Your takes feel like you are trying to fill up a “diversity checklist” that only exists in your mind.

I just really like other cultures a lot. Plus most of the media I consume has diversity in it already so I am just working with what I got.

I mainly talk about NSR so I'll use that as an example. NSR is made by people in Malaysia with a lot of their culture coming through in the game. Because of this I see Vinyl City as taking place in Malaysia, so already I feel like a lot of my headcanons should express that.

Then you have the characters in the game that (to me) feel like they are already really diverse (like Eve having a lot of Indian inspiration, Sayu having east Asian inspirations, mainly Japanese I think, 1010 having Kpop inspo, and Tatiana is a name that originates from Russia). I use these kinds hints at a character to think of headcanons about where they might be from or the world around them.

Plus, pretty sure Tatiana at some point said her artists are from all around the world, which is why I think NSR is very diverse. I don't really have any excuse for Yinu being Mexican or DJSS being African other than I saw som other peoples headcanons for them at some point in time.

This kind of thinking also helps give me motivation to look up other cultures more so than I would have just by myself. It also goes the same for religion. I've researched a lot more about religion (outside of Christianity which I was brought up with, though I still do research on that since I don't know everything about it) than I ever really would on my own. Usually I would just google a question I came up with and be done, but now I am trying to actually learn more about the history of holidays and religions.

If you're talking about the queer aspect of my takes/art, that's literally just because I am queer as well and like seeing other characters as queer. Plus, a lot of the time, if you have a queer person, they are most likely going to hang out with other queer people. I find the "one queer friend in a group" trope to be unrealistic to me, so if I make queer headcanons it does affect other headcanons (things like 1010 being queer also takes into account their robot nature and how they could never truly be cishet anyway even if they identify as cishet, it gets into a grey area I love to explore).

Mainly, what I am saying, is that I like to base my headcanons in a kind of reality. Like it is realistic that places like Vinyl City (music capital of the world), Nueva York (meeting hub for all people in the spider society across dimensions), Vandelay Technologies (international tech company helping others), and official Psychonaut location (a world organization helping psychics, who can be seen as queer coded) are places where a lot of diversity happens. Race, religious, and queer diversity would happen a lot more in these places than in like a small town in the midwest of the US.

Plus, like I said, a lot of these media I am consuming/talking about already have diversity to them. If I started just placing Vinyl City in America and stripping it of it's culture it already has, then I don't feel like that would be doing the game justice. And that goes for things like Psychonauts, Spiderverse, and Hi Fi Rush. They show (or at the very least imply) diversity in their media, and I just take that and run with it.

I don't have an actual checklist in my mind. I literally just say random headcanons that pop up or I play off of other people's headcanons. But even if I did, I don't really see a problem with that if I am not being disrespectful to the cultures I am talking about/trying to show in my art. I don't see diversity as a problem, especially in the setting of the media I talk about which brings people from all around the world into fairly small areas. Like the cities are big, but they are obviously smaller than the whole world, which is why there seems to be a concentration of diversity when I talk about characters, because they are literally from all walks of life with their own experiences brought on by their own cultures that they bring with them to their new lives, which in turn shapes the area they are living in and portraying to the audience.

I don't really know what to tell you. I like talking and learning about other cultures and I don't see that as a problem if I do it respectfully. People are diverse and I'm gonna keep trying to show that in how I talk/portray things.

I read back on your nsr posts and you said Y/N would be Tatiana (although, i kind of personally see it a better fit for Vanessa! The colder attitude and everything?)

But it does mean some characters just don’t fit into certain others (Neon J and 1010 throughly confound me, no clue who they might be)

the overall kinda idea i have for this silly AU is gonna be more no straight roads than fnaf in the end and as a result im gonna try sticking to about ~65% of NSR canon! think something LIKE NSR with fnaf characters, though because some stuff has to get shuffled around and prodded at to make it work, it’s not 1 to 1 the same lol

there’s gonna be some (albeit as minor as i can make them) plot changes and some personality changes and DEFINITELY some Environment changes, though im sticking to both sources as best as i can! AND im making some more fnaf elements incorporated for sure!!!!

Blissful Relief

Modern Day life is stressful (no one can tell me otherwise), and as someone who will practically deflate upon suddenly having nothing to do and nothing important going on in the future (because being isekai'd means all regular world plans for life are cancelled), I will not hesitate to sleep like the dead because I'm not on a tight schedule now.

(Two posts in a Day?? What have I become?!)

A.K.A, I make an excuse to write a Lazy Nocturnal God!Darling who will abuse the cult pampering system... because that is what I would do without hesitation when I’m free from Modern Day duties that eat away at my health and sanity bit by bit with every hour I spend working like a mindless zombie from dawn to dusk, juggling home life that is filled with bothersome troubles that never change.

I’m also a night owl, caused by both insomnia and because it is the quietest hour that I cannot help but want to relish in since my life is filled with so much loud noise it gives me daily migraines... but of course, habits are formed from repetition and I will always wake up at 4-6am like a dumbass thus suffer the consequences the next morning.

