I love the idea of Jon showing up at Wayne Manor and being so formal with Bruce with all the “Mr. Wayne” and “yes, sir” he can throw in and being so timid because he HAS to get this blessing in order for everything to be perfect because Damian “deserves no less” and poor Bruce has his arms crossed and is torturing this poor guy, being as vague as possible and throwing him through multiple loops to test Jon and if he’s actually worthy of Damian but more selfishly it’s all because he wants to feel secure in their relationship. Jon is SWEATING… he takes everything Bruce is saying dead serious and he’s being gaslit to hell like a drill sergeant… he does eventually get that blessing and a heart to heart with Bruce.

Talia is actually quite easy because she’s materialistic and selfishly I like to think that even adult Jon would be mature enough to get along with Talia or at least try because they’ll be in laws and so Talia tells Jon what sort of proper ring he should get Damian and what he’s to do if he wants them to have a fortunate and healthy marriage but he eventually gets a heart to heart with her as well, making him promise that he’d do whatever it takes to keep Damian safe and happy.

THEN when he actually does propose its infront of so many heroes and Damian is freaking out but more at the fact that he’s internally panicking about the fact that someone is actively trying to marry him and he’s begging Jon to stop embarrassing him but Jon is just continuing to go on and on about how happy he’s been with Damian. The batboys are freaking out to the point they are almost as stressed at him, the girls are gawking and clark’s wishing he had his phone.

Damian says “Yes, jeez! If that’ll make you stop this!” and so they’re engaged.

but also, there’s angst because they’d be the only two in the family that has successfully gotten married and Damian would be terrified of this and really in his head about the whole concept of marriage and the fact that… he’s really committed to this whole “life partner” thing…

Jon’s stressed out to the point he almost builds the wedding venue himself because he needs everything to be perfect but clarks there for him.

Conner is Jon’s best man and Dick is Damian’s. Steph and Kara as flower girls and when I tell you that this wedding venue would be AWESOME! it’d be so cultural and visually stimulating and don’t even let me get into how I could go on and on about how their wedding suits could match their cultures as Al Ghul and kryptonian.

anyway, dick’s sharing all their couple fights and all the embarrassing parts of their relationship that they confided in him once he gets a mic in his hand, jason doesnt expect it but he cries with dick. tim is shit faced drunk and clark and bruce are cracking as many in law jokes as they possibly can.

now imagine the most domestic husbands ever. these two are the most embarrassing and annoying married couple you will ever meet but they also dance in their kitchen to absolutely no music and cook each other breakfast in the morning every day so its not all going to be bad.

Okay so im gonna just throw randomly my thoughts on sm6 while rewatching it cuz why not, I was doing the same thing for hazbin hotel so why not spooky month too?

So yeah, SPOOKY MONTH 6 SPOILERS WARNING‼️

Ok im just gonna say: that starting scene with thieves was kinda funny. Also rewatching it, im starting to suspect that this giant spider thing in Lilas attic have her husbands soul, IDK WHY, I JUST FEEL LIKE IT, it just looks so important, it even appeared twice in the ep: in the begining n in the end.

Also ARE WE JUST GONNA IGNORE HOW JAUNE CALLED LILA "HOT-STUFF"??? WHILE HAVING A HUSBAND?????? A HUSBAND THAT SITTING NEARBY HER WHEN SHE SAYING THAT???????? ARE THEY IN A POLY RELATIONSHIPS HOLY FUCKING SHIT????????????? IM EVEN MORE INTRIGED NOW

Okay so Skid does know and remember his dad, I just was thinking that his father left/died when Skid still wasnt born or when he was very little so Skid doesnt even know that he had a father, but no he does remember his dad, so that means he presented for quite long time in Skids life.

Also im really suprised how big Pumps house is, well i mean— he said that his parents work alot so ig i shouldnt be suprised-

ALSO the fact that ppl started coming in the store ONLY after Radford sprinkled holy water in it-- DOES THAT MEAN THAT THERE WERE DEMONS IN IT THAT WERE KEEPING PPL AWAY???

Okay... This is the part when i literally teared up. I know it was just Moloch trying to fool Father Gregor to give him kids but idk.... It still made me tear up for some reason, and i even know the reason: i just miss Dexter so much n i didnt expect him to appear so much times in this ep, I just think hes a precious boy who deserved better. I KNOW THAT HE WAS KILLING ANIMALS N I DONT APPROVE THAT AT ALL, but hes still a sweetie idfc.

Also why would Patty need a gun so immediatly?..

Also that part when Moloch were wandering around the town n Father n spooky bois were trying to catch him was so funny and entertaining

AND OMG THIS PART WHEN MOLOCH POSSESED SKID N PUMPS BODIES AND THE FATHER EXORCISMS THEM WAS SOOOO COOL, I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY, I THINK I JUST HAVE A THING FOR DEMONS N EXORCISM.

