IDV Men and their Love Languages pt.1

Lucky Guy

If one were to ask Lucky what his love language is, he wouldn’t know. He hasn’t had much of an opportunity to show or receive any type of love throughout his life. That being said, an embarrassed, but happy, blush will appear anytime anyone praises him. Every “good job.” He gets after a match leaves him stuttering out a soft “thanks” and avoiding eye contact. These Words of Affirmation, however, always make him feel appreciated.

-Lucky has been stuck in the Manor for a long time

-He hasn’t really complained, since there isn’t much for him back in the ‘real’ world

-plus, he got to meet you

-Your first match together, he showed you the ropes, and made a habit of commending you each time you did well

-You’re able to observe that he acts this way with most people

-he’s on no one’s bad side. 

-Even the hunters like him for how generally sweet he is

-You get close to him through these words of praise. Every time he manages an impressive feat, you make sure to find him to express your compliments and to watch his face go red

-Though, from you, he gets a lot more used to it

-And, eventually, you have to admit you fell for him, all of him

-It’s been a long time since you joined the survivors at the Manor, and you became close with Lucky in that time, but never expressed your desire to become more than friends. 

-During a certain match, you’ve managed to evade the hunter for the majority of the game

-You noticed early on when Lucky let you all know that the hunter was near him, and as far as you knew, that fact hadn’t changed. 

-You’re peacefully decoding when the priestess calls upon you to help her bridge a connection across the map. You comply, standing by the nearby wall and allowing Fiona to complete her skill, suddenly, you notice Lucky’s status marker go down to half-health

-And suddenly, he’s right next to you, now incapacitated

-As the portal dissipates, you begin to heal him up

-When he’s back to full health, you take hold of his wrist before he leaves to find a different cipher

-“You’re doing great!” You say, watching as he instantly becomes bashful, “You’ve got this, I love you!”

-He’s shocked! You… do? Through his dazed demeanor, he manages a strong “I love you, too!” And runs off

-Both to hide his embarrassment, and to win, for you!

Servais Le Roy

Again, with a lot of thinking, Servais’ love language is Words of Affirmation. For someone like him who is cunning and enjoys being the focus of the crowd, words of affirmation are a powerful way to make him feel valued. When he performs for you, be sure to acknowledge his talent and skills.

-Servais has spent most of his life pushing towards his goal of becoming a great magician

-Getting to the point where he believes that he can be the creator of the perfect, genuine magic trick

-Often he attempts to create a new trick and will perform for a test or for approval, if he believes the trick is worthy of an audience

-You’re the first he goes to, sometimes just to show you what he’s been working on

-He thrives off of the encouragement you give him

-If you happen to see a part of his trick that he displays, tell him

-he’s grateful to have the true audience outlook from you, plus, he’ll praise you for your “good eye”

-If he ever puts on a big performance, he’ll expect a critique from you at the end

-"Wow, that was incredible! You nailed it, and everyone loved it. I'm so proud of you for putting yourself out there and sharing your talent with everyone."

-If you said something like that to him, he’d melt, he’s head-over-heels, and will not hesitate to reciprocate your expressive words with how much he appreciates you as well!

Kurt Frank

As an avid reader, and a creative spirit, Kurt’s love language is gift giving! There are many things he loves to give: stories formulated by his own mind, small treasures found on each of his “adventures,” even the books he holds most precious will become a gift for the one he loves the most.

-Kurt asked you one day if you had a favorite book, a few days before your birthday

-You couldn’t give him an answer then

-and you had forgotten the question as you were swept away with other things to attend to

-Then, the time of your birthday arrived

-You weren’t expecting any gifts, really, save for what the “Baron” of the Manor allotted for you, which was usually some kind of decoration for your room that had to do with your skill, and of course, a letter that revealed a part of your past

-It happened to everyone, but you happened to be feeling a little down in the dumps about it

-That is, until Kurt comes along with a wrapped gift signed with your name.

-“It isn’t much,” he claimed, noting, “my resources were limited.”

-You were overjoyed that he even thought of you, much less brought you something

-You carefully tore open the wrapping.

-“Gulliver’s Travels” read the title of the book you held, one you recognized as Kurt’s favorite. 

-An addition in familiar handwriting underneath caught your eye

-“With the annotations of Kurt Frank” 

-He annotated his favorite book for you.

-Needless to say, that is the best gift you’d receive throughout your time in the manor, though he does the same for you with different books once you’ve expressed your interest.

-If you do the same for him, oh wow! He’d be on cloud nine!

