Victoria’s legendary/mythical Pokémons.

Throughout her years of traveling and researching, Victoria had meet way to many legendaries/mythical pokemon for her to consider it to me normal, she stopped questioned it soon. Though she released most of them so they can go back to their natural habitat, some decided to stay…

Diancie

"Diancie isn't a pushover, so don't you dare mess with it or else you'll regret it."

Moves: Diamond storm, Moonblast, Iron defense, Power gem.

Ability: Clear body

Victoria was just trying to take photos of some Carbinks so she could surprise professor Sycamore when she saw Diancie being chased by a group of pokemon hunters.

After saving it, Diancie refused to leave Victoria's side, scared that the hunters will come back. Victoria allow it to stick nearby until she can capture a photo of some Carbinks. But after that was finish and Victoria tried to leave, Diancie still won't leave Victoria.

After some time of being conflicted, Victoria asked to capture Diancie to kept it safe from other pokemon hunters. Diancie agreed and was happily caught by Victoria, though the girl did notice it bringing a weirdly familiar stone after it was caught. Let's just say the Carbinks photos are not the only thing that surprises professor Sycamore that day.

Diancie is a very nice and princess like to the rest of the pokemons, but that doesn't mean it's a pushover. Victoria had taught it how to toughen up and allow it to spam Diamond storm if it ever find itself in a situation where some shady people was forcing it to make diamonds.

Diancie can also talk with other people with its telepathy, making it a bridge between the NRC students and pokemon after Victoria relaxed and began to have it out more often.

Zamazenta

"Thank you for helping me guard Ramshackle, Zamazenta. Now come here so I can brush your hair."

Moves: Iron head (Behemoth bash), Focus blast, Ice fang, Protect.

Ability: Dauntless Shield.

When chairman Rose release Eternatus much to Victoria's unamusement, Zamazenta along with its partner Zacian helped her and Hop stop it before leaving. Victoria thought everything was done until two weird guys with weird hair came in and ruin everything (seriously why do people always think it's ok to mess with legendaries).

After defeating a rampaging Zacian, Victoria was surprised that Zamazenta challenged her because usually the other legendaries only challenged her so she can borrow their power to fix something, but the issue has already fixed, does this means that it challenged her because it wants her to be its trainer? After Hop capture Zacian, Victoria decided to keep Zamazenta with her.

A gentle old soul that watches over her pokemons like a protector, Zamazenta will often herd Victoria's pokemons to their respective enclosure after dark, Victoria found it's oddly adorable with the way it nudges her Foongus with its nose back to its safe spot. Victoria will still pamper it even when it's a legendary pokemon, its favorite thing to do is have Victoria brush its very long fur.

It tolerates Crewel with his dog obsession.

Shaymin

"Shaymin? SHAYMIN!? WHERE ARE YOU?! NOT AGAIN!!"

Moves: Air slash, Seed flare, Dazzling gleam, Tail wind.

Ability: Natural Cure (land forme), Serene Grace (sky forme)

It all happened when Victoria was at a Gracidea meadow to study and collect them to sent back to her parents when she met a land form Shaymin who didn't follow the other Shaymins who are in their sky form that are migrating elsewhere.

She thought something was wrong with the pokemon so she bought it to nurse Joy to check it, thankfully it isn't hurt and it turns out that Shaymin just doesn't want to go with its herd anymore. The Shaymin lingers with Victoria instead and after a while, she caught it.

Shaymin is a cunning one despite its petite and innocent looks, it loves playing small pranks on the pokemon around it and even the trainer herself, but it usually apologize by nuzzling the people it teases.

Shaymin sometimes loves to escape from its home to explore nearby areas, thinking that Victoria could find it later on but forgetting that its small land form makes it hard to look for it, not to mention its green fur that matches the grass makes it even harder to look for.

Victoria swore Shaymin will give her gray hair before any of the end of the world scenarios does.

Ogerpon (female)

spoiler for the teal mask DLC so beware.

"I'm not sure that I can be better than your last partner, but I promise I will do my best to take care of you."

Moves: Ivy cudgel, Spikey shield, Superpower, Rock tomb.

Ability: Defiant (Teal Mask), Water Absorb (Wellspring Mask), Mold Breaker (Hearthflame Mask), Sturdy (Cornerstone Mask)

Befriending it in Kitakami village, Victoria found its story very sad. What do you mean its old partner was not only taken away by the Loyal Three (or Lousy three now that Carmine force her to say), but the village also isolate it because of a misunderstanding.

