[id: screenshot of a tiktok of a woman with the text: while you’re struggling to pay your rent this month I just want you to remember that israel gets subsidized housing, subsidized groceries, free healthcare, updated infrastructure because the USA and Germany has given them multi billion dollars in citizen tax money.]
this is a dangerous narrative. the “im struggling to pay my rent because of my taxes and my taxes go to subsidize cushy lives in israel” is dangerous and a short logical leap from “jews are stealing our hard earned money. the working class and poor are oppressed by jews.”
and that’s not how the money works, much of it goes towards the military and “aid packages” represent value not liquid cash (so weapons sent are represented in $$$ form.) and the state operates the way above bc ben gurion & co were socialists. plus, as far as i know, things are relatively similar to the uk with high costs of living but subsidized housing, public healthcare etc.
money from germany often does not go whatsoever into the pockets of israeli holocaust survivours (which is what it’s desiginated for as holocaust reparations (and bc companies that significantly contribute to the german GDP collaborated with nazis/used the labour of enslaved jews) ) (NOTE: it's military aid; money to compensate holocaust victims and survivors ended in 2018, which as i mentioned, did not go into individuals pockets) let alone israelis who are not survivours. many holocaust survivours living there live in poverty. there are literally videos of some picking through refuse produce.
it’s deeply heinous that palestinian american & palestinian german taxes go in part towards the weapons used to genocide palestinians including their own families. OP's post is not about that. she is not acknowledging that or really any connection between the USA and the occupation forces. instead OP is making it sound like israelis live comfortable lives with little expenditures off of the backs of american workers which is a few steps away from protocols shit at best. the idea that jews are enslaving or profitting off on those who are not jewish, especially the working class & poor, is textbook antisemitic conspiracy.

They're not as original, sure, but I am fond of Stefania's emigré Wiadomości articles because she gets to flex on the fly that she is professionally fluent in five (5) languages including Hungarian lol. Remember how she was the first woman to get certified as a court interpreter in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, for Hungarian and Polish? Well in her London emigré-exile Stefania also becomes an official court interpreter for Hungarian and English. Nobody was doing it like Stefania 😎😎😎

istg i have never seen a supplement more misunderstood than melatonin, like folks straight up do NOT understand what it is, how it works, or what it’s good for....
#like it literally does not do what folks seem to believe it does#i just saw a post where the OP made a silly/goofy post - in the Little German Boy format#and the OP later did a funny reblog that said 'don't double up on your melatonin'#implying that... idk... that taking two doses is gunna make you crazy loopy and make you make Silly-Billy Tumblr Posts?#shut up#literally not how it works#melatonin is not a fucking sleeping pill y'all#stop acting like it's the equivalent of ambien#also STOP TAKING MELATONIN LONG TERM#like if your circadian rhythm is messed up you should take melatonin for a few weeks#to get things back on track - that's why it's so helpful for jet lag#it's a REGULATORY neurotransmitter#well it's neurotransmitter-adjacent at least#technically it's a hormone but whatevs#it REGULATES your circadian rhythm#you don't pop one and get totally crazy or weird or knocked out#whatever loopy effects you might have experienced are likely just placebo#you expect it to make you loopy cause that's what everyone says it does#so you perceive being loopy#and you need to take it in short stents#taking it long term can mess with your sleep cycle#also nightmares#there's some evidence of long-term melatonin usage (higher doses) being somewhat associated with increased frequency of nightmares#also other side effects can happen with long term usage#nausea vomiting poor sleep etc....#sorry i'm just venting#this is just... one of my pet peeves#there isn't even good evidence in the literature supporting melatonin for insomnia#it's honestly best for jet lag#and a few other specific sleep conditions involving disregulation of circadian rhythm

I know it’s the year of Our Lord 2022 and the moment for this thought to be Relevant(TM) is long since past, but it never once sat right with me that one of the primary ways a certain demographic of American liberals made fun of Donald Trump was that his grandfather, an immigrant, probably anglicized his last name.

