Before I learned about the rule of avoiding Wind in the shippy stuff, my inner eight year old (who was going through a pirate phase) wrote this:
She got stuffed in a barrel. When she was discovered, the captain began to yell at the culprit. "You stole their bride?!" "My bride now. " Wind rested his arm on the lip of the barrel, smiling when his 'captive' nodded furiously. Tetra looked like she was going to get a headache from sheer fury. Reader slowly sinks into the barrel the longer the stare burned into the pair. Wind was apparently immune to it, stubborn determination shining in his eyes. "We. Cannot go back to that island. Ever."
Like the plot was some arranged marriage and while Reader was moping about it and found some nice pirate crew member willing to listen to her sorrows the night before the wedding, and these two somehow steered the conversation into a mutually agreed scheme of smuggling her out of the island in secret.
Tetra is just pissed that one of the ports that they usually go to for supplies might become hostile to their ship. But not outwardly, when they have the Pirate Queen and the Wind Waker on deck.
Oh my goodness, I love that. XD
That definitely something that younger me would have read.
Would be willing to share more? I didn't realize how invested I would get into that plot. That's a perfect snippet to chose. I'm intrigued and what to know more.

Phantom Kitten
It all started as the GIW got more brutal in Amity Park. And Jazz wanted to make sure Danny was saved; the test showed just Danny was contaminated by it, not her, his friends, or her parents. So while he talked with her Jazz, to make sure he was saved, she pushed him into the Ghost Zone, into a door, to a different place, timeline, or universe. It didn't matter much, she would find him after all is done with the Booomarang. She should at least talk to him first! Danny woke up. He was de-aged as a toddler in a place called Gotham City. He used his powers to steal small items around the city. What! He had no money for food. To cover up his identity, he took the mask he found with Cat Ears and now calls himself "Kitten". Having Ghost Powers is cheating when you escape.
That was how he met the hero Batman, and Danny was fascinated by the gadgets. So he slowly started to steal his gadgets. The first time Batman met the toddler thief was when Danny tried to steal his Batmobile. Yes, the whole Batmobile. Batman, let the toddler play with it and have a head start... He didn't think that "Kitten" would be able to really steal his car. Danny made Catwoman and Batman determined to catch "Kitten" as they underestimated the adorable ghost's abilities. Catwoman Selina Kyle. Well, he is an adorable kitten, and he goes around as a cat already! And he stole her targets not once not twice but 10 times!!
A/N The Batman who lost the Batmobile can be Dick while Bruce was busy in the JL. Kind of want to see Dick trying to explain how he lost the Batmobile.

While we're on the topic of De-aging AU's I wanna talk about Jason and Damian if Jason was 14 again real quick.
Do you guys think that Damian looks at this version of Jason, so different from the version he knows, nothing like the person he was told Jason was, and feels uncomfortably seen?
Damian was always told that Jason died because he was reckless, because he disobeyed orders, he was fired as Robin and he got himself killed. A cautionary tale, not a threat to his position. He dismisses Jason because Bruce does, because Dick does, because sometimes even Babs and Alfred do.
That's not the kid that he's looking at now. This Jason is happy, and smart, and full of love that has not yet soured into grief. He hangs on Bruce's every word, trains until his hands bleed and his body gives out to perfect the moves Bruce teaches him. He looks at Bruce with stars in his eyes and he calls him dad.
And Damian can't help but think, that this is the perfect Robin. The perfect son. And if Jason - sweet, loving, strong, Jason - can be fired, can die and have his room locked away and his pictures torn down, can have his last memory as Robin be as A Good Soldier, how could the rest of them ever compete? What could Damian do to stand a chance?
Jason will never grow out of the shadow of Robin, like the rest of them did. As long as Bruce, and Dick, and Babs, and Alfred look at him and see a dead kid who came back wrong, he will never get to be anything else. He will not get to be looked at through who he is now without the shadow of a dead boy looming over him.
And the worst part? Jason is exactly the same person he was back then. Bitter, sure, angry, justifiably, but he is still the boy with too much love in his heart and righteous fury festering in his gut. He is exactly the same boy who threw himself in front of an explosion to save his mother.
(The lines between the mother that betrayed him and the father that disgraced him are so very blurred. Fire or blade or crowbars or fists it does not matter. It ends the same way it always does because Jason Todd always dies, in every universe, in every timeline, Jason dies and crawls out only to be killed again and again and again.)

Head empty only Malleus realizing that the difference in physical aging between fae and humans makes you insecure so he offers to cast a glamour spell but instead of making you look younger, Malleus makes himself look older like you two are actually growing old together.

[ID: Digital Art of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. Vash’s body is turned slightly away from the viewer as he holds a staggering Wolfwood by his shoulder. He has one foot ahead of the other, the foot in the back used to stabilize himself from tipping over. Wolfwood is tethering into Vash, his weight pressed into him with his arms wrapped around Vash’s waist and his face is hidden away as he leans against Vash’s shoulder. Vash’s expression can be seen, his eyes wide and mouth tight-lipped, and his face is flushed red. A speech bubble comes out from Wolfwood, saying a drawled “Spikeyyy...”. The background are desaturated pastels of blue and green, showing night time, as they stand in the middle of an empty street that is also lit by the moon not depicted. Yellow light is seen coming from the inside of a saloon. End ID]

Noir is the type to poetically monologue about a man from his youth that "had he been a dame, we would have been lovers" with such dramatic intensity you'd think he was talking about the love of his life
But then if someone asked Noir anything suggesting that he's attracted to men, he'd dismiss it like "Now don't get me wrong, that crowd is fine by me, but I'm not a homosexual. I like dames too much, haha."
And it drives the modern spider kids fucking CRAZY. They want to shake him and scream "BISEXUAL!!!" so bad but oh god he's wearing headphones, he can't hear them, oh my god 😨