And this is the part where i actually cried alot. Poor Skid doesnt know that its not his fault at all.. Also even if Father Gregors words were kinda mean, that Lila is irresponsible mother, I cant disagree with them. Yes, she is an alone mother, but it doesnt give her permission to just leave her child to himself n his friend n go drink n then spent time w her child drunk. Yeah i know, that she leaves him to mr Wonder n Susie, but lets be honest, were here even a single time when the kids didnt just leave the house n cause problem? No. So i think the Fathers words are make perfect sense, n Lila should think bout it. Also a lil thing i just thought bout, why would Lila throw away her husbands stuff? If he actually died why would she do this? Or hes not dead n he just left for some reason? Idk

Also OMFG THAT OOGA BOOGA JUMPSCARE GOT ME SO FUCKING GOOD, I WASNT READY FOR AT ALL

First Jay loses her for a entire year then they finally get eachother back and then she loses him for what like 6 years now IM DYING WHYYY WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DO THIS IT WAS SO FOWL BUT I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH RAAAHGGGG

But I just love the fact even though it’s been years since they have seen each other Nya knows him well enough that she was the first one to realize it was a trick BUT IT HURTS MY SOULL

The fact that it’s all dark with the shiny floor so it really has you focus on them is even worse the amount of times I had to pause this scene because it was giving me emotions killed me

I HAVE A THEORY THOUGH

Alright so now that it’s technically canon that Jay has memory loss I’m wondering now. I don’t think Nyas fear was for Jay to forget her I think it was if Jay got hurt, she sacrificed herself to save him she put herself in front of him in prime empire and got cubed she’d do anything to protect him but I don’t think it crossed her mind for him to forget her cuss she new almost immediately when he said “stop acting like you know me” or “who are you” that it wasn’t him, literally the first line that he’s ever said is about Nya dude ain’t forgetting her and she knows this

Maybe I’m just going insane but we learn after that he actually does have memory loss and I just feel like they did that on purpose I called it out when I watched it to my sister (I’m the most annoying person to watch with)

I also wanna add how much I love Jay because he’s just bad at his job but hey at least he’s trying I think, I just love this interaction with Bonsel and Jay RAAHHHg

Andrew had a list of reasons why he believed he had met his true soulmate. He felt so comfortable around Y/N, like it was easier to breathe around her. She was furniture in the house in the best way, a beautiful addition that is right where it belongs, always where he needs it. She fit in every part of his life, like she was part of the puzzle his life will be displayed as. He felt like she was helping him put the puzzle together, she had the image on the front of the box and put the small bits together with a relaxed ere that Andrew could never achieve.

He often tried to tell her this, and she rolled her eyes at his artistic sappiness.

It happened once when he was sick, he had pushed himself too far in the studio and ended up with laryngitis, again. Y/N's heart melted at his sad scratchy voice and his sweater arms pulled over his hands. She plodded up the stairs with a mug of tea with plenty of honey, and pushed open the old, painted door that would often get stuck in the frame. Andrew's head picked up from his pillow slightly, and fell back down after recognizing the figure. Her socked feet continued over the antique hardwood floors that have held up for centuries, and placed the mug on the slightly more modern bedside table next to her resting husband. She pushed his messy hair out off his face and placed a kiss on his heated forehead. Andrew started to lean up, and reached his lithe arm out to grab his mug of extra-sweet tea.

"You're really my soulmate, Y/N", he said, as a thank you.

"Ok, whatever you say" Y/N replied, laughing slightly, thinking him a little dramatic.

Another time, Y/N was yelling for him from the hallway. He poked his head out of his music room and saw Y/N drop the tool box on the ground next to their bedroom.

"I need help taking this door off, I'm tired of it sticking so I'm taking the paint off "

"You can do that?"

"Yeah, there's a paste that like, dissolves the paint or something"

"Why don't we just, buy a new door?"

"It's been in the house for so long, I would feel bad! And its so beautiful, I just hate that all wood these days is covered in white paint"

Andrew stared at her, he knew she loved old things, but watching her take the time to restore something old and meaningful was so sweet, he appreciated that she shared his love of antiques and vintage items.

"You're my soulmate, you know that?", he added after his pause.

"Yeah yeah. Just be ready to catch the door"

He helped her set up the door in the garage to be worked on, and often checked on her whenever he took breaks from his music. He liked to bring her drinks, and iced tea (which he found offensive, as an irishman), topped with ice and often, a lemon wedge.

He placed the cold glass on the work bench in the back of the garage, the doors open with a view of the rain pouring outside. Y/N stood in her "messy" clothes, which consisted of a ratty t-shirt that she's kept for years, and paint stained leggings. He watched her slather whatever mysterious liquid she claimed could strip paint on the old door. Andrew walks over to her, and places a small kiss on her shoulder blade while she works.

"Thank you babe", she exclaims, without l looking up from her work.

"Anything for my soulmate"

"Ok, let me know when you find her"

Andrew closed the door to their bedroom, now nice and lacquered, the beautiful brown wood now free from the paint that trapped it for many years. The antique knob, polished and brassy, felt cold under his hand, and he could feel the latch click through the metal. The room was dark, Y/N having gone to bed an hour or two ago. He turns the TV in front of their bed off, and climbs into bed, tucking the lush covers around him and Y/N.

His arm stretched out to pull Y/N a little closer, his had cradling the back of her head.

"I love you Y/N, you're my soulmate", he says, even though he knows she's asleep.

