He goes looking for an extra coin he missed in a hard to reach cubby two stages back and ends up glitching through the floor twice, skipping three bosses and deletes the save file all in the span of maybe five minutes

• Mans will absolutely feast on any game with decent lore, but actually prefers cosier games like unpacking, minecraft, stardew valley (heavy on stardew). Will happily explore adventure/exploration type games, as well.

• Sits in the weirdest positions when gaming. Mate has both legs straddling the monitor and has folded himself in half like a fleshy garden chair, managing to somehow play the game upside down with maybe a sliver of screen /j

Soap:

• Can’t take shite seriously. Imagine like. A stream with markiplier, wade and ethan as one person. (Gaz is his bob /j)

• Mostly horror games, probably.

• Has gotten banned from multiple platforms bc of this mans OUTRAGEOUS swearing. He pulls out multiple languages, from Scottish to, like, Arabic (ty Farah 😇)

• Speaking of, I think he’s learning a couple of languages. This was bc he accidentally came across a game he really wanted to play that hadn’t been translated to English, so he started learning bits to play it, then he realised he actually really enjoyed learning languages and opening up new opportunities to interact with both games and fans :]

• Most in tune (besides maybe Gaz) with the slang and references his fans make. I like to imagine him saying ‘the girls are fighting’ whenever there’s any fights in a game giggle.

• Has fallen asleep on stream multiple times. Like, he decides to do a gaming marathon and straight up falls asleep in the middle of it. Also if this man doesn’t go to bed at, like, exactly 8pm he will fall asleep right then and there. He’s an old man at heart.

• Makes the stupidest faces. A plot twist had his jaw absolutely snapping to the floor, eyebrows peeking over the clouds and hands on his head. I bet he’s done it so much his jaw clicks.

Respectively, Chrissy Cunningham and Steve Harrington have their own followings on Twitch. Her combination of cozy games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley and rich story games like Detroit: Become Human and Until Dawn couldn't be more different from his retro gaming and Minecraft builds. Followers of both their streams have no idea that they're dating - or that they even know each other for that matter - until one afternoon when Steve accidentally walks in to ask Chrissy what she wants for dinner in the middle of one of her streams. Types of gamers I hc these fools to be (note: this only inclues characters I can remember off the top of my head) (modern au obvs)

Rose- Rose plays games like a crazy person. A speedrunner to her core. She even speedruns games like stardew valley. Her favorite game is probably Ultrakill. Has a streaming channel where she doesnt talk just decimates with ruthless efficiency the whole game while chat gapes silently in awe. Breaks almost every speedrunning reccord she can. Mostly plays horror or fighting games. Gets every achievement.

Belladonna: Belladonna plays games where she can hit things with hammers or solve puzzles. Plays shit like hotline Miami or portal 2. Terrible at multiplayer fighting games. Streamed ddlc once and got the shit scared out of her. Mostly action games and rune factory.

Lily: Chill minecraft streamer. Sometimes does art for a stream, or animal crossing. Sometimes she and Rose will collab on an animal crossing stream and Lily will get increasingly distressed (affectionate) by Rose's un-chill gameplay style. Harvest moon.

Kivan: Lily's co-streamer. Mostly does animal crossing, and also does art streams. Multiplayer stresses him out, but he still mains Bridget in guilty gear. He thinks hes really bad at fighting games. He is not. Plays games like ddlc and such in his free time. Stardew valley.

Madam Spiceberry: Streams cute and nice games. Most people stay for her charming voice and kind words. Mostly minecraft as well. Plays games like Rune Factory (specifically 4) and Harvest Moon, mostly. Bad at fighting games.

Opal: Bad at fighting games bc they get bored of it. Very good at fishing games though, for some reason? They love the game Dredge so much. A huge fan of "chill" horror games. Loves open world games and platformers like Slime Rancher.

Carter: A sweet and kind streamer with a gentle voice & comforting voice who exclusively fighting and horror games. Will be gently talking about her day while running from a murderous rabbit in game. Does a lot of sweet little cooking streams too. Also playing Dredge.

Isbeth- Doesnt know what a computer is

Radiance- Streams completely random games at random times. Her subscribers are deeply confused by her. Gets every achievemen.

The Chronicler: Gets EVERY achievement and skin and collectable and etc. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Loves playing games like Slime Rancher. Is secretly running an arg in the background. Also has a book restoration channel.

OH AND LUX- The type of streamer to own cat ear headphones idk. Also a minecraft streamer. Plays a lot of "meme" horror games. Him and Rose stream together sometimes and its hilarious because its all him talking and her completely carrying him through the game

I think that for heart health awareness day, she does a whole stream talking about her struggles with her heart condition and answers questions about it and talks about what to do if you see someone having a heart attack or failure or has a medical alert bracelet like she does.

Pike and Scanlan write a song together on stream. It's something stupid where Pike wrote the lyrics and challenged him to make a decent song out of the bullshit she wrote. And it gets clipped so much exclusively for the way Scanlan's face lights up when he makes her laugh with his song.

