Okay real shit, how does Scarab's face work? For that matter, his voice? Because his "normal" voice is only present when his mask is on, otherwise its more of a squawk.

I don’t know what is going on but the nostalgia is hitting. I am super obsessed with Hannibal and Supernatural again and I am more active as a cosplayer than I have been in the last 6 years.

But it’s not just me! At the convention last weekend there were so many cosplayers from „dead“ fandoms. Like yeah, there are always gonna be a handful of those but ??? not that many. My bestie and I made a joke out of them being the horsemen of the apocalypse because it felt surreal sjfjjskdfb

Idk why but I love it so much. I feel very good psychologically, not as hopeless and useless. Maybe having a creative and social hobby DOES help lol

Related to that post I reblogged on main but I don't think Charlie will ever quite be the person he was before everything fell apart?? He might gain an appreciation and a love of performance again, he might begin to relax and cool down and learn how to enjoy himself, but that loud, confident boy he'd been is... sort of gone. A lot has happened to Charlie and he makes a lot of mistakes, and that loud brand of confidence isn't really something he feels he deserves to wear anymore, and even if he forgives himself, I don't think he'll ever really pick that back up.

I think he'll always be sort of quiet. He'll have his moments of being loud and playful and creative under the right influences, but that's not his overall personality anymore. In an ideal world he'll probably grow to have a quieter, more comfortable form of confidence, happy not to be in the spotlight but adjacent to it. So long as he's somewhere he can care about someone else and trust himself to move through life without stumbling into and breaking something, he's happy.

a little irked to realize, in making my comprehensive all-the-books-i’ve-ever-read-in-my-whole-life book database, that in nearly 24 years i haven’t read even a thousand books... and more irked because i’m realizing that it’s due to the fact that i RE-READ THE SAME BOOKS over and over and over and over and over again as a kid so i spent like 12 years or something wasting my time reading the same beloved favorites over and over instead of venturing into new territory and covering new ground smh. Younger me, what were you thinking girlfriend?

That said...

Dylan O'Brien's ACTING. DUDE! Oh my god. If there's anything to look forward to about the Nogitsune storyline, Dylan's acting is it. Because holy CRAP, dude.

The SWITCH.

The switch was AMAZING. (Also, as an aside, that reveal was soooo well done, and if I hadn't already known, I 100% would've gasped and covered my mouth again at the fact that it's in Stiles. Like, if I didn't know it was coming, you never would've seen that coming until it did, and that's the best kind of plot twist/reveal. Anyways.)

I mean, the subtlest changes in his face and body language, and he was suddenly a COMPLETELY different person.

And the fact that you can just TELL, just by the SLIGHTEST little movements, that that ending wasn't Stiles.

It was Void Stiles pretending to BE Stiles.

I mean, it's so little, but it says so much.

Like, I can't even pinpoint what it is about how he's saying or doing certain things, but you can just TELL that something's...off.

And Dylan is portraying that BEAUTIFULLY.

And I really freaking wish Scott would pick up on it.

But there's no freaking way he's going to, because it's STILES, and Stiles would NEVER betray him, and sure, some weird stuff has been happening to him lately, and sure, he just so HAPPENS to be directly tied to bad things that keep happening, and sure, he's acting a LITTLE weird, but it's STILES, so it's FINE.

And also, Scott is too trusting anyways, and Stiles is his pessimistic, suspicious, cautious best friend who can protect him from people that would take advantage of him because he's always ready to see the bad in others...even himself.

And he was SO CLOSE to figuring it out.

He was SO CLOSE, and he tried SO HARD, and he KNOWS that something's wrong with him and that he's tied to all of this somehow, but he's so busy not being able to trust his own brain--which is ALWAYS right and is STILL RIGHT--that he can't break it down and see it.

And Scott's never gonna be able to put two and two together without him, and who knows how many people are gonna get hurt in the process.

And Stiles is never gonna forgive himself.

And that's the part that hurts the most.

I HATE THIS!!!

I REALLY F*CKING HATE THIS!!!

....excuse me while I go silently sob in a corner.

(As much as it hurts, I cannot deny how genuinely STELLAR Dylan's acting is here. Like, I just, you SEE IT. You WATCH that switch, and it's the SUBTLEST thing and I just...holy sh*t, Dylan, I can't wait to see more. <3)
