Chapter Summary: Javi takes you out on your date and you meet some potential friends

A/N: Hey, y'all! Super excited about this one! These character introductions mean a lot to this story. Hope you like it! (also sorry about not posting last week, pls forgive me ❤)

“Shit,” you mutter.

You’re staring at yourself in the mirror, fixated on the ugly welt marring your right cheekbone. Your right eye is a bit swollen as well, but not too badly. You’re mostly worried about how the hell you’re going to hide the discoloring. Even with your makeup, it’s going to be a feat.

It makes your stomach twist up to remember last night’s events. You still don’t understand why you had chosen to freak out like that. It was completely immature and irrational. He was just worried about you and you chose to berate him for it.

Thankfully, Javi seems to have completely forgiven you for your outburst. He woke up as normal this morning, planted a kiss on your forehead, and made your breakfast. You smile to think about it. Despite everything that happened yesterday, everything today is back as it should be, just how you like it.

You sigh and turn the sink on. You’ll wash your face and get dressed, then worry about this monstrosity last. You’re excited for your date. Javi told you that he’ll be taking you to a small restaurant a few blocks from the apartment. He’s out running an errand right now, or so he said. He wasn’t very specific, but he did promise to be back in time for your dinner date.

You lean down and splash your face with the cool water, suppressing a wince as it hits your bruised flesh. You really didn’t realize the hit had landed that hard. You scrub it anyway, being careful to not press too hard. You don’t think Javi got a very good look at it this morning, which is probably a good thing. He’d likely be devastated to know he caused such an injury.

You finish washing your face and reach for your dress hanging on the back of the door. It’s one of Javi’s favorites, and you’re excited to finally have an excuse to wear it again. You slip it over your head and turn around to zip the back with the help of the mirror. You pull at the edge and smooth it out so it falls effortlessly just above your knees.

It’s a beautiful color in contrast with your skintone, hell, it’s a beautiful dress in general. You smile at your appearance in the mirror. It’s not often you feel confident, but this dress never fails to bring it out of you. Maybe that’s why Javi likes it so much, too.

You hear the front door open as you fix one of the sleeves of the dress, a smile spreading across your face at the sound. Javi calls your name in greeting and your stomach flutters.

“I’m in here,” you call back. His footsteps grow closer.

“You ready, sweetheart?”

You peek your head out from the bathroom, careful to hide your right side behind the door frame. Javi’s standing in the middle of the bedroom. He looks gorgeous—as usual. He’s wearing a blue button up with his jeans and his regular boots.

“Yup, I’ll be just a second.”

“Alright, baby, take your time. There’s no rush.” He sends you a wink.

You flash him a quick smile before ducking back in and cracking the door behind you. You pick up your compact and lean in close to the mirror. The first layer doesn’t do much at all. The second makes a small difference, and by the third, all that’s left is to touch up certain spots. Even then though, you know there’s nothing you can do about the swelling of your eye and one of the deeper bruises. You take a step back. It doesn’t look so bad when you’re not too close.

You sigh and finish up the rest of it, only putting everything away once you’re satisfied that you look pretty much normal. Like it’s any other date night. You turn the light off and step out of the bathroom.

“Javi?”

“In the kitchen, sweetheart.”

You follow his voice, finding him leaning against the kitchen counter and craning his neck slightly to look out the window.

You grin as you step into view, giving him a small twirl and watching his smile widen when his gaze lands on you. You do your best to hide your right side, but try to be casual enough that he won’t think that’s what you’re trying to do.

“You look gorgeous, baby,” he says, walking toward you with open arms.

You let him embrace you in a hug, wrapping your own arms around his middle as he presses a kiss to the top of your head. “Thank you, Javi,” you mumble into his chest.

He lets you go after a moment and picks something up from the counter.

“Here, hermosa, got something for you” he offers you the bouquet of flowers. You gasp, sure that it’s the most beautiful bunch you’ve ever seen. That must have been why he went out. You’ll really never get over how thoughtful he is. It must have taken him a while to pick these out.

You beam at him as you take them in your hand. “Thank you,” you say again. He nods at you, warmth in his gaze as he watches you softly sniff the flowers. You look up when he clears his throat.

“Wanted to say I’m sorry,” he tells you, eyes flickering to and from yours. You frown a bit.

“It’s okay, Javi, I was the one acting up,” you assure him. You don’t want him to feel bad over something that wasn’t his fault. Just thinking about it puts a bad taste in your mouth. He’s much too sweet of a man to ever think that he’s done something wrong. You’re the childish one who threw a temper tantrum for no reason. It’s not fair for him to blame himself for what happened.

He nods solemnly, giving you a soft smile.

“I think we were both in the wrong there, sweetheart. I just don’t want it to happen again.”

Now it’s your turn to nod. You’re beaming inside at the fact that everything seems to be back to normal, but there’s also a sudden threat of tears pricking at your eyes and you’re not sure why. You look away, refusing to let them fall as you busy yourself putting them into a vase.

“Let me just put these in some water, and I’ll be ready,” you say as you turn on the sink.

You’re walking out the door minutes later, hand in hand with Javi as you try to contain the smile on your face. You’re way too excited about getting out. A part of you feels a bit guilty about getting your way after last night, but you suppose that Javi would have told you no if he thought it was really a bad idea tonight.

You stay silent and let him lead you downstairs, and you actually have to bite down on your lip to keep from full-on grinning when the evening air hits your face. It’s not too busy of a night, not many people out on the street at all. Still, Javi holds you close to his side as you make your way to the restaurant he was telling you about.

