I love so much that the Samonji trio is comprised of:
- Kousetsu Samonji, the sword so pretty I could cry
- Souza Samonji, the sword so pretty I could cry, pt. 2
and
- Sayo Samonji, the sword who looks like a feral gremlin child and is obviously the favorite.

Creating OC background base in the last 5-6 games you played.
The tales of Food || 食物语
-> ( context: game where MC is a child of god of food with their dozen of MALE Friends to family immortal beings that base on food)
The second child of the god of cooking and his beloved wife, Yuan. They aren't the heir for the title of the god of cooking but they learn the basic of things from their teachers, taken care by others but one day before the event of the game "the tales of food" began they left to find their own path as they are lost of their own purpose. They see no place for them in Kongsang. Even through their beloved older siblings and Food soul family hate to part from them, Yuan left with a smile.
Touken Ranbu.
They found a job flayer in a time period far in the future of the human world as they venture to find purpose, it seems that there are danger lurking to change the history. And with inhuman amount spiritual power from both of Yuan parents yet still behind from the level of their older sibling, they went to join the time government to help keep the history safe.
With their first sword Kashuu and Imanotsurugi they went to protect history under the new alias, Fuukami-- or wind god. They are like the wind, they well go where the blow of blaze take them and it taken them to be a saniwa.
They send letters to their family every now and then but it stopped one day ( when the beginning of the game of "tales of food" happen) worried of what might happen, they left their post in hurry to go back home with only one blade by their side left to be in a dormant state: Hakusan. By the decision of everyone in his team. They want their saniwa to be safe and hakusan can help them if they were in a hard way and his easy to carry as well heal Yuan.
Ensemble stars
The moment they enter a portal, their powers somehow felt stripped away and memories of Kongsang and their family starts to fade away as they arrive in modern Japan of the present, they were left almost unresponsive but group of people found them and taken them to a hospital. The group who found them is the trickster and soon they become friends and when they ask what's their name they heard a (hakusan) voice whisper on Their mind: Fuu ...
Before the voice fades away to a slumber
"it's fuu. Like the wind." They said to their new friends. But other than that they know nothing of who they are and one of their new friends jokingly suggested "if you want we can help you look for your family" since they are idols they can search wide at least wide than others. This lead fuu to think and decide they well be an idol too to search for who they are, maybe someone would recognize them and call them. And so they take the test and with months of training and determination they enter the ES and become an idol. They are called: Ria (flip of the word air) a solo idol that come and sing a soft tone that seems to made everyone felt spiritual energy and cleansing ( cause of their powers that is lurking out ) they once become rank one but that very day after the concert they disappeared leaving without a world, they are soon known as Cinderella idol who appear out of nowhere and left before the clock strick midnight.
-•> the reason they disappeared was because their older sibling come and taken them away that very day but they think they are very sus people with those group of scary people behind them ( unfamiliar| newest addition Food souls ) and run away but as they run they saw a black carriage that soon take them to yet another world far from their original one.
Twisted Wonderland
The new world dialect is quite new and their name Fuu become Yuu in their ears and soon they start to adjust to the world language as they help with problem children and in the strict of danger in the gate of underworld, a person appears before them and helped them, that is hakusan who finally able to gain human form and here to assist their saniwa in all form as they could.
They told the things they forget as they once told Haku who they are when they hurry to leave and their real name and such revolution left them to unlock their control to their spiritual powers in the last chapter and come out safe from suppose to be danger. When all the chaos ended, blot and all that. They saw a portal appear before them when crewel still don't know how to send them back.
"YUAN!" someone called out to them from the portal, in comes their oldest siblings and parents, who finally found them after a long search. The student of NRC all come to a shock discovering fuu or yuan is basically a demi god. But soon say farewell as Yuan have to leave the twisted wonderland with their touken danshi in toe. They did promise to go back one day but they still have things to sort with their job as saniwa to being an idol.
Holding hakusan hand they left and soon disappear from the boys sight

