Hello, 911, I have an emergency. I have characters.

First of all… remember my Dangan-FuckThis project? Well after taking time working on my art and writing, I’m a bit more confident in accomplishing what I set out to do! So yes, I’m finally getting to it, Months later!

Second, I’m going to take the plunge and start posting more on here than I have been! A lot of my characters have received updates and whatnot, so…

good question: the answer is i know as much as you do. i just got the vague inspo for a scene and things spiraled from there.

maybe heather never died, maybe she got revived as one of the supernatural beings in question, maybe it's something else entirely.

but i am thinking that, yes, lindsay was innocent in the murder(?) itself and is trying to cover it up so that noah doesn't investigate and get into more bs before he's stuck in a life he's unhappy with just like she did (possibly also through heather herself?). it's not very successful.

there's also that lindsay being lindsay almost inherently makes their society very difficult for her to navigate and it upsets her while it's much easier for noah which guarantees he won't have as bad of a time as her though it won't necessarily be good.

dave is also basically the only pahkitew to be against investigating at first because he does not want more people to get murdered. he changes his mind after things (?) get Real though.

dawn is the one revenger who isn't on the sports admin council because girl is way too powerful for this kind of thing. the others probably get dragged into it by something investigation-related happening in a "technically within their jurisdiction" way. - lindsanon

I'm not gonna lie to you Lindsanon, I wasn't even aware that the supernatural stuff was part of the same Pahkitew Theatre Kids AU.

It does open up some interesting potential character dynamics though- you could have literally anyone from PI teaming up with Lindsay's investigation team as an excuse to explore how their characters would interact! Cross-gen AUs are fairly rare (outside of All-stars related stuff), so having the PI cast interact with gens 1 & 2 isn't something I've ever really seen.

i’m a survivor too, and i found that certain scenes/stuff will said just really struck me as ‘csa-survivor’-like? i felt a bit uncomfortable about headcanoning it happening to someone else, especially for a fandom as wild as this one, but your metas have really been a comfort to me because they’ve been able to pick out and explain things that i couldn’t necessarily find the words for myself.

and yeah, i would love to have a character like me that is powerful and who finds love and who gets a happy ending. the people who call the theory disgusting always kinda hit wrong with me because although csa is a difficult subject, we shouldn’t be ashamed about sharing it. they sound like they’re trying to say that it’s a bad topic to talk about and implying that it can’t happen to kids, which uhhhhh-

(i’m sure that’s not what they mean, precisely, but it’s still what they sound like, and i wish that they would stop implying that we can’t exist, especially in popular media. we do, and i’m not gonna pretend we don’t, and if they feel uncomfortable with the topic they can just use the block button. we deserve to have some well written representation just as much as anyone else. also, i really really hope that will gets a happy ending.)

SORRY, this ask took so long to respond to. It always warms my heart to hear other survivors speak and say they found comfort in my theory.

Yes, I think I and a lot of c*a/r*pe victims (subconscious or otherwise) were triggered by some of the symbolism/visuals in s1-3. And s3 made it hard for most of us to ignore the past imagery- since s3 wasn’t as subtle.

I get why people have reservations about the theory. But the debates to the contrary are usually just plain offensive. Or people trying to be respectful but being the opposite. There’s the obvious bad-apples . I got many anons after part 1 of my DID theory saying it “ruined/tainted byler”, and “if that happened to Will i’ll stop shipping byler” , or that it “ruins the best gay character” , and to “remove the post immediately”. And this was when I was open about being a gay c*a victim. I obviously blocked them. Many survivors don’t come forward because they’re afraid people will see them as “tainted”, “ruined”, “ just their trauma”, or blame them for what happened. So yeah, it pisses me off when people say similar stuff about Will (and thus other c*a victims). Not even diving into the messed up psychology about byler/mileven shippers (knowing i was a lesbian c*a victim) but purposely spreading bs rumors about me being a p*do that was into Will/Noah-all because of the theory. -_-

Then there’s the people who try to be “respectful” but literally do the opposite.

I’ve heard numerous times it’s somehow “less offensive” to just use r*pe imagery to make monsters scary. Rather than have the monsters have that imagery cause Will created the monsters from his memory/imagination-and st is a story of Will healing from that trauma. SORRY- I disagree. Using the worst experiences of peoples’ lives (and triggering their trauma) for no real purpose- except to make their monsters scarier to the normal/general audience who haven’t gone through it so won’t be triggered like us - is MORE OFFENSIVE to victims! NOT LESS! At least to me.

