None of them actually have their huntsman licenses. They're just so good at their job nobody really questions them LOL

Meet Eclipse Dusk, a name they gave themself because well… they’re not creative with names ok give them credit-

They’re based off of both Artemis and Apollo! Yes I’m a sucker for the sun/moon theme, don’t judge- they’re semblance is being able to summon animals (I’ll eventually draw it out-) kinda like Sun or I guess like Vixen from the JLxRWBY movie-

They’re a deer faunus, and I like to think they’re hair changes white when it nears winter :)

his name is denny herson and his allegory is the boy who cried wolf! he’s a shepherd dog faunus <3

his weapon is called “trust” (lmao) and it’s a shepherd’s staff on one end and a shepherd’s sling on the other. there is also a shepherd’s staff on his emblem i am not subtle about the allegory

his semblance! it’s called “verity” and it makes it so whoever hears him believes anything he says, but only once. if he tries to say the same thing twice, people will think he’s lying, even if he’s telling the truth. tricky!

he has a major shepherd motif and a minor sheep motif, and ironically enough no dog or wolf motif, despite actually being a dog. love that for him <3

It's a Persona style school sim with dating sim elements and hints of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

I'd come at it from a plot divorced from canon so there's no worry about contradicting canon. The worldbuilding in the game can be canon but the story is 100% not-canon.

RWBY fans tend to have a hard time understanding that a story can be non-canon while the world details are canon but we're moving ahead regardless.

You're a late registrant.

Glynda or maybe a canonical professor we haven't seen onscreen encounters you somewhere.

You have a pretty good semblance.

[One of 3-4 premade ones that you select from when making your character.]

They take you to Beacon but since it's like the middle of the school year you don't have a team.

You attend classes and whenever one of the teams at Beacon is going on a mission - they tack you on as a fifth.

"CFVY is going out today? You're with them. RWBY tomorrow? You're with them."

Or we can come at it from a angle that doesn't break established rules: They design three game original characters and your avatar character becomes leader of that team.

Either way, from that point on you engage in daily school life. Attend classes and do combat training to raise you and your teams' stats.

The combat system is turn based to emphasize the teamwork aspect of the RWBY series. It can be traditional four characters to a party. We're going to go back to RWBY's Final Fantasy inspiration and have dust act as materia.

No aura shields because I don't know how I'd balance that out but instead aura is your MP to use your semblance and special attacks. We're stealing All-Out attacks from Persona. When you knock an enemy down you get the option to perform a 4-Person team attack for more damage but a higher chance of missing or a two person attack with less damage but higher accuracy.

OR

We could go the Fire Emblem route so the player gets to also control their favorite characters from the show. In this battle system, team attacks are performed by having two compatible units standing next to each other on the map and selecting the attack. Only specific compatible units have team attacks to cut down on the amount of work. We're not going to make a team attack animation for every single combination in the game.

Dust would still be used like materia in this gameplay type. There's no permanent death unless you select that difficulty because permanent death is stupid. Permadeath doesn't make games harder - it makes the more annoying to play.

Plot? I have one in mind but it isn't as fleshed out because I'm more invested in social links and the school sim part of the game. An elected member of the council is having secret dealings with a group called [Insert cool bad guy group name here]. The group is Salem affiliated and looking to destabilize the kingdom of Vale. It's never straight up said to be Salem nor is she ever shown (until post-credits) but it's heavily hinted.

Game ends when you defeat the leader of the bad guy group and out the council member. Pre-credits scene is your avatar character, their team, Team RWBY, CFVY and JNPR taking a group picture. The character with the highest social link is standing closest to you. Maybe it could be different for each character like Ruby hugging your arm, Yang kissing you on the cheek, Weiss blushing, Blake resting her head on your shoulder etc. Maybe it could also be different if you choose to be romantic or platonic with them.

Post-Credits scene is Salem watching Beacon from afar in her castle. She's using a seer grimm as she does. Camera zooms out to show Tyrian, Hazel and Watts behind her.

"What do we do now, my mistress?" Tyrian asks.

"Oh, we're just getting started," Salem responds.

Cut to black. End of game.