It’s not far, maybe a four or five minute walk from the complex. It’s small and cozy, exactly what you would hope for. He keeps his hand on the small of your back as you go to sit at an empty table, pulling your chair out for you and making sure you’re comfortable before sitting down in the seat across from you.

You smile at him as a waitress comes by and drops off a couple of menus. She takes your drink orders—a soda for you and a beer for Javi. You busy yourself with looking over the food options, failing to notice the way Javi’s started to stare at you.

His hand comes quickly across the table, making you flinch from surprise when he grabs your chin and tilts your head enough to see your right cheek.

“What’s this?” he demands.

You wince, really wishing you could have avoided this. You should have kept layering your makeup.

“”S from last night,” you mumble, ashamed even though you know you shouldn’t be. You just don’t want him to see what physical damage he may have done. He’ll tear himself up over it.

But he instead snaps, “And you didn’t fucking cover it?”

You’re taken aback, your head snapping away from his grasp. Shame fills you. Why can’t you just do something right for once? Tears again fill your eyes, only adding to your shame.

“I-I’m sorry, Javi,” you say quietly, staring at your hands in your lap. “I was just really excited to go out and—”

He sighs and leans back in his chair, cutting you off from your pointless excuse. “Just make sure nobody sees it,” he tells you. “Do you have any idea what that could do to me in my field of work?”

You nod, sniffing as your ears burn with embarrassment. Here he is taking you out and you ruin it by making another stupid decision. At least you’re not getting angry again. You have enough sense to keep that at bay.

You catch the waitress walking back with your drinks out of the corner of your eye and do your best to quickly collect yourself, giving her a warm, tear free smile when she sets your soda down in front of you. She smiles back and takes Javi’s order, which you order as well since you forgot to choose a dish for yourself.

You flash Javi a shy smile when she walks away, and, much to your relief, he gives you a small one in response. He’s still obviously not very thrilled with you, but at least he’s not straight mad.

“How have things been going at the house, baby?”

You know he means with renovations.

“They’re pretty good. Almost finished with all the painting and stuff. I might just need you to help me with some of the tile and cabinets.”

He nods. “Alright, I’ll see if I can get it done tomorrow.”

You nod back, trying not to be too tense. The conversation almost feels…awkward. It’s confusing. Luckily, the waitress comes quickly with your food, placing it in front of you and leaving you to it.

Conversation gets a bit better as the two of you eat. More casual and free-flowing.It’s not quite how it’s been the last few months, though. More like when the two of you had gone out together the first few times and had been a little shy. You brush it off though, sure that it won’t last too long. Even the two of you haven’t ever really been in a ‘post-fight’ situation yet, you believe that your chemistry is good enough for it to work itself out soon.

And it pretty much does by the time you’re finishing up your dinner. Javi’s smiling as you gush to him about a book you’re currently reading. It’s a very cute romance, one of the ones he’s brought you recently. He’s listening intently, happy to see your eyes light up with excitement.

The waitress comes back with the bill just as you’re telling him about the ending, and he hands his card over, along with a cash tip, as he continues to listen. It’s so nice to have someone who enjoys hearing about your interests. Before Javi, you can’t really remember having a person who would genuinely want to hear about your books.

You finish just as the waitress comes back, revealing the plot twist dramatically. His eyes widen with your reveal, both to indulge you but also probably a bit out of surprise because—in your opinion—it was a pretty insane plot twist.

But then his gaze darkens, pointed over your shoulder, and you frown.

“Javi?”

Your mouth is open to say his name, but it wasn’t you who said it. You snap your head around to see a couple walking toward you, the man smiling broadly. There’s a woman holding his hand, looking a little less enthusiastic than the man about seeing your husband.

You see Javi tense out of the corner of your eye as they reach your table. The man drops the woman's hand to round the table and clap Javi’s shoulder.

“What are you doing, you son of a bitch?” the man asks in a joking tone. “Thought you said you didn’t date.”

Javi’s jaw clenches as your brows furrow.

What?

“Uhm, yeah,” you supply, ignoring the way your stomach churns at the fact that he hadn’t mentioned you at all. “That may have something to do with the fact that he’s married.” You hold your left hand up, flashing your ring. The man’s light brows go up in surprise, a slight smirk overtaking his features. But then the smile drops and he shoots his gaze down to your husband.

“Well I’ll be damned,” he says slowly. “Didn’t think you were the type, Peña.” His tone is almost flat now. You don’t understand why it changed so quickly. Javi looks back up at him, a flicker of dark emotion that you can’t quite place showing in his eyes.

“Sweetheart,” Javi addresses you, keeping his eyes on the stranger. “This is Steve, my partner at work.”

He doesn’t talk about work much, but from what he’s told you about his partner, your understanding is that they get along pretty well. So you don’t quite understand the surge of hostility between the two of them right now.

You smile nonetheless, standing and reaching your hand out to him. You state your name. “It’s nice to meet you.”

He nods as he shakes your hand, giving you a tight smile in return. His expression is almost hard to read. He nods to the woman next to you. “That’s my wife, Connie.”

You turn to shake her hand as well, and you can tell you’ll immediately like her. She gives you a bright smile as well, telling you it’s nice to meet you. She seems very nice, but also like she wouldn’t be afraid to speak up for herself. You find yourself hoping that you’ll be able to see her again. Maybe be friends.

“We were just leaving,” Javi says from where he watches the two of you. Steve has taken a step back now, and is also watching you both with his arms crossed, though he doesn’t look mad, exactly. More like he’s contemplating something.

You frown though, having thought that you still had a little while before you had to go back.

“But—”

He flashes you a warning look, and you quiet down. Maybe you misunderstood him and he doesn’t like his partner. Either way, if he wants to go back, it’s probably for a good reason and you shouldn’t fight it. You nod at him instead, smoothing out your dress.