Each of them have a charity that they donate part of their earnings to every month and then once a year the seven of them get together and do a massive stream to raise money for all of those charities where certain goals unlock games they can play or challenges they have to complete. The most expensive one is always Percy dying his hair but they have yet to reach it.

Grog and Vax have a very popular Stardew Valley series where it's mostly Vax trying to remember what Keyleth taught him about the game and Grog just fucking around and every hour or so shouting across the house to Kiki for help.

I know it's 13 days into the New Year but I have been beaten down with tons of things to do in office. Anyway, despite the lateness of this post, here are some things to expect for the year 2024.

First off, my anime reviews.

I am going to continue with my anime reviews and an upcoming one would be church-themed related. My list is ever growing but it is lesser now compared to when i first started this series.

However, my ability to watch the anime that I want to watch depends on whether they are available on the streaming platforms that I subscribed to. Still, there are enough anime to review for the next half year.

Secondly, my games.

I know addressed my games in my 2023 game reviews, including the anticipating games for 2024. However, there is so many that I need to look into which I should target first.

Firstly, I definitely will be playing Hogwarts Legacy. I have been waiting for a huge discount to the game on Steam and it finally came last year. I have yet to start but the plan for the game is to go through all four Houses, mainly for the House-exclusive quests.

Another game I am considering to take up would be Palia. Since it is advertised to be like a combination of Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Pokemon, it would mean that there are tons of things to do in the game. However, given that I am still using a laptop to play, I am greatly worried about my memory space. I still have school to do deal with.

Finally, my recording of gameplays.

I have tons to record, tons to edit, and tons to upload... This is excluding that I have thumbnails to create for my YouTube. The only available time I have to do all of those is on the weekends.

I think it's high time I create a schedule that works for me and stick to it. Currently, I am just going with the flow. The only problem I see that may be a hindrance to this schedule would be last minute appointments made by my parents.

Anyway, this year is what I hope to be a fruitful year for my socials and whatnots. There will also be certain periods that I will be gone since I am going to travel overseas. It is the first family vacation in a very long time and I am very excited.

Hopefully, things will go well in this year, and that my studies would be smooth sailing so that I can graduate faster and focus on what I want to do.

izou and salieri start a new stardew valley multiplayer game w arjuna bc the new update is coming up and they need to catch him up on current mechanics/events so he can appreciate it

arjuna creates an incredibly complex private minecraft server for him and salieri and izou in return for letting him play stardew with them. respawn with no item loss, a bunch of retextures, QoL mods. they have fun after the initial battles over a small patch of spruce trees.

this is separate from the giant minecraft server that all of chaldea is in (state of constant warfare most toxic thing youve ever seen) and the 100 club server (not actually exclusive to them but its a lot smaller and youre allowed in if you promise to be mostly chill)

salieri writing and producing merlins vtuber stream intro and outro for the low low price of all of his desserts as long as hes in chaldea forever and ever

merlin is not invited to stardew multiplayer because he ""plays the game wrong"" (read: he is more focused on heart events and story stuff getting done at his own pace then min/maxxing or being sure to get all the fish in a season)

arjuna is a sonic speedrunner in my heart forever so he dedicates a lot of time to that but doesnt stream it, just records without player sound. no one else is running sonic currently so the entire leaderboard is him against himself and he still gets so frustrated abt it. its sad but also moe.

murasaki and oberon have their own stardew multiplayer game but oberon has used cheats to get them 99 of every item so they can just relax and play all the character stuff at their own pace.

scathach fighting game grind never stops shes in the arcade shes hogging the ps4 shes kinda rude about it but shes really good. square up.

omg girl u have come to the RIGHT place ! story-based games are my shit ok... im gonna start by doing a lil self-plug which is that i’m streaming one i really love called firewatch tonight (at 7pm PST hehe) on my twitch so we can start with that one. its such a pretty game and has a really touching story. but that aside, non-exhaustive list below:

the last of us — i havent played the second one yet, but both 1&2 are playstation exclusive i believe and the first one is probably one of the greatest games ever made. better than most movies i’ve watched story-wise; i fell in love with the characters and i doubt anyone could play this without shedding a few tears.

the walking dead by telltale — same studio that made the wolf among us (which i fucking love also), and all four seasons of this game are a masterpiece. clementine is probably my all time favorite video game character, and there were some side characters who i really sobbed over during the course of the game. plus all the characters you play as are characters of color so there’s a specific attention to diverse viewpoints there!

life is strange — i would hope you’d have played this already if you like story games, but if not, go play the original game ASAP (LiS2 is alright, but the first one is what really shines) and you can also play the prequel before the storm. beautiful atmosphere, attention to detail, gameplay mechanics, etc. good good shit

dragon age — HELLO my fave shit omg, again not to self-plug but i’m gonna be doing a stream series of this and starting with an intro to the lore for beginners because there is serious worldbuilding for these games and the storylines are immaculate. there’s three so far and including the various DLC you will be entertained for weeks if not months.