_________________________________________
"Did you get any sleep at all? I've seen you refill that mug multiple times now, and it's only ten."
Kaneki's head jerks up, startled by Hide's voice, spilling coffee on his white shirt from the mug he was holding in his hand.
He clears his throat and replies, "Uh, yeah, I went home late yesterday," staring at the mess he had just made.
"Had a little too much fun, perhaps?" Hide smirks, placing his feet up on his desk and leaning back in his chair to squint his eyes at his colleague.
Kaneki grumbles, "I was on the case," setting the mug down on the desk before removing his reading glasses and massaging his nose bridge. His cheeks are flushed red as he recalls his unexpectedly passionate experience with a certain woman. He wasn't about to admit to his partner that this mysterious woman of his was keeping him up at night, the reason he couldn't sleep at all.
He shakes his head and stands up to retrieve a clean shirt from his bag. He always has one on hand in case of need. He begins to unbutton his stained shirt.
A few people were at the office today; the majority were out in the field, and Akira had ordered Kaneki and Hide to stay inside in their shared office room and wrap up their late reports. Being action-oriented men, they had initially opposed the notion, but her glare made them shrink and return to their seats.
Watching the white-haired agent as he stood shirtless in the middle of the room, Hide jests, "Dude, just change at the restroom. No one wants to see you naked."
Kaneki turns away from his partner to grab the clean shirt, grumbling, "And whose fault is it that my shirt is now ruined?"
"Oh, come on! Don't blame the innocent for your own clumsine - holy fuck, Kaneki!" gasps Hide, startling him once again.
The fact that the man had cuss alone was alarming enough, but he could also hear the genuine shock in his voice.
The white-haired male turns around with a frown on his face. "What? What is it this time?"
"What the hell happened to your back?"
"My back?" repeats Kaneki.
Hide nods. "You have scratches all over it. And not some I-bumped-into-the-wall kind of scratches, it looks like a large feral cat used you as a scratching post."
Kaneki freezes for a second before his face flushes red and he quickly dons his shirt.
"Uh, well," he stammers out. He truly had no idea how to justify the marks on his back, so he went on the offensive. "I-it's nothing! Just some kind of, you know! Well..."
Hide's expression gradually changed from one of astonishment to one of giddiness, his mouth opening into a broad grin reminiscent of a child's face on Christmas. "Did you...by any chance, get laid?"
Kaneki mumbles something incomprehensible while refusing to look at him, and the blond man's smile just becomes wider. "I can't believe it! You're no longer a virgin!"
Kaneki glares angrily at him. "Lower your voice, Hide!"
The said man smiles smugly, "Ah, so you did get laid! Who was it, tell me? Who did you sleep with?"
Kaneki scowls, sitting back in his chair. "You don't need to know that," he says, flipping through a document he had on his desk, before sighing in discontent and setting it back on the desk. "I hate this, why did Akira-san force us to stay inside? I wanted to go with the others to help with the questioning."
Hide chortles, "I guess it has something to do with the fact that we haven't been doing much paperwork lately. You can always tell me about your mysterious woman if you're so bored."
"Knock it off already. Why do you even need to know?"
"It's not often that the great Kaneki-or Sasaki-or whatever they call you, gets flustered over a woman," Hide enthuses, with a hint of cynicism in his voice. "She must be a special person."
Kaneki's visage changes to one of contemplation for a brief while as he visualizes the short-haired woman's face, her soulful two eyes, and her oh-so-alluring lips. Only after three encounters did he realize that she was a truly remarkable woman who made his heart race faster than he ever imagined it would.
After a long pause, Hide remarks, "Take that ridiculous expression off your face. You look horrendously mushy."
Kaneki gives him a death stare. "Who are you calling mushy, Hide?"
"You, of course. Now are you going to answer my questions or what?"
Kaneki groans in frustration, yielding to his best friend's persistence. Hide is someone Kaneki might choose to confide in about his problems. They'd known one another since they were children and had been through everything together.
"Fine. But whatever I tell you cannot leave this room, understood? If I hear about it from someone else, I'll rip your head off."
Hide looks at him in surprise, "Wow, this must be some important stuff if you're threatening me. Your one and true best friend."
"The thing is, if Akira-san or Arima-san find out, they'll be really disappointed, and I'm not sure I could keep this position," admits Kaneki.
"Did you engage in any illegal activity?" queries Hide.
"Not necessarily, but suppose there was information about our situation that I ought to have shared with them. Do you recall the time we were at Kanou's house?"
"Yeah," Hide says, beaming. "I can't possibly forget that. You were left behind in handcuffs with your face painted red. And to think that you're Arima-san's favourite makes it even more hilarious. "
"Yeah, well," continues Kaneki, choosing to ignore his partner's snide remark, "the woman who handcuffed me, the same one that we saw at the bar -"
"Woah, woah, wait, wait, wait," interjects the other man, "are you trying to say that you slept with that raving beauty who kicked asses?"
Kaneki bobs his head sheepishly. "I saw her at V nightclub when I was on duty."
Hide looks at him from head to toe for a few seconds before bursting out laughing and spitting out a globe of saliva. "You banged a stranger — who might also be a criminal — while you were supposed to be working on the case?"   Kaneki shifts in his seat and taps his foot repeatedly on the floor in a nervous manner. "I admit it's not the best course of action, but consider yourself in my circumstances! I had been at it for two weeks and nothing happened. I was bored out of my mind, until she came along. Hide, you should have seen her. She was a sight."
The man focuses his gaze on him before smiling perversely. "Was she good at least?"
"Well, it was certainly worthwhile," murmurs Kaneki. "She clearly has something to do with Kaiko's case because I have seen her three times in locations related to the matter."
"You think so?"
Kaneki nods. "I'm certain about it. She even told me that she was looking for information."
Hide lets out a heavy sigh as he reclines in his chair and gives the other man an expressionless face. "If that's the case, Akira-san would undoubtedly punch you to death if she knew you saw her again without having her taken into custody."
"But she didn't kill Kanou," Kaneki points out, running his fingers through his hair. "The bullet was identical to the one we recovered in Mrs. Fueguchi's body, and it was obviously one of Kaiko's men who did it. I wouldn't be surprised if he were the one who sent someone to assassinate Kanou."
Hide nods, reaching for a file on his own desk and flipping through it. "Kaiko could frame that poor girl. Talk about the wrong place and wrong time."
"How many other girls are we going to find until that bastard is behind bars?" Kaneki clenches his jaw in anger.
Hide trails his fingers down on the page his eyes were skimming over. "Do you think that woman is one of his girls?"
Kaneki shakes his head. "No, I don't think so. She has money, and she doesn't need to work for him."
"It could be to keep up appearances. You know that he likes to dress them up fancily to hide their real jobs."
"That's true, but I am sure she isn't one of them. She was a virgin," he admits.
Hide's eyes widen, and he looks up from the file on his lap. "That woman, a virgin? You must be kidding."
"I was as surprised as you are," replies Kaneki. "That's why I'm saying that she doesn't work for him. She can't be one of his prostitutes."
"So she was a virgin and she has money, you say," ponders Hide, stroking his chin. "The possibility of her being a wealthy heiress reduces the population of Tokyo to less than 1%, so identifying her shouldn't be too challenging."
Kaneki raises his eyebrows. "What? Why?"
"Don't you want to know whose cherry you popped?"
"Well, yeah, but -"
Hide cuts him off, saying, "We should start checking into his wealthy associates if she is looking into Kaiko. She might even be able to assist us with the case and point us in the direction of that guy, as she looks to be on par with us."
Kaneki takes a deep breath before leaning back on his chair and extending a hand towards his partner. "Point taken. Give me one of the files."
The white-haired male pinches the bridge of his nose and hurls the file he was holding carelessly on top of the ones he had already read. "This was all for naught. Neither I nor the electronic database can locate anything, and I have no idea where to look for that woman."
"Calm down, everything would have been simple if you could have just gotten her name," says his partner, cracking his neck.
Kaneki frowns slightly. "Do you suppose I haven't given it a shot? She resisted giving any personal information."
Stretching his arms above his head, the blond man looks at the mountain of folders he has already combed through. "We could have overlooked a name, or perhaps we weren't looking closely enough. For all we know, she might be concealed somewhere in those files."
A fatigued Kaneki rubs his eyes. "She is the first woman in my life who has ever exhausted me this much," he murmurs to himself.
Hide chuckles, patting his best friend on the back. "So what do we do now?"
Kaneki pauses to consider. "We could dig into Kaiko's background, and perhaps one of his former acquaintances or associates could point us in the direction of both her and Kaiko."
"No, I don't think so," says Hide, while shaking his head in protest. "I don't think confronting him personally is the answer. Besides, moreover everyone in this office has read through his file at least twenty times."
"Do you have any better ideas then?" asks Kaneki.
Hide beams. "As a matter of fact, I do. These files were printed from the internet database, which only contains information up to 2009 and only contains a small amount of data. Investigating prior 2009 cases is our only option."
Kaneki recoils with disdain. "The ones in the archive room? Even though I'm a voracious reader myself, we'll never be able to finish reading them all."
"Not when we know what we're searching for. I doubt there are that many referring to rich heiresses," returns the other man.
Kaneki ponders for a while, praising his best friend in a low-key manner. Both Kaneki and Hide were men of action. He did, however, occasionally astound Kaneki with flashes of brilliance. Not that the white-haired agent would ever acknowledge it.
"That's actually very logical," he whispers to himself, standing up from his chair. "I'll take care of it." _________________________________________
"Yo, Kuroiwa. I have a favour to ask of you," greets Kaneki, his head peeking from the mentioned man's office.
Takeomi looks up from the screen of his computer. "What is it?"
"I need you to get us something from the archive room," starts Kaneki.
"You do realize that you have the authority to enter that room, don't you? The security won't ask you for a working ID."
"Well, I know that," the white-haired agent clears his throat, leaning against the door, "but since Akira-san assigned us to report duty, if she sees me outside the office and that we are disobeying her directive, she will rip my head off. You just need to go to the archive room right away, please."
The other man is silent for a moment, preferring to stare at his computer before sighing in defeat. "Fine, I'll do it."
Kaneki smiles in triumph. "Thank you, and while you're at it, get Yoriko-chan and ask her to bring us all the cases involving the wealthiest people in Tokyo over the past twenty years."
"What's the use of those? Shouldn't you be working on Kaiko's case right now?" asks Takeomi, watching the white-haired man walk back to his office.
"Oh, it has everything to do with the case," shouts Kaneki with a smile.
"What do you think she needs from him?" Hide inquires when the white-haired man gets back to their shared office.
"You're asking me about her motives when I don't even know who she is?" Kaneki responds.
His partner pauses to think before opening his mouth, "Fair argument, but perhaps there is something so evident that we are simply missing it."
Kaneki places another document inside the box he just went through. "You know, the person who should be insisting on finding her is me, not you, so why are you so determined to know who she is in the first place?"
Hide chuckles. "You're right. But then, why didn't you look for her name before? Is it because you enjoy the secrecy around your casual encounters? To have slept with an unidentified criminal must be great."
Kaneki grabs another file and covers his face with it as his face turns scarlet. "Stop talking, it has nothing to do with it. We don't even know if she's a criminal or not. Maybe she's some sort of vigilante or something."
"Like Batman?"
"Sure, why not?" shrugs Kaneki.
"However, I don't remember him engaging in sexual activity with a cop."
"Hide..."
"What?"
"Be quiet for a minute, please."
They both return to reading as Hide rocks with laughter. Only the sounds of pages flipping and chairs squeaking as their occupants move can be heard in the small office.
After a few minutes of silence, Hide eventually speaks, "Maybe she knew one of the prostitutes hired by Kaiko. She may be some type of vengeful angel for those poor women."
Kaneki purses his lips in a thin line. "I wouldn't blame her. What type of horrible man kills innocent girls for wanting to leave that kind of life?"
"The devil himself. Killing ladies who were looking for a better life was not acceptable at all," adds the blond agent.
"This is so tiring," grumbles Kaneki under his breath.
Hide rolls his eyes. "Stop whining; you are the one responsible. We wouldn't have to do this if you had just arrested her," he tells him, and adding, "but then again, you wouldn't have lost your virginity either -"
"For Pete's sake," moans Kaneki, rubbing a palm against his forehead in frustration. "Why do you keep saying that? Are you trying to hide that you're a virgin as well?"
"You wish," huffs Hide. "Did you find anything yet?"
"Nope. There was not one female with blue eyes who resembled her."
"Neither do I," sighs the blond. "Not alive anyway."
Kaneki perks up. "What do you mean?"
The other man lifts an eyebrow and continues, "There was this one woman with blue eyes who had been killed, but they never found out who did it; but that was more than fifteen years ago, and I doubt it's your mystery woman."
"Let me look at it. It could still help us," says Kaneki, extending his hand towards him.
"Sure."
Hide picks up one of the files he had been searching through and opens it to check that it is the correct one before tossing it in the other man's direction, who easily catches it in his hands and opens it lazily.
His eyes skim the pages as he reads the case synopsis before turning to the next page. His jaw drops open in shock as soon as he sees the image of the woman, and he looks up at Hide.
"Holy shit, that's her."
"What?" exclaims Hide.
"This is exactly how she looks! Don't you recall seeing her before?"
"I wasn't exactly looking at her face," mutters Hide, receiving a glare from Kaneki at his perversion. "In any case, it's not possible. There are even photos of this woman's disfigured body from long ago! Not to mention that, although they have the same haircut, their hair colors differ. In this image, the woman in the foreground has light-colored hair. While your woman has a black one."
Kaneki frowns as he glances down once more, his gaze fixed on the photos taken at the crime scene. If it weren't for the bloodied body lying on the ground at the foot of the sofa, the photographs would have depicted a pleasant and opulent living room. A woman with light hair lay on her back, mouth agape, eyes wide in horror. She had severe gashes on her thighs, and her white nightgown was blood-stained and pulled up to her legs. Kaneki discovers that the grey muck on her light hair was brain matter after reading the cause of death, which was listed in the document as a bullet to the head. He was able to see the bullet hole on her temple in the subsequent image, and he nearly gagged when he saw how much of her head had been destroyed by the bullet.
"Damn," he whispers, horrified. "I've witnessed some pretty messed up stuff in this job, but this one ranks right up there."
"Worse than that body split in half?"
"Definitely worse. At least the cut had been clean. This one here is messy and plain sadistic. There were other wounds on this woman's legs, and there were others shown in the pictures of the autopsy. The killer took his sweet time with her," he notes, reading the autopsy report.
"l haven't even looked at the rest. I closed it immediately when I saw the first picture," says Hide.
Kaneki gives him a pointed look. "You probably missed something important."
"Oh, come on," whines Hide as Kaneki avidly reads the file. "You saw the images; she can't be it! It's only a coincidence since there are apparently seven people in the world that resemble you. It could be just due to chance -"
"There!" shouts Kaneki in triumph, getting up from his seat to shove the file in Hide's face. "Do you see this? It was stated here that they discovered two children at the crime scene, and it was soon learned that they were actually siblings; a 3-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. That would make this young girl around our age now! I bet you everything I have that it's definitely her!"
Hide grabs the document from his hands, reading it with a frown on his face. "You might actually be right.... Damn, she left both her daughter and son behind."
Kaneki moves away from his side and sits back on his chair to type on his laptop. "Let's dig up what happened to her back then. What was that woman's name again?"
"Hold up, Kirishima... Hikari?" reads Hide.
"Kirishima Hikari," repeats Kaneki, typing the name and pressing enter. He mutters in frustration as the page loads with nothing shown, "Nothing about her is mentioned here, this article only contains all the information about her murder.
"Search for her online. She was a wealthy heiress back then, thus some media may have covered her passing," suggests Hide.
Kaneki checks up the deceased woman online as suggested by his partner. A few articles appeared, and he began reading them, one by one. The white-haired agent reads aloud, "K. Hikari, wife of Konzern's owner, Kirishima Arata, was found dead at their residence. The injuries prompted the police to assume that it was a murder—okay, this is all the same basic stuff."
"Nothing about those little children's names on that piece? Why is it so hard?" Hide groans, "It's like the Kirishima siblings' existence has been deleted from every database!"
"Naturally, since they were too young, the authorities won't leave their names in the file or reveal it to the public. For privacy and safety matters," Kaneki reasons out.
Hide stands up and hurls the file to the floor in frustration. He pauses to glance at the screen from behind his partner before stooping to grab the mouse from Kaneki's grasp. "Wait, look at this. The Kirishima's company went bankrupt a few years ago, which explains why I'd never heard of them before."
"If her parents' company folded, why does that woman have so much money?" wonders Kaneki.
"Perhaps, she doesn't," argues Hide. "Just because someone is dressed elegantly does not imply that they are loaded with money."
"She didn't deny it when I questioned her about it," mumbles Kaneki.
"So, if the company goes bankrupt, what happens to the two siblings and their father?" Hide wonders aloud as he reads the article. "Holy moly, look at this." Hide moves his head from the screen, allowing Kaneki to take a look at what was written on it.
"He killed himself?" The other man quirks an eyebrow.
"Yeah," mumbles Hide. "He evidently did so after losing both his wife and his money. After he committed himself, his mansion and other businesses were used to pay off his debts."
Something doesn't make sense to me," Kaneki tilts his head in confusion. "Why would he do such thing and leave his kids behind?"
"No idea," replies Hide. "There's still nothing about the Kirishima siblings in these articles. It's like they disappeared after both of their loved ones' death."
"At least I now know who her parents are, and her last name," adds Kaneki.
"So what do we do from here?" asks Hide.
"We keep looking, and maybe we'll -"
Behind them, someone calls out, "Here, gents."
When they turned around, they saw Yoriko standing at the door with a box in hand. "I still don't understand why you require so many files, but Takeomi notified me of your request, so I looked for more for you."
"We're truly grateful, Yoriko-chan! And that pertains to our case, but it's confidential. Since you're not an agent, we're unable to tell you," Kaneki smiles apologetically.
The hazel-haired woman pouts, muttering, "Tell it to the person who files all your cases," as she approaches them and places the box on the ground. "So, what exactly is going on here?"
"It's about a wo -" starts Hide, before stopping in his tracks when he notices the look Kaneki gave him, and he suddenly remembers his threat. "About Kaiko. Yeah, we're looking into his rich associates."
The woman gives them a doubtful look, but nonetheless shrugs it off. "Okay then, agents. I'll leave you to it."
"Say hello to Takeomi on your way back, make the man happy," snickers Hide.
He can see the woman's cheeks reddening. "Why would I do that?" she squeaks out.
"Sure you don't," mumbles Hide, sharing a knowing look with his partner.
"Whatever," she whispers back, walking back to the door. Disdainfully, she regarded the files that were dispersed across the office, knowing that she would have to rearrange them before re-putting them back on the racks in the archive room. A document that was open on the floor attracted her attention as she was about to leave the room. She squats down, grabbing it in her hands, and examines the image. Her eyes widen in realisation.
"Oh my god, Touka...chan?"

