omg u do teen beach movie reqs?!🤧. could we have a seacat x f reader where he really likes us, and his friends are always trying to help him to make moves on us and that often makes our friends tease us, and everything is just sorta bubbly and cute? (r is a surfer, and she’s sweet and often rlly quiet, kinda the opposite of seacat). thanks, be prepared for more from me i just finished watching this movie☠️☠️.
yes yes yes. honestly figuring out jordan fisher was in teen beach movie was just as thrilling for me as finding out he was in teen wolf

There is a scene currently unfolding on the beach before you, one that you are trying your utmost not to notice. This task is growing more herculean by the second, because although you’ve all but buried yourself alive in your book, the sound of shouting is impossible to ignore.
From the few scant glances you’ve been stealing, you can get a rough guess of just what is going down. The surfers are out again, this time causing trouble of their own volition without even having to blame the bikers for it. The cause of all the commotion also seems to be centered around one boy in particular, the one with the dark brown curls and coral hat.
A voice from beside you interrupts your best attempts at staying oblivious to the proceedings. “You know, you are allowed to actually watch what’s happening. The rest of us have chosen to accept this as free entertainment.”
You glance over at your friend with a grin. You two are sitting side by side in a long row of beach chairs pulled out under the shade of a nearby house, one with an excellent view of the beach and the aforementioned scene. To your left, Giggles is sipping a fruity drink, and to your right, Kiki is calling you out for no good reason.
You grimace. “Yes, but if I look up from my book for a second, I might make eye contact with one of them due to all the stares they keep throwing my way. And if that’s the case, I might also realize that all of this has to do with me, and I don’t think I’m supposed to know that quite yet.”
Kiki laughs. “Y/N, how could you ever think that they’re talking about you?”
Just as she poses the question, one of the surfers flings his arm dramatically towards you, all the while shouting your name so loudly that a few nearby seagulls startle and take flight.
You arch a brow. “Yeah, I have no idea why I’d think such a thing.”
Besides, everyone on this side of the beach knows what’s going on. From the surfers to the bikers, this sort of strife has been the hottest news of the summer. Basically, Seacat is facing trouble from his friends because they keep teasing him about something:  namely, the fact that he likes you and can’t seem to muster up the courage to admit it.
That’s what they’re doing now, after all, trying to say anything they can to convince him to ask you out. The surfers are a good bunch with good hearts, but man, they can be loud. You can hear practically every other word from their conversation despite being fairly far away from them.
It’s not like you mind it, though. In truth, you would be more than alright with Seacat asking you out. Your worst fear is that he won’t be able to do it at all, and his crush will fade as surely as the tide.
Thing is, you’ve been harboring a crush of your own for quite some time. You never thought your feelings would actually be returned, though– Seacat is unlike you in almost every way. He’s loud where you’re shy, exuberant where you’re quiet. You’re both still surfers, but that’s the most you have in common.
Still, you like him. Seacat has a character that makes him more fun than anyone else here, a way of making you laugh even when you swear up and down that you’ll never smile again. He sticks true to his friends and never lets a single detail go unnoticed– except, that is, when it comes to the fact that one of them may like him back.
This lands you back to square one, which involves the surfers all working together to get it through Seacat’s head that you actually do have feelings for him and he really needs to ask you out before it’s too late. You wouldn’t mind if they could be a little less obvious about it, though, because your friends are teasing you about it just as badly as Seacat’s are teasing him.
Next to you, Giggles rolls her eyes. “You might as well pay attention, it could actually goad Seacat into doing something. They’ve been having meetings like this all week.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose. “You think I don’t know that? Tanner has been following me around the beach to see if he can pick up on my favorite kind of flower to report back to Seacat. Eventually, they stepped on my towel so many times that I gave up and had to say it to you so he could overhear it and leave me alone.”
Giggles frowns contemplatively. “That does explain why you suddenly started talking about flowers yesterday. It didn’t make a lot of sense at the moment.”
You sigh. “None of this makes sense. I mean, when has Seacat ever needed encouragement for anything? He’s as confident as they come. Honestly, I think that’s just a sign that he doesn’t like me after all.”
Kiki and Giggles erupt in twin howls of outrage, both of them talking over each other to convince you how totally wrong you are to even suggest that.