It's the only time he can say it and have it be treated with the reverence it deserves.

i imagine when daemon returns she is maybe away with her tutor on a rare opportunity to live with a dothraki tribe for a few months to lesrn their customs and the language. perhaps the dothraki were flattered by her interest and respect.

when she returns, the castle is a full of celebration and daemon is so curious to see the young girl behind all the sweet rumors and the remember the neice he coddled when he was younger. he's all but forgotten her in his years of drinking and living off repeats of his memories of nyra.when nyra goes rushing past him to hug her does he smacked in the face of all those memories he made with his little neice.

buying her her first pair of riding boots, her first dragon ride, braiding her hair because hes the only one who doesnt do it too tight or too loose. scolding her tutor for being too hard on her. sneaking her away from her septa to play hide and seek. being dragged by her and nyra to play 'house' hahah thats bound to be so on the nose. Ofcourse hes the husband! he enjoys those, being fretted over and serve with wooden toy teacups. he remembers being her only visitor as a babe when nyra was bawling for hours in her room and his brother was mourning over the loss of his wife. he remembers holding her at the funeral and its was near impossible them to tear her away. he remembers thinking how he could fathom the babe in his arm ever being in that enevlope of fire. dead and still. how the young him swore it would never happen and he's always protect her. he also remembers hearing wisps of her name during his banishment and realises now why it was whispered so covetously. not loud and bold adoration like nyra.rhaenyra was the delight of the kingdom, she was the coveted secret. and now he learns what it means to long and covet after her too.

ofcourse, daemon overtime has instances forgets his place as nyras husband as he gets consumed by her. chasing after her across the kingdom and struggling to control himself. he starts lashing out at her admirers. Nyra is becoming furious, jealous and possesive. meanwhile reader is caught in a storm of her own emotions. she wants to love him but cant. needs to cut it off but wont. AAAH my imagination has run too far! hahah anyways please dont feel pressured with this ask. im just work vommiting! your work is amazing and i cant believe i get to read it just for free liek this??? u deserve everything good!

You feel sick, as though your stomach will turn inside out within your belly, a rush of dizziness spotting your vision at the sight of him. "You - you-"

"Me," your uncle taunts, stepping through the open archway from the balcony into your chambers. Daemon is drenched from the rain, wild-eyed and eyes blazing, shaking the waterlogged strands from his face. He looks about the room disdainfully, taking in the plainer fare of the accommodations your mother's House had provided you. "I expected you to run, but this? Here? How... dull."

You cannot help the tears that well, and you cast around in panic for an escape. The door has been barred. You curse yourself for requesting rooms so far removed from the others, for now there is no one to hear you scream.

"Please," you beg, backing away even as he advances toward you, clutching onto the meagre layers of your shift in the vain hope of concealing your form from him. He eyes you like a wolf does its prey - like a dragon devouring its kill. "Go home, Uncle - there is nothing for you here!"

"Oh, I think not," he replies, smirking as you grab for the door handle, a futile attempt at retreat.

He knows it's futile; he makes his way leisurely toward you, strolling forward like a man with all the time in the world to waste. You turn your head away and whimper as the hard line of his body settles against you, chilled and soaking through your nightrail, his nose carving a trail along your neck and inhaling.

"Mm," he moans, smiling against you when you sob, "so sweet, little niece. You were waiting for me, weren't you?"

You shake your head, cringing as he divests himself of his shirt, the fabric slapping damply against the stone floor. You squinch your eyes shut. Perhaps if I keep them closed, he will go away and this will stop. To no avail; you hear the sound of boots being discarded, the squelch of breeches hitting the ground, and you know when he returns to you that he is - he is -

"No!" you squeak, striking out aimlessly.

He groans as you make contact, though you do not know if you have struck him in the gut or the groin, and push past him, taking advantage of the moment. There is nowhere to run. Only one entry which he stands before, and you know you will not unlatch the door in time to make your exit; you briefly consider accepting death by plunging from the edge of the balcony, but he cannot win this way. You will not let him. You hear footsteps - you dart to the hearth - spinning around, you brandish the poker at him.

"Go home to Rhaenyra, uncle," you speak, though the words come out tremulously. You steadfastly avoid looking below his waist, not wishing to see the appendage with which he desires to violate you. "I have told you that I will not become your whore. You are wed in the eyes of the gods, and my virtue belongs to my husband alone."

"Your husband," he sneers, batting your makeshift weapon from your hand with little effort, grasping you by the throat in a punitive hold. "What common man could ever be good enough for the blood of Old Valyria? You're mine, Princess - and I will have you."

"Why are you doing this?" you gasp, clutching at his arm. He does not let up on his grip; his countenance is dangerous, eyes dark beneath the stern ridge of his brow, and for a moment you are worried he means to murder you. Then, sighing, he readjusts, loosening his grasp, keeping you still with the threat of renewed asphyxiation. You try to appeal to him. "I have been naught but your family, Uncle," you whisper beseechingly. "You used to play with me as a child!"

"And now it is time for you to perform as a woman must," he responds, grabbing you by the hip, and his face seems almost regretful at the statement.

You can feel the steel firmness of his - endowment - at your belly, and you gulp. His expression turns softer, his thumb rubbing circles into the flesh of your throat.

"I'll be gentle, sweetling," he says, "but you have no choice now. I'll take your maidenhead as my own, for it belongs to me. You'll bleed, though that cannot be helped. And, finally, I'll spill in you, because that is my right as your husband."

"Hus - husband?"

"Yes, my love," he croons, scruffing you by the neck to stop you recoiling as he leans in to kiss the tears from your cheeks. "I'll bed you, then wed you - out of order, perhaps, but you'll get your wish. Your virtue will belong to your husband. I'm sure 'Nyra will learn to share. Aegon's wives did, and so shall mine."

"Enough," he barks, dragging you by the waist. You try to pull against him, but it is pointless - he is a battle-hardened warrior, built to make war against men far bigger and stronger than you. He tosses you upon your bed, dragging you down by the ankle when you turn to your belly and attempt to crawl away. "I tried to be nice, little girl, but I won't waste my time if you're going to be naughty."

