Doordash AU

I can't believe i"m still on this damn au it's so silly lmao.

ALRIGHT SO, this one started from a single post showing someones DD Driver was named Sunny. And then it spiraled wildly out of control into something with FEELINGS and PLOT.

Casual Info/Synopsis this time cause idk how to shorten it~

YN is a stay at home artist. They've been a stay at home artist for years, and the longer they've done it, the more reclusive they've become. They don't make a crazy amount, but they can pay the bills on their small one-bed apartment with a combo livingroom/kitchen area. It's not much, but it's enough for them. Social anxiety has only gotten worse over the last few years and aside from the occasional last resort trip out to the store to get something they can't wait on, they do most of their grocery shopping online, and when they're feeling like a little self care, ordering delivery, as a treat. They frequent the same 3 or 4 restaurants, loosely the same times during the week, and it's become enough of a habit they recognize a couple of the dashers that bring them food.

One day there's a new name, Sunny, and when they arrive with their food, YN is, well, shocked. Animatronics/robots are not unheard of, but they're incredibly uncommon, and to have one just. Delivering food like this? It's super weird, but also kind of cool, but also kind of terrifying. And he's so cheerful. YNs shock is taken as an invitation to talk their ear off, and it's not until they get another delivery order that YN can get away, nearly 20 minutes later.

It's a whirlwind experience where they barely got a word in edgewise after it came out they drew for a living, a little bit of this bot's life story rambling out about how he used to work in a daycare with kids and his own love of arts and crafts. haha, yeah... Cool... But it was nice still, in a weird way. It's been a long time since they'd had any kind of extended conversation with another person, IN person.

The next time they meet is a few weeks later, and YN recognizes the driver right away, both excited and nervous. When he gets out of the car, awkward and gangly and way too tall for it, he's bouncing just as much as they feel inside. Their food is almost totally forgotten as YN gets picked up in a hug before he catches himself, old habits die hard, and the first little nickname drop happens. The talking goes on and on, though more two sided this time now that the shock and awe of first meeting has waved off a bit. He's still damn tall and so crazy animated, how'd he end up doing this instead of taking care of kids like he'd mentioned before. though this time it's all about YNs job, and how that works. he's fascinated and full of questions, the first hints of looking into other avenues of gaining income (why does he need income?) dropped.

Another delivery order comes in and he wilts, visibly, and the casual idea of him coming back end of his run is toed into existence, but YN waves it off... That could be awkward. But now they know what his usual schedule is.

The next time he arrives is deliberate. YN has been ordering food from the same restaurant at the same time for a few days in a row. They're getting tired of it, but when Sunny's name pops up again, they're ready. This should be his last delivery of the night, so when he shows up, a little more reserved after the denied hang out last time, he absolutely shines when YN invites them in to hang out for a while.

The two talk about everything and nothing, but as the sun starts to set, Sun himself has to excuse himself to go home. Something about driving in the dark not being too safe, and he goes.

This continues, YN ordering food near his end of shift so he can come by and visit, and slowly we learn about his situation. The plex is gone, burned down, and the animatronics that could be salvaged were sent to other locations. HE however, had been scrapped. Too damaged, not worth the repair. The timeline is hazy, but someone put him back together to a more working order (he wasn't THAT broken, but for fazbear's care, he was broken enough) and now that he's active again, his 'savior' has him working to earn his own keep to cover the electric cost to keep him running.

YN is sus of this right away. With as much as it seems like they have Sun working, the numbers don't add up. Especially as he explains how there's a dual battery system that swaps out to recharge one while the other runs. Like taking an internal nap. Theoretically, with a system like that he wouldn't need the extra electrical charge, the way a car battery can go years before needing to be swapped out... And swapping out a battery like that, depending on how it's made, shouldn't cost THIS much to power. But it's handwaved for a while as the two get closer.

There's time where we have the first moon scare, but he's relatively calm, there's a power out one of the times Sun stays for a lights-on sleepover, YN working on a commission when the power goes out and they lose connection. At this point YN just thinks Sun is afraid of the dark, because kids and stuff, and the topic of Moon has been... skirted around. Mutually. Moon isn't ready to test if this human is going to be weirded out by there being two of them, let alone that the second one is HIM. They're a fascinating human though, so he'll allow this friendship for now, and just ride shotgun. Until he's forced into the pilot seat.

something something, YN knows now. Sort of. But no explanation. "Time for bed." Is initiated and YN is disturbed but also compliant because who's gonna argue with the definitely not sun 7 foot tall robot with glowing red eyes? Not them, that's for sure. DEBATING A JOKING 'No good night kiss?' nervous laugh moment that does indeed get a good night kiss, or just leave it ominous. Relevant later.