Then there’s the people who say “c*a should never be talked about (in stories).” Which I disagree with. V*ctims have already been told by ab*ser’s and enablers of the ab*ser- to never talk about what happened to us . So it rubs A LOT of us the wrong way when people say this. Because (subconscious or not) you remind some of us of the people who used to hurt/silence us. People say this -simply for their convenience (like ab*sers) and cause deep down they’re uncomfortable with our existence and equate the despicable act to us the innocent v*ctim ...or just want to deny the horrible reality of the situation (like many enablers who deny the truth and hurt us because they don’t want to accept reality) . And 1) It brings us back to a time where they told us to NEVER talk about it- and makes us feel like we did something wrong when we didn’t! 2) Every psych professional says with-holding/keeping the ab*se a secret is detrimental to our mental health.

Plus, there’s a HUGE difference between sugarcoating/minimizing trauma or WORSE glamorizing, condoning, or romanticizing C*A in stories (ex: pretty little liars) VS showing how the action is wrong, causes trauma, but showing recovery and happiness is still possible for v*ctims. if the story shows how accurately traumatizing it is (instead of minimizing/glamorizing it)- it’s incredibly rare for that character to get a happy ending. Having a story about recovering from that type of trauma and finding happiness despite such hardships would be amazing for US survivors! We rarely get stories with a happy ending- it’s more harmful to us survivors to never see ourselves get happy endings in tv/film/books. How can some survivors (in a dark place) think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel- if it’s never shown?Also if Will has DID too- it’s good mental health rep, along with queer rep (and survivor’s rep.) All 3 groups rarely are treated well or get happy endings in media. A lot of people may feel more heard, seen, and a bit more hopeful for the future - If Will (and other characters) get a happy ending.

And even though st has many themes- like say homophobia. To try and hand-wave all the disturbing r*pe imagery away as ‘Will is just gay so the monsters are like that”. IS SOOOOOO offensive. Trigger warning for examples. I’m sorry what part of Max saying when Billy had c*nsensual s*x it’s “good screams” but when possessed by the mf he causes Heather to do “bad screams” read as gay???! Having the possessed ch*ke/dr*g people before throwing them in trunks (like it’s implied Lonnie did to Will -since Jonathan checked Lonnie’s trunk for Will in s1)?Tying their arms and legs up/ g*ging them and getting on top of them and saying “stay VERY still it’ll all be over soon”-before a monster shoves it’s tentacle into someone’s mouth and inserts a goo - just gay??? Similar to the sentient vine/shadow monster forcing itself down Will’s throat. Let alone Will saying things like “he made me do it”, “i felt it everywhere”, or being tied to a bed and screaming “help! stop! it hurts! let me go!” While Jonathan is the only one who’s visibly triggered by this and has to literally turn away and hug someone . Or barb, billy, and El spiting up a white liquid from their mouth (similar to will spitting up a slug and lying to his mother about it ).El/billy touching a suspicious looking slime with their hand and looking at the substance confused . El drawing Papa with 3 legs (the middle one being shorter) , trying to undress in front of the boys , and Benny saying “I think she’s been ab*sed or something”.The theme of ab*sive dads- brenner , Lonnie, and Neil . Even when the demogorgan (called in d&d the “deep father”/ in the show “a man without a face”) attacked Barb it’s chopped up with scenes of Nancy having c*nsensual sex (the monsters are doing the opposite symbolically). There’s way more examples but NO- to try and hand wave /equate ALL OF THIS to just “gay imagery” or an “a*ds metaphor” is WAY more problematic. And just offensive (specifically to gay people) than just admitting what it may actually represent. R*pe imagery and gay imagery is NOT THE SAME THING!

Also ST has never been a kid show- maybe rewatch the show and see the rating of tv-14 . Goodness sake- s1 has a st*ged su*icde, k*dnappings, m*rder, discussions of physics, h*mophobia, and s*x (with stancy in s1 & jancy in s2-s3). S2/3 discuss at their finalies recovering from tra*ma . S2 had gra*ic de*ths, a man causing a women br*in damage/ and faking her m*scarriage, and a gang of vigalantes k*lling criminals. s3 had critiques on capitalism /media/s*xism, many d*eaths, and questionable imagery like the prior seasons. The Duffers constantly reference movies & events from the 80s (capitalizing on 80s nostalgia /subverting 80s motifs that middle age people from that time remember)! Those people were their intended age demographic . Most 80s centric refs go over most kids’ heads (heck a lot went over my head too since I wasn’t alive in the 80s XD).The Duffers even said in the book “worlds turned upsidedown” “it’s not a kid’s show despite having kids”. And maybe it’s a coincidence but when Lucas in s3 hands Will the “devil’s baby” firework (a hint about Lonnie) he says “18 and over only.” Which idk is a weird/random af line unless it’s foreshadowing that the show will get darker about various themes- and maybe even change ratings.

