uh ... hm ... what?" he finally decides, though the words leave him without much active decision-making on his part, spilling out into the cold night air.
"He's not here," you repeat, enunciating each word slowly. "Did you not hear me? Though that would explain why you made such a fucking racket breaking in."
"What the fuck-"
"And you're replacing that lock, by the way," you spit, eyes heated with frustration as you give him a once over. "I heard you give up and break it."
Toji's head could explode right here and now. How has this ... this cannot be happening ... he's carried out hits numbering in the three digits, and not one target has ever seen him coming, much less the wife of some low-ranking gangster who stole the wrong amount of money from the wrong people.
Still, you don't shy away from him, keeping your gaze fixed on his increasingly confused face.
"What do ya mean he isn't here?" Toji huffs then, finally realising the futility of this situation. Standing there stupidly isn't going to improve his image, he needs to cut to the chase. "Is he out?"
You huff a laugh. "You could say that."
He arches a scarred brow. "He's dead?"
"May as well be," you answer plainly, devoid of any sympathy or grief. "Kicked him out on Sunday. Tried to steal my engagement ring and then went after my parents, mumbling some shit about collecting their life insurance policy even though the idiot isn't even named on it. So I made a call and the name of his hotel is with your bosses now."
"Then why didn't they--"
You roll your eyes, exasperated. "How should I know? They probably sent some other guys to the hotel and kept you here in case that worm came wriggling back."
Toji's not sure why, but he believes you -- probably because of the unafraid, unemotional manner in which you're delivering this information. As though you're a teacher scolding him for a failed assignment.
He releases his grip on the weapon tucked at his hip -- he doesn't even remember at which point he went to grab it -- silently swearing at a wasted evening.
Sure, he'll still get the flat rate for a call-out like this one, but if he has proof of death he gets triple pay. He could really use that this month; he likes having his lights stay on for longer than forty-eight hours at a time, and figured tonight would've been an easy job, particularly with how stupidly your husband has been acting these last few months.
"Uh ... okay. Sorry for inconveniencin' ya," he mumbles, figuring it best to leave now without wasting either of your time any further.
He could stay here and argue more, but he's not in the mood. He needs to get back. Plus, he's already disrupted your night enough -- as curtly as you've addressed him these past few minutes, he can't say he doesn't see where your frustration is coming from.
In this short interaction, he's developed a sort of begrudging respect for this woman who views an assassination attempt in the same way most would view a parking ticket.
"Wait!" you call out just as he turns around. He hesitates -- though you don't seem like the type to call the police given your knowledge of your husband's business.
Maybe you're not finished giving him shit for this embarrassment of a botched assignment?
"Yeah?" he answers dutifully, brushing his hair from his eyes with a tired swipe of his hand, turning back to face you.
"Want to have a drink with me?" you ask straight-forwardly, arms still crossed and expression unmoving. "He left his 20-year whiskey behind, and I haven't had new company since he weaselled his way into my life."
"I-"
"If you've nothing better to do, anyway."
This woman ...
He has never had as difficult a time reading someone in his entire lie.
"Well?" you press, a hint of impatience growing in that beautiful voice. "What do you want to do?"
Surprise once against takes precedence over any other emotion in Toji's body.
Tonight couldn't get any weirder. He's sure of it.
Except it definitely can, as he discovers just thirty minutes later, with you sitting atop him as he's spread out on your bed, riding him so hard the bed rattles against the wall.
This is a little fucked up. You both know it. He came here to kill your husband, but it's so hard for him to care about minor details like that when he sees how your tits bounce with every thrust upwards, how your face looks when it's torn in pleasure.
Your husband is a bigger idiot than he thought.
You haven't been touched like this in a long time, haven't had someone's hands on you like you deserve, and that thought enrages him for some reason.
His focus for tonight has shifted entirely. He's no longer out to kill, to hurt, his one responsibility is to make you cry out on his cock, on his tongue, on his fingers, until both of your voices are worn out and hoarse.
You're so pretty like this, so responsive to every twirl of his thumb and jerk of his hips.
Though -- and he hates to admit it -- you're exerting some control over him as well. His well-worn self-discipline is being tested like never before. On your couch just a few minutes ago, with his mouth spread against you and your leg tossed over his shoulder, you had managed to then manoeuvre yourself until your fist was wrapped around his cock, your pretty fingers stroking him until his breaths sounded choked and desperate, until a flush spread up his chest to his neck and jawline.
He had to still your wrist to keep from coming all over his own chest. That would lose him any shred of credibility he had left.
He's obsessed with the way you kiss him, too, so hungry and desperate with no sign of that earlier unshakability you possessed. He's sure you still have yourself in some semblance of control -- though he barely knows you, he knows you wouldn't relent that quickly -- but you release yourself a little, sinking into it with a quiet moan that sends ripples up his spine.
And now, with your hips sitting flush against his own, it's hard to imagine caring about a single other thing than the sight of his cock disappearing inside you.
You take him so well, every inch of him, knowing exactly what to say to drive him insane. In turn, he learns what he can from your reactions, each microexpression showing him how you like to be touched.
You toss your head back, that beautiful throat gulping down gasps of air in between cries of Toji's name, shoulders tight with the tension of keeping yourself seated on him.
He gives you more when you ask for it, pumping up into you and relishing the answering groans and mewls of pleasure.
(Honestly, he'd give you anything you wanted from him. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you requested it with those pretty doe eyes and your lips curled into that sly little smile.)
A familiar heat curls in his stomach but in a way he's entirely unfamiliar with; usually, it builds slowly and reliably, bit by bit, but this time it rises erratically and without any sign of when he's approaching the edge.
This is dangerous. You're dangerous for him, you have him in the palm of your hand and hold the ability to crush him into tiny pieces if you so wish. It scares him while also sending pulses of pleasure straight to his cock, coupled with the feeling of your throbbing clit as he circles it with his thumb --
Thankfully, you fall apart at the same time, spasms of pleasure overtaking every single thought in either of your heads.
As you settle into the afterglow, Toji is in no rush to move you or shift himself. He runs a roughened hand over your thigh, the skin smooth as silk, marvelling at how you shiver under the touch.
He just looks up at you, that hint of confusion from earlier still present but accompanied by something else.
Strange, he thinks to himself. Not a wasted evening after all.

Imagine if you finally give into Leon and give him that other baby he’s been nagging at you for…🤭
You’d both announce it to your little girl by surprising her with a shirt that says ‘Big sister!’ Or something like that, and she’s very much start crying as soon as you two tell her what it says and means.
She’d quite literally start sobbing and throwing a tantrum, saying that ‘Daddy’s gonna forget about me!’ ‘Daddy’s gonna love the baby more than me!’ Or ‘The baby’s gonna take daddy from me!’ Sometimes along those lines. You couldn’t help but laugh, reassuring her that this baby didn’t mean that she’d be forgotten or less loved.
As the months flew by, your little girl would definitely fall asleep against your bump, saying it was ‘to listen to her heartbeat.’ Because yes, the two of you are having another little princess.
Leon would come home after a mission, seeing the two of you on the couch, taking a little nap together. Head against your belly, patting your little girls back as she slept. How cute.
- Anon! 🎀
🎀anon you beautiful fuck I love you so much!
(Just for future reference I'll be calling these baby girls Violetta 'Violet' (oldest) and Cecilia (youngest).
Violet's upset hearing the news. Inconsolable at first, even threatens to runaway to her Uncle Chris's house to go live with him, his wife (aunt) and her 3 cousins (2 girls and 1 boy). But then she finds out that since she'll be getting a baby sister they need space in her room for the baby so they end up turning the basement into a giant playroom and suddenly this baby is the greatest thing to happen to her.
Ofc, she'll warm up to the baby. Cuddle up to her mommy when daddy's away, promising him to look after her because she knows how daddy gets when he's away from home and her. She can only imagine what he's thinking leaving her, mommy and a baby in her belly!
Immediately starts trying to take Leon's responsibilities. Even if he's only gone for a week Violet's doing daddy's job. Dishes, taking care of the yard (poorly but at least she tried) watering the plants. You wouldn't let her do any repairs and that upset her but she got over it pretty fast. But you didn't realize how often she actually paid attention to Leon's mannerisms until there was a storm coming while he's away. You call for her in the house. Violet doesn't respond...
You start panicking thinking maybe she went outside and then you open the front door. You see her standing on the porch staring out at the dark clouds. Hands on her hips... just like Leon does when he's thinking.
"'Bout a couple miles out." She has no idea wtf that means, but daddy says it every time so she does. You end up taking a picture of her staring out at the clouds from the front door and send it to your husband captioned 'Come get your child 🙄'
Every night he's gone though you two cuddle and end up sleeping in the big bed while Violet reads her books to the baby. Even watching movies together.
Leon ends up coming home a day early and walks in after dinner to find you and Violet curled up on the couch. Her little head on your belly. Leon just smiles, moving to curl up to you on the open side after giving Violet a kiss on the head. He puts his head on your shoulder and hand on your belly and feels the baby kick against his hand.
He's exhausted but so happy to be home. And he gets to come home to this everytime he leaves...

Now, we put Taniyah and Changbin together because they're both so joyous and see the brighter things in life. They've got these exuberant personalities where we think when they collide, the connection between them will be magical. Also they each have qualities that the other seek out. I can't wait to see how this one goes.
Taniyah sat in front of the vanity mirror, practically buzzing in excitement as she was ready to walk down that aisle.
"Girl, would you quit moving? I can't get the hair right if you're bouncing off the walls," Angie sighed fondly, popping a hip as she placed down her tub of gel. She had been best friends with Taniyah since they met in kindergarten, their dynamic never changing of older sister and younger sister even now, despite the two of them being the same age.
"Ang, I'm too excited, I'm going to meet my husband today! Gimme a break," Taniyah leant back, hands gripping the arms of the chair she sat in, trying to contain herself.
"I'll give you a break when you relax. Have you called up your mom yet?" Angie asked outright, gently smoothing gel over Taniyah's edges, getting the waves smoothed down and set in place perfectly.
Taniyah teared up, knowing that her family regrettably couldn't fly out to come and see her get married. They were incredibly supportive, after getting over the fact they thought it was stupid, but still, they were just happy to know their precious family member was getting married. It was all she had wanted.

"Ahh eomma! My hair is fine this way!" Changbin huffed with a pout, his mother tutting as she tried to brush his hair to the side.
"Yah Changbin! You've got to show your wife who you really are! Let her see your forehead, you cannot hide anything when you first meet!" she grabbed the hairspray, grinning and folding her arms with an approving nod as she took a step away from her protesting son.
"That's like telling me to be naked when I walk the aisle!" Changbin threw his arms up dramatically, yet he couldn't complain. His mum had done a good job with his hair, and seeing her smile caused his to reflect herself beautifully.
"Don't be silly my son! That's not the same thing and you know it!" his mother laughed, waving him off.
"I'll be a good husband, right, eomma?" Changbin stood up, brushing down his shirt and suit blazer.
"Of course, Binnie, your wife will be very lucky," his mother brought him into a bone crushing hug, even though she was much smaller in comparison to his broader muscular stature.

This is our Yin and Yang of the series! Felix seems to be quite self-assured and quietly confideng, whereas Tanaka is still trying to understand herself and that shines through quite clearly through her dark yet serious humour sometimes. Putting the two of them together will create a real balance, a semblance of sweet chaos when they meet. This is going to be good.
"Ah, look at our mago," Tanaka's grandfather smiled proudly, hands intertwined with his wife.
"So beautiful, she'll be a great wife to her husband. Who would have thought it? A wedding on TV..." her grandmother chuckled.
"Sobo... is that really the part you're most surprised about? Not the fact that it's a stranger? I could get kidnapped, you know," Tanaka turned around after making sure her gorgeous koi fish hair piece was secured into her hair. She wanted to show a piece of her life through how she looked, and with her job at the aquarium this was the first thing that came into her head.
"Don't be silly, mago, your sobo and I got married after a month of knowing each other," her grandfather said nonchalantly.
"Really? For real? That's... Ok well I guess this is nothing really," Tanaka took a seat across from her grandparents who had insisted on having time with their granddaughter before she got married, kicking her parents out of the dressing room provided. Her slightly scared expression was stuck on her face.
"Ahh, mago, you'll be fine. I'm sure your husband will all you've ever dreamed of."

"I hope the cake arrived ok! I boxed it up last night! Dad should be bringing it now, right?" Felix chewed on his nails as he paced the separate room provided for his family and himself.
"You know, most grooms are worrying about their vows or in this case what their wife is going to be like," Olivia pointed out, looking up from her phone as her older brother practically left his footprints embedded into the wooden floors as he walked. Rachel, Felix's older sister, and his mother laughed at what the youngest said.
"But if she doesn't like the cake then... I don't know... It'll be a bit awkward, no?" Felix paused, genuinely wanting reassurance.
"God forbid she doesn't like your brownies-"
"Oh gosh that's even worse!" Felix cut off Rachel with wide eyes.
"Ok, ok, girls leave him alone. Felix, honey, you'll be fine. And if she doesn't like your cake then there's more to go around for us. There'll be plenty of other things for you to talk about too," his mother hid her laughter caused by her daughters' teasing to reassure her son.
"Yeah, ok, yeah, you're right," Felix nodded to himself and his sunshine smile was back instantly.

A stunning villa, a blinding white colour due to how intensely the sun was shining down on the venue Taniyah and Changbin were due to marry in. Rose bushes outlined the entrance making it not only look beautifully unreal, but smell amazing as well. On the inside the roses continued, however they were in different colours this time, fuchsia, maroon, red, pink, all representing the love that was due to blossom between the anticipated couple.
Changbin was first to enter the building, grinning nervously and bashfully looking down as all the guests turned to look at him. He was incredibly happy to see his family and have them by his side as he walked up the royal blue carpet to take his place by the priest. He stood up straight, chest puffed out and shown off in the form fitting white shirt concealed slightly by his black tuxedo.
When Taniyah entered, the big skirt of her poofy white wedding dress sweeping around the corner, of course, the only thing on her mind was seeing her husband. But, to her shock, her eyes landed on her mother, her father, and her two older brothers, along with even more family members. They made it? They must have tricked her when they said they couldn't come.
"You made it," her voice wobbled as she looked to the ceiling, golden chandeliers hung down from the textured ceiling. In her best effort to calm her friend, Angie, who was by her side, whispered in her ear.
"T, I know you're happy your family are here but girl, your about-to-be husband is looking like a snack."
And that snapped Taniyah out of her emotional state as she sniffled and waved at her family before taking a deep breath and letting her eyes lay upon Changbin. Once she reached him, stood opposite to where he was, she couldn't help but clutch his hands and stare into his amber eyes which his hair matched.
"Ain't no way," Taniyah giggled, mesmerised by the handsome man in front of her. And the muscles... Nope don't go there. Let's keep this wedding day wholesome.
"You could throw me about and I'd say thank you," Taniyah gazed almost deliriously at Changbin, and to her horror, she realised she said it out loud. "Oh, gosh, I'm sorry-"
"Oh my," Changbin giggled shyly, looking off to the side before meeting her eyes again. The ethereal chocolatey eyes twinkling back at him, perfect curls rested upon her head that bounced with each movement.
"I think we'll get along just fine," Changbin winked. Taniyah let out a laugh and her shoulders shook as she did so. Their families could only watch on in amusement.