“Well, it was nice to meet you,” you say to Steve and Connie as Javi comes to your side and takes your arm in his.

“You, too,” Connie says, and Steve nods, another small smile offered as Javi starts to lead you out. You don’t turn to watch them as you leave, instead keeping your eyes on Javi, who has his on the exit.

“What was that about?” you ask.

He glances at you with a softer gaze than you’ve seen all night. Again, you can’t place the look.

“Don’t worry about it, sweetheart,” he assures you and kisses the side of your head. So you don’t.

When the two of you get home, Javi cracks open another beer and holds you on the couch until you both fall asleep watching TV.

Download skins: SFS / Mega

A set of 22 geneticized & townified skins, including defaults for S1-S2-S3-S4 and the alien skin. Credit for the original skins goes to @whysim, Nat / @theboldandthebeautifulsims, @pooklet and Tea Leaf, thank you so much to them!

I did however make substantial tweaks and additions to all skins: • everyone TU-EU has the appropriate fat, normal and fit states (for the alien textures to show up as they should, please use Argon's alien and zombie fitness fix) • all elders have wrinkles, except on the alien skin (I used @simnopke's subtle wrinkles) • all toddlers have the cute toddler teeth and babies have no teeth, • teeth from Nat's, Pooklet's and Tea Leaf's skins were replaced either with ones from the Whysim skins or the ones used on @serabiet's Those Darn Skins, just because they're less bright and I like that better • all skins are compatible with sexyfeet (I just had to cover up a watermark on one of them iirc) • lowered the color temperature on Whysim BuffyHP Tan Skinblend TG (S2).

Complete previews of AU-EU faces and uncensored bodies (fat, normal and fit) are included in the download, which is why it's such a large archive (the skins themselves aren't particularly heavy, don't worry). Teens get the same textures as adults; children, toddler and babies have their own.

These skins are townified, meaning that new townies and NPCs that spawn can get them. They are also geneticized, meaning that they have genetic values that inform which skintones will be given to babies born in game. Basically babies will always get skintones that fall in between or on the skintones that their biological parents have, as is the case for the four default skintones.

You can see the genetic value that I assigned to a skin at the end its file name. Example: "1_Whysim_MiscSkinBlend32TG_0.05.package" → this skin has a genetic value of 0.05. The skins that are S1-S4 default replacements have respective genetic values of 0.1, 0.3, 0.6 and 0.9. For more info on that and to learn how to change a custom skin's genetic value, see Rikkulidea's tutorial.

If you don't want all 22 skins but just a selection, feel free to pick and choose and it won't disrupt anything when it comes to genetics (if you want to mix them with other skins however, you may want to make sure that all the genetic values really are in a sequence from lightest to darkest). If on the other hand you think 22 skins isn't enough, check you @esotheria-sims's 97 geneticized skins 💖

✨Future plans for body shapes: these here skins are regular skins linked to the standard Maxis body shapes. I will be working on showerproof skins for custom body shapes that will be repo'd to these skins, starting with Momma Lisa/Melodie9 fat male (edit: it's here!). It may take a while but in the end all 22 skins will come in showerproof versions for as many body shapes as I have the mental fortitude to do (making showerproof skins is an excruciating mix of requiring focus and discipline while being extremely tedious).

The F hair used on the titlecard is @fakebloood's SClub Haruki in dynamite - the M hair below the cut is AlmightyHat's Shorn in dynamite - the eyes in all previews are from this set by @serabiet - the eyebrows are defaults by Cavernosims.

BLOODSUCKER UI

This would be a long-read, sorry for that!

I can consider myself one of the quickest creator of the most complete default UI for TS3 😅 But it would be impossible without help of @mookymilksims ❤ I used her BGM UI as a base, also for some reason regular method of creating DRs of loading screen doesn't work for me, so I used @justmiha97 Clean UI Loading Screen as a reference, what files Ii need to replace. And of course dino_rex with this thread on MTS. I also want to give a huge thanks for the testing and taking screenshots of the mod to @sagasimsworld and Mary_WW (she isn't on tumblr), because without them I couldn't find and fix most critical bugs in time. Also, even if most of the UI is replaced and it's fully playable, It's still need polishing and testing, so if you see any bug or some of the parts of UI that looks bad (e.g buttons that are near each other having different shades or smth like that), send me PM or ask with screenshots. Also this mod needs testing with different reshade presets, because I worry that some of them may enhance red colors of the UI and that may cause eyestrain. All screenshots are taken without reshade.

Recolored most of the CAS, CASt, CAP, CAB (plumbots editor), Live mode, Build & Buy mode and Town mode (except map tags):

Loading Screen is compatible with any language (but has only translated in english and russian in main file and ukrainian translation in separated package (AE_BloodsuckerUI_LoadingScreen_UA), that contains translated files only for english and russian version. For working ukrainian translation in english game you need font replacement (Montserrat).

Yeah, image that I used on loading screen is different from that one I showed you on this post (it's my desktop wallpaper now lol). It's because required image for ts3 loading screens is 1024x768, and when I resize original collage it became squished, so I added more images:

In main file of the UI are added this mods, so if you have them, you need to remove it from your game: @fanaskhe-r update of More slots for topical details mod, cmar_nyc's Skintone Panel, Recolored version of Menaceman's Pets Relationships Icons (other relationship headlines recolored as well!).

I created my own replacement for occults in relationship panel, so @sweetdevil-sims icons or removing of halos isn't needed anymore.

For opportunities tab I used recolored correct Shang Simla Forbidden city icon by @thebleedingwoodland, and I definitely recommend installing the whole mod, just delete with S3PE opp_generic_china image so they wouldn't conflict.

