Omg hi!!! I found your ineffable streamer au like 20 minutes ago and have been BINGING it all. I literally love it so much. And I was wondering, what do other characters do in this au? Are they also streamers? I have been obsessed with beelzebub and Gabriel recently and am still not over them.

yessssss. so. i'm not sure if all of these will be mentioned in my fic, but i've planned them out just in case. this got long, so im folding it up to save the dash

quick precursor for everyone less familiar with twitch culture, a Stream Team is just as it sounds: a group of streamers on the same "team", usually for promotional purposes (your team is listed on your channel, and shows all the other channels in that team). sometimes it's just a group of friends who want to have a name and banner, sometimes they're more professionally put together, with collaborations and promotional opportunities for their members.

crowley used to be a member of The Demons, a casual stream team of chaotic, slightly toxic friends. current Demons include beelzebub, shax, and furfur (amongst others). aside from beelzebub, crowley can't stand any of them now and does his best to ignore/avoid them. he'd much rather stream independently than tie himself to a team and all its inevitable politics and drama.

a team that's more explicitly mentioned in my fic is The Dark Council, a professional-level team of variety streamers. socials are run by dagon, and fufur is ITCHING to be noticed by them.

gabriel is a bit of a work in progress for me. i think he's aziraphale and crowley's partner manager (basically twitch staff, managers are liasons between the company and the contracted streamers, who will answer questions and assist them with promotion, account issues, taxes, irl events etc).

i'm toying with the idea of his dual identities being tied to his twitch account: IRL he is Jim, a chill guy who is new to the whole world of streaming, but has years of excellent pr/marketing experience. he doesn't really know anyone yet and is still trying to prove himself as a new staff member, so he slips into a bit of a fake-it-till-you-make-it mask of confidence when he's working, speaking more brashly, typing more professionally differently in work emails, getting right to business. aziraphale likes him because he knows he's sweet enough underneath it all, while crowley calls him gabriel as a joke because his username is SupremeArchangel -- so it takes forever for anyone to click that he and aziraphale have the same manager.

ooh and they've been mentioned in other posts here and there, but to keep it all in one place: nina and anathema are crowley's mods, and i think anathema streams games and tarot readings for fun here and there. newt and maggie are aziraphale's mods-- newt yearns to be a streamer and he tries often enough, but always runs into some kind of issue where he locks himself out of his vods or his audio desyncs halfway through. i like to imagine that aziraphale has many mods like tracy as well, just a big rotation of people who pop in to help whenever they can.

About prev reblogs: I have never seen TME used to complain about & demarcate cis men's behaviours.

Despite the term ostensibly lumping together *almost any gender configuration that isn't binarily trans woman*, the only times it's used recently is to complain about (trans) ppl that get lumped in with cis women (as intersex ppl trans or otherwise are *never* factored into this dichotomy anyways), including cis women themselves.

I have never once seen it used to delineate trans women from cis men, even as it gets used to delineate cis women's experiences from trans women's experiences. I have only seen /haphazard/ acknowledgement of non-binary experiences included in TMA, but only really as an afterthought or when it's framed as the precursor to 'fully realizing trans womanhood'. I've only seen intersex folks brought up if they elect to use the terms TME/TMA for themselves, with bizarro interrogations into 'how' they were raised/had their genitals 'corrected' only once they individually disagreed with the terminology or had a confounding opinion in a public discussion.

It is regularly used to delineate trans men from trans women; but its users almost uniformly deride any attempt by trans men to coin a term to describe their own unique combinatory transphobia that isn't TME; again despite TME literally just supposing to mean 'transmisogyny-exempt'.... so why would it be used to discuss trans men's *unique* experiences with hatred directed at the fact that they either "are/aren't (real) men" by anyone who wants them to suffer?

It's been *changed* into hastily recycled AGAB terminology bc of wider recognition of the flaws with /that/ but without the driving flaws of that **tool for analysis** ever being fully addressed; and therefore has gotten subsumed into the 'new euphemism' for the Innie vs Outie false dichotomy as its usage became more widespread.