“Honestly,” Kiki pleads, “the fact that he’s having trouble with asking you out shows that he clearly likes you a lot. I mean, why would he be overthinking things unless he really wanted to get this right?”
“Yeah,” Giggles adds, “plus, you and Seacat will be the cutest couple ever. I can practically sense it.”
“You say that about every couple here,” you point out, “even the ones that break up.”
“Well,” she sniffs, “this is different. You two are special.”
You laugh. “Well, I’m glad you’re certain about it. That would make one of us.”
Kiki’s face softens, and she reaches over to place a comforting hand on your shoulder. “Hey, don’t worry about it. I think the other surfers are making progress. Maybe Seacat will ask you out tonight, how about that?”
You smile at the thought. “We can only hope.”
Tonight is important, after all, it marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Big Momma’s opening its doors for the very first time. The restaurant has been home to surfers and bikers alike for as long as anyone can remember, so of course everyone will be coming down to celebrate.
You’ve heard that the dancing should be spectacular, so you and your friends will be taking the trip down to see it for yourselves, dressed your best and ready to have fun. If Seacat’s smart, he’ll choose this as the perfect time to ask you out. He won’t even have to pay for decorations.
The hour of the celebration draws nearer, and you feel yourself growing nervous. You have no proof that Seacat will ask you out, after all, only the speculations of your friends. If you’ve learned one important lesson, though, it’s that your friends are usually right when it comes to these sorts of things. They know what boys like, and that’s girls like all of you.
You straighten the collar of your outfit nervously. Your friends have assured you a thousand times that you look stunning, but that doesn’t stop a storm of butterflies from taking up roost in your stomach.
At last, it’s time to go, and you head out with your friends in a rush of pastel colors and swishing skirts, flower crowns and tulle ruffles. There’s a crowd around the doors to Big Momma’s, and the throngs of people only grow once you step inside.
Despite all of this, you still manage to find Seacat immediately. He’s across the room from you, but the two of you lock eyes through all of the people. A soft smile appears on his face, and he starts to weave around the throngs of dancers to make his way to you.
By your sides, Kiki and Giggles exchange triumphant smiles, then discreetly slip away so that you’re alone when Seacat reaches you at last.
“You look really nice,” he says.
“So do you,” you respond.
He holds out a hand to you. “Want to dance?”
“Sure,” you breathe, and take his hand without a second’s hesitation.
He flashes a relieved smile at you and leads you out onto the dancer. You’re certain that you see at least half a dozen other surfers give him a thumbs up when they see that the two of you are together, likely the result of many hours’ careful planning.
When you’re in the middle of the floor, Seacat turns to face you again. The song is familiar, one of your favorites, and the moves come easily. Seacat’s a good dancer, the two of you live and breathe and do well together.
You’d like to think that it’s a sign of something, and maybe he does too, that both you and him have been supposed to be together for all of this time. Someone or something out there cut you two from the same cloth, and now you’re figuring out what it means to never have to be alone again.
The song ends soon enough. The silence seems pressingly loud in the absence of the music, and it rings around the dance floor, weaving in between partners and groups and solitary figures.
Seacat leans close to you, speaking now that it’s quiet enough for you to hear him. “I was wondering something.”
He freezes slightly, and you nod encouragingly. “Yeah?”
He takes a steadying breath, then keeps talking. “Would you want to go out with me? It wouldn’t have to be a big deal, of course. Maybe ice cream or a movie? Or both?”
He looks at you hopefully, eyes full of all the daydreams he’s been too afraid to believe in all of this time. Luckily for him, you don’t intend to crush those aspirations quite yet.
“I’d love to go out with you,” you say, and Seacat’s face breaks into a dazzling grin.
“Really?” He asks, then tries to seem more sure of himself. “I mean, yeah, that would be a lot of fun. Maybe this Friday at six? I can pick you up.”
You nod, smiling. “I’ll see you then.”
Just like that, you’ve got a date. Life couldn’t be better.