BUT Sun avoids talking about what happened that night. YN wakes up and they're gone and it takes a bit to get Sun to show up again, and he's once again hesitant and sheepish, but there's no harm done. He still isn't ready to talk about it. APPARENTLY his hang out time isn't something his 'savior' is too appreciative of though. And YN is getting mad about this for them. Cause they don't quite understand how much they're getting taken advantage of. They know something is off, but they don't quite have the scope of it down.

Operation Steal Sunny initiated.

Which... Honestly just consists of YN going back to this dudes house with them to drop off the car and anxiously navigate the bus system until it gets a little too confusing and just break down and call an Uber instead. Sun is very anxious about this. For Moon reasons. For 'I'm property' reasons. For how will i afford power reasons. For a lot of other reasons too.

He doesn't want to turn the lights out. Cause Moon is PISSED. He was content to just do what they were doing cause that human wasn't getting rid of them. There's no guarantee YN won't, especially once they have to deal with Moon on the regular too. Spoiler, he's so used to acting out for the sake of getting a rise out of people he's not used to just... being chill cause he CAN be chill anymore, so gremlin mode will dial down slowly.

BUT he has to test limits. Push buttons. He doesn't really want to hurt YN cause they have genuinely been nice and he wants to think they're being sincere in their attempt to help them, but there's always that grain of salt. They thought the other human was trying to help them but they were just getting used for free income. What's to say this 'starving artist' won't do the same? So he does the chase song and dance, the threats, minor injuries to see if it'd be enough to scare YN into showing true colors... And they ARE scared, but they also know Sun at this point. Even if Moon is gonna be shitty, and they say as much, Sun is their friend, and they aren't gonna let him go back. Even if it means putting up with Moon.

WHICH HURTS, but in a way that warms his heart sorta. Like.. OK OW? But also deserved. He's not done poking the bear, though, but again, bit by bit he goes from full gremlin mode to spikey roommate to soft nap lord. With gremlin habits still. He wouldn't be moon if he wasn't a pest sometimes.

The GOOD thing about some of this, is Sun has no GPS on him. The phone he used was left behind (thinking about that at least) and aside from the deliveries he completed, there's no real track for the other dude to figure out where he is, so it's a pretty casual domestic life for a while.

Sun and Moon both are still anxious they aren't pulling their weight while YN is struggling a bit more to make bills happen, shorting food to make sure the electric gets paid as the bill does go up a good bit, but they're making it work sorta.

The topic comes up again about working with kids, and they start to keep an eye on job openings for babysitting, and maybe dog walking but dogs are definitely not children, and asking around at a couple different local, small daycares, that might end up with job openings.

The tentative babysitting goes well at first, but finding a family or two that'll stick, because creepy animatronic, is harder. The kids love it, mostly, but the parents are weirded out. One or two recognize Sun's design as the old fazbear model, and they seem interested, and it's something at least. Eventually down the line, there IS an opening at a daycare and thus starts late-game plot.

The dude finds out. An animatronic working at a daycare narrows it down PRETTY HARD. That's his property, and his money. He wants them back. Sun is opposed and there is no longer any programming that states he has to listen to him just because he has receipts.

FAZBEAR finds out, and along with the fact that Sun still looks like Superstar Daycare Sun that's IP theft, also their software/patent info walking around that should be in a scrap heap. THEY want him back, but mostly to scrap him properly.

I don’t know if you think they’ve been together in the past/never together or just don’t care about it cause scrolling through Tumblr is a nightmare and I can’t see all your posts obviously ahaha but personally I thought they were together and I think they might have broken up in the last year or so. I got a strong sixth sense in general if you could call it that and lately I can sense something is different and I can see some people feel the same but don’t really discuss it openly so I wanted to hear your opinion.

The last thing that made me ‘sure’ they were still a thing while looking at the previous 12 years was harryween with hopelessly devoted to you and then Louis quoting it at his grease fav. After that I can’t really see something that makes me think “at that point they must have been together cause otherwise it wouldn’t make sense”. And paired it up with louis in particular being a bit strange in the last few months and with what you pointed out as well namely Harry doing everything he can to not be even thought to be on tour with L… As I said I don’t know when you started talking about a break up, but do you think that halloween’s occurance was still them being together or teasing each other from a distance or maybe just keeping larries at bay? And would you mind telling me then when you think their situation changed and what you think now? Sorry it’s so longggg and thank you if you take time to answer me <3

Helllllllo, I never mind any kind of ask! Granted, sometimes I might not answer but only because I'm overwhelmed, or it's the same ask in a row, or I'm not loving a sentence, or I just don't feel like it, or I think a bathroom shot is more appropriate, lmao, but this one? I got all the time in the world for you…so much so that I'll put it under the cut, since the ask is long enough itself, as shall the answer be!