Uhh... and I guess there might be OOC stuff?? Characterization who? Also Self-Indulgent again?? Super Self-Indulgent??? Letmeenjoysleepingandbeinganocturnalcreatureplease--

Morning tends to consist of Zhongli coming into your room, leaving the tray of breakfast he prepared on the coffee table near the sofa in your room before he walks over to kneel beside the bed where you're happily dozing off on, a hand moving to gently rest on the small of your back to rub small circles with his thumb. He’s softly smiling the whole time, looking at you with such adoration and fondness with how relaxed you were. As much as he wants to let you sleep in, he knows what would happen if a mortal body doesn’t move that much on a daily basis.

He'll try get you to wake up without being too loud, and if you ask for affection (kisses in particular, because I’m an affection and touch starved bastard), he will give it to you without hesitation and pepper your face in adoring kisses before carrying you off to the sofa so you could eat. He will feed you himself if you’re still too sluggish.

Will also put you in his lap if you’re nodding off, mostly to prevent you from hurting yourself (and because he enjoys the close proximity, if you allow it).

On rare occasions, Childe will be the one to wake you up in the morning instead whenever Zhongli is busy, letting you snuggle in bed a while longer if you want a few extra minutes before smothering you in his affections as he whisks you off from bed to get ready for the day and drop you off in the kitchen where breakfast is waiting on the table.

He will feed you himself if you're still drowsy, looking at you while cooing as though you are the most precious little thing this world has ever given life to (and to be fair, you are the most precious person to him with his family).

Will give you more cheek kisses if you’re still half-asleep, or in-between spoonfuls as a way to let you know you’re doing great... and because why not. It’s a rare moment to have, since Zhongli does hog a lot of your time.

Noon/Afternoon usually has Venti to keep watch over you if you ever choose to nap somewhere random around the teapot outdoors, or somewhere out in the wilds of Teyvat where the weather is just right and the surroundings are generally quiet. If you were outside of the teapot, you’d also have either Kaeya, Xiao or Kazuha to accompany the two of you depending on where you are for extra protection (per Zhongli’s safety precaution).

Venti will hum a song, and maybe strum a calming tune while you nap, happily basking in the gentle breeze and warm sunlight as the day goes by in a very peaceful and quiet manner. If lunch time comes around, he’ll try to wake you up as gently as possible, but finds it difficult to disturb you when you look so comfortable and peaceful right now. (And usually, this has you missing out on lunch if Zhongli is too busy to check up on you. Don't worry though, he'll make sure the packed lunch is empty before the old man drops by and that you did eat something.)

Kaeya will take the chance to cuddle with you, usually keeping you between his legs while you're using his chest as a pillow as your head is tucked in the crook of his neck. He's going to keep a loose hold on you, arms wrapped around your waist while occasionally shifting in case you're uncomfortable. He's smiling the whole time because you're so cute when you sleep like this. (Will occasionally give you kisses on the crown of your head if you don't mind it. Man wants to spoil you with so much love if you allow him to.)

Xiao is 100% attentive to all things in the surrounding, wanting to keep you safe from all potential dangers and will not relax while you're in such a vulnerable state. He will, however, melt when you sleepily call for his name while lazily reaching for him in such a lazy, but cute manner. Just like that, he's right by your side, asking for whatever you need. He's still on guard, but whatever you need, he will be there to provide... kisses and snuggles included, even if he’s struggling to be open about it.

Kazuha would be smiling serenely, occasionally brushing the hair off your face if it gets in the way of giving you proper sleep. He would take care of problems that may arise before it reaches you, and if you ever have trouble trying to be comfortable, he’ll let you lay your head on his lap while he gently pets your head in such a soothing manner that the nap turns into full on sleep... his legs might go numb, but he just couldn’t wake you up when you looked so peaceful sleeping right there.

Sayu will always accompany you when you’re in Inazuma, mostly because she could find an excuse to sleep with you around when you are getting ready to nap. She’ll be quick to defend you though, because if you get hurt, she’ll lose that excuse and she’ll struggle to find peace to sleep for a while without having people tailing after her.

Dusk/Evening you’re decently awake (or rather, barely awake), Zhongli’s not letting you sleep anymore until later into the night. Ei would keep you company, the time when it’s not so busy for her as things settle down and allow her to spend time with you. She’s honestly just internally squealing when you end up holding onto her hand or sleeve if you’re too groggy to walk by yourself and properly guide your own feet.

Sometimes the Kamisato Clan would be the ones to accompany you, per Ei/Raiden Shogun’s orders. Ayaka used to be on-guard (because how did someone who was barely standing on their own two feet turn the Raiden Shogun into some excitable puppy??) when she first met you, but she got over it after realizing you’re not a bad person after spending enough time with you to see it.

Thoma sometimes coddles you, knowing well enough that you were just tired from the stress of the daily life you used to have when you told him once during a day when he was left to take care of you... He does his best to make sure you were enjoying yourself in the city, keeping a watchful eye in case you’d trip on your own feet.

