Raine collects soda tabs (self projecting lol) and now every time that Eda or Darius drinks a soda they always take off the tab and give it to them (getting a kiss in return)

Hooty loves Raine but despises Darius for absolutely no reason

Raine taught Darius bass guitar and ukulele so he could play music with them and Eda

Picnic dates. A lot

In a horror movie, Eda would laugh and call put the jumpscares, Raine would shriek and jump under the covers, and Darius would sigh and comfort them (he is also very spooked)

Raine refuses to listen to Christmas music until exactly November 24th

Darius and Eda play this game where they keep buying each other random bath and body works scents and guessing what they are with their eyes closed

They went to the fnaf movie together in different character pajamas (Eda as Chica, Darius as Foxy, and Raine as Freddy)

Sometimes they all sit down in a circle together and hold hands and hum, and Raine makes a bard spell about like harmony and love and safety and shit. They do this like every night to make them all feel safe :)

For every rose they give each other, Eda saves one petal and grows a new rose out of it in a secret little garden she has in a pocket realm <3

Raine constantly overworks themself, Eda constantly blames herself, and Darius never opens up :(

They have a code system where if one of them feels in danger but can't say anything, they'll hum a certain tune and the other(s) will try and get them out of there ASAP

I really liked the silliness of the pigeon heads so I worked more with them across another medium. I carved pigeon heads out of lino then made a little bag to print the pigeons on as I’m interested in going into fashion. As u can see this IS fashion!

Radius Project First week, 18/09/2023-22/09//2023

These are the pictures I took until now for the project.

With my group, 36b, we went to St John's Cathedral and the little Protestant Church on the other side of the road, which is surrounded by its graveyard.

When we discussed it later, we all agreed that for us, there were a few themes that needed to be explored, such as death, nature, horror, religion, time...

We were all a bit nervous the first days, but at the end of the week we were more comfortable around each other and able to talk about it easier.

I, personally, was more interested in nature, the plants, who grow even on the tombstones or the cathedral, who give some hope when you're beside such a monumental building, surrounded by death and so much history.

I look forward to the next few weeks, and discover how my project will be at the end.

Radius update.

As a group , my peers and I decided on a collection of 3D sculptures to express our ideas. We wanted to represent the people of Limerick and their inner attraction to spots of nature within the city. We hope to achieve this through a human model sitting with nature in opposition to a tree made from plastic rubbish and other waste material.

I took photos of my friend Patrick as reference for the human model. We chose the pose of him cradling his leg as we felt it best represented the vulnerability of people. I personally think it adds an intimate feeling to the piece.

I began the model using a wire frame to create an armature. I added newspaper to the armature to bulk up the model and make it more human-like.

Radius project

We are now into week 2 of the project.

The first picture is from week one, it is a brainstorm of ideas me and my peer group 36B did.

The second picture is a play on the barrier idea I am investigating. I folded up a sheet of paper and drew on it, to resemble the spire of the cathedral, and purposely put it behind the brainstorm sheet.

This idea then sparked an even bigger and better idea.

I brought in some objects from home, a bed sheet, a box and I had found some horse chestnut spikey outer layers previously while walking around the area of the cathedral the week before. I placed these in front of the brainstorm, to act as a barrier to being able to get close to it.

This has now led to what I am currently doing, which can be seen in the video and the last picture.

My lecturer Eoin McCormack helped me hang up the bed sheet on a wall and I decided to use charcoals and pastels to draw on it.I used my drawings and pictures taken of the cathedral from the previous week and put them up too.

This is the start of a collage which I'm really excited to dive into and create.

I am also researching the work of Grayson Perry, as I feel his work is a good influence for me and also similar to what I want to explore.

A collection of sketches from week one of my group project on radius. I experimented with different materials with each sketch just to see what would work best. Sketch 1 was drawn with lead pencil, sketch 2 is unfinished but used pencil and colour pencil, sketch 3 was done using pencil and pen, and the raven and sketch 4 were done using chalk.