After getting back Ogerpon's three mask, Victoria was surprised when Kieran challenged her for Ogerpon's ownership. She tried to talk some sense into the boy, saying that Ogerpon belonged to no one and that she can choose who her trainer is, but Kieran doesn't listen, so with no choice, Victoria battled him for Ogerpon's freedom.

She's even more surprise when after she won, Ogerpon chose her to be its trainer. Although she felt quite guilty for Kieran, she can't take back her words of letting Ogerpon chose its own trainer so she caught it (with a friend ball of course).

The embodiment of a sunshine child, Ogerpon is always happy to be around people, she tries her best to cheer them up whenever they're sad. But she will also not hesitate to fight if her friends and trainers are hurt, she lost someone she cared before, she will not lose them again. Very powerful in battle with her intelligence and flexibility, Victoria utilized the masks she had a lot, Victoria also make sure to clean the masks frequently.

Miraidon

Minor pokemon violet spoiler.

"WAIT NO, MIRAIDON! BAD DRAGON! THE SANDWHICH ISN'T FINISHED-"

Moves: Electro drift, Parabolic charge, Draco meteor, Charge.

Ability: Hadron engine.

Saving it on the shore of a beach in Paldea with a sandwhich, Victoria has now officially adopt a dragon motorcycle-

After the whole ordeal with professor Turo, Victoria kept Miraidon as a promise to take care of it to the AI professor. Now Miraidon is her main ride pokemon, it can run fast, run on water, climb mountains, fly- so Victoria pampers it alot, to the point where it becomes kinda spoil.

Unfortunately, Miraidon is quite a glutton, especially for sandwiches, it sometimes gets impatient and snatches the unfinished sandwhich that Victoria is making for it, making the trainer had to do a round tug of war to get the sandwhich back.

Because Victoria doesn't travel much anymore when she got to Twisted wonderland, Miraidon will be usually seen lazing around and sun bathe alone outside of Ramshackle, sometimes it will hang out with the other pokemon, but it prefers to be by itself most of the time.

Doesn't really like fighting and engaging in combat so it prefers to stay on the side, but if it is put in a dead end or saw that its trainer got hurt, p r a y.

Still very affectionate towards people, it will lick the people it likes and covered them with its spit. Gross, but adorable.

Meloetta

"Thank you for calming the pokemon down in these times, Meloetta."

Moves: Relic song, Close combat, Psyshock, Disarming voice.

Ability: Serene Grace.

While Victoria was traveling, she found a Meloetta getting captured by shady people, it was struggling so she saved it right away.

Victoria is aware of the power that Meloetta hold and understand why it was being hunted, so after she treated its wounds, she decided to contact some pokemon rangers to retrieve it to safety.

The pokemon ranger told her to head to their base but it's quite a long way, so for a while, Victoria and Meloetta travel together. Meloetta can sense the stress that Victoria has while dealing with team Plasma at the time, so it would sing to calm her down.

When they got to the pokemon ranger's base, Meloetta is completely attached to Victoria. The ranger that had call her told her that maybe she should kept it safe instead because of how attached Meloetta is to her during their journey.

Like Diancie, Meloetta is trained to protect itself by Victoria as she doesn't want to restrict its freedom, especially when it likes to sing to people and pokemon that are in distress to calm them down.

When Victoria got transported to Twisted wonderland, she and her pokemon became more stressed in this new environment, so Meloetta took the task of relaxing them with its song.

Is often seen with Victoria's Primarina having a duet, the two of them seem to get along well.

Meloetta doesn't resort to fighting when in a conflict, so it would usually sing to calm the oppnent down or run away by turning invisible.

For some reason, my ADHD brain decided to hyperfixate on Gorochu recently, and what a missed opportunity it was. Since Pichu basically robbed it of its potential place in Pikachu's evolutionary line, there's no realistic way for Gorochu to be reintroduced into the franchise without coming up with some brand new unnecessary game mechanic or something.

But then I started thinking "What if Gorochu was a brand new Pokémon altogether?" And I don't mean like another Pikaclone. This is Gorochu we're talking about, it deserves something better. I'm thinking it should be a Mythical/Legendary Pokémon with a clear connection to Pikachu akin to Diancie and Carbink.

The lore would go something like this:

"Gorochu, the Thunder Mouse Pokémon. Legend has it Gorochu was once an ordinary Pikachu that was transformed after being struck by lightning from Arceus. Everywhere Gorochu goes, terrible thunderstorms follow as it drums its tail against the ground to psych itself up for battle. As the most powerful Electric-Type in the world, not even Thundurus, Zapdos, or Zekrom can stand up to its might."