My December 2023 toy haul got here a few days ago, finally. It only took forever and a half... so much for express dhl...that cost though...DX

Acrylic Sticker; Ensky PAPER THEATER NARUTO Shippuden PT-340 Sasuke, PT-342 Itachi & PT-125N Naruto vs Sasuke; B-SIDE LABEL CAPCOM x B-SIDE Sticker CAPCOM 40th Resident Evil.
I am super happy with everything, the Sasuke Uchiha acrylic stickers in particular, they are so cute! I am also loving the PUP Red Pyramid Thing figures. I was hoping they would be in-scale with the PUP Bubble Headed Nurse, so I could try to get a second nurse to display both, but it seems they are the same exact height, so not in-scale with each other, sadly for me. T__T;; I am tempted though, to get some 1:6 scale PH statues, now that I have this tiny one and a double to unbox one. I'll probably go for something that's not as expensive as Gecco, I really wanted one of them, but I couldn't justify them. Now they are a little eye off the face! DX I was able to get a second "last one get" Minnano Kuji Hikkake figure of Mikazuki Munechika. I loved these hikkake figures so much, I had hoped the other series would be of similar size, but the Demon Slayer ones seem a lot smaller (one Giyu is the only other one I own). I got all the 1st Minna no Kuji ones for the Touken Ranbu Online releases, except the ultra-mega rare winking Shishio. I wanted to get doubles of all, but hadn't gottent Mikazuki's last-one until now. So, I'm very happy, as well as with teen WCF Sasuke, I need the child version was well, but these seem ultra-mega-ultima-level-of-rarer. I also love the RE sticker, I didn't read how large it was. I was surprised at how tiny it is. Story of my life! Lol! (:

