Some stuff I did for a swap au that my friend vaguely offhandedly mentioned as a what if but then I latched onto fairly hard immediately and started doing stuff for it. The basic concept thrown my way was simply a swap between Neon J and Tatiana.

Sooo, I tried to draw the Neon J. and 1010s from my Swap AU...but since this is the first time I have ever tried to draw them, I kinda struggled 😅 (specially with the 1010s 😟💦)

If you wonder who they swap with, well...in short, they swap with Yinu and Mama (I tried to come up with a better combination but nothin really worked out for me 😥). So yeah, they swap *places* and *personalities* too, but they don't change music genre so, yeah: 1010s are still a boy band under Neon J. management (they just loose the military aspect to it).

In this Au, the boys are more friendly than actually flirty (well...most of the time at least 😅), they are proud of their performance and are determined to show Zuke the brilliance of it (...though he doesn't even want to see it, like, at all 🤣).

Neon J. acts as a calmer version of himself who watches the show from afar...but the moment one of his sons is severely injured, he seems to lost his mind and steps up to the fight, forcefully initiating the *Protection Protocol* on his sons to harm the intruders.

I would like to write a one-shot detailing the origin story of this Neon J. and 1010s, so...are you guys interested in it??? 🤔🤔🤔

Adding to that last ooc Yinu ask!! She destroyed her piano bc the adults around her proved to her that destroying things around people is the only way people would listen. And I just read your last ask… and things really are different between these takes so please, if this ain’t your cup of tea, feel free to ignore these asks! Oh don't worry! I really liked your idea! I'll try to post that other question then this one close to each other!

But yeah, I can see Yinu being more sad a lot of the time with small bursts of rage/anger when she needs to be heard. She would probably be more well behaved around Tatiana, but end up being very spoiled, pushy, and mean to anyone else around her.

This would only be encouraged by Mama in instances where she is mean/pushy to 1010, specifically Green who she will force to go out into a greenhouse with her because she wants to get away from everyone and he seems to be the only other person other than Mama who likes plants. Which, in that regard, actually upsets Mama because she wants Yinu to push away 1010, not try to get closer to them.

So yeah, Yinu would be more destructive and angry a lot of the time, but also just stressed and sad the rest of it. Trying to get her way as much as she can to get a bit of control back to her life, only to have it taken away over and over as she is forced to work as a child to support her family.

Honestly, I can see her pushing the Sayu Crew away because of how she acts. Kids her age she is barely allowed to hang out with because either Mama disapproves of them, or they disapprove of Yinu, or just the other kids don't like how Yinu is acting. She is just a lonely girl who wants friends and to be a kid, but isn't able to be anymore because of the adults around her being mean. So she is just going to be mean as well.

NSR Swaps: DJ Subatomic Supernova

Depression has been a bitch and I can’t do descriptions for all of them, so I’ll be doing some fight descriptions, but not all of them

Bunk Bed Junction — Celestial Funk

Nova and J are a bass and keyboard duo. Nova is more like mayday, while J is more like Zuke.

Yes I put Nova in socks and sandals, what of it?

J has a tv for a head. He was born with it.

J was also part of a previous band in the past. It contained him, DK West, and a third member. When they split, West went to underground music, and the third member rose to join Nsr.

———— Their relationship was kind of a love triangle, with West having feelings for the Third Member, the Third Member, and J just having only platonic feelings for his friends.

Celestial funk was rejected because of rock being a relic of the past.

Sayu — Gento

Gento is a idol DJ who hides his face behind a mask. He was created by four teenagers.

He’s kinda an asshole, buts that’s part of his charm.

The 1st form has just a teal tail. The second phase has the red stripes come in and has the top face, and the final form gives him his yellow stripes and the middle face. And the final phase has the bottom face

Aletha is the musician, Flora makes the assets, Mizn is the animator, and Opal is the editor.

“Welcome loves~”

When you enter Gento’s reef, he is surprisingly kind. He greets you, but asks you to leave. When you refuse, he abides you goodbye and you must go after them. You find the file for his art, and you attack it.

“Baby, this is just childs play!”

He gets an upgraded mask and tail, and Aletha begins remixing the music, and one of you begins to be charmed by the disk jockey. This phase gives him attack you with bass drops that send shock waves in all directions, including yours.

“Do you hear that? They’re cheering for me, not you. I think it’s best you quit while your ahead.”

He gets his final mask and tail as the editor adjusts the lights to be blacklight(quick edit of such below) and reveals the crowd. In this phase, the audience can donate to attack you.