A beach wedding? Felix certainly didn't expect it, but he couldn't deny how peaceful and bright the setting was. Plus he thought it was funny watching his sisters, who teased him earlier, were frowning as they stumbled across the sand to take their seats. White deck chairs lined up just as church pews would have been, and wooden decking for him to walk down with the calming sounds of the waves crashing filling his mind. So by the time he stood at the end of the aisle, ready to meet his wife, he was fidgeting excitedly, waving in particular at the older couple who sat on the side of his wife.
Speaking of, as soon as Tanaka rounded the corner, oh, it was game over for Felix. The way her long black hair was crimped, the waves making him even more about the location they were in. He knew he'd forever remember this day, but wow, it was perfect. She was perfect. The way her white gown trailed behind her and hugged her figure.
Tanaka hadn't even noticed Felix yet. She wanted to, really, she wanted to know what her husband looked like. However, she was more focused on trying not to trip over her dress and when her heel got stuck in the wooden grooves, right at the top of the aisle, cutely adorned with sea shells, she huffed and took her shoes off.
"Mago..." her grandmother whispered hurriedly, wanting her grandchild to make a good first impression. Tanaka just tilted her and waved at her before turning to Felix, and let herself freeze. He was the sun. Bright, warming, inviting. The way the actual sun shone down on his black hair and brought to life his intriguingly green suit made him that more charming.
"Oh look, we're the same height now, hehe," Felix laughed lightly with a large smile, breaking Tanaka out of her trance.
"I don't know, I think I'm still a bit taller," Tanaka stood a bit closer, a small smile on her face too as she noted the deep timbre of her husband's, yes, her husband's, voice.

You may now kiss the bride.
The first kiss between Taniyah and Changbin was instant passion, perhaps over the top to some, but they already had that flirty connection between them both. On the other hand, Felix and Tanaka's first kiss was short, mainly because the woman got distracted by the heavenly looking cake that was beside them. Felix didn't mind, he was ecstatic, actually.

