Star Wars Headcanons

Delta Squad:

*Sev and Scorch constantly get into physical squabbles, but that's all it is, a squabble. They spent enough time being pitched against each other in training by Walon Vau that they have no desire to physically harm each other. Instead, they end up having slap fights, hitting each others hands until one of them gets bored and simply pushes the other over, declaring victory.

*Fixer has the largest and most diverse porn collection anyone in the galaxy has ever seen. It's categorised to perfection, and hidden behind fifteen layers of encryption. He doesn't even watch it much, he just likes being able to give the exact title of whatever saucy film Scorch is talking about and watch the look of utter disbelief on his brother's face.

*Boss 100% wears cologne. He'll deny it until he's blue in the face, no-one knows where he got it or what it's called, but every time he takes his helmet off, a warm, spicy, woody scent manifests. Boss pleads ignorance.

Scorch is ridiculously good at dejarik. No-one knows how, but every time he's at a table, he kicks the shebs of anyone he's pitted against. The Deltas have used this to their advantage to get credits in tight spots before. If asked where he learnt to play, Scorch simply shrugs and says he 'picked it up'.

Sev suffers from chronic pain in his leg. It was caused in a training accident where he broke his leg and Vau pulled him out of bacta early to carry on training. It never fully healed, and it plays up in cold weather. The others know, and sometimes Boss will slow down their pace so Sev isn't pushed too hard, though none of them will ever admit it.

Scorch is the youngest of the group and they are super protective of him, though they'll never admit it. After his accident during training where he got his name, he almost didn't make it and was left with a lot of scarring.

They took turns applying bacta and redressing his wound, with Boss even telling Vau to leave them be while he recovered, which took a lot of guts.

Summary:

Boss doesn’t expect Sev, whose armour stained with old dirt and earth and mud, to walk around the clone. Boss doesn’t expect his red splattered helmet to meet his own, or how his cold glower pierces through their visors until Boss feels it sitting underneath his skin like the murky swarms of Nal Hatta.

I don’t know how to make things right. So I’ll just keep pretending that nothing’s wrong. (you know that I’m no good)

Wherever the kid learns his moves, he’s good at it. That includes striking where healed flesh was mauled by the exploding masonry of some starship and spitting fire, fucking up Scorch’s nerves there, and Scorch finds himself in a very unfortunate position when he bowls over in pain.

“Kark,” he swears loudly, gripping onto his side, but Dogma’s already using the wall nearest to them to propel himself off it, knees tucking to his chest, face tight with the kind of determination that usually says he’s doing this to win, no matter the cause.

It’s the raw kind of single-mindedness. Boss has a feeling that he’s relatively new to it.

The force of his kick when Dogma slams his feet against his opponent’s chest is deafening, the smack of flesh against flesh downright painful, and Scorch’s thrown across the hangar with all the traits of a ragdoll.

“Shit,” Fixer hisses beside him, and Boss watches as Dogma rolls himself around until he springs to his feet, easily sliding into a fighting stance, already readying for a counterattack.

Scorch groans from where he’s on his side.

“I yield,” he wheezes out, one hand in the air, the other still curled around his ribs. “Motherkark.”

"The first inter-unit adoption was when Alpha-17's CC training squad adopted CT-7567/Rex and convinced their trainer to go along with it" is actually a common misconception.

The real first adoption was when Delta Squad's RCs adopted CC-5576-39/Gregor and got their trainer's strill attached to the younger clone so Vau didn't have a choice but to accept it.

He’s not really quick-witted or quippy, rather a deep thinker. He likes to ruminate on a concept for a good long while, then when he discusses it he has rock solid points.

Next to his own RC-1136 designation, Taler was the RC-1135 he asked after while delaying to load up post-Geonosis, and he misses his closest brother immensely.

Boss (RC-1138) was from their decant batch as well, and Fixer (RC-1140) from the next one. Thus they’re all just a little bit more well-known to each other than the other members of Omega and Delta.

Vin and Jay often haunt his mind as well. He knew the other three Thetas the longest of all the people he’s ever been on a squad with.

He’s lost a lot of people, and though he’s quiet about it, he never stops grieving.

He likes doing various mathematical calculations (like detonation yields) and so does Fi (like sniper windages), so they often play number games to pass the time.

Once he successfully wraps his mind around Corr not being a 1-to-1 replacement for Fi, he allows himself to enjoy his company more, and he’s the brother Corr gravitates to most often. They like to chat about explosions in ways that horrify everyone who hears them.

His name is a bit of morbid humor, a play on dar’manda, which can be translated in a variety of ways, none of them pleasant. (dead man, lost soul, no longer mandokarla, etc.) He stuck with it because it made Skirata uncomfortable and he thinks the sergeant should have to face the reality of the clones’ status at all times.

He likes kids even if he is not ready to be a parent himself.

The memory of meeting Etain in that glade on Qiilura is a feature of his spank bank. He’s a little sentimental and it was really pretty, okay?

He’s slightly demisexual in that he finds the people he likes more attractive as he gets to know them better.

He’s very loyal and focused, but not necessarily to one singular recipient, both romantically and in a more general sense.

He holds a grudge like nobody’s business.