Welcome to this mess, and wow, I'm so bowled over you even tried to scroll, I know trying to search tumblr.biz is a loser's lover's game, even for the loser lover who wrote it, so I won't even bother, but we can start fresh!

So my thoughts: Hell yeah, I think these two were together back in the day, probably almost immediately (see: the entire x-factor scandale with the blinds about all the fucking, the stairs interviews, ALL OF IT, screammmm). I don't know how long or even IF they were strictly monogamous, they were in a pressure cooker situation of near-constant contact with each other for five years, but I do think it eventually morphed into something open and/or then into a messy on again/off again situationship. That’s my current stance today, in fact—c'est messy!!!!

I’ll do the usual caveat that none of us actually KNOWS them, though, or what went down, we're only looking at what we see (and hear) and making a wild guess, and yet! Plenty of people see (and hear) the same thing and opt for a crazy reach with their whole chest, all to justify something happening between teenagers 13 years ago as if NOTHING would or could have changed since then. And some of those reaches make literally no sense, or they wash away anything that gets too close to that third rail of cognitive dissonance, the proverbial fingers in ears, lalalalala. I saw it recently on a post I made about clingy Harry with a stranger on the drunk WeHo trolley, with someone in the tags going, wait, I’ve never seen this! Of course you haven’t, that’s what an echo chamber does, bb!

Personally, I don't get that mindset—what’s so wrong about learning life is tough and things change for two literal strangers? Sure, we all love love and want the best for them, but shit happens in real life, too. Maybe it's easier to latch onto made-up receipts or straight up call a blue a green, but I think a big aspect of it is also the need to be right, to show you aren’t crazy, it’s real, and that gets frequently mixed in as being “supportive,” like you're some kind of homophobe if these two break up, as if two men fucking two other men somehow isn't worthy of your “support." But I’m here to say those two things actually can exist, something can be true in the past and not be true today, and it doesn’t negate the past bit, shocking, right?

Anyway, I digress. I feel like your sixth sense is on the money, and I'd love to hear more about it, either message me here or dm me about what tips you into that direction (hey!) because I feel like there is SO MUCH THAT DOES, yet few people really get into it. To me, it’s just a lot of content, so much content, the bare minimum being lyrics in multiple songs across a shit ton of albums, both solo and the very last 1D one. At this point, to me, Larry “proofs” sound insane (he wore green pants, they're MARRIED!!!!!), and part of me is like, kudos to you, Mr. Tomlinson, jesus loves you more than you will know, etc. Even that Harryween outfit of which you speak feels like a reach of a reach, a callback of a reach, mostly because it’s also not that deep, Grease isn't some tiny film nobody's seen, it's actually a remarkably easy group costume, AND it references things that could be nostalgic to two sets of people (larries and larry). I actually feel like these two at this point are either a) signaling to each other in some kinda way, like that monitor edgeplay shit they used to do (which works if you're together or apart, I might add), or b) cashing in some of that green blue green, if you feel me. And again, both of those could be true at once, they don't cancel each other out. I have two hands, I can hold a lotta thoughts!

It’s at this point where I start bangin’ the drum for garries because gaylors have it dead easy—you can be a gaylor and think that kaylor was a thing, but it doesn’t mean it’s STILL a thing to you, so whither garries!? I just don’t think a lot of today’s larries do themselves any favors by doubling down and driving out anyone who has questions. But I do feel like there’s some hope, it’s nice to see people coming around to the idea that, yeah, they WERE together and maybe they aren’t anymore, but it’s okay, it’s not the end of the world! It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, maybe they’ll reunite someday, or maybe it’s a goddamned hot mess, but you know what? Not my circus, not my monkeys! Granted, that part is harder for people who are mutuals with those who will not tolerate doubts even for a second—I just hope they venture off and find the other chill people, u know, the ones a lot of larries wish they saw on their dashes instead of hand-wringers, uh oh, oops, reaping = sowing.

I’m sorry, I’m ramblin’ here, let’s get back to your questions at the end of your ask! Do I think Harryween was them together or teasing each other or keeping larries at bay? Hmmmm, maybe a secret fourth thing: easy costume, easy global reference, and it’s not gonna keep larries at bay, lmao. Idk, man, for all we know (which, again, is literally nothing, nobody’s getting 24/7 content for 5 years straight anymore, such a bitter pill to swallow), maybe Grease is a fave movie of someone who’s in the new band, maybe Harry’s got a close personal friend who’s into it, too, maybe Louis's not the only guy in the world Harry’s dated who’s obsessed with Danny Zuko.