Demon Bride Ch51 Urogi Earns A Day Out
(Warnings: Karaku IS his own warning. Possibly some innuendos. Urogi hits his head flying into the ceiling but he's ok.  WARNING!!!: Sakura was going to give Karaku a love potion but he's ok and nothing else happened, she didn't even get a chance to try to but this warning is important just in case.
Get ready for Urogi to act like a birb.
Important Edit: I ask everyone to have patience for future chapters since some irl things are taking place. At the same time I am working on a second story and two oneshots for other fandoms I enjoy. Thank you all for reading this and continuing to read my works. Hopefully things will straighten back to they're usual pace soon.)
Tumblr media
"I think she might be too young to train. It seems like all she's doing for now is eating and sleeping like a young puppy."
"When can she play?"
"Not until she's a few months older. Don't worry about it. Just take care of her the way Sekido told you to and she'll be fine...Minus the training bit for now."
It was certainly a  surprise for you to see Rui and Sekido not only get along for a little while but actually talk. Well...Sekido mostly talked at Rui while he played with his many toys and the sleepy puppy. Sekido went as far as to assign a specific servant to care for said puppy. It was nice to not have them fight and not be at each other's throats. But that was last night. Now it was morning and Rui had to go back to school. You caught him trying to sneak out both the puppy and a few of the toys he gotten. You took them from him, he threw a small fit, and eventually he then left pouting  without them all leaving you alone. Well except for the puppy. Arachnid Rui called he if you remembered right. She just flopped over in a random part of the room and went back to sleep. Leaving you to just do whatever it was you usually did.  Read. So there you were reading a book Aizetsu recommended you, some kind of murder mystery thing.
"The murderer is either the Stepmother-in-law or the farm hand since they're the only ones with motives. Unless they worked together then it'd be both of them," you spoke to no one in particular, "It could be the Husband but he really loved his wife despite her affair and he doesn't know about the death yet... Unless he hired someone to murder her! It's possible. I wonder if Kyogai wrote anything like this before."
No one answered you obviously. No one was there except for you, the puppy, and the lilies Sekido shoved into your hands the other day. It was silent except for you talking to yourself and the sounds of you turning the pages whenever you finished reading one. You just sat there and kept reading the book as time slowly began to stretch onwards. Until there was a very familiar sound at your door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!
You looked up slightly annoyed from your book and stared at the door as more knocking continued from the other side. Great. Who could that be now? Still couldn't be Douma. He would've blabbered talking by now...Sigh. It was probably one of the brothers again. You groaned before placing your book to the side and standing up to head to the door. More knocking louder this time.
"Alright! Alright! I'm coming!" You grabbed the door and pulled it open. "What do you-..." You blinked. Pausing as no one was there. "...want?"
No one was there? You blinked again before shaking your head and leaning your head out to look up and down the halls. No one was there. Not even a servant. The perfectly polished halls stood empty and devoid of all life. That was... strange. You could've SWORN you heard someone knocking. You know you did. Was this a joke? You would've heard someone run away from the door if they did. Unless they could float or turn invisible. Was there a ghost running around? Was the dwell haunted?! ...Or maybe it was just your ears playing tricks on you after you've been bothered so MANY times? You sighed and was about to close the door when something suddenly dropped from the ceiling in a blur of black and brown feathers
"HI!"
"AHHH!!"
You shrieked as a face suddenly appeared in front of your face and scared you into screaming at the top of your lungs and stumbling back tripping over yourself and falling onto your behind panting and staring wide eyed at a- ... Laughing face?? What? You blinked panting as loud laughter filled the air and you stared at a figured hanging upside down, holding his sides, and laughing wildly at you. It took you a few seconds to register who exactly it was but then you scowled.
"UROGI!! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"The harpy brother of the quadruplets was there hanging upside down like a bat laughing his head off at you. Urogi of you remembered correctly. You immediately stood up and marched up to him. "I ought to kick your ass!"
"HAHAHAHA!! You should've seen your face!," Urogi cackled pointing a talon at your face as you rose a brow and looked up. "I made you jump so high!"
"Uh huh." So that's how he did it. He was clinging to one of the wooden beams above you both by his feet talons. Your hand was held up and your own claws reached out. "It's just too bad you're so low." With that you harshly pinched your claws into his left bird leg.
"YEOWCH!! AH!!" He lost his footing and down he fell in a heap of feathers with a loud thud. "OOF!!"
You didn't give him another chance to speak before the door was closed in his face. Urogi cursed indignantly before scrambling up and opening your door to walk in and meet your annoyed, cross armed, and frowning face. You watched him ruffle his feathers and shake a bit before looking at you again with a big smile.
"That's no way to treat your date is it?"
"No it isn't! And you're not getting one for that stupid stunt you pulled!" You glared at him as he suddenly froze mouth open. "If that's your way of asking a lady out for a date then I'd hate to see how you'd ask for anything else! Now get out!"
"What?! N-N-NO! WAIT!" You turned your back to him only to hear a few panicked flapping of wings before he popped up again to your side smiling nervously. "Look! Sorry I scared you! I-I was only trying to make a funny joke!"
"Well I didn't find it funny at all!" You again turned away and again he followed looking nervous to pop up in your view.
"Ok! You don't like being scared! I get that now! But don't hold it over my head! Let's go out and have fun! " you have him a glare and again turned away and he followed you holding up his hands. "I'll make it up to you! We can go wherever you want! How about the green houses? Or a dress shop?! Girls like that right?!"
You hummed.. before looking at him raising a brow. "I don't know if I want to go out since Sekido was nice enough to do that with me just yesterday. Why are you here anyways?"
"It's my turn to court ya! My old man said so! He didn't say when I had to come over, so the sooner the better right?"
You still narrowed your eyes at him. "Uh huh...And you want to earn a chance with me?"
"Aw. C'mon, Dove!" He smiled wider in an almost pleading way. "I already said I was sorry! A-And I promise to make it up to you! Anything you want!"
You huffed rolling your eyes. "How about taking me outside so I can see the sun for once?"
"DEAL!" You blinked and stared at him as he smiled brightly and nodded. "I needed to stretch my wings anyways! Do you know how hard it is to fly in a place that at any moment a whole house can appear in front of you? So this is a good idea for both of us!"
"Wha-..." You shook your head before pointing at him. "Hang on. Really?!" He happily nodded. "No. Seriously. You're not just telling me that and then twisting my words later?"
"Nah! I'm getting bored just staying inside this place anyways. It's boring and I can't move around how I want. My back is starting to hurt from dragging my wings around and my feet hurt from walking around so much." He held up one of his feet and made grabbing motions to get his point across. "It'd be nice to get out again!"
You could..go out? As in outside OUTSIDE!? AS IN NOT INSIDE THE INFINITY CASTLE?! You eyes widened at the possibility of that. Purple eyes looked Urogi up and down cautiously. The last time you were out was with Enmu and he purposely didn't let you know a way out so you couldn't leave whenever you want. But...If Urogi could show you a way out and you could remember it..You could possibly have a way out! That could be an escape way for you and Rui! But it all depends on how you play your cards with Urogi. He could end up with the jack of cards for fooling around too much but if you messed up then you'd just be handing over a full house of aces into his awaiting talons. These demons were a LOT smarter than they looked. You learnt that the hard way from Douma. Urogi may be an arrogant demon that liked to play around but that didn't make him stupid. You had to approach this very carefully and cleverly.
With a calm sigh, you looked back to Urogi's hopeful grin and nodded. "Alright. I accept your apology and you've earnt a day with me." You then pointed at him sternly. "BUT there better NOT be anymore jokes like that! I don't like being scared and next time I might throw a punch instead of running away. I'd rather not hurt anyone if I can avoid it. Got it?"
He nodded eagerly. "DONE! Where do you wanna go outside?! Human settlement? Woods? Maybe the Coast-..Uh..Yeah. Maybe not anywhere near water. But I can definitely take you for a fun time!"
Well he seemed very energetic didn't he? "Anywhere would be fine. Although somewhere nice and bright would be a nice start."
"Woods it is then! There's so much to do there! Hunting, fishing, finding small crystals in caves- HEY! I KNOW THIS GIANT FIELD WITH LOTS OF FLOWERS AND STUFF!! YOU'D LOVE IT!! SOMETIMES THERE'S OTHERS THAT SELLS STUFF THERE!!"
"Why would someone set up shop in a random field I'm the middle of the woods?"
"Sometimes it's a hot spot for travelers or just used for giant meetings to sell useless stuff nobody wants! But you'll like it definitely! You wanna go now!?" He lit up brightly. "We can go now!"
You nodded making a mental note to remember which way Urogi brought you outside for later. "Alright then. Now." You gestured to him. "Lead the way."
He smiled and grabbed your arms pulling you after him Towards your door as his wings spread out and up enough to block the view of the door completely before he stopped. One of his clawed feet slid open the door and he proceeded to pull you out. Before completely dropping his wings.
You completely froze.....You blinked.
Lush green brush surrounded you both as the sounds of birds and wind and forest ambience hit your senses all at once. Tall trees swayed in the wind. Grass felt soft under your feet. REAL sunlight gleamed down everywhere and you stared... Before whipping around only to discover that the doorway and entire room was gone and replaced by BEAUTIFUL lush forest. You just stared before slowly looking at Urogi who only giggled at the sight.
"Ok. HOW did you do that ?!"
"Simple! I bugged Nakime to open a doorway for me once I entered your room! That way we could just go where we needed! I also made her promise to teleport us both back when it hit one in the afternoon! I also promised Sekido I'd spend time with Zoha today! Why not split the day in half?"
You opened your mouth...but closed it. Nakime. Of COURSE that's how Urogi did it. Akaza mentioned that she could teleport the Kizuki around. "...You did that for the sole purpose that I wouldn't know the way out.. Didn't you?"
Urogi's smile turned to a face of shock for a split second before smiling widely again. Can't tell her Muzan have strict orders to Keep an eye on her. "Haha!...Heh. It's a pretty day isn't it?"
"You're making it very obvious that it's a yes, and I'll be talking about it later with Ms. Rei." Urogi  felt his eyes get smaller in worry before you then looked around. You two were in the middle of the woods alright. You slowly breathed in the air holding your arms up to stretch. Everything smelt so...fresh. And it felt so..OPEN AND FREE. "Which way is the field?"
That way three miles by flying." He pointed to the left with a smile. "Let me carry you!" He reached out his sharp hands to you but paused when you immediately stepped away.
"No thanks. I think you've flown me quite enough."
"What? But flyings the best part!," He insisted holding out his wings. "It'll take too much time just walking there and Nakime might teleport us back by then!'' He whined and gave you a puppy dog eyed look.
You rolled your eyes. "I'd rather walk and get there without daring heights."
"Dare?" He blinked before suddenly gaining a thoughtful look. A hum escaped his throat and a talon tapped his chin as he smiled slyly smiled before looking at your deadpanned face. "Ok! Let's have a date! It'll be so much fun!"
"Pass."
"Just hear me out first! There's a single pine tree between here and the field one mile where I pointed." He then smirked at you pointing. "If you can run and get there before I can catch you then we'll walk the rest of the way there! If I catch you then you gotta lemme fly you there!"
"So you'll chase me down like a hawk chasing a mouse?" Your brow rose as you hummed at his excited look. "Alright. Deal. But if I win, then you have to wear a dress for the rest of the week!"
"Oooh.~ Getting bold there, Dove,~" he cooed before nodding with a few chuckles. "Alright then. But just so you know I can totally pull that off!"
"Getting ahead of yourself there?"
"Nah. I meant the dress. My hips are better fitting for it than Sekido's." You blinked as he struck a pose with one hand behind his head and the other on his hip making a ridiculous kissy face. "I'd totally fill it out."
You stared at the ridiculous sight... before a smile forced itself onto your face. "Pfft. Hahaha!!" And a bout of laughter escaped your mouth.
Urogi paused in shock. He... actually wasn't expecting you to laugh. If anything he expected you to be annoyed or brush him off but no. You were smiling and laughing. It made him pause for a moment before smiling widely.
"Yeah. Sure my wings might be a problem but you can't tell me that I wouldn't look good in it.~" He then placed both hands on his hips and sashayed a little bit aways from you.
You nearly doubled over in laughter now hugging your stomach and leaning over slightly. "Y-Y-Youre r-ridiculous!!" You spoke between rounds of laughter. This was a Kizuki demon? He was utterly ridiculous! "E-Enough! Enough! Hehehe. W-When d-did you wanna s-start?"
He smiled. Wings opening and leaning down pressing his feet in a position to launch himself. "I was thinking maybe about...NOW!!"
FWAP!!!
Two giant wings flapped down. A body launched himself right at you. All the wind left your body as something large hit you. Something strong wrapped around your body. And up you went. You SHRIEKED at the sight of the earth quickly being left behind you. A panic spoke went down your spine as branches snapped and broke from the force of Urogi's body barreling through them and leaves scattered down from the branches almost like a makeshift smoke trail. You logically did the most logical thing any calm, smart woman would do. You shrieked again, threw your arms around Urogi's neck, pulled up your legs in a curled up pose, and buried your face into his shoulder as the demon laughed.
"What's wrong?" Strong wing beats could be heard from each powerful flap his wings took. He looked amused by the sight as he held the trembling woman bridal style. "You showed no fear last time we did this."
"PUT. ME. DOWN!!" You shrieked over the wind and refusing to look up from him. He was oddly warm. "THIS IS CHEATING YOU ASSHOLE!! I WAS DISTRACTED!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!"
"I never stated when I would start! And being distracted was your own doing that you'd find me that funny." You didn't respond to him after that and he gently nudged you. "Hey. C'mon, Love bird.~ Don't give me the Silent treatment now. Just take a look at the view."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I HATE HEIGHTS!! WE'RE PROBABLY HUNDREDS OF FEET OFF THE GROUND BY NOW YOU FLYING CHICKEN!!"
"Actually, we're just above the trees. That can't be more than two stories off the ground. Look. I can still touch the leaves if I perch." You didn't answer again but slowly opened up one purple eye. Your stomach did flips feeling the strong wind whipping about you making your hair blow all around you. "Trust me. You're not gonna fall...As long as you don't pierce my throat with your foot again. ... Unless you're into that.~"
You snapped your head up in anger at him. "YOU BIRD BRAIN!! ARE YOU JUST A SECOND KARAKU?!" H smiled seeing your face. "I'm...gonna..." You stopped slowly eyes going wide.. before slowly looking down. And seeing branches and leaves so close you can touch it going by, and past it the ground fat away but much closer than you expected it to be. You slowly inhaled in and out before looking back at Urogi's smiling face. ".... You're DEAD when we land, Urogi "
He giggled and tilted his head. "I doubt that. But now that I have your attention." He nodded out to the air. "Just look at the view."
You didn't want to. You really didn't, but you did. And what you saw made your eyes widen. Purple eyes blinked against the wind until vision refocused and widened at what they saw. The world was going by in blurs. Green trees and land were essential smears as they sped through the air. The wind knocking again your skin so fast it combated the hot rays of the sun right in the big blue sky. It...reminded you a bit of the time Enmu took you on that train ride. You stared out for a moment at the admittedly pretty sight before relaxing a little and breathing a bit easier but you didn't loosen your grip even slightly on him.
"Sooo? Whatcha think?"
"I think I'm still going to kick your ass once we land. It's pretty." You narrowed your eyes at him in a way that made him gulp. "But you're still dead for pulling that stunt."
He chuckled nervously. "Ahehe. You're funny. Just wait til you actually see the place. It's a great spot for hunting rabbits."
Oh you doubted that. He still refused to let you down until you got near an opening in the tree tops and you yelped when he suddenly nose dived dove towards it. FWAP FWAP FWAP!! His wings beat against the wing making you jolt to a stop and he landed on his feet.
"Well here we are, Dove. Quiet and peaceful just like you asked."
You wriggled until he put you down and you have him a glare before looking around. It was a grassy field alright. It looked like a good five houses big and wide all around in a semi circle kinda shape smack dab surrounded by trees and other plants and there seemed to be a little pond of some kind. You looked around at the Peaceful field filled with wild flowers. It was pretty you had to admit. You only wished you brought a book to read while here.
"Well... I'll be honest and say you were right about it being beautiful. Now about that payback I owe you!" You frowned looking behind you..only to blink finding Urogi gone. "...Urogi?"
Where did he go now? Oh he better not be playing another prank on you! You'd definitely slug him this time! But ..there wasn't any place for him to hide in the field. The grass was too small and he was too big! And you would've heard him if he ran or flew into the trees. Purple eyes looked around until you saw him. Oh. There he was! He was a little bit aways from you... pulling up...grass?? And... jumping?? You blinked and just stood there watching Urogi shuffle about one specific area jumping up and down, stomping in certain areas, and grabbing large handfuls and talonfulls of grasses and nearby small bushes and twisting his head this way and that before stomping again and placing the grass and bush parts and flowers down.
"Hey, Urogi! What are you doing?!," You called out to him but he didn't respond.
Just continued to do what he was already doing. It made you raise a brow totally lost and confused... Maybe he was digging? Or dropped something and was trying to find it? After a moment you slowly walked over but stopped a few yards away from him. And blinked at what you saw. It was an almost perfect circle of grass stomped down flat and around the edges of said circle of stomped down grass was a pile of bush branches, leaves, grasses, wild flowers, and whatever else Urogi grabbed. Wow...He was fast. He did all of this in such a short amount of time too. You blinked as he hopped out of the circle and you just....stared at the thing before you..What the heck was this? Was this some kind of weird symbol in demon language or something?
Coo.
Your attention was drawn back to the demon as he finally looked at you. But you could've SWORN that you heard a dove cooing. As soon as you look at him the demon puffed out his chest and his wings splayed out poofing out his feathers and looking proudly.
You just blankly stared at him .....And slowly blinked. "Are you good?"
...He blinked. "Huh?"
"I asked if you were ok?," You said slowly raising a brow and looking between him and the weird... circle thing. "Did those branches hit you too hard on the head when you took off or something? Or maybe you hurt yourself?"
He continued to stare at you. Then at the circle thing. Then back to your confused face- FWAP!  You blinked as a gust of wind hit you as his wings snapped shut and an extremely embarrassed smile strained on his face.
"Haha! Yeah! Totally fine! I was just...Um....C-Clearing a spot away for us to sit! Yeah!," He said quickly smiling at you.
"Um...Ok. That was very nice of you." Your brow rose but decided to drop the subject for now. "So you said this place had lots of rabbits?" You said changing the subject to make it less awkward.
Urogi rolled with it. "Yep! " he quickly relaxed turning himself away from.. from... whatever it was that he had built. "But it doesn't look like there's any today! If you wanna see animals the pond over there usually has fish and frogs and turtles and stuff."
You lit up. "Hey! That sounds great! If you can catch one I can cook it for us!"
THAT made his head snap around in interest immediately wide eyed and jaw smiling. "You can cook fish??"
You nodded. "Been doing it for years. Had to eat somehow. It'll be fun to be able to cook my own food again." You then gestured to where you stood. "You can get the fish and I'll make a small fire pit here. Ok?"
He instantly nodded giving you a thumbs up. "I can absolutely do that! Give me a few minutes and I'll drag you out the biggest fish in there!"
You nodded. "Alright then. I'll leave you to it."
With one last nod and FWAP of his wings, Urogi took off and  flew back toward said pond. Now then. Where could you find some rocks and branches? You ended up finding everything you needed by the edge of the field and in the trees. And you ended up making a small fire pit in the area Urogi flattened out. The flat grass would be a nice place to make a small fire. So the rocks were tightly packed together in a circle, branches were frown in the middle, and with a little elbow grease a small fire was started by you furiously rubbing two sticks together. Ok. Perfect! You heard a distant splash as the fire was first starting but paid it no mind just assuming Urogi was just catching a fish. Urogi did catch a fish. He did bring it back to you. However...He stopped seeing your form standing in the space he flattened out..And instincts he couldn't control bubbled up-
CHIRP!!
You jumped hearing such a loud sparrow like tweet behind you and snapped around only to see...Urogi...Hopping?? You blinked as Urogi again puffed out his just and poofed his feathers up before taking quick bird hops. Three hops to the left and then three hops back to the right. His head tilted in question at you similar to an owl-
CHIRP?
You blinked again as an honest to gods bird chirp left Urogi's throat but it sounded more...questioning before he made his feathers ruffle again and hopped twice backwards, twice back forwards, and cooed like a dove. You just ... stared at him.
"....Ok. Did you  seriously hit your head or is this some weird joke I just don't get?"
He blinked. Your words seeming to snap him out of... whatever state of mind he was in. And he blinked. "...What?"
You rose a brow and crossed your arms. "You literally just started tweeting like a bird.''
"I... N-No I wasn't!" He was quick to straighten up and clear his throat. "Here! I caught you that fish you wanted!" He then quickly thrusted a decent looking bass in one of his taloned hands. "Biggest one in the pond!"
Your pose and expression didn't change. "Ok. Yes you did. I'm not stupid and I clearly made those noises." He suddenly looked embarrassed straining that grin. "What's gotten into you? It's like you're acting like a-..." You slowly froze in realization.
Bird.
Urogi was acting EXACTLY like a bird. Making noises like a sparrow or dove. Hopping around like them too. Your eyes slowly looked down at the flattened circle of grass. This wasn't some kind of symbol. This was a NEST!! Urogi had built a nest! And he kept tweeting and hoping about like a bird would when they-
You slowly looked back to the now red faced demon. "Are you flirting with me...like a bird does?"
SQUAWK?!
An indignant turkey sound left his mouth as his feathers puffed out in shock. If possible his face got even more red. "NO!! I WAS JUST...M-M-MESSING AROUND WITH YOU!!"
"Your red face tells me otherwise." He sputtered as you slowly smiled amused. "Are you serious? Oh that is just too precious!~" Urogi gave a chicken choking sound as you quickly just grabbed his cheeks before he could react and laughed. "That is the cutest thing I've seen since Rui drew me a picture!~
"I-Im not cuuuuu- MMMMMMM!!! CHIRP!! "He quickly cut himself off and chirped again loudly when you brushed a hand over his cheek. Before slapping a taloned hand over his mouth in flustered horror.
You couldn't help but giggle again and continue to coo over his face. "OH MY GODS!! DO THAT AGAIN!! IT'S SO CUTE!!"
He tried to not to..he really did..but he somehow ended up sitting cross-legged holding you in his lap with his wings encasing you giving happy dove coos and thrums as he nuzzled his face into yours. You couldn't believe this. HOW CUTE WAS THIS?! A big bad Kizuki demon acting like a love struck dove. It made you almost forget about his earlier stunts. Almost. The fish was just stuck over the fire impaled by a large stick as you watched it. Until Urogi loosened up his grip to allow you to move and you took the chance to lean forward and turn the fish onto the other side. Nearly ready now- But you paused as you felt sharp talons take a piece of your hair and..Run down it. You blinked. It happened again and again. Urogi gently running a talon down a different part of your hair... before smiling.
"Cute." He froze. "Are you trying to preen me now?"
"...NO!" He squeaked out before pulling his talons away making you giggle. So cute. "B-Besides! If I was preening, WHICH I WASN'T, I -I-Id preen me since my wings have been so dam itchy lately!"
You turned back to him blinking. "Your wings itch? Why?"
He blinked.. before actually pouting and glaring at a wing. "I'm shedding some old feathers. But I can't exactly grip the loose ones with these." He held up his hands. "It's hard enough to write or even eat with them! You think I can even reach the teeny tiny ones in the back?"
"Well...what do you usually do when this happens?"
He shrugged. "Usually Aizetsu or Karaku helps me get them out of I shake them out eventually. Takes forever though. Luckily it doesn't affect my flying."
You blinked at him before looking at his wings. Huh...now that he mentioned it, they seemed kinda .. Clogged? As if there was feathers on top of feathers. And when you looked at where you both were sitting, you were surprised to see the many, many feathers strewn about. He was loosing a lot of feathers. Urogi blinked as you just got up without saying anything and walked behind him. His head followed raising a brow.
"Hey, Dove. What are you dooooo- CHIRP!!!"
His face went a red, and his feathers rustled out as a single hand grabbed at his wings and pulled down through them. Immediately a plethora of feathers tumbled from the wing as Urogi froze...and then relaxed back as a relieved feeling started to replace the dull, annoying itch that plagued him for days now. You noticed that a LOT of feathers immediately fell from him as you just started to run your hands through his wing and he slowly stretched it out fully for you. A series of rapid fire happy little chick like chirps leaving his mouth. AW! CUTE!!  He must feel better. It couldn't be good for his health to just leave all these loose feathers in. You continued your actions of combing through his wing again and again until barely any feather really fell out and it didn't look as full of feathers. Then Urogi stretched out his other Wing with a look over his shoulder questioning. You obliged doing the same thing to the other wing until minutes later both wings looked the same and there was enough feathers on the ground to stuff a giant pillow with. Urogi stood up and stretched out his wings and arms.
"How do you feel?"
"ALOT BETTER ACTUALLY!!" He happily looked over his shoulder and flapped his wings lightly a few times. "They're not as heavy anymore so it's not as stressful on my back! And the dam itch is gone!"
"Anymore loose feathers?"
"Probably a few but it's not enough to bother me anymore! You really know how to treat a guy! Uh..." He sniffed the air before humming. "Is something burning?"
"MY FISH!" You were quick to run around Urogi and yank the fish on the stick...only to deflate seeing the charged black fish. "Oh no. It's burnt! It's inedible now."
"Burnt or not. Hand it over! I'm starving." You watched in disbelief as Urogi plucked it from your hands and without deboning it or anything opened his mouth and bit off half of it.
You blinked at him messily eating said fish.. before shaking your head. "I'll just take some dirt and put out the fire."
After you made sure the fire was put out, you both just sat around some more for a while before Urogi got bored, stood up, and stretched out his wings. "Hey! I bet I can take off a lot faster now than my wings are lighter! Wanna see?!"
"Are you sure?"
"Of course! Just watch!" He raised his wings rotating his shoulders as he did-
STRUM!!!
One moment you were sitting in a grassy field, the next you were in a polished wooden hall....What? FWAP- THUD!! Urogi launched himself up, only to ram head first into a thick wooden ceiling and tumble back to the ground in a heap.
"...Ow."
"UROGI!!" You were quick to crawl back over to the groaning demon and pulling him up into a sitting position. "Are you alright?!"
He shook his head before smiling. "Oh yeah! Nakime must've teleported us back already...I should really talk to her about timing though."
You helped him stand as he rubbed his head but otherwise he seemed perfectly fine. Until you both heard clapping and turned down the hall. And saw none other than Karaku snickering and clapping his hands. KARAKU?! WHERE'D HE COME FROM!?
"Nice landing, Bro. As graceful as a swan!"
"Hey! That hurt!"
"You laughed every time I was kicked!"
"Hmm....Touche."
"Anyways..." Karaku smiled at you. Uh oh. And walked down the hall until he was in front of you both and leaned against the wall. But... didn't look cocky?? In fact his smile seemed genuine happy. "Since my brothers had their turns...What time should I come court you tomorrow?~"
You stared at him. ".....Never."
He froze. Urogi froze and stared at you wide eyed. "...What?" Both asked in shock.
"You're not welcome around me after how you've acted."
"I..Wha-" he exchanged looks with his brother before looking back at you like he was slapped across the face. Stuttering at your deadpanned face as you crossed your arms. "Yo-Yo-You and Sa.." he stopped himself before saying the whole name.
"Sakura?" Karaku froze up again..and you softened your look and sighed. "Look. I don't know what Douma told you but I didn't fight Sakura for your hand. I fought Sakura because she insulted my friend and attacked her. I had no idea she was going to challenge me for you."
Urogi just looked shocked between the two of you as Karaku just...well his face went blank.
"Douma must've misunderstood my intentions but I might as well straighten it out here. However that's not my only reason for saying that. Karaku... You're not giving me the impression you're taking this seriously. You're acting impulsive and thoughtless with this courtship and pushing my boundaries even after both myself and Akaza warned you of the consequences of that. An example of that is when you tried to kiss me after you asked. I didn't say no but I didn't say yes either," you explained before pointing at his face, "You also provided no of fulfilling your promises to me before approaching me. Yes. You all did what I asked but you don't seem to take this seriously as I am taking it. While you might've apologized for everything and fulfilled what I asked you I can't do anything until you prove to me that you're actually serious. ...Until I see that, then I won't be courting you...Good day Karaku." You then turned to Urogi, reached up and then pecked the shocked harpy on the lips. "Thank you for the fun time, Urogi. I hope your dinner with your family goes well."
You then patted his shoulder and turned to leave. Or you would've...If Karaku hadn't literally dropped to his knees, and hugged you around your legs. Looking up at you in a mix of panic, pleading, desperation and... longing.
"WAIT! P-PLEASE!! GIVE ME A CHANCE PLEASE!! I- ILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU I PROMISE!!" His grip slightly tightened up on you. "I-I-ILL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!! JUST PLEASE!!...PLEASE DON'T TAKE AWAY THAT CHANCE!!" He heaved.. looking up at you pleading almost as if..he was going to cry. "...Please...Please....I  LOVE YOU! I WANT YOU! I DONT WANT HER!!"
His voice echoed throughout the hallway as the two of you stood there staring at Karaku... Before Urogi kneeled down and grabbed his brothers shoulders in worry but Karaku didn't budge from your shocked body.
"....What did she do to you?"
Karaku choked on his air blinking in shock..so his brother spoke. "She was going to give him a love potion."
You blanked for a moment. "WHAT!?" Before snapping over to Urogi.
He just grimly nodded. "Yeah...He walked in on her trying to make it. That's when he got out of there and the crazy bitch started being crazy."
Karaku stared between you two.. before sighing and letting you go letting his arms flop to his sides. "Yeah. Alright. I fucked up. Alright? I fucked up!" He glared at nothing. "But do I really gotta be punished for it! Gods! I know it was stupid to pursue her after Sekido said not to! I get it now! Ok!?"
He panted sitting there for a long, long silent moment as you both stared at him. In the cold, silent hallway... before you slowly turned and began walking down the hallway making both brothers blink.
"H-Hey! Where are you going?!"
"To beat her ass or commit murder. I'll decide when I get there!"

