hm i have no energy to write anymore, but should i start a side blog for my card readings and ghost stories? im so estranged from life and my home, i cant get comfortable without being connected like i was before i moved, even reading cards is hard to do now.

#i just want to feel sound again but i cant seem to do that without old things around me and distance from modernization #i feel lost without my ghosts around i dont like new houses i feel so far from everything i understand #and being sick i feel even worse too #i dont even have a cemetery here i can walk to to recover #or recharge rather #lots of haunted places just not this time of year #they shut down before dark usually and i dont think they do the ghost walks #but in Lunenburg i felt great it wasnt necessarily haunted but it was all just so old and it felt right #but mike Flanagan posted the season 2 plan for mc and talked about soulmates #and thats a concept im very close to and im absolutely certain i have to find the place i was buried #it was by the sea looking west and it was prior to around 1850 but thays about all i know #that long ago that cemetery might not even be there #especially if its the canadian east coast our bodies may already be lost to the ocean #but i still have to find it somehow i believe i will some day but im missing a piece and that piece is the person i buries #or at least his coffin #i dont think he was in it. i feel like he was lost at sea and the only solice i have and the mist of any of these memories is that i died #quickly after i lost him #and yet its been 25 years and i dont know where he is in this life time and im terrified he isnt here #but that one blog post is all im holding onto to believe soemhow we'll still meet before we die #i just don't want to have such a small amount of time with him #i dont feel any of the things i do when im in a place bound to the earth #its confusing and it aches and i just want to have my instincts back #but anyway its not like i can talk about any of this without someone assuming i need medication #which i do but not for that🙃

In my opinion, it was a missed opportunity to spend episode 4 watching Obi Wan recover post- Vader fight.

(Also a bit of a headcanon- hurt or lost arms and hands of course doesn’t stop you from using the force, but it takes a bit of retraining)

hi tumblr I am, as many people are, going fucking insane over the silly little vampire man. I was encouraged to post some thoughts I had about him so uh here you go!!

Pre-vampire Astarion had a different kind of style. Different color preferences, clothing, patterns, hair.

Game era Astarion got off the nautiloid like that - which means we can assume he got taken like that - which means we can assume that’s not a style he’s chosen himself but a visual identity he’s been forced into for 200 years that he hasn’t yet found the ability to change

Even when he kills Cazador. There’s not a Shadowheart-esque moment of changing his appearance to reflect his development even though his appearance can be tied even more to the trauma he’s trying to overcome than Shadowheart’s can

Because he’s spent so long not able to be his own person. Not allowed to find his own tastes. There isn’t some identity lurking beneath the facade, waiting to break forth. Cazador broke him down, hollowed him out, made sure there was nothing except what Cazador wanted him to be

So some time post-game.. it starts slowly. He changes his hairstyle first. His family (they are still alive, they’re elves, fight me about it) tries to lay out clothes for him that used to suit his tastes but he doesn’t feel right putting them on it. It’s not the same kind of performative that Cazador demanded from him, but it feels performative all the same. He goes shopping around, he strays from anything similar to what he would have worn during the Cazador era or during his lifetime. For a while it’s anything that catches his eye, trying out whatever he realizes he likes. Sometimes it ends up a little silly. But eventually he does settle into his preferences. Finally something uniquely him, who he’s become and what he’s decided to like.

everyone understands that Will had a hard time helping El and standing up for her because he himself has trauma from being bullied his whole life and doesn't know how to fight them back, his reaction to bullying is to freeze. but suddenly no one understands it when it comes to Mike and he's just called an asshole for not being able to stand up and fight El's bullies

i'm not saying he is innocent and did nothing wrong. he could have done more and just handle the situation better but he was just too focused on Will and was in his head and being the otherthinking oblivious dumbass that he is

but just imagine your girlfriend tells you she is having a good time and has friends, she does not mention anything bad and then suddenly she's getting bullied in front of you. when you've been bullied your whole life your first reaction is to freeze, to panic and just wait and hope it passes quickly and they'll leave you alone. Mike did not have any knowledge about her bullying or having any kind of problems, as long as he was aware those people were her friends. he himself has trauma from being bullied (he literally mentions it later on why yall keep forgetting??) and being suddenly thrown into a situation involving bullying can be really distressing.

when you have experience with being bullied even just seeing someone else getting bullied can make you freeze up and panic. and we know that Mike does not stand up for himself when he's the victim. even when you're not on the receiving end of the bullying but you just see it happening and suddenly you're a scared little kid again holding back tears desperately hoping for them to leave you alone.

and i know everyone wants to yell at me "you forgot about Mike standing up to Troy when they were saying shit about Will! so he can obviously stand up for his friends so why can't he for El??" and no i did not forget and yes you may be right but the situations are different. Mike was very well aware of Troy's bullying. he was involved in it. he was the victim there. he's had to deal with his bullying for years it was not a shocking revelation. however he did not know about El's situation at all and your reaction can be very different when you know about something and when you have no knowledge and it suddenly happens

again i'm not saying that he did nothing wrong. i'm just saying that we need to consider his trauma and his point of view and it could make him think less rationally and therefore not being able to help properly. maybe if he knew beforehand that something could go wrong he could be prepared and he would handle the situation better (even if it would be just them seeing Angela and her friends come and they would turn to Mike and say quickly that those people are mean to El he would still have at least some time and could prepare himself). but he did not know that and he was not prepared for this situation to suddenly escalate like this. he was unprepared and probably panicking and didn't know what to do so no he wasn't much of a help.

and maybe we should stop acting like this traumatised 14 years old kid needs to solve every problem and act rationally in every situation and not to make any mistakes (especially when he has no knowledge to prepare him for something distressing) and overall just putting everything on his shoulders and then insult and hate him when it does not end up perfectly well

and maybe i'm just being my overprotective extremely defensive self who's looking too much into this who knows

and i can't even properly put into words what i'm trying to say but if it makes sense to someone then great!

