How I would make Nico and Percy an end game
(a very long text that I wrote at 3 am):
Before Percy threw himself into the River Styx, Nico would declare himself, as neither of them knew if this would work, so all that romantic tension that was between Percy/Rachel/Annabeth would turn into Percy/Rachel/annabeth/Nico, this would help Percy think more about his feelings about Nico, so he would be "rejected" by Rachel and still be thinking about Nico's declaration. thanks to that Annabeth and Percy would never have dated and Percy would still be thinking that during the holidays after the war in Manhattan.
Percy would be kidnapped by Hera, she would remind him of Annabeth to manipulate him, he would find Nico and remember him (even though that shouldn't happen) okay, everything goes normally, but Percy's decisive moment in his decision would be when Annabeth saw him and immediately spun him around in a judo strike. From that moment on, he understood which of the two really cared about him.
Everything would go on normally again until they find Nico in the jar, Percy rescues him and they have a talk about feelings (as much as they both hate it, Percy knew it was necessary) They kind of go into a state of "let's get to know each other before we date" and that doesn't last long because suddenly Percy is in Tartarus with Annabeth. In Tartar, Percy and Annabeth talk about this situation with Nico (he doesn't mention that Nico also likes him because Nico hasn't come out of the closet yet) and they understand each other, realizing that maybe they would be better as friends anyway, They find bob and Percy is like "did Nico say that?" And falling more and more in love. When he poisons that goddess to save Annabeth, he feels resentful when she simply acts like he's a monster and tells him not to use those powers.
On the other hand, Nico and Jason go to Cupid to get that scepter and Nico has to admit about his crush on Percy, but that's not so bad now that they're in a situationship, Cupid is kind of happy about it instead "muahahaha unrequited love! Pain! Suffering!" But he's still upset about being pulled out of the closet, but Jason accepts him and suddenly he became the #0 percico shipper.
when they meet again, after tartarus, Annabeth and Jason end up finding a way to get Percy and Nico alone to clarify things (and even kiss but that doesn't happen), Nico explains about cupid and Jason and Percy vents about Annabeth and misery.
This is a good start for them to get to know each other better and Jason was 100% trying to get them together, but it will take a while because they need to develop more to be ready to really to fall in love.
When they have to separate, when Nico stops to take the Athena Parthenon, Percy promises that as soon as this war is over, they would go on a date. and when Percy is leaving to prepare and face Gaia, he gets a lucky kiss.
(in this part I'm only going to talk about Nico because Percy's part doesn't have anything very relevant to the couple)
I don't remember exactly the order of things that happened in this book but:
Nico meets the Artemis hunters and something in him tells him to reveal himself to Thalia, after all, if her brother knows why not?
Before taking his nap, he ends up revealing he will go on a date with Percy to Reyna, he doesn't know her reaction as he went to sleep afterwards but she was like "oh, good for you man"
When he meets Hades, they have that father and son conversation and at the end he just says "...and I'm dating Percy" and hades "...the son of Poseidon? Wasn't there someone better?"
When Nico arrives at camp and Will Solace is babbling about births, and he just holds Nico's hand to place on his chest, in Nico's mind it's like "get out, I have a boyfriend" but he doesn't say that
This whole Nico arc is basically him finally feeling good enough about himself to come out to his friends and dad, but not good enough to disclose it to anyone. Still, it is a greater evolution than the original book.
The end of the war arrives and Nico is slowly turning into a ghost, Leo has died and so has Octavian, the air smells of death and victory and they need to rest.
The first thing Percy does as soon as he is free is to look for Nico, who was in the infirmary after using his powers a lot. Despite being tired, Nico never asks Percy to stop talking when he starts to tell every little thing about the battle when they were apart, and as soon as he finishes Nico lets out a "I love you, but right now I need to sleep for the next week." Percy thought he was joking when this literally happened. Reyna explained that this was normal and during Nico's nap, he planned their date.
The date: Percy was dressed up (like, with an improvised suit) and had a (stolen) rose in his hand, he took Nico to the entrance of the camp where Sally was prepared as his official driver (inside she was MY SON'S FIRST BOYFRIEND!!!) and there were snacks in the car because the trip would be long (They spent this time in the car talking about Nico's journey and how he came out to his father, Thalia and Reyna). Percy had asked for reservations at an Italian restaurant (a real one, with Italian chefs), because he remembered that Nico is Italian and he probably hasn't eaten real Italian food since he was a kid. They talk about everything, school, camp, friends, family. Until they both realize that neither of them know exactly what they want to do in the future. Nico wanted to continue life the way that is, doing missions for his father, traveling and meeting Percy (usually to save his life buuut who cares) While Percy wanted to have a normal life, going to camp in the summers to meet his friends and help the New demigods, but without going on missions all the time or risking your life, only if absolutely necessary, but still working in the mortal world (he doesn't want to go to college) and have his own house.
To conclude: they both followed their respective lifestyles, but they still met practically every day, and when they didn't, they called each other. Eventually they were falling in love. They only told a few people (Hazel, Reyna, Rachel, Annabeth, Jason, Grover, Thalia and Clarisse) and it was ok!
no one expected that this would end, But love is like that, it's very unpredictable