Please also ruin Konig tho. Yes he's big and scary, yes he's also baby, and yes he would do anything the reader asked of him. Like if she begs him to manhandle her, how can he say no??? It would kill him to deny her of something 😌
i like the idea of making such a massive man cry.
kinda nsfw under the cut
NSFW, kinda gen!neutral reader; nothing fleshed out just wondering what it would be like to suck König off until he cries. this is mostly just me rambling. he gives me very gentle!sub vibes.
probably not what you were going for, op! sorry; but i watched some videos and now i just??? wanna see him tremble and cry and fist the sheets until his knuckles turn white, begging you in broken English and German that so thick and slurred, that a native Austrian would have no idea what he was saying to let him cum because he's been sooooo good. and i went a little crazy. might flesh this out later.
—dragging it out until his massive thighs are quivering under your hands, until he's begging you to stop while he chokes on his sobs
—trying to make him break: he's so gentle all the time, and pushing him to his limit until he grabs you? takes what he wants? and then immediately apologises for "hurting" you? hot.
—when he gets desperate from all the teasing, and can't stop his hips from rutting up, trying to force more and more of him in your mouth
—the stammers in an amalgamation of broken English and German as he begs you to let him cum - he's been so good, hasn't he?? - and apologises for not behaving earlier, so please please please, he can't take it, anymore—
—his filthy, choked moans when he finally does cum, voice thick from the tears you made him spill, and chanting your name in a warbled hymn as you swallow every drop
—that unbearably endearing determination when he turns to you, and says it's his turn to make you feel good; his fierce grit undermined by the nervous shake of his hands, the red eyes that stare at you, glossy from his tears, and the little sniffles he lets out, muffled by his mask
—making him choke on his spit when you tell him how good he tastes
(it might break him, then, when you tell him you want to sit on his cute, tear-stained face—)

not to be pretentious or anything but I legit think whoever wrote König's bio was on some xgames shit. Like if we think about it, without his bio he's just some guy with a German-adjacent accent? The veil is kind of interesting, especially knowing it's a t-shirt, but a lot of people would just write him off as a Krueger clone. Richtofen from Black Ops has more personality.
But then someone, in exactly 119 words, conveyed so much and yet so little about who he is as a person? A lot of veterans come home with PTSD and anxiety, but König has always had anxiety, and he still chose to enlist at 17, which presents a lot of intriguing possibilities for what kind of childhood he had and what kind of person it molded him into. The fact that he was bullied as a child serves as a juxtaposition with "too big to be a sniper", which is at least 6'5". That's a big ass man. Did he hit a crazy growth spurt? Did the kids make fun of him specifically for being big? Was he a violent person in his youth, or did that manifest in the military?
Can you imagine hoping to become a sniper, a position that involves a high degree of skill and a fair amount of distance, and instead being assigned to be an insertion specialist, kicking down doors in the thick of it and frightening hostages? Quite a few people have explored this aspect of his character: is he bitter about that? Is he jealous of snipers? We know he holds some amount of resentment because of his "and they said I couldn't be a sniper" voice line, how would that tie into any insecurities carried over from childhood?
All of this also puts his voicelines into new context. Most if not all of the operators shit talk, yell, and cheer, but König seems to take a sort of vicious pleasure in what he does. He's confident in his abilities, bordering on arrogant. Part of this is probably just his accent, but it's another piece in the big guy/anxiety/YOU MISSED ME! puzzle. I love seeing how people reconcile these parts of him into a fleshed-out character. A lot of people deride people who like König despite him not being part of the story and only having a short bio to characterize him, but I think that's a good thing, and presents a lot of room for people to speculate and explore. That's kind of his appeal, at least to me.