I think it's a pretty cool concept even if it probably will never come to pass. At the very least I'd settle for a Convergent Pokémon. (Sigh) But a man can dream.

Here's my theory on new megas for Z-A

New Gen 1 megas: unnecessary, but given Game Freak's Genwunner bias, it's inevitable

New Gen 2 megas: since almost all gen2 pokemon are pretty bad due to the power creep over the years, getting some new megas for these guys would be great

New Gen 3 megas: unlikely since we got a bunch of gen3 megas in ORAS

New Gen 4 megas: also unlikely since we just got a bunch of gen4 content in bdsp and legends arceus

New Gen 5 megas: pretty likely, given how much Game Freak was teasing BW content leading up to Pokemon Day

New Gen 6 megas: despite the fact that mega evolution came out in this gen, there is only 1 gen6 mega, which is Diancie, so hopefully the Gen 6 game will add Gen 6 megas

New Gen 7-9 megas: since mega evolution was "scrapped" after gen6, it would be great to see megas of more recent pokemon

However, one really cool but extremely unlikely thing for Game Freak to do:

EVERY pokemon can "mega evolve" (maybe just getting a large stat boost in their strongest stats), kinda like how every pokemon can terastallize, and certain pokemon get mega forms, where they can change types and abilities etc.

Disagree on Gen 1 megas because a lot of Gen 1 Pokemon that haven't gotten any updates over the years could actually use one. I wouldn't mind seeing a mega for something like, say, Dewgong or Parasect. The problem is that GameFreak keeps giving stuff to the same group of popular Gen 1 pokes instead of the ones who actually need something

Also, giving mega evolution as a non-form changing stat boost to all Pokemon wouldn't actually be surprising given GameFreak's track record. The biggest problem would be explaining why it doesn't change the form of 'mons that they might want to add megas to way down the road. Maybe all the non-form 'mons get a generic mega stone, so they could write it off as just that species stone not having been discovered yet or something?

As an XY enjoyer, I was holding out hope for new Kalos games rather than Unova remakes. And Apparently I was right to do so! Now with the new game announcement, it means some things to me and I have predictions/thoughts.

(more under the cut in case.... future spoilers)

1. It seems like it's set in the modern day, potentially not long before or after the originals. So We probably get to see more Sycamore. Which. Yes please. Gimme. I would like to see my boy.

2. If it's set not long after the originals, Potentially a Lysandre return. Or mention. There's no way he's DEAD dead. So they better do him justice. He got flubbed in the original games.

3. MORE KALOS LORE! FINALLY! 11/12 YEARS (when Legends ZA releases) AFTER XY PROPER!

4. The cancelled event Pokémon, AZ's Floette, might ACTUALLY be obtainable this time around! (Which also means the return of event mythicals like Volcanion, Hoopa, and Diancie)

4.5 which also means if you have Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde from either the original games or the shinies from Go, USUM Ultra Wormholes, or SWSH Dynamax Adventures, they can probably be brought over!

5. Zygarde might be the big bad you have to defeat this time around, using Xerneas and Yveltal to stop them. Probably controlled by someone like Xerosic. (think like Ultra Necrozma in USUM, or Eternatus in SW/SH)

5.5 that being said, Xerneas and Yveltal may get new powered up forms (potentially Megas) as a boost to calm the rampaging Zygarde

6. Sycamore actually participates in Story Events with the player. Because he might feel bad for asking so much of them the first time. (It's a stretch but a Sycamore lover can dream. I want to see him be a badass like in the anime. Give him his Garchomp)

7. Team Flare might still be kicking around, though subdued a bit depending on how long after the originals it's been. Maybe some new faces in there. Malva is probably the one running things with Lysandre being MIA.

8. It might be revealed that Kalos and Paldea did have beef in the past, which is where Paldea's crater came from. Bringing Paldean pokemon into Kalos may strike up new dialogue. (If paldean 'mons can be transferred over, that is. If that's the case though Terapagos, Ogerpon, and the Sandwich Dragons are going to be nerfed. HARD. Especially the small Terastal Turtle.) (i wanna see Sycamore's reaction to a Clodsire or Terapagos. He'd love the little guys.)

9. New megas, but that's kinda obvious. I'm thinking some i want to see are going to be Rapidash, Talonflame, and the original Box Art Legends.

10. It may be revealed that Sycamore and Lysandre did have a little fling, if not a full on relationship before the weapon incident. They gave us Brassius and Hassel in SV. And implied one with ORAS Maxie and Archie. You know what we want, Gamefreak.

