There is a scene currently unfolding on the beach before you, one that you are trying your utmost not to notice. This task is growing more herculean by the second, because although you’ve all but buried yourself alive in your book, the sound of shouting is impossible to ignore.
From the few scant glances you’ve been stealing, you can get a rough guess of just what is going down. The surfers are out again, this time causing trouble of their own volition without even having to blame the bikers for it. The cause of all the commotion also seems to be centered around one boy in particular, the one with the dark brown curls and coral hat.
A voice from beside you interrupts your best attempts at staying oblivious to the proceedings. “You know, you are allowed to actually watch what’s happening. The rest of us have chosen to accept this as free entertainment.”
You glance over at your friend with a grin. You two are sitting side by side in a long row of beach chairs pulled out under the shade of a nearby house, one with an excellent view of the beach and the aforementioned scene. To your left, Giggles is sipping a fruity drink, and to your right, Kiki is calling you out for no good reason.
You grimace. “Yes, but if I look up from my book for a second, I might make eye contact with one of them due to all the stares they keep throwing my way. And if that’s the case, I might also realize that all of this has to do with me, and I don’t think I’m supposed to know that quite yet.”
Kiki laughs. “Y/N, how could you ever think that they’re talking about you?”
Just as she poses the question, one of the surfers flings his arm dramatically towards you, all the while shouting your name so loudly that a few nearby seagulls startle and take flight.
You arch a brow. “Yeah, I have no idea why I’d think such a thing.”
Besides, everyone on this side of the beach knows what’s going on. From the surfers to the bikers, this sort of strife has been the hottest news of the summer. Basically, Seacat is facing trouble from his friends because they keep teasing him about something:  namely, the fact that he likes you and can’t seem to muster up the courage to admit it.
That’s what they’re doing now, after all, trying to say anything they can to convince him to ask you out. The surfers are a good bunch with good hearts, but man, they can be loud. You can hear practically every other word from their conversation despite being fairly far away from them.
It’s not like you mind it, though. In truth, you would be more than alright with Seacat asking you out. Your worst fear is that he won’t be able to do it at all, and his crush will fade as surely as the tide.
Thing is, you’ve been harboring a crush of your own for quite some time. You never thought your feelings would actually be returned, though– Seacat is unlike you in almost every way. He’s loud where you’re shy, exuberant where you’re quiet. You’re both still surfers, but that’s the most you have in common.
Still, you like him. Seacat has a character that makes him more fun than anyone else here, a way of making you laugh even when you swear up and down that you’ll never smile again. He sticks true to his friends and never lets a single detail go unnoticed– except, that is, when it comes to the fact that one of them may like him back.
This lands you back to square one, which involves the surfers all working together to get it through Seacat’s head that you actually do have feelings for him and he really needs to ask you out before it’s too late. You wouldn’t mind if they could be a little less obvious about it, though, because your friends are teasing you about it just as badly as Seacat’s are teasing him.
Next to you, Giggles rolls her eyes. “You might as well pay attention, it could actually goad Seacat into doing something. They’ve been having meetings like this all week.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose. “You think I don’t know that? Tanner has been following me around the beach to see if he can pick up on my favorite kind of flower to report back to Seacat. Eventually, they stepped on my towel so many times that I gave up and had to say it to you so he could overhear it and leave me alone.”
Giggles frowns contemplatively. “That does explain why you suddenly started talking about flowers yesterday. It didn’t make a lot of sense at the moment.”
You sigh. “None of this makes sense. I mean, when has Seacat ever needed encouragement for anything? He’s as confident as they come. Honestly, I think that’s just a sign that he doesn’t like me after all.”
Kiki and Giggles erupt in twin howls of outrage, both of them talking over each other to convince you how totally wrong you are to even suggest that.
“Honestly,” Kiki pleads, “the fact that he’s having trouble with asking you out shows that he clearly likes you a lot. I mean, why would he be overthinking things unless he really wanted to get this right?”
“Yeah,” Giggles adds, “plus, you and Seacat will be the cutest couple ever. I can practically sense it.”
“You say that about every couple here,” you point out, “even the ones that break up.”
“Well,” she sniffs, “this is different. You two are special.”
You laugh. “Well, I’m glad you’re certain about it. That would make one of us.”
