This is for my TCC girlies as a kind advice and words from a girl attending uni, in her early 20s, with the past of 3 crushes on teachers. The last one made me ditch the rose colored glasses for good. And y'all should do it too. Or least put them down occasionally so you can see better. I'm not saying that all teachers are like that. Not at all. You can have sympathy for them, they can help you a lot with research and possibly you can even become good friends. All I'm saying is not everyone has your best interest in mind and it applies to life in general unfortunately. This year, I was obsessing over my teacher badly. Later I found out that he divorced his first wife with whom he had a kid and is now divorcing his second wife because he cheated on her. The relationship with him could never be the one I really want. I was laser focused on the idealized version of him. Be wary of that. You have to allow yourself to see the person for who he really is, not the potential of him. He might be this calm, handsome, intriguing...add whatever quality you want person. You might even relate to them. A lot. They might have those qualities or it could be just a facade and underneath they are hiding their carelessness, anger and bitterness. YOUR needs matter. I cared so much about being perfect for people who couldn't care less and forgot to be perfect for myself. Because for the right people, you're going to be perfect just the way you are. I thought I was in love. The truth is, I was never in love. Because love is oh so different. Me, you, we deserve nothing less than that. This is my message for y'all as we're approaching the New Year.

I'd like to educate people and share this story and possible other ones and make some sort of impact if possible. So if y'all know of any platform suitable for this, let me know. Maybe I'd even create a chat group or something for us to share it all. The good the bad and help each other grow.
