Im not gonna lie, I'm in love with McKenna Grace so happy with the ghostbusters movies. I don't really care about how they're a cash grab or purely working off nostalgia. I don't care about how it's full of nepotism babies and Paul Rudd (for some reason?) and I don't care about how it's not the same as the original movie and its sequel. Obviously not, this isn't the 80s. The effects are gonna look a little more HD, making the old ones seem cheesy. Even my aunts boyfriend thought that it wasn't as good because it wasn't as scary. I had to remind him that he watched the first two movies when he was 6 and they were reruns. I wasn't even that scared of the og ghostbusters when I was little cause it was compared to movies like idk the ring and Scooby Doo(2002) (like idk, point is, eggs cooking on counter tops aren't that freighting)

There are two movie franchises that I will watch no matter what. Jurassic Park/ World and Ghostbusters. Obviously I have a major bias for these movies but I think people will take their honorary movie critic certificate and act like they know the pinnacle of film because they saw the Godfather at 16. (Probably haven't even seen Alice (1988)) Obviously these movies are working off nostalgia bait but for what it is I'd watch both Afterlife and Frozen Empire again and again. Sorry for the schpeel I just want more fanfiction about Phoebe and that Ghost Girl

COMMENTS/random headcanons:

salvatore hates texting with a passion and refuses to do it if he can help it. he also texts like an old man on the occasions he does--perfect capitalization and punctuation, adds noses to his emoticons, lots of ellipses, etc. it took months for billy to get him to stop signing his texts.

he never had much of a sweet tooth in life, but now as a vampire he doesn't have much of a sense of taste anymore. in a way, he really misses being able to taste sugar like he used to.

though he was never much of a reader, especially once he was withdrawn from school, his favorite book growing up was the catcher in the rye. his childhood copy was one that previously belonged to his cousin scott--sal liked reading scott's careful notes in the margins almost more than the book itself at times.

im so sorry but i really dont identify with the hype around other maruaders era characters. by other, i mean especially barty (and rosier) i just dont care for them. theyre unknown characters to me that i cannot be bothered with at all. regulus is my darling baby boy only bcs i write about the marauders, and he's p significant to sirius. barty crouch jr i really dont💀 his biggest (and only) appeal to me is that he was david tenant but that's hardly even a point for me.

Potentially controversial take, but uh. Disliking female characters - even the ones dating or involved with your favourite male characters - is not inherently misogynistic.

Especially when literal canon gives more than enough reason to dislike those characters.

Anyway, at the end of the day, these characters aren't real. You're not hurting anybody by hating them (as long as you're not extending the hate to the people who play them, that's weird, don't do that). You're not a bad person for finding some characters unlikeable.