(bonus) 11. A Paldean character might appear for a side quest.

Pokemon Card of the Day #3156: Hitmonchan (Team Up)

Hitmonchan was the starter of the Hitmon combo, but it wasn't the reason it got a bit of attention. It was that Hit and Run attack on its own that did. It needed a lot of support to get to a nice position, so it was pretty much locked to Expanded play, but with enough damage boosts and an annoying enough Pokemon to switch out to, you had a surprisingly nice deck to work with.

90 HP wasn't bad for a Basic Pokemon, but a lot of things would still KO a Hitmonchan so you'd be almost always choosing to switch out with Hit and Run. The Psychic Weakness just made life easier on Trevenant, which tended to do very well against the deck as a whole. The Retreat Cost was 1 if you ever felt the need to do that, but with the main attack here also doing that job you'd only go for that if you had a huge hit waiting to go off from something else.

Hit and Run wasn't actually that strong. 30 damage wasn't much, though it only needed a Fighting Energy and it let you switch Hitmonchan with a Benched Pokemon if you wanted to. The standard was to go switch out to Wobbuffet from Phantom Forces to block Abilities from a whole range of Pokemon, providing a block against a large portion of the game. With a Float Stone on Wobbuffet and damage support from Strong Energy, Diancie Prism Star, and sometimes Martial Arts Dojo behind it, Hit and Run was surprisingly good at making progress.

Magnum Punch did 70 damage for a Fighting and 2 Colorless Energy. Please never try to use this.

Hitmonchan actually had some decent Expanded results for a few months after it was released, as it was quite good if you could avoid Psychic decks. Some decks really struggled with a pivoting attacker that could just go back to something that blocked every Ability not on a Psychic-type. Power creep and a shifting meta did catch up to this deck like so many others over the years, so its time to shine was generally left to 2019 and maybe very early 2020. Still, that was a solid run for a Pokemon that was working with 30 damage as its base number. You actually had to be aware of this deck for a while when playing Expanded.

Battle Mechanic Concept: Aura Fusion

I posted about this months ago, but here’s a better example of what I was talking about. It’s essentially Terastilization with extra steps; a Pokémon faints to give a compatible party member a power boost and one of nine Fusion Types. Most only get an effect added on, but a select few get a new form entirely. Aura Fusion converts moves into a new move, Dynamax style, based on the preexisting Type and category (contact, cutting, beam, etc). This enables popular fanmade Types to become a reality without having to permanently retcon prior Pokémon.

A Fire Type giving a boost to a Rock Type or vice versa replaces the corresponding type with the Light Type (Fire/Rock Types like Magcargo become pure Light). Light Types typically invoke either jewelry, radiation, or angels.

Fusion Diancie evokes the look of her Mega while taking her in a more “rebellious princess” style.

Coalossal riffs on the old “coal to diamonds” myth, and between his stubby legs, massive crown, and back protrusion, he looks downright kingly.

Geodude takes a page from Graveler and finally starts to live up to his name, becoming a living geode.

Charizard joins the list of Godzilla expies because I welcome our vermilion reptilian overlord.

Charcadet takes the best from his evolutions and looks positively radiant.

Volcarona isn’t too drastic a change, he just gets the extra eyes to tie together the angel and moth motifs. He’s also far fluffier.

Houndoom gets a full on redemption arc and also adopts the angel look. His interlocking horns might be a bit much, but eh. That’s afterlife.

Finally, Glimmora, whose body structure’s flipped a bit and is wearing a very familiar emblem atop her head…

My only concern is balancing. Geodude and Charcadet are obviously far weaker than the others here, so I could probably just give them each a preset BST rather than a strengthening them by a set amount like the Megas. And don’t worry, the item used to access the unique fuses forms doubles as an Everstone for them.

You’re villain Diantha au gave me an idea for my own fantasy au. Lysandre pulled all the strings behind Diantha’s employment/appointment to becoming a bamf knight. He wants Xerneas and Yveltal to destroy Galar. He needs Diantha because he knows Drasna (the ruler of Kalos) doesn’t trust him. He needs Diantha because he knows Drasna is a kind soul. He knows how Diantha grew up in the streets, so Drasna has sympathy for her. Diantha also has connections to Diancie. Lysandre knows how Diancie is a ruler to the Carbink. If he has control over Diantha, he has control of Diancie. If he has control over Diancie, he has control of Carbink. If he has control of Carbink, he has control of commerce. The Carbink and Kalosians have a symbiotic relationship. The Carbink make materials that helped with Kalos’s trade. I’ve always thought The great weapon Az built was made of old, dead Carbink. This is also another thing Kalosians use because Carbink don’t like seeing dead friends, and they live underground.