Though vain and cold-hearted she somehow in a way cares for her son being the last of her bloodline has no idea who his father is all she knows is that he had the same kind of eyes like Ren and that he came from a very wealthy household all she remembers decades after her defeat she would spend her times wandering around where the once powerful candy witch would spend her days glooming drinking endless bottles of wine whenever she could get it in melancholy. it was at then at a brothel that they met when she was drinking at her weakest were they ended up somehow talking to each other sharing a bottle of wine and later on decided to have a 'night' together bed that the only name she got from him was Honeysuckle the next morning she woke up alone left with a small bag of money helper get by for a while and a single red rose and for a while for the first time deep down from her bitterness she had a tiny moment of happiness.
Later on she then found out she was 4 months pregnant shocking her to her core never knew the signs due to believing it was condition of living in heavy poverty and had no idea how she was going to deal with having a baby due to her having a dislike towards children yet something was different about this situation from the one growing from her belly a mystery why she decided to keep him, the remainder of her pregnancy was very rough for her due to her wondering about and having to find scraps for her and the life growing inside her belly to live and having to force herself to stop drinking which made her bitterness deepen a bit waiting for the day until she can give birth. Soon the day came on a cold chili morning that Renora went into labor putting her in a painful situation she tried to find help but all doors and windows were closed Renora walked mournfully in pain cried out for help somebody anybody to help her! Once again at her weakest clutching her small swollen stomach trying to find shelter any shelter as tears and begging cries called out for help! But there was no one and she was running out of time as her baby was nearing she had no choice but to find the nearest dark alley and proceeded to give birth there as the last snow of winter began to fall above her as she pushed it wasn't long until she found a crying newborn baby between her legs as she carefully scooped him up in her shaking arms pressing the small being to her breast as tears of pained child birth and relief fell from her face unknown to her that an act of kindness would come to them. For right across near the entrance of the alley lived an old sweet couple who just getting ready for the morning the wife was getting the fresh milk just delivered she noticed a sound coming from the alley curious she went to have a look and was surprised by the shock of her life the finding a young woman and her newborn taking action she quickly ask the woman if she all right and see if she needed help? Renora still weak with cautious and on guard but she knew that they would need help so she slowly nodded to the woman who to her shock helped her get to her feet and brought her in where she met her husband who was told to fetch the doctor as they have a young lady and her babe in need of help right away when Renora silently asked why is she helping them or who they were the kind woman responded "well my dear I couldn't just leave you and your little wee one out in the cold can't I? No no dear lady needed a helping hand with a kind heart." Renora was flabbergasted by this as this was one of them also very very first times someone was kind to a former witch like her "And to answer your other question my dearie I am Mrs.Honeysuckle Carmen Honeysuckle and you my dear are in The Little Lullaby Bakery."
The same place Ren own to this day.

IzuSeri needs more love :< Say IzuSeri is already married and expecting their first child. While I see Kusanagi going full dad mode the very first second he gets the news, I feel like Seri would try to not make a big deal out of it due to her job. Maybe she is too concerned about S4 still, post rok and doesn't want to let them down. So, a scenario about how IzuSeri deal with this new situation? Because I feel like they would want to handle this differently.
I could definitely see Kusanagi freaking out a little while Awashima is maybe a little too calm (luckily for Kusanagi I think S4 would be much more cognizant of Awashima's condition and trying to get her to rest more). Like imagine Kusanagi and Awashima get married and a few months later Awashima discovers she's pregnant. She isn't sure at first so she goes to like S4's on site doctor, who does a pregnancy test and gets her an ultrasound scheduled at a local hospital and basically Awashima ends up finding it out on her own before it even occurs to her to contact her husband. Anna probably knows before Kusanagi does, like Awashima calls him to let him know she needs to talk to him about something and after Kusanagi hangs up the phone he notices Anna giving him this happy smile. He asks if something's strange and Anna shakes her head and says he should talk to Seri. Awashima shows up at the bar shortly afterward to tell Kusanagi he's going to be a dad and he probably drops the glass he was cleaning, totally caught off guard. I think he'd be very happy though, sweeping Awashima off her feet and kissing her while Anna sneaks down the steps of the bar and watches them with this knowing smile.
Awashima is of course very happy but also determined not to let this slow her down, when she tells the force they start to go a bit overboard trying to get her to sit and rest and she says that she's not that far along and she can handle herself like normal for now. Kusanagi disapproves of this somewhat but he also knows he can't push it too much or she'll get irritated with him, he doesn't like the idea of Awashima running around in danger when she's pregnant. I wonder if Awashima would feel self conscious because she's the only high-ranking woman in S4 and she doesn't want people to think she isn't fit to be second in command because she's pregnant so she pushes herself a little. But then imagine one day after a patrol her back is sore and Fushimi kinda pushes a chair towards her, mumbling that she should take a rest if she's tired and Awashima's all surprised at this sudden show of care. Fushimi is very carefully not looking at her and Awashima smiles softly and thanks him. After this she starts to notice how the rest of S4 isn't looking down on her but rather they're being conscientious towards her, Munakata making certain that she's still involved in missions but also not put into any direct danger, especially as she starts to show more (he also gets her a maternity outfit that actually covers her butt, Awashima thinks she might keep this one).
Kusanagi's relieved when he hears that S4 is taking Awashima's pregnancy into account, I could see him getting more and more on edge about it the further along she gets. Like he's just a little disapproving in the first couple months but as she starts to show and has more issues with her body due to her pregnancy he becomes a little more vocal about Awashima fighting or being present during missions. I could see Munakata stopping by for a drink and Kusanagi's a little sharper than normal when discussing his wife, Munakata has to assure him that all of S4 is looking out for Awashima-kun and her child and that Kusanagi has nothing to worry about. Even so I could see Kusanagi being on edge the entire pregnancy, maybe some small part of him wondering if this is another tragedy that's going to happen. The rest of Homra is super supportive of Kusanagi too though, letting him know that he doesn't need to worry so much and that they're all behind him. Maybe this turns into S4 and Homra actually working together even more in the later months of Awashima's pregnancy, Homra showing up to support S4 in dangerous situations because they want to be sure someone else is there to protect Kusanagi's wife and kid if needed.

Tumblr media
Pairing: Keanu Reeves X Reader
Word count: 1.6 K
Summary: Keanu found the girl almost dead, in the wrecks of what was once her car. While she was in surgery, stuck in a coma, he gathered the best doctors of New York to attend to her. They told him she is likely to have some kind of brain damage, what may lead to memory loss. And this possibility added up wit the fact that she's pregnant, made the council come up with an odd idea. They asked Keanu to pretend to be her husband, since the stress of finding out everything that happened could put the baby in danger. He reluctantly agreed, but only if she does has some kind of memory loss. He still goes she'll wake up soon, with her memories intact.
But when you finally wake up, there's nothing inside. You're quick to find your head is empty, void, like a blank canvas. The only thing that brings you some relief, that makes you feel less lonely is the mention of a husband. And you can't wait to meet him, because you know you can't deal with this by yourself.

His
The moment you open the front door, you know something's off. It's night already, and you're sure, by how dark it is, that every single light is turned off. Keanu was supposed to stay with Liam as you went to your appointment with the psychologist. Another one, someone who will give you a different perspective. So you don't get why the house seems to be empty. He doesn't take Liam out without telling you, and you do the same, always letting the other know where you'll be.
“Keanu?” You call, throwing your purse on the couch and taking your heels off.
Fear starts creeping over your skin when you see something weird on the floor, some feet away. Walking there, you bend over to take it, and at the same moment you realize what it is, you see another, and another, and one more after, forming a trail that leads to the back of the house. Furrowing your eyebrows, you wonder why are there so many red rose petals on the floor.
“Keanu?” You call again, making your way to the backyard, an unusual yellowish light getting your attention. “What–” The words get caught on your throat when you notice more and more the petals, and as you follow and then, raising your head, your eyes go wide at the sight of the backyard, completely lit up by candles.
There's a table set in the middle and roses all over the place. Keanu stands by the table, in a damn suit, which makes him look even more handsome. Mouth half open, you take a look at everything, perfectly set, before starting at Keanu once again.
“Ke... What...” He moves his hand a little and a slow, soft song starts playing. You gasp, biting your lip.
“Can I have this dance?” He asks, and you nod, making your way over him and taking his hand on yours.
Keanu guides your arms around his neck, his big, warm hands resting on your hip, and it burns right through the delicate fabric of the green dress you're wearing. And then, you start moving, from side to side, following the rhythm.
“What's this about, Ke?” You have to ask. It's been a while since you decided to start dating. It does sound silly, given everything that happened, but you both thought it would be a good start. You also promised not to let out what happened between you two, since people wouldn't understand and you don't want to affect his career. You forgave him, wholeheartedly, and you know he did what he did to keep you safe.
“Just thought we needed a romantic dinner.” He simply says, taking your hand and pushing you away, so gently, before pulling you back into his arms. “And don't worry. Liam is with Mrs. Jackson.”
“Alright...” Raising an eyebrow, you look up at him. “Is it a special occasion? Like my birthday or something?” The day you were born was mentioned, but you didn't really pay attention.
“Not for a couple of months.”
“You're oddly mysterious tonight, Ke.” Tiptoeing, you place a kiss on his lips.
“What's wrong with a little bit of mystery?” When the song ends, he takes your hand, guiding you to the table.
“There's nothing wrong with it.” Shrugging your shoulders, you smile at him, taking your seat.
“I'll serve dinner. Give me a minute.” You nod as he walks back inside, taking the time to look around again.
The yard was never so beautiful, the candles casting soft, warm lights. There are red petals, scattered around the place, and roses on the centerpiece. Reaching out your hand, you take one, bringing it to your nose and breathing in the amazing scent.
“(Y/N),” Keanu calls when he's near you, and when you turn around, you don't find anything on his hands. “I was going to wait so we could have dinner first, but...” Taking your hand in his, Keanu pulls you up, and you furrow your eyebrows at him.
He takes a deep breath before searching for something on the inside of his suit, and you feel your blood running cold when he gets down on one knee.
Keanu reveals a small, dark box, and when he opens it, there's the most beautiful ring you've ever seen in it. It shines, lit up by the candles, and you see three stones, the one in the middle a little bigger than the others.
“(Y/N), I know it's only been some months since we started... Dating.” He begins, and you feel your hands shaking. “But everything happened to us in quite an unusual way and I'm completely in love with you.” You're already crying, a hand covering your mouth. “I thought I knew what love was, but I was so wrong. This is love, and it's... Undescribable. The way I feel when you walk in the room is... You own my heart, it's yours.”
Biting back a sob, you let him take your hand in his.
“So I couldn't wait anymore, beautiful. I want what we had while stuck on that lie to be real. I want to be yours, and I want you to be mine. Forever. So... (Y/N)... Do you want to be my wife?”
“Yes,” you mutter, a little too fast, but since you're not sure if he could hear it, you nod, watching as he slides the ring on your finger.
There are no words to describe this moment. As Keanu stands up again, welcoming you into his arms and lifting you up, and you know this is right. Maybe everything meant to lead you to this moment. You know there are important people you left behind, like Daniel, your first husband, but you can only count on what you remember. And maybe just maybe, this was meant to be since the beginning. And you're happy, beyond happy, to have found the love of your life.
So it doesn't take much until the preparations start. Actually, they start on the very next day. For the general public, you'll be just a wedding vow renewal, since you don't remember the first. But it doesn't matter what they think, only what you know.
Laura is overjoyed, and she takes it into her hands to help you with everything. The date is set for only two months after the proposal, so it gives you little time to put everything together. And Laura is as indecisive as you are about the wedding dress. You do want to know Keanu's opinion, but you really want it to be a surprise, so you manage to chose it without asking him.
Things start getting hectic as the day approaches, but thanks to Laura, and to some people Keanu hired to organize everything, stuff is getting done just in time. When the day comes, there's not a single thing that isn't perfect.
There weren't allowed any journalists, just a single photographer, who's friends with Keanu. You know the pictures will find their way online, and you're well aware of some paparazzi hiding away. But nothing else matters. When you say ‘I do’, dressed in white, eyes on the most handsome man on Earth, nothing else matters.
And when you kiss, sealing your love before all the guests, you finally understand the true meaning of happiness. And as you walk down the aisle, hand in hand with Keanu as he holds Liam in his free arm, you smile at the camera, barely able to believe your eyes.
Sometime later, you're watching Liam playing in Mrs. Jackson's arms as you're seated on Keanu's lap. It was just for some photos, but you decided to stay.
“I have some news. But only if you agree.” Keanu says, low voice on your ear.
“Let's hear it.”
“I thought about a week in the Caribean as a honeymoon. But in November, so Liam is a little older. And if you think he'd be alright without us for this period.” As he speaks, Keanu pulls your hair away, placing a kiss on your neck.
“If we can hire Laura as a babysitter, I think it'll be alright.” Biting your lip, you look down at him. “And you should at least try to control yourself, Mr. Reeves. There are still some hours before we can be alone.” Lowering your voice, you smirk, placing a kiss on his lips.
“Because you're so good on self-control, Mrs. Reeves.”
“Oh, I love my new name.” Kissing him again, you only pull away when a song starts playing. “Ok, we have to dance.” Jumping to your feet, you start moving already, holding his hand as you walk to the dance floor. The song is fast, so you get this chance to be all over Keanu the best you can without letting anyone else notice the teasing.
“Do you really think it's a good idea to tease your husband before the wedding night?” He asks, his huge hands coming to encircle your waist, pulling you against his chest.
“It's the best idea I ever had.” Winking, you turn around, moving along with the rhythm, rasing an eyebrow to see Laura dancing with Robert. That took some time, but you finally see something happening.
The rest of the party goes on wonderfully well, and when it's over, you go back home. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson offered to stay with Liam tonight, so you and your husband have the house to yourselves. You're not entirely surprised to find your bedroom all decorated with candles and roses. You love it, but before actually getting into bed, you completely fail on the self-control thing, joining Keanu in the shower.
But of course, it doesn't stop there, and in no time, the amazingly decorated bed is messed up, once again claimed as yours. And even though you're tired of the party and the ceremony, you can't stop. You can't have enough of Keanu, you can't have enough of finally being his.