As for when do I think their situation changed, I think Eleanor was a big clue, breakup no. 1 was probably around their own breakup no. 1, she was an amazing proxy in so many ways, but I’m sure there were rifts and spats along the way (it even seeped into interviews that get written off as cute funsies or else are outright ignored because nobody watches beyond the gif format). I follow at least one person who talks about the '15 promo tour as giving very recent breakup energy, yet still has some fwb vibes, which means it's AWKWARD in spots, and I can see that. It would also explain why they were suddenly able to "sit together,” lol. Anyway, yes, that breakup (both times) was a big sign, I think no more peace ring was a HUGE sign, I think the writeups by Rob Sheffield (both of them, actually), especially the last paragraph of the Fine Line cover story was a NEON sign, and I think the last four albums by both of them spell it out, underline it, bold it, AND italicize it super clearly, but those are just the easy pickings (see also: Harry biking around daily to prove he’s not in Poland, Greece, etc., and the response is always, “We don’t know what day this was,” lmao).

What I think now is up above! I think it’s messy! Complicated! They aren’t #married! Now is that a forever thing? Who’s to say, and more importantly, who’s to really care on a “does this impacts my daily life in some kind of financial or spiritual way,” see further: circus, monkeys. I get that it’s easy to say, I interact with a lot of other people who don’t care and won't ostracize me for being a doubting Susan with my ~controversial thoughts and UOs. But there are those with faith in the future, so maybe it is as it was…hehe, oh me. I amuse myself, at least. General update on where I’m at art wise under the cut! And energy-to-make-art wise too I guess (some minor tw for very general discussion of like. Current events and life stuff.) I promise I’ll be back to mostly art on this blog soonish.

So, here’s what the year is looking like for me right now. I mentioned last week that I’m in the middle of a stretch of big bang art. Well, I’m really smack dab in the middle of the Star Wars big bang — I’ve got 2 or 3 pieces to do over the next three weeks, still, but I’ve already got 4 done that will be posting up across June, and I’m pretty hype to share those, and see the fics go up.

I’ve also just recently matched up with some really dope authors with some fics taking some big swings that are verrrry interesting, in dinluke and sandman bangs. I’m thinking I’ll get to do some very dope art for those.

There’s like. One more bang in 4Q I’m sort of thinking about (signed up to pinch hit only for now) and a couple zines I’m eyeing, but I’m like. Trying to be somewhat better about saying no to myself lmao. I did also have the crazy three AM thought “I should make a fan comic” but like. I know how long that takes so. Probably not lmao. I’m sort of waffling if I want to continue signing up for so many bangs, given the givens, (my heart says yes but my brain says “really?”) so if I do tone it down, maybe next year?

Oh and not art exactly, but I’ve also been working on a suite of tools for big bang moderators. I’ve made a spreadsheet that emails people for you and a spreadsheet that generates a google doc. The use cases here are sending out claim match emails and generating summary documents for claims. Next on my to do list is a spreadsheet that generates a google form, for mods who want their artists to rank every fic for claims. Once I get that done I’ll bundle them up with some advice maybe. If the ones I have complete sound like something you could use now though, let me know over DMs.

I just hope my energy comes back from the war lol. I churned out the first 3 pieces for the swbb really fast, but between a couple really difficult weeks at work, my trainee sucking the life out of me (and my weekends. I’m about to murder her), and a slew of bad news, I’m like. Man what puppy did I kick.

I wrote up my venty post yesterday and then there was a shooting like 5 minutes from my place and when I called my mom to tell her I was safe I got told my aunt had started having seizures after a head injury and was just coming off a ventilator. The hits just keep coming lol.

Despite all that the biggest drain is actually my trainee. I’ve worked two weekends in a row covering for her now. That’s my art making time.

this is my the progress i’ve got on a blanket that i started in summer 2023 so it’s been freaking MONTHS since i started it but also i keep putting it off so that’s probably why i haven’t finished it

my goal for this blanket was to have it done by winter so that i could have used it for the winter and like IF I HAD IT DONE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL it was so fucking cold ugh

but whatever i’ll definitely have it done for winter this year instead 😭

this blanket was actually my first crochet project i ever started!! the photo doesn’t show it much but the beginning rows are janky and the edges are lopsided since i was still learning the ropes of crocheting!! so i’ve been crocheting for about 7 months now which like WOW that’s so crazy to think about haha

i ended up doing other smaller projects on the side because i felt like i wasn’t learning much while sticking to this blanket, mainly since this blanket is just rows upon rows of HDC (American terms)