Anyways, back to Lysandre. Lysandre uses and manipulates Diantha. Sycamore, Lysandre’s childhood friend, knows what Lysandre is doing. He tries to get Diantha to stop, but Diantha, headstrong and stubborn, tries to convince Sycamore to join them. He doesn’t. Sycamore gathers some gym leaders to stop Lysandre. They do, but Diantha continues Lysandre’s mission. The abuse, such as burning her and guilt-tripping her, and manipulation controls her.

So, Diantha is a misguided villain. Lysandre tells Drasna that Diantha will continue his plans. Drasna gets her son/nephew, Raihan (they are definitely related) to help them, so it’s Galar and Kalos vs Lysandre and Rose.

Diantha breaks Lysandre out of prison.

Lysandre’s like: “thank you, Diantha. I will make sure to reward you.”

Then Diantha just straight up kills him. “Yeah, I’m free from you now. I’ll be doing my own thing.” She gets Rose under her finger. She puppetmasters Rose into revealing all his plans. She recreates, and even improves upon, the ultimate weapon. She doesn’t fire it right away. She uses it as a tactic to conquer Unova. She uses N’s abilities to obtain Reshiram and Zekrom. She fuses them with Kyurem to make the original dragon. She then reigns hellfire upon the Indigo Disk area (i forgot the name). It’s Iris, with her training from Lance and Alder, who finally defeats Diantha. Iris reminds Diantha of her roots. She (Diantha) stops her tyranny because she realizes this wasn’t what she wants. She gets the original dragon to destroy the Ultimate weapon. She frees the Swords of Justice and captures Ghetsis to protect N. She sees herself in Iris and N. She gets Drasna to adopt them.

It’s through Diantha that Unova and Kalos are allies. She’s basically a catalyst for making worldwide alliances.

Anyways, Galar time. Rose wants power for more progress. He wants to colonize people to progress the world. Rose basically conquers all of the Japanese inspired regions for the sake of progress. He gets Lysadre to help gather the energy from Xerneas and Yveltal. With Eternatus’s power, Rose wants to skip the Industrial Revolution. Leon, Raihaan, Sonia and Nessa are the ones who fight against Rose. Raihaan gathers Kanto/Johto characters to get out of slavery. Leon gets Kalos in place of Raihaan. Nessa, a bit of spoiled brat and mastermind, gets Kabu to get Hoenn’s support. Sonia uses Zacian and Zamazenta to fight Eternatus. The Galar Rivals fight Eternatus with Zamazenta and Zacian. Hop deals the final blow because of the stuff he’ll go through.

That was a lot of writing. Hope you’re having a good day. Kalos probably will change due to Legends ZA coming out. I just rewrote everything for Kalos right before the presents dropped, so this was kinda pointless, but whatever. I prepared for Johto/Kanto or Unova section to be rewritten, but I guess we’re going back to Kalos.

Okay so lore time:

Visions = Pokéballs

Archons and other ancient beings, depending on their stories - some of them (at least Venti and Zhongli) - were “Divine” Pokémon that took on human forms once their species died out and now can train Pokémon like regular people 

Unlike other regions where Pokéballs are all over the place, Teyvat only has “Vision Balls” which are gifted to people by the Divine Seven. It’s tricky to explain, but trainers whose Pokémon use Vision Balls can power-up their partners further than just their Pokemon traveling around by their sides 

But because training Pokémon like this was invented by the Divine Seven in this region, the Raiden Shogun is seizing all Pokéballs from her area of jurisdiction so that no trainer may become as powerful as she, the Divine Gym Leader

Of course, other people can have Pokémon without Vision Balls, but those who have been gifted Pokéballs are said to be the most powerful trainers in the region

And then there’s the Traveler who can use the effects of a Vision Ball, but without one

Delusions could be like artificial Vision Balls that boost Pokémons’ abilities a fuck ton, but at the expense of their energy and potentially life force

Vision Balls boost the bond between trainer and Pokémon, Delusions exploit this

I’ve planned that the Abyss Order is corrupting Pokémon across the region using psychic type moves for their own purposes

Teyvat as a region is a giant melting pot of different Pokémon

The Fatui want to bring glory to the Ice Gym, the Abyss Order wants to restore their lost power