Kiki’s face softens, and she reaches over to place a comforting hand on your shoulder. “Hey, don’t worry about it. I think the other surfers are making progress. Maybe Seacat will ask you out tonight, how about that?”
You smile at the thought. “We can only hope.”
Tonight is important, after all, it marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Big Momma’s opening its doors for the very first time. The restaurant has been home to surfers and bikers alike for as long as anyone can remember, so of course everyone will be coming down to celebrate.
You’ve heard that the dancing should be spectacular, so you and your friends will be taking the trip down to see it for yourselves, dressed your best and ready to have fun. If Seacat’s smart, he’ll choose this as the perfect time to ask you out. He won’t even have to pay for decorations.
The hour of the celebration draws nearer, and you feel yourself growing nervous. You have no proof that Seacat will ask you out, after all, only the speculations of your friends. If you’ve learned one important lesson, though, it’s that your friends are usually right when it comes to these sorts of things. They know what boys like, and that’s girls like all of you.
You straighten the collar of your outfit nervously. Your friends have assured you a thousand times that you look stunning, but that doesn’t stop a storm of butterflies from taking up roost in your stomach.
At last, it’s time to go, and you head out with your friends in a rush of pastel colors and swishing skirts, flower crowns and tulle ruffles. There’s a crowd around the doors to Big Momma’s, and the throngs of people only grow once you step inside.
Despite all of this, you still manage to find Seacat immediately. He’s across the room from you, but the two of you lock eyes through all of the people. A soft smile appears on his face, and he starts to weave around the throngs of dancers to make his way to you.
By your sides, Kiki and Giggles exchange triumphant smiles, then discreetly slip away so that you’re alone when Seacat reaches you at last.
“You look really nice,” he says.
“So do you,” you respond.
He holds out a hand to you. “Want to dance?”
“Sure,” you breathe, and take his hand without a second’s hesitation.
He flashes a relieved smile at you and leads you out onto the dancer. You’re certain that you see at least half a dozen other surfers give him a thumbs up when they see that the two of you are together, likely the result of many hours’ careful planning.
When you’re in the middle of the floor, Seacat turns to face you again. The song is familiar, one of your favorites, and the moves come easily. Seacat’s a good dancer, the two of you live and breathe and do well together.
You’d like to think that it’s a sign of something, and maybe he does too, that both you and him have been supposed to be together for all of this time. Someone or something out there cut you two from the same cloth, and now you’re figuring out what it means to never have to be alone again.
The song ends soon enough. The silence seems pressingly loud in the absence of the music, and it rings around the dance floor, weaving in between partners and groups and solitary figures.
Seacat leans close to you, speaking now that it’s quiet enough for you to hear him. “I was wondering something.”
He freezes slightly, and you nod encouragingly. “Yeah?”
He takes a steadying breath, then keeps talking. “Would you want to go out with me? It wouldn’t have to be a big deal, of course. Maybe ice cream or a movie? Or both?”
He looks at you hopefully, eyes full of all the daydreams he’s been too afraid to believe in all of this time. Luckily for him, you don’t intend to crush those aspirations quite yet.
“I’d love to go out with you,” you say, and Seacat’s face breaks into a dazzling grin.
“Really?” He asks, then tries to seem more sure of himself. “I mean, yeah, that would be a lot of fun. Maybe this Friday at six? I can pick you up.”
You nod, smiling. “I’ll see you then.”
Just like that, you’ve got a date. Life couldn’t be better.

I loved the hasbin hotel with the sin of envy imagine the dating the sin of wrath.
The way I see most sins is the obey me versions were the sin of wrath is a cat loving book reading demon who you don't want to anger.
Tumblr media
Sin of Envy!Reader x Satan, Sin of Wrath
Includes: Envy!Reader and Satan.
A/N: I actually take inspiration from Obey Me! I’ll base the Sin of Wrath off of Satan!
Tumblr media
You met Satan through Asmodeus. He introduced the both of you because of your similar tastes.
You and Satan spoke for a bit and you learned a bunch about each other.
He learned that your favorite book was his own. He also learned you loved cats just as much as he did.
From that day on, the both of you became friends.
You’d visit the Wrath ring to see him and he’d visit the Envy ring to see you.
You two hung out almost all the time. People even started saying you two were attached at the hip.
You two even ended up adopting a Hell Cat together!
