Since you like Joel/Joonas/Aleksi, do you think you'll ever do more with your soulmate AU? There is a lot of angst that could be explored with Aleksi's family and trauma.

I would love to honestly, it's just that I haven't gotten an idea what to do with them. There has been nothing I thought would be worth writing out.

And with his family, I know his mum was there for a few seconds, but there was a reason I didn’t explore that plot point further because I thought bringing back his family would be unecessary drama which I don’t like and I wouldn’t know how to go about this exactly.

Like does his mum really just wants to reconnect, is she still in her religious cult thing, does she want to apologize and if so would Aleksi want that, how would he react? About his father I didn’t think about at all yet. (But to be honest I’m shit writing fathers🙃)

And the whole trauma thing is difficult because I don’t know a whole lot about it and how it affects you in your daily life, so I would be apprehensive to dive too deep into this topic. Like I wouldn’t write a short story about Aleksi in school where he had to deal a lot with it is what I mean.

But! Sure, yeah, I’m open for ideas or if anyone wants to see something specifically I would think about it. I definitely think of the three from time to time😊

It's very possible that the only way to ensure you don't become a conservative old person is to keep checking whether you're wrong. Every time. Genuinely mull over the opposing viewpoint even and especially when it's uncomfortable. You absolutely cannot a) consider yourself safely incapable of terrible principles because you're a good person, or b) treat a your disgust reaction to something as a moral truth. You can't get comfortable. Tiring! But you'd rather be tired and choose the right path, you know?
