Round 7 - Grand Finale
Alright everyone, we're here, the big one, the final matchup of the tournament. We've seen all 118 elements, and it's all come down to this. We've had upsets and walkovers, calls for all kinds of sweeps, and some incredibly close pairings.
Before we get to the poll I want to say thank you to everyone for the support, the fun and interesting propaganda, and for keeping everything friendly and civil. I've had a lot of fun with this tournament and I hope to be able to continue on after this, although I'm not quire sure where to go next. (I do have some small things planned in the meantime!)
That said, here we go!

Mercury 80 (Hg) - The one, the only, (well not quite but close enough) liquid metal that doesn't burn you. It'll just fuck you up in a bunch of other ways. Also knows as quicksilver, mercury is very useful for it's expansion and contraction with temperature changes, as well as its density.
vs
Bismuth 83 (Bi) - Rainbows and right angled crystal structures. It's radioactive but its half life is longer than the estimated age of the universe. Often used to replace lead as a less toxic alternative. Bismuth has a place in cosmetics, pigments, and pharmaceuticals, as part of a range of compounds.
Also a reminder, the winner is going to represent us in the @tournament-winners-tournament, going up against blorbos of all kinds from across the tumblr-poll-verse!

Anon feels like getting their first period was almost traumatic because of how deeply ashamed they felt about it, even though everything about it was normal and they knew it would happen.

Disclaimer: I know that some folks continue to wear some or all of these items in the 21st century. This is more asking what you wish would become fashionable again so you could wear it without receiving any second glances from strangers

Oxygen 8 (O) - You like breathing? That's what oxygen is for. Also for reacting in a high energy release way we usually call fire.

Some Firth!Darcy propaganda for the @hotjaneaustenmenpoll
Look at him running down the stairs while still getting dressed in order to properly welcome Elizabeth (whom he hasn't seen since the *proposal incident*).

Idk I'm going through it and wanna see how other people feel on it
This is not exclusive to people w/ vaginas/uteruses either! Transfemmes are capable of experiencing period symptoms even if they don’t have a uterus! Here is just one source of this, and you can find more w/ a simple Google search! I just think it's neat :]
