Qing Jing Peak is set ablaze. The darkened demon disciple slaughters all in sight, slicing down the crowd in order to reach the sect's master, Shen Qingqiu. The fire spreads, smoke blooms, screams echo. It is the night a thousand voices are silenced.

This is what I have always envisioned to be what had happened before Luo Binghe defeated Shen Qingqiu and why Ning Yingying let Binghe believe that Shen Qingqiu molested her. Maybe the crime happened in the original online posted version, but in the original drafts I wondered if this was Airplane's true intentions. If most of Shen Qingqiu's crimes were false and he truly just doted on Ning Yingying, but she didn't vouch for her Shizun's innocence, perhaps this is why.

I feel like we're sleeping on the fact that, out of every crime Shen Jiu didn't commit, all the times it seemed he was out to get LBH the novel reveals he was in fact triple out to get LBH

Like instead of murdering a figurative War God his real crime was actually attemting and failing to murder a literal child at least 3 times

Like my goodness. I bet he would have pushed Lou Binghe regardless of demon heritage reveal or not. Too good an opportunity. Man was tossing and turning each night this "better me" continued to live

This is a 30-40 year old man talking about young teenagers:

"...the boy should long-since have died bleeding from every orifice with his major organs ruptured..."

And later:

"...so how come he could see [NYY and LBH] whispering in front of him every day!

This adult man literally believed his current favorite person, who is a little girl, was looking down on him and conspiring to ruin him whenever she giggled with a little boy he had purposefully set up to turn his own insides into a meat smoothie

One rule of being a demon is having a grand entrance. Also this is set the first months after the fall of Shen Yuan (Yuan-jun). He was found by some passerbys and immediately took him to Cang Qiong Palace because having the same face as the empress is technically treason (which they didn't know SY was the long lost twin!) Also Ming Fan and Ning YingYing are their majesties' personal attendants. They basically rank third to them (second being the demon lords)