And Dainsleif was cursed when the Divine Seven had Khaenri’ah destroyed, just like Genshin lore

I KEEP FORGETTING TO POST THESE. magical girl au refs for cynthia and diantha except they're vaguely incomplete cuz i'm lazy LMAO. diantha's design is bound to change a bit eventually but im p happy with cynthia's.

some notes about the au/fic below the cut since i keep forgetting to actually share !!!!

in this fic magical girls are treated somewhat like?? idols i guess??? idk it wasn't intentional but that's just kind of what happened. there's like. agencies that manage magical girls and give them assistance/work to do . the system's fucked though.

all kinds of supernatural stuff happens!! pokemon do not exist but magical beasts of the same origin as magical girls do! and they're. fairly similar to pokemon in many aspects

magical girls aren't the only people with magic. there's just a very specific phenomena that goes on w/ magical girls specifically. they've existed since the beginning of recorded history! (and guess who's a huge nerd about that.)

anyway. character specific notes. i'll start w diantha bc she's the "protagonist"(read: first half of the story is in her pov)

she's still an actress in this au!! she probably could've unlocked her potential as a magical girl as a teenager if she'd... just had the time to . oopsies.

she didn't. become a magical girl until the start of the story (she's. 26. that is a VERY late age to discover that in this!!!!)

dating malva. lives with her as well. how cute hope nothing happens to their relationship(smiles)

is assigned on the important task of apprehending a powerful rogue magical girl(cynthia!) who has evaded every attempt in the past four years. hmmm wonder how this will end up!!!(sorry. im giggling writing this all out)

her weapon is a rapier similar to the one diancie is seen with in the oras animated trailer i'm just not 100% satisfied w my design for it yet. lol rip

she's a Very experienced magical girl. she is also a mid 20s disaster who is trying to juggle school with erm. being a wanted magical girl.

she used to be in the same agency that diantha is now in, but ran away after finding out some. Very Classified information.

so many people want her gone. too bad she's almost untouchable. (there's. a Ranking system for magical girls but i don't feel like explaining it. know she's probably one of if not the most powerful one alive tho)

is trying to unravel the mystery of where magical girls actually came from. (this is part of what led her to discovering some things she shouldn't have.) however her quest for Knowledge isn't. really that important to the main plot of the fic. i may make a spinoff about it tho if i ever get to that point lmaooo

So this is something that I talked about before but it's nice to actually explain it: The Timeless and the cults. I'll hopefully not make this super long lol.

I'm realizing, thinking about it, there's a lot to unpack, so for now, I'll keep things short by explaining the relationship between the Timeless and the first Infernal cult leader, who is Jaern's ancestor.

In my rewrite I pretty much. Tossed out the old Timeless and replaced them with my own ocs lol. The two important ones for this little story is Vasilios ( my replacement of Verysn) and Nikolas. Vasil is/was the king of Torren in this au, and was chosen by Diancie. Vasil was the one that stumbled upon the void gauntlet/the throne of hegemon ( which might get some tweaks later on we'll see). He fell into the pool of starry waters, which was made him see glimpses of what to come- Nyx, chosen ones, the crystal- all of which had led Vasil to Arceus. That's when Arceus itself gave Vasil his duty to protect the crystal and was ultimately chosen by Diancie ( via Arceus). Nikolas is Vasil's right hand man, a head knight who is severely loyal to his king. He is also the chosen one of Keldeo. Him and Vasil are in love. Just thought I'd mention that.

Jaern's ancestor was a good friend to both of them. How exactly they all met I haven't fleshed out but the vague idea I have is that they found her one day, took her in and they've been friends ever since ( Nik used to be jealous of her, given how close she and Vasil would be. She would tease him for it later down the line lol. They became good friends!). Jaern's ancestor ( I should really get a name for her) was a genuinely kind woman. She wanted to help the world in earnest, and thus has taken up medicine. Despite her efforts though, she always mused on how she wishes she could do more for the world. That is, until she stumbled upon the crystal. I don't think I thought out how she found it- maybe I explained it before but I forgot. But she did, and was ecstatic! Something with immense power- it could heal so many people! Vasil, however, wasn't as pleased that she found out. I should mention that Vasil is a sweetheart. He truly is. If it was up to him, he would have used the crystals power to make his home so much better for everyone, but it's still a crystal with infinite power. If gotten to the wrong hands, it could be disastrous, especially when Nyx is a looming threat (according to Arceus n his visions). It was too much of a risk. So when Jaern's ancestor suggested making the crystal public, Vasil adamantly denied it. It had caused a small argument between the two, but it ended with Vasil convincing Jaern's ancestor to just let it go, that the risk of it all would be too great ( without mentioning the whole Arceus stuff).