Icons are from Freepik. You are allowed to use them for creating "Minimalistic occult relationship panel" with vanilla UI or other UI default.

Also I created compatible and recolored versions for some popular mods, that replaces parts of UI, you can download them in ADDONS archive:

This blush has been out for a while, but I never made an actual post for it so... here it is! It's just called blush, because to me it is THE BLUSH. I use it for every and any sim I make, ALWAYS.

It comes in 7 swatches: red, coral, pink, periwinkle, purple and a more intense version of the red and coral colors (they don't seem that different on regular sims, but you can see the difference on berry sims). The blush changed a bit from my previous releases, I improved the highlights, and the coral and periwinkle swatches are brand new.

The last 3 swatches were made with berry sims in mind! If you want a more natural color, you can change the hue with the slider in cas. In fact, this sim is using the purple swatch (you can see the changes I made to the sliders below).

With this blush, I always use this Skintone Set by @annamsblue, which I am using on the preview above. Here's how the blush looks without it (I also removed the misc details highlight):

inZOI looks promising

I have watched a review video by RachelPedd, talking about Zoi character creation. Here are my personal highlights: pros

Sims 4-like sliders, just pull the region you want to change

color wheels for clothes and makeup!

different recolorable areas, glossiness slider on certain types of makeup

opacity slider for makeup

sliders for iris and pupil size, color and brightness for eye, separately recolorable outer rim of iris

clothes can be layered (jacket over a dress, or a shirt...)

clothes can be individually changed (change collars, style of sleeves, hem length on a shirt, etc)

character are trait-based, but with general traits likeopenness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism, which I think is excellent! You can pick one trait from each of these categories. These traits unlock at different life stages, some earlier, some only when becoming a young adult, which is interesting.

male/female ZOI's seem to have a height difference

a lot of clothes are for both for male and female bodies

in addition to regular animation, you can enable different fixed poses in character creation

cons:

you can only create adult ZOIs in character creation, life stages younger than young adult are only accessible through gameplay

there is a pattern system, but only AI-based (AI images are very hit-and-miss)

Maxis Match Klingon Skintones

A while back I went looking for some Klingon skin tones, and the only ones I could find were a) based on alpha skins and b) either inaccessible or accessible only by the Wayback machine. So I decided to try my hand at skintone creation and began cursing out Bodyshop's habit of making images ever so slightly crunchy.

The details:

All ages, both genders

5 colors: four meant to match the maxis skintones and one extra dark one

These are based on @dreadpirate's Honeygold Redux, as that's what I use for my defaults. The Klingon forehead details were taken from the light version of this skintone, which I could only find bundled with this sim. The nose details were from this skintone as the original didn't have any.

These are customized and not townified, so they shouldn't show up on random sims wandering around town. They'll also behave like alien skins so they'll end up being more dominant than the regular one.

I suspect this isn't a normal way of developing character designs for a comic, and I KNOW this isn't a normal way of developing designs for a cast of characters for a prose story.

But this is where I'm starting to develop the appearance of my characters from the body horror mecha novel I'm starting to fiddle around with with my wife, tentatively titled Carapace and Chrysalis.

We couldn't resist a sendup to the old Sentai shows, so we have divvied up our mecha pilots by color- red, yellow, blue, black, pink and green.

So I started off with uniform colors, but since it's not a happy story I wanted to rotate off regular primary colors a bit. I went a bit vintage printing, a bit natural stone...I wanted fairly grounded versions of these colors. From there I added skintone, eye color, hair color, and an accent color, and tweaked everything to give the cast a cohesive look, as if this was for animation.

Just like with Names in Their Blood, I do intend to make a bunch of art for Carapace and Chrysalis, to show you all online. I don't intend to animate, because animating multi-armed, strangely-shaped, insect-informed mecha is far beyond where I expect my animation skills to ever reach.

But it will be nice to design some characters that are more obviously inspired by their genres, since most of my Names in their Blood cast look quite ordinary.

I'm gonna have to remember how to draw old school anime style, at least a bit.

So, here is the introduction of Xanthe, Claret, Sini, Rossa, Varjo and Chloe. Aren't they lovely?

Maybe this is a bad time to bring this up but we’ve seen the Jasper Trio turn into Cybertronians but what if Team Prime turned human?

Ok I have been thinking on this and Going off my messing with the idea of Quintessa, set in about a year into the Timeskip AU for further funnies. Mortal Machines

A vengeful Cybertronian sorceress had returned with a grudge. And a very high superiority complex to rival most other cons to boot, she used a relic so obscure, that it could be argued even Alpha Trion had not recorded it in the Iacon Relics.

And the unexpected results of this relic, were the entirety of team Prime ( Arcee, Ratchet, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Ultra Magnus, Smokescreen , Elita and Optimus Prime ) having a rather...unique and new kind of transformation. Into a human form. Human forms that resembled their holoforms at the very least, which made recognizing them far easier than if they had been regular humans, but... Oh lord was this going to get hectic. It was..an experience for sure. I mean sure, holoforms could be quite realistic in their sensations, to the point of picking up, carrying things, feeling , but this was wholly new to the team. They were just very glad that when it did happen? They were close enough to contact base at all. Safe to say? The kids were very perplexed to see the now human Autobots before them.

The first they encountered was Bumblebee, with sun kissed skin, eyes of icy blues you'd think they were almost silver, and short golden blond so perfect you'd think his hair was golden straw, if not for the faint black streaking through it in spots. He looked so young, in his early 20s surely, and a sturdy 6ft tall. Scars littered his skin, but he was quick to scoop up Raf into his arms, laughing as the stunned kids saw him in a true blue human form. He was dressed in what looked like just casual wear, save for the bright yellow and black leather jacket, with a fittingly bee themed emblem on his back and shoulders.