let me tell you guys i thought i was so creative when i started this project and i knew nothing about any of the stitches so i just did something random which turned out to be a HDC but i didn’t know that so i was like “wow i totally came up with something new!” NOPE

but i’m glad i didn’t spend a bunch of time grinding to get this blanket done because when i started trying other stitches and learning stuff like granny squares and magic rings and all that i was SO LOST i was like what the fuck is this and i almost just quit

when i started crocheting in the summer i thought it would be one of those things that i try and don’t do again for a long time and im pleasantly surprised to say that i haven’t dropped it yet! i love picking up new hobbies such as jewelry making and cross-stitching and just creative stuff in general but i only ever do it for a month and then forget about it for a while

don’t get me wrong it’s not like i drop all my other hobbies but i just don’t remember to put time into them, and for crocheting i’d leave it for like a week or two but id end up coming back to it ahah

at this point it’ll be hard to drop or forget about because of the insane amount of yarn i bought, i had to put drawers and stuff in my room to keep all of the stuff organized and not all over my floor lmao

back to the blanket, i have a 5mm crochet hook sitting at the bottom for size reference, the width is a bit longer than my height (5’5”) and in my original plan i wanted to make it double my height length wise but that is definitely NOT happening

it’s about 3’ right now and it’s already heavy and chunky when i fold it all up and i already have no room for it so i’m only going to make it long enough to cover my mattress (which is like 1’ taller than me)

the yarn i’m using is the ombré red heart super saver yarn and it feels really nice and soft! and also a 5mm hook as mentioned before

i’m gonna try and just invest all my crochet time in this blanket instead of my other projects so i can maybe use it before the cold is completely gone 😭 this is my first time posting anything about crochet stuff and i’ll definitely be posting more in the future and showing the completed blanket whenever i finish it lol but anyway!!! that’s my blanket :)

New year, new post where I humiliate myself by posting everything I played this year! And actually? I'm pretty proud of myself this year! If you look at 2022, I bought a LOT of games! A crazy amount! But this time, I actually didn't spend nearly as much this year. My purchase list is pretty short, and I actually barely bought anything during Steam Sales! I actually did not buy ANYTHING during the autumn and winter sales and I'm genuinely proud of myself!

And there you have it! Everything I bought, beat, and tried through the year! As always, I'm certain there's stuff missing that I didn't intentionally axe. I keep track of this stuff kinda closely cause I'll completely forget otherwise but even I make mistakes or play stuff that's forgettable lol.

As for next year? There's a few things I'd like to play in 2024, a couple of series I want to continue and a couple of new things to try, as well as a lot of games I wanted to play THIS YEAR but didn't get around to it! My only real gaming resolution is to play less Fortnite. I'm serious!

Looking back at my goals for 2023 I actually did get through a lot of them. Megaman, God of War, and Enchanted Arms were all games I mentioned wanting to play. And I said I wanted to play more meaty RPGs and wouldn't you know it, my top 5 old games I played this year were ALL RPGs! So I think I did a good job!

I also did a lot of emulating this year and had a GREAT time with it! I experimented with a ton of consoles and it's interesting to see how certain things work for more complicated stuff like PS3/360. It really did open up what I can play and I can't believe I just stopped doing this for a while! Glad to be back! NOW I CAN MAKE GIFS!!

That should be that for 2023! Here's to a fantastic year full of fun and video games for everyone! Let's head into 2024 blazing!

It’s not something to be particularly embarrassed about, but you don’t know what else could be getting this reaction out of him

He cranes his neck to look at you with a pout and mutters a grumpy yes

Why would you not laugh at how bizarre this is, which only makes him try not to smile and push you away, insisting this is some form of mental abuse

It’s a few days later in the car when Mariah comes on again, but before you can change it you turn it up and start singing along - you thought that maybeeee if you showed some enthusiasm he’d let himself enjoy the damn music 😭

Well now it’s a few minutes later and Mariah’s not the only one trying to hit those whistle notes

You don’t think you’ve ever seen his mouth open so wide

You’re snorting so hard in the passenger seat at this point, trying to get out something about not crashing the car but he can’t hear you over his screaming and your sobbing

You pull your phone out to record the memory before it’s too late and as soon as this man catches you he’s trying to skip the song and look out the window as if that didn’t just happen, but you can see the remnants of his rare smile on his face

Ushijima: Kiss Me More - Doja Cat ft SZA

The two of you are driving home from grocery shopping feeling very tired but content when Ushijima’s suddenly turning down the radio and tapping your thigh to get your attention

“Hey, will you play that one song by that one girl who sings about good days or something, and the other one who made a song about, I think, a famous person, but I think it’s really about her boobs?”