-Even if it isn’t the type of book he’d normally enjoy, if it had your thoughts and feeling on the page, he’d cherish it forever

Naib Subedar

Despite his stoic look, Naib’s love language is physical touch. Naib has had so much affection to give bottled up inside him for a long time. The truth is, Naib is a romantic at heart, but has created a wall to cover his true personality. That is necessary when one works with the horrors and bloodshed Naib has had to see. Now that he’s safer, he’s not going to release his inner love until he finds the right one. One can’t forget about friends as well! Naib will have a few people he’s closely attached to, but there is something special about his lover. He’s not the type for pda until a long time into a relationship, but early on, not much is off-limits once in private. That sounds horribly inappropriate, but I mean it in the sweet way?

-It takes Naib a long time to actually confess his love for you, but in a way, it was obvious for a while

-He’s always go to you if injured during a match

-and be the first to save you when you’re in trouble

-he’s try as hard as he could not to be evident about anything, he really was

-it’s ok though, you liked to see him almost silently beg for your attention

-After he confesses and you reciprocate?

-Double, no, at least triple that.

-A quick peck on the cheek before each match, from him to you if you’re the one with the match, or you to him if he’s leaving. 

-A good morning hug when you see each other for the first time in the mornings

-that is, up until you start spending nights with him

-He’d honestly have trouble sleeping alone after the first time you sleep in the same bed together (not like that)

-It’s awkward at first, he doesn’t really know what to do

-but just guide him along, he’ll quickly gain confidence once he confirms that you really do feel the way he feels

-Every night is spent held tight in his arms

-He loves it when you run your hands up and down his back

-Or run your fingers through his hair

-Being with you, touching you, loving you feels like heaven to him

-He’s just a touch-starved, smitten boy with so much love to give

William Ellis

A boisterous man! He’s excitable and energetic at all times. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with him. Acts of Service is how he best shows and receives love! He’s the type to lend a helping hand when he notices someone in need. Thus, he has associated himself with many different types of people.

-One of William’s most often spoken phrases is “Do you need anything?”

-He means it, he’s willing to do almost anything for you

-He’s constantly saving you in matches

-is it because he loves you, or because he can’t stand decoding?

-“Why can’t it be both?” He’ll question

-It’s both

-He always makes sure you’re ok, taking extra time to patch up any more serious injuries

-or picking you up and carrying you all the way to the Infirmary if you look worse off

-ask him for a glass of water before bed, he’s practically already gotten it.

-He’ll be happy to oblige to a ‘goodnight kiss’

-Anything you ask, genuinely.

-He’ll expect the same, though

-Maybe you can’t carry him, not many people can

-but allow him to lean on you when he most needs it

-if he sleeps in late, bring him a plate of breakfast in bed! It's his second favorite type of meal besides a large steak dinner.

-and of course, he’d do the same for you, without a doubt.

I know you have done a lot of IDV but I hope been wanting for these underrated bois to get attention, how will Magician, Explorer, William and Jose react to getting a kiss on the cheek by their soon to be darling after they successfully rescue them from the chair?

Very curious to see their reaction, mostly Magician and Explorer - From an Magician and Explorer main

As a fellow Magician main, yeah sure.

Fair warning these are short due to there being four characters.

Yandere! Servais, Kurt, William, and Jose reactions to getting kissed by darling after being rescued

Possible Trigger Warnings: Yandere Behavior, Delusions (Kurt), Mentioned Trauma (Jose)

Magician

- He's surprised at first, yet doesn't mind it and is actually quite charmed.

- Servais is quite a calm man and has been used to praise due to being on stage.

- He's been quite close with you in this manor game but he's surprised you were so bold.

- He thought you were just companions trying to survive but after he felt your lips on his cheek, he wonders.

- Were you just being a flirt or actually into him...?

- Was it just how you showed gratitude?

- He'd have to just watch and see....

- Care to have a glass of wine with him?

Explorer

- Kurt's in heaven!

- All of his deepest fantasies came true in an instant!

- He's your hero, your savior, just like what he dreamed to be.

- He may be a decoder but he'll happily body block for you.

- He can't help but be on cloud 9 for the rest of the match, decoding with you as he daydreams...

- You can bet he's finding you at the manor by the end of this match.

- You love him the same, yes?

- You'll want to marry him, yes?

Forward

- William's embarrassed, but flattered.

- He can't tell if you're a fan of him or actually like him romantically.

- He'll admit he hasn't seen any definite other signs that you like him as he does you, but he'd like to count this.

- You had to like him at least enough to kiss him after he saved you, hopefully....

- During the match he has a pep in his step and is extra confident in rescuing after that kiss.

- It was the perfect morale boost!

- He wants to give you his thanks later after this match.