Next was Bulkhead, who looked so...normal in comparison to some of the more brightly colored team mates, but upon closer look, his near black hair was indeed a dark green in the sunlight, eyes of steel blue, and dark skin, marred in scars. His hair was cut short, but he wore a baseball cap [which somehow held the Wreckers emblem, which was amusing to Miko] that covered it anyway. His face was framed by a large bushy beard and mustache, and he had a few wrinkles, but from smile lines. He was dressed in what many construction workers would be found in, a vest, grey t-shirt, and jeans with sturdy work boots. He looked to be at least in his early 30s, which they found quite fitting. He towered over quite a few, at 6ft 5.

Wheeljack by comparison, looked to be in his late 30s, and was dressed like a biker, a leather vest covered in various patches, his hair a dark grey and streaked with silver that complimented his ever so lightly tanned skintone , and the same steely blue eyes as Bulk. He looked beyond elated, picking up Miko and runnin aorund with her on his back as they tested out how energetic he was as a human, now that he could pick her up with less caution at all. He was only an inch shorter than Bulk at 6ft 4, which he ribbed on his friend for.

Arcee by contrast, looked so simple. Dressed in a sleeveless high neck shirt, black jeans and combat boots, what stood out most was her midnight hair with a pink underdye and her bangs framing the sides of her face fading into the iconic pink of her head pieces. Her eyes were unique, almost a pale blue-violet, with the faintest tints of pink. Her lips were painted a dark blue which stood out against her lightly tanned skin, and Arcee looked to be in her late 20s by comparison to the older men around her. She stood at 5ft 10 next to the guys, small sure but not dainty as they could tell by her physique.

Smokescreen, who to no one's surprise was also in his early 20s like Bee, was in contrast a mix of both his previous and current paint job. His hair was an almost silvery white, but streaked with faint red like Bee's black streaks, and eyes of bright aquamarine. He was dressed in a racer's jacket, white red and blue with his old number on the back, though his t-shirt by contrast was blue and yellow with his current new number on the chest. He looked to be the most excited to be human, and was 6ft 2 , towering next to Jack [who was just 5ft 10 in comparison].

Ultra Magnus was...the fitting image of a soldier in his prime years [roughly early 30s], dressed in what looked like combat ready gear, which was a stark contrast to his blue hair streaked with faint red. His eyes a silvery blue, they were still firm in their gaze as he tried to understand what had happened to them. Pale peachy skin was marked with scars of a fitting second in command however, and he stood tall, at 6ft 6 next to most of the others.

He didn’t say much, he may as well have been a statue if you asked the others, but his eyes passed over each teammate, ensuring they were alright.

Ratchet…was another story. He was outraged by this transformation-transfiguration? Whatever it was, he would like to very much be back in his own body! Standing at 6ft 3, Ratchet had white hair slicked back into a decent braid, with just the simplest streaks of red-orange in it and a well cared for red goatee. His skin was a rich warm tan tone, and his eyes were an almost green tinted aquamarine, as his eyes had never really been the same after his incident with Synth-En.

Dressed in a white lab coat and scrubs, he certainly at least looked like a doctor, which amused the kids quite a bit. At the very least he too looked his age, in his late 40s.

He however, was not at all amused.

Lastly was Optimus and Elita, who had been likewise, caught in the transformation.

Elita was beautiful, standing at 5ft 10 and in her early 40s, her pink hair had a black underdye, and complimented her rosy complexion and sapphireine eyes. She was well dressed in a dusty pink suit jacket, with a white blouse, but casual jeans and most surprising or fitting, black combat boots.

No one could say Elita did not look like a formal yet terrifying soldier.

By comparison, Optimus looked quite…different

Dressed in refined clothes almost reminiscent of a professor, Optimus looked to be almost in his 50s, wrinkles along his eyes which were a gentle cyan blue, and gently tanned skin with a few scars across his features and a well maintained beard as well. His hair in contrast, was a deep blue streaked with white and red. Standing the tallest of all, at a towering 6ft 7 above everyone else. Surprising many, he had glasses, which seemed almost fittingly still on his gentle face and features. He wore a black turtleneck, with a deep red suit jacket and dark grey slacks, as well as black dress shoes.

He looked so…so normal.

Once everything settled, they called June and Fowler, and June was quick to give a check up to everyone.

Now they just…had to figure out how they would turn back to Cybertronians.

Primus help them.

String of thoughts (primarily) about Johnny 13 and Shadow

So what’re some of the phandom’s thoughts on Johnny 13 and Shadow, anyway? I know he’s not one of the more popular members of Danny’s rogues gallery, but I sure am thinking about him right now.

I know a fairly popular theory (or at least, one I see frequently) is that Kitty and Johnny died together, likely in a car/motorcycle accident, but that leaves me wondering what Shadow is and how it ended up being attached to Johnny.

We know from the show that Shadow is either the source of or apart of Johnny’s powers, but even without Shadow nearby let alone attached to him he can still do normal ghostly things like going invisible/intangible and flying (though he still prefers his bike over regular flight anyway). They still seem to be individuals, Shadow has its own personality and doesn’t seem affected by the damage that made Johnny age in the TUE universe. Similarly, Johnny doesn’t seem too affected by Shadow getting wiped out and needing to recover unless it’s been completely dispersed like at the end of 13. And, of course, Johnny and Shadow can merge to work together as one unit, instead of two separate entities.