The Use of Honorifics in the Touken Ranbu Universe
Something I’ve found really fascinating in Touken Ranbu is how different touken use different honorifics for one another. This is going to be brief for now but I may add on and discuss things more in depth later.
Please note that I am an idiot American, therefore I most definitely got something wrong here. If I did, please tell me! I’d love to start a convo about this because it’s super interesting.
Nicknames
Nicknames aren’t quite as ubiquitous in Japanese culture as they are in the Western world. From Suki Desu: “Japan is a very formal language, so nicknames are rarely used. When a person becomes close to the other, they usually call him by his first name. This is the main way to express love, affection and friendship.”
Most of the touken call one another by first name, but I suspect this is more for the viewer’s benefit than because of actual closeness. We can assume, though, that if a touken uses a shortened version of another’s name (or, in some cases, uses a different name than everyone else does) it means something. To that end, let’s look at an interesting use of last names!
Last names (Izuminokami Kanesada and Horikawa Kunihiro)
Horikawa’s nickname for Izuminokami is “Kane-san.” This is interesting because one would suspect that since they are so close, Horikawa would feel comfortable enough to either use a less polite honorific, like -chan or -kun (usage elsewhere that we’ll discuss in a minute), OR use an abbreviated version of his first name, like “Izumi-san” etc. It’s almost as if he’s trying to inch their relationship along by using a short version of Izuminokami’s last name with the polite and neutral -san.
However, if that’s his goal, it doesn’t seem to work, because Izuminokami calls him “Kunihiro,” his last name, unlike most of the other touken. I think there could be two reasons for this. The first is that he’s trying to edge away from the familiarity that Horikawa is trying to create with the nickname “Kane-san” basically being like “nah bro it ain’t like that.” The second, though, is far nicer: that he’s acknowledging that Horikawa was forged by Kunihiro, a master smith considered the best and most prolific of his time. While the smith Izumi No Kami was also an excellent smith, he didn’t have quite the prestige of Kunihiro.
-Chan and -Kun (Shokudaikiri Mitsutada and Yamantonokami Yasusada)
Shokudaikiri uses two different honorifics for his friends: -chan and -kun. The first, -chan, is one usually used for - and by - women and children. (Think Usagi Tsukino’s ubiquitous “Mamo-chan! V-chan!” and so on.) Shokudaikiri, however, calls Okurikara “Kara-chan,” which, when you realize that this honorific is usually used for girls and kids is ... really funny. It’s almost like he’s teasing Okurikara for being such a standoffish bastard.
He also uses it for Sayo Samonji and Taikogane Sadamune, which is more appropriate given that those two are depicted as more childlike. The part in S2E1 where he says that “Sayo-chan” is so mature is genuinely so sweet and a very realistic way that one might talk to a young child. It represents Shokudaikiri being kind of the citadel daddy figure <3
However, what’s interesting is that, though he seems to have a similar relationship with Kasen as he does with Okurikara, he uses -kun for Kasen. -Kun is what one might use with junior colleagues or younger friends. This makes perfect sense both for their relationship in Hanamaru, as Kasen is often his lil cooking assistant, and for the the history of these two swords. Shokudaikiri is from the Kamakura era (1185-1333), while Kasen is a bit younger, from 1505. (Okurikara’s forge date falls between that of Shokudaikiri and Kasen, making it even funnier that Shokudaikiri basically calls Kasen his junior but Okurikara the lil baby of the family.)
The other notable person we see using -kun is Yamatonokami Yasusada, who calls his former master “Okita-kun.” I’m not quite sure why he does this, because the other touken who talk about their masters use the more appropriate -san honorific, like Izuminokami. Perhaps it’s Yamatonokami’s way of acknowledging that he is now, in fact, much older than his master and that he has come to see him more as a beloved junior colleague than as a true master.
-Bou (Tsurumaru)
This one is my favorite because it’s incredibly funny and so fitting for Tsurumaru’s personality. -Bou is used for little boys and ... pretty much no one else. Tsuru calls Shokudaikiri “Mitsu-bou” and Okurikara “Kara-bou,” basically infantilizing them with a cutesy abbreviation of their last name and an honorific for literal babies.
While it could be a little dig at the fact that he is the oldest of the Dategumi (he was forged in 1053, a good 100 years before the second-oldest, Shokudaikiri), I suspect it’s just him being an irreverent asshole and has nothing to do with actual age.
-Dono (Tonbokiri and Juzumaru)
Both Tonbokiri and Juzumaru use the archaic honorific -dono for almost everyone. This, also read as -tono, was used for samurai lords like daimyo. Wikipedia (sorry, couldn’t find a better source, REALLY) states that “It is also used to indicate that the person referred to has the same (high) rank as the referrer, yet commands respect from the speaker.” Essentially, this honorific is a way to demonstrate great respect and appreciation for the other touken.
For Tonbikiri, I think this may be a way to downplay his Great Spear status and make others feel comfortable around him, basically saying that they’re on the same level and others shouldn’t feel bad that they don’t have that title. For Juzumaru, this might be both because he is an older sword, dating from the Kamakura period, and because his previous owner was Nichiren Daishonen, renowned Buddhist reformer and priest, who spent much of his time in correspondence with high-ranking officials.
The other time we see -dono used is once by Nakigistune’s lil fox buddy to refer to Okurikara. In that case, I think it’s because fox bro is just a little terrified of Okurikara and thinks that if he doesn’t use the most respectful thing he can think of, he’ll get roundhouse kicked onto the roof. Even tho Okurikara isn’t even in the room. Dude’s terrifying y’all.
Anywayyyy~~~ I am also thinking of writing up my thoughts on the use of brother terms (-nii, -nii-sama, anija, and kyodai), but that will have to wait for another day because I’ve got work soon!
Let me know what you think and if you found any other interesting uses of honorifics in the Touken Ranbu universe!

credits to @/ruggiegucci on twt for the template! <3
this section is not a must-read and may indeed bore some of you that didn't care for such unnecessary things but go ahead and read if you're curious hehe.
i decided to revamp my introduction and be a little more specific. If you wanted to get to know me a little betterーor find something we have in common and perhaps wanted to hit me up in dms or asks?ーhere are some of the information I would love to share!^^
languages :: japanese and korean (fluent), english and german (so-so), latin (studying rn)
pronouns :: i don't particularly mind anything you call me. Whichever you feel comfortable goes!
i'm very vocal with my hatred and scepticism in our governmentーactually, politics in general 😂 however, i will make sure that my writing blog is safe for things like that.
i will usually reblog posts about what I think is very important and those who were about raising awareness on my sideblog @frustratedgirlathy (and that was a dump of reblogs about many fandoms i'm interested in to not clutter my writing blog) so my political bitterness will usually goes there 😂👏
gender :: heteroromantic asexual
mbti :: isfp-t
nationality :: german by birth!
university slave student
i'm currently attending my second year in college, so if i fail to post a writing request or whatever shitposts, that's because uni is slaving me away. i used to be a fine arts majoring in fashion design back in my first year but i decided to shift to political science (on my way to become a lawyer!) where i'm more comfortable now 😌
animal rescuer (?)
i love, love, love taking care of animals so much. i have nine cats in total (all of them are rescued from accidents or i picked them up in the streets), two dogs, five birds and a family of ducks.
martial artist
back when i was a child, i used to practice different kinds of martial arts because my family specialised in them. I learned how to play kyūdo (japanese archery), and kendo (japanese swordsmanship) from my father. its been years since i practiced kung fu and muay thai so i don't know if i still can do them well 😂🔫
i'm a school journalist!
i've said above that i'm very vocal about my political stance, but my favourite part is writing them as the school newspaper articles 😂💦 i've never had any experience in creative writing before (this writing blog is my first ever 🤔) so forgive me if my writing feels so stiff and empty sometimes! Old habits die hard, as they say.
i'm not a very religious person (but i'm a buddhist btw!) but i don't mind hearing about other religions, too. just make sure you aren't forcing your values to others, were good!
i love playing a lot of otome games, either in my nintendo switch or mobile or online, my favourite set involves: the ikemen series (ikesen, ikevam, ikerev, ikegen, ikelive and ikepri), piofiore no banshou, collar x malice, tears of themis, obey me!, mlqc, msyme and more!
i also love rhythmic and adventure games like twisted wonderland, mahoutsukai no yakusoku, genshin impact, touken ranbu, kingdom hearts, onmyoji and final fantasy.
unlike most japanese, i'm not very fond of watching anime now sjshs though I used to really like detective conan and other fantasy anime back in middle school.
my oshis have one similar characteristic: the ones with shady and questionable personalities. and wearing glasses, and perhaps with white hair. (eg. jade leech, floyd leech, azul ashengrotto, trey clover, xiao, tartaglia, zhongli, vyn richter, akechi mitsuhide, nokto klein, yang, lucien, barbatos, etc.) the only excemptions for this are zhongli, xiao, venti and xingqiu lol
my hogwarts house is currently ravenclaw and i get sorted in either diasomnia or ignihyde a lot.
my childhood dream is to become an accountant but now, i wanted to be a successful lawyer :D
with all of this, i hope we become friends! ^^ feel free to dm me if you want to talk to me about something! i swear i don't bite...hehehe.

Ok ok ok, you know what?
More sword nonsense.
I know I reblog anything that catches my eye on here like an overgrown magpie but I have one(1) reason I'm on tumgle.hell and one(1) reason only. So lets make it count.
I recently had a friend walk me through getting the Japanese version of Touken Ranbu Pocket- and my poor citadel is already a mess thanks to the event. So heres my flavor of how this went down!
I pick Kasen, because of course I do he'd come to art galleries with me, and am dropped into our first sortie- ok no big deal a few months ago I tried playing the english version, I know how the tutorial gose.
Summoned a tantou, Akita Toushiro welcome home. The first of many brothers to be sure- he's not a Toushiro I knew much about but then I read his lines and My God I Love Him. I want to have a bug collection with him.
While thats happening, before even my second sortie, we are boombarded with All of the event cutscenes (interestingly the moon observation cutscene Mika is in has changed- Mika only gose '.....' unless me rappidly trying to skip past the backlog made me miss his dialog)
So now poor Kasen, having just watched the Third Sword Ever of Mikazuki arrive and then vanish, is now trapped with a child and a saniwa greener then Uguisumaru's hair in a moon relem that is at least somewhat for our protection.
On Mika's end, he's probably at least a little bit panicked appearing in a citadel with two(2) swords and a grand One(1) Sortie of Experience. Like- my beloved jeej saw us three and just left to get milk. I would be offended at the comment on my ability as a sani if it weren't so funny---
Luckily Kasen can then imidiatly run after jeej (I'd like to imagine chasing him with a broom) and cut through the illusioned space to keep the baby citadel safe. All the while I bet Akita is haveing a Time. What with, in his first day as a human, we've been trapped and unable to go 'outside' so he's just got to sit tight with me in the citadel till Kasen comes back, jeej in hand.
I fumble with some help toukens and summon more swords for the group battle and am now starting the grind and what not- but geez what a rocky start! It's a little bit funny I think-

I write scenarios, headcanon lists, and fanfiction pieces for Twisted Wonderland, Diabolik Lovers, and Touken Ranbu. (Final Fantasy XIV coming soon!)
At this time I am NOT accepting any dorm sortings or match ups (at this moment)!
Of course with every submission that I am uncomfortable with, I will either delete it or post it stating I am uncomfortable with answering or writing such.
This blog can be NSFW at times, I will not write NSFW for child characters like Ortho or Cheka (Tantous count). I will not write for characters who is not 18 and older in the game at the moment. (I refer to the age, printed in the Magical Archives in relation to the date and year to the initial release of the game, March 18, 2020, to the current day time. Each character's birthday that passes equals an additional year to their age. For example, Ace being 16 upon initial release, first birthday card means he turned 17, second birthday card means he turned 18.)
I request that you only ask for MAX one character for the scenario and five for headcanon lists. Exceptions for the character requests can be asking for a specific dorm, dorm leaders, vice dorm leaders, or asking for the specific years/classes.
Any writing theme is okay! Even the dark and angsty ones! I will NOT write anything relating to pedophilia/incest
Requests will be in the third person and gender-neutral reader/MC! Unless specified. Overly specific MC/Reader will be denied as it is too similar to OCs. If it has OC characteristics I will deny the request. A few characteristics are okay.
Media I’m unfamiliar with I will also deny.
NSFW, Things that I am very uncomfortable with. Will straight up deny, and not write. No age play, Mommy/Daddy, or pretending to be a child play. Or anything involving period sex or butt stuff.

