“We need to leave before you end up pregnant”
You and Jack sat at the table listening as the Sesac awards continued.
You had noticed Jack watching you instead of the event going on right in front of him.
You smiled, “yes?”
“You look so fucking good” he leaned into you, whispering in your ear.
The way he was fidgeting in his seat, told you he was ready to leave already.
“Baby, you still have to get your award” you whispered, fingering a stray curl on the back of his neck.
“Then stop doing that” he blushed. He knew what you were doing, and it was working.
When Jack's name was announced, you stood up clapping and hollering for him. Your support was really all that mattered to him, making the warmth in his stomach grow more intense.
You were intently listening to his speech, nodding and agreeing. Suddenly you heard him say “And to my wife- You look so beautiful in that dress. We need to leave before you end up pregnant.”
You were shocked that he said it, all eyes on you as the room cheered and laughed with him.
You began to sit down when Jack jogged over to you.
“I wasn’t joking, let’s go!” You both giggled and ran hand and hand to the car as he held his award close to his chest.

Where did you see the new lord huron song is coming out? how do people hear about these things?
it’s sorta a puzzle game honestly aksjdkdkdkd like they announced that they composed the score here and you can hear an original lord huron song in the trailer, there’s a lord huron discord server where some people find things out (super investigators??) beforehand and tell the server, the other day someone on reddit posted about the SESAC listing for a song called “ace up my sleeve” filed by lord huron, and a few days ago i looked up the movie (called the starling girl) on youtube and found the clip they released where you can hear a portion of the new song singing “an ace up my sleeve” which confirmed it (to me at least) to be the name of the song :D i know personally i follow the reddit page and am in the discord server to piece everything i can together (and then i come here to scream about it)

"I’m sure that’s true, but if Josh and Jake don’t read music, they don’t need anyone to transcribe it for them either. Lots of songwriters and musicians don’t read or write music, it’s not necessary.
Not being snarky, but how do Jake's guitar chords get written down along with all other musical parts for publishing purposes if somebody isn't transcribing?"
Exactly what this person said. Music HAS to be transcribed before it's released and commercialized, otherwise you'll run into numerous legal issues. All performance artists who are signed to a label or company have a number of legal obligations to either BMI, ASCAP or SESAC and music transcription is in all cases, mandatory. This is why independent artists who simply release their stuff on SoundCloud or social media are constantly getting ripped off and robbed. It's true that artists don't need to know music theory or how to write and read music, I'm pretty sure Paul McCartney can't read a music sheet to save his life. But to say they don't need the music to be transcribed is BS lmao you literally need it in written form to even do anything with it in the first place. Releasing and performing music without having it transcribed and therefore registered as yours, is quite literally the equivalent of having a child and refusing to get a birth certificate for them.

Concept idea would be to tickle Jack in public and he gets embarrassed
I imagine the two of you are at an award show event. Maybe the Sesac music awards, and you’re both standing up talking to a group of people.
The night has dragged on and on, Jack had won all the awards he was nominated for, not that you were surprised. “Baby” you whispered as you gripped his hand tighter. He was deep in conversation but you were exhausted, had to pee and wanted to get back home to the girls.
You crossed your legs tighter, “Jack, I have to pee” you whispered and he didn’t hear you. He was still distracted, you poked his side and he jumped. A small laugh escaped him and he turned bright red “baby” he whispered to you with wide eyes.
You laughed to yourself, “I’ll be right back.”
When you came back you came back to the group poking fun at your small moment with Jack. “I’m not ticklish, she just startled me” Jack scoffed and rolled his eyes playfully.
Someone in the group made eye contact with you and you giggled “yeah, he’s definitely not ticklish. Not at all.” You wiggled your eyebrow at the sarcasm leaving your body and everyone laughed.
Jack shook his head and held you closer to him by the waist. “Just you wait until we get home” he said in a whisper yet raspy tone, sending shivers down your spine. You smiled at him and he smirked back at you.

Make More Money In Music
Music has been a passion for many people around the world. From the ancient times to now, music has been an integral part of human culture. It has the power to connect people, evoke emotions, and create memories. For some, music is more than just a hobby, it's a career and a means to make a living.
However, making money in the music industry is not an easy task. With the rise of streaming services and the decline of physical sales, it has become even more challenging for musicians to earn a decent income. But with the right strategies and mindset, it is possible to make more money in music.
Here are some tips that can help musicians to earn more money in the music industry:
1. Diversify Your Income Streams: Gone are the days when musicians could solely rely on album sales and live performances to make money. In today's digital age, there are various ways to monetize your music. You can sell your music on online platforms like Bandcamp, iTunes, and Amazon Music. You can also offer digital downloads, merchandise, and concert tickets on your website or social media channels. Collaborating with brands and getting endorsements can also be a lucrative source of income for musicians.
2. Build A Strong Online Presence: In today's digital age, having a strong online presence is crucial for any musician. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter can help you connect with your audience and promote your music. You can also use platforms like YouTube and TikTok to showcase your talent and gain a following. With a significant online presence, you can attract more fans, which can translate into more sales and revenue.
3. Network And Collaborate: Networking is a vital aspect of the music industry. Building relationships with other musicians, producers, and industry professionals can open doors to new opportunities. Collaborating with other artists can also help you tap into new audiences and expand your fan base. Moreover, collaborations can also lead to joint performances and shared revenue, increasing your income.
4. Leverage The Power Of Live Performances: Live performances are one of the primary sources of income for musicians. It not only allows them to showcase their talent but also provides an opportunity to interact with their fans. As a musician, you can explore different avenues for live performances, such as concerts, festivals, corporate events, and even virtual concerts. You can also consider booking a tour to reach a wider audience and generate more income.
5. Invest In Yourself And Your Music: To make more money in the music industry, you need to invest in yourself and your music. This could mean investing in professional recordings, music videos, and promotional materials. It is also essential to continuously improve your skills as a musician. Attend workshops, take music lessons, and learn new instruments to diversify your talent and increase your marketability.
6. Protect Your Music: In the digital age, it is crucial to protect your music from copyright infringement. Registering your songs with a performing rights organization (PRO) like ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC can help you earn royalties when your music is played on the radio, TV, or streaming services. It is also essential to have proper contracts in place when collaborating with other artists or working with labels to ensure that you are getting paid for your work.
Making money in the music industry requires hard work, dedication, and a business mindset. It is not just about creating great music, but also about understanding the business side of the industry. By diversifying your income streams, building a strong online presence, networking, leveraging live performances, investing in yourself and your music, and protecting your work, you can increase your chances of making more money in music. With the right approach, you can turn your passion for music into a profitable career.