And that was that.....until it wasn't.

Jaern's ancestor does have a deep sense of justice within her. She wants to help the world, but never seems to have the right resources to do so. The crystal would be on her mind for ages. It would help heal the world, it could help so many people if Vasil just let it be known! That was when she decided to take a risk of her own: she attempted to take the crystal for herself. She snuck into the caves, found the crystal again, and just when she tried to take it- it wouldn't budge. Vasil and Nik was there behind her ( she didn't realize she was being followed), and explained that the only way for the crystal to be moved is if you beat the original owner in battle- him. Jaern's ancestor had no pokemon, nor any proper combat training. She would not win, even if she tried. Again, she tried to reason with him, tried to convince him that it would help so many people - but her going back to the crystal was already enough. With a heavy heart, Vasil exiled Jaern's ancestor. He couldn't take that risk. No matter how much it hurts seeing the pain in her face.

Vasil allowed her to gather her things before leaving. He was not expecting her to gather some doctors and healers to leave with her. He didn't expect her to quietly vow getting the crystal for all to use. He hadn't expected her to form the first cult. The Sky Cult......though if you'd ask her, she'd looked at you with disgust if you call what she's doing "cult work". I can't stress enough, Jaern's ancestor isn't doing what she's doing for power. She just wants people to have the resources they need to live, and the absolute best one is literally being hidden away. And she thinks that's unfair. Truly unfair. And even if she doesn't get the crystal ( which she is determined to get), she won't stop helping where she can. Exiled or not.

Some smaller things

Pre- Crystal, Jaern's ancestor had always had a connection to the sky. You'd find her playing her lute on a high place when the sky is nice and clear.

Vasil and her LOVED teasing Nikolas lol. Vasil even more so, in her opinion, but he denies it. She Knows What's Up though.

Post Exile Jaern's ancestor went from someone who was pretty dainty in appearance to someone who ended up being fairly muscular.

At some point she ends up dying, perhaps in a final battle between her and Vasil. I think despite everything, they consider each other their greatest friends, and deeply respect each other. Her death is one of Vasil's biggest regrets.

In connection to the above, I also imagined that by that point she had a child and husband. I think her final wish was for them to live comfortably. Vasil made sure her wish came true.

// haiii :D !! in honor of valentines day or . luvdisc day /silly , i wanted to share my diancie lore !! cause . diancie was revealed on valentines day and it seemed rather fitting for me >:3c

Diancie , a sudden transformation of Carbink . Its pink , glimmering body is said to be the loveliest sight in the whole world . Considered a mythical due to their elusive nature that makes any appearances of them a rarity , its also been said that their power was strong enough to even rival the gods in their mega - evolved form . They were also considered to be a symbol of beauty , wealth , and love in stories , as Diancie's first documented sighting was on Febuary 14th , Luvdisc Day .

This mythical Pokémon had only formed as a result from being in direct exposure of the Ultimate Weapon , emerging as . . well , themselves instead of as a Carbink . There is only one known to exist at a time and they are often seen as a protector of Carbink . However , some also believe that they were a blessing from Xerneas , being seen as a gift to humanity for their diamonds that have the ability to protect from illnesses . . which occured from Xereas’ everlasting life properties that imbued the mutated Carbink .

Very few people were known to acquire Diancie , but their names had already been lost time , leaving little information behind on the Pokémon . Being in the possession of such a mythical is considered a feat of the highest prestige , which is why many wealthy individuals would invest in trainers to try and catch them , in the hopes of adding to their collection . . Keeping them as nothing more than a glorified display piece . A trophy , if you will .

However , all attempts of catching Diancie have been unsuccessful , as Diancie had only ever allowed themselves to be caught by their chosen , time and time again . After all , their chosen has been the one to transformation back when they first emerged from the Earth almost 3,000 years ago . They ended up making a . . deal of sorts and ever since then , Diancie was bonded to that human , being fated to meet one in every single life after that encounter , even if in slightly unconventional ways .

Diancie had left their home in the Diamond Domain in search of their chosen to help them seek out Xerneas after failing to replicate the Heart Diamond , which is used to sustain the land and provide the Diamond Domain / Allearth Forest ( where Xerneas’ tree resides ) with energy and tranquility , yet its energy has been slowly depleting over time due to old age . While Diancie wasn’t necessarily the ruler of the Diamond Domain ( being a protector of sorts and all ) , they felt as though they were responsible for seeking out the Life Pokémon's ability , Fairy Aura , since they were the only one who would be able to create another Heart Diamond that’d keep the forest alive other than Xerneas themselves , and yet they seemingly lacked the power to create a new one . . most likely due to their youth and inexperience .