Life's Surprises
Batman X Wife-Reader
Y/N, pregnant with her first biological baby though she soon finds out she'll no longer be having one baby.
Tumblr media
I sat on the stretcher at my doctor's appointment. My hands cradling my bump, as my tears fell. The nurse just left saying that she needed to speak with the doctor. I called my husband on my mini intercom that was in my ear, I gasp fearing the worst. He answered my heart drops with guilt, will he be mad?
-"Darling, what's wrong?" his sentence swift
I cover my face as I cry "oh, Bruce I'm so scared the nurse was giving me a normal check up and th-then she left needing to talk to the doctor" I couldn't stop my sobs "what if somethings wrong?"
-"my Love deep breaths I'm on my way to you and no matter what happens I will still love you"
I sniff I didn't respond as I hear, the door open. I see my doctor with a gentle smile
"no need to worry, Mrs. Wayne you and your babies are perfectly healthy"
I let out a deep relieving breath, then I realized. I looked at my doctor in shock "b-babies?" I gasped "how?"
"congratulations Mrs. Wayne you're having twin's. To answer how, it appears your second baby was hiding behind his sister. Though today it seems he's said hello"
She showed me the ultrasound on the screen. I see, my babies I gasped crying. Two babies! Two babies! Not only did she say we're not only having a baby girl, but a boy as well. Moment's later I walk out and go to the exit. I'm still connected to the line with my husband. I waddle with my legs to the exit
I whisper not wanting to draw, attention "hey I don't if you heard that I'm sure you did. I'm ok the baby-" I corrected myself "babies and I are OK"
I made it to the exit seeing my beloved husband. He shuts his eye's taking a relaxing breath. I softly smile as he opens his eye's. We sat in the car my feet aching. I kicked my shoe's off and took a relaxing breath. I then realized we only have little girl clothes, and crib in the nursery
"Bruce" I take a small breath exhausted but we have to get more things "we need to go get more baby stuff but baby boy stuff"
"slow down, we're going home you can, get on the laptop and have everything you want sent home"
"Bruce, I'm fine my feet hurt a little"
"Y/N, your carrying my children I'm not letting you go walking through the store and worsening your pain. Your feet are in more pain than you're willing to admit. We're going home taking a bath, buying thing's for our son, and I'm giving you a foot message" his voice stern but with adoration
"so you're OK with having two babies?"
He kissed my head touching my bump gently rubbing it. That was enough reassurance for me. We made it home as Bruce has his hands on mine helping me into our room. We went into the bathroom. After Bruce helped me strip down. I laid in our double bathtub nearly taking all the room. As he turns the water on and messages my feet. I rest my neck on the edge of the tub. I instantly feel more relaxed. He gently rubs my large bump. He was quiet as usual though he seems to be thinking. I place the palm of my hand on his. As the bath water filled the tub Bruce turned it off. He moved his hand back on my bump, I again placed my hand on my his
"you seem to be thinking, anything you'd like to tell me?" I asked
"before I heard the doctor tell the news I'd had my suspension that you we're carrying twins" he kept his hand on my bump and looked to the side as his face dropped, my heart breaks "I was concerned of how good of a Dad I could be to two new children" he looks at me with a saddened look "I wasn't always the best father figure to the children I have now" he looks at my bump with a small smile "Though when I heard the doctor confirm my suspension, I didn't feel concerned or disappointed" he paused as if waiting for me to ask
"what'd you feel?"
He softly smiled looking me in the eye's "happy, concerned for how you were feeling though I was happy" he had genuine smile
I touch his face and he kissed me.
"ready to get out, Momma Bat?"
I nodded I held onto Bruce as he helped me stand. He drained the bath and held me bridle style. I chuckled he sat me on the bed and helped me put on my pajamas. He lifted my legs as I lay back down on the bed, he moved my legs onto the bed. He gave me a kiss and my bump. That following morning I yawn opening my eye's. It's late in the morning. I sat up seeing, Bruce reading.
"don't get up until I come to help you"
"Bruce, I love you but don't you think you're being a little overprotective"
"perhaps though do you honestly think I give a damn"
I roll my eye's as he shuts his book placing it on the nightstand. He walks, to me and offers his hands. I took them and stood. He kissed my head
"don't try to get out of trouble with me Mr" I jokingly stated for him being so adorably protective
He chuckled and kissed me. As I walk to go find breakfast he gives my butt a playful pat. I turn my head seeing him smirking at me. I chuckled. I open the door and saw, Cassandra. She offered her hand
"don't tell me Bruce texted you"
She playfully shrugged her shoulders. As if to say 'I'm not allowed to say but yes'. My daughter and I locked arm's. As we made it to the kitchen Cassandra walked to the fridge. I see my children on the barstools and Alfred doing dishes.
"morning kid's, morning Alfred"
"good morning Ms Y/N I have your breakfast right here"
"thanks, Alfred"
I feel a contraction and squint my eye's. Oww.
"mom! You ok? You're in pain, is it the baby" Dick asked as he came to my side
He held my hand "I'm ok kiddo it's just Braxton Hicks and it's not a baby there's two" I gasp covering my lips realizing I spoiled the surprise
Stephanie, spit her water out in shock.
"dammit Brown that's revolting I'm trying to comprehend what mother said"
"twin's? You're carrying two babies? Like" Dick extended one finger "one" he extended another finger "two?"
Stephanie looked at me in shock, along with Cassandra, Barbara Jason, Tim and Damian. Alfred, widely smiled. I nodded. Dick, carefully embraced me
"I can't believe it! There's going to be nine of us! Oh, Mom you need to rest like right now"
We parted "I'm fine don't worry"
Jason walked to me "hate to admit it but I agree with Grayson you need to rest Mom" Jason said and gently hugged me
As the rest of the kid's and Alfred stood by me each giving me word's of encouragements and warm hugs
"so wait you still haven't told us the gender, or genders, so?" Barbara asked
"it's a girl" I answered
Steph, Babs and Cass high five each other.
As Bruce walks he says "and a boy"
"woo! Boy's win-wait a boy and a girl. So wait who wins, the bet?" Dick questioned
"you all do which is a miracle considering I don't have to hear 'I win' on repeat for 3 week's"
"I was just stating what was true" Stephanie defended
I chuckled before I knew it Bruce and I were in the hospital room. After 3 hour's of contractions, they prepped me for delivery. With the stretcher bed leaned up, wearing a hospital gown. With sweat dripping down my face my tight grip on Bruce's hand. My legs leaned up. As the doctor told me to, I bore down and push, I scream in pain
"breath, Y/N you're doing outstanding" Bruce encouraged
I nod in response as I inhale through my nose and then exhale slowly through my mouth. I feel pain and pressure. I can barely hold it together. Bruce leaned down and kissed my knee. I then felt a firm swoosh, my baby was out
"Here she is!" the Doctor announced, placing the baby directly on my chest.
"D/N" I mumbled
I sobbed upon laying eyes on my baby. As I nursed my daughter then they weighed her and cleaned her. The nurse walked in offering our daughter
I winced "t-take her, Bruce. I think contractions are starting back up"
I moaned feeling the contraction again. I squeezed Bruce's hand. Bruce squeezed my hand gently and let go as the nurse put our tiny baby in the crook of Bruce's arm. I grunted, exerting all the force I could muster into my push. I yelled suddenly, I felt relief and saw my son. I gasped covering my face as I sobbed
"S/N" I cried
The doctor gave me my son I sobbed emotionally overwhelmed and overjoyed. After I nursed my son they cleaned him. With my after birth and myself clean. Wearing my clothes I sat on clean sheets holding my son. Bruce, holding our daughter he kisses my head.
"you did outstanding I'm so proud of you"
I kiss my husband as I hear knocking. Bruce walked and opened. I then see my kid's and Alfred. I gently smiled, seeing my children with gifts for their new brother and sister. Day's later D/N and S/N in the nursery sound asleep. With a teddy with a bow tie for S/N from Cassandra and a pink bow on another teddy bear for D/N also from Cassandra. As well as countless toy's and many other things their older siblings got to spoil them. Bruce and I full of exhaustion sat on the rocking chairs. He had put two in here for us. He offered his hand as I took it.
"I love you" I said with adoration grateful for the life I have
He kissed my hand "I love you too"
Several months later Bruce on patrol the twins in their teething stage. I heard crying late in the light. I walk to the nursery. The crying stopped but I want to make sure their ok. I saw them with Bruce in his uniform. I held my laugh in covering my lips seeing D/N and S/N chewing on my husband's cowl ears. He grunted, I burst out laughing.

9 and 17 for the ask game if they haven't already been asked pls <3
9: Are there any fics you'd love to see but don't want to write yourself? What are they?
ok,,,, i said i was gonna give u a diluc one bc ik ur a genshin blog now so here we go exposing this Very Specific Fic Idea i had for a man from a game i dont even play JBHADF this was the other idea i had instead of Like The Dawn for Tay's bday, which i ended up scrapping in favor of Like The Dawn bc this would have been WAYYYY longer and wouldn't have been a modern au and i simply didn't wanna bother figuring out the world 😭😭😭 and if i end up caving and writing this shit anyway in a few months uh. mind ur business 😌
arranged marriage plot........ where the reader n dluc have been engaged to be married since before they were even like. able to crawl. but have not once met, and in the aftermath of diluc's dad gettin merc'd he calls off the arrangement figuring hey she'll probably be happy to not be engaged to a dude shes never met. surprise! not how. the world works. and when she gets the letter she hikes her damn self up to his winery and storms into his office like "um??? dude??? ur literally ruining my LIFE who the fuck is gonna wanna marry me once I'm your sloppy seconds? everyone's gonna think there's something wrong with me you know??? you want me to make my debut" (very regency vibes with the way i would build the culture of mondstadt's upper class) "at nearly 20 fucking years old after the head of the most influential family decided i wasnt good enough for him like either you're the stupidest man alive or the cruelest" and diluc is just🧍‍♂️bc the dumbass rlly didnt think abt that 😭 and hes all "im gonna fuck off for a while and you deserve a husband who wont do that" and shes all "i dont even WANT a husband but ive been raised to be a wife i cant just Not be one so actually? you marrying me and letting me run your household/business while you're completely MIA sounds like a rlly good deal to me" SO THEY GET MARRIED REAL FUCKIN FAST N HE FUCKS OFF LIKE IN CANON AND SHE IS LEFT TO RUN HIS WHOLE THING DURING THOSE YEARS WHILE HES GONE and then,,,,,,,, and then he comes back ohohoho and now the fun can start. because there is nothing better than mutual pining where u think the other doesn't love you when youre LITERALLY MARRIED AHAHA cue the longing gazes and the chaste touches (2005 pride and prejudice hand flex scene i am staring right at you) and the misunderstandings (legit id spend the first two thirds of the fic after he shows back up with him under the assumption that the reader absolutely despises him and the reader trying desperately to despise him.......) throw in some good old-fashioned "diluc gets hurt and the reader patches him up but they both have to pretend like theyre not losing their minds over the fact that shes got her hands all over his bare chest" a classic in the vigilante romance genre LIKE ALL THE PERIOD ROMANCE TROPES give the man a horse toss him in a lake dress him up for a party mmmmm i wanna read it SO bad
17: What has been the proudest moment for you so far since you started writing?
ok,,,, this is gonna sound rlly arrogant but here we go. a few monthsssss ago i decided to Put Effort into reaching out to authors more and interacting with the community, cause i figured that was one of the best ways to both motivate myself to write and just kinda generally be more active on this blog, thus encouraging the kind of interaction i desire.
soooo i reached out to two authors who I really admired, whose works i really enjoyed. and BOTH of them responded by telling me that they were huge fans, that they were fangirling bc I'd interacted with them, and that my work was one of the reasons they started posting in the first place. that was....... like holy fuck. the FIRST time was mind-boggling and so flattering; and then the SECOND time i was like well goddamn i must be the best author in this whole community JKSHDBFV im kidding but yeah. they've both become v treasured mutuals so if y'all see this ily those interactions made my goddamn year 🥺
ask me abt my fics!