When multiple historians called out the 1619 Project's pervasive historical fraud, known compulsive liar, Nikole Hannah-Jones justified it as "reshaping public memory." That is, it isn't true, but it should be true, and people should believe and insist that it's true.
Dublin Pride has since added some text to their page to handwave the dishonesty. However, anyone using the site and its assets as a historical reference - and why wouldn't they, when it's the official site for Dublin Pride - will be reproducing the images they want them to have, not the ones that are factually accurate. So any news sites that source from their site will be, knowingly or not, perpetuating Dublin Pride's rewrite of their own history.

Of course Israel claims Hamas did…everything they have since October 7th, and 75 years before.
I was sorta in shock that they were using a TikTok trend at first but then I remembered the Israeli’s (who support the terrorist regime of Israel) are actually fucking idiots.
But then I tried to break it down.
1. Are they claiming these brown people are Hamas? Or are they just putting these brown people in front of a camera and making them say they are? Are they actually Israelis?
2. Why is that white girl speaking English? Are they targeting Gen Z Americans/Brits/Australians?
3. Why did they think this would work? Are they stupid?
Anyways, these terrorists (isnotreal) can’t rewrite history no matter how many skinny white women they shove in our faces

So these are the ways the right-wing, white “Christian” nationalist agenda is being written into Florida’s new “patriotic” civics education standards. The slides shown are bad enough but according to the article:
Educators interviewed by the Herald/Times said that most of their concerns took place during the explanation of the materials.
Below are a few of the troubling slides from the Florida Department of Education’s (DE) training that grossly distort American history to serve this right-wing agenda. [NOTE: all red underlining in these slides was added.]
Dismantling the Separation of Church and State
The slide below shows how Florida’s DE wants it taught as FACT that the Founders didn’t want a “strict separation of church and state.”

It seems to me that the Florida DE is trying to pass off as TRUE a right-wing “Christian” interpretation of the Founders’ intent. In reality, there is actually a lot of evidence that the Founders wanted a “strict” separation of church and state.

The Florida DE also apparently wants to teach that the Founders believed that religion (specifically Christianity) provided the necessary moral foundation for the nation to govern itself.

Although one of the Florida DE slides mentions Rhode Island accepting “religious refugees from Massachusetts” there is NO mention in the slide that Roger Williams established religious freedom in Rhode Island for people of any faith. This freedom was written into Rhode Island’s 1663 charter. (However, it is possible that the explanation for the slide mentions that.)
Instead there is a slide that focuses on “The Maryland Toleration Act,” which allowed freedom of religion for anyone “professing to beleive [sic] in Jesus Christ.”

Teaching as FACT That it Is WRONG to Interpret the Constitution as a “Living Document”

Contrary to what the Florida DE wants to teach, there are excellent arguments to show that the Constitution is a “living document” that can be informed by common law. In addition, consider the Ninth Amendment: 
“The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”
The existence of the Ninth Amendment suggests that the Founders understood that not every right could be written into the Constitution, and so they acknowledged that other rights exist.
It would seem that the Florida DE is on the side of the conservative originalists and textualists--who ironically often don’t abide by their own “rules” for interpretation (e.g. the District of Columbia v. Heller decision). 
Regardless, how to interpret the Constitution should be the subject of DEBATE and not dictated by the Florida DE.

