Phys, Pyrr, Truth, Faith

oooo!! be warned this is very long, you unlocked autism mode I'm afraid

failure.

Phys - Nothing very big. He feels guilty for making his dad so stressed all the time, and I suppose he considers that a failure. That he isn't a good enough son. Too silly for his own good :(

Pyrr - The fact that he failed to live up to his role as a deity. He considers pretty much all of his past actions as a massive failure, and the guilt and regret haunts him often. Only his sisters know, and they still hold it against him.

Truth - Not realising that her living situation was dangerous before it was too late. The idea that she could have escaped sooner used to cause her a lot of pain, but she's now managed to accept the fact that the past can't be changed. Hooray for therapy!

Faith - Pretty much the same as Truth, not realising her situation was dangerous until it cost her. The difference between her and Truth is that she's still in that situation, and the distant idea of escape plagues her every thought. In her opinion, how biggest failure is her cowardice, not that what she's doing is cowardly in the slightest. She's doing her best to stay safe.

fear.

Phys - Corrupted soul. Classic animus stuff. Even though he very rarely uses his magic, the idea that one day he could just snap [even if that isn't how "soul corruption" works] scares him. The only person he's open about it with is Star, who always comforts him about it [admittedly she's a bit of a bad influence]. He doesn't want to worry his father.

Pyrr - Seeing his sisters again. It's been literal millennia since they last spoke, and seeing as when they did the two banished Pyrr from his residence and stripped him of all power he had, you can imagine they didn't leave off on the best of terms. He occasionally has nightmares about seeing them again, but he'd never admit that to anybody. Boy howdy, I sure am glad that never happens and that it doesn't almost end in the second global apocalypse!

Truth - Being at her childhood home again. Strangely enough, the thought of seeing her mother again doesn't scare her as much as it ought to, as now that she's living securely she feels she's prepared to face her. But seeing the house again is, understandably, too much to handle. She's very open about this fear and often stresses that she doesn't want to be anywhere near the sky kingdom. Her partners are supportive of this.

Faith - Well, originally her greatest fear was losing her son, but since Argent ran away from home that's practically happened already. She has no idea whether he's dead or alive and has no way of contacting him. Sucks to be her.

future.

Phys - Similar to fear, that the power gets to his head and he becomes Evil Edgy Physalis.............. although that's extremely unlikely to happen. In my interpretation of animus magic at least, you already need to have those intentions for the "corruption" to draw it out of you, and Phys is just too good of a guy for that to happen. He knows this, subconsciously, and so doesn't take many cautions to avoid it. He doesn't use his magic often anyway.

Pyrr - Being forced back into his original purpose, as god of time and space. It would ruin him. He isn't even aware of this possibility though, as far as he's aware his family has all but forgotten him. Boy, I sure am glad nobody ever attempts to bring him back!

Truth - Losing the safety and stability that she currently has. It's unlikely to happen, but she still worries about it. She tries her best to make her life as comfortable as possible and has multiple backup plans in the event something does happen.

Faith - At this point, everything she's ever worried about has already happened. All she has left to fear is death itself, I suppose that would be her worst fate. Death is something she contemplates often, all the ways it could get her. Spoiler alert, despite how bad her situation is, she lives! At the end of the war and after Teratorn's death she gets to leave the manor and live out a happy life, eventually dying of old age. Hooray for her!

heartbreak.

Phys - Never been in a relationship, so no romantic heartbreak for him! I suppose finding out about his mother's death was fairly disappointing, but I wouldn't say heartbreaking. He never even knew her after all.

Pyrr - Same as Phys. Ending his relationship with his sisters on such bad terms was the most heartbreaking thing to happen to him, although they were never the closest in the first place.

Truth - Her current relationship is going steady! She's never really experienced any kind of heartbreak before, let's hope she never has to.

Faith - Fun fact, she was known as the town flirt in her teen years! She's been in plenty of relationships before, although none were ever serious. What really broke her though was discovering that Teratorn only married her as a status boost and that he barely cared for her at all. You can imagine their marriage is very stable.

mistake.

Phys - Not a mistake, but more so a regret. Never reaching out to his mother before her death. He didn't want to meet her most of his life because he was living such a happy life with his adoptive father and he didn't want to disrupt that, but when he realised it was too late he regretted not even trying. He's mostly moved past that though, no bother dwelling on the past.

Pyrr - Same as failure pretty much. All of the actions he made as a deity. He still hates his past self for being so immature.

Truth - Also same as failure.

Faith - Marrying Teratorn. Almost everything bad that's happened in her life has happened because she married him, and she regrets it every waking moment. She would do anything if it meant she could go back in time and stop herself from saying yes.

secret.

Phys - His only secret is that he's an animus, but he's fine admitting that to people he trusts. There's nothing he'd never want anyone else to know, he's pretty much an open book.

Pyrr - Everything he did during his time as a deity. He's fine letting people he's close with know about his past status, hell most people wouldn't even believe him, but to ever admit what he did is too far. It wasn't even that severe, he just feels extremely guilty because he's spent so long overthinking it. Hooray, anxiety.

Truth - She doesn't have a single secret! Like Phys she's a completely open book, nothing to hide here. She's both extremely blunt and extremely honest about, well, pretty much everything. She can keep a secret for others though, there's at least that.

