Personal Sagau Intro

IMPORTANT NOTE: Much of this can be subject to change!!! I don’t really have this whole thing entirely planned out, so this is not a guarantee of what the series will be. This is written as of 10/24/22, and I have not started the first chapter yet. This intro drabble will not be updated, but I will instead make a new one if the changes are major.

I really need a better title for this series. It’s just... so bland. Anyway, this fic is extremely self indulgent, and not quite an x reader, although the player/owner of the account will be referred to as “you.” The reader is entirely based on my experience in the game, as this is based on my account. I will be changing a FEW things to make it more interesting, and also because it would be boring for me to just write everything that I’ve done in game. There will be no romance in the series since I have no plans of the reader/player actually descending to Teyvat as of now. This series is also COMPLETELY SFW with the occasional gore/violence, which will be tagged and warned about accordingly.

Quick side note: This will probably be poetic interludes from the perspective of a specific character. I don’t know if this is exactly what I’ll be doing, but let me know if you’re interested!

About the world: In this SAGAU, the characters worship the Creator as usual, with the player/reader not knowing about it. The characters are also aware they are somehow “chosen” to be vessels, with a heavenly meteor shower of gold/purple flying above them when chosen. POV will switch between controlled characters (kind of???) and the player/reader. The reader is completely gender-ambiguous and uses they/them pronouns. 

About the reader/creator/player: Just an average genshin enjoyer whose POV will not include major aspects from things not related to them playing genshin. They have no idea about the SAGAU concept, and sometimes simply talk to the characters for the fun of it (little do they know, their beloved characters can hear some of it). Their age is also ambiguous, but is from the age of 16-20.

About the characters: I will mostly be talking about the characters I have or understand the personality of well enough. Who these characters are? Here are some short drabbles about the main characters: 

NOTE: Some of these constellations are purposely inaccurate to what I have, so please tell me if I get some of their buffs from constellations wrong, since I don’t have any experience using them (same applies to characters I have more constellations of, and included a higher constellation feature then the one I stated they are.)

Jean (C0): The first five star you get, coming home at early pity on someone else’s banner (you’ll find out who soon ;) ). She is decently built, mostly as a healer and sub DPS. She used to be a fine main DPS, before being fazed out and replaced, only to be used as a slight buffer/healer in the spiral abyss. She holds a slight grudge against her successor, but she shoves the insecurities down into the depths of her heart. She could never be made at you, her beloved creator! She understands her place and tries to excel at what she does and in her assigned role.

Zhongli (C0): The second five star, coming home at soft pity on his banner. He is very poorly built and is only used for his shield and burst. He is completely dedicated to serving his role in the party, and takes it as a personal challenge to do his best with his bare-bones equipment. He feels as though you don’t build him better because you feel as if he can succeed without the extra help. Very proud, and often bores his fellow party members with his lengthy anecdotes, constant talk of osmantus wine, and occasional boasting about Their Grace’s confidence in his abilities without divine assistance.

Diluc (C1): Very well built, with his many five-star artifacts and R5 archaic. He feels blessed about coming home on both the standard and limited time banner of another (you certainly don’t feel that way). Although he is somber that he is no longer in parties as much, he feels a sense of relief that you still occasionally use him, and haven’t recycled his artifacts. Usually a main or sub DPS. He cares deeply about his fellow party members (which he can sometimes feel resentment towards because they are used more), except when a certain Calvary Captain is used. To his dismay, his damage is much lower, but still feels the need to surpass his “brother.” Do you pair them on teams together as a punishment, or because you truly want them to reconnect?

In NA it was..... Mona.....;;;; I lost 50/50 on Zhongli's banner but THAT'S OK I got him later ehehe a funny thing is that I also got her when pulling for him in asia and also Raiden so for a while I was just like "wow I'm cursed" //silly

In Asia it was C1 Hu Tao yup. Not only did I win 50/50 but I got a double on the same pull and that day I decided to be a Hu Tao main ehehe

Liyue definitely. Bias aside for some reason it just captured me since the start. I don't personally connect with any of the cultures so far;;; and I never even knew much about China/Chinese culture tbh (no offense or anything, just more typical anime/japanese oriented media for me Ig) but genshin just kinda opened me to it, it's insane all the little meanings and nods I see ppl doing analyses about in clothes, food, customs, places, names, etc etc.