9 touken hcs for TG's 9th anniversary
1) When Ichika's new brother/sister came along, Touka and Kaneki noticed that she was much less hyper in the house. Whenever she spoke too loud, she'd pause, look over to their sleeping sibling and then lower her voice. She'd also watch over them constantly, Ichika fulfilling the Kirishima destiny of being a protective older sister.
2) Kaneki really enjoys being a house husband. He likes giving his children all the tenderness and attentiveness he never received when he was a child. And at night, he enjoys spending time with his loving wife, making sure she's nice and relaxed before they both go to sleep.
3) Whenever Touka and Kaneki have a small squabble, they tend to get moody with each other for like...5 minutes before immediately apologising and hugging one another.
4) When Touka was heavily pregnant with Ichika, Kaneki would love caressing her stomach whenever he could. To have both Touka and his soon-to-be daughter in his arms soothed him into believing that they were truly safe.
5) Whenever Ayato hangs out with Touka, he's constantly talking about Hinami. When Hinami hangs out with Kaneki, she's constantly talking about Ayato. Though Kaneki was initially quite clueless as to what this meant, Touka found enjoyment in being their own personal wingman. If Kaneki and Touka wanted some alone time, or if they were both busy, they would insist that both Ayato and Hinami had to babysit together. Yomo, like Kaneki, was incredibly confused and disheartened that he wasn't invited. He won't admit that though, (unless Uta decided to give him a drop of alcohol).
6) If a guy makes a move on Touka, which they do very often, Kaneki will almost always find himself feeling uncomfortable for some reason. He wasnt used to getting what he wanted, so jealousy was a new feeling to him. And so, you would find him clinging onto his wife, his arms wrapped around her waist and his face buried into her shoulder. He cant seem to explain himself to Touka without his face turning a wonderful shade of red.
7) Ichika comes home one day in tears. She had been bullied by some older kids on her way home, and whilst distressed, she accidentally released her kagune. The kids called her a monster before running off, and this really frightened her. However, her parents sat her down and explained that being a ghoul did not mean that she was in any way a monster. She wasn't entirely convinced, until Touka asked her if she thought her own mother was a monster. Ichika shook her head quickly, though she still seemed worried. And so, Touka decided to show her her own kagune. Awed by the beauty of Toukas wings, Ichika was able to find confidence in herself once more.
8) Sometimes Kaneki is overwhelmed by his haunting guilt, his past actions often dragging him back down to a nihilistic pit of depression. He's not always easy to deal with in these instances, and he'd usually keep to himself in his study. Once Ichika is put to bed, Touka would come in with some coffee and she'd hug him from behind, kissing his temple. Itd often be enough to draw out his inner thoughts and she'd listen silently, silently comforting him during his confessions.
9) There is no doubt in my mind that their second child was also an accident.

Comfort of the crescent moon (Mikazuki Munechika × fem! Saniwa)
"Ah, finally everything is done." The Saniwa sighed loudly. She leaned against her chair and massage her shoulder. "What a horrible two weeks."
Over the past two weeks, she has received countless of reports from the Time Government of increase sightings of the Historical Retrograde Army. The Touken Danshi she send on Sorties often came back with severe casualties. Everyday was the same chaotic routine.
From gathering resources and writing reports to her superiors, to training and accompanying her swords on Sorties, the Saniwa and her swords barely took a single break. Not to mention they have to prepare for Winter soon.
Her busy schedule grew a lot of concern from her Touken Danshi. Everyone was more worried for their master then themselves. Their afraid she might overwhelmed herself with the amount of work she was assigned. In order to make sure she is fine, theTouken Danshi made sure to visit the Saniwa anytime they can.
The visits range from Kashuu and the Shinsengumi swords offering to do some reports, Hasebe making her tea and bring her breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Toushirou tantou having dinner with her in the office.
This made the Saniwa feel extremely grateful. The amount of love her second family has for her touched her deeply. She hopes that they know how much she loves and cares for them too.
As she got out from her chair, the Saniwa let out a loud yawn and rubbed her eyes tiredly. When she looked out of her office window, she realized it was way pass bedtime.
Everyone should be in bed by now. The young woman thought, staring outside. Wonder why no one came to see me during dinner time.
She then recalled telling Mitsutada the afternoon she would will be missing dinner. The Touken Danshi must have knew that she was incredibly busy and did not want to bother her.
Those boys. The Saniwa smiled guiltily. So caring and thoughtful.
Suddenly, she then heard snoring within the office. She turned towards the nearest sofa and saw Konnosuke already fast asleep, curled up in a cute, fuzzy ball. The Saniwa giggled and sat next to him, petting him gently. As she did, the cooling Autumn breeze blew into the office, sending a comforting feeling to the young woman.
"I could get some fresh air." The Saniwa said to herself.
She quietly leaves the office and walked along the engawa to the Citadel's gardens. When she reached the outside, the Saniwa stared at the beautiful night sky wonderously, releasing her hair from her hair tie to allow the cool breeze to flow through it.
The crescent moon and stars illuminated the sky, brightening up the surroundings. Accompanied by the rustling of leaves and the sound of crickets chirping, the young woman felt at peace.
"It's a beautiful night. Isn't it, Aruji-sama?" A familiar voice asked her.
The Saniwa turned to her right and spot a familiar figure sitting along the edge of the engawa, drinking his tea like he usually do.
"Mikazuki, you still awake." She greeted him with a smile as she walks towards the tachi. "Your right, it is a beautiful night."
Mikazuki laughed. "Good to see your back to your usual self." He then pat on the empty spot next to him. "Care to join me for a cup of tea."
His master unhesitatingly accepted his invitation. As she sat down, Mikazuki poured the Saniwa a cup of steaming green tea and handed it to her.
"Thank you." the young woman thanked him, taking a sip of the drink. She and Mikazuki admire the night sky together silently.
Ever since his arrival to the Citadel, the Saniwa always felt the most comfortable whenever she is with the tachi. She did have special connections with the other Touken Danshi before him but with him, it was different.
At first, she thought it was because she regards Mikazuki as one of her more revered and precious warriors. However, she's come to realize the reason was more personal and emotional.
Soon, it became a common occurrence to see them together. Whenever she has the chance, the Saniwa would often sit with Mikazuki and his companion, Kogitsunemaru, and drink tea together as they admired the scenery.
It was a habit that brought nostalgia to the young woman, having done the same as a child with her grandfather.
"How has work been doing for you, Aruji-sama?" Mikazuki asked, breaking the silence between the two. "The past two weeks must have been tough on you."
The Saniwa sighed, staring down at her cup. "It has. But as Saniwa, it is my duty to protect history. Even in times like these, what needs to be protected is more important than my priorities."
"...I have to admit." She continued, smiling regretfully. "I feel pretty selfish these pass few days, having to sent most of you on Sorties more times than usual. I completely ignored how you all felt. And yet, most of you smile and tell me your fine. Makes me question if I'm being too controlling."
Mikazuki smiled. "I don't think your selfish." He confessed, surprising the Saniwa. "I think you're incredibly selfless. You put others before yourself. Even the greatest conquerors lack of such quality."
"However." His face darkened as he faced his master. "Your greatest quality is also your greatest witness. Your still young, overworking is bad for your health. Everyone is worried about you."
The Saniwa looked down guiltily. "I know. Now that everything has calmed down, I'll try to look out for myself more."
"I know you would." Mikazuki said sweetly. "You should also worry less about how we all feel. We are swords. There is nothing selfish about making us do what we're supposed to do.
When she face the tachi to protest, she felt his hand on her head. "And in return, we will protect our one and only master."
The Saniwa blushed lightly as she feels Mikazuki's fingers run through her hair. A small smile formed on her face. "Thank you for the reassurance." She thanked him. "I needed it."
The sword and his master continued sitting together admiring the cloudless sky. Soon after, the Saniwa let out a loud yawn.
"Aruji-sama, you must be exhausted." Mikazuki took notice, putting her cup back onto the tea tray. "You should get some rest."
The Saniwa nodded but remained seated down. "I know, but the weather tonight is so cozy and relaxing." She then tuck her legs underneath her head and wrapped her arms tightly around them. "I'll stay out here for a while longer."
Mikazuki giggled. Even after the small lecture he gave her, his master is being as stubborn as always. Nonetheless, he secretly agreed with her. This night's weather was perfect to sleep under. After much thought, Mikazuki came up with an idea.
He wraps an arm around the Saniwa's small figure and pulled her down slowly, causing the young woman to blush heavily. "Wha..what are you doing, Mikazuki!" The Saniwa stammered as she felt her head land on the tachi's lap.
"I often see you do this with the tantou." Mikazuki said in teasing tone. "Just rest for now, Aruji-sama."
The Saniwa's face grew red. She tried to lift herself of his lap but her body was to tried to do so. Mikazuki's lap also felt very warm under her, more so than her pillow.
She adjusted her body to a more comfortable position, a sweet smile formed on her face.
"This..feels nice." The Saniwa said softly, her eyelids getting heavier. "Reminds me..of my childhood."
"Oh, how so?" Mikazuki asked curiously, but when he looked down at her, his master has already fallen asleep.
The air headed tachi giggled as he stared at the Saniwa's sleeping from, unconsciously combing through her long, silky hair with his fingers.
Mikazuki admits over the past few months, he has grown fond of his new master. He enjoyed the times she spends with him and the other Touken Danshi. He greatly admired her kindness and strong-willed nature. Like everyone else, Mikazuki felt honoured to have a master like her.
After a few minutes passed, Mikazuki heard footsteps along the engawa. He turned his head and saw his companion, Kogitsunemaru walking towards them.
"Mikazuki-dono, it's late. You should be in bed by..." His sentence was cut short when Mikazuki place a finger on his lips.
Kogitsunemaru was looked confused at first but then notice the figure lying down on his.
The white hair tachi smirked. "I always knew Nushi-sama favored you the most, Mikazuki-dono." He said teasingly. "But aren't you laying it a little thick now?"
Mikazuki laughed. "Now, now. No need to feel jealous."
The tachi then gently move the Saniwa's body closer to his. he slipped his arms under her legs and back and slowly stood up from his position, holding his master bridal style. "I'll head to my room in a bit. I'll bring Aruji-sama to her room first."
"Okay." Kogitsunemaru nodded, walking back to his room. "Just make sure you don't do anything to her." By the time he finished, Mikazuki has already left.
In the Saniwa's bedroom, Mikazuki gently place his master onto her futon, tucking her under her blanket nicely to keep her warm. Before leaving, he sat by her and comb through her hair one more time, memorising the rhythm of the Saniwa's breathing.
Mikazuki closed his eyes and smiled as he got up and made his way out her room quietly, savoring the new memory made between sword and master.