Satan always comes to your performances and sometimes even participates in them.
You two are also a force to be reckoned with. If either of you are angry, the other one gets angry too. If you’re both angry, hell breaks loose.
Your powers and his powers are perfect opposites. Your people are sea people/Glamours and can manipulate water. His people can manipulate fire and are desert-like creatures. Perfect opposites.
You two also get together every other day to read books. You both have similar tastes, so this made you even closer.
One day, you realized you had developed a crush on Satan.
You found yourself thinking about him and his charm whenever he was away.
You wanted to confess to him, but you didn’t know how.
You talked to Ozzie about it and he gave you some advice.
You took it to heart, but went to ask Beelzebub as well. She was your best friend, so why wouldn’t you?
She was SO happy that you trusted her with that and she gave you SO much advice.
Ozzie told you to be honest, while Beel told you to ease into it and flirt with him.
You didn’t know which to listen to, but you didn’t have to think for long.
Satan came up to you and confessed while holding your favorite book.
You two ended up getting together.
Everyone loves both of you. They started calling your ship SeaCat. You two played into it and named a club SeaCat.
You both hang out almost all the time and would fight together as well.
You protected his Imps while he protected your Glamours.
If anyone says anything to either of you, you both go after their head.
He’s a BIG cuddle bug, so expect his clingy ass to walk to your home and break in just to live on you.
Dates at Ozzie’s. You two have your own private room, curtesy of Asmodeus of course.
You two also go to other rings for dates as well.
He’s also very… how do I say it. Cheesy? The first time you two fucked, he put roses on your bed and you laughed your ass off.
You two are couple goals. Almost just as much so as Asmodeus and Fizz.

It make me curious, you got any other stuff like that? I would love to check them out!
Well… way back in the day I did the sloppiest VLR liveblog imaginable and absolutely not to the extent of this one. :’)
In terms of a similar style, I can also point to you my inspiration - Goats reading Seacats is an incredibly fun read for Umineko fans, by Umineko fans revisiting the material and diving into it like crazy (obviously, not spoiler-free).
I’ve also actually been looking into recording rather than writing commentary for some games I’ve set aside specifically for that (AI Somnium Files, The Great Ace Attorney, Ciconia Phase 1 for example). That project kinda got super sidetracked by me going MIA for the first half of 2022 for personal reasons but it’s not dead in the water yet, at least. I’d even experimented with DR:S a bit!
I’d be curious if there is a preference in style, though. I’m not exactly trying to stand out (the drv3 commentary literally just started as something fun for a friend) so other than the sheer amount of screenshots I needed to wade through at the time, I wonder if it might be better to stick to text than transition to video. 😅

Where I imagine the Seven (plus Calypso) taking seacations, cause why not- CALEO: I feel like Calypso and Leo would absolutely love this set up, cause the open beach would remind them of their campfires on Ogygia. Plus the whole thing is Calypso’s elegance and Leo’s restless aesthetic combined. Plus the sunset in the background kinda reminds me of Leo and the calm sea, of Calypso. Leo would…

Imagine being a surfer and being in a secret relationship with Lela
——— Masterlist / Ko-Fi ———
“I can’t. I have to get going. ” [Name] laughed, waving off her friends’ pleas to stay longer at Big Momma’s. Shrugging off Seacat’s arms off of her as the boy tried to block her way, she shook her head. “I promise I’ll make it up to you all another day, okay?”
With that promise, the Surfers let her go, however begrudgingly that was. Giving the group one last wave, she stepped out of the restaurant. Walking down the steps, she began making her way down the road, running a hand through her hair before placing them in her pockets. [Name] had only walked before she stopped to look over her shoulder, making sure that none of the surfers had decided to chase after her. When the coast was clear, she quickly made a sharp turn and began heading toward the beach.
“[Name], you’re here!” A voice cut through the air, shouting over the crashes of the nearby waves. Looking up, [Name] smiled as she looked up and saw Lela. The latter quickly ran toward [Name] before jumping into the former’s open arms.
Shaking her head though a smile began growing on her face, she was ready to catch Lela. Holding her tight, she spun the other girl around, enjoying the giggles the action caused. Letting her down, [Name] cupped her girlfriend’s face before pulling her into a slow kiss. As her lips moved against Lela’s, she made sure to enjoy the moment knowing that they happened few and far between. Pulling away reluctantly, [Name] rested her forehead against Lela’s. “I wish we didn’t have to sneak around.” She whispered, breaking the soft moment between the two.