obligatorially thinking through [uhh "i don't dance" from hsm2 crossover with summer stock joke] instead i'm posting that umm "like me" from meta dcom musical "teen beach movie" crossover put it in summer stock ('50 movie) where the main problem is jane as mack (green) isn't telling gloria as lela (pink) to be more feminist as much as a dcom character a decade ago could do so (girlboss through personal choices, which eventually (sequel ending) lela does so hard she becomes a god in the teen beach cinematic multiverse which includes the "real world." win) but rather jane is hardworking enough to never Need to be ordered with increasing browbeating into doing things correctly, while gloria is so sillily insistent on thinking of herself as a person, oversensitive as she is, that she ends up with orville who is silly enough to be focused on his fiancee being a person with feelings, instead of romantically bossing her around, and doesn't mind that gloria has Too Much Moxie, while himself interestingly indeed having an arc about behaving more "correctly" that still only hinges on telling the other guy who's being pushy & demanding & mean to back off (his father) (gloria getting to do the same to joe When. while jane is like "oh whew i thought you were going to yell at me. wow i can hardly believe you aren't" to joe while their romantic future is assured to us) like gloria and orville as sympathetic & uncondemned & deserving of a happy ending too but also still like haha smh oh those two. surprise, the [husband ready to declare his demands and his wife who is hopefully so dutiful he doesn't even need to give them] dynamic isn't Timeless somehow. anyways every teen beach movie number rules also. and jordan fisher is there
#'50 voice ''haha we all know those wayward couples who are so compatibly [way to be a pussy] that it manages to work''#the man who won't run over the woman's feelings and the woman who won't stop insisting on having & even acting on those feelings#again i'm so sure that summer stock '23 is like ''okay so from the start actually joe's Not an asshole'' lol#Like Me! x6#''i don't dance'' also requiring the shakeup of [okay so corbin bleu's role is jane's. or orville's. vs ryan being joe. or idk. phil?]#truly when learning jordan fisher was cast as evan hansen like omg i know him.....Seacat#teen beach musical not only riffing on but building on hsm like thee choreography. composing & arranging. editing. thee Fun. my god....#Youtube#also nothing could be like I Don't Dance is re: sexuality metaphors but teen beach movie is impressively gay#in that like hsm it's like time to be more confident following our hearts & then unlike hsm this happens through friendship#and the friendship that gets the most focus & weight is that of the would be gay pairings. but also everyone in the main quartet#dates every other member of it basically so it's like well really all the more reason to be like okay sewww....#while you tell your bestie to not even worry abt Attracting The Opposite Sex(tm)(tm)(tm)#but hey chill & have fun & don't be afraid to be vulnerable & follow your heart do what you wanna do :) nothing gay possible therein#and if it improves your would be straight(tm) relationships? well that's Just Like Real Life :) (for real lol. nonsarcastic '':)'')

My favorite dimension crossing movies 🕷🏄
ID: [a digital drawing of the teen beach movie poster but in place of each character is a character from across the spider verse. Brady is replaced with miles and Mack with gwen. Gayatri is lela, pavitr is tanner, hobie is bucky, Margo is seacat, lyla is giggles, peni is one of the biker girls, and the two other characters in the poster are just both completely masked spidermans.] /End ID

꒰      ˚      ( jordan fisher, cis man, he/him ) — 🎬 just announced, nico sharpe has been cast as chad danforth in the upcoming high school musical reboot. the twenty four year old is trending as people are debating if the observant glances, hidden behind a sunshine smile, being friends with everyone, ghost stories told around the campfire, the choice between contentment and endless ambition and long confident strides forward ; no matter the adversities that they are known for is enough to make them as good as original. a quick google search shows that their fans call them felicific, but internet trolls think they’re more heedless. i guess their newest interview for variety where they talk about how he once walked up 10 flights of stairs because there was a lizard in the elevator will let people to know them better.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐓𝐖𝐎   :   𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘.
our  story  begins  on  a  windy  morning  in  los  angeles,  california.  after  hours  in  the  waiting  room,  the  crying  sounds  of  a  baby  are  heard  in  the  hallway;  two  parents  are  welcoming  their  second  son  into  the  world:  nicholas.  everyone  in  the  sharpe  family  was  awaiting  that  moment.  only  a  couple  hours  born  and  the  sound  of  endless  laughter  fills  the  room,  turning  into  a  permanent  echo  in  nico’s  head.  his  parents  were  both  enthused,  even  though  nico  wasn’t  their  first  child  his  arrival  was  a  gift  for  both  of  them  and  their  little  growing  family.  it  took  the  couple  about  six  years  to  have  another  child  after  their  firstborn  due  to  a  never  ending  share  of  complications.  both  sides  of  the  families  were  concerned  that  they  weren’t  going  to  look  for  more  kids  —  something  that,  for  whatever  reason,  was  a  horrifying  thought  —  since  the  couple  never  publicly  shared  their  relationship  struggles.  luckily  for  them,  and  the  couple,  things  turned  around  for  the  better.