I think it still is a useful discussion tool ONLY when it's viewed *as a tool* and not some inherent marker of identity. It is DEFINITELY just bigotry when used as a NOUN that has negative behaviours ascribed to it, esp in the context of complaining about trans men** as a whole homogenized group, instead of highlighting individual behaviours/belief systems for the harm they contribute to against TMA trans/nb ppl.

Young queers really need to stop swallowing the tradcath radfem juice of "Women Pure + Good & Men Bad + Evil" [**that tumblr feminism has always had a problem with] and acting like you aren't being a transphobic shitheel by adding the word Trans in front of it-- & This is ESPECIALLY a problem when non-trans "Allies" do this, as it sets up trans women for failure whenever they make a mistake/can be reframed as 'being a cause-traitor' since women are punished more harshly for any percieved failure of Righteousness, AND allows them further to enact their unbridled transphobia onto trans men (& enbys/genderqweirdos) and pass it off as 'being an ally to trans women'..... despite them just being extremely transphobic (+ misogynistic + homphobic + intersexist) & then hiding behind """"TMAs"""" as a negative PR meatshield.

TL;DR if you are using TME to mean (nc)AFAB in vent posts, just have the guts to fucking use that as the word & see how it reads then.

(**since transmasc & transfem do not imply either a 'starting' or 'finalized' gender state; they are personal adjectives in and of themselves. Please do not warp them into new innie vs outie binary divides).

Yeah I totally agree with your statement on the standing of the BrF after this. The conspiracy theories were bad but the amplification of people’s remarks and jokes and everything was because the original statement (and briefings afterwards) stated 1.) it was non-cancerous and 2.) any updates/ changes would be shared. When the noncancerous confirmations spread (and the Pr team confirmed this again about 2 days ago on a nbc article after people were speculating about her health post pap walk) and updates at peak hysteria were not shared. I totally understand needing to take time for the family but yeah, looking back on this, idk if time will be kind to the sheer panic coming from the palace and the complete comms failure. And how this might be a precursor for how William and Kate’s comms and Pr could be as monarchs.

Gi, please enjoy this analysis of why RBR replacing Nyck De Vries with Daniel Ricciardo would be a shit move in every way possible.

It defeats the purpose of Daniel's hiatus (sorry if that word triggers 1D stans). He took the time off to recuperate his mental health, and he's doing really well. Dropping him back into the thick of things mid-season when he hasn't been in a Redbull powered car in years is a recipe for disaster. Also, who else will elevate Redbull's PR status (it's not Christian Horner, I'll tell you that).

This is an obvious one. It screws Nyck De Vries out of a seat and taints the rest of his career. It's been 5 races. Nyck has only driven Mercedes-powered cars and has been integrated into the Merc machine for years. It takes time to adjust.

What about Liam Lawson? What about your ACTUAL junior driver who you've forgotten exists and would very much like a chance at an F1 seat? Maybe you should try developing that talent instead of replacing him with a driver that voluntarily left your organization? Like, does loyalty count for nothing at Redbull?

Even if Daniel takes the Alphatauri seat, do you think he'd be satisfied on the B-team? Would he be satisfied in a sub-par car with no championship aspirations? What would team dynamics look like? Would he or Yuki be the first driver on that team?

Lastly, because Helmut Marko is Helmut Marko, would putting Daniel in the Alphatauri just be a precursor to moving him back to Redbull to take over Checo's seat? I feel like they'd put him in a Alphatauri and if Daniel performs well, they'd use that as an excuse of remove Checo because A) Redbull is racist, B) Daniel has a much better working relationship with Max than Checo and C) It fufills Horner's homoerotic wet dreams. Consequently, this move could end up screwing over Checo as well.

So yeah, I really hope Daniel doesn't go to Alphatauri right now.

I generally don't do this but this take is so on point..It sort of gives a precursor to who Danneel Ackles is as a person and why the Ackles's hid about the prequel from Jared. It was deliberate and they have no problem lying to someone about something. It was malicious and part of their nature..the whole thing about a PR leak is a lie.