On rare occasions when even the Kamisato Clan is busy, Kujou Sara would be the one to care for you... as foreign as it was in the beginning, because you’re so idle and pretty sluggish most of the time, but she grew to find these times relaxing. Of course, she is ever watchful for all problems, and when you were awake enough, would be helpful with your foreknowledge if you do remember everything well enough.

When Night falls upon Teyvat, you are fully awake, if only for a while until you grow exhausted again. In these moments, they would all try to spend time with you and gain more of your attention... but aside from that, you would often take strolls on Watatsumi Island, if only because you do sincerely enjoy the scenery the island had during the night... but other times, you would either take a stroll at Starsnatch Cliff or Qingce Village.

Kokomi would be with you, walking alongside you while she admires the sight of your relaxed, fully awake expressions that mostly appears at night. She would keep each of these moments to her heart, knowing that if her God loved Watatsumi as it is, then all her efforts into protecting it was worth it... plus, there was something nice just knowing a God like you enjoying the natural sight of her home while taking a nightly stroll.

Gorou trails behind you like a puppy, basking in the attention you give him and will always be ready to defend you. When you talk, he is absolutely silent, wanting to hear your voice in its more clearer form. He will not be happy if someone interrupts you, definitely will snarl at them if you don’t keep him in check... but aside from that, he will stick close to your side while you’re at Watatsumi Island as your guard with Kokomi.

Diluc will be by your side during the night when you’re in Mondstadt, always looking away when your gaze is directed towards him but otherwise would observe you closely... since he often sees you when you weren’t fully awake. He enjoys seeing this side of you more, and while he does find your sleepy self to be adorable, he likes knowing that you’re aware of everything... It gives him a peace of mind when you do acknowledge his efforts.

Midnight rings clear into the night, the clarity of your mind would return into its sleepy state. You would return back to the Teapot and get ready for bed, tucked in comfortably by one of your acolytes before you slumber until morning rises once more and repeat your day... Sometimes, if you’ve relaxed enough, you might be fully awake for the whole day.

Of course, that is a rare moment that might not always happen, but if you were truly awake for a whole day, none of your acolytes are going to miss this chance and might fight to have your full attention if you don’t give them the satisfactory amount, unless you put your foot down and make sure they behave.

Aside from that, your cult will always be there for you, ready to take care of you and give you all the affection you want.

Thoughts about Misa’s and Light’s Death

Why did Misa choose Valentine’s Day to commit suicide? At first glance, it is obvious Valentine’s Day is a day for couples. However, that’s not directly the case in Japan. Valentine’s Day was introduced there in the 1970s. It is a day on which women give chocolate as a gift to family, friends, colleagues, and partners. They distinguish between "honmei“ chocolate and "giri" chocolate. Honmei means true feeling, giri means duty. While there is a certain love aspect included, this day is not specifically dedicated to romantic partners. By the way, there is a similar day for men as well, the 14th March, the White Day.

In Japan, the day for couples, the equivalent to the Western version of Valentine‘s Day, is Christmas. Contrary to Western countries, it is not a family holiday, nor does it have a religious meaning, since the amount of Christians is very low. Instead, couples celebrate it, for example, with a romantic stroll enjoying the Christmas lights, dinner in a restaurant, and spending the night in a hotel.

Misa is Japanese, unless Western culture had a huge influence on her, she probably would have chosen Christmas over Valentine’s Day if she wanted a special love-themed day for her death. And if she wanted a day that connected her to Light, there were other opportunities, 22nd May (seeing Light for the first time in Aoyama), 25th May (their anniversary), 27th October (engagement), 28th January (Light’s death day), 28th February (Light’s birthday), Light’s funeral day or even the planned wedding day, if a date already exited. Misa waited almost a year, and these days have a more personal meaning. Thinking about it now, Valentine’s Day almost appears to be a bit random. Wouldn’t any of these other dates make more sense?

I also doubt that she didn’t know about Light’s demise much sooner. In HTR13, Obha says that Matsuda told her about it. This implies that Misa was either informed before or at about the same time as Sachiko and Sayu. Otherwise, one of them would have told her that Light is dead. Sachiko didn’t like Misa particularly, but she always treated her with respect while interacting in person. And whether she liked it or not, Misa was Light’s fiancée. Therefore, she had the right to know what happened. Sayu, on the other hand, got along well with Misa. I assume she would either be insisting that Sachiko tells her the truth or do it herself. Sachiko had nothing to gain from hiding Light’s death anyway. If she didn’t want to see her anymore, informing Misa was the fastest way to get rid of her. After the funeral, she can cut all ties, and that’s it. Take into account that Sachiko lost her husband and her son within a short period of time, plus the drama with Sayu. With all the tragedy in her life, I doubt she had the emotional strength to actively ghost Misa, who didn’t give up so easily when it came to Light. Also, since Light and Misa were not married, Light’s money and possession go to Sachiko after his death. Unless Sachiko does not care about it, which she probably does, at least some authorities would have contacted Misa.

So what could have happened after Light died? Before he went to the warehouse, Light talked with Misa. He told her to wait a while in the hotel.