For some reason, Johnny doesn’t have a lot of abilities. Maybe it’s because his reason for even becoming a ghost was how harsh and sudden it was, his love for Kitty, and a desire to keep living all wrapped up into one messy reason to reform. He‘s more human than a lot of other ghosts we see, from his color palette to his ability to blend in pretty easily with human society until he chooses to reveal himself. I find his color palette the most notable, since the most inhuman elements of his design is how desaturated his skin tone is and the bright green eyes. But in comparison to other ghosts, he’s very human. His skintone that’s desaturated next to the living is still much closer than anything blue, green, or white like we frequently see in other humanoid ghosts. Kitty’s design is far more ghostly, with her green hair and skin with red eyes.

If they hadn’t died together at the same time (and became quite literal soulmates) it makes me wonder if Johnny wouldn’t have had the ability to become a ghost on his own. Or if he did, he might’ve struggled to survive. Kitty has a pretty strong ability with her banishing kiss. I am very curious about her ability to attach herself to her clothes even when in a weakened state, and if that’s a unique ability or not. Kitty acts more like a malicious entity in the series as well, she uses her kiss ability without restraint, and she’s only acted nicely to Danny when she overshadowed Paulina (which quickly stopped once she was found out) and the winter truce. Johnny, however, has a more casual personality. He acts more friendly to Danny after Lucky in Love, and doesn’t really have big aspirations for Earth or intent to cause destruction like other ghosts in the series do. Even Kitty takes over Amity briefly, with Spectra and Ember.

Johnny mostly seems to relish in his time to work on and ride his bike, admire pretty girls, and be with Kitty (when they’re not fighting). His laissez-faire attitude is very uncommon from other ghosts in the series, and I wonder about its long-term sustainability for a ghost, especially as phandom has largely categorized them. If he fell into a form of depression, it could make him fade fairly easily, as he seems to hold onto his relationship with Kitty and his ability to act freely. If his obsession is related to freedom or, (even more vaguely) experiencing life, but he’s also surviving by his attachment to Kitty, he could have a shakier existence. I also think he might be a weaker ghost, comparatively, because he’s the only ghost that really shows age in TUE. He’s noticeably older, balding pretty severely, like he’s closer to being in his late 30s-40s in appearance. Ember and Kitty still seem pretty young, maybe late 20s or early 30s, and I wonder if he’s aging more quickly because of an actual age gap they had in life or the severity of Dan’s attack making the damage to his stability much worse. This also connects back to Shadow and Johnny being separate entities, as Shadow seems largely unaffected.

Now the thoughts I had that made me intrigued about Shadow’s existence were some theories about how blob ghosts work, like they’re child ghosts or very simple ghosts without a lot of strength or identity yet. As well as some ghosts (or maybe other entities) like Cujo that get attached to things or people.

Those things made me think up two ideas about what Shadow is and why it’s attached to Johnny.

One being, after Johnny and Kitty’s arrival in the ghost zone, a simplistic blob archetype ghost takes an interest in them. Johnny’s penchant for bad luck is at least a source of entertainment for the blob, if not a form of food for it/it’s obsession/what have you. It could have either been a typical blob that acquires its obsession through this, or maybe a partially-formed or different... species(?) of blob that already knew it had an affinity for “bad luck” or sabotage/destruction. It functionally acts like something between a duckling and mutualistic or commensalistic symbiosis, where it’s sort of imprinted on Johnny and lends him its power in exchange for more opportunities to feed its own obsession, but in order to do so it has to have some form of attachment directly to him--like taking over his shadow, or maybe feeding off of Johnny’s energy or natural bad luck when it isn’t creating its own.

Another idea I had was related to Shadow’s actual function, as a cause of bad luck. It targeted Tucker at least once in 13, but largely caused a reputation for bad luck by happenstance. If it happened to target Johnny at some time in the past, or just selected an area and kept causing Johnny’s trouble with luck in its desire to create chaos, I wonder if it could’ve been related to or even caused the potential accident that ended up killing Johnny and Kitty. In that case, maybe it ended up attached to Johnny through that direct contact while they reformed into ghosts. If it’s closer to a force of nature, it would be hard to really control unless it wasn’t able to escape, or for some reason didn’t want to.

I really hope this doesn't come across as rude so if it is feel free to ignore this ask but I am curious.

I do a lot of work with makeup (just as a hobby) and I've actually gotten quite good at it, but the thing is I'm Irish so I'm pale af as are my family, and I've been wanting to try makeup for darker skin but tbh I have no idea how to do it or what the differences are (if they exist). Can I ask what your routine for doing makeup is?

not a rude question at all, i love makeup very much so this is a fun question tbh!

okay so a lot of people have different undertones/shades. it is something they didn’t know back in the day and it’s why a lotta celebs look kinda ashy/very pale.

ex:

then some ppl with darker complexions have a harder time matching a good foundation to their skin bc some brands don’t make foundation/makeup for their tones.

so i suggest color correctors. for example if a clients foundation is too yellow (which it is for many people w an olive undertone), then use a bit of blue to cancel it out.

some shades are too warm for darker skinned people and need to be neutralized. i used to think warmer foundations looked good on my until i used a bit of color correction and i got my perfect shade. And unfortunately it is liie that for a lot of girls w darker complexions.

