Just read your most recent post, and I'm thinking that Cap was reminded of Bucky the moment he met Cody and he's not coping in a healthy way.

That is true, and it has been pointed out in the past. Cody would remind Cap of Bucky.

I also said that I imagined that there would be moments where Cap would look at Cody and imagine if things had been different, would be able to have a family with Peggy and if he could've had a son like Cody.

And yeah, while I do imagine the bond between them being genuine, sincere, and sweet, I can see Cap subconsciously seeing Bucky when he looks at Cody at times. He wouldn't just see Cody as the son he could've had, but he might see him as, not necessarily a second Bucky or a replacement, but as kind of a way to make up for failing Bucky, to look after this boy the way he couldn't look after Bucky.

I think Bucky might eventually pick up on that, and along with assuring Cap that he did all he could, he would also have to remind Cap that while the bond he has with Cody is sweet, he isn't Cody's father and the kid already has a loving father.

people seriously pretending EEAAO is overrated suddenly bc it swept awards? it swept awards largely because it is very very very good. I cried like someone who's just had a religious revelation BOTH times I watched it bc it touched something raw and real and beautiful but it was also just very, very funny. everyone's performance kills and the concept is creative and interesting and doesn't distract from the emotional core. you guys are just contrarian.

I feel like I've complained about Tim's email situation in Gotham Knights before (edit: I have), but the truth of it is just so funny.

He's signed up for so many podcasts, video game streamers, and random news alerts; it's just a constant barrage of data going straight into his constantly whirring brain. Hell, he even floats the idea of the Batfamily having their own podcast as a way to correct misinformation about them (which Jason shoots down instantly), and it's made me realize something.

Timothy Drake would be a YouTuber.

In this universe specifically, Timothy Jackson Drake, the heir to Drake Industries and the foster son of the late Bruce Wayne would be a YouTuber.

Think about it. It'd be the perfect cover. Who would ever suspect that some 16-year-old nepo baby with a YouTube channel could ever be Red Robin? You'd have to be mad. I mean, look at him.

Red Robin just dropped out of literal thin air and garotted someone four times his size, and you expect anyone to believe that's the same kid who does 24-hour Minecraft charity streams and occasionally drops 6-hour video essays (his last one was on Lex Luthor's illegal bit mining operation on the moon)?

no HANG ON the fact that original timeline loki sacrificed everything to save the universe against thanos. and this timeline’s loki saw himself die saving his brother, his universe, in that time theatre, and he did it again. he sacrificed everything again to save the multiverse.

in both timelines, he went from having nothing, to having everything- a love for thor, for asgard, the universe, and a love for mobius, for the tva, for the multiverse- and his love for for everything was the very reason he sacrificed himself and went straight back to nothing again.

Jubilex, Lord of Ooze. Makes slime, summons slime, controls all slime, and is an incredibly corrosive slime constantly expelling poison. Can also restrain, of course. Here's a fun fact, despite what everyone seems to think, Jubilex is one of the most knowledgeable and intelligent creatures in existence. He knows the true names of the eldritch gods and thier goals, the true nature of the Abyss, and when desired can move with near unrivalled strategy. Creatures that even demon lords dare not speak in the presence of, and Juiblex reads them easily. None of that matters because he has 0 desire to use any of that. He hates politics and conversation and pretty much anyone that isn't a slime. Has no need for the power, he's happy to just roam his half of a domain and chuckle as he eats things. Just him and the oozes that feel happy just from being around him. He's older than any god or eldritch horror because he's stayed out of every conflict, just chilling with his slime friends. If you managed to pull this off...I mean, you'll be a legend just from getting him to like you enough, let alone if you survive.

Who of the Bots do you think could get along better with Captain America??

I feel that Chase would like Steve the most if it wasn't for how Steve ends up beating up the bad guys and letting some destruction on his way thanks to his shield XD

Blades would be a fanboy near Cap, looking on the internet and asking Chief all about Cap.

We know Boulder is just chill and would get along perfectly with any Avenger including Hulk (change my mind)

Heatwave (just like with Cody) would not get Cap but after knowing better and hearing his backstory Heatwave would feel complete respect for the man.

Also, did you know that Heatwave voice actor also did Wolverine 😀

Overall, I think that's exactly how I imagine Cap's relationships with the bots. Steve would be weirded out and surprised by learning of sentient robots from outer space, but he would get over that relatively quickly given everything he's witnessed since becoming an Avenger.

Honestly, I think Heatwave and him would get along the best, even if they start off a bit rocky, since Heatwave would be suspicious. Being close to Cody probably helps them find common ground. And maybe through Cap, he would make Heatwave reconsider his desire to be on the front lines in the war with the Decepticons, after hearing Steve's experiences in war.

Captain America would respect Chase as a law enforcer and appreciate his desire to uphold the law and would admit that maybe he can a bit destructive with his shield, but would assure him that it isn't intentional and try to keep damage to a minimum in Griffin Rock. Still, there are moments where he might think Chase is more focused on following the letter of the law rather than spirit of the law, which can frustrate him.

Steve and Boulder would be good friends and Steve would appreciate how friendly and calm Boulder is and they would get along almost, if not as much, as close as Heatwave and Captain would.

And yeah, I can see Blades becoming a fanboy for Captain America (Though maybe not as much as he is towards Bumblebee), which might overwhelm the poor captain a bit since he never thought a giant robot alien robot would be such a huge fan of him. But he would appreciate Blades and respect him.

#see one thing that confused me was that gwen stole bens watch before she sent him home like she already had hobies why does she need another #well. turns out it was probably because several members of the spiderband dont have their own either #(off the top of my head --- noir and ham werent at HQ so they dont seem to have been part of the spiderman society #pav as seen above didnt have one despite being in the society and hobie took his off when he quit) #so gwen probably had to track down quite a few extras actually unless hobie had a backlog of counterfeit multiverse watches on his hands #across the spiderverse #across the spiderverse spoilers #pavitr prabhakar #ok but the REAL thing i was thinking about with this post is that pav doesnt seem to know about canon events either #and despite jessica implying they had a way to contact him he also does not come back to HQ with the rest of the kids after the Spot Debacl #he doesnt seem to be able to multiverse-travel at all until gwen recruits him into the spiderband #so the implication here is that miguel doesnt generally let people become full members of spider society with all the associated privileges #unless hes sure that they'll be vulnerable and/or traumatize enough to buy into the ideology. which is kind of fucked up!