He holds you down by the neck, shoving your face into the covers as he rucks up the back of your shift. You weep uncontrollably, kicking out your legs when he jerks them apart to settle in the space he has made. His fingers quest along your most secret places, coating your flesh in something slimy and warm - his saliva, you realise with disgust - digging uncomfortably into a crevice you have never dared to touch. It is replaced by the feeling of something much larger, hotter, more frightening. And then you are -

- and you shriek at the blistering iron of it, this invasion that rips you and annihilates everything that was bright and innocent and good. He holds you there, wailing, and kisses your shoulder even as he forces himself further.

it was absolutely the first case you were gone on without aaron after his retirement when you got a call from aaron asking “how mad would you be if you came home and we had a dog?” ALSHDKSJSKSKS 😭 but of course you have no problem with it!!!!! the kids have been begging for a dog for a while now (jack mostly, and his little sister just wants whatever her big brother wants 🤭) but!!!!!!! when you get home your hotchners, you find not one (1) dog but TWO (2!!!)!!!!!! one big sweet doggy and one little sweet doggy barking happily and jumping around your tiny girl while your teen boy uses treats to try and get them to sit but they are Much More interested in coming over to greet you 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭 aaron gives you a sheepish grin when you kneel down to meet your new family members <3 and he tells you that when they went to the shelter to pet dogs they found this bonded pair of doggies :( who had been there for a while waiting for their forever family :( and as much as he’d like to say that the kids (and the dogs akshsjaj) turned their puppy dog eyes on him to bring the dogs home but honestly he was asking the shelter volunteers for their adoption papers before they could even tell you their names 🥺🥺🥺 and hearing that (both from your darling handsome aar-bear who you can’t wait to cover in the kisses, and from the kids) makes you fall in love with aaron all over again :’))))) knowing that he looked at these sweet doggies who needed a family to love them and Knew your family was theirs makes your heart squish HARD in your chest :’)))) he’s just so sweet :( and even in his retirement he can’t stop saving people 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

long drabble about the events of purgatory day 14

mainly a Jaiden pov watcher but i was tuned into Phil for awhile today just to get a good sense of what was happening, and i needed something to fill the Jaiden shaped hole in my head. i went in with good intentions and hope for the future and came out with angst and a desire to write. drabble under the cut

Philza doesnt know what to think about after today, so he thinks about Bolas.

he thinks of Jaiden, still passed out, broken, beaten, unconscious curled up in their old base like she has been for the past week. the sole reason for the teams name and the heart of it all. he hopes she was far enough underground that the meteors didn't hurt her. but even if they somehow managed to miss, the earthquake would have gotten her anyways. still, he has hope, Jaiden's always been resilient, bouncing back up after every death since the first day they met. bobby's death took a toll on her, broke her, some could say, but even still, in purgatory, literal hell, she thrived. screeching across the coms as her death messages filled the communicators, laughing to herself as she was killed over and over again, knowing that its for the good of the team. god he hopes shes ok, wherever she is now, she deserves it.

he thinks of Baghera, a broken woman,clinging to the child she couldn't save. purgatory broke her, she was damaged before the eggs, before everything, Pomme's disappearance was the catalyst, but Hell was the straw that broke the camels back. he recalls howling around the campfire of their corpses, and in the heat of the moment, and to the shock of the others around her, she exclaimed that the watcher could kill Pomme, and she wouldn't even care. Phil knew then that it wasn't true and now, more than ever. so she stayed back, willing to sacrifice her life, possibly for good this time.

he thinks of Cellbit, a man pushed to his limits. people are made without purpose, but Phil thinks that if anyone has one, Cellbits is to love. he loved his husband, even on the battlefield, when they both killed each other multiple times and came out stronger in in their relationship than ever before. he loved Bolas, maybe not in the same way but loved them all none the less, because they were a team, and nothing could take that away from them. they fought together, killed together, ate together, slept together, and sometimes that creates the strongest bonds of all. and if he started the trend of calling Phil dad, even as a joke? well, who is he to complain. he loved Richarlyson more than the world itself. his one true confident, the only one who knew mostly all of his plans. the egg that was taken from him. the egg's disappearance that drove him to start killing again. the egg that kept him killing through hell. the egg that he died trying to save, perhaps an attempt to provide a sacrifice to the watcher so he would return his son to him.

he thinks of Foolish, who made it on the boat with him. Jaiden was the closest anyone on the island had ever gotten to Foolish, asides from Bad maybe. his cheerful exterior finally cracked, just like his totem body, he sits silent, and Phil knows he isn't taking this well. he cant remember the last time he saw him this still.

he thinks of Charlie, and knows the code seems to have spread. it's licking at his shirt now, spreading to his biceps and moving across the frames of his glasses like an oil spill. he knows that he and Baghera were close, remembers the two singing in tandem at karaoke, the goldfish joke, and hes heard the horror stories of The Big Swell. Phil doesn't know what to do about charlie, so deep in Codeflippa's delusion that he doesn't think he could pull him out no matter what he did. with over half of bolas gone charlie is vulnerable, and Phil silently vows to not allow him near "Flippa" alone ever again, lest it take advantage of him. if he cant stop the spread, maybe he can slow it until something or someone else can.

he thinks of Etoiles, and its difficult to get a read on the stoic warrior. however, he knows hes probably feeling guilty over it all, his duty, as hes stated many times during many different occasions, is to protect. he could hardly save himself, much less others this time, and Phil doesn't know what to tell him. he moves to sit over next to the warrior, and hopes Etoiles appreciates the closeness.

