Honest to god, I think that was my favorite episode. Like holy shit. Last weeks stuff was good, gave some good insight to the politics and blah blah blah. But I LIVE for the characters moments. And this episode, this episode was it.

Just some thoughts, because I need to get them out.

The fact that Tech and Wrecker were fighting was honestly some of the most sibling energy we’ve seen. We can tell tensions are high because they just lost a member even if he is going to be back. It’s still a big change for all of them. And I thought it was very natural dialogue between them.

I also really enjoyed Tech’s arc in this one. I just… can’t put it into words like I’m sure some people will. But it was really nice getting to see this side of him. A sarcastic smart solider who loves his family dearly, just isn’t the best at handling the emotional stuff. 

I loved Hunter and Wrecker too, they are trying so hard for their little sister.

And Omega, she is I think my favorite. I love her honesty with the batch, her frustrations with their sealed off emotions and how she brings out the best in them. The moment in the tunnel with her all alone and she turned off the lantern. Idk, it got to me.

Anyway, I just love this show and I love this family. I can’t wait to see what else they do with them. Can’t wait for next week.

should i go watch mad god and is it a perfectly normal and sane movie? would i be mentally affected if i watched it on acid?

Mad God by Phil Tippett is by far the most normal movie ever made. Devoid of any confusing, strange, surreal or dark content, the film is an entirely inoffensive and plain movie that will not give anyone nightmares nor inspire any artists to achieve new heights in their own work. It is truly a celebration of conventional storytelling, and an homage to the delights of normality and unassuming plainness.

More seriously though, it is my new favorite movie. I haven't seen such dark creativity and grotesquery since the best days of the Quays, Svankmajer, Tool and Caro/Jeunet. I'd call it Metropolis meets Street of Crocodiles. But it's really something new. It's original and phenomenal in its design, pseudo-narrative and imagery. And it's likely the last time we will see anything quite like it. Like a last gasp of a dying art form by the grand master of it, made over 30 years as a true passion project.

I don't know why anyone would watch it on drugs, it seems like that would be redundant.