“No, no, no! You have barely, barely scratched the surface of my skill! I demand you leave this place!”

His masks cracks, and he attempts to hold it together, but it shatters, revealing his true face. At this phase he pulls all the stops, and the music becomes a deadly mess.

Yinu — Hua

Hua is the pianist of the group, but as a musical prodigy, her talents spread across the whole orchestra.

Her mother passed away when she was young. She was a human, and is missed deeply by Hua and her father. She played the piano, and was the closest friend Hua’s father ever had.

Hua’s Father is the composer of their orchestra. He is caring , but expects the best of his musicians, including Hua.

“Ugh, it’s you, I knew you’d come to try and ruin our performance!”

When you first enter the concert hall, Hua is angered by your presence. After some banter she begins to play her piano as the melody rises. A wooden cage is built around her and the rest of the orchestra, and you must break this while being attacked to continue to the next phase.

“Keep playing everyone, I’ll deal with these brats.”

Once the cage is broken, her Father emerges from the shadows. He elevates the orchestra and himself with the vines that form his arms. The orchestra fires musical notes, with Hua’s being able to be parried. When the Composer is downed you can attack Hua to enteer the third phase.

“How dare you! I will not stand for this mockery of my pupils!”

Hua’s Father grows immensely in size, causing all except Hua to flee the crumbling orchestra. He surrounds you, and attacks with thorny vines, pieces of the hall, and giant piano hammers.

“I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU! YOU RUINED OUR PERFORMANCE! YOU DESTROYED THE CONCERT HALL! I HATE YOU!!!”

After her father is defeated, Hua pushes you off your platform before you can do your finisher. Hua’s father asks her to play one last time, and for the first time in years she defies him, venting out her frustrations and anger on her piano. You need finish this.

Once Hua is knocked down, she is catched by her father, but he misses her piano. You all crash to the ground, the piano being destroyed. Her father, of course, blames this on you. Another battle is about to commence, but he is stopped by Hua playing a familiar melody, one made by her mother. He slowly approaches Hua, and gently begins to play with her.

Talking More About the Manager Swap!AU (Draft)

This was originally what I wanted to say before tumblr decided to eat my post, but I don't feel like any of this is really "new" information. It's really just more perspective on why I made the choices I did.

For starters, this AU was made to fix a problem that I invented: namely that I think Sayu's battle is too difficult to be the second boss and that 1010 is too easy to be the 5th, and that if it were up to me, I would have swapped their order.

While I've made note before about how I think that thematically Sayu and 1010 are nearly identical, meaning you can swap them out without there being major changes to the story, making 1010 the 2nd fight means that every male performer is put into the first half of the game, which to me feels a little imbalanced. My solution to that problem was to swap Sayu and 1010's battle mechanics, so that the artist themselves would stay where they were, but the difficulty would be rebalanced like I would have wanted.

However, their respective battle mechanics are intrinsically linked to what they are: Sayu is an intangible entity that is attacked by cutting off her managers' connection to her to disable her attacks and make it possible to attack her core. To attack the factory, the actual target of this battle, you need to both survive 1010's attack loop and successfully destroy at least one of them to call down the factory and hopefully destroy it before the loop restarts.

So, what I didn't make clear is that in the case of the artificial artists, I think their presentation is based on the managers, but since the managers' personalities are really what got swapped here, the presentation of the artists stays relatively the same, but the operation of their respective idols reflects how the managers operate.

So team Sayu became mecha otaku that turned the abandoned battle bot they found into a heart-throb idol as a part of their hobby, and Neon J. instead of becoming a boy band producer created a girl group to increase the distance between himself and his creations.

As a heads up, I'm not going off of any color coordination of where to put who. It's based off how I personally characterize the 1010s and what I thought was interesting to think about.

Eve - White Eve was the first artist enlisted and thus got first pickings to which 1010 she wanted to help her get set up. She chose White, viewing him as the best of the candidates to mold not unlike a blank canvas. (Though this isn't me saying he IS a blank canvas, more so that the other 1010's had stronger themes going on that could clash with all the ideas she wanted to try.)

The two end up gossiping a lot together. It helps that White has a direct line of information from the other 1010s of what odd things their own charters are doing.

Tatiana - Red Tatiana was the second artist enlisted not long after Eve. She was given the option to choose a helper, though chose not to pick herself. That's ok because Red practically volunteered, really wanting to see that fiery side. She may be much more orderly these days, along with her district, but Red swears he'll get that chaotic rebel out of her one day. He is determined.