Some people may call it a minor thing but tells you a lot about who a person is and their everyday conduct. Everything we have since learnt about her just goes to affirm how shady she is & Jensen by association is just as shady. Clearly, it is now even being reflected in his actions the more time he spends with her.

Reasons why this eviction bothers only Euginie and Andrew- 1. Both of them are not working royals. Any precedent set for Harkles will apply to both. 2. Edward Sophie and Anne are working royals. That status will protect them irrespective of any changes made. 3. It can be a precursor of o bigger changes in monarchy such as Titles and HRH. 4. Andy and Eugenie will be most affected after Harkles. So theNew has titles and money from husband. Other working royals protected. So they are PR warpath.

That's my guess too - Andrew and Eugenie are pretty much the only ones to "lose" anything here. Beatrice, stands to lose all the same but she seems perfectly content to step up to help her uncle when needed and then go back to her private life as a mum, step-mum, her private day job, and wife of a very wealthy man.

I think Beatrice is taking the "path of least resistance" and being like "Well, I'll take the perks when and if they come and I'll be the reliable one" whereas Andrew seems to be trying to force his brother to give him the outcome he wants.

Eugenie, for her part, I don't think necessarily is pushing for anything - but she's certainly made it clear that she's loyal to her father and the Sussexes.

That's not to say that I think Beatrice is 100% Team Charles and is against her father or even the Sussexes - I think she's just playing a more strategic game. (Which is fitting since her day job is literally the VP of Strategic Partnerships... seems she's pretty good at it!)

Tonight was a classic example of why Scott hated PR events. Nearly everybody was fake – letting expensive labels speak for them or sucking up in the hopes of a power grab – and there were eyes everywhere. There was no escape.

And it should have been easier because at least this time he’d had an ally in the room, only they couldn’t be seen to be talking because the press were already sniffing around and they both knew that their relationship would be a big conversation.

Scott was determined to keep it private for as long as possible. He’d been through this before. Every time the tabloid headlines proved too much for his partners and the relationship inevitably crashed and burned. He refused to let it happen again. Not this time. Especially not when he’d really started to fall for a certain person.

“Are you still sulking?” Tycho discarded his suit jacket as though it were a used tissue rather than a very expensive example of Italian tailoring. “Because if anyone has the right to sulk, it’s me. I had to watch a lot of very pretty women flirting with my boyfriend.”

It was a relief to be home. Scott finally let the tension drain from his shoulders as he glanced at Tycho over the kitchen island. Tycho flopped grandly onto the couch and offered him a sunny smile which proved that he wasn’t truly annoyed. If anything, there was a hint of concern in his eyes.

“Five hours,” Scott complained. It was possible that he was being a little overdramatic. “Five hours of corporate bullshit. Do you know what’s even worse? I had to flirt back. Just for appearances’ sake. Because the PR team say I have an image to maintain.”

“Business is better when the CEO is hot and single.”

“Yay,” he deadpanned. “So, I have to pretend to be perpetually single. Great.”

Tycho leaned back against the couch with a fond smile. “I feel like you’re focussing on the wrong part. Take it as a compliment.”

“Nah, Scotty’s crap at that,” Gordon piped up, seemingly materialising out of thin air. It was approaching one in the morning, so there was no reason for him to be in the pool, but he had a yellow towel slung around his shoulders and was steadily dripping water onto the floorboards.

Tycho jumped. “How many times do we have to discuss this? Stop sneaking up on me.”

Gordon’s grin was full of teeth. “It’s an initiation process. When you get used to it, you’re officially a part of the family.”

“Do I want to be? Seems like a nightmare.”

“Oh, yeah, it totally is,” Gordon confirmed. “But dating Scooter means you get all of us too. It’s a joint package. It’s great fun! Just wait until John does creepy shit like randomly appearing above the holoprojector in your room at five in the morning.”

“Gordon,” Scott sighed.