The only things I knew about the Lost Boys going into was that my dad liked it and one time I woke up at like 2am during the scene David shows his vamp form in the tree. Adventure and a love for the outdoors RUNS in that side of the family. And while Ethan's mom doesn't go out much, she very much enjoys hikes, and she met his dad on one!

Silver.... he just wishes he could see him more without feeling... out of place? (He can tell that Silver doesn't exactly want him around, especially while he's training)

Every day, he scrolls through his contacts and gives everyone a call just to say hi!

Lyra moved in shortly after Kris left, and she quickly became Ethan's friend. The two act like hyperactive twins if anything else, and they often get the "Are you two related?" question.

Their parents get along too!! They bond over missing their old partners... though, Lyra's father just divorced.

Which, Lyra and Ethan cope together too! However, Ethan isn't as open about it.

Speaking of!!! Ethan really does NOT know how to communicate his problems or insecurities to people. He's either silent and internal about it or screaming at the top of his lungs and having an emotional meltdown.

He has too much oxytocin.... people who know about stress hormones know exactly what I'm talking about (in short, it's craving support and physical contact to help relieve stress responses).

He's DEFINITELY an extrovert (not bc he's loud. No. People genuinely motivate him and he loves to just talk)... but some of his "cheerfulness" and giggling comes from a well of anxiety. He will laugh at anything, not bc he genuinely finds it funny (if he's genuinely laughing, it's non-stop wheezing and snorting between outbursts).

He has a "everything is okay!" attitude... especially around strangers. Sometimes it's good! Other times.... yeah, it's toxic positivity!!

He doesn't want people to stress about what he's stressed about! (So, he's anxious about his anxiety)

But on a side note, his mental health is usually great! But there are times when he's just not.

He often turns to exploring, helping others, and comfort foods whenever he's stressed... this happened a lot at the end of his journey and when he was champion (which was NOT a great time. But i want to make smth for that later.)

This kid suffers compassion fatigue from time to time!!! Especially when he's helping multiple strangers!! His friends are usually good about not asking for a bunch of stuff from him

He also has vocal ones like squeaking or speaking in a high (and quiet) voice like "woo!" or anything like that! He also loves to hum (not as much as Lyra though)

Also, he can't sit still in a chair... it's a short person with ADHD thing (im projecting SHHHH!!!) (Also we are the same height I HATE IT HERE (<- 7 years older than him))

He uses tactile toys because he can't keep his hands to himself and he loves them!!

He loves to hug!!! Hugs!!!

Sometimes he can't shut up while other times he's uncharacteristically quiet.... it's usually because he's just observing other people or his head is in the clouds.

He loves flowery scents but fruity ones overstimulate him

He hates grainy and stringy foods. He HATES oranges (but not the juice)

He is not a gamer. He SUCKS at them!! But, he's great with casual games like Animal Crossing (stress free!!)

On quiet days, he's usually sitting outside enjoying the breeze

He has suffered humiliation due to how gullible he is! But that was earlier on his journey, he's smarter now!

A lot of his team provides emotional support!!! More on that in a future post!

He can play the guitar!! Camp songs!! And calloused hands...

the thing about una questione privata is milton spends every moment after he goes to the house the first time running around non-stop, not slowing down once, racing against the clock to try and get to giorgio, getting steadily more desperate, and then what happens!! giorgio dies anyway!! and he just ends up right back at the house again!! it's a cycle he can't get out of he's trapped!!

#very incoherent rant about my week in the tags; sorry for incoherence i hit my head earlier so b s #im just. so d o n e with this week. 100000% done i say. #on monday i was late to work by 20 minutes and had to stay behind for half an hour to make up for it bc the app we use to clock in suuuucks #and i also found out that i lost $40 of my salary bc of said clocking in app which. suuuuuuuuuuucks #though. this week had a weirdly low number of samples. which was. kinda nice ig since i managed to finish all my work before 7pm… but still. #like we managed to finish our stuff so quickly that we managed to watch bee movie together on tuesday……… #mmmmmm i don’t remember much about what happened on wednesday though….. #but yesterday. oh g o d . yesterday. thursday. whateverday. g o d. #so the software to operate one of the [lab equipment] machines kept crashing everytime we tried to print results #regardless of whether there were any samples being tested with said machine at the moment. which. y’know #sucks on its own. but it also means that the tested sample had to be reweighed and every sample that came after it had to be reentered again #which was a m a j o r pain in the behind. #so like. after i reran the sample post-first software crash… the boss’s favourite employee freakin’ remote-accessed the computer and #he did the results thing. and crashed the software. while a sample was being analysed. and the entire monitor!!! went!!!! dark!!!! when he!! #so. i ‘calmly’ and ‘rationally’ rushed out to the office area to give him a piece of my mind. #which. may or may not have involved screaming at him and slapping him. it’s too bad that i slapped him so loudly that our boss heard/saw it… #but. um. she didn’t call me out to screech at me in return. she sent him into the lab area to settle his thing himself in fact. so. hm. #i guess i’m able to keep my job for another week. maybe. #it didn’t stop my coworkers from making fun of me for slapping the guy though so b s #anyways ig i got my just desserts today bc i walked straight into the side of the door of an in-workplace bathroom stall at full force #and i think i bruised the side of my head… what goes around comes around ig…… #idek what i’m even typing anymore i blame my head hurty for this #inedible blubbering