First Officer

- Jose is similar to Servais and William.

- He's flattered and surprised.

- He wasn't expecting you to be bold enough to kiss his cheek, but he wouldn't say he hated it.

- In fact, he enjoyed it.

- It makes him all warm inside and let's him melt away from his problematic past for just a moment-

- This may be what solidifies his feelings for you.

- He would love to see you again at the manor... Maybe he can ask about your gesture.

Emma, Servais, and William comforting s/o:

William:

William tends to just laugh when people spam thank you. Like what do you want him to do? Not his fault that the survivor kept getting chaired

He was relaxing in the dorm he shared with his s/o. Maybe tidying it up a bit and making dinner instead of going to the main dining room

When s/o comes back, he happily greets them, but all they mumble is a hi with their head hung low, they went into their bedroom and just lay there

William was very concerned so he goes and asks them what's wrong

They burst into tears telling him that they tried to do everything they could, but they got spammed thank you, they were told if they had just done their job, etc.

They tried, they really did, but the hunter was pretty difficult to counter that day.

William sighs and lifted their head so he can let them lay their head in lap. Some survivors just can never be pleased and want to take their anger out on someone who is trying the hardest

Tells them that they did more than enough. More than the other survivors who kept on saying thank you rather than focusing on themselves

Now, he does want names. Not to hurt them or anything, but when he gets matched with them, he's going to emote in front of their chair. Pretend he's going to save them, but then doesn't

"What was that for!?!?"

"Don't be rude to my s/o lol. Is it so hard to be a nice person?"

He continues to comfort s/o and ask if they want to eat their dinner in bed. If they say yes, he'll bring it to them. If not, he'll still prep a plate for them

He'd crack some jokes to make them feel better and relax on the sofa with them laying on top of him. He wanted to make their day slightly better

If they get anxious about the same thing happening the next day. He'll reassure them and will make sure he gets into every single match they enter. And if a survivor decides to be an ass, he'll let them sit on chair and get sent back to the manor, if they confront s/o first he'll immediately step in between them

Servais:

He was reading a book at the table, he heard the door open and closed and turned his attention towards s/o. He heard attempted muffled hiccups

He asks if there's something wrong and they just break down completely. Saying they tried to do everything they can in a match, but apparently, it wasn't enough for their teammates and blamed them for the 4-man loss

He's had days like that. Except who would always have something to say right back. He pulled a chair out next to him for them to sit in

He's not the greatest with words, but he is good at listening. So he let his s/o vent until they feel like they have nothing to vent about anymore

When they tell him who their teammates were, he rolled his eyes. He's had his fair share with those teammates and he's left them all on chairs for how rude and sarcastic they were being

And those same teammates learned to keep their mouth shut when in a match with him because he will match their energy if they say shit

But after hearing how they treated his s/o, their next match with him is going to be absolute hell meaning he will work with the hunter, he doesn't care if it'll cost him the match

Other than that, he offers to read to his s/o, something to help them calm down and relax

Cuddle on the sofa while reading as well, just a comfortable evening after an awful day

If they just want some quiet, he'll be reading to himself silently and let s/o cuddle against his side. He'll hold their hand as well and brush his thumb on top of their hand

If they ever fall asleep, he'll put the book down for a minute and carry them to bed, eventually, he'll fall asleep himself

If they plan on skipping matches, he tells them not to. He's willing to switch out with them if those teammates show up again and he'll play the match (and be the biggest asshole ever to them lol)

Never mess with Servais, the same goes for his lover. You mess with them and he's the one you're going to have to worry about

Emma:

She was making a flower crown for s/o. When s/o walked in she happily placed it on their head, but something was off, usually they greet her, kiss her on the cheek, and ask a few questions

Emma noticed their face, they seemed sad, stressed, just outright unhappy. She cupped their face asking them if something happened

When they tell her, she hugged them and let them cry it out. She gently rubs their back and peppering their face with kisses, telling them it's okay

Emma knows the feeling of dealing with toxic teammates and wanting to cry about it. It sucks especially when you have to face them again sooner or later

She knows they tried their hardest. They don't need to tell because she's seen their efforts before and usually everyone truly appreciates them

And while she's all for being nice and stuff. She tells them if they get teammates like that again, don't bother helping them because they'll learn real fast that without s/o's help. They're going to struggle terribly

She'll spoon them. Showering them in affection and compliments

Even brings their favorite snacks and listen to the radio in the living room

Makes a warm bath for them to relax in. Especially after getting beaten up in a match verbally and physically

While they relax, Emma goes to see Leo and tells him what happened

"If s/o ever gets paired with these 3 again. Can you just spare them and get the other 3?"