I've been home for 4 days now, I'm bored Adam is at work he wanted to stay home but I convince him that I am fine. But now? Now I'm bored! Daytime TV is awful, I decide to go for a walk. I pop into Bridezillas, Jess looks up at me as I walk into the shop "Hey Ellie! How are you feeling?" she has the most fake smile.
"Hi, I'm feeling OK, just bored!"
"I can imagine it must be just staring at 4 walls all day. Have you heard anything about what is happening to the girl that attacked you?"
"Erm, last I heard they were charging her. Adam is dealing with updates. Has it been busy?"
I don't know if it's real or fake but she gives me an apologetic look "Psycho, hopefully she'll get what's coming to her. Today has been pretty steady actually" the shop phone rings Jess smile and answers it.
I hear the shop door open and turn to greet what I thought would be a customer to be face with his 'Why aren't you resting, look' I feel like a kid being caught with her hand in the cookie jar "Ellie, what are you doing here? Why aren't you at home with your feet up?"
I give him my best pouty sad face "I was bored, so I thought I'd go for a walk and just popped in. How did you know I was here?"
He gives me that grin, "I was walking back from the shop, we needed more tea at work and I saw you in here"
Jess interrupts "Ellie, are you OK to keep an eye out here for a minute or two? Amy is on her break and I need to check out back if a customers dress has been altered?"
I look over my shoulder at her "Yeah, that's fine" She smiles before rushing out the back to the stock room.
"Busted then! I was just so bored I was going to go stir crazy just watching TV"
His arms come around me, his cheek bushes mine as he whispers against my ear "I could've kept you company, but you told me to go back to work!"
I laugh, "Adam!!" I playfully swat him.
"Back thanks Ellie!" Jess calls from behind.
"Right, come on I'm taking you to lunch"
"Oooo, can we go to The Grill? I'm really feeling a chicken burger! Oh, and ice! Baby wants ice!"
He laughs, entwines his fingers through mine and pulls me towards the door "Bye Jess!" I call over
"Bye!"
We get outside "I just need to pop these into the office" we walk over to his office, we get out the front then I freeze on the spot.
Adam turns to look at me, then it clicks and his face turns to concern "Ellie, beautiful! I'm sorry! You know what I'll leave these here and tell Rob there outside. Don't worry I won't let anyone hurt you or Charlie! I promise! Let's get you some lunch"
 ~*~*~*~
After lunch Adam drops me home, I'm looking round the spare bedroom we emptied a few weeks ago. We have the paint, furniture, and furnishings. Nina and Al decided to stay another week after my incident with Laura. I give Nina a text, half an hour later, Al and Nina arrive "Ellie, let's get start on this room" Nina rushes me upstairs. She paints not letting me help and Al puts together the furniture.
I hear my phone.
*1 New Message from Hubster*
[Hey yummy mummy, I hope you're at home resting! I will grab you a couple of bags of ice on the way home! x]
[Hi my gorgeous husband, I am! I've just grabbed one of your hoodies while the heating is heating up as I'm cold. I will send a photo as proof haha! You know how to make a girl happy, I just finished the bag we got at lunch :( xx]
I take a kissy-pouty face photo with his white hoodie in my hand to throw him off and hit send.
*1 New Message from Hubster*
[Beautiful! Probably all that ice you've eaten that's made you cold. OK, I'll get 4 bags might last until tomorrow at least. x]
[Haha, it probs is! I might get in bed until I warm up. Not a bad craving to have, can't put on weight eating ice! haha. We will see you later xx]
Later I'm just putting the vacuum round Charlie new bedroom, Nina and Al have, left as they have plans with Elaine.
"Ellie? Gorgeous? Are you here?"
I hear him call out as he comes in for work "I'm up here! Come up!" I call down, I rush out of the room and close the door.
He reaches the top of the stairs and turns to me "There you are!"
"I have a surprise for you!"
He narrow his eyes at me "Would it have anything to do with that paint on, your forehead?"
I touch my head (Crap!) "Ellie, what have you been up to?"
"Come here, cover your eyes and follow me!" I pull him with me as I open the door "You can't open your eyes until say!"
He grins, I pull him further into the room "Open them!"
He opens his eyes and looks round the room "Ellie, Wow! This is amazing!" he has the brightest smile, "Wait, you didn't lift that furniture did you?"
I laugh "No, of course not. I got your mum and dad to help. Your dad put everything together your mum painted the walls, I did offer to help but she would only let me make teas"
He wraps his arms around me "Ellie, it's perfect!" he claims my lips with his "Now, let me make you dinner!"
"No, Adam I'll make it! You've been at work all day"
He cups my face "And you're pregnant and came home only 4 days ago! I'm cooking no arguments" he kisses my lips softly. I know there's not point in protesting.
~*~*~*~
4 Weeks later.
He clutches my hips as I'm bouncing up and down him "Fuck baby! That's it ride me!" he pushes off the bed and sits up as pulls me to his lips.
I grasp his lip between my teeth, he groans and I let go before his lips kiss along my pulse line. He moves his hips up burying himself further into me "Yes! That's it! Oh!!" a wave of pleasure explodes between my legs and I hit my climax.
He drives into me a few more times before he hits his own.
I collapse onto him, he wraps me up into his arms "Do you have to go to work today?" I put on my pouty face.
He chuckles "Not had enough?"
I shook my head, "You will have so much more fun with me" I wink.
"I would but I'm busy at work" he kisses me gently before getting out of bed, he turns "But you can always join me in the shower!" he winks. I jump up, and he pulls me towards the bathroom with him.
After our shower we are in the bedroom getting dressed, I'm sat on the bed when I feel a flutter in my tummy (That's new) I rest a hand against my bump and I feel it "Adam!! He's kicking!" He spins round and rushes over to me, I take his hand and place it where I felt the kick.
*Kick!*
Adam felt it, his face lights up "He kicked!" then another and another. "Oh wow! This is amazing Ellie!" Adam's phone rings and rings and rings "Rob, what's up?...Yeah, of course. OK, I'll be right there!" he hangs up "I've got to go. I love you...the both of you" he kisses my cheek then my bump.
"We'll see you later!" I smile.
I have today off as Amy needed to swap days. Mum has invited me to lunch at the club, I take the train into the city centre.
[Hey husband! <<I don't think I'll ever get bored of calling you that! 5 weeks tomorrow you made me your proud wife! How's work? Not working to hard I hope?! You'll need your energy for later ;) Just on my way to mum's club for lunch. x]
*1 New Message from Hubster*
[Hello my beautiful wife < I won't get bored of calling you that either xx. Wow, feels like yesterday! Yeah, work is fine muddling through. Oh, will I now? Why would that be!? Have fun and think of me stuck here! xx]
[Good because that's my title until I'm 6 feet under! haha. Aww just think we could be in bed sweating, panting and screaming each others names...but you chose work. Because I plan you for you to fuck me all night! haha! x]
*1 New Message from Hubster*
[That won't be for a long time yet! Fuck picturing it now *boxers feeling tight!* I won't make that mistake again. I plan to keep you in bed until you're sore ;) I need to get back to work. I love you both xx]
[I could've helped with that....but I can't now. You better not!!!!!!!! Ooooh looking forward to it. We love you too x]
~*~*~*~
I get to the club and head inside.
*SURPRISE!*
I look around the room is decorated in blue balloons, it's a boy and baby shower banners! Everyone is here my mum, Tom, Amy, Justin, Elaine, Nina, Kerry and Adam. My emotions get the better of me and I burst into tears.
Mum rushes over to me "Oh, El's this was supposed to have the opposite effect"
I smell his aftershave then feel his arms wrap around me "Hey beautiful! No tears!"
I smile through the tears, he cups my face and wipes them away "Sorry, I just wasn't expecting this! It's such a lovely gesture!" I apologize.
I dry my tears and Adam leads me to a table "Was this your doing? I thought you were busy?"
"Hey Ellie, You can cry if your want to 1. it's your party and 2. you're pregnant, you can be emotional and no one can question it" Elaine calls over.
He gives me a smug smile, "I had to make you believe that because I needed to get here to help your mum. Do you really think I would have turned down a day in bed with you for work?"
I laugh, "I'll remember that next time! Your mum is here! She's racking up some air miles"
"When Mel mentioned it to me a few months ago I had a word with mum. I said she didn't need to come down, but she wanted to. I think she likes you more than me," he laughs, "But seriously she wants to be here in her words 'Adam don't be so silly this is my first grandchild I'm going to get on the first plane for everything, the birth, their first steps etc'"
I laugh, "Bless her!"
Later after gifts and food. I'm catching up with Tom "How are you feeling El's?"
"Like an emotional hippo!" He laughs, "So, it looks like you and Justin are over your little spat?"
"Yeah, El's there's something I need to tell you," he gives me a look I can't read.
"What? What is it?"
"El's, come on let's cut the cake!" Mum pulls me away before Tom can answer. (What does he want to tell me?)

Dear Daisy 5
Tumblr media
Daisy never realized how big the house is until Harry's not there. Without his large personality sitting at the table, or his lanky legs kicked up on the coffee table while he works, or his broad body moving around the kitchen, Daisy feels like she's living in an empty palace. It's gotten to the point that she hates being at the house, but going to visit her family is just as depressing with them now crying over Sterling's departure. Her father's taken up more work with Thomas, hoping to make up for the usual revenue Sterling brings into the family. It's not much seeing as most of her brother's earnings goes into his personal savings so he can afford to marry Stella and take care of her. Daisy tried spending time with her future sister too, but that ended up being even more depressing then staring at Harry's empty couch cushion. So she goes on walks now. She's been putting off walking through the park because it reminds her of Harry now, and she stays as far away from the beach as possible. That really only leaves the town for her to walk through, but she likes the shops so she doesn't mind. She hardly buys anything, but the browsing keeps her mind off of Harry and how much she misses him and if he's okay. Her favorite shop to go in is the local bakery, owned a ran by a man named Robin and his kids. It's nice to sit at one of the tables, picking at a scone or mini pie and watch Robin teach his son's to roll out dough correctly and cut shapes into the pies. The three men are always so happy and carefree, and the feeling rubs off on her after sitting there for a bit.
Today, however, is different.
The bell above the door chimes as she pushes it open, stepping into the little shop and expecting a smile from Richard who's usually behind the counter. He's not there today, and walking up to the counter she realizes that Sam isn't either. It's just Robin, lips drooping down in the corners as he dusts some flower onto his apron. Daisy's smile falls, confused by the unusual gloomy mood in the bakery.
"Oh, hello Daisy." Robin greets when he notices her, offering her a pathetic smile. Daisy rests her elbows on the counter, holding her chin up.
"Is everything okay Robin?"
The man shrugs, shaking his head with a sad chuckle. "My boys left today," he mumbles, "one of them to the Poland, the other Germany."
Her heart falls to her stomach, and she thinks of Harry again. She's so worried knowing he's in France, she can't imagine how upsetting it'd be if he were sent to the front lines. "I'm sorry," she sympathizes, pausing a brief second before deciding what the hell, "my fiance shipped out a few weeks ago."
Robin looks up, a bit surprised as he moves to stand across from her. "Mr. Styles was called out?"
She shifts uncomfortably, scratching her fingernail across the wooden counter to keep her mind off of the war as much as possible. "To France for training and then assignment. I haven't gotten a letter yet informing me of where he's heading afterwards."
One of Robin's hands move over the counter, patting the top of Daisy's comfortingly. "It's tough, but I can't think of a greater man than Harry Styles fighting."
Daisy pauses, looking up at him curiously. She's never heard anyone say anything remotely kind about Harry before. He's always whispered about, gossiped about, but they're all tells of his rudeness or his harsh words. Daisy, having been privy to both, never really questioned anyone's dislike for Harry. But she'll definitely question their compliments for him.
"You know Harry really well?"
Robin nods, moving to untie his apron. "Grew up with his father. When he passed away I tried to keep an eye on Harryand Gemma. Of course that uncle of his stepped in, tried to raise Harry to be a prick like him-" Daisy giggles, never having heard Robin curse, "but good always beats bad."
He hangs his apron up, reaching under the counter for a small basket of oatmeal cookies. He places them on the counter in front of Daisy. "Free of charge, for Harry." He says, smiling softly. Daisy watches him for a moment, thinking that Robin must be a great father. He's kind, compassionate, but also tough. And judging by the two boys she's met in here before, he knows how to raise a good son. It's then that she realizes he's the only one running the bakery now, and while rations for the war have started, bread is always in demand. He'll be getting busy, busier than usual, and he might need help.
"Mr. Robin," she murmurs carefully, waiting for him to look at her expectantly, "if you'd like company or help around the shop while you're boys are away, I'd be happy to do so. Don't have to pay me or anything, I'd just like to get out of the empty house."
Robin's smile is warm and grateful, and he looks around the kitchen as if trying to picture Daisy back there helping him. Finally, he nods. "I'd love to have you Daisy, and I'd be happy to let you take home the tips for the day."
"No that's-"
"It's the least I could do," Robin interrupts, "owe it to Harry and his father."
She knows by the firmness of his voice that there's no room for arguing, and she knows tips aren't very much right now anyway so she won't feel bad for taking money from him. Plus the holidays are coming up, and she'd really like to get gifts from everyone without having to use Harry's money. It doesn't feel right to use it without him there, but then again, nothing really feels right while he's gone anyway.
~
Dear Daisy,
My training has been completed and I've received my assignment. Luckily for us, I'm staying in France, patrolling Paris in case Germany attacks. I'm sorry I didn't write sooner, it was difficult to find time during the first couple weeks, but you should know that not a day has gone by where I haven't thought of you. I ache for you, long for you so much it makes me dizzy. Patrolling Paris is wonderful, I've been here a few times, but I can't help but find you on ever corner. In the flower shops, laying among the soft petals. In the warmth of the bakeries and restaurant, beckoning me. Swirling in the air around me, shining in the stars above me. It's not the first city I've found you in and I'm certain it won't be the last.
I know I have so much to say to you. Secrets and truths that have been on the tip of my tongue since the night we met, pleading to be told. Oh how desperate I was on our last night together, aching to tell you everything. Again, I'm sorry, for I'm making you wait. I know you hate me, enough to cry for me, enough to marry me. I was once told my parents hated each other as well, and I had never seen love like theirs.
I hope you're staying warm as the days get colder, maybe planting vegetables in your garden in the back. Pumpkins grow well against the wall of the house and my mum has a wonderful pumpkin soup recipe. I'll dream of you tonight, and maybe every night, in our kitchen with the pretty blue apron around your hips, filling our house with a warmth only you could bring. My radio playing in the background, I'll wish to be sat there with you, argue over how you under-cooked the pumpkin just because I like the color of your pink cheeks when we fight.
Stay safe for me Daisy for I need a home to come home to.
-The Harry Styles x
~
Cold winds come with fall, blowing into the bakery every time the door is even slightly cracked. Daisy's lucky enough to be on oven duty, staying warm in the back while Robin works the counter. She's been working with him for almost a month now, finally skilled enough to help decorate the Halloween cookies and package them. Robin does most of the baking, but she always helps, and every time she finds a recipe of interest he goes out of his way to teach her to make it. Daisy finds working at the bakery to be quite wonderful. It's a good way to spend her time and she's never been good at cooking despite her mother's hard efforts to teach her. Meredith isn't much of a baker either so Daisy never learned that growing up either. It's exciting, working here. Like she's got a new hidden talent or secret that only her and Robin know.
It's only a matter of time before her mother or Summer starts questioning what she's been doing during the days, and she's dreading having to answer. Some may it find it silly but if she tells them about her new hobby she's afraid it'll lose its appeal. When she's here, everything is simple. She bakes and laughs with Robin, forgetting that men are fighting a few countries over. And if she's feeling particularly lonely, she can imagine that Harry's just at work, that she'll finish her goodies for the day and take them home in a box wrapped with pretty ribbon, body flushing when her husband praises her.
Even if it makes going home even more disappointing, Daisy will enjoy her time in the bakery. She's nearly curling the ribbon on a package of croissants for the girl on the other side of the counter when Robin says he's going to take the trash out back real quick. They were starting to close up when the lady came in, a Mrs. Weathers as Robin had greeted her, and he instructed y/n to quickly wrap her order. She carries the package over, smiling politely at Mrs. Weathers and charging her.
"You're Mr. Styles' fiancee aren't you?" She asks, counting out the coins in her purse. Her green eyes look Daisy up and down (as much as possible with the counter between them) but she looks more curious than judging.
"Yes ma'am."
Mrs. Weathers hums, accepting her change from Daisy. "Never thought I'd see the day he'd find a wife." Her tone is amused, mixed with a little bit of surprise, and her eyes shine at Daisy with a newfound respect.
"Why's that?" Daisy questions. She knows Harry's not well liked. He's not really liked at all, but everyone has their person. Maybe she's not Harry's person but her family made it so she is. And it turned out to be better than expected. So maybe she actually is his person and she never knew.
"I had a bit of a crush on him myself a few years ago." Mrs. Weathers admits, looking sheepish. "Tried to talk to him on the beach once, maybe get him to take me on a date in that pretty car of his. Barely spoke to me though. Ignored my flirting, even went as far as telling me I was desperate." Daisy cringes at the word. Harry used to hint at her being desperate too, but he never outright said it to her. If he had she thinks she would've hit him.
"I'm sorry," she apologizes, feeling the need to make up for Harry's rudeness. "He's got a sharp tongue and an ego big enough to keep his mouth flapping."
Mrs. Weathers laughs, waving her hand. "Don't apologize! It hurt at the time but I'm grateful he's the way he is. I probably would've married him and that would be awful. My husband Terry is the greatest love I've ever known."
Daisy smiles at the dreamy look in Mrs. Weathers eyes, but her chest aches for Harry. He may be rough on the edges, but she knows deep down he's sweet. He has a reason for all his actions, and maybe that's why he's terrible to everyone. A sort of test, wanting to see who cares enough to stick around. Or it could just be him knowing what he wants and being careless. Either way she's proud, knowing she was the one to turn him.
"It just takes him a bit to warm up." Daisy defends, "But I'm the lucky one that stuck around, I suppose."
Mrs. Weathers chuckles, picking up the package and nestling it in the crook of her elbow. "If you say so." She hums, adjusting her scarf and then she's heading out into the chilly air. Daisy stares at the door for a moment, thinking that Harry's actually a lot kinder than Mrs. Weathers and any other person that something bad to say about him.
~
Daisy's crouched on the lowest porch step, fingers begin to burn as she lights the last of the Jack-O-lanters her and Summer had carved yesterday. Harry had been right about the pumpkins, she grew so many that they were able to save two for soup, leave three on the steps here, and take two back to Summer's house.
Tossing the match to the side, Daisy watches the candle flicker through it's smile. She can't help but notice that this particular face has the same little bunny teeth as Harry, even if it's big smile is nothing like Harry's. Her heart sinks, eyes stinging as she pathetically imagines him. Not exactly sure how long she watches the flame dance, wishing it were Harry's eyes in front of her, she practically jumps out of skin when two hands jab her shoulders. "Boo!"
She almost falls off the porch steps as she leaps to her full height, the hands of Gemma being the one thing to steady her. "You scared me." Daisy says sheepishly, holding a hand to her racing heart.
"That was the point," Gemma teases, "it's Halloween." Her eyes look over Daisy, smiling falling. "And you're not dressed up at all."
Blushing, Daisy picks at the bow around her waist. "I was gonna be a kitten but I haven't had time to draw my nose and whiskers on. What are you?"
Gemma adjust the sleeves of the button up, tugging down the too-small sweater vest and holding her arms open. Her hip pops out sassily, "I'm Harry!" Daisy examines her again, realizing she's wearing her version of the outfit they mocked Harry about when wedding shopping. "I figured you could use a little Harry today, and I'm as close as it gets right now."
Daisy's glad she hadn't done her makeup yet, because Gemma's words send her to tears.
~
Dear Harry,
I've never been to Paris but I can't help but find comfort in the city knowing you're there. I'm sure it's not exactly what you were expecting for assignment; you've always been a front line man, but I'm grateful the universe is on my side this time.
I grew pumpkins like you suggested and your mother made the best soup for us after Halloween. I wish you could have been at the house with me. A girl came dressed up as a fighter pilot and I thought of how much you'd enjoy that. Gemma came over to hand out candy and stay the night, which was nice. The house is to big without you in it, but for some reason it made me miss you more.
While your secrets make me nervous, I respect your choice to wait to spill them. At first it drove me mad and I spent days like a tornado in the house. I've found a distraction though, one I think you'll be proud of. An old friend of you father's, Robin, has been teaching me to bake. His son's shipped out as well and we've found company in each other's presence. I don't like cooking, as you very much know, but I really enjoy baking. Maybe one day that'll be our routine. You'll come back from the war, safe and sound, and I'll bake lots of desserts for us to devour while you cook our meals. And of course your radio will be on, and maybe I'll make you dance with me. I happen to be a very good dancer when you're my partner, and no matter how much I try to fight it, you'll always be my greatest partner.
Stay safe for me Harry or I'll have no husband to bake for. With all my heart, Daisy o
~
Rain pelts against her umbrella, ice cold in the November air. It far too late for her to be out here, but at least it's a nice neighborhood. Not as nice as Harry's or Thomas', but still better than the one she grew up in. She doesn't dwell on that thought too long though, because she's still trying to figure out why she came here. Shivering, the red door stares back at her tear filled eyes, daring her to step forward and knock. She wants to, she really does. Wants to go inside, sit next to the wood burning stove she'd sat by with Harry that one time he brought her here. Maybe drink some tea. Maybe wrap a blanket around her frame and cry. It felt too empty to cry in their house. Her sobs echoed and rattled, reminding her she was alone.
Still in her pajamas, she'd thrown on one of Harry's peacoats and grabbed the umbrella from the coat closet, running through two streets worth of puddles. Her soaked socks remind her of that.
Sniffling, Daisy wipes her eyes with the cuffs of the coat, finally stepping onto the welcome mat. Inhaling shakily, she knocks before she can duck out and spend all night crying in the street. Harry would be so upset with her if he found out she was even out right now. He told her not to worry, yet here she was.
It takes minute for the door to be answered, lights flicking on upstairs, and then on the staircase, and then in the living room. Daisy wills herself to calm down, bouncing anxiously as the door swings open.
"Daisy?"
Anne has wrapped her robe around her nightgown, rollers mussed in her hair, and eyes bleary but her eyes widen when she meets Daisy's red rimmed ones. "Oh dear, come in! Get out of the rain!"
She waves her in, Daisy's umbrella dripping water on the rug as she closes it and places it in the rack. Anne shuts and locks the door behind her, immediately reaching to help Daisy out of her son's coat. "I'm sorry," Daisy mumbles, shaking off the damp fabric. Helpless, she watches Anne hang it by the door, bottom lip trembling with surpressed cries.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" Anne coos gently, reaching forward to push back her wet hair. Daisy crumbles under the affection, chest aching so bad she thinks it might crack open to reveal her longing heart to the cruel world. "Are you hurt?"
She shakes her head, finally breaking down. Her body shakes against Anne, shoulders hunching as her mother-in-law wraps her arms around Daisy. Anne shushes her, rubbing her hand in soothing circles over her back. "It's okay darling. You can talk to me."
Somehow, Daisy manages to choke out the one thought swirling through her brain. "I miss him so much." It's simple, but the words make her cry even more after finally admitting it. She didn't realize how much she enjoyed being around Harry, how much better he made her days. Being without him is like missing the broth in the soup, the flour in a loaf of bread, the roots of a plant. Nothing feels right and she hates it.
"Oh darling, I know." Anne coos, stroking her soggy hair tenderly. Daisy feels small in her arms, cradled like a girl as small as Kitty even though her feet are on the ground and not around Anne's waist. She thinks back on when she wishes she were as tiny as her sister, innocent to this kind of hurt, and she can't help but think this night was born out of that wish. Maybe the universe started a war, drafted the one boy she may one day love, just because she was being sad and petty. It's stupid, Hitler's not invading previous German land because she wished to be little again. But it does feel nice to have Anne hold her, tell her she understands. All Meredith’s ever done is tell her to grow up, act her age, learn to cook, get married, have kids. Everything she always felt like she could never do.
“He’s really irritating but I want him back.” Daisy murmurs around trembling breaths, beginning to calm down. Anne laughs, whispering an agreement before pulling back enough to see her face. She strokes her cheeks tenderly, motherly.
“Let’s her you dry clothes and a cup of tea, yeah?” Daisy nods shyly, letting Anne guide her up the stairs and into a random bedroom. She digs through the dresser, pulling out a cotton tee and striped pajama bottoms. The same pajama bottoms Harry owns multiple pairs of. “These were his favorites as a boy. Don’t fit him now but I can’t get rid of them.”
Daisy changes into them in the bathroom, recognizing the scent of Harry immediate. He still smells the same today but more manly. Maybe it's that nice cologne he wears that makes him smell older, more mature. But his teen scent is comforting too. The two of them, feeling small but together. It makes her ache a bit more, but she smiles at it. Maybe Harry's thinking about her, smirking as he fall asleep and imagining her crying. Soulmates maybe, reaching out to jab at her throbbing heart. It's a very Harry thing to do, she thinks.
And she continues to think of him when she crawls into his childhood bed, an old record player playing an album he loved as a kid, with her mug of tea on his old nightstand. Buried in his sheets, it almost feels like he's there too. That's how it should be, husband and wife, buried next to each other forever.