“I want to know who your family is.”
“That is... a complex question,” Rex starts with a wry smile.
“But one I love to answer- my blood family is fairly small, at this moment- my mother, Zeyna, and my half sister Madje,” They answer- to the best of their knowledge, at least. “Madje in particular, once she found me, has truely dragged me by my tail back into the Keeper culture I should have been raised in, and to her clan the Mahkrvhan to whom I now belong. And besides that point, I see her own mates, Frair and her Wanderer as kin to me - that Wanderer in particular. We’ve been thick as theives for a while, and I couldn’t imagine a better match for my sister.”
“And speaking of matches, with my own mate with kitten at the moment, I suppose my immediate family is about to expand! I’m so excited to be dad, it’s something I’ve always dreamed of, but never imagined was possible.” Rex puffs their chest up proudly.
“Then of course, there’s my beloved mates- Rastirah, Anhe, and Lady Ceridwen Shadowstar. They’re family to me as much as any blood- not least of which Ras, who now more or less bears it after all.”
“The whole of their families, too, have become my own in a way- from Talyn and his extended brood of adoptive family, to Anhe and her adopted mother and sister, and her mysterious aunt and grandmother who have been... surprisingly welcoming to me. And not least of all, Ceridwen’s noble House, who have taken me into their home, given me my name ‘The Lionheart’ and invested me as a Knight of Ishgard- to me, Sir Integris has become something of a father already, and I look to him for guidance and inspiration as I brace myself for my own children to arrive. But the entire house from his good lady wife to the maids, to Rhydia and naturally of course Dwen’s brother Sirus... they’ve all become as close to me and closer than almost any family I’ve ever known... ”
Rex stops themself mid ramble and clears their throat.
“Um- I... think that’s everybody? Did I cover everyone? Bloody hellsfire, that’s... way more than I ever thought of before. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all of them, though.”

Lisa, my love, I would like to extent my sincere thanks for you taking my Seacat request, especially when you have half a million things in your queue already. That said, here we go!!
Okay, so I would like to request a Seacat + male Reader. The Reader is not a biker or surfer, but he has a punk aesthetic that goes a bit further than the bikers', to the point where most people are a bit scared of him and he doesn't really have any friends. However, he's actually really quiet and sweet, and has an amazing singing voice, but most people refuse to spend enough time with him to realize this. But since Big Mama looks at him as something like a son, he spends a lot of time at the restaurant, helping out around the place.
One night, Seacat gets to Big Mama's before the rest of the surfers when they're supposed to hang out, and he hears the Reader singing while wiping down tables and is just... blown away. Seacat, who's actually had a crush on the Reader from afar for a while now, insists that everyone should get to hear the Reader sing, but the Reader is too used to people being scared of him and doesn't really want to. Eventually, though, Seacat and Big Mama together manage to convince him, and the Reader performs the next night at the restaurant, and once everybody hears how beautifully he sings and realizes what a sweet and nervous person he actually is, they start to warm up to him more.
And then the fic ends with the Reader thanking Seacat for helping him gain some confidence, and they have a really sweet confession? If you don't want to write this, though, that's totally cool! Thanks and have an awesome day/night, and I hope you're doing well!! 🖤🖤🖤

Seacat typically prides himself as someone who has always been able to figure people out. Give him thirty seconds and a good solid stare, and Seacat has a hold on anyone, down to the last item on their bucket lists. The only exception to this rule came with the whole surfers versus bikers dilemma of the past few years, but no one was able to see through that, so it’s not like Seacat was any exception.
It’s quite disappointing, then, that Seacat finds himself looking straight at a dead end. There’s a kid in town who’s neither surfer nor biker, some sort of strange third option that has never really existed before in all of Seacat’s knowledge. Everyone around here is either a board shorts beach kid or a slicked back scrambler, no in between.
It makes no sense. Absolutely no sense whatsoever. Maybe that’s why Seacat is so fascinated with figuring the guy out, and so deeply frustrated that he can’t seem to manage it.