Tycho raised a brow. “John’s going to do what now?”

“John is not going to do anything,” Scott cut in with a meaningful glare at the nearest projector.

Even if their Eye in the Sky wasn’t awake, EOS would undoubtedly pass the message along. It was bad enough dealing with his planet-based siblings, let alone John’s various schemes. The second his family had realised he was actually serious about this relationship, they’d taken it upon themselves to check if Tycho was suitable, to quote. It was funny right up until Kayo’s overprotective streak had made an appearance. Tycho probably still had nightmares.

Gordon sidled across the floor, then whispered something to Tycho. Scott knew that distinctly mischievous grin. He knew it all too well. It was always the precursor to trouble. It was made so much worse by the way Tycho’s face lit up with a slowly dawning smile.

Scott eyed them suspiciously “What?”

“Nothing,” Gordon sing songed. “I’m just… you know. Catching up. Becoming besties. Reminding Tycho of the way you become a flustered mess whenever someone you genuinely like flirts with you.”

Scott stared at him for a long moment. “That’s such crap. And why are you even here? Go to bed and stop bothering us.”

“Uh huh. Okay. Sure.” Gordon made no attempt to move. “You are the worst at taking compliments.”

“I am not-” Scott took a steadying breath. “I get compliments all the time. Such as this evening.”

“Nope. Doesn’t count. I’m talking about genuine compliments.”

“Shut up, Gordon.”

“No, no.” Tycho had a wicked grin on his face. “Keep going.”

Gordon let out a delighted laugh. “Oh, really? Well then. Scott will have, like, an actual meltdown if you tell him-”

“Gordon, I swear to God, I’m gonna disinherit you. I’ll do it. Just one more word and I’ll call my lawyer.”

“Do it, I dare you.”

“You think I’m bluffing?”

“I think you’ll turn the same shade as Three if Tycho says you did a good job tonight.”

The situation was swiftly spiralling out of control. Scott let out a loud, obviously fake laugh and tried to play it off as casual. He glared at Gordon, trying to communicate an increasingly desperate hope for him to leave, because sure, maybe this was hilarious to the squid, but Scott kind of wanted to sink through the floor and maybe burn up in the Earth’s mantle right now.

It was made worse by the way Tycho’s smile faltered as he glimpsed Scott’s genuine unease. “Wait. This isn’t just a joke?”

“Can we not… not do this?” Scott gripped the edge of the counter until his knuckles paled. His voice sounded horribly strained even to his own ears. “I’m sure it’s really funny, but I think I lost my sense of humour about three hours ago. So. Can we just… not?”

Gordon’s amusement faded. “I didn’t mean-”

“I don’t care what you meant, Gordon.” Scott cursed the hint of betrayal which had crept into his tone. He snatched his discarded jacket from the counter and shouldered past his brother which hadn’t been his best idea to date given Gordon was still soaking wet. “It’s late. I’m going to bed. I’ll see you in the morning.”

“Scott,” Tycho called, voice pitched with honest concern.

“Scooter? C’mon, I was just joking around. I didn’t mean it seriously.” Gordon’s bare feet smacked against the floorboards as he broke into a jog to catch up. “Hey, Scott! Jeez, would you wait up for a second?”

“What?” Scott whirled on him. Gordon’s eyes widened as the shout faded in the dark corridor. For all the times he’d driven Scott up the wall, it was still rare for him to actually snap. “What is it now?”

Gordon hesitated. “I just wanted to-”

“Wanted to what? Make another joke? At my expense? Jokes are supposed to be funny. I don’t know, maybe you do find it funny. It’s hilarious that I can’t take compliments because the only time anyone gives me one is when they want something from me. Go ahead and laugh. But I’ve had a shit evening so I’m having a few problems seeing the humour in it.”

The silence dragged on for a painfully long minute.

“You never told me that,” Gordon whispered.

“Then congrats. Now you know.”

Scott wasn’t angry as such – mostly just hurt because Gordon’s jokes rarely crossed the line into downright cruel – and so still experienced a rush of regret because his little brother looked as though he’d been slapped.

