I think it would be really funny to pit the tf2 mercs up against some kind of slasher movie villain. Could you imagine being a slasher trying to kill these buffoons who respawn?

The first half plays by slasher conventions, with the first to die being (ship of your choosing) who decides to slip away and get frisky somewhere away from the others. One by one the mercs are taken by surprise and picked off until the final girl merc sees a body and realizes something is up

At which point the other mercs start to respawn, and depending on the setting they either improvise incredibly silly weapons or just have their normal ones and wreck the killers absolute shit. It's silly it's humiliating for the slasher and it turns into a game of cat and mouse of the killer looking to jump out and surprise the mercs (who are used to spy doing that so it's less effective) and the mercs going All Out on the killer (who is supernaturally impervious to damage for Plot Armour). Scout gets killed like 15 times cause he just get more and more annoying every time