There is just something about those falling leaves in the rocky path at Chihu rock or the beautiful architecture of Feiyun Slope with the red pilars, walkpaths and staircases, the lanterns, the little grass areas and water with lotuses.... I just dunno man seems all so gorgeous for me yet warm, full of life.

Ouuuhhh though question I think the combat style the ability to switch characters on a second and make elemental reactions and combos offering infinite possibilities for team and strategy combinations. Man's english voice is what got me into genshin in the first place but his jpn voice is also so hhhhhhh ALL OF THEM TBH as for other characters.... I really really like Yanfei's and Hu Tao's english voices, also Ganyu, Faruzan, Alhaitham, Neuvillette, and Childe as for the japanese ones, Ei, Kazuha and Ningguang are definitely the best imo

You know what I want (that I don’t think has been done but please correct me if it has)–

Genshin Impact, but School– like a Twisted Wonderland AU sort of school thing.

Now, I’ve not played TW (*cries in EU*) but from what I know I don’t think it would actually affect potential story stuff too much; it’d be a relatively clean merger. I’m literally more just thinking in terms of: the elements or countries are different houses, the Archons are their respective Head of House and MC/Reader has been Isekai’d here via wishing means despite lacking a vision (means of enrolment?).

Now just some random brainstorming thoughts because the idea consumed me–:

As a general thing, either GI is already a TW sort of game in MC’s world or it’s not changed from how it already is and this is just an alternate world to the one MC and we know and remember. Maybe they play both games and this world is a weird merger of the two (not that MC is imagining this or has any influence over it; it’s just a weird coincidence, but that would probably muddy the waters so likely not)?

Because of Zhongli being a hidden/retired Archon I could see the dorm being more so run democratically, maybe having Ningguang being voted/recommended for the position by her fellow classmates while Zhongli chills out (read: slacks off) in the local gardens (boi still probably gets straight A’s in everything except Business & Personal Finance/Economics).

In regards to the Fatui and how they’d fit into this… I think it’d depend on how the Houses are set up. If the Houses were represented via Country then they could just be fellow students, but aged down where appropriate. If the Houses were represented via Element then I’d be tempted to make them teachers, or students from a rival school. The problem with the Element option is the Tsaritsa; I wouldn’t know how to keep their connection with her while keeping her as the Head of House. Something to think about maybe.

Aether and Lumine could be transfer students? Or just not in the story at all? Or maybe from a different school? Up for debate; depends on how much you’d want them there I guess so it’d be up to the writer. Paimon could literally just take Grim’s spot regardless lol, but again that’d be up to the writer.

Acts/Chapters wouldn’t change much, both games are similar in that each Chapter and Act is set in or revolves around a different Country/House (to my limited understanding of TW at least). So A/C1 (not constellations) is to do with Mondstadt, A/C2 is Liyue and so on and so forth. How you’d transfer the actual story to this world’s format though is… ehhhhhhhh—

- For Mondstadt, the idea of Dvalin being a little chibi version of himself is too adorable to pass up and so maybe the stuff with him still happens, being corrupted and saving him before he goes on a massive rampage (either the stuff with the Abyss/Khaenri’ah isn’t a thing here, or it’s one of two options: 1. Rival school that dabbles in the “darkness” element or 2. Is the old school that the current school was built on top of (what the story would be here though I don’t know; I’d need to brush up/know more about the lore)) and by the end he continues to be a sort of cute familiar to Venti that occasionally makes an appearance. Should note that he’s still normal sized/a big boi when corrupted, but after MC frees him he takes on a smaller and more approachable form (please don’t ask me how that works in this world, I don’t know—)