“Get some sleep, Gords,” he muttered, more softly this time. “It’s okay.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I know.”

“No, Scott, really. I’m sorry.”

“Yeah, bud,” he sighed. “I know you are.”

“Are we okay?”

“Are we…? Of course we are.” He shook his head at the sight of Gordon’s relieved smile. “Dumbass.”

What might not have been alright was his relationship, but that was an issue he didn’t want to consider until he’d slept for a few hours. He retreated to his room and finally changed out of the cursed suit. He was still trying to coax creases out of the jacket when the door closed and he sensed another’s presence in the room. He didn’t need to turn around to know who it was.

“I considered giving you some space,” Tycho began cautiously, “But then I couldn’t help myself.” There was something unbearably gentle in his voice. “I’m sorry.”

“Why?” Scott didn’t look up from the jacket. He’d crumpled more creases into the fabric by curling his fists in it but he didn’t know how else to control the wealth of feeling in his chest. “You didn’t do anything wrong. Gordon poked at a subject he knows I’m uncomfortable with, that’s all.”

He could sense Tycho standing just a few feet away, uncertain as to how to proceed. It was the wrong side of too late to even think anymore, but Scott was reluctant to postpone this conversation until tomorrow. He’d done this before. He knew how it went.

People liked the idea of him – the persona carefully curated for the public – but fled as soon as they glimpsed the broken pieces beneath the mask. But he hated how much it was going to hurt this time. It was almost enough to make him turn around and pretend that there’d been no harm done, that it had just been an overreaction on his half, anything to give him just a few more hours of being loved.

“If you want to leave,” he said heavily, “I won’t hold it against you.”

Tycho visibly double took. “Sorry, what? Why would I want to…? I’m very confused right now, which is rare for me. What is this? What are you doing?”

“I’m giving you an easy out. I won’t judge you for taking it.”

“I don’t want out. I want you. I’ve made that very clear over the past couple of months.”

“Yeah, well.” Scott still couldn’t look at him. “Everyone wants me until they realise- I’m not easy to love. I get that. There’s always a point when people recognise that I’m more than they signed up for. And they leave. So, if you’re going to do that, I’d rather you did so now, because it’s already gonna hurt like hell and it’ll only get worse the longer you stay.”

“Scott.”

“I’m not going to do… this. Just- Okay, it’s late, so don’t leave, but there’s a spare room down the hall. I can drop you home tomorrow.”

“Would you let me get a word in edgeways?” Tycho’s fond exasperation was tainted by concern. He stepped closer to brush a hand against Scott’s arm. “It’s very easy to love you. It’s a little harder to know you, I’ll admit that, but only because you’re constantly trying to keep from letting anyone in. But loving you? That’s not a challenge.”

Scott searched for his voice and found only a pathetically small croak. “Okay.”

Tycho’s tiny huff suggested that he was trying to hold back a laugh. “Okay?”

“Yeah. I mean… I don’t know what to say to that.”

“Look at me?” Tycho’s murmur seemed so very loud in their silent room. And that thought in itself was a rush because when had his become theirs? “Please?”

Scott finally dropped the jacket onto the chair and twisted to face him. He was hyperaware of his own heartbeat – frantic with fear because vulnerability was so much worse than a dangerous rescue – and the burn behind his eyes. Tycho took a final step closer, running a hand up his arm to cradle his face – no judgement, just pure affection – and he wasn’t sure what to do with that acceptance.

“This entire time,” Tycho continued softly, “I’ve been worried that you’ll call this off. Because the first time we met, you were risking your life for mine. How can I possibly match up to that? If you look up hero in the dictionary, you’ll find your name beside it. Now, me? I have ideas. Fantastic, revolutionary ideas. But I’m not selfless. I don’t pretend to be. So, it baffles me that out of the two of us, you’re the one who believes he’s difficult to love.”