It is unclear how long “a while” is, but I assume if Light would not contact her within a few days at max, Misa would certainly be worried and try to call him. I also doubt that Near paid for her hotel room for more than two or three days. He knew that it is going to end in the warehouse in one way or the other. At least, then Misa would try to inform Light that she’s going home. And since she can’t reach him and because they were the last people who saw Light, the next logical step would be contacting the Task Force. Most likely, they would ghost Misa at this point until an official story for the Kira case and Light’s death is given to them.

The next best option is asking Light’s family if they know anything about his whereabouts, followed by the police. Sayu and Sachiko would be worried too. Misa is probably the first person who realized that Light disappeared, and the Yagamis learn it from her. That’s another reason why I doubt that they knew about Light’s fate for a long time without telling Misa anything. They all were in this situation together. So far, there was always an explanation for Light’s disappearances except for this time, and the Task Force does not react. It is obvious that something happened.

I assume Light’s death can be hidden for a while, maybe a few weeks or even a month, not much longer, though. After the Task Force reported Light’s and thus Kira’s death, most likely someone of the Japanese Government decided on an official story. Kira fooling everyone and working for the Japanese police is embarrassing. They will never officially admit that Light Yagami is Kira. (Kira's death was never officially confirmed.) Also, no one should draw the conclusion that the Kira murders stopped when he suddenly disappeared. Light isn’t a nobody without family and friends either. There are people who will miss him. Sooner or later, someone could connect the dots. It’s on behalf of the Government that they deliver an official story quickly and that they do not keep Light’s dead body for an unnecessarily long time. Declaring something like Light sacrificed his life while he tried to stop Kira would be the most reasonable story they can come up with. Light’s declaration of death will probably be out not later than late February or early March 2011.

Now let’s go back to the beginning. In fact, Misa had various opportunities to end her life on special personal or not-so-personal dates, and yet, she waited. Why? She probably had to overcome the initial shock and take care of some personal matters first. But this wouldn’t take a whole year. I can’t give you a completely satisfying answer for the question. My best explanation is that Valentine’s Day is a special day between Light’s death (28th January) and birthday (28th February), close to both dates, not exactly in the middle, though. Maybe Misa wanted to be as close to Light as possible, and choosing a day between these two things was her way to accomplish this. She dedicated her life to Light, so she does with her death. Her sacrifice is her last gift for him. Ultimately, the 14th February symbolizes more Light as her purpose in life rather than them as a couple.

L's investigation hq. he was a suspect of L, still, but this time he told soichiro to bring this 18 yo boy to the hq to test him, asking light to work with all of them. he ends up not guilty ofc, but L still wants to keep him…around.

What was their first impression of each other?

ah, the good old 'what the fuck dude???' from light and the 'oooh he got a big brain' from L. it's hard to get out of canon in this one.

Who felt romantic feelings first?

L. But it's more like thoughts, rather than feelings. It's just these random thoughts that pop out in his head like 'i don't mind kissing this guy, if he asks' but not like 'i want to kiss him' yknow what i mean? idk this is just something i experience a lot lmao. it develops to feelings once light falls for him and L can see that. So in terms of ideas, it's L, but in terms of feelings, it's Light.

Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

Oh our favorite light denial yagami. Of course he's cursing himself for having feelings like this but once L calls it out he's over.

If you had told one of them that the other would be their soulmate, what would they think?

Light would laugh it off, and be like "i don't like him that way you know". L would shrugs be like "well yes that's possible, i don't think i mind".

What would their lives be like if they had never met?

Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go?

hmm, they both initiated the relationship? ykwim? They both notices they had feelings for each other and just...go from there. they never have like a relationship talk, they just go with the flow until at some point they starts to get comfortable to refer the other as partners. They basically can read each other's mind, after all.

Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?

Yes, sort of. A tennis game! And a coffee sesh after, just like canon. They plan this to be just "let's just relax, this case has been really exhausting, take a one day break, L" but when Light got home, sayu asked "how's the date going?!" He immediately said "it's not a date, you watch too many dramas it's rotting your brain" And sachiko gave him a smile while shaking her head at this statement and when he's back to his room he immediately calls L and was like "hey does that count as a date?" and L answers with "depends, do you want it to be?" with a smirk that light can hear.

What was their first kiss like?

it was late at night, light was helping L with the case when everybody went home. they were sharing their view about this certain criminal when light notices L staring at his lips, first he ignored it but it happens again and again to a point where their face just got real close and then...kiss, somehow. idk lmao.

Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

First person who can understand each other and are equals, the only ones who can tear the other's wall down, and just practically soulmates in any form that even their sun & moon signs mirroring each other's? YES.

What’s their height difference? Age difference?

i hc L as just a little bit taller than light, but it's not like you can see it through the hunch anyway. ofc we all know the 6 years and 4 months age gap

What’s their relationship with each other’s families?

Sayu likes L, Sachiko is kinda surprise Light doesn't date a typical pretty person, but it only makes her heart fonder. L doesn't mind them, he thinks they're nice, light grew up in a good place. Soichiro? Well, he might me a bit reluctant but he loosen up slowly, his son is happier than he ever was, after all.

Who takes the lead in social situations?

Light, obviously. Because he's a charmer and if L takes control, the person they speak to would run immediately the first 2 minutes.