Leo is gonna bleed them out lmfao. He's mean as shit if you mess with his daughter and s/o

S/o was certainly confused when they got paired with the team again and seeing Leo is just chilling making sure none of the survivors get up and just let's s/o decode

Batter x maid

Ganji somewhat related to the shy persona, more or less empathized as well: his S/O always avoided everyone then they’d whine or get scared whenever they tried to speak with them. “Yrrosay! Isay eruffssay, avoidance!” Pig Latin, Freddy and Kevin reassure the anxious energy Ganji’s S/O emulated but it just led to more anxious whining until Ganji starts speaking pure pig Latin to them. “Malcsay nowdsay, exnayeonsay….” Immediately their arms wrap around him and in response he hugged the maid back.

In matches they’re either busy typing or taking people’s place in their mid typing. Sometimes his S/O appeared next to other survivors in their time of need, they as a survivor however struggle with decoding because as a maid they were treated poorly don’t get (Y/N) wrong, they’re very smart it’s just the lack of technology was not in the favor they desired. Ganji usually had to help them out when it came to that or he’d have Tracy, Helena or Kurt take over.

Confessions are boring: to him, they’re cliche, awkward then to make matters worse he didn’t want to ruin anything so he just test the waters. His hand inched closed to (Y/N), they notice and do the same then wait for his move. Right as he made contact his S/O leaned on him and blushed lightly, they really do love each other.”

The pig Latin conversations and Ganji’s native tongue conferring continued. “Wonder what they’re saying.” Kurt tilts his head while Kevin casually sips his drink, “They’re just making plans for the next match: don’t interrupt them.” Freddy looked at him. “You can understand them!?” With a short shrug he nods, “It’s just normal talkin you guys do it all the time.” Suddenly they all pause when the sound of giggling fill their ears, Ganji was letting them play with his hands. “Mallsay! Now, he’s a master at escaping without anyone noticing- it’s one of his favorite tricks after all.

So you don’t have to worry about peering eyes as he helps you over to a place that you can easily calm down in.

Once you two are in a safe place, it’s time for his next and personal favorite trick to help you: a card trick.

What he does is simple. Servais gets out his deck of cards and asks you to pull a card, any card will do.

When you pick a card, he’ll ask you questions about the card to bring your attention somewhere else. It could be about the suit, the numbers, or even the design.

If he knows you’d rather not be subjected to questions, then he’s got more tricks up his sleeves- quite literally at that.

Servais will even give you a deck of cards so that you may do this on yourself when he isn’t around.

Should Servais be aware, however, that his usual magic tricks won’t assist in any way- he’ll help ground you- asking what you can see, hear, and the like.

If you want him to stay by your side he will, but always shall comply with your wishes of being left alone for a while.

He’d still check up on you, of course.

Even after the event, Servais will keep checking up on you.

Concerned father-figure mode--

He’s not that great at leaving the room as quietly as Servais can, but he can manage at least to bring you to a more secluded corner.

Even his boar will help in any way she can, choosing to rub up against your leg to help ground yourself to the reality that nothing will hurt you.

She won’t do this, however, unless prompted in order to help give you your space.

Murro always asks what you need and if you’re comfortable with it, gently holds your hand.

To help clear your mind, he’ll offer a walk around the manor.

If not that, Murro will help you out with your breathing- counting to 10 and making sure you can breathe to begin with.

He’s not gonna be leaving your side for quite a while after, making sure you have someone you can trust close by should another occur.

Let’s set up how y’all met so we can check the vibe.

You met Servais completely randomly as he was doing little magic tricks for Robbie after a hard match where the kid kinda got bullied.

You two hadn’t really talked much before because of his tendency to keep quiet and reserved, but seeing him go out of his way to cheer Robbie up a little brought a smile to your face, so you approached him to watch.

And he could not get his eyes off of you.

He watched you intently despite addressing Robbie with his tricks, even going as far as giving you a lil wink when he finished his trick.

Michiko called for Robbie to go wash up before dinner, and thats when Servais took the opportunity to take off his hat, press it to his chest and attempt the flirt.

Since then, you two were relatively inseparable when out in public, with the exception of matches together.

He always tips his hat to you when you two see each other in a very distinguished manner. It’s adorable.

It took him a long while to work up the courage to ask, but he did finally ask you to dinner and a movie (after successfully convincing Ms. Nightingale to let him borrow the projector).

After that is when you two started dating more seriously, with smooches and everything.

Smooches come sparingly in public, but he loves giving you celebratory kisses after won matches and smooching your hand or cheek as a greeting.