He thought he was being pretty cool about not letting his desperation to sort this boy into categories show, but evidently Seacat’s wrong on another front. He’s barely walked outside the doors to Big Momma’s with a crew of surfers one sunny morning when he’s confronted with the truth.
It’s another hot day out near the surf, and Seacat and his friends had retreated inside for a few minutes to grab some cold drinks. Now, they’re lounging near the entrance, waiting to finish their drinks before hitting the water again. Seacat is leaning against the wall, regarding the odd boy out with what he thought was a barely perceptible interest.
According to his best friend, Tanner, however, Seacat’s eyes are practically bulging out of their sockets. The other surfer takes one glance at Seacat and starts to laugh.
“Listen, what’s your deal with Y/N? Did he accidentally get chewing gum on your board or something?”
Seacat blinks in surprise. “No, what are you talking about?”
Tanner shrugs, evidently not as consumed by the mystery of just who Y/N L/N is as Seacat. “Figured he had to have done something, or you wouldn’t be staring at him like that. I mean, yeah, he’s a little weird and all that, but the rest of us have given up on him.”
Seacat frowns. “But what if he’s not just weird? What if there’s something that all of us are missing that actually makes total sense?”
“Like what?” Tanner asks, dubious.
“Like how we all hated the bikers until we realized they were just like us?” Seacat hazards.
Tanner groans in acknowledgment. “You’re not wrong there. But look, Y/N is different. He’s not a biker at all. There’s no understanding him.”
“No,” Seacat says, staring out across the street towards where he can just make out the silhouette of Y/N disappearing around the corner, “but that doesn’t mean I can’t try.”
In all honesty, Seacat can understand why Tanner doesn’t seem willing to give Y/N a shot. None of them are, not really. Seacat can’t even remember whether Y/N started out as a surfer or a biker, he’s been his own guy for as long as anyone can remember.
Seacat supposes the best description of the enigma that is Y/N L/N would be a punk. Studded jacket, dark and deadly stare, the works. He’s too edgy for the surfers and too unique for the bikers, and thus Y/N stays by himself, always on the fringe of both groups, never truly a part of either.
He’s been poking up on Seacat’s radar for some time now, but Seacat has never been called to action on the matter until recently. It’s been a slow burn of impressions, attentions, and near misses, all contributing to the gradual sense that everybody in this entire town is skipping over something about Y/N, something big.
Seacat is determined to figure out what that something is. He doesn’t know why, but he has to figure it out. He’ll never rest until he does. For now, all he can do is keep staring, keep watching, and hope for the moment in which Y/N’s tough as nails demeanor drops and Seacat finally gets to see the real person inside.
As it turns out, Seacat’s golden opportunity might come a little faster than he had hoped. Barely a few days have gone by since that conversation with Tanner before Seacat finds himself strolling down to Big Momma’s again, this time later in the afternoon. The surfers are all going to hang out here tonight, maybe have a dance or two before skipping on down to the waves.
Seacat had nothing better to do other than twiddle his thumbs, so he decided to walk over to the restaurant a little early, just because. Maybe he can help set up or something; they all owe Big Momma that much for letting the surfers and bikers crash there time after time.
It looks as if Big Momma already has a helper here, however. Seacat has barely breezed through the doors before he stops dead in his tracks. There’s another boy half hidden in the shadows of the place, wending in and out of Seacat’s line of sight as he cleans off tables and gets the place ready for the day.
It’s Y/N. What’s more, seeing as Y/N believes himself to be alone, he’s singing along to some old tune rattling out of a banged up CD player on a nearby chair. He’s got a good voice, anyone could admit that, but Seacat is so startled to hear it coming out of a boy like Y/N that he’s blown away even more.
Seacat doesn’t know how much time he spends standing there, just looking, just watching. It reminds Seacat of the sunrise on an early morning, empty beaches as far as the eye can see. No one else sees the crystal clear blue of the water, just you. No one else hears the fact that Y/N L/N might be the best singer in the entire town, just Seacat.
He could have stayed there until the end of time, he thinks, but of course no pure thing can stick around here forever. Eventually, Y/N loops casually around a table, putting him at just the right place to look up and spot Seacat standing there at the entrance. Although it’s been wonderful to listen to Y/N sing, he was only allowing himself such freedoms because he was working and supposed himself to be alone. There’s no reason he would ever continue if he knew he had an audience.