Playing Down the Negative Peculiarities of American Slavery in the Nation’s Founding
The slides also try to minimize the tragedy of slavery in Colonial America. There are virtually NO slides that show how awful slavery was in our country.  And although one slide acknowledged that “2/3 of the Founders held slaves,” the slide made it seem as though the slaveholding Founders weren’t supportive of slavery.

Well, those Founders who didn’t “defend” slavery kept their slaves anyway (although Washington’s will freed his slaves after his death). But here’s a couple of quotes from one of the Founders, Charles Pinckney of South Carolina who defended slavery--and puts the lie to the above slide:
“While there remained one acre of swamp land uncleared of South Carolina, I would raise my voice against restricting the importation of Negroes. I am . . . thoroughly convinced . . . that the nature of our climate, and the flat, swampy situation of our country, obliges us to cultivate our lands with negroes, and that without them South Carolina would soon be a desert waste.”  – Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, South Carolina Ratifying convention, 1788
“They [Africans] certainly must have been created with less intellectual power than the whites, and were most probably intended to serve them, and be the instruments of their cultivation.” – Charles Pinckney, 1821
And the slide below is also misleading:

The above slide leaves out a very important fact mentioned in an article on The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History website:
“Of the 10 to 16 million Africans who survived the voyage to the New World.... only 6 percent arrived in what is now the United States. Yet by 1860, approximately two thirds of all New World slaves lived in the American South.“ [emphasis added]
How could this be that the U.S. started with such a small percentage of slaves from the transatlantic slave trade but had the largest slave population by 1860? Well, the Florida DE hints at it in the above slide when they mention that slave numbers expanded “through birth.” 
The numbers of male and female Africans brought to Colonial America were roughly equal; whereas other parts of the Americas had more male slaves. The low birthrates and high death rates of slaves in other regions contributed to their having smaller slave populations by 1860. Also, some parts of the Caribbean, such has Haiti, had abolished slavery as early as 1793.
Another reason, according to The Gilder Lehrman Institute article is that the Spanish and Portuguese were more open to interracial “mixing” with Africans (in part because of few European women) and “recognized a wide range of racial gradations, including black, mestizo, quadroon, and octoroon.” Whereas:
“The American South, in contrast, adopted a two-category system of race in which any person with a black mother was automatically considered to be black.” [emphasis added]
Furthermore, in 1662, chattel slavery was established in colonial Virginia through a law that any child born of a Black female slave (regardless of the race of the father) would be considered a slave. So slavery became based on race and birth in the South. I don’t know if that was the explanation the Florida DE provided of the slide but somehow I don’t think those facts were highlighted.

Look through the slides for yourselves. But to me it is shocking that teaching a right-wing, white “Christian” nationalist view of American history is being ordered by the Florida government. 
It is ironic that as academic freedom is being shut down in Florida and other GQP states in favor of right-wing indoctrination, Putin has just started a big push to “indoctrinate” Russian school children with a “militarized and anti-Western version of patriotism.”
It seems to me that creeping right-wing autocracy in GQP states is making them more like autocratic Russia than like American states where academic freedom is still allowed.

Been listening to Alice Francis' - St James Ballroom, Shoot him down and The Correspondents' - Fear & Delight on repeat and my gosh, I've been wanting to draw 1920's inspired Drakgo for along time now! I intended for this to be a joker card of a full set of Kim Possible playing cards (@creatorping pointed out that Kim would make a great King, Monique a Queen, Ron the Jack (of all trades) and I think Wade as an Ace) but it's a bit too ambitious to fully shade all those cards as well, maybe I do it in the future but for now nope. Special thanks to my BF for knowing a shit-ton about weaponry and telling me what would suit the best. Got an entire list but I went in the end with Tommy gun. I'm not that good at drawing them tho :')

What are your thoughts on the rewriting history episode? I love that episode, but was it all Kim and Ron's dream, or did it actually happen? I thought it was strange that Miss Go was evil when Shego came from a family of heroes, and she was the one who broke free from that. I don't see her having any evil ancestors, which is why I have a hard time believing that episode was more than just a shared dream
interesting that that's your rationale. also notice they have dementor as a good guy rather than as a bad guy.
i'm afraid it all lends more toward the shared dream possibility than to the actually happened possibility. you have all the parallel characters/ancestors filling the roles they fill in the modern day... barkin, shego as you mention being a villain... the only one not in their usual role is dementor. the coincidences are too many to be realistic, thus a dream is more likely.
that said, i don't believe in shared dreams really haha. i personally would much rather take the approach that it's all real. especially because of the history we get about drakken, it's one of the few mama lipsky episodes...
i think this is one of those episodes where you have to suspend disbelief somehow, no matter which route you go. it's a fabulous episode, perfectly balancing the storytelling of the past with what happens in the present. all the characters get moments to shine, and the writing is fabulous. this is top tier KP right here.
as to my personal headcanon... i want it to be real and not a dream. can i argue that and prove it? no, no i can't. but that's what i'm gonna go with.

