Looong ago, I found your comic back when it was somewhere around page 23. And then, I sadly lost the link and couldn't remember the name. I'd remember it off and on and wonder what happened to that cute little innkeeper and the time monster that broke in... It's been ten years, and from sheer luck I have stumbled across it again and managed to catch up!

This isn't so much an ask as a "yay! I'm glad I found you again!" Even if the comic is currently on pause, I look forward to the next update. Cheers!

I know from experience that things can seem pretty bleak when it comes to an anime's future and I know a lot of fans, including myself have been worried for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale's anime since it ended last month with no word on renewing it for more seasons... but I still have hope it'll be back someday to finish it's story.

The secret behind my hope is this year itself, considering how so many other anime series have returned to continue telling their stories.

Plus other animes have already confirmed their return for next year in 2024!

They are proof that any anime can return! For some they've only been on a break for a year, while for others it's been much, Much, MUCH longer! Anyway as always my message for SAFT fans is Have Faith and Keep Hope Alive!

Honestly I'm not the kind of person who would dwell on an anime's future (anymore at least), but Sugar Apple Fairy Tale is the one and ONLY exception to that rule.

the online aesthetification of shit never ceases to boggle me. no picture can exist without being light academia. dark academia. cottagecore. that place existed for so long and i promise you it's just a street in a commercial part of the city. this is a place where you buy a bit of everything. down the street you can buy fresh fish and vegetables and, since the gentrification, fancy ass preserves.

This was where I had to stop the Lincoln episode at the end of my commute, and as I pulled into the parking lot I said to myself, "Wow, that's lovely." A little schmaltzy, perhaps, but I think it gets to the core of why people study history. Sure, there's the intellectual impulse to analyze and understand events with the benefit of hindsight, but deep down, the heart of historical study is a desire to connect with people. To bridge the gulf of time and space and get to know people despite the fact that they lived in a completely different century.

History's not just dry lists of dates and names and theories. It's people. It's personalities. It's quirks and memories and stories. It's knowing that a historical figure isn't just a face on a monument, or a source of information, but a guy who can tell really funny stories. And I wanted to share this quote because it really understands the humanity of history in a way I rarely see expressed.