now,  the  first  few  years  of  nico’s  life,  he  never  truly  understood  what  he  had  managed  to  find  himself  in.  having  no  concept  of  fame  or  stardom,  being  kept  away  from  the  flashes  of  cameras  for  as  long  as  he  can  remember.  it  wasn’t  until  he  entered  kindergarten  that  he  started  to  slowly  grasp  a  bit  more  of  that  world.  despite  this,  nico’s  early  childhood  remains  pretty  close  to  his  heart.  his  parents  were  wonderful,  even  though  they  always  seemed  to  be  busy  with  their  careers  yet  none  of  their  children  ever  truly  felt  like  they  were  totally absent  in  their  lives. sure, sometimes they would miss a school play or two, but they were pros at distributing the absences between the two of them equally ( if his mom wasn't there, his dad would be and viceversa ).
jumping  ahead  to  when  he  was  in  college,  he  had  already  been  eyeing  the  world  of  acting  and  performing,  a  very  vivid  memory  of  his  mom  taking  him  on  a  ‘ bring  your  son  to  work ’  kind  of  day  and  seeing  her  in  her  element  first-hand,  plays  in  his  mind  again  and  again.  seeing  the  way  she  took  over  the  character  and  made  it  her  own,  basically  transforming  in  front  of  his  very  eyes.  that  was  the  time  where  he  felt  enamored  by  theater.  after  that,  he  just  wanted  to  be  on  the  screen  and  performing.
after  years  of  taking  many,  many  classes  and  being  casted  for short  commercials;  at  the  age  of  18,  nico  with  the  help  of  his  parents  signed  into  an  agency.  pretty  shortly,  he  was  getting  all  kinds  of  auditions  for  all  different  types  of  shows  and  commercials.  after  a  few  rejections,  he  started  getting  call  backs  saying  he  got  the  part.  they  were  all  very  small  at  the  start,  given  his  lack  of  experience  yet,  he  constantly  received  praises  for  how  much  of  a  natural  he  was  in  front  of  the  cameras.  jumping  ahead  to  2016,  he  got  casted  for  the  role  of  chidi  in  nbc’s  show,  the  good  place;  his  big  break.  this  was  the  first  step  into  trying  to  create  his  own  name  and  identity  away  from  his  parents.  he was proud of being a sharpe, but, the expectations of the last name were, at one point, very suffocating.
aside  from  acting,  nico  devoted  most  of  his  teenage  years  into  dancing  and  singing.  showing  his  incline  for  music  and  art  in  various  forms  since  he  was  a  kid.  he  remembers  the  first  time  he  went  to  a  broadway  show  with  his  mom,  they  went  to  watch  aladdin.  now,  the  kid  loved  aladdin  as  well,  but  something  about  the  energy,  the  performance,  the  visuals  happened  to  take  over  everything  for  him.  suddenly,  life  felt  very  much  like  a  that's  so  raven  vision,  he  could  envision  himself  in  a  stage  like  that  in  the  future  and  the  idea  of  that  was  magical.  he  never  knew  you  could  get  so  much  euphoria  from  a  dream. so,  he  started  looking  into  doing  musicals.  with  this,  he  started  sending  resumes  whenever  auditions  for  a  new  musical  would  be  announced.  this  lead  to  him  getting  casted  in  a  few  musicals  such  as  grease  where  he  was  casted  as  doody,  and  rent  where  he  was  casted  as  mark  cohen.  after  the  good  place  ended,  he  continued  doing  a  lot  of  musicals  such  as  hamilton  where  he  got  casted  as  aaron  burr  and  hadestown  as  orpheus.
in the midst of all his musicals and movies, he also began to start up his singing career outside of musicals. he started uploading videos of song covers to youtube, as well as working on his own singles as an artist. aside from this, he also worked on various soundtracks of different movies. eventually, he ended up releasing his first EP to the public. we’re  now  in  the  present  and  things  continue  to  look  up  to  nico.  having  recently  getting  offered  the  role  of  chad  danforth  in  the  netflix’s  high  school  musical  reboot.
𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄   :   𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘.
if  you  look  up  the  definition  of  extrovert  in  the  dictionary,  nico's  face  would  show  up.  he  is  an  incredibly  social  person,  someone  who  is  desperate  to  know  what  you’re  thinking  or  what  are  the  things  that  make you  move.  incredibly  expressive,  he  kind  of  wears  his  emotions  on  his  sleeve, he doesn't hide  what  he  is  feeling.  he  always  tries  to  be  the  person  in  the  room  to  make  the  dumbest  joke  if  he  senses  that  the  air  gets  the  tiniest  bit  tense  so  as  to  lighten  up  the  vibe.  he  is  a  perfectionist  and  super  self-critical,  he’s  probably  his  #1  hater  in  the  sense  that  he  always  thinks  he  needs  to  try  harder,  like  he’s  not  doing  enough.  he  could  be  doing  a  summersault  on  stage  and  it  could  come  out  being  incredible  but  he  would  still  say  ‘  i  need  to  try  harder,  let  me  do  it  again  ‘,  it’s  somehow  never  good  enough  for  him,  he’s  really  critical  of  his  work  and  performance.  whereas  with  other  artists  he  thinks  anything  they  do  is  out  of  this  world.  holds  himself  at  an  unrealistic  high  standard  that  he  thinks  he  never  reaches. he  is  a  very  people  driven  person,  very  empathetic,  can  sort  of  be  an  emotional  barometer  for  everyone  around  him.  loves  making  connections  with  people,  has  a  very  deep  desire  to  be  liked  therefore  is  incredibly  sensitive  to  feedback  whether  it  is  positive  or  negative,  obviously  negative  feedback  affects  him  way  more  than  the  positive  still  not  knowing  how  to  not  let  it  get  to  him  as  bad  as  it  does.  he's  very  emotionally  in  tune  when  it  comes  to  other  people  and  being  open  with  others  about  their  emotions,  he loves connecting emotionally with others. he doesn't try nor hides how he feels, being very upfront with his emotions. if he's angry or sad, he'll let you know and you'll definitely see it. he  is  a  very  calm  person,  he  doesn't  let  anyone  or  anything  disturb  his  peace.  he prefers to not give other people that much power over him. in  a  emergency  situation  you  can  always  count  on  him  to  keep  his  cool  at  all  times.  never  one  to  emotionally  explode,  not  because  he's  ashamed  to  show  that  or  is  unable  to  express  that  but  because  he  thinks  that  not  everything  is  worth  or  deserves  a  reaction.  so,  if  he's  gonna  exhaust  himself  emotionally,  it  has to  be  for  a  good  and  deserving  reason. he  is  constantly  challenging  himself,  whether  that  is  going  out  of  his  comfort  zone  both  profesionally  and  personally  or  experimenting  with  new  things,  he  hates  feeling  like  he  is  stuck  or  trapped,  so  anything  that  gives  him  the  sensation  of  adventure,  release  or  change  is  incredibly  important  to  him.  he  likes  to  pretend  like  he  doesn’t  catch  feelings  but  he  actually  does  so  ridiculously  fast,  this  clip  defines  him.  when  it  comes  to  relationships,  he  doesn’t  really  care  about  privacy  unless  we’re  talking  about  really  meaningful,  intense  relationships;  those  he  actually  protects  from  everybody  with  a  lock  &  key.  but  anything  that  he  might  consider  foolish  and  meaningless,  he  doesn't really invest that much time or deep care for.

Lisa, my love, I would like to extent my sincere thanks for you taking my Seacat request, especially when you have half a million things in your queue already. That said, here we go!!
Okay, so I would like to request a Seacat + male Reader. The Reader is not a biker or surfer, but he has a punk aesthetic that goes a bit further than the bikers', to the point where most people are a bit scared of him and he doesn't really have any friends. However, he's actually really quiet and sweet, and has an amazing singing voice, but most people refuse to spend enough time with him to realize this. But since Big Mama looks at him as something like a son, he spends a lot of time at the restaurant, helping out around the place.
