Only just realized it, but I think it's very funny that of my two Elden Ring ocs (both of which are trans), one of them is a middle-aged woman who just recently had the chance to magically transition and a good chunk of her story is growing used to her new body and experiencing euphoria with her form after grueling years of war and how she tries to share that euphoria and joy at being different with Morgott, whom she accidentally falls in love with after breaking his legs. Then my second oc is a trans dude who medically transitioned years before he became Tarnished, went through nearly all of his journey without a thought for his own body, and then only just magically slapped on a dick at the end of it with the sole purpose of being a fuckboy. The dichotomy of gender

teleports behind you hi. consider the benefits of ♥ ▼ ൠ ☾ ♦ for leysha n ☾ ☆ ♦ ☯ ൠ for the omen brothers go off
FUCK YEAHHHH TIME TO GO HOGWILD
The Omen Twins:
☾ - sleep headcanon
-When in the Shunning-Grounds, after they broke free of their confinement, both would curl up together in the same nest to save space and keep warm. They slowly stopped doing this when they both got too large to fit comfortably in one sleeping spot, but the habit of curling up into a nest is one that they both still share, Mohg stronger than Morgott. Morgott is, in truth, perfectly happy to stretch himself out on any surface to catch snatches of sleep where he can, but Mohg insists on a nest, mostly because he'll usually just end up with his horns snagged in the pillows if he ever tries to sleep in a bed
☆ - happy headcanon
-There's really nothing that can be fully happy about these two without verging into bittersweet, but I do have this: successfully hunting the giant lobsters that stalked the Shunning-Grounds was always a big achievement for the twins that both celebrated vigorously when they managed to pull it off successfully. They also maintained contact with each other after the Shattering until Mohg made the mistake of capturing Miquella, and was enthralled by him to serve as his feeding-host, at which point Morgott assumed that he had been killed and that another had risen to take the title of Lord of Blood in his place
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
-I already mentioned Mohg's obsessive preening and peoplewatching, but I haven't mentioned Morgott's! His hobbies would be reading + calligraphy, which he taught himself; he's slow at it, but he's dedicated, and spends much of his waking time practicing by reading through all of the reports sent in from all over Altus and crafting beautifully scripted replies to those that need it. Outside of that, he practices incantation weaving, his illusion spells, and guarding Leyndell with all he has, because while he's unaware of it, he has an extremely strong territorial + protective instinct that pretty much demands him to patrol, and there's always Tarnished outside of the walls that need squashing before they can get any bold ideas about claiming the Elden Throne
As for quirks, he waves his tail about when he's experiencing emotions, flicks his ears when he's thinking or angered, and scrunches back his whiskers (actual whiskers, not facial hair, though it blends in with all of it) when disgusted. There's a lot of animal features that he's constantly trying to hold back, but will slip through when he's distracted. Don't ever point that out to him though, or he'll go into a depressive spiral until some new graceless bozo makes him irritated enough to forget about it
☯ - likes/dislikes headcanon
-Morgott hates being dirty, and will submerge himself in some form of running water multiple times a day if he thinks he can get away with it to try to clean himself off (yeah, he knows how to scrub filth off his fur, but he doesn't know what soap is because nobody ever bothered to teach him how to bathe). Mohg, on the other hand, actually likes to roll about in the muck and stink to the high heavens, as long as he knows that he can clean himself off afterwards. Both hate the Shunning-Grounds, and Mohg's love for the defilement he was born into speaks purely about his 'curse', but squishing around in mud is a hell of a lot of fun when you're covered in scales and leather vs a bunch of fine fur. As for what they both universally dislike, being restrained in any way is sort of a given, though I hesitate to call it 'dislike' as much as it is 'bordering on the sense of animalistic panic and sheer hatred' when/if their shackles are used against them
They're also both drawn to warmth, and love to press themselves up against warm things. Mohg will seek out steam vents and hot springs from magma channels under the earth to warm his wings, while the peak of luxury for Morgott is going out on patrol as Margit, and getting the chance to stretch out on a warm rock in the sun.
ൠ - random headcanon