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?

it is a universal knowledge that L does this. like, come on, count the fics, you can't, there's just so many. he loves to break that perfect wall and make light feel 🥴😳. it's entertaining. But he knows when to stop. too much of that will be embarrassing in light's part, and he respects his boy's dignity.

Who said “I love you” first?

Light!! The thing is it was said over the phone. He gets more and more comfortable talking with L through calls, since every now and then L travel frok countries to countries. One time he just like "yeah, safe flight. love you, bye" he expected L to say goodnight to him as a response as usual but L was silent and he realised what he just said and realised that he fucking mean it. L seems to still be able to read his mind even thousands miles away so he replies with "i love you too, goodnight". they never missed seeing each other more than that night.

What are their primary love languages?

we had a discussion for this! but as we see in canon, they're both very acts of service with a little hint of physical touch here and there. quality time is also important. words and gift aren't really needed for them.

Who uses cheesy pick-up lines?

L. Only to annoy light. It's terrible that he almost cringed to himself, but it does bring a good laugh for light.

How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA?

They don't spoon a lot, they prefer not touching at all or cufdling face to face, but when they do, Light is the little spoon because being a big spoon makes his sleeping position kinda uncomfy, he feels awkward with his legs, it's just not. thankfully L thinks cuddling light this way is very calming.

Tennis and solving cases, duh. Or sometimes they play video games fighting each other. Anything competitive and/or challenging that make their brain grow 10 times bigger. But sometimes, a comfortingly peaceful and quiet dinner with hushed words thrown here and there about random things feels like the best thing ever.

they don't do nicknames, really. although, L sometimes called light with some snarky tony stark styled nicknames when he feels particularly playful but annoyed at the same time.

It's not really a proposal, they didn't even remember who said it first. But one sleepy night after a hard case, someone said "hey you wanna get married" and the other was like "sure, why not" "really?" "yeah, i think i'm ready, you?" "me too" "great" and then they go to sleep. at breakfast the next morning L called watari from across the room and said "wammy i need you to prepare [enter marriage stuff here], and light, you must call your family after this". poor old watari chokes on his tea.

What’s the wedding like? Who attends?

The wedding is in a secluded little place near the wammy's house, L used to go there a lot as a kid. With just light's parents, sayu, and watari. Well, not until Light caught Mello, Matt, Near, and Linda peeping from the bushes

A chunky cat the wammy's kids feed daily but never try to keep them in, because no animals are allowed inside the orphanage. L saw it and was like "light let's bring this bitch home" she is, indeed a little bitch, but light and L loves her dearly. her fur has light brown and black colors, like both of their hairs, so she becomes their daughter, L gave him a weird ass name but i can't think about it rn.

Who kills the bugs in the house?

Light because he's the one who's actually bothers to. They ofc annoyed L but he cpuldnt care less to actually get rid of them.

Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?

L. He rarely sleeps and once he did, he wakes up very fucking late and will pull light back to the bed if he's woken up by the empty space beside him.

Who’s the better cook?

Light. L is a spoiled brat. But Light can't bale for shit, that's Watari's job. Light grow up learning and helping his mom making meals for the family. He's not the best, but it's good enough to make L craves them in between his sweets.

Who likes to dance?

None of them. But they would slow dance on rare, sentimental occasions. And it's like so fucking romantic bcs all the lights are off except for a candle or a table lamp or a cabinet lamp whatever that has yellow-y dim light. And they don't speak, they just casually move against each other, but heart ready to combust like i do when i the mental image came into my head.

The Return of Love (Valentine's Submission)

There’s a couple of letters at the door for him. The first is from 1010, a picture of themselves not in a new body with the parts that he gave them, but taking a selfie (wefie?) in front of a new model, as well as a letter reading:

Heya Alt Dad! Thanks for the new parts! We decided to make a new body instead of trying to completely fix this old one. We figured it’d be smarter to have a backup when this one inevitably breaks down - or if we get found out. Plus, now that we have the book you gave to us with it, Purl can make more parts once we finally get our hands on the tools and materials! With Love, 1010 PS: If you see our dad, please tell him we’re okay - you can show the photo to show we’re okay!!!

Next there was a journal from Tatiana as well as a set of colorful gel pens, some of which even had ~sparkles~ inside the gel. The journal had a red cover, decorated in gold leaves, and had a little red silk ribbon attached to the spine for placement purposes. The letter read as such:

Neon J Thank you for the gift. The boys are incredibly happy that they managed to complete one of their “secret projects”. I heard you had a journal - our Neon J never had one to our knowledge, but I suspect that you will eventually run out of pages in your old one if you haven’t already. Even if not, I wasn’t sure what else to get you. I hope it serves you well in whatever you decide to use it. Tatiana

And finally, there’s a box from N2R, with an enclosed picture and letter.