She's honestly a way deeper character than people give her credit for, her arc is that of acceptance and being true to your heart despite what society thinks of you. Oh yeah and for the record she doesn't stand in the way of Lougosi because of her crush on Legoshi because I honestly think that she was more in love with the idea of being in a same species relationship than she was with Legoshi himself. I'm talking about the part where she falls for Louis and struggles with the knowledge that if she actually pursues him she's gonna be seen as a freak and never reach the social status she strives for. There's a lot to discuss with her character arc but NOOOO let's all just laugh at how she gets no bitches because Beastars fans see Juno as a joke. (I'm not mad I'm not mad it's fine it's fine)

shes cool but she doesnt have good chemistry with her canon love interest and therefore the fandom chalks her up to having no personality whatsoever. they see her as either an obstacle or a sex object basically

Keiko O'Brien

Certain People I Could Name insist on shipping her husband with the annoying twink doctor Julian Bashir because of the friendship they develop over the series. I maintain that O'Brien would never cheat on his wife, let alone with another man, and the response is often "they're in a polycule together!!!" which is even more out of character. Everyone please show my girl Keiko some more respect 😤

Wife of chief engineer Miles O'Brien, who is shipped with the chief medical officer, Julian Bashir. Show itself veered into misogyny regarding her and her marriage, manifesting as Miles constantly complaining about her and her encouraging him to go hang out with Julian and leave her and their daughter alone. Fandom responded to this by creating the "O'Brien polycule" including Keiko, Miles, Julian, and first officer Kira Nerys (who has another strange semi-romantic subplot with both O'Briens). Really, though, it just exists to have Julian/Miles without reckoning with Miles having to cheat to get there. I, too, was guilty of this in the past. Keiko had the potential to be a very interesting character (and started to be, early in the show) but it was never realized. She deserved better :(

keiko is a lovely lady and astrobotanist who had a whole romance with and married the more main character miles obrien but now frequently people sideline her to (semi-jokingly?) ship miles with his friend julian. she’s not the best written character and she deserved so much more from the narrative, but it still feels weird that the fan joke about her is always how much she is constantly encouraging her husband to cheat on her (which to be fair does happen a few times but not That much)

Sure! (given in no particular order)

1. Daichi from Haikyuu, of course.. I just love everything about him. He's a great captain and he has a big appetite and he's so down to earth and masculine in the best ways, what a man!!! I want a tattoo of him on my body!

2. Pam Poovey from Archer. It's hard to stand out in a show where nearly every character is the single most interesting person in the world but I really do think that Pam takes the cake. She's a real one. She stays true to herself no matter how much everyone else begs her to stop and I RESPECT THAT. Also she's a fat character who isn't limited to being the Fat Character. While her weight does come up, often in insulting jokes or bits, she has so much else to her that it feels like such a small part of her character.

3. Princess Carolyn from Bojack Horseman. Out of all the insanely good character arcs in Bojack Horseman, Princess Carolyn's is my favorite. Usually the hardworking career woman character who wants a baby winds up the most disappointing character for me because she always gives up her career to be a mom but NOT MY GIRL PRINCESS CAROLYN. She said I want to be a badass boss lady AND a mom and I don't need no man to get what I want! And she did that shit. She deserves it.

4. Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers. I aspire to be like Linda. She's fun, she's extroverted, she is just so excited to live her modest life with a struggling burger business, a husband she actually enjoys spending time with, and 3 kids she adores with every fiber of her being. She sings and dances at any given opportunity and doesnt let embarrassment faze her. What an icon.

5. Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings. Every time I think of him I wanna cry. He's just so.... perfect.... and wonderful.... He is the sweetest, bravest man to ever exist and NOBODY CAN ARGUE. The original Ride or Die. We all need a Samwise Gamgee in our lives. 🖤

6. Usopp from One Piece. That's my boy! He's so funny and relatable. I love characters who are brave while being terrified. Despite his wacky goofy personality, he's complex and insecure but he stands by his guns and isn't afraid to challenge even his best friend/captain to defend what he believes and GOSH what a stand up guy ammiright?

7. Eleanor Shellstrop from The Good Place. I love a disaster of a woman. She's a selfish bisexual with zero shame, what's more to love? I just can't help it. I'm weak for women who are just The Worst ™️.

8. Manny from Swiss Army Man. I mean... He's dead, he teaches us what it means to be alive, and he's played by Daniel Radcliffe. He's basically the perfect character, right? Listen, Swiss Army Man is my all time favorite movie and I want everyone else to like it too. I can't even talk much on it because it's so much better when you watch it yourself. Especially if you love amazing soundtracks, beautiful visuals, and queer revelations.

9. Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. I'm such a sucker for husbands who are obsessed with their wives and men in touch with their emotions and Hal is the epitome of both those things! I watched this show while growing up and I truly think that Bryan Cranston's portrayal of Hal taught me how men are supposed to act, especially in regards to their romantic partners. And now my own partner is basically a less theatrical version of him so it paid off ya know?

10. Judas Iscariot from Jesus Christ Superstar (1973). This is mainly based on performance. Carl Anderson did such an AMAZING job playing Judas that he literally stole the show, imo. Jesus who? You mean Judas's boyfriend? It's not JUST his performance though, the way the character is written is so well done that I feel like Judas is the real main character. Yeah, this is the story about Jesus but he ain't the star, ya dig? He's a basic bitch in comparison to the complexity and emotional turmoil of Judas. Also they're gay and in love, what a tragedy! This is cinema!