-Both of them want nothing more desperately than the life that their brother Godwyn had: which is to say that they both desire a chance at a 'normal' life, where they are a respected lord ruling over their people that has a partner who cares for them and a family who loves them. Morgott himself tamps this down as much as he can, for he doesn't believe that he deserves such things, but Mohg is absolutely desperate for them and wants to obtain them through any means possible. It doesn't matter how healthy it is or how such a family comes to be, he just needs to be loved with a burning passion. Morgott often had to drag him away from the 'nursery' section of the Shunning-Grounds to keep him from stealing the baby Omen there (getting the bare minimum of care so that their noble families could abandon them without guilt), as Mohg would just press himself up to the bars and coo at them incessantly otherwise. Morgott understood his twin perfectly, but there's being stricken with the urge to protect something so tiny and weak, and knowing logically that you can't afford to care for such a thing when you yourself can't even be sure if you'll have clean water to drink for the day, or something to eat within the week.
Leysha (my Tarnished oc):
well I suppose these aren't headcanons if I've literally made her, so consider this a Leysha loredump instead!
♥ - family headcanon
-She was the eldest child of her family, and had a great deal of experience caring for children, as she helped to raise her many siblings. While many might have resented such a thing, Leysha herself thrived under it, as she's somewhat of a natural protector/caretaker, and doesn't take shit from anyone. She's also trans, and while she didn't realize that until later in her life, being inducted into something that is traditionally more considered a 'womanly position' was something that helped her realize that fact and made herself more comfortable with her identity. Being a natural caretaker isn't limited to gender, but it's stamped out in most raised to be men, so she felt lucky that she managed to dodge that sort of thing (which came about because her family farm was quite isolated and her father was a very quiet, reserved man who never placed much stock into manly discipline to begin with)
▼ - childhood headcanon
-Leysha grew up on a farm! Her homeland was primarily an agricultural community, with a large city in the center where farmers would congregate to trade goods and exchange raw material with crafters from other kingdoms. She was forcefully drafted into the army when she was 15 after a similarly-sized neighboring kingdom tried to conquer her own, so it wasn't a very long childhood, but she has a lot of fond memories of caring for sheep and goats before that happened.
ൠ - random headcanon
-She wasn't capable of transitioning in any way before she was exiled to the Lands Between, as she realized that she was trans when she was in the army and her nation was at war, so she pretty much immediately magically did it the second that she found a way (with Fia's enchanted mirror). As nice as this was, and as much as she loves her body, she's still not quite sure what to do with her tits, or how periods work, and all other mysteries of the female body that she didn't have to deal with before. Not that she would have thought that would be a problem, since she's in her 40's, but a side effect of Marika's 'blessing of abundance' within the Lands Between is its severe delay on aging, so getting a blast of that magic right to the face means that menopause isn't going to happen to her for a good while yet. Sorry for that, Leysha.
☾ - sleep headcanon
-On her left side, with as many pillows as possible, hugging anything close enough to be subject to her grasp. The pillows part came about because she spent nearly 25 years in the army on paltry straw cots or hard ground to rest, and her hugging trait helped her immensely in holding her greatswords + rations pack so that it wouldn't be stolen by other hungry teenagers sent out to war, but now that she's become the Lord of Leyndell's consort, it's mostly just used to strangle Morgott. Or his tail, after he's learned the hard way that she's the snuggly sort...not that he really minds
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
-Leysha loves spinning wool and weaving, for they were traditional rites of her homeland that she learned just before she went off to war. Well, the wool-spinning itself wasn't, that was just what her family did for money, but the weaving was something passed down to her from her paternal grandmother before she herself succumbed to sickness, and spinning/dying wool is nostalgic to her in the best ways. She takes it up again after she becomes Elden Lord, and helped to somewhat revive the textile arts of Altus when her practice rugs ended up as shawls for Morgott.
For quirks, she's got a habit of pensively holding her left boob when she's in soft enough clothes to do so, and in deep enough thought to warrent boob-squishing. This was always possible for her, as she's always had a lot of fat and muscle to make for great pec-grabbing, but now that she's got proper tits, the squishing potentials are endless.
Send me an emoji and an Elden Ring character for some headcanons!

