I’m about to have a fun afternoon.

So my trainer’s bf cheated on her. She broke up with him. He’s holding her stuff hostage until she agrees to talk with him. Which she refuses.

She trains; for free mind you; three college linebackers, a college wrestler, two martial artists, a body builder, and… wait for it…. a Navy seal. We’re gonna go get her shit for her.

This should make for an interesting story.

BAND YAROUZE!! Dream Match Duel GIG 2023 RAVEN/ADVENT DAY2 (24 March 2023)

Almost forgot to buy a viewing ticket! Just finished watching it and it was SOOO GOOD!!

Anyway, Banyaro used Stagecrowd for its international livestream. Everything went smoothly. Payment was easy and the stream quality was great!

The entire concert was just shy of 3 hours long. Day 2 focuses on Osiris and I think they sang all of Osiris' songs, including Kyo's character song!

Masanori Kobayashi was mostly in character as Kyo for most of the concert while Yoji Ikuta had trouble staying in Yamato's character! He even mentioned during one of the intermission talks that he had to keep reminding himself that he was Yamato! XD He also kept saying he was 'eternally 17'. (Was that Yamato's age in the game? Can't remember.) And Kobayashi-san was all 'Stop, it's been 3 years. We're now 20.' XDD

'Kyo' had great fun during 'Bloody Masquerade', where he walked among the audience while singing. He was very 'I'm a rock god' as fans reached out to touch him when he walked past them. He held hands with at least two fans for quite a few seconds, which totally made their year! XDD 'Yamato' called him out for that later, and 'Kyo' seemed rather embarrassed. I think he said it was his first time doing something like that.

Osiris' version of 'Guruguru Magic' was sooo cute~!! Complete with 'Kyo' being cute~ :3c Blast's version of 'Whiz' was great too, though 'Yamato' had to tune his voice at the beginning to get the right pitch! XDD

And I think Osiris sang one of Blast's songs. Not sure which one but it sounded familiar. (I've never really paid much attention to Blast's songs...)

At the end, there was a special guest - Raphael! (Well, it was guitarist who I think played Raphael's solo in the game?)

And the last vocal song was 'Heavenly Breeze'~ ♡

Buying Day 2 was a great choice as Osiris was definitely the main focus with Blast kind of playing support. I guess it was the other way round for Day 1?

AHHHH!!! There is going to be an INTERNATIONAL livestream for the Banyaro Osiris & Blast concert!!! Ahhh!!!!

Ahhh, I'm so tempted!! >_< I'll probably buy a ticket for the second day as that's Osiris' main day!

Oooh! There's going to be an English version of Pure Nista!

The Japanese version (which I'm currently playing) is one of my faves! It's the most customizable dressup game I've played so far and it's really really generous towards free players. Hope the English version will be the same.

And finally finished the story! The last arc took longer than expected to get through.

I won't really go into the details since it'll just be so many spoilers, but I'm happy that Ichigo does actually quote Hideyoshi's death poem! Especially the 'dream within a dream' part which is very appropriate to the story~ :3

Bit sad about what happens to Omokage at the end.... but I guess that also means he's destined to be a Musou-only character?

It's funny though how Konnosuke goes missing at the end and... the swords aren't really concerned about it at all?? They were basically just, 'Oh, Konnosuke is gone. Oh well.' and just go on with their lives.... ^^;; I guess it's easy to get a replacement from the government??

(And anyway, Konnosuke was kind of useless at times so....)

Anyway, all in all, it was a fun game! Bit predictable at times but it also had enough twists here and there to keep it interesting. And I like that there were a variety of stages so that it wasn't just fight, fight, fight all the time. There were also puzzles to solve, though the stealth missions were a bit of a pain to me, especially the candle one... orz

Now I just need to replay missions to unlock all the bond conversations!

Random thoughts on Touken Ranbu Musou so far

Just reached the part where it’s the Second Team’s turn to be dispatched on missions, so I think I’m probably half-way through?? (The story starts backwards in a way, with the Fifth Team going on missions first, then the Fourth and so on.)

I’ve avoided all spoilers and am kind of playing it with my friend every weekend. (I stream it for her.) Originally wanted to get the Switch version but ended up buying the Steam version with all the extra DLC content. 

Anyway, so far, I feel like the main culprit behind everything is probably Omokage’s ‘missing part’ as it seems to get mentioned quite often from time to time? (Foreshadowing??) Plus, I think Mikazuki suspects it from the way he asked Omokage about it.

And here are some thoughts on the teams so far: Fifth team: The Yamanbagiris - in which 98% of everything Chougi says, usually sarcastically, just flies right over Manba’s head… Fourth team: Team Date - in which we see how Tsuru, Mitsu and Kara have all inherited a different part of Masamune’s personality + Mitsu being all ‘Masamune would never do that!’ to just about everything Musou!Masamune does…. Third team: Team ‘Hasebe has no chill’!! Second team: Team Elegance and Grace~ :3 Since Kasen is all about doing things elegantly and Ichigo is all about that grace (doing things gracefully is one of Ichigo’s lines in the original game and I think he says it too in Musou? Probably in one of the many un-subtitled lines… I wish they’d subbed all the things they say, e.g. when they enter the battlefield, use a special move, on the homescreen etc.)

And the First team will probably be Team Overpowered or Team ‘Tonbo-papa minding his two overgrown kids’??? XDD

Band Yarouze 6th Anniversary announcements!!

So today (13 Oct 2022) is apparently Banyaro's 6th anniversary and they suddenly made 3 big announcements! (Though, sadly, no, the game isn't coming back.)

First, songs from Banyaro have been added to a variety of music streaming services.

(I had a look on Spotify and it doesn't look like they've put all the Banyaro songs though...)

Second, a DVD & Blu-ray of the last Band Yarouze Christmas live that happened back in 2019 will be released on 21 Dec 2022!! It's now available for preorder on places like Animate, Amazon JP, Ami Ami, etc. It comes with a special clear folder and various different bonuses depending on where you order from. More info here!

Lastly, there will be a commemorative screening event to celebrate the release of the aforementioned DVD & Bluray. More info here.

And I think I’ve finished the First Team’s part of the story?

Anyway, the First Team turned out to be Team Mature and Responsible?? XD Neither Mikazuki nor Sengo caused any trouble and Tonbo-papa didn’t have to worry about them! 

Sure, Sengo still talked about stripping all the time but he didn’t cause any mischief and was actually surprisingly chill about the whole ‘cursed sword’ thing?

And Mikazuki was in master detective mode! XD

Anyway, the true nature of the altered timelines has been revealed (and it immediately made me think of Hideyoshi’s death poem) and Omokage’s ‘missing piece’ has been revealed as well. I should be at the final story arc of the game now?

Played more of the Second Team’s part of the story over the weekend. Still not done with it. Progress was probably hindered because I failed two of the missions on the first try... One was where I had to find the tea house (missed the tea house on my first try) and the other is the rooftop one with the gates (was disorientated by the change in terrain as this mission was all on rooftops).

Anyway, so far, I think Kasen is the best team leader~!! He was very welcoming to their new member Omokage and level-headed, unlike Hasebe ‘has no chill and so very suspicious of Omokage’ Heshikiri, and he was open to suggestions from his team members.

I also loved the little remarks Namazuo and Hyuga made during battles where they admired Ichigo~ :3c (I’m biased. Ichigo is my best boy.)

Though, I also just realized that Ichigo has probably lost at least a few brothers as this honmaru is supposed to have lost quite a number of swords... orz