During their search , they had been by Pokémon thieves who planned on selling them in the Pokémon black market that operated in Kalos , sending them off to the highest bidder . Thankfully , someone on the inside felt guilty enough to set Diancie free from a life of being kept in a display case after a bit of convincing through telepathy .

. . which is exactly how Diwata came to have Diancie under his care in the first place .

Unsurprisingly , Diwata has somehow found himself at the black market that operated during the night , because of course , teenagers will be curious and he hardly knew any Kalosçais at the time he got lost . He was only a few steps in before some sketchy, anxiety-ridden man at the entrance had insistently offered him the master ball for free under the instructions that he wouldn't hand the ball off to someone else , because teenagers are apparently verrry reliable in this world apparently , which Diwata agreed to . . even if his mother told him not to take anything a stranger offers . He found it hard to say no , especially since the guy was being so pushy and he felt strangely drawn to the pokéball anyways . After the encounter , he was promptly kicked out of the market and given proper directions to be sent on his merry way .

Though , things started to make all the more sense to Diwata about the individual's panicked demeanor when two individuals storm the pokemon center and practically make a beeline for him when they spot Diancie with him , only a few seconds after he'd gone in to check with Nurse Joy about what sort of pokémon he recieved . And then , he was basically being guilt - tripped by strangers who demanded for him to hand Diancie over , explaining how the person they worked for needed the pokémon for one silly reason or another . It wasn't until their employer came by and just straight up told him that Diancie and their diamonds held " no value " if he didn't find one himself ( an impossible task , of course , as there is only one in existence ) , and then just leaving Diwata in the center with the strange mythical . . Diancie seeming strangely happy with this outcome despite not formally “ knowing “ who Diwata is , and Diwata being both confused at what had even transpired yet horrified at same time by the lengths that people would go to for such a pokémon .

Diancie had stayed with Diwata for the time being , despite having been already released from the master ball they were originally in . Regardless their first introduction , they seemed awfully . . fond of Diwata for some reason , which he didn’t mind but still found it a little confusing . Most pokémon have a tendency to be a little wary of being in a new environment , yet Diancie seemed to thrive just by sticking to Diwata’s side with a smile , as though they’ve known him since forever . After some time , Diancie would be properly re - caught by Diwata after showing interest in the matter . In turn , Tanghulu would reveal to Diwata that he is in - fact , their chosen whom they're bonded with , through telepathic communication as they explain what their mission is .

Diwata , albeit a little hesitant , agrees to help and the two go on to seek out Xerneas . And then , the events of “ Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction “ occur and whatnot . .

Fast forward , Diwata is now aware of the Aura Trio’s existence and vice versa . The Carbink within the Diamond Domain and the various other pokémon that live in Allearth Forest both hold Tanghulu and their chosen in high regard .

Tanghulu makes the decision to accompany Diwata on his journey , like they always do whenever their chosen reincarnates , promising to themselves that they’d return the favor and make sure Diwata and his pokémon stay safe .

Yeah, actually! I had a lot of special ones! There was the Lilligant I trained up back in Gen 6 that turned out really strong, and was a ton of fun to use. There was the dumb Adamant Alakazam that was the first Pokemon I raised to level 100 back in Platinum. My Meloetta and Diancie, which I admittedly never got to use because event legends are handled like absolute shit. There was the shiny Celebi I got from the Crystal release on 3DS eshop. There were my shiny Ultra Beasts, the Roserade I first bred Hidden Power Fire to in Gen 6 with max possible IVs for the skill, and so many monotype teams I built back when I was really into competitive. Not to mention, the Eeveelutions I used to make top 100 in the old Eevee Friendly tournament. And yeah, I'd love to battle with you any of them, but...they're gone. All gone. Bank decided that after two generations it was going back on its promise to be the forever means of preserving your teams, and instead of $5 a year for storage, it was now $10, and also the $20 for the system that already connects to internet to actually use it, and I couldn't justify that kind of nickel and dime bullshit from a company backsliding so pitifully. So when Dexit hit, there was just nowhere for them to go. They're gone, Nate. I reset those games, and the old PowerSaves data was on a computer that died. They're all gone now, and with them, all memory of their existence. Less than dead, they never were, Nate.