- Liyue would be… not too different from the original? Actually, maybe this is how Ningguang becomes the new Head of House? The whole of Act 2 was orchestrated by Zhongli wanting to see if Liyue could continue without him in canon, so maybe this is the same? Maybe the identity of this Head of House is a secret that only other HoH know about (as well as Childe; he and Zhongli are maybe surprisingly good friends and so the latter gets Childe to help him “step down”). So they do something really stupid and summon Osial— which could be an obnoxious rival of Zhongli’s from another school that’s come to ruin the House’s reputation or something, or is straight up some sea monster they’ve summoned to up that stakes. I kinda like the first idea, especially if you did a twist of him owing Zhongli for whatever reason so he’s only here to help in order to remove Zhongli from his long-standing position (I’m thinking just keep the fact that Zhongli is actually a dragon a thing and that he’s only still here because he can be, likely because of ageing differences or because despite him being a great student he deliberately flunks the important exams to get held back; fully up for debate though)

- For Inazuma… I don’t know dude, it’s just a dictatorship? Maybe something happened with Makoto and she either left or sadly passed and Ei has no idea how to run her House so just straight up takes full control of it in a negative way? And MC shows her the power of friendship or something— I don’t know, I really don’t know. All I do know is that Yae Miko would be a menace; personal space? What’s that, she’s never heard of it. Girl be overtly flirting with MC every step of the way regardless of gender; fingertips trailing across their shoulders as she circles behind them, tipping their head back with a gentle pressure against their skin, leaning way too close to their ears and space as she talks to them… yeah, other students would not be too happy about that (tbh Yae got me bad lol; not my favourite character, but she’s fun and I’d definitely give her the waifu title– anyway!)

Is it too late to mention this is intended to be a “romance game”?

And considering my love of yandere’s— fuck it, throw a load of them in here too if you want; take your pick.

- Sumeru— I don’t know, going through these is kinda exhausting. All I will say is that this is the tech House and that Dottore has to be involved with whatever happens here. Maybe it’s still an experiment he’s running and has roped the kids into (if he’s a teacher, though I doubt it’d be much different if it was a student either) or something else, but he has to be there. My bias for him is really showing lol, but he has to be; he needs to be the villain of this Act/Chapter. Plus it’d be kinda funny to see him the next time MC went to class and have them freak out as to why he’s still here when he should probably be in jail (man totally either has some sort of dirt on the headmaster (Heavenly Principles?) to keep him in the school or he’s kept as a teacher to better monitor him and his movements).

Naturally we can’t talk about Fontaine at the moment, so I won’t go into it (—except for the fact that I am weak for Neuvillette; what is it with tall, sophisticated dragon (alleged/theorised) men that completely knock me off my feet 😭 urg, I want him and Zhongli to passively-aggressively battle for the right to court me, is that too much for a girl to ask??)

Anyway, I don’t think there’s anything else I want to add right now. Just throwing thoughts out into the aether, so to speak--

Writing this out for myself. 

Tomorrow, I will finally get Yaoyao. I’ll need to grind her cube drops for the next few days (it needs Dendro, so I’m waiting for her to do it), but I’m only taking her to 80/80 for now, so it should be possible to finish that using next week’s battle pass mission for 10 bosses. With the event rewards, I should also have enough books to take her talents to 2/8/8. She’ll be working on Keqing Aggravate, hopefully. 

Then for the rest of the week, I’ll do exp book leyline, since I’m going to be dipping into my Mika books for Yaoyao, and I also have a bunch of other characters I want to take 70 > 80 later. 

For the rest of the patch, I need to focus on grinding for Mika and the 3.5 event claymore. Mika needs 27 more wenut drops and a lot of ballad books. (Bonus: I’m probably going to get enough Anemo drops to max ascend Heizou, my last sub-80/90 Anemo, from all this.) I’m going to hold off on the books until the end of patch overflow event, since Mond book domains is...... eh. It needs a different team than what I use for normal dailies and grinding, so it’s a hassle. I should be able to grind out everything he needs in one week if I focus on it specifically, and the 3.5 events will also help fill out anything I’m missing. 

The claymore needs more consecrated beast shells, chains, and weapon ore. The chains aren’t too big a deal, I’ll probably do them on Sundays over the patch, and I should hopefully be able to get the shells during exploration and with the scorpion at Yashiori + bird close to Old Varanara. 