I get people wishing nothing bad ever happened to Will or Jonathan. And being apprehensive and not trusting the Duffers to do such a story justice (cause it’s difficult to do). But personally i trust them to do so tastefully with tact and not be exp*itative, (overly gr*fic) or offensive to v*ctims. You can disagree and think the show is about something else (or not trust the Duffers)- but it’d be great if people could stop using these other messed up talking points. While trying to appear ‘(fake) woke’ and like they care for victims- cause we see through it that you really don’t.

(Puts on tinfoil hat) It’s a conspiracy to hide all the ILITW/ILB content. Prepare for more Li’s with the names Tom, Stacey, Parker, Andy etc..

I’m honestly upset because Noah was never an actual LI so content was already not the easiest to come by, plus the tag was also used by LItG players, though it could still be counted on to be primarily Noah Marshall and even though my MC’s gonna romance Noah Harris because I’m already going 👀, I’m probably gonna end up unfollowing the Noah x MC tag because it’s not the Noah I want to see all that content for.

I would be seriously annoyed if they started pulling that bs with all the other LIs. I mean seriously, how difficult is it to come up with different names? If they named the Harris kid Noah because they don’t actually have an LI named that (even though Noah Marshall still has a sizable fan base for a non-LI), what’s the excuse for Ava, an actual LI? There isn’t one. It’s gonna get so confusing browsing through the tags to find the right content now, because most people just tag “[first name] x MC” instead of “[first name last name] x MC”. I mean, I alternate between using those two ways, but it’s not how people generally tag, so no matter what, people who like the ILitW characters will miss out on already limited content.

And I swear, the day they name another LI Andy, I will throw hands, so PB better keep my man’s name out of their mouths

my most hated character: honda and otogi really get on my nerves by now, yami marik used to annoy me, too, and i’m sure he still would, i also hate seto esp in filler arcs and in fandom

my OTP: YAMI/SETO kyaaa, Yugi/Jou/Anzu, Ati/Mahado(/Seth), Noah/Mokuba/Seto, BEWD/Seto,...

my NOTP: seto/yugi. i can’t stand the underlying shipping dynamic and reasoning behind this ship, and on its own, it just has zero appeal to me. also jou/seto (and yami/yugi) as depicted by fandom

favorite episode: oh boy, uh, i used to like yami and seto’s duel on pegasus’ castle because they are both trash and extra, and esp in the manga the battle city part where seto gets all jelly and yami and seto tag team duel was really funny? the very gay yugi/jou duel is good too

(2/2) person. Like you said, she can be kind, but this place is (conservatively) 90% completely negative on her, which doesn't really give a reader a full picture of who she really is. The fact is, there's plenty of nice stories about her, and not just because she wants something, like that anon said. I was not denying the existence of bad stories, I was saying that the idea of her only being nice for that reason is not based on a fair view of her.

I take it that you’re fairly new here on the blog and, as someone who I assume has read largely praise about Emma, it might seem that we’re just sprouting out bs. But there are countless of stories of her being rude to people. Also on set.

The anon knows that there are instances where she’s been rude to extras and PA’s on the sets she’s worked on and that’s what they were talking about when they said that she would act nice in front of big name actors.

I’ll give a few examples here. More stories about her can be found in my Diva tag.

Starting with HP, there are many stories of her yelling at extras or just plain ignoring them. They can all be found in the tag I mentioned above, but I’ll add one here. The actress who played Dobby had some things to say about her. X

I remember a story from the set of Noah where she only acted nice when Aronofsky was around, but can’t find it. I’ll keep looking for it though. So instead I’ll add one where she was rude during the afterparty. It was written by a journalist. X

And then there are the infamous (on this blog) demands she made while filming Colonia. X X

There’s also this tweet of how Emma yelled at someone on the set of BatB X

I read one from the Little Women set as well. I’ll look for it and add it here.

So the anon isn’t just assuming things. She has been known to be a pain to extras and other that she might not deem “important enough”. And she would never behave this way with people like Streep or Dern.

And please don’t try to convince me that she has magically changed her behavior and now doesn’t treat people like this now and again.

Chicago Med Wishes for Season 3

Tonight is the finale! I am so stoked/pumped and probably won’t look in the tag until after I’ve posted and even then I’ll probably collapse it under a “keep reading” link to keep people from being spoiled until at least a week has passed but with that being said and out of the way I’m also going to point out that I’m super excited about the renewal of season 3!! But I think we all (Medheads) can agree there is some stuff we want to see….or maybe just me but sound off if you agree or disagree.