GOLDEN AGE
Pairing: Bryce × f!MC( Tesse Sterling )
Author's note: Sooo! Hi... My name is Chahnaz and this my first fanfic... actually it's my first post ever so i don't know how it's going to come out . So for anyone out there who will actually read this thing .. THANK YOU!! I hope you like it .
Tumblr media
It's been 30 years. 30 years since Bryce and Tesse gave their vows to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives .30 years since Tesse called Bryce her husband for the first time. 30 years since Bryce called Tesse his wife for the first time (and by the way he really loved it.. in fact he loved it so much that he called her only that for the first few months. It's like he forgot her name or something). 30 years in which they had two beautiful children. Alexander (Alex) and Alexis. And no they're not twins. Bryce thought that he was funny by giving the girl that name after Tesse got to name the first born and as much as she wanted to argue with him about giving the child that name for the wrong reasons, she didn't since she actually liked it and because she promised him she would let him name their second baby if they ever had one.
30 years in which they encountered both happiness and loss. Like happiness of celebrating weddings. of Danny to Sienna. Of Elijah to Phoebe. And of Jackie to Mike. Yes.. Jackie got married. Make no fault it wasn't easy for the poor lad to convince her.. in fact it took him months of proposing for her to say yes . Happiness of seeing Keiki go through college, getting her dream job and meeting the love of her life. But they also went through big losses. Like the loss of a patient or a loved one. It wasn't easy but they made it through. Together.
In these 30 years, Bryce and Tesse made it through major big stones in their careers. In fact Bryce now is the head of neurosurgery. And Tesse filled Ethan's place as the head of the diagnostics team after his retirement much to June's frustration. They were known as the power couple at the hospital. Granted, it took both of them a lot of hard work to get where they are but it was worth it.
IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE. ALL OF IT.
Tesse was sitting at the desk in the diagnostics office going through all the details that were presented to her for their lastest patient when her thoughts wondered to her spouse. She knows that she should focus. Christopher, the patient, still hasn't made it from Seattle. He was a wealthy 78 years old who seeked them as his last resort after his last 11 doctors came up empty handed for a reason to his symptoms. Yes, they started treating rich patients too since the whole ordeal 30 years ago because both rich and poor people have the right to the best treatment, adding to the fact that the hospital gains a good penny from the wealthy ones. But still as much as she tries to focus on the words in front of her, she can't. And she doesn't blame that on her aging brain, that as unfocused as it gets it's still as sharp as it was back in her twenties. But she blames it on her husband's behavior. Bryce has been acting quite weirdly as of late. She speculates that it's because of their marriage's 30th anniversary. But he has prepared surprises for her like that before but never acted like this. He spent a lot of time out which is surprising considering he never goes out without her.. or he prefers not to. Adding to the fact that he has been avoiding her and being really quit most of the time, which obviously isn't like Bryce since he's a talking machine that doesn't stop unless he's sleeping. So what could possibly caused this change in behavior. Well only one way to find out, she's going to talk to him later at home. She'll prepare a nice meal to celebrate their b-day while he's in the hospital since apparently he has a surgery that's bound to end a little bit late. And over dinner She'll attack, well not quite laterally cause she's not crazy but she will rain down on him with questions. Now that she forged a plan she feels a little less unfocused and goes back to work.
After a long day of work, Tesse is on her way out of the hospital when she decides to check out the surgery board to see exactly when Bryce's surgery end... or so she tells herself. And lo and behold, there's no surgery preformed at this hour by him. Well that ads to the list of suspicions. Why did he lie to her??. Tesse goes to check his office to see if he's still in. He's not. After that she goes to see if Danny by any chance saw him. He informs her that Bryce has left a couple of hours ago. So he's probably at home. On her way to her car, she gets her phone out to call him but he didn't answer " of course " said Tesse and not because he's used to not answering his phone in fact he's used to nag at her every time she didn't answer his calls . But because the man went to great lengths to hid whatever he's doing. Now remember how I said she wasn't going to attack him because she's not crazy... FORGOT THAT. She totally will.
After the whole drive thinking what he could possibly be doing she makes it home. And at her first step inside the door, she calls his name "BRYCE" you could totally hear the anger in her voice but she was met with silence, that is intel she hears one of the doors opening. Turning around she sees her son who was visiting after his law school finals to spend some time with his parents." Mom?" said Alex " .. you okay?" she could see the confusion writing on his face because of her near scream.
"Yeah, sweetheart. I'm fine." replied Tesse.
"Then why are screaming dad's name?"
"Well, I don't know where he is. He's not answering his phone and he lied to me about having a late surgery. And Now he's not even home. So.."
"Do you want me to try calling him?"
"Sure. Though, I doubt he's going to answer."
And sure enough, Bryce still didn't answer his phone.
"Okay... So, isn't today supposed to be your marriage anniversary?"
"Yeah" Tesse answered dejectedely. She really didn't expect to spend it this way.
"So why don't we go to a restaurant? Have a nice dinner? Just you and me? "
"I don't know..."
"Please, mom? I miss spending time with you."
Not wanting to lower her son's spirits, she agreed and went to change her clothes. She wore a beautiful little black dress that fit her form perfectly. Sure, she was sad and angry at Bryce for ditching her but she didn't have to look that way. Not when her son went out of his way to lift her spirits. She really did raise a gentleman.
By the time she was done, she found Alex waiting for her at the living room dressed in a dress shirt and pants. He took her hand than kissed her knuckles" Happy anniversary, Mom" than placed her palm at the crook of his own. And they made their way down to his car.
The direction Alex was driving in, was familiar to Tesse but not to any restaurant she knew. Only when he parked in the drive way to the huge mansion had she realized where he took her. It was her parents mansion. She haven't been in this place since her mother's funeral over 5 years ago. She has been thinking lately of renovating it but it was a project that would take a huge amount of time. Time she didn't have. But still that doesn't answer the question as to why would her son bring her here. The place is supposed to be deserted.
"Alex? Why are we here?" She asked.
But Alex didn't answer her question, instead he lead her to the front door, taking out a key when they made it there and opened the door. Where he got that key she will never know, but she didn't have time to wonder about that a lot cause as they made their way inside, the light suddenly turned on and in front of her she saw all of her friends, Alexis, her brother Connor and in the middle, sporting a huge grin in his face, stood the one and only Bryce Lahela.
" Happy anniversary, Tesse " said everyone.
Through her overwhelm and joy, she could see the place has been cleaned and tidied. It was like no time has passed. She looked into Bryce's eyes knowing that was probably all his doing. He smiled, making his way toward her. Taking her hands, he said:
" Happy anniversary, Love. I hope you're not too mad at me "
And in that moment she knew why she could never be mad at Bryce Lahela.
The end
Hi again! It's me.. And you probably knew that. Again, I want to say thank you to the people who took time out of their day to read this. I know there wasn't much to it but I didn't want to make it longer than it was. Plus, it took me more than 3 hours. So there... I hope you enjoyed it and thank you. Again.