One night, Seacat gets to Big Mama's before the rest of the surfers when they're supposed to hang out, and he hears the Reader singing while wiping down tables and is just... blown away. Seacat, who's actually had a crush on the Reader from afar for a while now, insists that everyone should get to hear the Reader sing, but the Reader is too used to people being scared of him and doesn't really want to. Eventually, though, Seacat and Big Mama together manage to convince him, and the Reader performs the next night at the restaurant, and once everybody hears how beautifully he sings and realizes what a sweet and nervous person he actually is, they start to warm up to him more.
And then the fic ends with the Reader thanking Seacat for helping him gain some confidence, and they have a really sweet confession? If you don't want to write this, though, that's totally cool! Thanks and have an awesome day/night, and I hope you're doing well!! 🖤🖤🖤

Seacat typically prides himself as someone who has always been able to figure people out. Give him thirty seconds and a good solid stare, and Seacat has a hold on anyone, down to the last item on their bucket lists. The only exception to this rule came with the whole surfers versus bikers dilemma of the past few years, but no one was able to see through that, so it’s not like Seacat was any exception.
It’s quite disappointing, then, that Seacat finds himself looking straight at a dead end. There’s a kid in town who’s neither surfer nor biker, some sort of strange third option that has never really existed before in all of Seacat’s knowledge. Everyone around here is either a board shorts beach kid or a slicked back scrambler, no in between.
It makes no sense. Absolutely no sense whatsoever. Maybe that’s why Seacat is so fascinated with figuring the guy out, and so deeply frustrated that he can’t seem to manage it.
He thought he was being pretty cool about not letting his desperation to sort this boy into categories show, but evidently Seacat’s wrong on another front. He’s barely walked outside the doors to Big Momma’s with a crew of surfers one sunny morning when he’s confronted with the truth.
It’s another hot day out near the surf, and Seacat and his friends had retreated inside for a few minutes to grab some cold drinks. Now, they’re lounging near the entrance, waiting to finish their drinks before hitting the water again. Seacat is leaning against the wall, regarding the odd boy out with what he thought was a barely perceptible interest.
According to his best friend, Tanner, however, Seacat’s eyes are practically bulging out of their sockets. The other surfer takes one glance at Seacat and starts to laugh.
“Listen, what’s your deal with Y/N? Did he accidentally get chewing gum on your board or something?”
Seacat blinks in surprise. “No, what are you talking about?”
Tanner shrugs, evidently not as consumed by the mystery of just who Y/N L/N is as Seacat. “Figured he had to have done something, or you wouldn’t be staring at him like that. I mean, yeah, he’s a little weird and all that, but the rest of us have given up on him.”
Seacat frowns. “But what if he’s not just weird? What if there’s something that all of us are missing that actually makes total sense?”
“Like what?” Tanner asks, dubious.
“Like how we all hated the bikers until we realized they were just like us?” Seacat hazards.
Tanner groans in acknowledgment. “You’re not wrong there. But look, Y/N is different. He’s not a biker at all. There’s no understanding him.”
“No,” Seacat says, staring out across the street towards where he can just make out the silhouette of Y/N disappearing around the corner, “but that doesn’t mean I can’t try.”
In all honesty, Seacat can understand why Tanner doesn’t seem willing to give Y/N a shot. None of them are, not really. Seacat can’t even remember whether Y/N started out as a surfer or a biker, he’s been his own guy for as long as anyone can remember.
Seacat supposes the best description of the enigma that is Y/N L/N would be a punk. Studded jacket, dark and deadly stare, the works. He’s too edgy for the surfers and too unique for the bikers, and thus Y/N stays by himself, always on the fringe of both groups, never truly a part of either.
He’s been poking up on Seacat’s radar for some time now, but Seacat has never been called to action on the matter until recently. It’s been a slow burn of impressions, attentions, and near misses, all contributing to the gradual sense that everybody in this entire town is skipping over something about Y/N, something big.