1. I want to know where Connor’s mothers’ family is, I want them to show up, an uncle, a brother, a grandfather SOMEONE and stir the pot about what ACTUALLY happened to his mom and better yet WHY Connor has been so suspicious of his father. (More Claire, more character development, more healing there por favor).

2. Ditto for Will, I want to see his mother’s side, maybe an aunt that slept with his dad and Jay found out and that’s one of the reasons he hates his dad….I want drama. (I also want Nina to make a crazy exit that does some shit to Natalie, like going after her medical license for the old man that died…). I would also like to see where the hell Will is going to be living at because it’s obvious they are done.

(I want these two instances or something similar to FINALLY bring Connor and Will together as at least friends….and speaking of friends I want a blow-up between Natalie and April after someone calls Nat an “Ice Princess” again, one where April calls her out on how her and Maggie were being supportive of her when she was pregnant (putting together her crib/being her midwife) and Natalie didn’t give so much as a pat on the back to April after she had her miscarriage.)

3. Is Natalie not going to be offered an attending position?(Maybe she isn’t and we are introduced to another hospital or she takes some time off and we actually get to see her being a mother and having her mother come into town and entice her into leaving and maybe that’s how that loathsome Manste#d finally happens. (shrug).

4. Sarah goes out with Noah on one date and figures out that he ain’t shit…goodbye Wreckston/Wrexton.

5. April and Ethan decide to be friends but flirt all next season and finally get together at the mid-season finale….in other words write this thing properly.

6. NO MORE questioning patient’s death/life directives. This story has been done to death and the horse is starting to stink; it’s a killer for character development and overall plot.

7. Instead….How about an Angel of Death? I’m ready to meet a recurring character that’s a nurse or a doctor, it’s someone we grow to ACTUALLY love like Latham (not Wheeler) and then we find out that this person is running around the hospital killing patients(out of mercy)…it turns into a nightmare for Goodwin. Maybe one of the characters suspects and NO one gives any validity to their concern until it’s too late.

8. More Abrams and Stohl…I like them both especially Abrams he’s so icy and I love it. Also Stohl can be the voice of reason when they all inevitably start that BS of questioning patient’s wishes.

9. Episodes that balance what happens in the ED with those that aren’t at work so we get more character development.

10. It’s time to meet Sarah’s mom and it’s time for Sarah to have a social life that we SEE along with an apartment. Currently Natalie, Sarah, Maggie and soon Will are all sharing a card board box in my mind because they won’t give them a home…please Med give them a home.

11. I want to meet Ethan’s family. I’m serious. Can that happen in a dinner episode where we have a meet the family when the Afro-Brazilians meet the Koreans/Japanese? Chinese?…(the show won’t make up their mind with him). I need this…for science… and potential fanfic reasons…..

12. More April, More Maggie, More Sharon, More Sarah! Dios mio por favor! I want transplant patients we grow to love and when they don’t make it the doctors that worked with each other on them won’t speak to each other for weeks! I want STEM cell issues and pro-life clashes, foster care/runaway teens with ALL kinds of problems. Misdiagnosed patients that believed they had mental illnesses but actually had something physical, dead folk in the waiting room that everyone thought would be okay to wait a bit longer! I want a REAL outbreak in the hospital that forces folks to talk to each other and come clean while their stuck at work. I want mistakes in the lab, switched babies, and weird twin shit. ….If Dr. Charles gets shot I want a parade of ex-wives while he’s under and flashbacks/snippets of his marriages with them and the reasons for their divorces. I want to meet Sharon’s kids, one needs a kidney, she’s not a match but Burt is and is nowhere to be found. I want Christmas parties with awkward hook-ups, serial killers that strike on Halloween and then end up in the ED that they treat and then LET GO as some PD folks are running in too late to make the arrest, then the same killer shows up later and takes off with one of our characters in the mid-season finale…. ya’ll I want DRAMA!!!!

i wrote a novel once. six times. it was about a group of teens with psychic powers who had to save the world. it was 100% self-insert bs and the main characters were based on people i knew. it was awful but that was my biggest project and i’m ultimately glad i wrote it. hmu if u wanna read the first draft it’s gr8

sorry this is boring but i also wrote a novel my senior year of high school for nanowrimo about a cyborg and her team who were imprisoned and they... had to save the world, too, i think. i’ve gotten slightly better (and smaller... more narrow... thank god) with plots

my senior year of high school i slept an average of four hours every night. idk how the fuck i did that.

once i tried to donate blood but my iron was too low and the lady was like “well we can try again” so i said sure and then she pricked my finger and i passed out.

i have an eevee plushie i take everywhere i sleep and i’ve had her since the second grade. in third grade, i cut off her neck fur during class and the kid next to me (his name was janson) asked what i was doing and my response was something like “don’t worry; it’ll grow back” -______-