For artifacts, Yaoyao should be okay with a 4pc Tenacity I’ll half take from Dori and half originally intended for Kuki non-Bloom set. Some of her specific pieces will depend on how she performs though, especially her healing and energy needs. I don’t plan to have her burst every rotation with Keqing, so it should be easier to manage. 

For Mika, he’ll use Candace’s Noblesse, though I need to check if any of the pieces need to be switched. He’ll be taking Zhongli’s Fav Lance, so he’ll need more crit than Candace has. 

Yaoyao will use either Kitain or Moonpiercer. Moonpiercer isn’t levelled, but her personal damage is going to be negligible right now either way, so it’s just for the atk buff effect. 

I need to level some more stuff, but I’ll just... put artifacts on hold for a while. It’s too depressing. 

For pulling, this patch is a skip, which is boring, but I’m at 65 rolls on both character and weapon, haha.... It’s too risky to roll even once more. I’ll have enough for Eula for sure, at least, though it’ll be tough getting Mika. Might need to risk C1 Eula... I’m pretty sure they’ll be on the same banner, at least, though we don’t know which half or who will run with them. My guess would be Dehya on first half and Eula on second half, I don’t think they’ll be together. The leaks also suggest Cyno will be rerunning, but the last open slot is being heavily contested between Shenhe and various other Mond characters. It’s fine as long as it’s not Klee, which would be really hard for me to swing. 

If I had to choose which C1 to risk... man, it’s hard to say, they’re all bad to pointless. Venti’s is useless, and while his C2 shreds Anemo, it’s not like... super useful in the taser and occasional freeze teams I use him on. Albedo’s C1 is useless, and his C2 theoretically adds DEF scaling to his burst, which is nice, but it’s pretty limited. Eula C1 is the most generically useable, since it increases her Phys DMG after hold skill following a tap skill (so, right before her burst). I’ve heard it’s not particularly powerful, but at least it’s something. 

I do need the starglitter from pulls though, since I want to buy Amber and Razor in April (68 starglitter total), Lisa in May (34 starglitter), and Kaeya in June (34 starglitter). Lisa is the most skippable purchase, but it’s still 102 starglitter, when we only get 2 every ten pulls or so. At this point, it’s almost useful to get C6′d 4 stars, since that’s a whole 5 starglitter. 

Jokes aside, the 4 stars longest without rerun are Fischl (9), Diona (9), Sucrose (8), Chongyun (12), Kuki (7), Collei (9), Dori (8), Candace (7). I have Fischl and Diona at C6, but Chongyun is C5, Sucrose is C3, and the rest are even lower. Given that I do want the starglitter, I don’t have any super strong preferences on the rate up 4 stars, though Kuki or Sucrose cons would be the nicest, and I guess I did want Candace cons too. 

Post 3.5, it’ll be Baizhu and maaaybe Kaveh. I want to get some Dendro man, but I’m waiting to see what their kits are. Kaveh might be a 4 star, it’s hard to say. I’m really hoping Baizhu is something that doesn’t care for Nahida, though a healer would be really nice. The other thing I’m considering is getting Nilou, as long as one of the Dendro men can run in her team instead of Nahida. But since Cyno is (probably) rerunning, Nilou might be in 3.6 with the theorized Baizhu launch and Nahida rerun. Which... would be really hard to manage.

(I also considered planning for Ayaka, since her costume solves basically all my issues with her design, but I ultimately decided against it, just because there’s already so much I want. Freeze team would be nice, but it’s not priority enough, compared to other stuff.) 

But this is getting into really unsubstantiated speculation, so it’ll likely get changed a lot once we’re in 3.5 and the 3.6 beta.

Builds. Buildybuildbuilds. F2P challenge account edition, and the first real run of these. I have some characters not ready to show off yet on this account, and my main account will get a dose of stat boxes when I feel like playing in Photoshop again.

Zhongli is my main, running as physical carry with a crit ratio finally hitting the good stuff because man, it’s hard to get there with a non-crit weapon. He’s a lucky duck with an on-set goblet, so that gives him one heck of a nice Bolide mask. I may flat-swap Staff of Homa for his weapon once I have it, but I may also change his build to geo/burst meta at that point.