Heya J! So we heard down the grapevine that you like sweaters! We all got together and decided to add our own little flair to it! Well, we all pitched in and helped with concept ideas. We had Eve help us sew it together since none of us knows how to use a needle - or at least, not without poking our eyes out! From All Of Us At N2R, Mayday, Zuke, Eve, Yinu, Sally, Team Sayu, and Supernova

Inside the box was a blue and orange sweater. On the blue side, there was the starry night sky, the sea, and a green moon. On the orange side, there was a forest with a cozy little cabin in the woods; touching the moon on the orange side was a red sun. The sweater was larger, and it looked like it had been hand-woven together.

He hums in merriment at the thoughtful gifts. The photo fills his figurative heart with warmth and he can now worry a little bit less about them. “Good. They’ll be okay.”

He still can’t believe Tatiana got him gel pens. GEL PENS. He loves them, but the thought that it was Tatiana that got hi those baffles his mind. He may not write the words in the journal with the pens, since they tend to fade, but he’ll definitely decorate the pages with some random doodles and scribbles.

The sweater was a gift he really wasn’t expecting. He didn’t even know what those people were up to in that all so different world of theirs. Perhaps he can send them something as thanks? He loves the sweater because a sweater made by hand and with love are the best kind of sweaters.

and yeah elements.. having anemo aether/kazuha is good for exploration bc of the elemental res thing, plus kazuha's skill is a BLESSING for climbing idk how nonhavers do it, so if i do get xiao/venti/whoever thatll be fine too. other than that i wanted to keep my frozen effect people SO BAD but chongyun isnt high enough and diluc is stronger than xingqiu <//3

tbh i think im just gonna like. have my main team for fighting and continue switching out the ones i like for random exploration purposes. we need flowers? sure level 40 razor can do that. if we get attacked we die like men its fine

Yaaayyyy join me in MCU feels hell. And oooh, you have a ship for the fandom now! Like, Stoki’s still my favorite Steve pairing but Stony’s really cool too…you know I ship almost everything XD (also am I the only person who sorta hated almost everyone by the end of CW? Like, of course they’re still my favs and there are still some cinnamon rolls, but, come on. Why couldn’t you all just get along ;-;)

Speaking of Illumi, do you know that Hisoka/Illumi is an incredibly popular ship in the HxH fandom? Probably because both of them are so horrible that they have like 0 friends other than each other. Nobody else wants to hang out with these losers. (Chrollo tolerates Hisoka and the adults in Illumi’s family seem to spend enough time with him to give him orders, but that’s about it.) It’s a trash ship with two trashy people and tbh I love it XD

Now anime-only fans can’t complain about her being a ‘shallow’ character so hopefully there’ll be less fighting over Lizzy in the Kuro fandom :D

FINALLY. Fellow Death Note fan <3333 Who’s your fav? Do you have any ships? Are you done with the anime??? :D (also do you know…you picked a really interesting time to join the DN fandom. The American live-action movie just came out and it sucks so freaking bad, like I haven’t even watched it yet and just from the reviews/clips, here’s what I got:

-They turned Misa into this Harley Quinn-type character. Only without any depth.

-Light/Misa is an actual canon ship, like, it’s not abusive or one-sided like it is in the anime/manga, it’s just…a thing. Light loves Misa. Misa loves Light. It’s like every cringey high school romance movie ever, only with more murder

-They freaking bent the Death Note rules just so Light could get away with all sorts of ridiculous stuff

-L cries, L rants, L is overly emotional

-Light tells L where he hid a page from his Death Note. Light doesn’t deny being Kira. Light shows Misa his Death Note when they like barely know each other and she’s still a complete stranger to him. Light acts like an idiot.

-Oh sure, he’s Kira, God of the New World, but he still cares about going to prom with his girlfriend and making stupid faces as they pose for pictures

-So much unnecessary gore. Heart attacks are Kira’s thing, Light isn’t that emotional about his kills, he doesn’t care as long as the 'villains’ are dead, so why???

-Apparently Rem does not exist. Sayu doesn't exist either. Light’s mom is dead (probably so he can angst over her)

-Light Turner. Light TURNER. Out of all the surnames they could have chosen…

-And now, for the most unforgivable sin:

How dare they not include the Potato Chip scene)

And then random things: JJ and Light have the same voice actor. Yurio and Mello (imo…have you met Mello yet?) could be long-lost twins.

Tbh, I didn’t hate the characters in CW, I hated the situation. Because there’s so so much pointless conflict that could easily be solved if everyone sat down and talked like normal people. But nooo we have to go around attacking each other. ((ALSO CAP’S LETTER TO TONY, I AM DEAD))

I think you’d actually like the manga? It takes a pretty dark turn compared to the anime and deals with lots of mental issues (the whole theme of the later volumes is Madness). Also, lots of death XD Well, the artwork changes drastically, so which one are you talking about XD

The girl in the coat (left first pic, middle 2nd) is the same person for reference. Death the Kid was one of my first anime crushes. The guy has OCD and is a total badass.

MUHAHAHAHA I think someone uploaded the Lizzy fight to youtube so you can probably find it there, but I am in love. The animation is beautiful, so that’s also a huge plus. All in all, it was handled really well.

Death Note

So last I’ve watched is ep 25, aka the one WHERE L DIES. And i am not okay. I am nowhere near okay. Nope. Not at all.