Scott lowered his forehead to Tycho’s shoulder. Fingers curled around the nape of his neck, easing away tension, moving to run through his hair. He exhaled shakily and let himself be held.

“You’re clever. You’re compassionate. You’re remarkable. I could go on for hours.” Tycho’s smile was audible in his voice as he added, “Oh, and by the way? You did a great job tonight.”

Scott swatted him half-heartedly. “Shut up.”

“You know I had to say it.”

“Hmm.”

“I love you,” Tycho promised. “And I’m not going anywhere. Even if your brothers do try to give me the shovel talk every time I visit.”

“Oh, god.”

“Alan’s the worst offender which makes it harder because I always want to laugh. He’s just not intimidating in the slightest. That being said, I do agree with them. If I hurt you at all, I will happily hand myself over so that Kayo can complete her oddly specific list of threats.”

Scott gave a tired laugh. “They mean well.”

Tycho shot him an affectionate smile. “I know they do. They love you. And so do I.”

Some are speculating that Justin trolled through his Dad's account. Many also believe that this is a repeat of pumpkin gate. That Elsa posted pumpkins and that confirmed the "relationship", now Justin Dad's post is a precursor to the engagement confirmation. Anything is possible at this point. I have never believed they are a real couple but I also don't believe they are above confirming a fake engagement to push a narrative until the contract ends.

Thissss! I also strictly believe it is PR but who knows what was agreed on? If a fake engagement was part of the deal they will do it whether fans like it or not. Chris or no other party is above the deal to back out because they are getting heat from their fans.

I use to love the Jay and Ben bond but I feel like so much has happened that it’s kind of lost its spark a bit. I feel like if Ben wasn’t going through what he is and was a little bit more enthusiastic I would be on board with it, but I definitely feel like he is about to get even worse with Jay living there. His control was taken again by choosing other peoples needs above his own feelings so today just didn’t feel very Brotherly love more so just a precursor to what’s about to go down which I don’t think it’s gonna be good. Add on to the fact that Ben is just gonna feel like his feelings don’t matter because he’s watching somebody grieving their wife that they just lost he’s bound to get bad and I’m more worried that Jay is going to think he’s inadequate to raise Lexi and that’s the whole reason they gave Jay PR.

i guess i understand this but i personally only choose to accept the canon that i want to accept so any time ben and jay butt heads i just let it wash over me and don’t dwell on that because i know that’s not really them and they’re just doing that for plot

i was going through A Time when reputation came out and i ate that shit up because, admittedly, there was a lot i didn't know/understand yet and my music taste wasn't as varied as i thought. but looking back on it, it's okay sonically and she has some good runs, but i don't see it as this epic comeback album. it's just another taylor album. then she puts out lover and that's pretty okay, but then she puts out back to back albums (and the worst song no one liked on lover was the precursor apparently, which says a lot) of songs that all sound vaguely the same and just aren't great lyrically, and she's constantly re-releasing songs and now has midnights and it's like lady, pls, just stop. give people time to breathe. you're cramming all this into a clearly packed schedule because you wanted it to line up with your themed tour, but now you just look opportunistic and desperate, and you're even more annoying.

taylor swift has never handled a pr incident well in her entire career because her strategy is to just bury whatever story comes out and ignore it so it goes away. then later it was to deflect and shift blame before ignoring it completely. neither is a good look and just makes people who already don't like her dislike her even more. like. you're not winning anyone new over with that attitude and approach to wrongdoing. if you were so great and awesome you would, like, accept accountability and do better? it's not hard and, if anything, HELPS her image because she's being honest, transparent, and responsible. THAT'S what a good role model for young girls does. not whatever this fucking shit is.

Yes, I know which one you are talking about. I had it at the end of January or in the beginning of February. I actually saw something would be exposed about her and she is scared about it. I have never shared the details of what might get exposed. I have shared it with some of my friends but not on my blog. It is something I suspect would be disturbing and it might be something that happened years ago. It is not something about her having a bf during her pr with Chris. That's not explosive or head turning. It is something else and it has to do something with her past.