I’m a lot more interested at the ending, though…. Masked warrior? Ronicus (?) That makes me want to draw them as gladiators :0

Netanyahu: Palestinian Gave Hitler Idea to Exterminate Jews
**Just to show the insane lengths this sociopath will go to in order to justify the murder of Palestinian. How far gone do you have to be to defend Hitler in order to place the blame for the Holocaust on a Muslim? Even historians from the Holocaust Museum have had to debunk this lunacy. This is a person that the US praises as an ally? Netanyahu is legitimately sociopathic**
Israel's prime minister suggested that a Palestinian gave Adolf Hitler the idea to exterminate Jews in the Holocaust, drawing rebukes from historians and politicians.
In a speech to Jewish leaders on Tuesday, Benjamin Netanyahu that the Mufti of Jerusalem in the World War II era — Haj Amin al-Husseini — had a "central role" in inspiring Hitler's Final Solution to make Jews extinct.
"He flew to Berlin. Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jews," Netanyahu said. According to Netanyahu, Hitler asked the mufti what he should do.
"He said, 'Burn them,'" Netanyahu told the gathering.
"He had no impact on Hitler. He drew his inspiration from Hitler and not vice versa"
Netanyahu — the son of a historian — previously has described the Mufti as a "leading architect" of Hitler's Final Solution, according to Haaretz.
Contained within a broader speech alleging Palestinian incitement and against the bloody backdrop of recent violence against Israelis, Tuesday's remarks hit a fresh nerve. Politicians and historians were quick to condemn the comments as inaccurate or worse.
The chief historian of the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum, Dina Porat, told NBC News that Netanyahu's claims were simply "not correct."
“Hitler was the one who came up with the idea of the Final Solution … not the mufti," she said.
Porat said Hitler had been floating the idea for years — well before his Nov. 28, 1941, meeting with Husseini in Berlin. The mufti came to the meeting to push for Middle East inclusion in Hitler's plan, Porat explained, adding that a summary of the meeting makes no mention of anything Netanyahu referenced in his remarks.
“Hitler did not need him to tell him what to do with the Jews,” Porat said. "The Jews were already burning."
She said Netanyahu's wording was "not careful" — especially for the son of a prominent historian who grew up in a home "imbued" with Jewish history.
Opposition leader Isaac Herzog said Netanyahu's words amounted to a "dangerous distortion of history" which falls "like ripe fruit" into the hands of Holocaust deniers.
"It minimizes the Holocaust, the Nazis" and Hitler's role in the "terrible tragedy," Herzog wrote in a post on his official Facebook page. "I demand that Netanyahu correct himself."
While the mufti may have been a Nazi sympathizer, "there was only one Hitler," Herzog added.
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat slammed Netanyahu for "morally indefensible and inflammatory" remarks and accused the prime minister of exploiting a tragedy for political gain.
"Netanyahu blamed the Palestinians for the Holocaust," Erekat said in a statement. "It is a sad day in history when the leader of the Israeli government hates his neighbor so much so that he is willing to absolve the most notorious war criminal in history, Adolf Hitler, of the murder of 6 million Jews."
Even Netanyahu's ally and Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon questioned the remarks.
"It certainly wasn't (Husseini) who invented the Final Solution," Yaalon told Israel's Army Radio, according to Reuters. "That was the evil brainchild of Hitler himself."
The Israeli prime minister attempted to clarify his remarks Wednesday amid the uproar, saying he had “no intention” to absolve Hitler of responsibility.
“Hitler was responsible for the Final Solution to exterminate six million Jews. He made ​​the decision,” Netanyahu said ahead of his departure for Berlin. “It is equally absurd to ignore the role played by the Mufti… the Mufti was instrumental in the decision to exterminate the Jews of Europe.”