Seacat is determined to figure out what that something is. He doesn’t know why, but he has to figure it out. He’ll never rest until he does. For now, all he can do is keep staring, keep watching, and hope for the moment in which Y/N’s tough as nails demeanor drops and Seacat finally gets to see the real person inside.
As it turns out, Seacat’s golden opportunity might come a little faster than he had hoped. Barely a few days have gone by since that conversation with Tanner before Seacat finds himself strolling down to Big Momma’s again, this time later in the afternoon. The surfers are all going to hang out here tonight, maybe have a dance or two before skipping on down to the waves.
Seacat had nothing better to do other than twiddle his thumbs, so he decided to walk over to the restaurant a little early, just because. Maybe he can help set up or something; they all owe Big Momma that much for letting the surfers and bikers crash there time after time.
It looks as if Big Momma already has a helper here, however. Seacat has barely breezed through the doors before he stops dead in his tracks. There’s another boy half hidden in the shadows of the place, wending in and out of Seacat’s line of sight as he cleans off tables and gets the place ready for the day.
It’s Y/N. What’s more, seeing as Y/N believes himself to be alone, he’s singing along to some old tune rattling out of a banged up CD player on a nearby chair. He’s got a good voice, anyone could admit that, but Seacat is so startled to hear it coming out of a boy like Y/N that he’s blown away even more.
Seacat doesn’t know how much time he spends standing there, just looking, just watching. It reminds Seacat of the sunrise on an early morning, empty beaches as far as the eye can see. No one else sees the crystal clear blue of the water, just you. No one else hears the fact that Y/N L/N might be the best singer in the entire town, just Seacat.
He could have stayed there until the end of time, he thinks, but of course no pure thing can stick around here forever. Eventually, Y/N loops casually around a table, putting him at just the right place to look up and spot Seacat standing there at the entrance. Although it’s been wonderful to listen to Y/N sing, he was only allowing himself such freedoms because he was working and supposed himself to be alone. There’s no reason he would ever continue if he knew he had an audience.
Seacat knows that in an instant, even before the boy looks up, startled, to lock eyes with him. Instantly, Y/N looks away again, speaking in a gruff voice so as to discourage any possible thought of conversation.
“Place doesn’t open for a while,” he says, “might as well head out again.”
Seacat shakes his head slightly. “I hardly want to leave now. I didn’t know you could sing so well, Y/N.”
Y/N chuckles, barely a trace of humor evident in the sound. “Didn’t think you and your friends had the chance to figure it out. You never came close enough to try.”
Seacat winces. “We were wrong for that. I can see it now.”
Surprised, Y/N glances back over at him. “You mean that?”
Seacat nods solemnly. “As much as I mean that you should sing more often. This whole town should hear you.”
Y/N arches a disbelieving brow. “Did you hit your head on that surfboard? This town doesn’t want to even see me, let alone hear me sing.”
“I want to hear you,” Seacat says quietly, “Isn’t that enough?”
“You think one person is enough to make a sort of change like that?” Y/N asks, grip lazing on the side of his broom.
“Yeah,” Seacat says, unsteady at first but gaining strength as he goes, “Yeah, I do. Say, you should have a concert right here. Maybe it could happen next week. People would come, I’ll make sure of that. You’ve got a gift, Y/N. It would be a crime to let people forget that.”
Something like a smile appears on Y/N’s face. It softens the hard lines on his countenance, turning a jagged stare bright with light.
“You really believe in this whole idea, don’t you?” Y/N comments. It doesn’t sound like such a hard no as before. In fact, it almost sounds like a yes.
Seacat just nods, and that’s all it takes for Y/N to nod back at him.
“Alright, then. If you’re so sure of yourself, let’s do this. I have to ask Big Momma though, it’s her place and she has the final say.”
He’s scarcely voiced this thought before someone instantly calls back to him from the direction of the kitchen.
“Don’t even think twice about it! We’re doing the show, no doubt about it.”
Seacat and Y/N stare at each other for a moment in the resulting silence, then start to laugh. It appears that Big Momma may have been listening in to their conversation. At least she approves of the whole idea, right?
Then again, it’s not like she would have ever said no to something like this. Y/N has been all but adopted by Big Momma for a long time. When the rest of the town turned their backs on the boy, Big Momma was the one who stood up and offered him a home. Now, Y/N has been a permanent fixture at this happy seaside eatery, so of course it makes sense that Big Momma would want to do anything to give him a better shot.