Stand Still
:05
Two Months Ago
November 24th, 2022
Thanksgiving Day
Christen slowly rubbed her belly as the car started slowing down to stop in front of her parent's house. It was a maternal habit she had immediately picked up around her fifth month of pregnancy. She was now eight months, due sometime in mid-December. She was huge, something she had been struggling with for a time but Dallas had always reassured she was beautiful each and every time. Christen was ready for her little one to come out, anticipation of having a mini-me around seemed so exciting. She could hardly wait.
Dallas had parked, turning to Christen.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Dallas looked concerned, scared that his wife was hiding something from him.
"Yes, I'm sure. Just feeling a little big today." She sighed.
"You're beautiful baby, and even more so that you're carrying our angel. It'll never change." Dallas reassured, pulling her head down to meet his lips. His hand smoothly rubbed over Christen's belly as Christen sighed in contentment. Sometimes she needed to be reassured.
Dallas smiled at her before exiting the car to come to her side, helping her out. Christen heaved herself up against Dallas's weight before straightening her black sweater dress. She had taken a waddle up once she hit her third trimester, her back consistently making her ache, but she didn't mind.
"Ready?" Dallas questioned, making sure all of the food packed and Christen were okay.
She nodded, beginning her penguin walk while Dallas quietly chuckled in the background. He loved her walk. The fact that it was caused by their own creation made it special to him. He wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Christen stepped up the stairs slowly, huffing breaths from exhaustion. It seemed like every time she did anything, she was short of breath.
Christen immediately opened the door as she stepped in front, seeing no reason to wait as this was her own home.
Everyone had cheered as they walked through door, swarming around Christen and her big belly. Her mood had immediately shifted from calm to annoyed. She hadn't been big on touching lately, besides from Dallas. The feel of having multiple people around since she had revealed she was pregnant had been challenging. She normally would want tons of hugs and warm touches, but lately she hadn't wanted any of it. Being uncomfortable pregnant was enough without all the maneuvering she had to do to even hug someone. She'd rather avoid it.
"Did you guys make it safely?" Christen's mother asked once they got settled.
"Yes mom." Christen rolled her eyes, her mother the epitome of worrisome.
"We did Maria, thank you." Dallas replied, his hand smoothing over Christen's bangs as she leaned into him appreciating the warmth he'd given her.
"I know baby, you're ready for this to be over." Maria sat down next to her daughter, patting her knee. "She'll be here before you know it."
Christen groaned, "I want her out now. I'm ready to sleep normally again."
Dallas chuckled lowly into Christen's head, rubbing her shoulder.
"Alright guys, time to eat." Christen's dad called from the kitchen.
Dallas removed himself swiftly, his hands held out to pull Christen up. She stumbled slightly as he pulled a little too hard, but quickly balanced herself again. They all led themselves into the kitchen, cousins and grandparents crowded around the table.
"So, how long are you going to be off work after the pregnancy Dallas?" Christen's grandpa, Jack Collins, asked.
"About three months, longer if we don't find a nanny within that time frame."
"A nanny?" Christen's grandmother, Lucille Collins, exasperated. "In my day, the wife was a stay at home mother. You don't want to do that Chrissy?"
Christen screamed internally, her grandmother always a "do-it-my-way" figure. She didn't like when someone stepped out of those boundaries, and being a full time wife and mother was one of those boundaries.
"I figured we'd both go back to work, me in the gallery and him at the office. Life doesn't stop even when children come into the picture Gam." Christen forced a smile, her voice short.
Lucille scoffed, "You should always be in your children's life. You miss all the important milestones when you hire someone to take care of your child."
"Well it's 2022, not 1963." Christen snapped, her patience wearing thin. She wanted the discussion dropped and she wasn't in the mood to argue. Everyone around the table had gone quiet, their utensils clanking awkwardly against the expensive china Christen's parents always pulled out for the holidays.
"I think it's time to play White Elephant, don't you guys?" Her father announced, the tension relieved once the family tradition had been suggested.
Everyone piled their dishes into the kitchen and immediately moved into the family room.
Present Day
January 19th 2023
"Can we come in?" Andrew asked softly, not wanting to set the woman off.
Caroline debated silently, her mind reeling as she looked over the two people in Dallas's life she knew about very well. Christen especially. Dallas and Caroline had met three years ago at a bar in Times Square. Unfortunately she had learned the next morning that Dallas was married when he had lost his mind over the drunken mistake. Caroline had felt terrible, both of them highly intoxicated without anyone to stop what had been done.
Dallas had apologized profusely, leaving shortly thereafter. Unfortunately a month later, Caroline had found she was pregnant and a few more weeks later, with twins. A boy and a girl. She knew she had to contact Dallas, he had deserved the right to know.
Dallas had been less than happy to hear the news the day she had called the office. He went ballistic, cursing to the Gods. He calmed over the next few days eventually giving Caroline a sensible situation, her to be a secret.
They had gone no further than a friendly hug and a doctor's appointment but after the third trimester, they had quickly become more. Lingering touches and stolen kisses had become a thing and before they knew it, sex had been involved along with feelings. The twins had been born and Dallas promised to leave Christen. In the mean time, however, she would stay up here and wait.
"Sure." Caroline swallowed.
"I'm sure you know who this is?" Andrew pestered, seeing if the woman would lie.
Caroline nodded her head, ashamed and guilty. "Yes, it's nice to meet you Christen."
Christen found herself to be strangely quiet, not quite feeling the moment to be real. She was looking her husband's mistress in her face on her own porch and Christen couldn't help but feel her blood boil.
All three of them walked through the home, a hallway dividing the rooms in between. Overall the house was lovely, hints of Dallas everywhere Christen looked. Pictures of him had been posted everywhere with their family. Christen's heart tugged in hurt as she eventually looked down at her feet.
Andrew was disgusted, silent murderous rage filling his body as he thought about bringing Dallas back to life just to kill him again. He was utterly appalled, he never knew his best friend since college could do such a thing. His fingers interlaced with Christen's as he noticed her state. She wouldn't look anywhere, her curls covering most of her face as she kept eye contact with the floor.
"Would you guys like anything to drink?" Caroline offered.
"A water would be nice." Andrew suggested.
Caroline nodded and pulled herself to the fridge, producing two bottles of water.
"May I ask why you two came to visit me?" Caroline finally sliced the room full of tension.
"The insurance policy needs to be handled." Andrew curtly stated, infuriated by the fact that this woman was bold and daring. In a moment like this, she didn't have the right to ask any questions.
Caroline nodded, "What did you guys need to know?"
"Did you even feel guilty sleeping with a married man or is that the whore in you?" Christen asked, her courage had finally found a voice.
Caroline was taken aback, not surprised by the accusation but nevertheless shocked that Christen had asked it in this certain way. She cleared her throat and swallowed," Listen, what happened between Dallas and I will stay between us, even if he no longer is here."
"Well it's Christen's business now since she now has to file for you to be taken care of, so make this trip worth our while and she may consider giving you a part of her trust." Andrew worded slowly, driving each word home.
Caroline felt intimidated, Dallas had said Andrew was a gentle giant. It was nothing like the steel gentleman before her. "Ask away then."
"When did the affair start?" Christen murmured.
"May 2020." Caroline offered. "We met at a bar in Times Square and we had sex."
"That's the night you conceived the twins?" Andrew questioned.
Caroline nodded and Christen became sick. That was the month she had had the third miscarriage. Each one hurt more than the last, she would make it tiny bits farther but it would always end up with her in a hospital bed for 24 hours and bed rest immediately after. Caroline had conceived just fine. Christen knew it had been her. The reason conceiving had been impossible was on her end.
"Did you ever feel any remorse?" Christen swallowed, her mind unraveling.
Caroline sighed deeply, "In moments I did, but I won't lie, for the most part no."
Christen nodded, taking in her words.
"And what were Dallas' thoughts?" Andrew pressed.
"H- He felt guilty, every night and day. He would always talk about you and how much it hurt to cheat. He said that his fear of hurting you overrode his guilty conscience." Caroline admitted.
Christen finally had gotten a good look at Caroline. She was wearing a ratty old tee, no doubt Dallas' and a pair of leggings and white fuzzy socks. Her blonde hair was in a sloppy bun and her face was swollen as if she had been crying all night.
Christen was mindful of her next question. She wanted to stir the pot.
"Why didn't either one of you stop if you both felt guilty?"
Caroline took a deep breath, "We loved each other."
Christen froze, as did Andrew. Andrew wanted to strangle her from across the coffee table that was placed strategically in front of them. She had the audacity to claim such a thing but in Andrew's mind, Dallas had loved neither one of them. He loved the game of forbidden treats. He knew Dallas too well, that Dallas wanted his cake and to eat it too. Andrew thought he had changed when he met Christen but he had been dead wrong.
Andrew flicked his eyes over to Christen, her reaction being gauged. He didn't know what Christen was feeling, she wasn't even looking up from the coffee table. She simply had her arms folded under her chin with her fingers splayed across her mouth.
Christen didn't want to ask any more questions, it seemed like all the ones she had before had disappeared into thin air. She didn't want to learn any new secrets about Dallas. Everything she had learned already had been enough. Although, there were a couple questions she needed answered.
"Did you know Dallas was part of illegal activity?" Christen voiced.
Caroline nodded sheepishly.
Another thing Christen didn't know.
"It wasn't by him telling me. I had just caught a couple of transactions going through his bank when he asked me to check his bank account. A lawyer only makes so much. He confessed when I started asking too many questions." Caroline admitted.
So she had known everything, from the imminent danger that always lurked around to his relationship with Christen. She had known his finances and every back door about Dallas. So exactly why had Dallas kept Christen around? It seemed that he had everything and more up here with Caroline.
"He loved you...Christen," Caroline started. "He loved you so much that he wouldn't leave. He talked about you all the time, and I know you've got so many things coming through you right now but do not ever doubt what he felt for you." She sounded broken, as if this was hard for her to admit.
Christen shook, in hurt and anger. "Do not tell me what you think. It doesn't justify what I know."
Caroline nodded, preceding to back off. She didn't want to cause any more harm to anyone. She had the damage in front of her. Christen looked, in literal terms, broken. She had bruises on her face, her tight brown curls layered around her forehead and cheeks. She looked to be breathing hard and from what Caroline had heard, she had been beaten with a bat before she was knocked out.
"I think it's time to go. The lawyers will be in contact." Andrew softly spoke, standing up from the teal colored couch.
Caroline stood along with him, Andrew reaching out to pull Christen from the couch. Christen winced, the sharp pain of her ribs catching her.
"Are you okay?" Andrew worriedly questioned.
"Are the meds in the car?"
"Yes, should be in the glove compartment." Andrew answered to Christen.
Caroline stayed quiet, her heart hurting for Christen. She had no right, that she knew. But she couldn't help but place herself at the scene, imagining herself in Christen's shoes. Caroline watched Christen cautiously, ready to jump to her aid. She may have done heinous acts but that didn't take away from her caring nature.
Christen made it to the front door slowly but surely, Andrew's aid helping immensely. Caroline held the door open so no further obstruction could hinder Christen's progress.
"I know this really isn't my place. I just want to say I'm sorry. Things between Dallas and I...they should have never happened. There's nothing I could say or do, that would make this better." Caroline ejected.
Christen's blood boiled but she held her tongue. She had nothing further to say to Dallas's mistress. Andrew nodded to her apology before escorting Christen to the car. Andrew slid Christen in the car softly, aware to not stir her abruptly before he grabbed the pills and put them in her hand.
Christen gulped the pills down quickly, begging internally for the pain to stop. Nothing could make the pain in her heart go away. Dallas had ripped her to shreds and seeing Caroline today had done the final tinge on her heart. She had kids with the love of her life. She had gotten everything in life that Christen had wanted.
Christen hadn't realized that tears were now streaming down her face until Andrew gripped her hand from her face and shushed her. Christen wailed, her body racked with sobs. Andrew didn't know what to do, however streams of tears followed his face as well. After a few minutes, Christen finally calmed. Her body shook from time to time but Andrew could tell the worst was over, for now.
Christen stayed silent as Andrew gripped her hand and started the car. His thumb pressed against the push to start and off they were.
Christen for the most part had slept throughout the car ride. The darkness enveloping them as the trip to the motel back in town was almost over. Andrew quietly looked over at Christen's sleeping frame, detailing her. Her curls draped across her face as she breathed quietly. Her pink lips were parted slightly due to the positioning of her hand against her right cheek. Her lashes fluttered against her cheeks as she moved slightly to make herself comfortable. Andrew was entranced. He saw Christen for what she was, not for what she put on.
Andrew pulled into an empty parking lot, the motel lights lit up the dark scenery. Trees lined the property, slightly moving in the wind. There were a couple of other cars, but for the most part the motel was vacant.
He triple checked Christen's sleeping state before moving out of the car to grab a room for Christen and him. The steps to the reception office had him on edge, but his feelings were kept in check. He couldn't be a weakling now.
The receptionist, the same from the night before was here again.
"Another night?" the clerk asked.
Andrew breathed out a snort, "Unfortunately."
The clerk rolled his eyes and took the card that was held between Andrew's slim hand. Andrew looked around the place briefly. The lights were dingy, the floors were dirty, and the furniture in the lobby was tore in multiple places. Andrew wondered how this place was even still open, what with the lack of customers and upkeep.
Andrew quickly gripped his card back and stumbled out of the office area to help Christen upstairs. As he grasped his thoughts, he opened Christen's door to find her awake. Her curls were pulled towards the back of her head in a messy bun. Strands of small curls framed her face, blocking some of the damage done by her attackers. He still thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, despite everything she'd been through in the last week.
Christen clung to his arm as she pulled herself out of the sedan. She hated feeling this way, helpless. It only made her thoughts worse. She still had so many unanswered questions for Caroline and Dallas. But one was someone she hated, the other is dead. She couldn't bare sitting another minute with the woman who got her life way before she had actually started hers.
As Christen started to move, her ribs began to throb heavily. With a sharp intake of breath, she doubled over, causing Andrew to catch her immediately.
"What's wrong? What hurts?" his frantic voice and hands moving around her.
"Meds, please." Christen gritted out.
He immediately moved Christen to the side of the car to hold her weight before going to grab her medication. The rattle of the pills in the bottle calmed Christen down, at least she wouldn't be in any physical pain for awhile. The emotional pain was something she hadn't quite grasped yet. After swallowing her two white pills, she stretched up slowly to ease her pain. Andrew caught her as she stumbled and pulled her arm around his neck so she could have some balance.
The walk to the room was silent, no words spoken between Andrew and Christen. Neither one of them knew what to say. What exactly was there to say? 'I'm sorry your husband cheated on you and got himself killed by doing illegal business?' or 'I'm sorry that your best friend wasn't who you thought he was?'. Neither option sounded like one the other wanted to hear.
As soon as they had stepped into the room, Andrew had placed Christen on the couch and went to the kitchen.
"Coffee?" Andrew's voice sounded.
Christen nodded, even though it was late, she couldn't help but want coffee to soothe whatever she was feeling. The Keurig coffee machine began to whir, keeping Christen occupied with her thoughts.
Christen stared out of the window to the empty parking lot, "What am I supposed to do Drew?"
Her voice was soft, tears laden in the thickness.
"I don't know." He answered quietly.