Ushijima, what

You just look at him like,,, I have literally no clue what you’re talking about

He spends the next five minutes doing an awful job of trying to explain the song to you until he sighs and gives in, humming awkwardly while he snaps his fingers 😭

“I lofnabashmy TONGUE up on.... it?”

You’re trying not to giggle once you think you know what song he’s talking about, and hook up to the aux to, hopefully, play what he’s looking for

As soon as the first few beats of the song starts, Ushijima shoots you a glance from the side with a big thumbs up before he brings his attention back to the road.

At first it’s normal, just the song playing while you start to doze off, that is until you hear Ushijima singing along again and even move his head a little to the words.

Seeing him with the tiniest smile as he tries to remember the lyrics with his head moving back and forth, of course you’re gonna pull your phone out and record your adorable boyfriend.

Yeah, as soon as Tendou gets the notification on Snapchat and sees the video, “Kiss Me More” is now Ushi’s unofficial anthem.

okay a bit longer post about the cruise 🚢

we got to the terminal only like 15 minutes before the boarding started and everything went soooo smoothly there . we went to find our cabin and after that we headed to the starlight club where BC was going to perform. there were tons of people waiting for them to open the doors and when they finally did we knew we wouldn’t get front row so my friend realised that table next to the stage and we claimed that one soooo quick ! we were super lucky to have a table so we could have drinks , food and go around in tax free. we bought lots of drinks and snacks to have before the gig . we had like 4 hours to wait, but it went so quick in the best company !

it was so much fun to see some of the girls that I hadn't seen much after the summer and we laughed so much . when the gig was about to start we had been drinking for a while so I was actually very drunk 😭😭😂😂 we had a really good view and no one was in front of us. the only annoying thing was that the front row girls tried to push their way through the barrier... my memories from the gig are a bit shaky, but I for sure had a great time . I normally wouldn't even film much, but apparently I was so drunk that I have these 9 minute videos on my phone as I wasn't paying much attention to it.

i have some good videos and photos but I thought these were super funny as they describe the night quite well lmaooo.

the part that has stuck with me is when niko sang my heart will go on . honestly I've had the worst titanic phase in my life where I would watch the film every single day. I was obsessed and I already knew the lyrics to the song when I was like 11 and didn't even speak English at all. so this one was super special to me . the second niko started to sing I started crying and I cried throughout the whole song . I couldn't believe that I experienced that ? something that I will never forget . I love niko's voice so so much and what made that moment even more special is that I was with my bestest friends and I know how much the song means for niko too :(<3 (my friend took a video of me crying and now I just laugh at it . I got so emotional)

after the gig we spent time with the girls, ate dry wraps from the canteen and tried to find snus (success lmao) from other people . I met so many funny people . we played beer bong in the corridors and partied, listened to some more BC and talked deep shit with the girls . we stayed up all night and the morning was something else.. let's say that after that Sunday morning I understand a little bit better why the boys have said that joonas should have a gopro attached to him as he always goes missing. 😭😂

then we had the breakfast, it was alright but could've been better. sat around the ferry, went to tax free too many times to get juice and chocolate, pranked the crazy kids who ran after the boys all day, and then ended up in the same starlight club where the gig was to listen to some cringeworthy hits . after getting out and back in Helsinki we went to hesburger to fuel up and then headed back home to get a proper sleep <3

the boys are amazing and I couldn't be happier this tour happened ! we're getting some new restrictions so the New Years gig got cancelled for the audience and its happening behind closed doors, so being able to attend these shows meant so much to me !

[I know Valentine’s Day has already passed but I got this idea while daydreaming a few days ago and I couldn’t help myself. And also maybe I love this made-up celebration a bit too much and I don’t want to accept it’s over. If you dislike cheesy stuff this might not be for you lmao]

When it comes to Valentine’s, people are always either hardcore fans or hardcore haters. While you were definitely part of the first category, you just couldn’t understand how anyone can dislike a celebration that’s meant to spread love. And also, the pretty lingerie, the sweets, the champagne and the sex, hello?? You would have them any day of the year if you could. And if you had someone to celebrate with, in the first place.

As for people in the other category, they could hate it all they want but in your eyes they were probably just painfully single. Not that you weren’t, but you never wanted to let that spoil the fun. So what if you were single? What one can do with a partner, you could very well do on your own. So every year you made plans to do everything you wanted, but on a solo date instead of with somebody else. Love yourself first, right?