Soo you asked for a prompt idea and how about touken with jealous Kaneki? Or jealous Touka, pick what you like more.
anon your mind
i don’t think i’ve ever seen Kaneki written as the jealous type and this just. blew my mind
also i’m so sorry this ended up worse than i imagined and took me longer than i planned, but i hope you still like it <3
(i couldn’t help but shove some ayahina in at the end there too, sue me)
Tumblr media
Jealousy
(touken one-shot, 869 words, open ending (kind of?? i couldn’t figure out how to end it), fluffy with a tiny bit of angst and a hint of ayahina)
Between being a part of the Tokyo Security Committee and having a family, Kaneki barely had any time for his wife.
As strange as it came to him, he couldn’t figure out why it was like this. After a terribly long day at TSC HQ, he’d come home in awful need of coffee and Touka. Days off were few and far in between – being a peacekeeper was more dreadful than he’d anticipated, but it was necessary, and he learned to appreciate his role in the new world. However, that didn’t mean he appreciated the lack of a certain woman in his shifts.
He would often find himself so overwhelmingly tired, no amount of coffee could help him, and all he would like was to come home and curl up in Touka’s arms.
This came as a challenge, because upon arriving home, Kaneki would find her equally as exhausted. Caring for a two-year-old with a second baby on the way was taking a toll on her. Ichika had begun walking rather early and absolutely refused to be carried, because according to herself, she was a “big girl now”.
As adorable as that was, Kaneki couldn’t help but notice his wife’s awkward stumbling and growing eyebags. Those, of course, didn’t take away from her beauty. The pair had found a routine of putting Ichika to sleep together, and then he’d take to massaging her legs, letting Touka repay him in head scratches.
The ritual most often led to drifting to sleep together, but it proved to be insufficient for both of them. Kaneki longed for the days of her first pregnancy, when they’d cuddle up for the night, all soft caresses and affectionate glances and his hands warming her swollen belly. In those moments, he swore he was like a smitten teen all over again. Smitten was the best word he could come up with for the time being.
Jealous, however, was the more appropriate one as of late. More specifically, Kaneki had grown jealous of his own daughter.
He’d always known Touka was a protective mother, maybe even smothering in a sense. The amount of attention she’d been giving Ichika was normal, considering it was the same amount he was giving as well. Kaneki recalled how, literal days before she was born, Touka broke down in fear of being a bad mother, and how it was comical compared to the way she was now.
He wondered if that made him a bad person – a bad father – if he felt this way. How could he not? The child got to spend the whole day with the woman of his dreams! It might have been the work, being in an office most of the time, but when he saw Ichika in Touka’s arms, he couldn’t help the tiny pang of envy. Worse yet, he didn’t know how to deal with it.
Which is how he found himself in his current predicament – asking for special help.
Hinami and Ayato had agreed to meet him at :re, and were staring incredulously at him over their cups after he’d explained the situation. They exchanged a glance that wordlessly showed their confusion, before Hinami posed a question.
“Onii-chan, I’m not sure what you’re asking us about – are you angry at Ichika-chan?”
“No, no!” Kaneki almost immediately lifted his hands in defense.
“Good. Would hate to leave shitty Aneki’s kid without a dad,” Ayato commented over a sip.
“Ayato-kun!” Hinami knocked him on the shoulder. She turned her attention back to Kaneki. “Then what’s wrong?”
“I… I don’t know.” He stared at his reflection in the dark coffee. “I want to spend more time with Touka, but we’re both so busy all the time. If I’m not at home taking care of Ichika with her, I’m at work. And she’s with Ichika all the time. I guess… I just miss being with her alone, you know?”
“Don’t wanna hear the details of that,” Ayato made a disgusted expression at him before suggesting, “Just take a day off and get a babysitter for a bit.”
“That’s a good idea!” Hinami piped up. “You and Onee-chan can spend some time together while someone takes care of Ichika-chan!”
He put a hand to his chin. “That’s a good idea, but who? I don’t know who to ask.”
Hinami waved her fists in excitement, taking Ayato’s hand in hers and raising it. “Ayato-kun and I can do it!”
His eyes went wider than saucepans. “What! No the hell we can’t! You babysit her! I’m busy!”
Kaneki lifted his eyebrows. “Would you do it, Hinami-chan?”
“I’d love to!” She smiled. “Ichika-chan is a sweetie, we’ll get along just fine.”
Ayato’s lips curled into a sneer. “… Fine, I’ll go with you,” he forced between his teeth, “I don’t have anything better to do anyways.”
“Hm? I thought you said-” Kaneki began, but was cut off with a swift glare from his brother-in-law.
The expression told him everything – it was the same one he caught himself making at Ichika the other night. Stealing a glance at Hinami, he noticed her obliviously stirring her coffee while Ayato’s soft stare bore holes into her. Kaneki understood and smiled.
“So, does Friday work for you two?”