Anothing thing is color correcting dark spots/undereyes. some ppl (aka younger me) think that using a ton of light concealer will fix hyperpigmentation/dark spots. WRONG!!!! it will just look really fucking ashy and gray. you gotta cancel it out with a peachy corrector. vid example

if u wanna use a concealer to cover spots, i suggest the nars soft matte pot concealer, but you gotta have an amazing shade match for it to look good. maybe not ideal for clients unless u get every shade and shadematch them on the spot. vid example

my absolute fav brand will forever be nars. they have amazing foundations, concealers and blushes. my fav products are: NARS light reflecting foundation and the NARS soft matte pot concealer, literally gives skin and feels so light on the skin. it’s like ur not even wesring anything even though u get a full coverage.

and i just wanna include some of my fav products 💗💗:

fav moisturizer: Embryolisse/ Weleda skin food

fav color correctors: the elf ones, they have every color u need

fav setting spray: charlotte tilbury, urban decay all nighter, both the glow and the regular matte one.

fav concealer: hourglass, nars and too faced born this way

fav blush: nars, hourglass and saie

fav setting powder: nothing beats the huda beauty one. literally nothing. huda powder plus too faced born this way concealer is a godly combo.

fav mascara: maybelline sky high or the telescopic one or the essence ones

fav bronzer: fenty/caia (amazing for darker skintones)

fav lip product: mac lip liner and fenty gloss💗 (some darker complexes need darker lipliners. try darkbrown or the shade chestnut)

How do they exactly look?Like does Dottore have a human like upper body and for the bottom part its just tentacles?Is is the same with Pantalone?Because i think it was mentioned that Pantalone has a tail as well as tentacles?(intertwining tails with reader as well as stinging reader with his tentacle)I really love your mermaid au!Since I personally love the amount of possibilities that aus like that have but I was just a bit clueless on what to exactly imagine

All of the characters resemble classic mermaids but with more aquatic features, similar to those from Twisted Wonderland. So their upper bodies have nonhuman traits such as gills, fins, sharp teeth, colorful skin markings, and unique features exclusive to their species~

Dottore would have a human upper body + octopus tentacles on his lower half, similar to Azul. He keeps his regular skintone with color markings on his face, lower arms, etc :>

Pantalone’s appearance depends on the exact jellyfish species you assign to him. Personally, I imagine him with a long translucent “tail” which resembles a jellyfish’s bell and tentacles. He also has extra tentacles attached to his back, waist, and arms :>

I know it’s hard to imagine Pantalone and even I can’t draw it. Just know that he is the most detailed, beautiful mermaid xD

I got an ask about favorite winx transformations and if my thoughts have changed at all in the last couple years that was lost to the void when my computer crashed like 3 hours ago and while I made one post about that aeons ago I don't want to go edit it again so I'm just remaking it wholesale lol. I think at this point y'all are familiar with my TakesTM so I don't need an intro, all the shit is below the cut. also this is for. all of them. like the comic ones included. also gonna provide images for them because it is all of them and most people don't know about the 9 comic ones.

*takes a look at the amount of transformations* oh god we're at 24 of these fuckers? lord. anyways we're going worst to best and honestly most of the worst ones will be the comic ones lol. Also I'm grouping MW and Charmix as Charmix Specials-style because they are just an accessory on top and the rest is the same so they will be judged together so that brings it down to 23.

23 - Paintix

This is by far the most creatively bankrupt of the transformations. Literally the exact same ugly top skirt boots combo 8 times. I have never found scans of the issue its featured in but they could have done so much more with a transformation themed around color? like c'mon here.

22 - Greenix

This one is better than Paintix for at least giving the girls different colors for more than just one (1) part but it's still the same exact dress 6 times with only minimal variation on the vines along the top, and it's sad, because this is supposed to be THE vegetation transformation as it represents the ENTIRE POWER OF LYNPHEA at your fingertips.

21 - Trendix

[IMAGE NOT FOUND]

THIS ONE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ACTUAL GRAPHICS BECAUSE IT'S FROM A BOOK but the idea is that it's just Fashion Cheatcode the transformation and only Bloom, Stella and Flora get it so it's low, but above Paintix and Greenix for cheating in a way I find funny.

20 - Magic of Sports

Okay this one isn't even a real transformation as they just get wings with their regular fútbol fits (it's from the 2014 world cup issue) but at least the girls are wearing different outfits and the wings are also different colors so it has that going over Paintix and Greenix.

19 - Magic Rock

this one's a crime. but a crime with more thought put into it than the rest, so it's higher than them. Props to them, they all have different silhouettes and there are forms higher than them that can't break that treshold, but that still is not enough. What are they wearing. what is that. Musa why are you a makeup brush. Also they use this form to beat ghosts and win a music contest. what.

18 - Tynix

I've never been shy about my dislike for Tynix, and I feel this shows it well enough lol. bullshit obtainment aside I just think it's ugly - the construction paper gems, the shitty undersuit, the clunky broken glass heels, the random ruffles, it's all bad. The wings and the hair are cool and. that's about it really.

17 - Enchantix

I've also never been shy about my utter hatred for Enchantix, so I won't really rethread old ground here, but basically I think it's bullshit overall and it's only above Tynix despite hating Enchantix more because I can begrudgingly agree some of them are pretty. Still hate they're all flowers tho that's just bad. if you removed or adjusted the extra pink and restored everyone's skintones so they're not whitewashed S8 Enchantix would kick the ass of OG Enchantix to the curve visually (except Flora's she took a downgrade)

16 - Mermaid form

Yeah I also hate this one. I just don't think it makes sense to have fairy mermaids when mermaids are already a species in Winx and when the show cannot make up its mind if being fairy is a CHOICE or if being fairy is a BIOLOGICAL CONDITION, we don't need this shit muddling things up further. Points for giving Tecna proper wings tho good for them.

16.5 - S8 Sirenix and Crystal Sirenix

I'm also throwing the two S8 Sirenix ones in this tier because I don't like them either lol. S8 Sirenix fairs better than Crystal but not by that much.