Seacat knows that in an instant, even before the boy looks up, startled, to lock eyes with him. Instantly, Y/N looks away again, speaking in a gruff voice so as to discourage any possible thought of conversation.
“Place doesn’t open for a while,” he says, “might as well head out again.”
Seacat shakes his head slightly. “I hardly want to leave now. I didn’t know you could sing so well, Y/N.”
Y/N chuckles, barely a trace of humor evident in the sound. “Didn’t think you and your friends had the chance to figure it out. You never came close enough to try.”
Seacat winces. “We were wrong for that. I can see it now.”
Surprised, Y/N glances back over at him. “You mean that?”
Seacat nods solemnly. “As much as I mean that you should sing more often. This whole town should hear you.”
Y/N arches a disbelieving brow. “Did you hit your head on that surfboard? This town doesn’t want to even see me, let alone hear me sing.”
“I want to hear you,” Seacat says quietly, “Isn’t that enough?”
“You think one person is enough to make a sort of change like that?” Y/N asks, grip lazing on the side of his broom.
“Yeah,” Seacat says, unsteady at first but gaining strength as he goes, “Yeah, I do. Say, you should have a concert right here. Maybe it could happen next week. People would come, I’ll make sure of that. You’ve got a gift, Y/N. It would be a crime to let people forget that.”
Something like a smile appears on Y/N’s face. It softens the hard lines on his countenance, turning a jagged stare bright with light.
“You really believe in this whole idea, don’t you?” Y/N comments. It doesn’t sound like such a hard no as before. In fact, it almost sounds like a yes.
Seacat just nods, and that’s all it takes for Y/N to nod back at him.
“Alright, then. If you’re so sure of yourself, let’s do this. I have to ask Big Momma though, it’s her place and she has the final say.”
He’s scarcely voiced this thought before someone instantly calls back to him from the direction of the kitchen.
“Don’t even think twice about it! We’re doing the show, no doubt about it.”
Seacat and Y/N stare at each other for a moment in the resulting silence, then start to laugh. It appears that Big Momma may have been listening in to their conversation. At least she approves of the whole idea, right?
Then again, it’s not like she would have ever said no to something like this. Y/N has been all but adopted by Big Momma for a long time. When the rest of the town turned their backs on the boy, Big Momma was the one who stood up and offered him a home. Now, Y/N has been a permanent fixture at this happy seaside eatery, so of course it makes sense that Big Momma would want to do anything to give him a better shot.
With this final benediction, Seacat is clear to get the concert in order. He organizes friends, grabs decorations, and basically does everything in his power to make sure this is going to work.
In some secret part of his mind, Seacat is terrified that it won’t. What if this town is so used to its preordained rules of right and wrong, its norms and traditions, that it refuses to let Y/N into the limelight even when he shows his capabilities?
Even now, Seacat can predict how that would go. It would crush Y/N for good, and probably take Seacat down with him for attempting something like this. At the same time, so what? Seacat has been wanting this for a while now, even if he didn’t know it would come in the form of a concert. If this is how he’s kicked to the curb, fine. At least he’d be in good company.
Seacat’s fears, however, turn out to be unfounded. Surfers and bikers alike roll up to the concert in record breaking waves, all eager to see the show. They’re earnest about their intentions, too, not a spark of scorn in sight.
As they should be, in all honesty. From the moment Y/N takes the stage and starts to sing, a hush falls upon the entire restaurant. Everyone, biker and surfer and cook alike, is silenced by the sheer force of their awe. Seacat knew Y/N was good, but that was when he wasn't even trying. This is something entirely different, something special.
The concert is over before he knows it, before it really should be in Seacat’s opinion. Y/N is immediately flooded by a rush of well wishers the second he steps off the stage, and for quite a while, the only thing Seacat can see of him is that brilliant, dazzling grin.
Eventually, Y/N manages to shake the crowd long enough to make his way over to Seacat.
“Well,” he says in his best attempt at a casual voice, “you might have been right about all this.”
Seacat grins almost as broadly as the other boy. “You mean it? You had fun up there?”
Y/N laughs. “Could you tell? I’ve never felt better. Doing all this, seeing all those people actually listen, it felt like I was living for the first time.”
“Well, I didn’t see a single person who wasn’t enjoying themselves,” Seacat says, “so clearly, your idea of living is right up there with everyone else’s. I’m glad you did this, Y/N. Really.”