also another thing abt that stupid “jews are not an ethnic group they’re not foreigners they’re german/french/syrian/etc.” (other than the fact it erases several thousand years of persecution based solely on the fact we were seen and treated as unwanted foreigners, including not only times within living memory but also as recent as two years ago) is that it asserts that jews should be loyal to the nation they live in above all else, including our connection to other communities of jews. which is funny bc in the same post the op talks abt dismantling nation states, so i’d like to know what exactly it is we’re supposed to be loyal to, but it’s also disturbing bc it reasserts the idea that any jew who feels a sense of loyalty to jews outside of their own immediate community cannot be trusted, that they’re trying to fabricate a connection in order to maintain some sort of power through international connections to other jewish communities. could have sworn there was a phrase for that.

After sleeping on it I'm still baffled by this entire chain of posts:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Like I did a very thorough explanation of how ethnicity applying to Jews and other peoples literally dates to the Septuagint Greek translation of the Torah and also how this isn't what ethnicity means but like. Lol. Lmao.
"Syrian Jews are not foreigners in Syria."
Hey quick question everyone: how many Syrian Jews actually live in Syria?
Follow up: why did half of the Jewish population of Aleppo flee Aleppo?
Which Zionists talk about the nature of their ancient blood being why they don't live in Germany as opposed to like, the reason for not living in Germany being the mass genocide and displacement of German jews? I'd love to study them in their natural habitat. I've never met them. Maybe this is a new strain of Israeli ethnonationalism but most Israeli ethnonationalist talking points I've seen were not "we don't live in Germany because we think Nazis were right about the whole blood and soil thing." I ...I think there's maybe some fringe extreme folks who believe the Holocaust was some kind of divine punishment for living elsewhere but like...my impression was this was a small group that most ardent right wing Zionists don't even agree with or take seriously.
Does op know there IS a German Jewish community, and if so, do they know how big it is?
Are Palestinians no longer a singular ethnic group if they exist in diaspora, have other countries of residence, or speak different languages? That seems counterintuitive to what we're trying to argue here.
And again ACADEMIC EMBARRASSMENT SHLOMO SAND?!?? THE ONE EVERYONE SAID WAS WRONG ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC ARGUMENT??

But Germany’s performances of repentance have their limits. They do not extend, for example, to the genocide the German colonial army committed in Namibia against Herero and Nama people between 1904 and 1908, killing tens of thousands. Germany did not officially apologize for those bloody acts until 2021 and has not agreed to pay meaningful reparations to descendants of the victims. If the new German identity relies on isolating the Holocaust as a shameful aberration in national history and nullifying it via solemn remembrance, there is little room for the memory of colonial violence in the nation’s self-mythology. Genocide scholar Dirk Moses named this approach the “German catechism” in a 2021 essay that sparked heated debate. “The catechism implies a redemptive story in which the sacrifice of Jews in the Holocaust by Nazis is the premise for the Federal Republic’s legitimacy,” wrote Moses. “That is why the Holocaust is more than an important historical event. It is a sacred trauma that cannot be contaminated by profane ones—meaning non-Jewish victims and other genocides—that would vitiate its sacrificial function.”
Accordingly, Germany now sees its post-Holocaust mandate as encompassing not a broader commitment against racism and violence but a specific fealty to a certain Jewish political formation: the State of Israel. Germany has relied on its close diplomatic relationship to Israel to emphasize its repudiation of Nazism, but its connection to the Jewish state goes even further. In 2008, then-chancellor Angela Merkel addressed the Israeli Knesset to declare that ensuring Israel’s security was part of Germany’s “Staatsraison,” the state’s very reason for existence. If asked why it is worth preserving a German nationalism that produced Auschwitz, Germany now has a pleasing, historically symmetrical answer—it exists to support the Jewish state.