With this final benediction, Seacat is clear to get the concert in order. He organizes friends, grabs decorations, and basically does everything in his power to make sure this is going to work.
In some secret part of his mind, Seacat is terrified that it won’t. What if this town is so used to its preordained rules of right and wrong, its norms and traditions, that it refuses to let Y/N into the limelight even when he shows his capabilities?
Even now, Seacat can predict how that would go. It would crush Y/N for good, and probably take Seacat down with him for attempting something like this. At the same time, so what? Seacat has been wanting this for a while now, even if he didn’t know it would come in the form of a concert. If this is how he’s kicked to the curb, fine. At least he’d be in good company.
Seacat’s fears, however, turn out to be unfounded. Surfers and bikers alike roll up to the concert in record breaking waves, all eager to see the show. They’re earnest about their intentions, too, not a spark of scorn in sight.
As they should be, in all honesty. From the moment Y/N takes the stage and starts to sing, a hush falls upon the entire restaurant. Everyone, biker and surfer and cook alike, is silenced by the sheer force of their awe. Seacat knew Y/N was good, but that was when he wasn't even trying. This is something entirely different, something special.
The concert is over before he knows it, before it really should be in Seacat’s opinion. Y/N is immediately flooded by a rush of well wishers the second he steps off the stage, and for quite a while, the only thing Seacat can see of him is that brilliant, dazzling grin.
Eventually, Y/N manages to shake the crowd long enough to make his way over to Seacat.
“Well,” he says in his best attempt at a casual voice, “you might have been right about all this.”
Seacat grins almost as broadly as the other boy. “You mean it? You had fun up there?”
Y/N laughs. “Could you tell? I’ve never felt better. Doing all this, seeing all those people actually listen, it felt like I was living for the first time.”
“Well, I didn’t see a single person who wasn’t enjoying themselves,” Seacat says, “so clearly, your idea of living is right up there with everyone else’s. I’m glad you did this, Y/N. Really.”
“So am I,” he whispers, “but can I tell you something?”
At Seacat’s questioning nod, Y/N continues. “I didn’t just do this so I could be welcomed in by the rest of the town or whatever. I did it for you.”
Seacat’s brow furrows. “What? Why me?”
“It made sense to me,” Y/N smiles, “You were the one who was so excited about it. You haven’t seen me as a threat for quite some time, I’ve noticed that about you. Maybe I wanted to prove you were right about me. Yours is the only opinion I’d care to keep.”
Seacat looks at him, really looks at him. There’s no need to disguise his staring any more, each and every one of his glances Y/N’s way can be treasured to the utmost. “I wanted to do this for you,” he says unsteadily, “Guess it makes sense that we were each doing it for the other person.”
A shout from the other side of the restaurant; people are calling for encores, anything to get Y/N back up on that stage and singing again. The moment is stolen away again, but Y/N lingers just a little longer.
“You’d be surprised what I would do for you,” he says, and then vanishes back into the crowd, a shadow slipping away through this sea of friendly faces. Seacat stands there, breathless, and slowly, gratefully, begins to smile. He’s beginning to get an idea as to Y/N’s character, he thinks, and this time, he’s right.

i’m so glad you didn’t specify movie roles
matt from until dawn
seacat from teen beach movie (i like 2 better than 1 but both are good)
evan hansen in dear evan hansen
john laurens/philip hamilton from hamilton
mark cohen from rent: live
until dawn was my first real introduction to jordan fisher. thats why i think it’ll remain at the top of this list.
teen beach was my first real bad hyperfixation, and fallin’ for ya is such a fucking banger dude
he dialed down his rizz so much and was kind of an amazing evan hansen please never stop acting ilysm
jordan fisher was absolutely born to play john and philip and there’s no convincing me otherwise
the ONLY reason this isn’t higher is because he dialed down the rizz for deh and not for this and i will die mad about it (but i love him and i love rent so its here). mark, in my humble opinion, is rizzless. jordan fisher is not.
some honorable mentions:
orpheus, hadestown
anthony hope, sweeney todd
john rose-ambrose, to all the boys
robaire, turning red
noah patrick, teen wolf
clark, icarly
