Gaz "Why? What's going on?"

Dipper/ Mabel "Shabbat."

Dipper " No devices on after sundown."

Gaz "Oh...ok... Only for you, Kimber, because you're gorgeous and I love you."

Gaz "And I also get the big TV Tuesday night."

Dipper "Yeah, no coconuts. That's our game night."

Gaz "Shhhh!"

Dib "You two have a game night?"

Dipper "Every Tuesday night. I'll send you an invite so you can you can join in."

Dib "Sure, I'll play if you're playing."

Gaz "Dipper, NOOO."

Gaz "You both do."

Kimber "Oh no! I forgot to heat up Eben's dinner! Call us back in 20 minutes, Dib. Kisses!"

Dib "Yes ma'am."

Mabel "Call back in 30. They're probably going to burn one."

Gaz "So you're parents are just high whenever they're home?"

Mabel "You knew there was an explanation for us."

Dipper "In all fairness, mom has crushing social anxiety and dad works two jobs plus he's finishing up his masters so he's allowed a vice or two."

Dib "The fuck? Don't make fun of Eben and Kimber."

Gaz "I would never. Eben is a riot and Kimber is an icon. Aw man, she doesn't think I'm making fun of her, does she? I'm just trying to match her energy and I suck at it."

Mabel "Naaaa. They're bloodstream has been saturated with thc since they were our age. We get it."

Dib "Doesn't faze me. I'm just grateful someone is finally listening to me about Zim... wait do they actually believe me about Zim or-?"

Dipper "I think mom is still convinced we're designing a space themed rpg or indi movie or something, but she's enjoying the journey. Sorry, dude. I'm not correcting her because I'm still trying to convince her majoring in cinematography is a good idea."

Dib "All good."

Dipper "Dad used to hunt ufos so he's super into it, trust me."

Dib "Whaaaaat?"

Mabel "And they're minds are a little more open ever since we introduced them to Grunkle Ford."

Gaz "You finally found your people, Dib."

Dib "Wow..."

gat’s mom is deaf and he’s very good at asl, tho not as quick as he used to be ,, he and kimber has the same asl class in high school

he can hold his breath for an alarming amount of time because one time some of the nets on the vita caprice got caught and he got stuck trying to untangle things

he smokes camel blue cigarettes in bulk, but he doesn’t drink alcohol

his grandma used to live on the same street as kimber and her family, kimber’s dad (king lyle adams) used to do odd tasks around the house for her, which is how gat ended up getting a job on the boat

he was the last person to see kimber adams before she went missing, though his recollection of the event was fuzzy, according the police reports.

Aaaahhhhhh IT'S DONE! Well, the chapter is. Unbreakable itself is going to be seven chapters long. Kimber is finally freed from her sling! This chapter is over 15,000 words long so get nice and comfy.

A quick recap of the plot for Unbreakable because it's been over a year since my last update. Kimber was hit by a car while she was crossing the street. Unbreakable is a story about her recovery from the accident and how having a support system helped her through it. It's primarily a Stimber fanfic, Stormer is Kimber's biggest support after all. This is part of a series but you can honestly just skip to this one. I just have a timeline all these Stimber fics take place on, that's all.

contextless kimber thoughts moment

Kimber is feeling a lot of things in the aftermath of the Circus Circus.

Instincts that they'd call Damien's are comfortably numb in the familiar come down from the adrenaline of doing things that could absolutely have ended their existence. It puts into sharp relief just how painfully boring everything else in life is when there's nothing threatening it, but that's an apathy he's long contended with. At the same time though, it's that component of Human Animal that is emanating the reflexive waves of physical disgust he feels whenever he tries to think about what happened. Whenever his thoughts circle back to the battle he can feel the writhing flesh around him again and has to force down the urge to hurl. This mind was built for remembering things in perfect detail, but right now it's far more a curse than a blessing. Getting sprayed with blood and guts is part of the fun, but getting engulfed like that was vile and terrifying and not in a good way.

On the other hand, their conscious thoughts- those which belong to the damned thing that still automatically answers to the name of Naviel, the being that once styled itself an Architect of humanity's Wishes- are spiraling. It tries to rationalize. Tells itself that this is why it escaped, why it chose this vessel: To break down Creation until the slate is clean and it has the understanding to make something new and perfect in its place. But it doesn't feel like it learned anything, at least not anything it didn't know. Cainites burn, humans are made of meat, God is dead and He set this all up to fail. Unfortunately, it's impossible to regard these findings with the cool detachment it wishes it could. Naviel may not have directly contributed to the Creation of humans, but it did have a hand in making the world around them. A whole reality, given, out of love, as a gift. And, try as it might to bury itself in the shame of that gift's many flaws, nothing can cover over the despair at being not just witness, but cause, to so many forced to abandon it without even the chance to appreciate it for what it is.

Still, they rage against the Doom-spiral. They had anticipated these qualms, their long silenced love for humanity being rekindled in it's presence. That was why they had picked Damien: to wallpaper over those feelings. But, clearly, they can't always hold up the shattered pieces of dead man's ego like a shield. Something has to give, though. They have to stop letting the winds carry them without a path, they need goals- smaller and more immediate. They need to learn and experiment. They need to see things as they will be once they've succeeded, rather than as they are. And if they can't be closer to Damien, maybe they have to find a way to be further from Naviel… If they're going to be defeated, let it be by their own mistakes, rather than God's.

First they need another shower and fucking nap, though.