Chongyun is my old main and poor baby is still C0, but triple-crowned like the popsicle god he is. He’s still in use, heavily so when it’s Spiral Abyss time. His freezie-pops team (Kaeya, Xingqui, and Barbruh) is also the most likely to do weekly bounties unless they’re immune to cryo/hydro.

Dendro Traveler runs a physical build and has the same issue Zhongli does lol, aka no crit on his weapon but he’s rockin’ the cursed sword which I find more consistent in damage than the Rancour, especially as his typical team comp does its rotations frequently. Substats are still an issue but that will improve with more smashings of Pale Flame and Bloodstained domains (I have run so much Pale Flame on this account it’s insane). Traveler is currently the carry in my everyday team, with triple-crowned Albedo as sub-dps (honestly he’s probably the real dps lmao), and my superconduct providers are Aloy (high ER Noblesse burst build) and Kuki (meta Tenacity healer build).

And if you’re thinking this can’t possibly be an f2p account... it’s called playing for about a year, logging in every day for dailies/weeklies and spending resin without letting it hit cap, and doing all content/events and abyss every reset where I’m getting 30 stars now. I’ve only pulled for Zhongli (C4) and Albedo (C0) with primogems and limited fates, and I will have enough primos to pull for Staff of Homa with a 100% guarantee of getting a copy by the time that banner runs. I’ve gotten Diluc (C1) and Jean (C0) from losing the 50/50 on Zhongli’s banners. I only use blue fates on Standard banner and so far it’s given me two 5-stars: Wolf’s Gravestone (Chongyun will not let that thing go) and Lost Prayer (happy Yanfei is happy). Save your primos, kids, there’s no such thing as “building pity” on the wrong limited banner.

My biggest flex is that I’ve won 3(4?) 50/50s and only lost one 😋

I got albedo, and then c1 xiao(2 xiaos in one 10 pull👀), lost 50/50 to Jean on Zhongli’s banner, got venti with guaranteed and then won 50/50 on kazuha ☺️☺️

another big flex is that I pulled 2 xiaos and Jean back to back 😚, not on the same banner, but I didn’t wish at all after getting my xiao until it came to Zhongli’s banner and I was like “ok, I’ll do one ten pull”… and got Jean😭I wish I got diluc >:((

yoimiya guide part 2! (beginner/casual friendly!

Yoimiya has 3 main teams; Vaporize, overvape, and mono-pyro. I'll be explaining how to play and build her in each of these 3 ways. Today i'll be talking about overvape but first, I need to explain what it actually is.

˗ˏˋwhat is overvape? ´ˎ˗

When an enemy is electro-charged, they have both a hydro and electro aura. When you apply pyro to them, you trigger both a vaporize from the hydro and an overload from the electro

Yoimiya is one of the few characters who can actually play overvape well. Playing her in it allows her to both increase her own damage with vaporize while also getting some extra damage from overloaded.

Overvape has more damage from your other characters but by possible removing a buffer from the team, Yoimiya may lose out on a bit of personal damage. If you like seeing lots of super colorful numbers on the screen and want to play a simple but fun team, I highly recommend overvape!!

˗ˏˋteam compositions ´ˎ˗

Overvape requires at least 1 hydro character and at least 1 electro character. The final slot can vary with your needs

First off, hydro characters

: ̗̀➛ Xingqiu provides both interruption resist (very important, esp w/o a shield!) and a bit of healing along with his hydro application

: ̗̀➛ Yelan provides no defensive utility or interruption resist but she has strong personal damage and a DMG buff to Yoimiya along with her hydro application

Electro options

: ̗̀➛ Beidou has awesome personal damage and applies electro on normal attacks, perfect for Yoimiya. She also grants DMG reduction, interruption resist, and even a small shield at C1! Beidou's main drawback is that she may struggle to get enough energy when not run with a second electro. I have personally not experienced this but in my team, I have two characters on Favonius weapons (including her)

: ̗̀➛ Fischl also has great personal damage but she doesn't apply enough electro to consistently electro-charge the enemies. However, she can be a great choice to play with Beidou because she helps provide a lot of energy and a lot of her own damage

Final slot options!