Faith - It's hard to say really? I haven't really thought it out. There are plenty of things she keeps to herself, but they aren't exactly secrets per se. I suppose her story isn't fleshed out enough to answer properly, alas.

i demand a pyrr infodump

Oh boy ok

So Pyrr was originally the god of time and space in his world, which basically meant it was his job to guide the course of events towards the most desirable outcome as was dictated by his overseer. He was created by his "mother" to do this, and soon after his two younger siblings were also created. While technically the sisters had more power than he did, their jobs were limited and they were extremely envious of him. This only escalated when the people in his world began to worship him as their main deity even though the sisters were the ones who created them. Over time all the power and attention got to his head, basically meaning he was an egotistical, self-entitled, uncaring jerk. It was like this for quite some time, a good few centuries, until the sisters got fed up with Pyrr's attitude. They were able to combine their power and transform into an entity that easily rivalled him, and using their new-found abilities they stripped Pyrr of his godhood, turning him into a regular dragon and sending him to live on the surface. He spent millennia there, isolated and forced to live as just a regular guy. Over time he went through a redemption arc and whatnot, eventually turning into the silly little guy he is now, although none of that is really interesting

Also I should note, that lore is only somewhat canon since being a sona/mascot and whatnot he exists in a sort of verse-less limbo. The "canon" Pyrr and the one I use as my mascot are kind of like two different characters in a sense. I suppose that is the peril of giving lore to sonas. Oh well

🎻💤🎶💘💜!! Pyrr, Truthspeaker, SNH, Maggie, Madam Atolla :] don't have to do all, I know it's a lot + bonus question, any fun facts about any of them you've been dying to share that haven't come up?

OOOHHHO!!!!!!!!

If a question doesn't apply to a character or the answer is just "no" I'm excluding them just so I don't make this even longer than it already is.

🎻 Truth - She played a number of instruments at JMA during her "trying out new things" phase! The only one that really stuck with her was the flute, but she stopped playing when she left the academy. SNH - He "sings" to himself sometimes, manipulating the sounds his neurons make to produce small melodies :] Maggie - They play guitar! They've been teaching themself various "vintage human songs" that they've stitched together based off of pieces of sheet music it's found around the place.

💤 Pyrr - He's a sleepy fellow. The sleeber. He is eepy. He's pretty much like a cat in regards to his sleeping habits; when tired nap wherever, whenever. He's also definitely a heavy sleeper, very little can wake him. Truth - A light sleeper with insomnia and chronic nightmares. Sleep as a whole is something she's always had a very strained relationship with.

🎶 Truth - She's a classical enjoyer! SNH - I think he'd be big on rock if the ancients had any kind of equivalent to that. Maggie - Pretty much everything! Rock, metal, folk, pop, indie, jazz, you name it. They absolutely adore music and have multiple record players they've stolen collected scattered throughout their house. Atolla - Also a classical enjoyer! I mean, she's old enough that most of it's from her time anyway.

💘 Truth - Oracle, Spindrift, Embers, and Viridian, naturally! Truth loves them all dearly and she can't express how thankful she is how much they've helped improve her life. SNH - ESI. I mean, not that there's many options considering they're the only person he's been in contact with for centuries. But SNH would [and practically did] do anything for his sibling, and he genuinely does love him even if he goes about showing it in weird, roundabout ways. The two rely on each other. Atolla - The Eternal. Not in an emotional way, Atolla cares very little for her creations, but Eternal is valuable to her and therefor the most important.

💜 Pyrr - This man has one [1] ancestor!! And not even a biological one!! Thus are the consequences of being a god's creation. Truth - A hybrid! Silkwing on her mother's side, nightwing on her father's. Both sides are about as "pure" as they get due to the nature of their respective tribes' rules and relationship taboos.

Bonus Pyrr - He doesn't need to eat or drink! Weird side effect of his immortality. Truth - Truth has to think of all the phrases she says, her inner monologue isn't any different to anybody else's her weird speech is a very purposeful choice. Only she's been doing it so long it's become practically second nature to her. SNH - He very commonly lies to ESI [especially when it comes to his condition, he doesn't want them to worry], not out of malice but because he doesn't want to hurt them any more than he has already. Maggie - They can purr, because robots deserve to be able to purr. Atolla - Sorry, Spoilers :)

ohhh !!! I was hoping I'd get these characters :]

for characters

1. Pyrr - He's unlabelled, although in a sense his gender is just transmasc. Not male, specifically just transmasc. Phys - You wouldn't assume it since he only uses he/him, but Phys is genderfluid! He's still exploring his identity but this is what he finds fits him most Truth - She's librafluid, which she only discovered about herself recently! She's had a weird, disconnected relationship with her gender her entire life, but she's pretty content with where she is now. Cryo - She's a cis woman, and has never really explored her identity that much! She doesn't actually mind what she's referred to as, but she's fully comfortable with her gender.

2. Pyrr - Aroace king! He's always been pretty repulsed by the idea of relationships. Never understood it. Phys - Also aroace. Almost all of my characters are ace/arospec in some way. Truth - She's bi, with a preference for fem presentation [regardless of gender]. The fact this corresponds with her main colours being pink and blue was unintentional,, Cryo - She's heterosexual, and is actually one of my few cis-het characters! She's a good ally :]

The rest I didn't do because I don't really have any good answers and/or I just have nothing to say about it, sorry^^

for me

16. Yeah, quite a few! I'm very indecisive and pretty regularly retcon past ideas I've had for characters. Pyrr was changed because, well, I changed. Phys and Truth's genders were changed more recently because, I mean, look at them. These two are anything but cis.

17. Pyrr, obviously. And like I said before, a LOT of my characters are ace/arospec because I am too. I don't have many transmasc characters, surprisingly. Plenty of non-binary characters to make up for that though.