To that end, in recent years, Germany’s laudable apparatus for public cultural funding has been used as a tool for enacting a 2019 Bundestag resolution declaring that the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Israel is antisemitic. Although the resolution is technically nonbinding, its passage has led to an unending stream of firings and event cancellations, and to the effective blacklisting of distinguished academics, cultural workers, artists, and journalists for offenses like inviting a renowned scholar of postcolonialism to speak, tweeting criticism of the Bundestag resolution, or having attended a Palestinian solidarity rally in one’s youth. A network of antisemitism commissioners—a system explored in this issue in a feature by Peter Kuras—has been deputized to monitor such offenses. These commissioners are typically white, Christian Germans, who speak in the name of the Jews and often playact Jewishness on a public stage, posing for photo ops in yarmulkes, performing Jewish music, wearing the uniform of the Israeli police, and issuing decrees on who is next in the pillory. When they tangle with left-wing Jews in Germany, canceling their events and attacking them as antisemites in the pages of various newspapers, they suggest what Germany’s antisemitism commissioner Felix Klein has said directly: That the Jews are not being sensitive enough to what antisemitism means to the Germans—that, in fact, these Jews do not understand antisemitism at all. In a perverse twist, the fact that the Germans were the most successful antisemites in history has here become a credential. By becoming the Jews’ consummate protectors, Germans have so thoroughly absorbed the moral lessons bestowed by Jewish martyrdom that they have no more need for the Jew except as symbol; by the logic of this strange supersessionism, Germans have become the new Jews. This is not only a matter of rhetorical authority on Jewish matters but is also often literal, as this self-reflexive philosemitism has led to a wave of German converts to Judaism. According to Tzuberi, “The Jewish revival is desired precisely because it is a German revival.”
If Jews are negated by this formulation, Palestinians are villainized by it. Last year, when the German state banned Nakba Day demonstrations, only days after the murder of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, police justified this suppression by claiming, in a familiar racist trope, that protesters would not have been able to contain their violent rage. Indeed, in Germany Palestinian identity itself has become a marker of antisemitism, scarcely to be spoken aloud—even as the country is home to the largest Palestinian community in Europe, with a population of around 100,000. “Whenever I would mention that I was Palestinian, my teachers were outraged and said that I should refer to [Palestinians] as Jordanian,” one Palestinian German woman speaking of her secondary school education told the reporter Hebh Jamal. Palestinianness as such has thus been stricken from German public life. In The Moral Triangle, a 2020 anthropological study of Palestinian and Israeli communities in Germany by Sa’ed Atshan and Katharina Galor, many Palestinians interviewed said that to speak of pain or trauma they’ve experienced due to Israeli policy is to destroy their own futures in Germany. “The Palestinian collective body is inscribed as ontologically antisemitic until proven otherwise. Palestinians, in this sense, are collateral damage of the intensifying German wish for purification from antisemitism,” wrote Tzuberi.

This hypocrisy is so sad to see in real time.
"Don't use dogwhistles so Jews and PoC feel safe around you"
*gets called out for antisemitism on blog*
"90% of Jews should feel unsafe!"
I'd laugh if it wasn't horrifying.
I'd clap back at them but I was blocked :(
Hi Nonnie!
I don't clap back at anti-Zionists, because they don't deserve the attention, nor the added notes on their posts, but I think you did something meaningful in your ask, and I wanna highlight that, because you deserve the attention and applause.
So, someone who's anti-women, but doesn't wanna come across that way, will claim to just be speaking against feminists, and that there's no connection between women and feminists, because not all women are feminists! "Here," they'd say, "a tokenized anti-feminist woman!" But there is an intrinsic connection between the two, which is why it's no surprise that most women are, in fact, feminists.
The same goes for Zionism. Just like feminists wanted the right to vote to be equally applied to women, Zionists want the right to self-determination to be equally applied to Jews. Just as feminism is the liberation movement of women, Zionism is the liberation movement for Jews. Zionism is inherent to Jewish identity, and it's no coincidence that the overwhelming majority of Jews are Zionists.