He chooses to keep his past relatively secret from you, until one night where the guilt of it catches up to him. He looked like he had been on the verge of tears all dinner, and it worried you so much.

There was no hat tipping, no smooching of the hand that night.

So you went into his room to ask him what was happening, and he broke down. Servais covered his face as he spoke between sobs, repeating “I killed him... I killed him.” and explaining how he regretted his life and wished he could take it all back.

A lifetime of fame is nothing if you’re unhappy with who you are.

There were no other words spoken that night, only hugs and cuddles as you pressed kisses to his hairline.

He never mentions it again.

After that episode, he’s a little more affectionate with you than he normally is, substituting hand kisses for full-on kisses and hugging you a little longer each time, like he’s afraid you’ll disappear.

He doesn’t know how to thank you for staying with him despite his confession. He honestly would rather not even bring it up, but he tries to convey how grateful he is through actions.

Dating Servais is arugibly one of the best choices you can make, just because of how loving and caring this man is. His love language is definitely actions more than anything else.

This isn't really Yandere HCs, this is just what hybrid I think they'd be. I'm sorry ;;;;;

Magician - The first thing that comes to mind is bear.... But feel free to say what you think. I'm personally a big Magician (And Mercenary now-) main so I love him. A bear hybrid would be cuddly and nice to have, but they can be aggressive too. I thought I could give him something more, well, "magical" but not sure what that would be-

Prisoner - Pikachu- JOKING, lol. Viper/Snake hybrid due to his Viper Skin. Similar to Shark! Naib he'd have two forms. One more snake like and the other more human like. He also has a paralysis venom! Good luck running.

Wu Chang - I thought Panda as it fits with the black and white theme and I believe both of the are Chinese Soldiers so I say Panda. Those are also up to debate, though. Calmer than the usual bear hybrid, but still aggressive if pushed. It's odd to give a hunter a calmer hybrid.

Servais did not like this.

He didn’t like it when Buck-Tooth-What’s-His-Fuck, as he deemed him, called. He didn’t like it when he said you were in critical condition, and most of all he did not like Emily’s sorrowful expression when they met eyes.

Stepping into the medical wing of the castle was akin to attending a funeral. No one would look him in the eye as he passed the row of empty, unmade beds that led up to you. No one had the heart to as you weakly laid atop that eerily white bed breathing heavily, just barely being able to look up at Servais now beside you.

It hurt him more than he could ever express, seeing you in such a state. His hand reached out to grasp yours firmly. He said your name once, twice, no response. It was then he noticed that everyone around him had turned away, no one could bare to look at him for the guilt they would feel if they did. Servais asked who let you get hurt.

Hurt. Not dead. Please don’t be dead.

Emily tried to explain your state to him, hands trembling as she did so. He shook his head in response, taking a seat at the foot of your bed and sighing shakily. Servais would stay up all night with you, hoping someone — or something — would save you. He had never been a religious man by any means, and yet here he was, muttering prayers as his lips pressed against your hands.

Cold. Your hands were cold.

His heart sunk. Servais felt his tears welling up, burning his eyes as they threatened to fall. You’d been everything to him — his best friend, his stability, his partner in life — and now you were gone, taken away from him faster than he could fucking blink. He hadn’t been able to propose, and now that ring in his pocket suddenly felt a million times heavier than it was when he got it.

He’d beg for you to come back, tears spilling down his cheeks to fall onto your face. Spilling everything to you: marriage, how excited he was to tell you about his new job as the royal mage, and most importantly how much he loved you and how much he regretted not saying it before.

That night he didn’t fall asleep.

Servais held your lifeless corpse close to his chest on the way down the stone steps leading into a damp, dark basement. Chills ran up his spine and he didn’t like the room’s aura one bit, but he’d do anything if it meant you being with him.

Aesop Carl was a famous necromancer among the underground mage trade. Once he heard the king’s mage’s lover passed, he could not pass up the opportunity to make that connection, and so the two traveled deeper into the castle’s basements far away from anyone’s judgemental eyes. Necromancy was taboo and all.

Aesop asked if he was sure to do this. Despite clearly seeing Servais’ eagerness to have you alive and breathing again, it never hurt to ask. Ressurection wasn’t for the weak. Servais agreed, nodding. His own life span would be cut in half, yes, but he didn’t care. Didn’t mind in the slightest. At the end of the day, you’d recieve the other half, and he’d be able to spend it with you. With a sigh, Aesop enveloped the room in a deep green light, covering every inch of your body with seemingly solid tendrils that left your skin feeling smooth and alive as they moved over your body.

The last thing Servais saw before his tears blurred his vision was your eyes looking up at him with life and love again.