Idk if you’ve answered this already but at what point in their relationship did Jesse tell Demi ab his past? How did that go over? How much does she know?

ive mentioned it some before but i haven't really gone super in depth!! as u all may know, i am very "and then everyone made it to alaska and everything ended up ok!! :)" minded, so i dont have a big dramatic revelation beat to my story and ultimately, jesse never tells demi that he's living under a completely new identity. however, he does tell her a Lot of other things, partially because he trusts her, partially because he feels guilty keeping things from her that might make her see him differently; he feels that she deserves to know how fucked up he is so she can escape him and avoid tying herself down to a mistake. jesse first tells her about his drug use after demi explains how her sister died, again out of that guilt and the expectation that she won't want to associate with a former(ish) addict, but demi saw firsthand how powerful addiction can be and isnt scared off. when it comes to his criminal history, it takes him a little longer to work up the nerve to disclose that stuff: he's afraid of both endangering her by letting her know what he's done and losing her. he drops a few things along the way, usually related to drug dealing and production since she was so understanding of that aspect of his past, but once they decide to get married, he feels that he owes it to her to be totally honest. the dark details of making and selling the drugs, being around violence and controlling figures. enacting violence himself. losing people. being sold into slavery. he leaves out specific identifying details (demi's never been a current events kind of person but he cant risk her connecting those dots) and places a lot of the blame on himself instead of trying to describe the people from his past who were pulling a lot of those strings. its basically an abridged version of the show's events, no names, no details in certain places (he doesnt even tell her which state he used to live in), and no forgiveness.

demi listens patiently the whole time, not asking many questions along the way. she tenses up when he touches on captivity, but otherwise her demeanor remains open and nonjudgmental. when it's over, she doesn't say anything, which is somehow worse than disgust. jesse is so wound up at this point that he flips out on her, insisting that this is her time to cut her losses. he's a criminal, a fucking murderer. he's evil. demi still doesnt react the way he wants and instead just waits until he's out of venom before reaching out to very gently smooth down his hair. petting the angry, upset dog instead of reflexively giving him away. "im sorry you've had to carry that around with you all this time," she says softly and that breaks him. because it Has been so hard carrying that around. demi asks a few more questions, clarifies a few more things, then tells him what she thinks. that she's seen how he acts now, how he treats people, how he treats himself. that she grew up with a father who sounds like the figures he alluded to in his story. that she is uncertain and insecure about a lot of things, but she's never been more sure that jesse is a good person and that she loves him irrespective of whatever came before. "im dangerous," he insists, a former fighting dog that would rather die than return to the ring. a hand on his own—"then why do i feel so safe with u?"

it's not perfect. there will always be things that jesse never shares with her and he will never totally forgive himself because as the one living person who knows the Extent of what went down, he feels that it's his responsibility to hold himself accountable for It for the rest of his life. demi's perception of him Does change, although not entirely in a negative way, and she is a little hurt that he expected her to bail so quickly and she can't lie and say that her mind doesn't occasionally drift to the fact that her husband has killed people. but at the end of the day, they're two broken people who were utterly convinced that their lives were over before they found each other. this is their second chance at life and they're never going to take that or each other for granted. whatever comes, they're going to face it together

i see a lot of talk going around about how the team were terrible to daisy after 5x14 and one person even said that it was basically a darvo situation, and i want to add my opinion to the pile, cause i disagree with that a lot. i also generally have a problem with how people tend to defend their favourite to the absolute while villainizing almost every other character in this discourse. they all deserve equal amounts of empathy.

lets get a few disclaimers out of the way first: from my perspective, what happened wasnt anyones fault, they were all victims in this situation. fitz cant be blamed for having a psychic split, daisy had every right and more to react the way that she did, thats not even a discussion. it was also just absolutely the right decision, fitz wasnt trustworthy anymore after that. he absolutely did care about what he did though, he mentioned how he was scared by how he still thought he did the right thing at least twice. thats not the same thing as being horrified at what he did exactly, but the reasons for his split didnt go away just because it happened, and this is about as close as you can get in this situation i think. i also think his whole " i didnt have a choice" shtick was more about him trying to make sense of what happened rather than trying to deflect blame, because he generally lacks empathy for other people a bit and getting defensive and not considering whether that is appropriate right now is perfectly in character for him (still terrible on his part despite all that though, and this is probably where the darvo thing comes from as far as it concerns him). now:

the way i see the aftermath of that episode is that with everything still happening, coulson gone and possibly (definitley, its hydra) being tortured for intel, the end of the world still fast approaching, and daisy still being convinced its somehow gonna be her fault (especially after having her powers restored), none of them could allow themselves to break right now. and crucially: noone blamed daisy for the way she reacted or attacked her for it. may thought she wasnt ready for coulsons job after literally just being tortured, and she was right about that, that was way too much pressure to put on her after that (despite that, i still think daisy did a good job, but she shouldnt have had to). mack agreed with daisy fully. simmons was definitley not okay anymore after what happened and acted increasingly irrationally. she just watched her husband torture her best friend while being held at gunpoint by a robot he programmed, after which daisy had no time to talk to her and fitz was locked in a cell and disillusioned about who he was. she was essentially alone to deal with the situation.

it doesnt excuse what she did, but i also dont think she wouldve acted the way she did if she was fully sane at that point. i mean, she risked swallowing literal acid because she thought she was invincible due to knowing she makes it past the worlds destruction. before this, she was very, starkly different. those are not the actions of someone whos secretly a sociopath like many regularly accuse her of being, theyre the actions of someone who has been pushed completely past their breaking point. as for yoyo, she lost her goddamn arms and was absolutely convinced that daisys path was going to lead to the entire worlds destruction. and that was what she was mad at daisy about.