Oh i’ve heard all about the adaptation. Tbh I find the whitewashing hilarious. Setting the movie in America removes so much of the series’s logic, so why? L being the way he is is probably my favourite mistake. They took the best character and ruined him completely. POTATO CHIP SCENE NOOOO But my question is: did everything go just according to the keikaku?

Have fun w SU! I’ve watched it for a while, but gave up at some point. I might pick it up again if I have the time ^^ Word of advice, watch out for the fandom, they’re among the most toxic ones I’ve ever encountered. One time, they almost drove an artist to suicide because she didn’t draw Rose ‘thick enough’. So yeah.

MV dari 17th single Nogi, Influencer telah resmi dirilis. Tepatnya, full version-nya telah meluncur pada 2 Maret ini. Dan sayangnya hari ini aku tidak bisa mereview atau bahkan melihat MV ini lebih cepat karena tuntutan dunia nyata *sigh* dan terpaksa membaca review dari orang lain lebih dulu. Yah, setidaknya bisa menjadi masukan meski aku berusaha menulis review kali ini seobyektif mungkin, dari kacamataku.

When I finally got to watch it

Satu hal yang membedakan MV ini dengan Sayonara no Imi atau MV spring single lain adalah tidak adanya storyline. Tapi juga bukan berarti yang pertama, Inochi wa Utsukushii juga menggunakan konsep ini. Dan Harujion juga, MV itu tidak punya storyline yang bisa dengan mudah kita cerna. Anyway, ini dia Sakamichi Review untuk MV dari Influencer.

Well, dari scene pembuka, harapanku tentang MV yang bertema Old California atau Gold Rush, lengkap dengan para cowgirls dan hacienda tamat sudah. Padahal dari lagunya aku sangat-sangat berharap akan seperti itu, tapi ya sudahlah. MV ini sebelas duabelas dengan Popipappapa, jelas dari konsep dance in the box dan lighting yang berasal dari dinding.

Double Suns membuka MV ini dengan dance ala rumba meski hanya di tangan saja. Oh okelah, akan lebih familiar jika aku bilang dubstep. Harus diakui dari segi kharisma, masih belum ada member lain yang bisa menandingi mereka. Dan sepertinya Maiyan memang dijadikan sedikit di depan Naachan?

Setelah itu scene beralih ke 360°. At last! Sudah berkali-kali aku menginginkan Sakamichi mengimplementasikan ini, meski aku akan lebih suka jika Keyaki yang melakukannya. Berlawanan jarum jam dalam 360 ini adalah Misa, Ashurin, Miona, Manatsu, Reika, Sayuringo, Ikuchan, Ikoma, Kaz, Yumi, Kanarin, Hinachima, Yuttan, Hoshimina, Bebitan, Kiichan, Ranze, Sayu, dan Maichun. Not exactly round, lebih ke oval-shaped 360 camera.

Yang tidak kusukai adalah banner“INFLUENCER” dengan background pink yang menurutku sedikit tidak adil bagi member yang tertutupi, juga dengan banner “NOGIZAKA46” yang memiliki background biru. Kali ini, aku memberi nilai plus karena 360° memberi tiap member jaminan screentime yang meski tidak bisa dikatakan layak, tapi sangat-sangat eye candy. Semua member terlihat fabulous di scene ini.

Scene berikutnya kembali beralih ke Double Suns, kali ini mereka melakukan dance di tengah observatori. Lighting yang cukup suram namun romantis membuat dance mereka menjadi lebih eye catching. Keluhan mungkin pada lip sync yang kurang ‘dapat’, meski tak sampai taraf annoying. Selanjutnya adalah bagian para front row menari di drink bar. Hey, there’s underage one, mothafucka. Scene ini terlihat Nogi seperti berusaha menjual kesan rebel, apalagi dua member yang menari diatas bar adalah Miona dan Ashurin.

Selanjutnya adalah salah satu dance scene paling indah dalam sejarah MV Nogi; member 2nd row melakukan dance yang intens dalam posisi utama duduk dengan gambar yang diambil dari sudut 90° dan eye-level. Dance yang dihadirkan juga cantik, perpaduan antara tradisional dan modern, hanya tidak didukung kostum sekuat Sayonara no Imi.

Saat scene berpindah ke semua senbatsu di latar belakang aula di sebuah skyscraper, tampak jelas betapa ramainya senbatsu kali ini. Dan masalah klasik kembali menghampiri; banyak member berarti semakin mengurangi per milliseconds yang berharga untuk tiap individu. Kali ini memang terkesan berusaha membuat tiap member mendapat jatahnya tapi masih terlalu random di bagian ini.

Berikutnya adalah scene yang terasa aroma Ano Kyoushitsu. Dua member melakukan dance dalam satu scene. Ashurin-Kaz, Miona-Sayuringo, Manatsu-Yumi, dan Misa-Reika. Sisi sexy Misa dieksploitasi disini. Ekspresi yang datar kurasa mengambil inspirasi dari Flamenco. Berikutnya, kekhawatiran akan semakin minimnya screentime bagi 3rd row mentah di scene berikutnya.