One indicator that anti-feminism works to hurt women, is to take an anti-feminist statement, and replace "feminist" with "most women." Here's an example:
"Feminists are incapable of crafting a coherent argument using their words." -> Most women are incapable of crafting a coherent argument using their own words. Does that sound anti-women?
So a quick way to see that anti-Zionist statements are antisemitic, is to replace "Zionists" with "the majority of Jews," exactly as you have done, and see if it sounds antisemitic (every single one of the following examples is real, posted on Tumblr):
"Zionists should never feel safe" -> The majority of Jews should never feel safe.
"I don't want Zionists among us" -> I don't want the majority of Jews among us.
"Zionists always lie" -> The majority of Jews always lie.
"Arm yourself with knowledge to defeat Zionists" -> Arm yourself with knowledge to defeat the majority of Jews.
"Fuck Zionists" -> Fuck the majority of Jews.
Regarding the OP's post (not the antisemite's reblog), I wanna mention that OP's introduction of "dogwhistles" is kinda lacking. I mean, everything they said is true, but there are additional dogwhistles that they didn't address, ones which are more encoded than their examples.
For example, one dogwhistle neo-Nazis use is the numbers 18 (like in German neo-Nazi group "Combat 18") and 88. A is the 1st letter in the Latin alphabet, H is the 8th, so 18 is AH (stands for Adolf Hitler) and 88 is HH (stands for Heil Hitler, the Nazi greeting). On the surface, these are just innocent numbers, but for Jews who are familiar with neo-Nazi dogwhistles...
Another example of a dogwhistle is one that I've had an anti-Zionist type of antisemite use with me once. She's a Muslim young woman, I won't say from which country, but one that's very hostile to Israel, and where there's no free press. One antisemitic thing she said was that none of the prophets of Islam were Jews. Just a quick reminder, the prophets of Islam include mostly Jews, like Abraham (mispronounced as Ibrahim in Arabic), the patriarch of the entire Jewish nation, Moses, who delivered the Jews from Egypt (Moussa), King David (Daoud) and Jesus (Issa). Denying their Judaism is an antisemitic act easily called out by most people. But this woman also said to me, "Go plant gharqad trees." This one most people will miss. There is a Muslim hadith (a saying attributed to Muhammad, but reported by someone else), which states: "The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: oh Muslim, oh the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews." This hadith is quoted in the founding charter of Hamas. So in this context, "Go plant gharqad trees," is telling a Jewish person to prepare themself for the extermination of Jews. It's a genocidal dogwhistle. Ironically, this dogwhistle is so common, it has actually become its own anti-Israel propaganda piece, circulated in anti-Israel circles, where they claim that Israeli Jews are ordered to plant gharqad trees.
And one more example of a dig whistle! The infamous "From the river to the sea" qualifies. On the surface, it sounds like a peaceful chant for the liberation of a people. In reality, it is the English translation of a racist and genocidal slogan, stating that ALL of the land between the river and the sea (meaning, the territories currently under Palestinian rule AND Israel) will be Arab. To a Jewish person, this is at the very least a call for an ethnic cleansing via expulsion of the Jews, but we all know that this won't happen through just expelling the Jewish population, so an Arab country covering all of Israel will only exist through the shedding of a lot of Jewish blood. It IS genocidal.
Lastly, the incrdible @tzomet-spy-pigeon made a really important addition, pointing out that OP has actually posted antisemitic dogwhistles themselves, of the anti-Zionist variety of antisemitism. So I just wanna make it clear: people who come out against one type of antisemitism (such as the white supremacist kind) are NOT exempt from being guilty of perpetuating others (like the anti-Zionist kind).

I want to preface this question by saying that it is in genuine good faith, I am a communist exploring the issues they have with the various branches and not trying to stir the pot, and you seem pretty thoughtful and clear-headed so I hope you don't mind my asking.
To be direct - what do MLs make of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and the following Soviet-Nazi Commerical Agreements?