this was the entire tragedy of that situation: its not a question of fault. they all acted terribly towards each other, and they all had good reasons for it, even if they were being unfair or vicious. it just happened.

so they all pushed what fitz did aside for the moment to focus on the mission, but its literally the main factor of what drove the team apart for the rest of the season, because daisy was focused on her interpretation of the prophecy and wasnt gonna trust fitz or anything he said anymore, simmons and yoyo were convinced he was right and felt daisy wasnt listening to them, and then they managed to scrape themselves back together as a team, just barely, and saved the world, losing both coulson and fitz in the process. in my headcanon the team patched up most of their differences after 5x22, based on how it ended, flashbacks and mentions from season 6 as well as the team being friendly with each other again, and the fact that this show isnt the kind to just ignore events like this, if things are radically different between seasons its safe to assume that stuff happened off screen, not that the writers were lazy. losing two members of their shared family probably also provided them with some perspective and reminded them of how much they all mean to one another.

and this hit all of them very hard, and they all dealt with it in their own way without involving the others. all of them, not just daisy. mack focused on his job 100%, may and elena helped him, simmons went to space to find fitz and daisy came with her because everything reminded her of coulson and theyre each others best friend. when they all came back together, they had managed to somewhat move on from what happened and probably werent to keen on bringing it up again. i mean we saw how sarge had them all bent out of shape because he had coulsons face. they were not over it. nevermind the fact that they had another alien invasion on their hands at the time.

MORE TOWNIES COMING YOUR WAY!

So here's another household I've created for my Vintage Save File: meet the Dalton family, one of the wealthiest lineages in Del Sol Valley. They are indeed richer than any other family in town, but most of the High Society refuses to mingle with them as they all know the Daltons are not only what they consider to be tacky "new money", but also kind of dirty. Still, allow me to introduce you to each and every one of them:

Dito Dalton:

Dito is the head of the family. A shady character for sure, he comes from the poorest of backgrounds but was always determined to make it and make it big. It's no secret he made his fortune by smuggling liquors & spirits into the country during the Prohibition Era... among other "businesses". Rumor has it he's also involved with the Mafia and, therefore, the murders and disappearances that are taking place in Del Sol Valley lately. No one knows for sure, but no one wants to mess with him and find out. You know, just in case.

He feels a special predilection for his son Diretes, who he's hoping will take over the family business once he's too old to carry on. His other son Dimes, on the other hand... always seems to find a way to dissapoint him. What is wrong with that kiddo?

Daltonia Dalton:

Daltonia married Dito when he didn't have a dime to his name, believing he would someday fullfill his promise of giving her everything she deserved and dreamed of. And boy, did he delivered! Daltonia now enjoys the lifestyle she always knew she was meant to have, and is quite unapologetic about it. Vain, frivolous and entitled, she's aware of what everyone in town says about her husband, but she doesn't really care about where the money is coming from... as long as it keeps on coming.

However, she's a great mom to her twin sons Dimes & Diretes. She's always caring & supportive, especially to Dimes, who has different goals for himself than those his dad has set for him and whose personality always seems to be crashing with Dito's.

Dimes Dalton:

Dimes' not only good looking, he's also incredibly sensitive and affectionate... both qualities his father Dito and twin brother Diretes don't care about nor appreciate. They're always telling him he should show more interest in the family affairs, but Dimes has a secret dream he doesn't even dare to mention to his dad: he wants to become a great chef. "Cooking?", he knows he would say. "Why don't you leave the domestic duties to women and focus on what a real man should be doing?". Ugh.

His mom on the other hand fully supports him, though she's always kind of pushy when it comes to his dating life. "Why don't you ever go out with girls, Dimes? Any gal should be lucky to have such a warm, loving man like you!"... if only she knew wanting to be a chef's not the only secret Dimes is keeping!

Diretes Dalton:

No matter how hard his mom tries to keep him away from trouble, Diretes' always finding new ways to get involved in the worst kind of scenarios and with the worst kind of people. An attitude his father Dito finds quite endearing though, as it reminds him of himself when he was Diretes' age. Diretes' also quite a lover boy: he knows his way around the ladies and is not afraid of making the most of his abilities. He deeply admires Dito's firm hand with others and his determination to succeed, so he's always running errands for him and trying to imitate his ways around... in hopes of someday inheriting the empire his father has built.

Truth being told, Diretes doesnt' have the best relationship with his twin brother Dimes, but listen... he won't think twice to beat the shit out of whoever dares to call him "sissy" again.

ok so. i think she is an accident bc they were starting to get a little Not Careful At All and also someone told felix that u cant get pregnant on t (which is false) and he believed them. oops.

so like they decide to keep the baby and she is born and she is like a carbon copy of sylvain. with felixs nose and hair color but like basically sylvain jr. and felix is like kinda superfically mad that she doesnt really look like him but he loves that she looks so much like sylvain bc he loves sylvain so much. they name her cal bc felix wanted her legal name to be gender neutral in case she every wanted to trans her gender but they call her callie.

they love her very much and felix becomes so so soft bc of her. like the scene in parks and rec where donna is like "ur family has made u a more kind and thoughtful person" and ron is like "u take that back right now."

felix is kinda like germaphobe parent bc he tends to be more overprotective of her and sylvain is like the "let her eat sand it builds her immune system :)" parent bc they tend to have a more like "let her figure it out herself" parenting style.