So on the morning of february 14th, after you were done with your self-pampering ritual, you stepped out for coffee and pancakes. The plan was that after breakfast, you would stop by the lingerie store and treat yourself to a nice set, then buy some sweets from the french bakery, then go home and get all dolled up for the evening, when you had reserved a table at a pink-themed restaurant, beautifully situated on the top floor of one of the highest buildings in your town. It was definitely among the most popular spots for that day, but you couldn’t care less that you were going by yourself. You could have gone with one of your girl friends, if they weren’t all already taken and spending the day “watching netflix”.

Thinking about the peaceful day that was ahead of you, you had almost reached your first destination. Your favorite cafe held an event today and served red pancakes with chocolate hearts as a special menu, as well as v-day themed coffee cups that you couldn’t wait to take photos of. As you entered the cafe, you spotted a familiar silhouette by the counter. He didn’t have to turn around for you to confirm it was him, because as soon as you heard him order his ice americano, your perfect day was already ruined. It was h/n.

Instead of saying hi, you groaned as you approached the counter. “Who drinks iced coffee in february? You have serious issues.”

He turned around, seemingly suprised to see you at first, but he quickly got to back to his usual self. “Only cool people can drink iced coffee, you wouldn’t understand. And also, a ‘good morning’ would have been enough.”

“It was good until I saw you, so now I can’t say that anymore, can I?” you said while scanning the menu. “One rose lemonade and the special strawberry pancakes with fresh cream, please.”

From where he was standing, you heard a dramatic gasp. “How can you tell me I have issues when you ingest so much sugar from this early in the day? If this is what you have for breakfast, what the hell are you having for dinner?” You wanted to slap that overly exaggerated shocked expression off his face.

“None of your fucking business. Now if you don’t mind I’m gonna walk to my table and go on with my day. If I spend another minute with you I’m afraid it might turn bitter and cold, like you and your beloved americano.”

You were beyond irritated that you had to put up with his shit today, too. You had met h/n at a party during university because of a mutual friend, and you immediately found out you had absolutely nothing in common, except both wanting to excel in your field and to be right at all times. Both of you had strong opinions and just wouldn’t back down. Every time you met, your personalities clashed, and the useless arguments and snarky remarks wouldn’t stop coming. It certainly didn’t help that he was so handsome and so good at what he did (he was a singer in a band) and that everyone else always complimented and admired him, because that made his ego grow and everything just annoyed you even more. Handsome boys always had to be over-confident and you hated that with a passion. The worst part was that he had every right to be confident, but you would never admit that. You weren’t sure what his opinion was of you but you didn’t care to know.

While you were sat at your table, scrolling through your phone and trying to block the previous conversation from re-entering your mind, he just casually sat down across from you at the table, putting down not one, but two iced americanos.

For a few seconds you stared at him blankly. “Can I know what the fuck are you doing?”

“I’m gonna try to convince you that americano is the best coffee.”

“Ha, nice try. What makes you think I would even try it? It’s way too cold outside to drink. Haven’t I told you I don’t want bitterness in my life?”

He smirked. “I asked the barista to put 3 pumps of sugar syrup in it so it can be at least remotely drinkable for you. You will also need someone to watch over you, since I expect you to have a heart attack from all the sweetness, so, before you ask me to, no, I don’t want to leave your drink here and fuck off. So since you’ll be stuck with me until you finish your breakfast, tell me, what have I done to make you dislike me so much?” he placed his chin on his left hand and took a sip of his americano. “I’m curious.” rather than annoyed with you, he looked rather playful.

“Wow, you seem to be having a lot of fun interrupting my day. Glad at least one of us is having a good time. If you want me to touch that drink, you better take out at least half of that amount of ice cubes. After that, we can talk.”

You didn’t expect him to actually do what you said, but he stood up without a word and slowly walked to the counter to ask the barista to fix it. He was so tall, that the strings of the heart shaped helium balloons that were floating around the ceiling reached his eyes, so he walked around the cafe shielding his face with his hand. Why did you find that cute all of a sudden? It’s like you had just realized that his height was very attractive to you. When he turned around, you were smiling at him.

He gave you a wide-eyed look while he was placing your drink down for the second time. “Now you’re smiling at me? Did the sugar from those pancakes get to your brain already?”

“It’s just kinda funny seeing you between all those heart-shaped pink balloons after our last argument.” He had argued that all these holidays, like Halloween, V-day, Mother’s day and so on are made up for purely capitalist purposes and people who celebrate just feed into the consumerism. Besides, his social media posts had appeared on your feed the other day, because he had shared a bunch of memes poking fun at the cheesy traditions. “So what are you doing here today anyway, I thought you were a Valentine’s day hater?”

“Only because I don’t have a date and I’m bitter about it, like you said. But you can change that.”