“So am I,” he whispers, “but can I tell you something?”
At Seacat’s questioning nod, Y/N continues. “I didn’t just do this so I could be welcomed in by the rest of the town or whatever. I did it for you.”
Seacat’s brow furrows. “What? Why me?”
“It made sense to me,” Y/N smiles, “You were the one who was so excited about it. You haven’t seen me as a threat for quite some time, I’ve noticed that about you. Maybe I wanted to prove you were right about me. Yours is the only opinion I’d care to keep.”
Seacat looks at him, really looks at him. There’s no need to disguise his staring any more, each and every one of his glances Y/N’s way can be treasured to the utmost. “I wanted to do this for you,” he says unsteadily, “Guess it makes sense that we were each doing it for the other person.”
A shout from the other side of the restaurant; people are calling for encores, anything to get Y/N back up on that stage and singing again. The moment is stolen away again, but Y/N lingers just a little longer.
“You’d be surprised what I would do for you,” he says, and then vanishes back into the crowd, a shadow slipping away through this sea of friendly faces. Seacat stands there, breathless, and slowly, gratefully, begins to smile. He’s beginning to get an idea as to Y/N’s character, he thinks, and this time, he’s right.

Oh man, on the subject of umineko, one of the people behind the goats reading seacats blog did a (attempted) sorta shitposty reread on the first ep of Umineko in their own blog, which was both hilarious and insightful. It doesn't take long to read and can be found with the tag seacats speedread
Lmaoo, I can just imagine them describing Battler because of one of the very first things he does in the first episode, and it sounds so funny 😭

This is a fast-paced fight scene, so I’d like to take a moment to give a finer examination of what just happened on these two pages.
Tumblr media
Here we have Erika charging forward at Krauss. From the general pace of Ryukishi’s fight scenes we can easily conclude that Erika’s speed at this moment is quite high, so she would have a lot of forward momentum at this point. At this velocity, Erika would be quite difficult to stop, let alone knock back.
Tumblr media
We see here that Erika is struck by some sort of hard-hitting object and, indeed, sent flying backward. The hit star would also seem to indicate the exact point of impact, after which Erika continues traveling backward a decent ways with seemingly no sign of stopping. In other words, she has been hit quite hard, with the force of impact not only powerful enough to cease her forward momentum, but reverse it entirely. But what in the world could be strong enough to have this effect?
Tumblr media
That’s right - a bag of gold ingots. As we of the Umineko fandom of course know, a single golden ingot of this size weighs approximately 10 kilograms, or roughly 22 pounds. Here we see at least three ingots, meaning whoever threw this bag is capable of hurling at least 30 kilograms with incredible force and speed.
Tumblr media
However, closer examination would reveal there to be at least four ingots in this bag...if not more, as they are spilling out, and we cannot be certain that more spilled out off-panel that we simply cannot see. Certainly one could imagine there would be enough room, given the size of this bag, for at least six ingots, or perhaps even as many as eight.
Additionally, we see that Erika has now lost her momentum and fallen to the ground - yet her body is still a reasonable distance beyond the point at which the bag of ingots collided with the ground, and has seemingly bounced back up and continues to fly through the air. In another moment, that bag would almost certainly collide with Erika once more, having been thrown with enough force to keep it moving even after touching the ground once. In short, Erika has been knocked farther and faster than the gold itself, which is understandable given the significant weight of the ingots.
Tumblr media
Lastly, we see now the perpetrator of this award-winning throw to be none other than Ushiromiya Rosa. For her to have been capable of hurling a bag of 4+ ingots weighing approximately 10 kilograms each, a collective 40 kilograms/88 pounds - if not more - and to have thrown them hard enough, and fast enough, to break Erika’s forward momentum and knock her clear into the distance, I believe we can draw only one conclusion.
Tumblr media
In death, and through repentance of her sins, Ushiromiya Rosa has become THE strongest and most powerful seacat of all, quite possibly enough to rival even Featherine Augustus Aurora, AKA The High Witch of Theatre, Drama and Spectating, AKA The Ultimate Great Evil and Final Boss of the Ryukishiverse. And if you don’t think that’s the tightest shit you can get the fuck out of my face.
Oh, and the kicker?