15 - Travelix

We start the area where I just think they look... fine. I like the idea of the visuals and this is a transformation that SHOULD'VE been in the show proper (really they would've made more dolls that way) but it's also not anything groundbreaking. For those curious this is the transformation granted by the Stone of Memories that allows someone to travel in time. hence me saying it should've been in the show proper lol.

14 and 13 - Sophix and Lovix (position changes)

Some of them are good! Some of them suck ass. And therefore they end here because they aren't more than just Believix, Summer and Winter editions.

12 - Butterflix

I love the Butterflix wings and hairstyles and I think it had a solid IDEA but they put TECNA in a tutu and some crimes cannot be forgiven. points for having Stella's bodice be sunbeams tho.

11 - Dreamix

I don't really care all that much for Dreamix, but it edges out Butterflix, and that's the reason for this placement. I still don't get what the netting is supposed to be but I do love the wings.

10 - Onyrix

Onyrix also only slightly edges out Dreamix - the colors are worse and the wings are bad but I find it more visually interesting than Dreamix and it gave us Blue Stella back, so it has rights on that alone.

9 - Harmonix

We're getting into the ones I'm more positive for! but half of Harmonix is gorgeous half of Harmonix is bad. LOVE the idea of the trails and it has THE best spells out of any transformation but I genuinely don't think it's a transformation SUPER fit for being underwater and given that's its purpose it kinda. falters lol. Also I don't get how the trails are meant to be like mermaid tails? Everyone says that and I just don't see it. I see them as waterfalls more than anything else really.

8 - Magic of Food

Yes. I'm ranking the food form this high. Why? Simple - it's actually. really well done? Flora and Bloom's hair is trash but they went for a weird concept and made a transformation that actually looks pretty appropiate all in all, and I know this is because it's a sponsored transformation but hey, that cash went to a good-ass look lol.

7 - Magic of Joy

LOOK AT THIS. LOOK AT IT. ENCHANTIX WISHES IT HAD THIS EFFORTLESS ELEGANT SIMPLICITY. The wings being the same is lame but they all just look so pretty AND THEY TOOK THE TIME TO MAKE SURE TECNA HAD PANTS and I have to commend that. Bless you quokkas you funky animal you, thank you for giving this to us.

6 -Cosmix

OH COSMIX I WISH I COULD LOVE YOU MORE I genuinely find it pretty for the most part and it's the best Tecna and Musa have looked in years but I just cannot forgive Stella's vagina collar. I cannot.

5 - Charmix

What even IS there to say about the OG? the very first? It's iconic all on its own but I know my love of it is mainly guided by the happy memories of watching S1 and S2 as a child. That and some of the bags are not that great.

MYTHIX HAS RIGHTS AND I STAND BY THAT. IT'S WHAT ENCHANTIX SHOULD'VE BEEN. I am a person of simple tastes, I see magic wand I go apeshit. Also peak wings no wings rival the Mythix wings if you disagree you are wrong hate the dresses if you want but you cannot argue with me about the wings. I do agree some of the shoes are ugly tho.

3 - Sirenix

Yeah I love Sirenix. I understand the complaints about it being samey but I just love it - the ribbons, the hair streaks, the fins in the legs, the fish scale pattern leggings, I just think it slaps and it being wetsuit-based is so fitting for it. Shame about the same wings tho. Also we all know Sirenix has THE best transformation song ever made and that's a FACT.

2 - Bloomix

Bloomix is, objectively, the BEST the Winx have ever looked like. you cannot beat armor, you cannot. Stella's hair is a disgrace but it was the tradeoff for Flora being freed from her shitty hair blades for ONCE in her life and it's overall really good looking.

1 - Believix

Believix is peak and always will be. The perfect blend of fairy whimsy and modern aesthetics (for the time). The wings. the song. the transformation sequence. Really the only bad is Musa's shitty aerobics instructor pants and even then that fits her so I can't be TOO mad. Believix is love Believix is life.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

Elmindreda Endymion is her full name. The first I nicked from the Wheel of Time. The second comes from greek mythology, a character associated with the moon. Mindy doesn't have explicit moon theming but as a vampire she gets honorary lunar associations

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)

Like most filmverse main characters, she is currently 15 and will age as the years go by.

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?

She is obsessed with Neville, but it's not meant to be. She is building a little harem of boys and girls who are obsessed with her, but only Merazmus stands a chance. Then there is Adelaide, her endgame, Cherise's rival.

🍕 - What is their favorite food?

She is a fairly typical vampire in that she is crazy about blood, particularly the blood of people who feel strong emotions toward her. However, she can eat cooked food, it's just not nutritious if there's no blood involved. She loves dinuguan, a Filipino blood soup the scholomance prepares.

💼 - What do they do for a living?

Student of course, though part time Schemer and Plotter. She wants to be the Duchess of Oakland and eventually the Empress of San Francisco.

She was a quiet girl who liked to read.

She loves to crack people, to figure out how they work and how they feel. She hates acknowledging that quite a lot of people don't like her.

Her favorite memory is when she met Neville one rainy day....

The breakup.

No, she used to be pale with a human skin tone. She became blue for a roleplay campaign that I made her into a villainous NPC for; see, Mindy has always been an elf, but originally for a more regular fantasy setting. In that campaign, however, elves have distinctive colorful skintones. Becoming a vampire made her colors more washed out and grey.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

Never told anyone this but Mindy was inspired by me reading a review for a gothic romance where a mentally ill woman believes she and the object of her affection are reincarnated lovers. So I thought "what if this was thuringwethil and sauron" for some insane reason. Her very first story was about her trying to corrupt some boy into being her dark lord!

She is cis and bisexual!