: ̗̀➛ Bennet provides and insane attack buff along with good healing. He is really great in overvape because a lot of the characters used in it such as Beidou and Xingqiu can benefit a ton from his buff

: ̗̀➛ Zhongli provides a very strong shield which keeps Yoimiya from getting interrupted. However, you miss out on a lot of team damage since his base kit doesn't provide many buffs.

: ̗̀➛ Yun Jin is an awesome buffer for Yoimiya but in this team, her buffs are only needed for Yoimiya. She is still a good choice but choosing a support like Bennet who buffs all your team members might be better to have

Next up, artifacts!

4pc Shimenawa's is usually her go-to set but if you play overvape with ATK scaling supports, 4PC Crimson Witch of Flames can end up a bit better. This is because her teammates can benefit a bit from the ATK bonus her burst provides. Honestly I wouldn't recommend farming CWOF just for overvape Yoimiya because Shimenawa's is still great in this team and is much better to farm

Sands : ̗̀➛ Elemental Mastery > Attack

Goblet : ̗̀➛ Pyro DMG Bonus

Circlet : ̗̀➛ Crit rate/damage

Moving on to weapons! Rankings are the same for overvape and vaporize

Her two best options are Thundering Pulse followed by R5 Rust (4 star!!)

Aqua Simulacra and Polar star are also good choices if you have them, followed by R5 slingshot (3 star!!)

Other than that, you can play Skyward Harp and even Amos' bow but these are both worse and slingshot

Finally, let's talk about how to actually play this team!

: ̗̀➛ If you play Beidou + Bennet, use Yelan/Xingqiu burst before Bennet's and always use Beidou after.

: ̗̀➛ Set up all your other bursts before swapping to Yoimiya

: ̗̀➛ Overvape has pretty high energy needs so always skill and then immediately burst. This allows you to use the burst animation time to catch the particles from your skill. This advice goes for literally any team, even if the energy needs aren't as high

: ̗̀➛ If you use Xingqiu/Yelans' burst first thing, try weaving in a few normal attacks as you cycle through your other characters for a bit more damage

Furina is here!

Furina is the first archon I've ever pulled during her first release. Back with Zhongli and Raiden, I got them both on their rerun banner. My first thought on pulling for the hydro archon was because I wanted to pair her with Neuvillette. Way before her official release, I heard from here and there that she was gonna have a buffer kit. So to help boost Neuvillette's damage, I planned on getting her.

And the day finally came! Furina banner was released yesterday and I pulled her during my livestream.

I wasn't confident I'd win my 50:50 cuz I've won 4 50:50 before and no way I'd win my fifth one. But I did! :D Though she came home at high pity but at least she came.

And then I made some more pulls cuz everyone said her C1 improves her QoL which adds more points to her Fanfare stack so you can get higher buff. One look at the weapon banner and I knew now is not the time to pull for it. I'd wait for a better pair because I already have Jade Splendor (Baizhu's signature) and I won't risk it to get another copy of that matcha donut. I spent the remaining of my primogems on Furina's banner to get her C1 or even C2.

This is my second time getting 2 five stars in the same 10 pull since my last one with Kazuha last year. The entire pulls cost me 31k+ primos and I'm pretty happy with it! I have yet to test her buff damage but at level 6 she can easily double Neuvillette's damage. So I'm excited to see what she brings to the table once she's maxed out!

All in all, this banner has been one hell of a fun ride hahah. I'm planning to get Nahida after this, so back to saving primos I guess!

^as you can see, i was WEAK and pulled for alhaitham lol. i really like his design and i’m just starting to get into dendro, so it was just too tempting...i’m also primarily a traveler main so when it’s time for Fontaine, i’ll have lost my main dendro character. the only other one i’ve got is collei who’s ok but she’s not built at all.

i think I got alhaitham in like 60 wishes! which isn’t terrible I feel. i also got a few cons for xiangling (still don’t like her that much but she’s so useful it’s hard not to use her). 2 yaoyaos (there’s another dendro unit!), 1 heizou (I actually wasn’t going to pull at all bc i didn’t want yaoyao that much or heizou but i actually tried him out and his playstyle is just fun so i actually did want him), and 1 razor con (good fluffy boy...i do want to try him out one day but i have too many electro units). also I got lucky with a few double 4*s per pull and got some weapons.