You quickly looked up from your plate to check for any sign that he’s joking, but he definitely wasn’t laughing. His eyebrow was cocked up and an annoying smirk was planted on his face. He looked so hot, it was absurd.

His proposal, combined with your own thoughts, made you burst into laughter. You were annoyed at the fact that you were considering it. “Aren’t you getting a bit ahead of yourself? Of course I can change that, but do you really think I will?” you asked ironically. You took a sip of the iced americano, hoping it would cool down your brain and help you think straight again.

He smiled. “I don’t know, but the fact that I just made you laugh is a good sign. Also,” he said pointing at the coffee, “you just drank that and didn’t complain. You just accepted my drink and I got you convinced it’s not bad, both at the same time. That’s three wins in a row for me.”

Shit, he was right.

“I love it when you talk back to me, so I’m almost feeling sorry I left you without any comeback to that.”, he laughed. “So what other plans do you have today? What else do I have to try to ruin?”

“Oh, just a bunch of uninteresting things. I’m sure a self-proclaimed cool dude like yourself would be bored just hearing about it.” That was it. Your defense had fallen, you were actually starting to like him, but you still wouldn’t admit it, so now you were adamant to prove you were completely uninterested in him and he didn’t affect you even in the slightest. You were even willing to accept him tagging along when you went shopping if he wanted. Half because you wanted to spend more time with him without actually accepting his half-hearted date proposal, and half because you wanted him to think you don’t care even if he tries to bother you.

“Well, I don’t have anything better to do today. You asked me what I’m doing here, I actually simply came to get coffee. So do you mind if I come with you? Annoying you is more fun than doing nothing on a sunday.”

Perfect, you thought. You fake-rolled your eyes. “Whatever. You’ve already ruined my day, it can’t get worse no matter how much you’ll talk. Let’s go shopping, I know men are absolutely crazy over this activity, so let’s see how much fun you’ll have there.”

“Try me.” he said while finishing his drink.

You smiled and, having finished your breakfast, you stood up.“You might want to have another americano to-go, to keep you from getting tainted with my sweetness. Get up, we’re going to buy chocolate eclairs.”

So Taemin loves you, full stop

This man doesn’t do anything halfway, so when you’re in his heart, you’re there for life. No going back now (not that you’d ever want to)

He texts you all the time and so randomly

It’ll be like 3 in the morning and he’ll somehow know you’re still awake and you’ll get a bunch of stabby emojis and a threat to “go to sleep or else”

“Taemin how did you even know I was awake?”

“lol you never turned off your instagram activity status”

Taemin must have some kind of best friend spider senses, because he always knows when you need a rescue

Ok maybe he doesn’t need spider senses because you’re happy to text rant him when you’re stuck on a project or the coffee line is too long

You message him late at night because you’re stumped on work, and suddenly you have a Taemin at your door at midnight. “Ice cream will help”

And that’s how you and Taemin started your midnight ice cream runs

Now it’s a thing—you don’t even argue, you just slip on your biggest sweatshirt and slip out the door with him, giggling like fiends

When the weather is nice enough, you’ll talk and walk around the city eating your ice cream

Or even better, he takes to back to your apartment or his and you sit on the rooftop watching the stars and enjoying the melting ice cream

Taemin literally always drips some on his pants lol

And you always forget to grab extra napkins, so you just laugh at his suffering

“These are expensive :(”

“Omg just wear pajamas next time you dummy”

Sometimes you have your rescue ice cream really late and Taemin accidentally falls asleep on your shoulder, especially during comeback season when his schedule is insane

And if it’s cold you’ll slip out of your giant sweatshirt and share it with him like a blanket, because he’s a big boy and should’ve worn more clothes, you don’t have that much sympathy haha

You joke that you’re only friends with him for access to Kkoongie

This of course means that you have to fight to convince Taemin that she loves him more than you

You get back to the apartment and Kkoongie runs up to you first

“Taemin stop it omg she was sitting in your spot on the couch”

Suddenly he’s all smiles and cuddling Kkoongie “that’s right she likes me best”

The two of you stop to pet literally every dog you pass

It’s worse when you’re together, you’ll take twice as long to walk anywhere

And every single time, without fail, Taemin gives you the puppy dog eyes “can we adopt one?”

You have to remind him that no you can’t because you live in separate apartments and joint custody isn’t fair

Your favorite friend dates are going to cafes, and you think you’ve visited every kind of cat/dog/lamb/whatever cafe in Seoul

You’ll sit in there for hours until you realize how many missed messages you have on your phones

Sometimes he orders your coffee by accident, even when you’re not with him, and then he has to drink it even though it’s not his favorite 😂