Tumblr media
She was holding back.
Tumblr media
Thank you for listening.

Tripper Hunt has Landed!
Hello Tripper!
Tripper(T): “Hello!”
How are you doing?
T: “Pretty good, just talking with a disinbodied voice I guess… Just had lunch.”
Where are you right now?
T: “I’m on the Seacat, our boat. I guess its also kind of my house too? I mean I’ve been living on it for a year now.”
So, I have a few questions to get to know you better.
T: “Sure”
This one is a little bland, they get more intriguing as we go along. Its an icebreaker of sorts: What would your perfect room look like?
T: “Oh, well, I hate to be bland in return but pretty much what I already have. My room is just stocked full of trinkets and doodads. Little things I found on the ocean floor, floating around, on enemies, and in island markets. There is a map of Home over my headboard with a string that shows where we’ve gone. I love this one painting I bought in a town near the Wood, it shows a cherry treedweller in a beautiful robe sashaying her way through a grove.  It’s all I dreamed of when I imagined the room I’d have.”
This one is a bit more intense, What would you do if you knew you were going to die in one hour?
T: “Oooph, I’ve had the dying thoughts before. When you get stabbed there is a surprising amount of thinking time before you black out.  That time, well it was when my crew had been kidnapped. I was completely irrational. Insane really. I got struck down and as I bled I just couldn’t stop thinking about how inline this was, dying alone. How I would go easy if only there was someone with me. Then there was suddenly Scral with me. So yeah, I’d just be with my family. We’d snuggle on some hill somewhere and I’d just drift away to Elnos.”
Sounds peaceful. If you could make a 20 second phone call to yourself at any point in your life present or future, when would you call and what would you say?
T: ‘I know this one, absolutely right after my parents left for the second time, just “It’ll be fine”. I really needed that from someone in some form. Nobody but us knew and my sis was too heartbroken to offer that to me.“
One last one; In your group of friends, what role do you play?
T: "Ah, we have ascended in tone.”
So we have.
T: “People who look in the papers would probably assume I am the leader, the brave pioneer who brings my crew through storms of every form. My crew would laugh their tails off. Not that I am a coward or anything but I certainly am not the infallible savior most seem to think. Until I got trained by the raindwellers I was absolutely clueless in battle. My sis shouldered most of the adult responsibilities back on Earth so I am kind of useless with ledger keeping and a lot of the other skills needed for life by sail. Cirrus once said this and I think is the right answer for this question, “You’re not the spear, you’re the string that holds us together.”
Who’s the spear you think?
T: "I think it would fit all three of them, a three tipped spear, huh. I need to draw that! That might make a good flag!”
*Tripper dashes off*
…I guess that’s the end of the questions

Thank you for not leaving me alone in this weird headcanon/belief in an aus plausibility thing. Thank. In the dream, when Tomoko started remembering things that she was not supposed to remember and Suzie found out (earlier than in canon, I think? Not sure, dreams get blurry. I think it somehow did earlier than canon and canon timing at once. >.>), she was actually incredibly relieved instead of spewing molten rage. Well, probably still ticked at Joseph, but also relieved. - cont.
cont. - (and that's how Josuke ended up with another parental figure interested in his life, rest in pieces you poor pompdour'd bastard.)
(to clarify, I have no idea whether Suzie was relieved that Caesar's soul hadn't just vanished into the abyss or something, or if Tomoko having been Caesar in a previous life removed some of the impact of Joseph cheating on her. I just got a general feeling of 'oh thank fuck'.)
Don’t even worry my dude, I have done much, much weirder AUs. IT’S JOJO AFTER ALL~
I imagine Suz might feel a mixture of both? Still probably gonna make Joseph sleep on the couch for half a year, but knowing that Caesar didn’t just up and leave (at least completely) must be an extremely comforting thought--both in that he isn’t gone, and that dying isn’t The End. And especially seeing as how this is something they’d discover in their later years, it must be a complete watershed moment.
Of course, I’m sure Tomoko would be extremely confused as well--perhaps even having a bit of an existential crisis? Like how much of her is her and how much of her is Caesar. I’m sure it must be a bit of a Tohya-Battler moment, you feel? (I CANT LET THE SEACATS DIE--)
Anyway I really like this concept, THERE’S A LOT OF PLACES IT COULD GO.