including the favonius codex in the same pull as alhaitham! what luck haha. that’s my first fav codex actually so i was really happy. i don’t have many 4* catalysts or polearms. 

now, actually building this man is going to be TOUGH. I just finished Inazuma not long ago and haven’t started Sumeru archon quest yet nor explored much of it. on the upside, I FINALLY am getting the mats for Wanderer. i probably won’t make an abyss team for him since i only have a C1 Faruzan and idk if i’ll be able to get zhongli, BUT i still love him for exploration. especially sumeru. oh god i have no idea how i’d navigate that region without him.

anyways, i also finally went though all the basic spiral abyss levels (how many floors is it? 8? 9?) which weren’t that hard now that i have some built units. still lack 2 fully built teams though. synergy on the second team is also a little iffy.

i’m also finally at the stage where it’s time to grind for artifacts...or even just get a decent selection of 5* artifacts, never mind super good ones.

3.6 is about done, so here are the end results: 

On my main, I went from 20 pity to 65 pity to get C0 Kaveh. I have 240 rolls left, plus about 6K primos. Nothing notable, though I did manage to finish book farming and getting everyone to x/8/8 talents. 

My goal is both Eula and Klee in 3.8, after which I’ll really only be looking for new Mondstadt characters, Gorou cons, and maybe some weapons. I guess I might consider C2 Albedo at a stretch. Other Mondstadt 5 star cons are, how to say, not really appealing to me. 

On my alt... oh boy. 

I decided to see how close I could get to C2 Baizhu. There’s no specific reason except that saving is boring, I need a stock of stardust, and I think it’s very funny that he starts proccing his skill from off-field. I keep forgetting to switch to him, so hey, it would be convenient. 

Anyway, I’m going to pass on Alhaitham in 3.7, and 3.8 probably won’t have any men, so why not. 

I got: 

Diluc (good) at 76 rolls

Baizhu C0 at 78 rolls

Jean (useless) at 76 rolls

Baizhu C1 at 5 rolls

Keqing (useless) at 77 rolls. 

currently at 13 rolls into a guarantee

C4 Kaveh

C2 Candace

Unrelated: Standard banner Qiqi (very good) 

And. 12. Goddamn. Copies. Of. Fischl. 

4.0 is being sus leaked to have Childe, so that will be my next goal. With a bow, I will be unstoppable. (He’ll be largely useless otherwise, so he’s gonna get a Noblesse+Fav support build lmao)

Conveniently, my rolling priority now is Childe (bow) > Zhongli (survivability if needed, can phys dps, spare me from geo traveler) > Ayato (super flexible combat option) > Xiao (cute, anemo option, cool skill) > Itto (cow) > Thoma (burgeon) > Alhaitham (skill teleport I guess)

(if anyone wonders why Qiqi and Xiao are on the lists, it’s because I made a special exception for Qiqi as Baizhu’s ward. It wouldn’t be fair to separate them! I need a second healer And then I thought that we might as well bring Xiao too, though it’s largely because I ended up never really using him on my main and I want to.) 

Thoma had been way higher before this patch, but I have Diluc for most pyro related things, and I remember from my main how hard it is to use Thoma’s shield and how bad his energy needs get at C0. He’s also a 4 star, so getting him at all might become an entire fiasco, to say nothing of cons. And of course, doing the pyro cube without Ayato is just not happening. 

Alhaitham, Itto and Xiao are all in roughly the same category of having little to their kit aside from on field DPSing, which is not really useful since they also really want specific supports that my alt won’t have. Alhaitham ranks lower than the other two because I already have two dendro men, Kaveh can do a knockoff version of the same DPS role, and his boss is super annoying to fight. 

3.7 has been remarked by everyone as looking super dry, but I will now have so much to farm on my alt... Kaveh artifacts, Kaveh Fav weapon mats, Qiqi artifacts, both their boss mats to max ascend... maybe even talent books if I’m feeling spicy, since they don’t use Mond book hell and Qiqi even uses Andrius, an accessible weekly boss.