Yinu - Blue Yinu's dad was the charter before her. The options he had were between, Blue, Green, and Yellow. Wasn't very fond of the idea of Green and Yellow essentially being explosives. He went with Blue who was already the one to be entertaining Yinu during the meeting.

Blue was passed down to Yinu after she took up the role of Natura's charter after her father's passing. The two are rarely seen without the other.

Sayu - Yellow While Green and Yellow both seemed fun during team Sayu's meeting, Yellow showed an active interest in Sayu but in particular, marine themes. Ended up info dumping about various legends surrounding mermaids and even wondered out loud if they had used some of those old legends as inspiration. They didn't, but they thought what he had to say was really cool though.

DJ Subatomic Supernova - Green DJSS didn't have a choice. Green was the last 1010 who hadn't been assigned to assist anyone. DJSS didn't even want Green or any 1010 to begin with, but it was heavily insisted that he have the assistance getting set up. Heavily insisted meaning forced by his new boss.

Green isn't too keen on DJSS either.

Green in Cast Tech Blue in Natura.#but a big part of this au is how -integrated- the 1010s become in their districts. You can't just swap them. You can't easily take them out #Grew too attached to Blue specifically becoming Yinu's best friend.#It's helped him a lot to be able to focus on her and essentially babysit her then to let himself focus on his own existential dread.

Ah yes My mash up Au (Not a complete swap au hence the mash). Rn playing around with concepts. I’ll be coming back to it, got lots of fun wips so far~ but for now some notes/context-

The Goolings indie rock band. Kul Fyra, lead guitarist. Neon J, manager, light technician and other roles, a jack of all trades (trying out roles as not ready to fully embrace his true passion. DANCE). Kul and J first met at BQQ Chicken, the BQQ Chicken sign now hangs in the band van.

Later on in the story, DJSS an underground DJ and Lily Natura a prodigy harpist (becomes bassist) join the band.

Neon J created 5 A.I. drones and calls them Bytes. Their data based on and inspired from a former boy band >;}c.

Akusuka is the biggest district that it has 4 smaller districts areas within. Art, Music, Dance and Digital (4 mini boss fights before you go for the big fish. And when I say big I mean her first boss phase starts with her biggest form which is skyscraper big).

Yinu the oldest NSR member and is a conductor. Still in grief of losing son and protective of daughter in law. Trying to achieve the perfect performance.

Mayday the CEO of NSR. Thinking of instrument/weapon being a hourglass battle axe. She’s got a moat around her office where a full grown Ellie lives.

The ones left I haven’t figured out yet are Eve, Dk West and Kliff. Though I think it be funny if Kliff stays the exact same as original, so that’s that.

OKAY. scorpiclipse dimension ramble or something. Big post

its basically a sort.of swap au except. Well Lord Eclipse is still Lord and Sun is still servant. Hes like. Timid

think Bambi. But way worse. He is afraid of his own species guys!!! This man is scared of his own shadow/silly/nsrs

Uh. Dimension 65930. The castle is actually located somewhere in the woods. Y'know. A rainforest

It's about like. Uh. well idk the height of the castle yet. Its walls, exterior, are mossy and have vines of those little pink flowers running on the bricks and through those little indentions between each brick. There's a triangular window above the large (wooden) castle doors, and it's a stained glass design of the newton star. Otherwise outside the castle isn't really that special. Sometimes you'll find a rose bush, or a BloodMoon or two wandering around. Think bloodhounds for those guys. Very vicious.

Anyways. back to the castle.

It's located in a rainforest clearing, sometimes called The Elder Grove. its a really ancient area, and the castles been there since it's existence.

Okay. I'm tired of describing that. Time for my kids:3

Lord Eclipse —

He's about like. 7-8 feet tall. Sometimes he'll look more like a Scorpion, though he doesn't very often. Mainly for a sort of intimidation technique before he retires to running away. /Silly

He normally wears something that you'd probably seen other Lord Eclipse's wear, y'know the stereotype (/j)

But. Black pants,, not exactly skin tight but they show off his leg shape I guess. Red cape. A very velvety feel to that. His cape has a hoodie, too! One that doesn't really fit perfectly, looks more like red riding hood. His cape thing has a little golden star shaped connector peice in the middle of his collarbone. He has a white button up shirt, long sleeves that he has rolled up to the elbow. His shoes are heels, yet they aren't stilettoes. How do you describe them. Like boots. Thick heel thing. Black in colour. They have a little red stripe at the ankle.

His personality in general is basically timid and shy. Though he does have a bit of anger issues. Get too close he'll hiss and sting. Or something idk what scorpions do. I'll add more later :3.