Naturally I recognise that a lot of what's said in the West about the USSR is propaganda, and I absolutely recognise & respect Lenin's leadership, but I really don't see a way around the fact that Stalin sold oil to Hitler, and as the descendent of a Ukrainian Jew who fled the famine and crossed the continent to escape the rising tide of violent anti-Semitism I don't feel that I could, in good conscience, ally myself with people who support a leader that had any sort of positive relations with the Nazis, no matter how MLs otherwise do have strong merits.
Omg a good-faith question on Stalin and the Holodomor, I feel honored, thanks for you calmness, anon. Everything you've asked I've already made a post about it, or a far more informed tumblr comrade has made a post about it, so I'll just link/quote those ^^
Molotov-Ribbentrop:
(I wanted to put the text of the post here in an indent but it's not letting me post it with it so.)
Personally I'm not as informed on the commercial agreements as I am regarding the pact, so I will not say much in detail except that, knowing the foreign policy of the USSR at this time, it was probably wagered that the trade would have benefited the USSR more than it did Germany. Of course, there are many things to criticize about their foreign policy without having to resort to meaningless handwringing about "totalitarianism" and horseshoe theory. It is doubtless that, in the time of peace when the trades happened (assuming it is a simple as the USSR just selling oil to Germany), this helped fuel their conquest and oppression. It is also doubtless that the benefit it brought to the USSR contributed to their eventual victory.
Before talking about the Holodomor, a quick quote on anti-semitism in the USSR pre-WW2:
It was German practice as they entered Soviet territories to encourage the local populace to engage in pogroms against the Jews as a first stage in their genocidal policy. They had some success in those areas which had become part of the Soviet Union since 1939 but in the Soviet Union proper there was no evidence of spontaneous anti-Semitism. A Jewish historian commentated that “In Byelorussia, a conspicuous difference is evidenced between the old Soviet part of the region and the area which had previously belonged to Poland and was under Soviet rule from September 1939 to June 1941. Nazi and anti-Jewish propaganda drew a weak response in the former Soviet Byelorussia: we encounter complaints in Nazi documents that, ‘it is extremely hard to incite the local populace to pogroms because of the backwardness of the Byelorussian peasants with regard to racial consciousness.’” Another view of the cause of the racial attitudes in Byelorussia was given in a secret memorandum by a collaborator to the chief of the German army in August 1942. He wrote: “There is no Jewish problem for the Byelorussian people. For them, this is purely a German matter. This derives from Soviet education which has negated racial difference … The Byelorussians sympathize with, and have compassion for the Jews, and regard the Germans as barbarians and the hangman of the Jew, whom they consider human beings equal to themselves …”
The Russians are Coming: The Politics of Anti-Sovietism, by V. L. Allen
The USSR managed like no other European country to so effectively suppress antisemitism in an region that just 30 or 40 years prior was witness to pogroms.
The Holodomor: (This is a reblog and not the original post because OP is deactivated).
This is I think a good summary of my beliefs and it's well sourced. Basically, it wasn't a genocide, but a famine which was part of a long historical cycle of famines in the general region. It didn't just affect Ukrainians, and almost just as many Russians died in the famine than did Ukrainians. Moscow was particularly affected by this. It is also of note that it was the last famine that happened in the region. This is a similar accusation to the famine in the years of the Great Leap Forward in China, which was also the last famine in a more than a 1000 year cycle of famines in China. Weird how in both of these DotPs, a cyclical famine happened, it was also the end of the cycle, but capitalists assign it the category of genocide just this once. Nevermind the very targeted and constant global famine which, through the unequal distribution of resources, kills 9 million people each year, almost exclusively in imperialized countries whose wealth is syphoned to the imperial core. Mind you, this is not saying that the famines discussed were less bad because capitalists worldwide and throughout history have killed more people and continue to do so. This is just to point out the very obvious double standard when it comes to labeling famines as genocides.
