im so mixed on extraordinary attorney woo bc like getting abled characters to pretend to have intellectual disabilities is straight up vile, but the conversations they were having around intellectual disability were mostly so good. and like im really hating the romance because wyw is like this really charming character to the audience but the chemistry is sooo onesided that i like 1. dont really believe she cares about that guy and 2. as a result dont really get what he sees in her bc u dont really see her like doing anything to show she cares abt him or anything that would mean he likes being around her etc i get wanting to be like oh the autistic girl gets the normie guy every1 wants rather than the stereotypical autistic unloveable weirdo gets another autistic unloveable weirdo, but its just done so badlyyyyyyy largely bc of the fact its an abled person doing an autistic impression 😭 theres no real sense of like how autistic people show our affection theres just her telling him she likes him and then continuing to not really seem like she does................. it literally feels for any NT ppl watching like an advert for NOT dating an autistic person bc itll just be you acting like their carer all the time and them basically ignoring you & your feelings its so weirddd i also feel like they didnt really try and write like an autistic character’s romantic life, they just tried to do like standard romcom office romance and then throw their autistic character into it u_u like the romance is so offputting to me n its frustrating bc the idea of an autistic woman being shown as lovable and desirable is so great but it falls so flat that its kinda worse than if they didnt do it -_-

what so many people don't understand about cats is that sometimes you have to slightly break their comfort zone for their own well-being. Yes they value their autonomy and like doing things their own way but like. Sometimes you DO have to restrain your cat and trim his claws. Sometimes you DO have to pick him up and put him in the carrier. Sometimes you DO have to feed him medicine that he really doesn't like. Sometimes you DO have to give him a bath. And yes kitty will be upset about it because there's no way to explain to him that it's for his own health but it's not the end of the world if he's mad at you for 15 minutes especially if you know how to comfort him properly & use the least upsetting approach of doing those things.

#like i dont understand this attitude of 'oh my cat wouldn't let me do x grooming thing so we just dont do that' #im sorry what???? #it took me months & months to get my cat comfortable with having his claws trimmed. he still doesnt like it #& yeah at first he 'didnt let me' but like. dont just Stop Trying???? he NEEDS that for his health???? #i get it theyre dangerous when theyre mad but thats why you have to be patient. really really patient. #and with time if you do have that patience with them you will learn ways to make it less stressful for them too! #like would you rather invest the time in your cat & take care of her or find out much later she has a health problem u could have avoided. #i PROMISE your cat will not hate you forever. and a lot of the grooming stuff can even become a way of bonding with kitty #you just have to take the time & understand that just becauss they dont like it doesnt mean they dont need it #(also be sure theyre not like. legit in pain. like def learn proper technique for this stuff) #anyway thats been on my mind for a few days. the weird attitude that just bc cat doesnt like means cat doesnt NEED

I know there's been a lot of the lack of Vaggie's self-worth, which I wish was explored into more. I just think the Vaggie(3rd) episode just wasn't needed at all if it didn't even have an impact.