mass effect — made by the same studio as dragon age, essentially it’s dragon age in space. same great characters, worldbuilding, plotlines, etc. just... ignore andromeda and only play the main three ME games.

uncharted — i will fucking die for naughty dog games omg so they also made the last of us plus all 4 uncharted games and these ones are SO much fun. much less emotional turmoil, think indiana jones in the present day with an extra serving of wisecracking banter and there you go. really excellent fully fleshed out female characters as well. nathan drake is a treasure.

until dawn — more of a horror game but has weirdly excellent actors (hello rami malek???) and a super cool/creepy story with not so much focus on combat (more QTE based) which helps when you’re just there to be entertained. i love this game, i’m not a huge horror person myself but it’s just so good and your choices really impact the outcome.

oxenfree — deeply underrated game with some of my favorite voice acting ever, such a gorgeous art style, and an incredible and resonant story. so much lore to unpack here too, this game was really made with so much love (like there is deadass a morse code message hidden in the beat of the main song that leads to an irl mystery... google that shit its so cool) and it has major replay value. lots of choices to make and they all impact the ending in a ton of ways.

pillars of eternity — i actually liked the second one more than the first one and i enjoyed them both a lot so that’s saying something! you can play on easy mode and ignore the fighting and there’s tons of quests and choices to make and an interesting story/mystery to uncover. plus in the second one you get a pirate ship.

divinity original sin 2 — played this recently and it’s definitely more of a combat game, but as with POE you can just play on the easiest setting lol and then explore the game for its world and storyline. similar to POE in that it’s quest-based as well, the characters are super well done, and it’s all voice-acted which is nice.

star wars knights of the old republic (aka KOTOR) — listen this game is old as hell and looks like ass but its so good. idk what else to say i mean its literally like 20 years old and people are still playing it. there’s a ton of mods you can download to make it look better, but the storyline and the plot twist hold up as one of the all time greats. i’ve replayed it and the sequel multiple times. even if you don’t like star wars, worth it.

stardew valley — HELLO THIS GAME IS SO CUTE its essentially just harvest moon and yes it’s pixel graphics but it’s so charming and the characters are very enchanting. there’s not a ton of story but it’s still worth a play as it’s just very soothing and earnest. i’ve logged like 200+ hours in this game lmao

Aw hell I was so busy yesterday that I didn't do this thing okay so

October is over it's time for the goals check in

Now, I was on covid isolation for a literal half of this month. I did not have covid, but my mom did. She's fine now. But basically that meant I had to spend two weeks pretty much exclusively in my room. Which I suppose I could have used to do more writing and reading and applying for jobs. But I didn't. I actually used most of the time to secretly play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and Persona 5 Royal. And you know what? I don't really feel guilty for that. I mean I kind of do. But I kind of don't. Anyhow.

1. Write 250 words each day I did not. Most days I didn't write at all. I did write some though. So there is that. This upcoming/current month is now November. Some people write entire novels in November. The least I can do is get back into writing. 2. Read 55 books this year I finished reading five books this month. They were each very short poetry books, and one of them was half finished before the month began. But also I've read 128 books this year. Possibly more depending on whether or not you count the Half Price Books training manuals as more than one book. I counted the first one I read but not the other ones. I'm gonna count it all as one for the final count, but yeah. Anyway this goal has already been slammed face first in the dust with how hard I've accomplished it. So that's fine. That's fine.

3. Get A Full Time Job I've got a full time job. It's not the one I want but I've got it and I still have it more than a month later. I'm gonna reward myself for this with a desktop computer. That was always the plan anyway. It's fine. I really should be putting in more applications but jesus christ you guys I'm so tired. I'm trying. I've technically accomplished this one. So. Yeah.

4. Move Out this one, however, I feel no closer to accomplishing.

5. Drink Less Soda Yeah again this one is super easy because the bar for accomplishing it is so very low.

6. Get Something Published Okay so the new Issue of Fuckit came out yesterday and it contains 4 whole poems of my own writing in it so yknow what I got published 4 times in October. This year I've gotten 6 poems published in Fuckit, 1 poem published in The Green Light, and 1 fanfiction piece published in Eclipse. One fanzine, three issues of a regular zine, one online literary journal. This upcoming/current month of November, I will submit my poetry manuscript to a publisher. Let's fuckin GOOOOOOOOO

7. Finish Writing A Legitimate Businessman Finished in April 8. Write More The Revelation of Takaya According to Jin Finished in February 9. Finish Playthroughs Started some new ones instead.

10. Record More Ukulele Videos I did not do this.

11. Record Let's Plays I got to secretly stream about an hour and a half of Stardew Valley this month! The video is up on youtube! I didn't realize my microphone was muted until half an hour in. Whoopsie. But that way if you want to watch Stardew Valley without any commentary, you can do that for half an hour! And the commentary is quiet for the rest of it. Anyhow. 12. Duolingo? It's fine. I've made liberal use of streak freezes but my streak is still technically unbroken from when I started just before new years.