i think she calls sylvain dada for her first years and then she starts calling him dad. and i think she calls felix daddy forever and thats how she differentiates the two.

i know i said felix is more overprotective but even he is not immune to big brown sylvain eyes x2 when she and sylvain wanna do smth fun. i Do think felix wants to start teaching her how to use a sword when shes like 3 and sylvain is like "Are you fucking joking. no way" and felix is like "i started sword fighting when i was her age and i turned out ok" and sylvains like "DID YOU?" and felix gives them The Look

also felix is very glad to not be the shortest one in the house finally and then she grows up to be 5'10. also shes a lesbian

felix would defend her to the ends of the earth like if her preschool teacher told him that she bit another child he would be like "well the bastard probably deserved it. so" and sylvain would be no help either bc hed be like "YEAH! what my husband said"

also she says fuck when shes like 2 and sylvain is like egging her on and they bring her over to felix like (laughing) "babe. baby listen to this. ok say it again sweety" and shes like (baby voice) "FUCK!" like sasuke is clearly deeply unhappy in boruto which is fine, i honestly think its GOOD that he's not just like suddenly content with his life and himself after the finale of shippuden, its just also sort of insane that the post canon where he is no longer the focus is one where he's so potently miserable. he's clearly still reluctant to really face konoha. he still feels like an outcast or a bad apple, he still thinks he needs to atone for what he did as a teenager, despite the fact that he's been actively atoning for like a decade. but it'll never be enough. the only person he is not afraid to face and does not think he has failed is naruto, but even then he is still eager to isolate himself again, and i KNOW that its isolating and not just "being by himself" (sasuke has never been an outwardly emotional person (except under major duress), and while i believe a lot of this is repression its also just how he is, so no amount of healing would make him as open as, say, naruto, but i digress) because these are not the words of a happy man. "if she hates me its fine, because at least the future will be bright". "this is also a journey of atonement." naruto WANTS him to stay, believes its been long enough, the people of konoha don't hate him anymore (not sure how true this is but it's what naruto believes/wants to be true), but sasuke says they should stick to what they're meant to do, which means naruto as the hokage, because he is well loved and good with people, and sasuke in the shadows, because he is meant to be alone and unrecognized.

tbc i don't think that sasuke could be happy "settling down," i don't think he DOESNT like being on the move all the time, but the scene with naruto where he leaves konoha without saying goodbye to anybody is clearly not a scene where sasuke is content with his life in the way naruto is. he isn't doing this because he wants to, its because he thinks that he has to suffer in order to be good, and that the people of konoha wouldn't accept him any other way. it IS TRUE that sasuke has always been a big believer in sacrifice for the greater good and wouldn't consider his own happiness to be important compared to the missions he needed to go on, regardless of how deserving of happiness he considered himself to be, but i absolutely refuse to believe that, if he DID believe he deserved it, there has been NO TIME EVER that he could come home and just be regular. just for a little. there is absolutely something that is pushing him out of konoha, unrelated to "i have a mission to go on." there's still a disconnect.

WHICH. unfortunately. brings me to. end of shippuden. he receives a letter from naruto praising him for protecting the village even without being there, he thinks, "maybe it's time to come home." sometime before he comes home, he catches wind that naruto is getting married. he sends a letter with nothing on it other than "congratulations," and he does not come home. for like 4 more years. next time he's home for an extended period of time it's when sakura has already giving birth to sarada and he's helping raise her until she's juuuust old enough to start retaining memories before he fucks off again.

he doesn't want to be around sarada and sakura. he doesn't want them to worry about him or concern themselves with him. he doesn't want to be affectionate with sakura, who clearly DOES want to be affectionate with him. he considers the fact that he and sakura had a kid together to be the thing that most connects them, which is only significant in this case because anyone with eyes can tell that they are not really connected in basically any other way. it's like the ring he gives her in that dino arc. clearly since you wear a ring now to show we're married it means that we're married even though i'm not doing any of the other things a husband should do, but this ring makes up for that. clearly since we have a kid our hearts are connected and we really do love each other, even though i'm not doing any of the other things someone who really loves you would do. you could argue that his refusal to make any contact with sarada and sakura IS out of love, that he's afraid of hurting them and thinks he's protecting them by staying out of their lives (this is most likely what kishimoto intends), but this claim doesn't have any actual PRECEDENT outside of the fact that i'm being told that sasuke apparently loves her, the evidence for that being well they got married and had a kid. off screen.

i think he feels guilty that sarada even exists, because it's his fault she has no dad and it's his fault she inherited the uchiha's massive capacity for grief and love, it's his fault that sakura is raising her alone, and he's running from this because hopefully he can make up for it by doing good for the whole world since he cannot bring himself to make up for it by being there for his wife and daughter. "she has sakura, she'll be fine" because sakura is more her parent than he will ever/could ever be. he doesnt HATE sakura or sarada, to be very clear. he cares about them both as people, he fully respects sakura's strength, is proud when he sees sarada fighting well, he wants her to be happy and wants her to like him, he wishes he could be a better father and husband to her and sakura. just without having to be their father and husband.

boruto is not good unfortunately but due to the fact that naruto IS good and sasuke's characterization is very lovingly done in the original series it's critical to me (because i am not normal) that i figure out how to connect pieces that kishimoto could not be assed to properly connect. he seems to RECOGNIZE that he's betraying sasuke's characterization by making him have a kid w sakura due to the fact that everything sasuke does after that is p much exactly what i would expect him to do if, through some freak incident, he ended up having a kid with sakura. Anywho