okay if no rambles yet bc I can't draw til after my finals, posting a screenshot of a wil will work just fine, right?
Anyways, a Morgott x Tarnished wip ft a headcanon I have about the demigods, where the Numen are very fae-like, and names hold a wicked power as such. Granted, everyone goes by their true-names anyways to show off how little they care because only those of higher powers can use them against a demigod, but its still common courtesy in most of the lands to give your true-name if a foe does so on the battlefield, as a sign of honour and respect

@publiccmenace twisted my arm, so here's Chapter 2 of From Shattered Twilight, posted literally a day after its publishing because I'm impatient and it was already all polished up and ready to go.
Ft Leysha and Morgott continuing to be prickly with one another, as is to be expected.

From Shattered Twilight
..unto a perfect and unified dawn.
Morgott knew the cost that was demanded of him when he became the King of Leyndell. He knew what would eventually come when the first of the Tarnished began to vie for the title of Elden Lord. Death was a consequence that he had been made well aware of in the Shunning-Grounds, and so the threat of falling to one of his kin during the wars of the Shattering did not bother him overmuch. He was determined to fight for the defense of the Erdtree, and for the scattered few in Leyndell that yet believed in the strength of their grace-given king.
But when a certain tarnished warrior shatters his legs to force him into an unwilling allyship, a reconsidering of such a fate was soon to be inevitable. Doubly so when the warrior herself was just as sick of the battle to become Elden Lord as he was of murdering her.
A crown is often warranted by strength. True peace, however, demands bloodshed.
...
Decided to go ahead and post the first chapter of my Tarnished/Morgott fic so that I could get it out of my bloodstream before my finals, lmao. Ft my tarnished, Leysha, who I specifically created to beat some sense into Morgott

I’ve been adoring From Shattered Twilight, it’s so delightfully crunchy, and I keep wondering how Leysha is gonna react to some of the wider circumstances. She’s an absolute delight by the by- which big bosses have you been writing her as having killed, may I ask?
Fsdhfgb I'm glad to hear that, anon! FST is probably the most casual fic that I've written so far, and it's ended up being a great way to keep some of my ER fixation at bay. I'm also pleased to hear that you're enjoying Leysha, as I'm usually not one to develop or write ocs, much less anything where they interact extensively with the main character
As for Leysha's current state in the world- she's defeated both Godrick and Rennala, and has arrived at Altus through the ruins-strewn precipice, at which point she decided to book it straight to the Mountaintops so that she could get Latenna to where she needed to be, putting her into conflict with Morgott. She's already at a point of disdain and disgust with how the world's been going, but she hasn't really seen the true extent of it yet, as her priorities are currently trying to fufill oaths + figure out how to fix the Elden Ring before she actually goes rushing into things.
She's spent 30 years of her life at war, so she's not too keen on having to deal with this whole Tarnished bullshit. It's more that the bullshit finds her, really

what would Leysha's dropped items be?
I'm still thinking about what those would be! I'm waffling between her cloak (custom embroidered from her homeland), a talisman that significantly raises robustness and poise at the detriment of fp, and then just straight-up her as an ash summon for a bad end of a theoretical questline. Which, yeah, we already have two banished knight summons already, but a duel-wielding greatsword tank summon? Not quite sure which items to pick, though, I'm still thinking about it. She got more development than Fenrix did, which means more little neat bits and pieces for me to choose from
Leysha's also a bit harder to make up items for than Fenrix simply because she prefers simpler solutions (and because she admittedly doesn't have much left to carry around), but a lot of her stuff would for sure be focused around strength/poise/resistance boosts. Later on talisman-type items would also have a strong tangled horns/branches motif as she grows closer to Morgott and the Crucible

👻 for Leysha?
👻 GHOST - do they believe in ghosts? what are their "ghostly experiences", if any?
-Leysha's a Tarnished, she kind of has to believe in ghosts! When you're riding a spirit horse, summoning spirit ashes, and smashing mausoleum knights with your broadsword, it's kind of hard to NOT believe in ghosts. She generally endeavors to be as polite to them as possible so that they won't start haunting her nightmares, but generally just sees them as a part of life that can either be helpful or harmful, like spiders or mosquitos or snakes.
As for before: she came from a rural farming community outside of the Lands Between that still stuck to more pagan beliefs about the Crucible and had a lot of superstitions about warding off vengeful spirits, hence her aspiring to be respectful as possible. She also tended to her youngest sibling until she was drafted into the army, whose status as an Omen meant that they were a lot more likely to draw the attention of those lead astray from the Erdtree's roots. She's spent so many nights burning glovewort and humming soothing hymns that she now sees vengeful or lost spirits as more of an annoying pest than something to be feared, as she had before Oriks was born.

Chapter 3 of From Shattered Twilight is up! Leysha and Morgott have a quick talk

Writing early-fic content with Leysha is quite difficult, I feel, because she comes off as very angry and curt woman when in reality, she's really not. It's more that she's very very tired of the sad state of the world around her, and is trying to cling to whatever scraps of dignity and honour that she has left; dignity and honour that she becomes quite defensive over when someone like Morgott insinuates that she has none. It's less that she thinks herself as a perfect example of such things, and more that she's just so so very tired at being denied them by everyone around her that she will respond aggressively to defend it. Likewise, she's extremely blunt and forward because she has made her desire to reshape the world into something better as somewhat of a shield rather than a hopeless dream that's weak enough to be ground down into dust, while for Morgott, it has been beaten out of him entirely
(she's also very bristly at the concept of being called a pillager or a conquerer for very good reasons, and him considering her as such makes her feel like she has to defend herself in turn. Which doesn't really allow for her much softer sides to shine through at all, at least until he starts to believe that she is indeed telling the truth. They very much are a raggedy old king of a lion and a tired old lioness circling each other and snarling while they size each other up; each is wary of the other, but neither really wants to fight when it comes down to it)