State of the mobile gaming hell (28 Sept 2020)
Been a long while since the last one so let's do this!
On my phone
Tumblr media
1st row: SINoALICE (International), Tenka Hyakken Zan, Touken Ranbu, Bungo to Alchemist
2nd row: DREAM!ing (will probably delete soon as no longer interested and it's basically stopped updating?), Yume100, AkaSeka, Stand My Heroes
3rd row: On Air! (ending service on 30 Oct 2020), Anidol Colors, A3!, EnStars Basic ver. (might delete as no longer interested)
4th row: Ayakashi Koimeguri, Black Star: Theater Starless, Kaikan Phrase Climax (might delete soon as losing interest), Ikemen Genjiden
5th row: HypMic A.R.B. (don't really play it much yet don't want to delete it yet), IDOLiSH7 (JP), IDOLiSH7 (TW), Meowtopia (called 'Cat and Construction' in Chinese and I'm guessing that there's an English version as it suddenly changed names on me on day and it showed me an English loading screen for a second before switching back to Chinese... I wish it let me switch languages in game...)
****
On my iPad
Tumblr media
1st row: Ayakashi Romance Reborn, Ken ga Toki (TW, it's been on extended maintenance for more than a year now and probably won't be coming back?? I should probably try playing the JP one instead. The TW one actually came out first, then it was put on maintenance and the JP one came out during that time), Half World Journey (TW, should play it more esp. since they've finally added the Japanese voices that they'd promised at the beginning!), A3! (TW)
2nd row: AkaSeka (TW), Yume100 (TW), Etokare (should either play more or delete), Love and Producer (TW, should play more)
3rd row: Ikemen Sengoku (TW, should play more), Stand My Heroes (TW), SINoALICE (TW), Fate/Grand Order (TW, should play more)
4th row: Cuisine Dimension (TW, food girls), The Tale of Food (TW, food boys but all Chinese dishes and there's apparently going to be JP version soon), Destiny Child (International, I actually quite like the art even if the girls are mostly drawn in a very fan-servicy way [this version is censored but there will be an uncensored version available from Tap Tap, I'm fine with playing it censored] and the stories are kind of fun, there are also some really cute boys.), Divine Princess Story (TW, will probably delete as it's getting boring now that I've basically reached the part where there's not much to do was a free player)
5th row: The Sims (I've kind of made versions of my RP ships in it~ :3c), Yanxi Palace (TW, it's the officially licensed game and it's actually more of a battle game than all those imperial harem dressup games that are all over the place, and you're supposedly able to change what happens in the main story. I will do everything I can to protect Empress Fucha! >_< She may be Empress but unlike your typical evil scheming empress in most court dramas, she's the complete opposite and this is actually historically accurate. [In history, she was the Emperor's soulmate and true love, and they were well matched in every way, so she remained his fave from the moment he married her till her early death from illness... His temperament was said to have completely changed after her death...] I could ramble about her all day, but I might leave that for another post. Anyway, she died in Yanxi Palace as she was basically too kind and gentle to survive in the backstabbing world of the imperial harem...), June's Journey, Pokemon Cafe
Tumblr media
1st row: Toraware no Palm (TW, need to actually finish), Toraware no Palm Refrain (TW, same as previous comment!), Pokemon Shuffle (probably delete as lost interest), Zookeeper (same as previous comment)
2nd row: Ikemen Live (probably delete as it's been abandoned and will no longer be updated), Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia (should play more), Girls Frontline (TW, deleted then redownloaded as felt like giving it another try...), IDOLiSH7 (TW, was intending to move my TW account from my phone to my iPad, but switching systems will cause me to lose all my stones, so was thinking of moving only after I've used up all my stones but then never ended up doing so... I think I might leave it on my phone as rhythm games are easier to play on a smaller screen)
****
And that is all! I also have a list of games I might try... My games are still mostly otome with a few more general games mixed in?
And there aren't really many new non-dating sims otome games or announcements for new ones lately.

Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio Translations
Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio Translations!
Hello, long time no see on tumblr. I haven’t been posting anything since forever. Well i barely posted anything back then, though. I decided to post translations of Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio because i rarely seeing anyone talk about it...even though it’s the one of the free content given by the 2.5 franchise of Touken Ranbu..maybe with this it’ll get a little bit more attention..i guess?
I am doing the translation ONLY in text and won’t make a translated video because i want the views to go straight to the official sites. You can listen to this radio weekly every Sunday 20.50 PM JST on Radiko or Youtube (i’ll link the Youtube at the end of the post). I’m starting this from the latest broadcast (episode 70) and gonna continue so on. I normally won’t translate the past broadcasts but requests are always open. If you want a translation of your favorite cast’s episode you could always leave me a message. Or an ask. But i’m afraid i don’t see you asks so maybe a message. You can check the list of casts who broadcasted the show in the official Twitter or on the Youtube channel at the description box.
Disclaimer : Neither Japanese or English is my mother tongue, so please take this translation with a grain of salt and pardon me if i misheard or mistranslated something here. I learned Japanese self-taught and just passed N4 last December. Corrections are always open and i’m happy if someone could correct my translations! Also, this text is not proofread so apologize for any typos made!
I left some notes in the end of the post so i hope you could read it first. I gave notes to some words too so i hope you could check on it while reading the translation. I’m giving strikethroughs to the words i gave notes, and it is written in order in the notes section. I don’t know if tumblr has the feature of giving words a numbered superscripts(?), if someone does know, please tell me how to and i will edit this post!
Another note : For this episode, i’m using the letter “A”  for Arisawa Shotaro and “I” for Imari Yuu.

Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio!
A : Good evening everyone! I’m Izuminokami Kanesada’s actor Arisawa Shotaro. A 2.5 radio alternating monthly brought to you by Musical Touken Ranbu, for short “Toumyu” and Stage Touken Ranbu, for short “Tousute”. In charge for August is Musical Touken Ranbu. Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio’s Arisawa Shotaro is going to tell you Toumyu’s charms while polishing my radio skills!
A : Well, it has been my third week here, but coming to Nippon Housou, there’s a lot of extraordinary person here, and it becomes my motivation, for a radio (show). And we could even hear a little bit of their voices here.
I : That is great, right?
A: It’s an amazing thing.
I : Glad to do Touken Ranbu,right?
A : *laughs* Well, yes it is. Well, he (Yuu-kun) already made an appearance though,--
I : Yes~
A : --i’m going to talk a lot with Yuu-kun, so please look forward till the end!
Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio!
A : Musical Touken Ranbu’s Izuminokami Kanesada’s actor Arisawa Shotaro broadcasting from Tokyo Yuurakuchou Nippon Housou, Touken Ranbu 2.5 Radio, let’s welcome tonight’s guest, it’s this person!
I : I’m Nagasone Kotetsu’s actor Imari Yuu! Onegaishimasu~
A : Continuing last time, Yuu-kun is the being the guest, actually i don’t really wanna ask this question, well, i’m given the opportunity to be the personality, but how is it, my personality side?
I : I’m not an acid-tounged critic like Takahashi Kensuke or else, so i guess you’re--okay? It looks like you’re having fun so it’s okay.
A : “It looks like i’m having fun so it’s okay” *laughs*. Try to appear once in Kensuke-kun’s(broadcast), that person is amazing, as i thought. He’s so good.
I : That guy was originally aiming to be an announcer after all, he’s the type of person who could just casually say “I wish i were an annoucer~”
A : *laughs* That’s right
I : His talk-power is amazing. Takahashi of the Talk-power. But, i’ve been thinking about this. If someday, when he became a papa, he’ll say harsh things to his child. He’ll be hated by his own child. It’ll definitely become like that.
A : *laughs* hated by his own child---there’s no doubt about it.
I: He’s saying everything that he thinks about.
A : That’s for real. Let’s hear children’s opinions.
I : Yes, yes, yes.
A : Right, so this time we’ll gonna bring you this this topic “Before The Show of Bakumatsu Tenrouden 2020, We’ll Guide You”!
I : Ooh?!
A : Musical Touken Ranbu Bakumatsu Tenroden is planned to perform between September to November! Musical Touken Ranbu Series’s second work which performed during 2016’s Fall will be performed in 2020 with a new production, the live part performance will also be renewed! Right..and the Historical Figure actors will be recasted to Koyanagi Shin as Kondo Isami and Sadamoto Fuuma as Okita Souji!
With that being said, going towards this show, we whom were casted in Bakumatsu Tenroden 4 years ago will tell you the works charms all over!
I : Yes!
A : Yes, with that being said, in Bakumatsu Tenroden 4 years ago, we appeared as Touken Danshi for the first time. Weeell remembering the first performance , it feels kind of—
I : It was amazing, right?
A : It was amazing. We ran through it right?
I : I’m being told to the extent that i wanna say “You could say such thing?”
A : I heard about that, of course, about the hard work. As i thought you can’t just be not challenging yourself in a lot of things! With singing, acting, dancing, sword battles! That was it right? Do you have any memory of it?
I : For me, there was the Time Retrograde Army, i don’t really remember anything about the history being changed!
A : It’s the Yuu-kun after the changes right..
I: I’m the Yuu-kun after the changes.
A : Looking back, talking about our first debut, it started with a production announcement in a Gajoen—
I : It was the time that my muscles is in the best condition—
A : * i chose not to translate this part, i’m not sure what Arisawa-san is trying to ask to Imari-san here..kansei-kan?? I don’t really understand how is that written and what does it mean*
I : But you know, i thought about this, when Touken Danshi’s are being smithed, they’re keep being hit and hit right? (referring to an actual swordsmithing process), i was thinking about that! So i think “that(muscles)” is needed!
A : That’s right
I : It is a sword that is done by being hit repeatedly and going through a harsh environment right? That’s why i went to that extent. It’s because of that (the smithing process) so we became strong.
A : Right right right, but you know, in the game, when it goes “paan” and it appeared (the Touken Danshi), there is cherry blossoms falling right, moreover at the Gajoen , there’s cherry blossoms falling too!
I : There was~
A : For an appearance, it was a wonderful appearance! Moreover, at the Kyoto theater’s surprise performance, we’re appearing in a sea of uproar! It was amazing..
I : It was so amazing that i caaan’t keep up with it..
A : That’s right..
I : The one in Gajoen too, we looked sparkling. And then we went to Kyoto too, it made me think “We’ve been to such an amazing place..”
A : Right, like seriously, looking at our yearly schedule there’s like “Live at Osaka-jo Hall”? Hey, how far are we going?!
I: That was amazing..
A: We’ve broke into a lot of amazing places, but the performance of Bakumatsu Tenroden..speaking of the main character..it was Yuu-kun right? Well, it was Yasusada too in some parts, but the ending is like, you were in a position of watching over (sending away) Kondo Isami’s death..like you’ve hold up your sword but..you can’t do it right?
I : I couldn’t..as i thought i just can’t do it. But i’ve thought of it, i thought of it for weeks, like if that was your own father what would you do?
A : You thought about a lot of things
I : I thought about a lot of things..
A : But seriously, you cried aloud right, in the rehearsal hall..
I : But as i thought, i have a lot to think about. I was easily moved to tears right? Rightaway..
A : You were..
I : I was easily moved to tears. But there, i have no choice but to hold it in. But you know, i remembered about this thing so much until now. Kayano-san said this a lot to me. “DON’T CRY!!”
A : But that is number one part that made you cry right? Like we can’t possibly hold it in when being told to not cry..
I : It’s not like you cried because of you’re getting yelled at right? It’s different than that. When your in a work and start acting..like, Goumoto-san’s Kondo Isami’s back is too large..
A : Yeah, being there must’ve been hard. Looking at Nagasone-san’s sight holding back his tears even though it’s painful, i could really understand his feelings.  But on the contrary, in Musubi No Hibiki, i’ve been told to cry like a kid, over Hijikata-san’s death. In that flash, i feel like i’m coming out, as my character.
I : Indeed..
A: But after all, it was really nice to show out the relationships between the swords. As i thought, Tenroden is so great.
I : I thought Shinsengumi as a “negative aesthetics” , so that, how to say it..i feel like there’s something irreplaceable on them, for me.
A : Right, like as a samurai, they wanted to be a samurai, and then they became one. There’s a change period that suddenly changed the historical context between these people who became a samurai.
I : Right, right
A : Like seriously, because it’s the swords of the people that lived in agitation—
I : That’s too great
A : I kinda think about this, at first, we do things like sword rehearsals, the ones that we did in the Shieikan. There’s maybe like some points where they’re longing (admire) to their previous aruji. I think that’s because they have been watching over (they’re previous-aruji) since they were a sword, so that’s some kind of a feeling of respect to the higher-ups of Shinsengumi.
A : This time’s Bakumatsu Tenroden is a reprise, but for those who are able to come, maybe you could deepen your knowledge about Shinsesngumi first, after all, if you know the history, you’ll be able to get deeper (into the story).
I : But i think, maybe the people who are coming knows ten times better about this matter than us.
A : *laughs* I’ve talked this far but—it’s amazing right?
I : I told you, i thought about this. We are reading out such things as letters (from the listeners) right? The way they’re choosing the words is amazing! So that i thought, people who likes swords knows a lot about history. (So that) we have to show it to them.
A : Well, it’s giving some kind of pressure, right?
I : Right, right
A : Because we’ll have those kind of people watching our show right..i mean even in Musubi no Hibiki, we had the grandchild of Hijikata Toshizou from the Hijikata Toshizou Museum coming to the show.
I : That was amazing
A : That was amazing.
I : They (the grandchild) was called.
A : The descendants of him is coming to see the show! Touken Ranbu is amazing right?
I : Yes.
A : We have to make a it fun for the approach for that matter, even though this time is a reprise and the show will be renewed, while deepening our knowledge at this matter, let’s be more detailed with this!
I : There’s no doubt.
A : Right?!
I : Well if we start talking about this matter, it’ll take four years to finish.
A : *laughs* It’ll take four years—
I : Right, four, four years—
A : Alright, with that being said, we have just brought to you a lot of Musical Touken Ranbu Bakumatsu Tenroden’s charms! Then, we’re gonna read the letters!
I : Yes
A : Right..*surprise sound effect* we received one from : Saniwa name : Kirihimi-san! Thank you!
I : Thank you!
A : “My body is so stiff, even though i stand and try to bend down, my hands will only reach a little bit under the knee.”
I : So stiff!
A : Right, it’s really stiff.
I : Are you okay?!
A : *laughs* Well, there was a self-quarantine period after all.
I : Yes.
A : “Of course, for me it’s barely possible too to raise my feet to an almost horizontal level. Lately i’ve been doing stretching and now my fingertips are almost able to reach to the ground.
I : Wow, that’s amazing!
A : “My fingertips are still unable reach down (to the ground) just yet, but i’m doing my best though! Actors out there does dance flexibly and does intense sword fights too, and i feel like “Their body could really move (a lot)”. If you have any tips on making a body flexible , i really want to know!”
With that being said, thank you!
I : Thank you-!
A : What do you think, Yuu-kun?
I : I’m also stiff too, you know.
A : But you know, for me, speaking of stretching, do you remember it?! When we first joined Touken Ranbu, we will work together as a pair to stretch out the muscles around the shoulder blades—
I : Kensuke and Shotaro was a pair right. Kensuke’s way of doing it is---he’s always like “ It hurts it hurts it hurts!” and it keeps echoing in the rehearsal hall...and Tori-chan always shouts “You’re noisy!”. That scenery is really Shinsengumi.
A : Right..moreover that’s a thing that the more you do, the better it is. Even though the next day your body feels like ten times loosen (relaxed) up, but it hurts at first, that is...
I : That’s why, doing it too much is a no. But as i thought, it’s the best if you do it after you took a bath.
A : I see
I : Another thing, for me, i’ll go to a hot spring,  and hot springs are spacious right? If there’s not many people, i’ll start stretching. If you’re stretching after a bath, i think your body will be a lot more flexible.
A : Then, Yuu-kun, are you flexible now?
I : Well, i’m really--i’m an iron man now.
A : Iron man--Then, then, just a litlle bit, we’re going to do rehearsals soon, let’s test out between the two of us, how much far could we go, let’s prepare for it
I : Right, you got a point there
A : Well, it’s important to know the current state of our own. So let’s make sure of our present condition.
I : Well then, let’s do that first,
A : This one right?
I : Right, you do it first, Sho.
A : You know, it’s impossible for me now.
I : For me, right now (is impossible) too—
A : Ooh, my fingertips could barely reach—
I : Fingertips reaching—
A : Ah, it hurts it hurts i hurts. I’m up to my first joints.
I : Okay, i’ll go—ah, me too.
A : Up to the first joints of your fingertips---but it looks like you’ll be able to reach it
I : No, well my fingertips does reach, but it simply hurts.
A : This is crazy for me. I felt like some kind of sharp pain just now. It’s like pikipikipikii.
I : For me, lately, my waist have gone weaker—
A : *laughs* I don’t know about that—i don’t know anything about that
I : My waist is weak, so kind of understand Kirihimi-san’s feelings.
A : In the waist matter?
I : Yeah, in that matter. Let’s work hard together about that.
A : Therefore, we’ll soon start our stretches too, let’s start preparing for it, carefully! Everyone too, if you’d like, please note down and try the method recommended by Yuu-kun!
I : Right~
A : With that being said, we will still wait for e-mails from you! The addres is written on all lowercase : [email protected], that is! We’re waiting for your impressio after listening to the broadcast and we’re waiting for a lot of questions for the Touken Danshi!

I : “There is no enemy that I can't cut!”, Nagasone Kotetsu’s actor, i’m Imari Yuu!
Byebye~!
 Notes :
The link to the show on Youtube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRbJux7NqU4
a.  Neither English or Japanese is my mother tongue, so i’m kind of unsure in some parts, either  i can’t really find the English terms of it or just simply unsure of what are they trying to mean, so i’m typing in italic in parts that i’m unsure with.
b. The underlined parts are an official script from either the anime, game, or the 2.5 projects, so i’m taking the translation from Touken Ranbu Wikia in Fandom.com (https://touken-ranbu.fandom.com/)
c. Translation with notes (the ones with striketroughs) :
1. It’s 初演 (shoen), literally means first performance, like the whole set of the first performance of Bakumatsu Tenroden back in 2016. Not to be mistaken with初日 (the first day of performance).
2. Refers to Meguro Gajoen, “....is a historic wedding, hotel and restaurant building located on the eastern edge of Shimomeguro.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meguro_Gajoen)
3. I’m translating the phrase “背中がでかすぎて“ with it’s literal meaning, but i don’t know if there’s any Japanese terms for “a big back” having a connotative meaning.
4. i heard it as 負の美学 (red; fu no bigaku), literally means “negative aesthetics” but i’m not sure if it’s written like that. I can’t find any other word that fits. I hope i did not misheard and/or mistranslated this.
5. 試衛館, a place related to the Shinsengumi..pardon me if i misheard this. You can Google this one if you wanna know what kind of place it is, though. Just in case.
6.  He use the term 柔らかい, it literally means “soft”. But i don’t think it makes sense in English as there’s no term such as a soft body (or there is?) so i used flexible as the closest meaning. Again, pardon me because neither English or Japanese is my first language.
7. He said 肩甲骨の筋膜, literally means “the fascia of the scapula”, but it’s too scientific i don’t even know what it it called in my first language and i don’t know if it’s commonly used in English, so i put another word with a similar meaning, but less-specific.
8. I heard this one as 刀ミュ図鑑, i’m not sure with the kanji of “zukan”, but i chose to translate it to Picture Book as Touken Ranbu has one. (The 刀剣乱舞絢爛図録).