3rd row untuk pertama kalinya mendapat decent screentime, bahkan sampai mendapat beberapa detik sendiri. 9 member 3rd row mencuri perhatian, terutama Bebitan yang menjadi center. Dia mendapat momentum bersamaan dengan dilibatkan dalam SakamichiAKB dan kali ini mendapat screentime yang mencuri perhatian. Edgy Bebitan bisa menjadi center 3rd row yang memukau, wajar karena dia sendiri 3 kali menjadi Under Center.

Nogi kembali menegaskan bahwa tema kali ini adalah dewasa. Dance scene dengan dinding jelas adalah adegan provokatif dalam artian bagaimanapun. Dan member melakukan itu dengan baik, sedikit khawatir juga. Tapi salut untuk lightning dan material reflektif yang digunakan (apa itu air?), membuat scene ini menjadi terbantu dari segi artistik>provokatif. Begitu juga dengan dance scene di lantai.

Dalam bagian scene yang menyorot seluruh member, sudah jelas bahwa MV ini menitikberatkan pada dance. Nah, jika dikatakan MV ini adalah Inochi 2.0, aku jelas menolak. Memang Influencer membawa dance yang setara atau malah bisa dikatakan setingkat diatas Inochi. Namun, Influencer tidak bisa membawa magis Inochi karena faktor lagu yang jauh berbeda dari purple line dan member yang terlibat jauh lebih banyak.

Keluhan utama adalah minusnya storyline. Spring single Nogi biasanya memiliki storyline paling kuat atau tema yang berat di purple line. Kimikibou dan Kidzuitara adalah contoh storyline kuat, Inochi untuk tema di purple line. Kali ini tidak keduanya, tema memang kuat di dance dan dewasa, tapi ini adalah materi yang baru bagi Nogi. Jelas butuh waktu untuk ini. Terlebih MV dengan storyline sudah menjadi semacam trademark Nogi.

Kedua adalah absennya satu member; Ikuchan. Tidak, tidak, dia tidak absen sepenuhnya, di bagian dance saat member mengenakan baju yang seragam, dia masih ada. Tapi di bagian saat member menggunakan baju individual dia hampir sama sekali tak terlihat, hanya saat close up di pembukaan. Apalagi saat scene yang menyorot semua member, jumlah member hanya terhitung 20.

Hitung jumlah membernya, di saat kostum yang sama ada 21, di kostum individual hanya 18, Double Suns mendapat bagian sendiri.

Memang Ikuchan sudah diyakini akan banyak absen di single ini, terbukti dari absen total di HS, diturunkan ke 2nd row, dan banyaknya jadwal stage play. Tapi tak kusangka akan sampai pada absen di MV meski tidak di banyak bagian. Ketiga adalah konsep yang kurang nyambung antara lagu dan MV. Untuk lagu beraroma latin seperti ini, konsep MV seperti untuk lagu bertipe EDM.

Aku tidak akan membahas negatifnya saja, sekarang waktunya untuk hal yang positif. MV ini membuat beberapa member terlihat outstanding; Bebitan, Ikoma, Kanarin adalah contoh mereka yang berhasil membuat image yang berbeda kali ini, image yang lebih dewasa dan cool. Pembawaan MV yang lebih gelap juga patut diapresiasi karena gelap tidak melulu harus ballad. Koreografi juga masuk dalam kategori A- menurutku. Bukan apa-apa, tapi MV ini tidak bisa menyampaikan koreografi dengan sempurna.

Untuk urusan kostum, kostum terusan warna ungu dipadu celana bukan fashion item favoritku, terkesan awkward. Ankle boots hitam tidak membantu karena dasarnya ungu kurang blend dengan hitam. Motif semacam bunga atau crest yang digunakan juga tidak terkesan terlalu mewah karena sparkle yang dihasilkan dari bahannya malah membuat kesan murahan. Tiga badge emas yang digunakan malah tidak terlalu bersinar.

Lain cerita dengan kostum per individu. Mulai dari turtleneck, sleeveless, gown, sampai ke aksesoris seperti gelang, kalung, choker, dan anting semuanya bagus. Yang cukup aneh adalah member mengenakan sepatu pantofel dan kaus kaki yang sama.

Overall, Influencer adalah MV yang ground-breaking dari aspek kedewasaan. Nogi dikenal memiliki rataan usia yang cukup tinggi untuk ukuran idol, karena 70% dari mereka kini sudah diatas 20 tahun. Hal ini juga jelas menjadi pertimbangan apakah seharusnya Nogi diujicobakan mendapat sesuatu yang lebih dewasa. Selain itu, banjirnya PB member belakangan ini juga mendukung skenario ini.

Aku tak masalah dengan Nogi menuju arah yang lebih dewasa. Stay di ballad bukan sesuatu yang baik, membuat perubahan adalah kewajiban. Kini dengan lagu yang berbeda dan MV yang berbeda pula, Nogi jelas berupaya meraup pasar sebanyak-banyaknya di awal tahun ini. Ambisi itu bagus, greedy bukan opsi, LLC. Tetaplah Nogi menjadi Nogi, purple line tetap purple line.