🌋 VOLCANO - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil, or a instant explosion?
You know what, I haven't thought of my boy Fenrix for a while, so I'm including him in here as well despite my slightly more well-known oc being Leysha
Leysha- Depends on what's bothering her. She's actually got quite a bit of patience normally, and a rather good handle on keeping her temper, but certain people or stimuli will just send her off the fucking rails. Warmongers, warlords, or pompous assholes will piss her right off, as well as witnessing acts of violence or cruelty against civilians for seemingly no reason (which includes Misbegotten and Omens- again, she's from a reclusive farming community outside of the Lands Between, and while things aren't all peachy there, no idiot is going to deny the use that an Omen or Misbegotten has in the fields). She was drafted into the army at 15 and has only just been discharged after nearly 30 years of service, she's seen all of the horrors that war has to offer and is deeply fucking sick of all of them.
Fenrix- He only has a temper when he decides to have a temper, and is very, very good at choking his anger down when he needs to. Being one of the Nightfolk during the rule of the Erdtree demands it, lest you get grabbed by a group of angry drunk bigots and have your throat torn out- again. So instead of letting off steam, he usually just swallows his anger down and makes a note of what's bothering him so that he can come back to enact vengeance on it later

hi! can I have 35 & with any Elden Ring ship that you may have :3
oh FUCK yeah I'm doing this one with my oc Leysha and Morgott because I don't nearly do enough for them
35. Is their relationship a secret? If so, why?
-Yeah, their relationship (at least for most of it) is very much a secret simply because of, well...[waves hands at Morgott] everything about him, really. Their working relationship pre-Leysha finding a way to usurp Marika and crown him as Elden Lord in an Age of the Crucible ending isn't so much of a secret, but even then the details are kind of twisted to avoid suspicion- yes, King Morgott found an unlikely ally in a banished knight who's also Tarnished, and yes she takes orders from that dreadful omen he keeps around as well- Margit, was he?- but then again, he was a bit of an odd one, so perhaps it isn't so weird that he chose to spare one Tarnished. At least the woman is a sight in combat, eh? Would have been a waste to have Margit put her down, really.
Some time afterwards, I like to believe that Leysha officially becomes Lady of Leyndell, but that would still take quite a long time given the change in the Order and the fuss of dealing with all that divine bullshit. Really she'd just love to be able to settle down and have a family and some goats after a long life full of war, but politics is a tricky beast, and she's more than capable of keeping things a secret if she must

If you don't mind answering, what sort of unwritten fic (or several) is stuck inside your brain rn and refuses to write itself?
Currently, it's two! (or, well, technically three). First off is Until Dawn Shall Break + its potential sequel, which relies entirely on Silksong and is fueled fully by my desire to see Hollow shredding their way through Pharloom to get to their sister. I'm very close to finishing Until Dawn, but I haven't had the chance to write and am very mentally burned out from school, so additions have been slow. The desire to write for it is nagging incessantly at me though, so I'm constantly rotating it in the back of my mind attempting to make sure that I've got all my plot points tied down and that the way to the end is clear and satisfying
Second is an Elden Ring fic featuring Morgott and an oc I made specifically to pair with him and force him to live into a new era separate from the Golden Order. I usually hate creating and writing ocs, but Leysha has been occupying my thoughts pretty heavily. I've kind of been poking at a rough fic for them, but it's only at 3k rn and is written pretty casually. I've been thinking about posting it, but at the same time I'm not sure if I'll ever finish it, and I don't want my readers to think that I'm shirking Until Dawn. I just don't have enough emotional attachment to my own ocs to really be able to gauge my ability to finish a fic where one is the secondary main character, so for now I'm just writing it to relax

'Sup, I'm Aren, he/him. This is not an rp blog, I just happen to really like Fortissax. This is for me to post ideas and theories about the lore of the game, as well as stash any art and writing I do for Elden Ring.
*My main blog: @ruthlesslistener
*My Ao3: ruthlesslistener
*Like I said, I'm over 18 and bi as hell so this will have not safe for work content on it. That'll be appropriately tagged as #elden ring nsft or #baddragonposting no matter if it's suggestive content or me just being horny for old men. #baddragonposting is exclusively for me being horny about old men, though.
*If I draw anything, it'll be tagged as #arenart to try to narrow down tumblr's tagging mess
*I love getting asks, so fire away! It can be anything from asking about what I think of a character to other lore theories to yelling about something in-game. I might be blunt about some things, but I promise I enjoy talking to y'all
*NO incest/noncon/underage ships will be depicted here. I'm fascinated by Mohg and Miquella both, but I very much do not read Mohg as being legitimatly attracted to Miquella or visa versa, and none of my lore posts on them should be viewed through a shipping lens
Current OCs:
-Fenrix, the White Raven
-Banished Knight Leysha, Lady of Leyndell
