I got admitted into a hospital since tuesday and just got released yesterday (laugh track) #anyways about the show. theodore tugboat am I right #like I've said before it doesn't hit me as hard as thomas or TUGS #like it's not as character heavy as ttte #or as worldbuilding heavy as TUGS #but it's like.... a really fun relaxing show. super good even #I'd usually roll my eyes at overly nice protagonists but theodore is an exception. he is my friend. my pal #maybe it's just my affinity for shows with talking vehicles but erm.... robert cardonna you've done it again #the show doesn't have big explosions or bombastic events unfolding #the episodes have this very quiet and soft narration by danny doherty. no loud sounds or weird wacky silly sound effects in a bwba fashion #also everyone is nice to each other in this show which surprised me lol #because I've grown accustomed to the british-style verbal battles between sudrian engines #and the typical blink-and-you-miss-it dark comedy quips from top hat and zorran #theodore tugboat: what a peaceful day at halifax :) we talked about our problems properly and learned more about the world #TUGS: what a peaceful day at vaguely san francisco :) only 2 trampers died instead of the usual 5 #I recommend it if you want a show that's easy to digest and easy on the eyes/brain #some episodes have characters that should've been switched to make it make sense #like harbour fools or even bumper buddies #I eventually got used to it #and there's not much worldbuilding going on. not my hugest complaint since it's still a cute show #there are also a few inconsistencies here and there... not to mention the episode order that kind of confused me #the side characters haven't grown much on me but I guess it just doesn't hit me YET #it's still good. I'll give it an 8/10

bouncing theories around tonight and became possessed by the thought of meleanor's princess glow (ball of magic?) and henrik. at this point in ch7, we don't know what happened to it, if henrik actually succeeded in making off with meleanor's magic, etc.

what if he was successful. what if he did steal her magic and escaped the tragedy that befell silver's father and mother. what if it granted him an extended life due to its magical powers, WHAT IF!!! he comes back to finish what he started— to eradicate the last draconia or subjugate malleus to his will and finally rule briar valley.

what if it's up to silver at last to stop him, to bring this story full circle. henrik staring at him, fearful and shocked, of this child who looks just like the knight of dawn— a child that surely died with his useless parents hundreds of years ago.

"who are you?!" he rages at this insolent child, who raises his sword for the final, calamitous blow.

the boy merely stares at him, with those haunting, brilliant eyes, and replies, "i am my father's son."

and that is the last thing that henrik ever hears.

Y'know how people keep saying Nightmare is super old and probably has a billion hobbies he filled the time with? Do you think one of them is painting?

I wanna see him set up a little easel in his office and start painting a landscape or something, but his boys keep coming in and going "whoa, are you painting??" and then sitting down to watch. It's kind of unnerving to have an audience so he just starts casually explaining how he got started painting and what he learned and all that. The boys are absolutely transfixed and they're being so quiet it's weird, but also everybody's so calm - Killer's soul is almost still, Cross isn't standing or sitting at perfect attention for once, etc. They all want him to hang the painting up when it's done and the attention is so unexpected and strange (but not bad).

Ryuji is so anxious in the beginning of the game :( hes so caught up in his head during the kamoshida arc; makes me think hes been like that for awhile, at least until u get a bit further in the game. The rumors, the self loathing, the whole stint w kamoshida; hes got too much on his brain and its kinda nice (and a little sad) that he starts sharing those anxieties and doubts the second hes in a safe space to do so.

#chattin #ryuji #hes definitely more relaxed by the madarame arc #like he got friends and a purpose and he just bounced back immediately #but i am thinking of like. the year everything went to shit for him #like it wasnt his fault but also hes the center of all the controversy #and he went from being very popular (im SURE he was; hes called a track STAR) #to being completely alone w failing grades and a broken leg. like he had alot of time to sit and think #and all the stuff w his home life being so disruptive #like despite what the school body will say he does think before he acts #he had a grown man rile him up to make him act; he didnt just go in guns blazin #i dunno where im going w this lol. i just think he gets alot of flak for being loud and annoying #but just like w everyone else; u get to see their real personality when theyre supported and loved #and ryuji is just loud and brash and he loves w his whole heart #just like ann became super vocal and silly about so many things after u help her w shiho #All the thieves are like this. ryuji is a ball of anxiety #but its quieted down when he has real support and purpose in his life again #and its less that hes ‘quiet’ about his worries; if anything hes more vocal about it #but bc hes so vocal about it; u can see the difference between him messaging u every day worrying about kamoshida #to him going w the flow and putting more trust in u and the team #he loves them sm !!!!
